Envious of Marlena's cushy life, her twin sister, Samantha, took a crash course in psychiatry, then knocked Marlena out cold, threw her in a sanitarium, and took over her life. Marlena was eventually rescued and given back her stolen identity, and Samantha was given some much-needed therapy. Samantha was eventually killed by the Salem Strangler. |

Thaao Penghlis played both roles Andre (top) was the Salem Slasher. He had his face surgically altered to look like Tony's. After chaining up Tony in his penthouse, Andre paraded around town as Tony, fooling even Tony's main squeeze, Anna. Andre even went on a killing spree and made it look like Tony was trying to frame Roman for the crimes. After going down in a plane crash, Andre "perished" on Stefano's island when he sank and drowned in a pool of quicksand during a struggle with Tony. Tony left Salem years later, but reappeared in 1993, working for his father, and in love with Kristen Blake. After being diagnosed with a rare blood disease, Tony believed he would die. However, Stefano took Tony away on his jet to get help for him. While Tony was in a coma for years, his cousin, Andre, was once again masquerading as Tony and causing trouble in Salem. When the whole town headed to Aremid, Andre and Stefano went too. Stefano hated Andre and convinced Andre that he shared the same fatal blood disease that Tony had and convinced him to pretend he was Tony in Aremid and to set John up to kill him. John was sent to the gas chamber for "Tony's murder." Tony surprisingly returned to Salem in 2002, very much alive. Tony revealed the switch with Andre, explaining he had lost the will to live after learning about Kristen's affair with John and how she was planning to marry John after divorcing him. Tony was back with to cause more trouble for John and his family. |

Played by Camilla More (Gillian, and later Grace, left) and Carey More (Grace, right) - Real life twin sisters. Gillian had Grace come to town New Years Eve, 1986 to pretend to be Gillian, while Gillian killed Emma Marshall. Gillian framed Kim for the murder, so she could have Shane. Gillian was caught when Shane noticed she was acting quite strange. On a trip to London, Shane found Grace and brought her to Salem to help him catch Gillian. Once Gillian was taken to jail, Camilla More began to play the role of Grace, and Carey More left Days. Grace was later killed by the Riverfront Knifer. |

Charles Shaugnessy played both roles (Shane is above, Drew is below) Drew returned from London and was soon discovered to be Stefano's informant "Iago." Drew had once been an ISA agent, but had become corrupt. Stefano hired him to lure Shane and the Bradys to an island, where they would be (but obviously weren't) done in. In the meantime, Drew became infatuated by Calliope Jones, who was dating Ethan Reilly at the time. |

Duke Earl Johnson

Both played by James Luisi Wasn't their mom creative with their names? Duke Earl is the father of Steve, Adrienne and Jack and husband of Jo Johnson. He was shot by Adrienne in 1987 after he raped her. He later appeared in many of Jack's nightmares (when he feared turning evil like his fathers.) Earl Duke appeared in 1989. Adrienne couldn't believe her eyes when she saw him for the first time, thinking he was her father. Only Jo knew that Duke had a twin. She explained the situation to Adrienne and everything was OK. Earl stayed in town for an extremely short time and then moved on. |

Both played by Robert Kelker-Kelly, but voice of Mitch by another actor. Lawrence Alamain hired Mitch to act as Bo and get Bo into trouble with the police force. Mitch was extremely greasy with long hair and a nasty beard and strange voice. Bo was brought up on police brutality as a result of Mitch's doings. Officer Taylor McCall was also involved with Mitch and Lawrence. |

Both played by Staci Greason While trying to exorcise Marlena, the Devil tried to taunt John with memories and a vision of his dead wife, Isabella! IzzyB told John that if he renounced God, they could be together, that God wasn't worth loving, since he seperated them. John was mesmerized by the image of his late wife, and almost gave in. It was really one of the Devil's tricks. When Kristen, Caroline, and Father Francis entered the room, they couldn't see who John was talking to, just then John told Isabella he didn't believe it was really her, since she wouldn't ask him to give up his beliefs and since she hadn't ask anything about Brady. Suddenly, she turned into a horrific-looking beast which then disappeared in a puff of smoke. After Marlena was exorcised, the real IzzyB appeared to John, and praised him for his courage and ability to see through the Devil's charade. Afterwards, she vanished. |

