calls this
person Nickname How it
developed Steve Kayla Sweetness, Baby he used Baby when he first called her
on the phone, trying to scare her out of Cleveland (before
they had met). Sweetness was used later. Steve Stephanie Little Sweetness Derived from Sweetness used for

Vic Wally Kurth has huge dimples; Daddy
Dimples was used starting the first time Adrienne became
pregnant (miscarriage); Little Vic was used after he found
out that Justin was related to Victor Steve Jack Jackson, Junior, Billy Jack-Happy
Jack Jackson is an obvious derivation of
Jack, and Jr. refers to Steve thinking of Jack as Harper
Jr., since he was so much like his dad regarding politics
(before they discovered Jack was Billy). Billy Jack-Happy
Jack was used to remind Jack of his true heritage and I
believe referred to him being happy with Kayla. Steve Emma Brunhilda, Wicked Witch of the
West Steve thought of her as a witch, since
she kidnapped Andrew and paid him to torment

about everyone) Susan Elvis (her son) Sweet Pea One of those motherly names Susan Marlena Dr. Marlena Evans Susan thinks of Marlena as someone who
should be revered because she is a doctor and such a
wonderful person. She uses Marlena's full name to honor
her. Susan Stefano Mr. Stefano DiMera Much like her nickname for Marlena,
she uses this because she sees Stefano as extremely powerful
and she could never just call him Stefano. Susan Abe Colonel Carver A reference to Colonel Parker, the man
who "made" Elvis. This is just another way for Susan to make
a connection between those around her and the
King. Susan Sister Mary Moira Banks Sissy She's both Susan's sister and a sister
(nun) Susan Stefano, Kristen, Vivian and
Ivan Vampires Susan knows that the DiMeras are evil
and are capable of nearly anything, much like vampires.
Vivian and Ivan got the nickname because they assisted
Kristen in her schemes. Susan calls Stefano "The Head
Vampire," since he is in charge of all the schemes. Their
accents also lended themselves to this nickname. Thomas Susan Suzie Q A brotherly take on the

I decided not to add nicknames that are used by everyone, such as Belle for Isabella or D.J. for Don Craig Jr., only those used by one or a few characters. If you can add any nicknames to this page, please send me email at: beth@bethsdayspage.com I'm sure I've forgotten some nicknames of the past!

NOTE: I have included Nicknames that are shortened versions of people's full names when they are ones used by only a few people and not that character's usual name. This list doesn't include full names of characters that some family members choose to use. Often grandparents or parents are the only ones who call their children by their full names while everyone else uses a nickname. For example, Alice calls most of her grandchildren by their given names, Jennifer Rose, Michael, Abigail, etc.
