11/24/89--Kayla isn't sure she should believe Steve when he
tells her they don't have to worry about Marina anymore. He says
he talked to her and he meant business. He tells her he'd do
anything to keep her. Roman comes by and tells them Marina is
dead. She watches as Steve burns his marriage license and tells
her he didn't kill Marina; she was alive when he left her. She
says she needs time to think; she wanted Marina out of their lives
but not his way - She asks him to leave and he does
reluctantly.
11/27/89--montage--Steve and Kayla, Kim and Cal and Shane and
Rebecca
January 2, 1990--Kayla awakens in a strange place and finds
Grace, a registered nurse, who says she's been hired to take care
of her. She questions her about who hiredher and she says her
husband. She makes Grace describe him and she's surprised it's
Steve. She falls asleep calling for Steve while the song
plays.