All characters were played by Eileen Davidson Kristen, desperate to hold on to John, gets pregnant with his child. Unfortunately, she loses the baby when she's about 4-5 months along in her pregnancy. However, she doesn't tell anyone other than her brother, Peter, and father, Stefano, about the miscarriage. Stefano, who would do anything for his children (especially since it would leave Marlena for him), concocted a plan for Kristen to remain "pregnant." Stefano found a woman named Susan, who was about 5-6 months pregnant and bore some resemblance to Kristen, to impersonate her at her doctor appointments. He would pay her off and she would give her child to Kristen, for her to raise with John. Susan had a southern accent, bad teeth, ugly glasses, uncombed brown hair, and a few extra pounds on her, but cleaned up nicely to play Kristen. Susan unfortunately fell for John and decided to rebel against Kristen to get John for herself. Susan went to extremes to hold onto John, even locking Kristen in the secret room with Marlena. With Susan impersonating Kristen, it seemed as though Susan had disappeared. That's when Sister Banks arrived in Salem. She came to find Susan, since she hadn't heard from her in a while. It was Mary Moira who told John about Susan's Elvis tattoo, which came close to revealing Susan as the Kristen imposter. We later found out that that Susan and Mary Moira weren't twins, but quadruplets. They have a brother, Thomas Banks, who is also played by Davidson. He doesn't look anything like his sisters, other than possessing the trademark teeth. Many months later, we found out about their sister, who had been adopted by a British family. Her name was Penelope Kent. She was murdered by Edmund and left in the pool. She was played by Davidson also, with a British accent and normal teeth. Her adopted father had been an orthodontist so he had taken care of the horrible Banks teeth. |

Both played by Kristian Alfonso Princess Gina was an old associate of Stefano's, who was aiding him in stealing famous and priceless works of arts from Europe's elite society. Her partner in crime was John Black, back when he was Stefano's pawn. The two fell in love, but when Stefano took John away in order to have him impersonate Roman in Salem, Gina's heart broke and she sank into a deep depression, unable to carry out the rest of Stefano's missions. Stefano took her to Maison Blanche, where the long presumed dead Hope was. Due to the similarity between the two, Stefano brainwashed Hope into Gina, and she stole the rest of the paintings. Some years after Hope was found again in MB and had her memory back, it was revealed that the real Gina had been kept in a turret at a castle she owned in France, as Stefano ordered. Eventually Gina escaped from the turret and after learning all about Hope and Stefano's plans, she set out to get revenge. In an amazing turn of events and fates, she locked Stefano and Hope in the same turret. She arrived in Salem and took over Hope's life, even marrying and making love to Bo, before going over the deep end. In a crazy mess of things she was shot by Bo during their wedding reception, and later died in hospital. DNA tests later proved it was Gina's body and not Hope's, thus setting off the search for Hope in early 2000. |

Played by Deidre Hall (Marlena, left) and Andrea Hall-Gengler (Hattie, right) - Real life twin sisters. Abe and Roman meet Hattie, an average blue-collar diner waitress, who carries a striking resemblance to Marlena. Hattie becomes smitten with Roman at first. When Stefano notices this resemblance to Marlena, he of course, decides to use it to his advantage. With Bart and Rolf's help, he arranges for her to have plastic surgeries to make her more Marlena-like. Hattie decides to use her new shining looks to get Roman. When she and Marlena meet one day at Salem Place, Marlena is stopped dead on her tracks, amazed at the amazement between Hattie and her dead sister Samantha. Marlena wonders if it is her. Hattie freaks out thinking Marlena is crazy. Roman later explains to Hattie about Marlena and her sister. Fearing that Hattie will snitch to the police about his wrong doings, Stefano tells Rolf to woo Hattie, but to no use, as her love for the handsome cop Roman is greater than her allegiance to Stefano.
