Location: St. Luke's Catholic Church, Salem (it had just been remodeled)

Wedding Party: Maid of Honor--Maggie Horton; Bridesmaids--Kimberly and Kayla Brady; Best Man--Abe Carver; Groomsmen--Chris Kositchek and Shane Donovan; Flower Girl--Carrie Brady; Eric and Sami--part of the procession, yet not actually members of the wedding party. No one walked Marlena down the aisle. She made the trip on her own.

Wedding Attire: Marlena wore a dress that has never since been matched--some call it the "Statue of Liberty Dress" because of the fringes that shot out of the head piece. It was a stunning gown for a beautiful lady. Calliope made the gown. The bridesmaid's dresses were purple. They were shorter in front and longer in the back with a bit of a train. In front, they had a V-shaped area of silver sparkles in the center, by the bustline and in the middle of the front of their skirts. It also had a shawl attached around the back around the shoulders. Kim and Kayla wore pearl necklaces and white flowers in their hair. Maggie wore a pale blue dress with vertical shirring along w/ flowers in her hair

Pre-Wedding Events: Marlena was trying to talk a drug addict off a ledge when she toppled out of the building. After she awoke from a month-long coma, Roman proposed to her in the hospital and they were wed later that week. Just before the cermony, Gregory, from Stockholm called Roman for a meeting, delaying him.

The Ceremony: Eric and Sami were afraid to come down the aisle with everyone else looking on, so Roman went down the aisle and walked them down it, holding their hands. When Marlena arrived at the altar, Roman tenderly kissed her, but the priest said "Not yet, John." Everyone laughed. Marilyn McCoo, as Tamara Price, an old friend of Marlena's, sang "Up Where We Belong" to the couple, after Liz Curtis was unavailable to sing. They had flashbacks while Tamara sang, showing when a bandaged John first saw Marlena, they were first introduced with the bandages off his face, she saw the tattoo on his back, they battled the waters in West Virginia, she realized he was Roman, embracing him for the first time after realizing that, and to him proposing to her in the hospital. They repeated the poem "This is the true season of love," which was recited at their first wedding (Roman and Marlena). They recited these vows At the end of the ceremony, the priest said "There were two, but are now united as one." When they reached the back of the church after being pronounced husband and wife, Roman kissed Marlena, then said "Hang on, Doc! This is just the beginning and there's no stopping us now baby!" and they kissed passionately again.

Reception: Blondie's--Following the wedding, the limo stopped at the pier where Roman found Gregory's body in the water. For this reason, they were delayed in getting to the reception, and they left early.

Honeymoon:Mazatlan, Mexico--Roman became pre-occupied with dealing with Gregory's death and the mystery surrounding him, thus putting off their honeymoon. Instead they went back to West Virginia to try to solve the mystery.
