Jack Deveraux and Jennifer Horton

Date: July 2, 1991

Wedding Party: Maid of Honor--Carly Manning; Bridesmaids--none; Best Man--Marcus Hunter (who was chosen to represent Steve, since he was Steve's best friend and Steve couldn't stand up for his brother); Groomsmen--none; Bill Horton walked his daughter down the aisle

Wedding Attire: Jennifer's dress was made on short notice by someone in Salem. Actually, costume Designer Richard Bloore created Jennifer Deveraux's dress. The bride wore a simple princess-line sheath made out of a cotton lace, which Bloore ordered from Switzerland. The lace was hand-beaded with crystal bugle beads and seed pearls. The beading was done in New York. The lace fabric is overlaid on a piece of off-pink silk satin. The shoulders are surrounded by off-pink satin fabric flowers, which Bloore enhanced with aurora borealis lochrosen (a sew-on crystal) and small butterflies made of net and pearls. The neckline is trimmed with baroque pearls. "I scattered some of the lochrosen over the bodice and the sleeves," Bloore explains. "The five-yard train is a Watteau back [the name comes from the manner in which the 18th century painter depicted dresses in his paintings] in silk satin. The train is gathered in a fan-like shape at the shoulders. I put some more of the fabric flowers and the butterflies where the train drops off the back." Jennifer's headpiece is a halo shape of the off-pink satin, which has been gathered. To this, Bloore sewed the motif of fabric flowers, lochrosen and butterflies for detail. The veil is short - three layers of sparkle illusion. The bride wore off-pink satin pumps. She wore something blue (from Alice): a blue garter she wore at her own wedding to Tom, something old: a pearl necklace that belonged to Laura that Bill gave to her, something new: the Groom, and something borrowed (from Carly): Jennifer's first pair of earrings that she got after she had her ears pierced, and wore non-stop for days, which Carly promised to save for her on her wedding day.

Pre-Wedding Events: Jack and Jennifer were waiting for Lawrence's rape trial to end in order to get married. The wedding date was set when Jack announced to Jennifer in front of the WATB news camera (at the courthouse) that she could invite whomever she wanted to the wedding. All of Salem ended up being invited (and 4000 attended), as well as other noted personalities, including Raisa Gorbachev, Jane Pauley and Nancy Reagan. In the days leading up to the wedding, Jack and Eve's marriage was annuled so he was free to wed Jennifer. Jack developed hysterical laryngitis days before the ceremony, leaving him without a voice. He also had a nightmare at the Wild West Arena before the ceremony. When Jack was awakened at the Wild West show, he remarked to the man who saved him that there was to be a wedding, "Miss Horton's wedding!" and then he ran off. Jennifer's father, Bill, was able to return to town for the ceremony to walk his daughter down the aisle. Jack was also able to arrange his mother's release from the sanitarium for the day to be at the ceremony.

The Ceremony: Jennifer recited a poem to Jack called "Marriage." During the ceremony, Jack was asked to repeat, "I, Harper Jack, take thee Jennifer Rose." Jack recited, "I, Harper Jack, take thee Miss Horton ..."

Reception: on The riverfront, inside and outside of The Sandollar restaurant. The couple danced to their song, "All I Have"

While Emilio waited at altar, Jack and Jennifer boarded a classic fire engine, where he finally revealed his identity. The off-the-shoulder bodice was long-sleeved and had a layer of re-embrodered applique lace over silk. Small wax flowers were used for the headpiece.

Pre-Wedding Events: Carly and Lawrence discovered that the son they thought they'd lost was alive and living in Salem. However, Carly did not inform Bo of this revelation and continued to go along with their wedding plans.

The Ceremony: Just as the lovely doctor was about to exchange vows with rebel-turned-cop Bo Brady, her ex-lover, Lawrence Alamain, stormed the chapel with a devastating announcement. Naturally, the groom was surprised when Lawrence crashed the ceremony, announced the boy's parentage, and informed Carly that their child had been kidnapped by his adoptive mother (Vivian). Carly left Bo holding the rings and raced away with Lawrence to retrieve their offspring.

Kate Roberts and Victor Kiriakis

Date: September 6, 1993

Location: Penthouse Grille

Wedding Party: Marlena was the Maid of honor, John was the Best man

Wedding Attire: Kate got ready at her Titan office. Kate wore a simple suit while Victor and John wore tuxes with boutonnieres.

Pre-Wedding Events: It was a marriage of convenience, more of a business merger than a wedding. Kate and Victor's wedding was very spur of the moment. He came to her bedside one morning carrying a single red rose and a diamond bracelet. She accepted his proposal &endash; she was already wearing a giant diamond engagement ring - and they were married that same night.

Victor was still curious about Kate's past, which she wouldn't share with him. He'd even done a little research and was carrying around some newspaper clippings with info about his betrothed's back story. Kate spent the day of her wedding working. Before they left Titan, Kate and Victor signed the prenuptial agreement. Vivian, of course, was stunned to learn that Victor was marrying Kate and she warned her nemesis that someday she would be Mrs. Victor Kiriakis.

The Ceremony: The ceremony was quick. A judge presided over the nuptials and Carrie, Austin, Kristen, Brandee, Peter, Lucas and Marie were in attendance.

Reception: Penthouse Grille--Vivian crashed the wedding and caught the bouquet, then warned the happy couple that they wouldn't make it until Thanksgiving. After they tied the knot, Kate handed the deed to the Spectator over to Victor, much to Jack's chagrin.

Honeymoon: There was no honeymoon for this happy couple, but the wedding night wasn't a total loss. Carrie and Lucas arranged a champagne supper for the two of them. Kate, however, was still unsure about how she felt about her new husband, while he was too busy with business to pay much attention to his new bride. They finally succumbed to their passion and Kate even managed to tell Victor that she loved him. They decided to put the past behind them and start over fresh.

Status: The marriage was invalid because Kate was still married to Curtis. Victor found this out in April of 1994. They planned to remarry, but never did because of Vivian's interference

Tony and Kristen DiMera

Date: December 10, 1993

Location: St. Luke's Catholic Church

Wedding Party: best man--Peter Blake

Wedding Attire:

Pre-Wedding Events:

The Ceremony: John interrupted the ceremony to inform Kristen that Belle had been kidnapped. Kristen backed out from the wedding shortly after the ceremony began. She felt that she needed to find the kidnapped Belle Brady, whom she felt attached to, before marrying. The excuse for this was to clear the DiMera family name in the Bradys' eyes. Her strong feelings for John Black, however, also influenced her decision. She left the church to search for Belle.
