LouiseSorl: No, I HAD NO IDEA, THE CHARACTER WASN'T FLESHED OUT. It was really overwhelming especially since it is such a monstrous character.

LouiseSorl: No, but the names Sorel Book, he's a NY character actor. there is a guy Sorel and 3 or 4 other Sorels but I am not related to any them.

LouiseSorl: I don't think it's going to happen, She has to have someone who is going to get her in trouble. I know a lot of people would like to see that though and I can understand why.

LouiseSorl: About 150 guest roles and Movies and Broadway stuff...I should be dead by now. It's an awful long list!

LouiseSorl: Oh, it is certainly not her fall. She always dusts herself off and starts all over again. That is her character. You never really know what is going to happen, I can't say much more because, you know......

Question: How much script do you have to memorize for each show?
LouiseSorl: Funny, I'm sitting here with my scripts in my lap. It fluctuates from 15 pages to 25 per day.

Question: What has been your favorite story line?
LouiseSorl: The most interesting to play was burying Carly alive. It was very emotional and rather scary and it challenged us, it was a horrifying situation. We didn't have any gimmicks or anything to help us along. It was scary and Fun, if you can believe it.

LouiseSorl: I can't answer that. That is always something that no one knows. I think I'll have to move on some point. Artists do need to move on. But I don't know when yet, and I thank you very much for the complement.

plot from the actors?
LouiseSorl: I would have to say No comment on that. Because I never really took a poll. We all try to support each other. And wherever the characters go it is up to the writers, but I have to refrain from really commenting on that!

LouiseSorl: in Actuality I really don't do much work with him. He is really nice but we don't have any real intense work together. He is part of the team though ...I can't give you any dirt!

LouiseSorl: I have my doubts. My perception is she is using him to get to Victor. She is not incapable of him. She is not really hateful to him....she could have but it hasn't developed yet.

Maybe she hooked up with Keith Timmons and the 2 of them are on the

LouiseSorl: In my fantasy she is off traveling with Lionel in Egypt, uncovering a tomb.

Question: What are Crystal and Michael up to now?
LouiseSorl: Michael is on All my Children, and Crystal is on One Life to Live. They are both in NYC and very happy except for their poor dog that is missing. I'll say hello to them for you, I'll be in NY next week. You can read all about them in the Magazines!

LouiseSorl: Could she get more wicked? She is doing a good job. I can't really tell you, we don't know I just got next week's script, it is a surprise to us every week.

Question: Will you be at any of the events during the Days Weekend in
June?
LouiseSorl: It's always a bit iffy, I never know where I'm going to be but I would like to be there...if I don't have to be somewhere else. It's always frustrating because it comes at memorial Day weekend which is tough. But the fans are amazing!

Question: How was the adjustment to the actress who plays Kate? She has a
resemblance to the previous Kate.
LouiseSorl: It's fine there is a similarity in color, she is a very different person It is always hard adjusting to new people. But she's doing a great job. It's hard for an actress to come in like that and take over a job and she is doing great.

Question: Have there ever been plots so outlandish that you objected to
them,(i.e. the Chinese herbalist and his death-state inducing herbs?)
LouiseSorl: I have to say that I don't want to comment too much specifically. I though we might hear from some chinese people who took offense to that justifiably. It's hard on soaps because the stories come and go so quickly we really don't have much say in them. On a previous show I did object and it caused some problems but I don't regret it. Our show IS over the top so most people don't take it too seriously, but we do have a responsibility.

LouiseSorl: That was the most disgusting thing I have experienced in my CAREER!! It was Gack shaped as Fish. It was Tomato soup with....well... it was like something that you swallowed then came back up again. I will never NEVER do that again, and I'll tell them that!!!

LouiseSorl: No it is disappointing sometimes because I'm very critical, I don't watch all the time, when there is a scene that went well That I feel good about I'll watch, but I usually just want to do it over!

Question: If you could have any role, what would it be and why
LouiseSorl: Thinking....There are so many, I've always wanted to do Hedda Gabler complexities! I'm always interested in underlying motives in a character and she has a wonderful, private hell going on. Another that I did do was Shaw's Caesar and Cleopatra I was a little too young as an actress and I would like to do it again.

LouiseSorl: Well, There aren't any really, women are usually victims and witches and heroines are from another time really. I like playing more interesting, dangerous active characters.

Question: What advise would you give someone who is trying to get into
acting?
LouiseSorl: STUDY go and work in a workshop, READ and WATCH and LISTEN. Definitely go and work, don't fantasize about things they don't last...read lots of plays.
