Facts:

Ernesto--the father of the clan was famous for his ability to perform magical illusions. He created the "Cruise of Deception" on the Loretta. He was also responsible for Hope's "death" over a vat of acid in July 1990.

Loretta--she died as a fairly young woman, of mysterious causes. She had an affair with Victor that produced Isabella. Ernesto's Cruise of Deception ship was named after her.

Victor--had an affair with Loretta that produced Isabella. He didn't know the child was his until the info was found in Loretta's diary in Italy in 1990.

Marina--was Steve Johnson's first wife. She was believed dead many years earlier, which was why Steve had never mentioned her. When she reappeared in Salem, she immediately tried to break up Steve and Kayla. She was murdered and Kayla was put on trial for her murder. It was later discovered that Isabella had murdered her, out of jealousy, because Ernesto loved Marina, not her.

Isabella--was first seen living in Bayview sanitarium. Ernesto had her committed because he wanted her out of the picture. There was nothing wrong with her mental health. She initially teamed up with Jack, who helped prove that she was not insane. She was raised as Ernesto's daughter, but it was later proved that she was Victor's child. She fell in love with John Black during the Cruise of Deception and later married him and gave birth to Brady on the same day. She died of pancreatic cancer in October 1992.
