These are random Days facts that didn't seem to
fit anywhere else on my page. They are all things that I have found
in magazines or books, or that I wrote down in my years of Days
watching, unless noted. I hope they bring back memories of some of
the good old Days. If you have anything you'd like to see included,
please send me email. (Especially those of you overseas who are a few
years behind on Days and can remind me of things I've
forgotten.)
According to its license plates, which are
blue, Salem is in "The Friendly State." (1/97)

that injured Sami. In December 1997, when they showed the car
Travis was using to take Jenn to the Grand Canyon, it was a beige
Buick sedan, with the Salem license plate TRH 782.
Jack drives a silver Lincoln Town
Car, with a blue license plate, RDY 241 (11/96)
Lawrence drives a black Mercedes
convertible
Lucas owns a black Porsche with a
license plate "LUCAS 1." He also drives a red BMW convertible with
a black top that Kate bought for him.
Mike bought a 1959 red Corvette in
May 1997. He purchased it at Adan's showroom.
Bo calls his old clunker of a car,
"Rex" (6/99). It seems that by 2001, this clunker had been fixed
up a bit. Shawn began driving it regularly. It's a tan Chevy
pickup truck, at least 40 years old. The license plate in July
2002 was _ _ F 869. Once again, it said Salem was "The
friendly state."
When Vivian and Ivan left
Salem in February 2000, their limo had a sign that said, "Just
Marvelous." The license plate was UAF 869
Jennifer knows how to hotwire cars,
although her specialty is motorcycles. She is also able to get

When only a bull-dozer or a tank
could make it through the storm of the century, Kate was

After Jack's car plunged into the
Salem River, Bo found his license plate. It was UAF
869, which has been previously used on other cars.

reappeared, he was made Captain and Abe stayed a Lieutenant. (When
Marlena came back to town in 1991, she kept looking for Cpt.
Brady). In 1988, Abe was promoted to Captain in the same ceremony
where RoJohn was promoted to Commander. They stayed in these
positions until 1992. When Roman returned, he fell into the
Commander job that John had secured for him. When Roman went
undercover to get Torres, Abe was promoted to Commander. When
Roman returned, he was demoted to Capt. Abe remains the Commander
of the Salem PD today.

Tom Horton's medical specialty was

are from stories we heard about the character's childhood. The only
things actually seen onscreen are noted.
Lawrence Alamain used to go crazy
when he heard "Hush Little Baby," because it was the song his
mother sang to him when he was a child. It reminded him of
watching Forrest (John) drown.
As a young boy, Steve had a toy
train that he played with all the time. It was his only real toy
in the orphanage.
Kate left Austin and

When Sami tried to put Belle
up for adoption after kidnapping her, she used the name Nancy
White when dealing with the shady lawyer. She called Belle,
Emily.
Kristen and John posed as Mr. and
Mrs. Hooper, a married couple trying to adopt a baby from the same
lawyer.
Karen Winston was Sami's classmate
who put up her baby for adoption.
The lawyer who
arranged Belle's adoption was Mr. Steven Miller, his
secretary's name was Vera.
Bob and Anita Robertson
were the first couple that was to adopt Belle, but when
they argued about the new name they would give the
baby, Sami
said she would never give her baby to a couple that had arguments
all the time.
Fears
Billie is afraid of heights. Kate
asked her how can she be afraid of heights because she had flown
in an airplaine before. Billie told her that helicopter is
different. Billie said that a plane for her is like a bus with
wings. She slightly overcame her fear when she flew to Smith
Island by helicopter to stop Bo from making love to Gina (during
1994). Kate arranged the helicopter. The pilot's name was
Chuck.
Jack is claustrophobic.

Names
When Lexie went to the cemetery in
Aremid to look at her parents' graves, Celeste told her
that her parents were named John Prescott Warfield (died Apr. 14,
1862) and Priscilla Hopkins Ashcroft (died Sept. 22, 1870).
Obviously they were not the graves of her parents, since they were
dead long before she was born.
When Bo went undercover to look for
the "parking lot shooter" (Curtis Brown/Reed) in Los Angeles, he
used the name Hank Richards. Malco was the man who he had contact
with in the mob. The L.A. cop he worked with was named Ozzie. Bo
and Billie stayed at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in L.A.
When Jenn looked for Clark in
Chicago, she dressed up in a black wig and called herself Jane
Hathaway, and tried getting a secretary job at "The Meadows," to
look for Clark's file.
The Jennifer Deveraux Fan Club was
Jenn's fan club when she had her show in 1995. The
president is a middle-aged African-American woman, named
Lenore.
In 1996 the name of Brady and
Belle's nanny was Mrs. Naughton, so maybe Chelsea's name is
Chelsea Naughton, because she became the nanny in
1996.
Mister Murphy is the supervisor in the
apartment-building on Guilford, where Austin, Jonah, Carrie and
Billie live (1993).
The Dragon was actually the Duke of Earl in
England. He was bitter about his place in the British Royal
Family.
Mrs. Mary-Ann Potter is Shawn and
Caroline's neighbor (1993).
Jamie Caldwell's mom is named Gloria

Horton all got parts in "Wild Night of the Teenage Vampires:
Part II" in 1990 or 1991. The movie was filmed in Salem, with the
majority of the scenes taking place in Lawrence Alamain's
house.
Roman doesn't like opera
Jack Deveraux celebrates Watergate
--the day of the break-in at the Democratic headquarters--every
June 17. (At least the old, politically-oriented Jack
did.)
Caroline polishes silver when she's
upset. Her favorite novel is Pride and
Prejudice.

Victor Kiriakis is Charlie
Jannings' godfather
Steve, Bo and Britta Englund all
have dagger tattoos (actually they are sais, a martial arts
weapon). Steve's was on his shoulder in the front. Bo's is on his
back in his shoulder area. Britta's was on her thigh. They got
them as part of a friendship pact when they lived in Switzerland,
when Bo and Steve were in the Merchant Marines. When configured a
certain way, they point to the location of the treasury bonds in
Stockholm.

Curtis nickname for his daughter Billie was
Baby, at first she wasnt annoyed by it, but when he was doing
drugs again, she hated it when he called her like that. When
Curtis was dead, Bo and Billie once shared an intimate moment. Bo
called her Baby, just like Curtis did and Billie freaked out. Bo
didnt understand, but Billie didnt want to explain it.
