(Brooke
Hamilton 1978-80/Stephanie Woodruff)
I received an email from Eileen in July,1997, and this is what she's
been up to:
"I've also done lots and lots of theatre since Days. Actually, I did
a lot before Days, too. Anyway, I starred on Broadway in Tommy Tune's
"NINE" with Sergio Franchi. I played his wife, Luisa Contini until
the play closed. I also have played Aldonza in a number of
productions of "Man of La Mancha." Two with Lane Davies. One was
directed by my husband, Bruce French. I just returned from a
production of "La Mancha" where I starred with Jon Cypher. I recently
closed in the West Coast Premier of Stephen Sondheim's "Putting it
Together" here in Los Angeles at the Colony Theatre. There have been
lots of other musicals--"No No Nanette," "Showboat," "Hearbeats," and
many others. I also had a lovely run on "Knots Landing," where I
played Donna Mills' adversary and Michael York's wife for several
episodes. I perform my cabaret act regularly at the Cinegrill in LA.
I will be there for a month of Monday's in November. One thing that I
am very proud of is my new recording for children, BROADWAY WITH A
BEAT. It's available in many stores nation-wide or through mail order
sales. It's out on my very own label, Shaker Dog Music. I've been
married for 6 1/2 years to a wonderful man, actor, Bruce French. We
have five dogs and 2 cats."
These days, most of Eileen's work is in the theater. Eileen starred
as Vi Moore in the national tour of FOOTLOOSE.She appeared as Lucille
in No, No, Nanette, Julie in SHOW BOAT, and Nancy in OLIVER. Eileen
performed the role of Fosca in MTG's West Coast premier of Stephen
Sondheim's PASSION, for which she won a Robby Award. She appeared in
RADIO GALS at the Pasadena Playhouse and won a Drama-Logue Award for
her role in that production as well as for her role in THE BEST
LITTLE WHOREHOUSE IN TEXAS. Other California appearances include
Billy Barnes' MOVIE STAR, QUEEN OF THE STARDUST BALLROOM, with Tyne
Daly and Judith Viorst's LOVE AND SHRIMP, which also played at The
Ballroom in New York with Bonnie Franklin and Mariette Hartley. She
starred in Amanda McBroom's HEARTBEATS, enjoyed a long run in Neil
Simon's RUMORS, opposite Bernie Kopel and was in the West Coast
premier of Stephen Sondheim's PUTTING IT TOGETHER. Eileen has
recorded her cabaret act on her CD, "Eileen Barnett, Live at The
Cinegrill." Her recording for children, "Broadway With A Beat," won a
NAPPA Award (National Parenting Publications Award). Along with
tenor, Michael DeVries and pianist/arranger, Brad Ellis, Eileen has
created "When Broadway Was Young," a program of romantic music from
the golden age of the operetta. She is a member of the Musical
Theater Guild and regularly performs in productions for them,

Dan Barton |

career:
"I played the infamous Earl Carnes, a loan-shark

hospital. I played it for a year. I received much fan mail and two
death threats. Prior to that assignment, I had done several hundred
T.V. appearances and - for the past twenty years - many, many
Voice-Overs. I'm the spokesman for Northrup and have hawked Coca-Cola
and everything (and everyone) from potatoes to political candidates.
Also, I've narrated countless number of documentaries. Plus Broadway
theatre. My wife, Anne Barton, was a prominent TV actress in the
50's-70's and was best known as Eddie Haskall's mother in "Leave It
