Kathryn used her God given ability to sing and comedic precense to bring entertainment to the troops to help ease some of the intense strain and incredible pain and loneliness of the soldiers serving on the field.

Recently Kaye reflected on the importance of her Days role in determining her focus later in life. In that role, Kaye had the opportunity to be the first to introduce a new song to the TV audience "You Light Up My Life." Viewers responded immediately, feeling the inspiration of the lyrics. "I knew then that if I got the kind of response from one song, I had to do an album of inspirational, motivational, spiritual-pop music," Kaye prophesied. It would be years before her dream became reality. On July 7, 1994, Neva Penner, programmer for Dr. Robert Schuller's "Hour of Power" television ministries, called from her offices at the Crystal Cathedral in Garden Grove, California and asked Kathryn to appear on the show to be taped October 16, 1994. On that date, singing for over 30 million viewers, Kathryn's prayers for a world-wide Christian music ministry had been answered!
