The Last Blast Dance 2001

(July 2001)

The Preparations

The Last Blast 2001 was coming up and these couples were going together: Philip and Chloe, Jan and Jason, Shawn and Belle, and Mimi.

Shawn finally asked Belle to the dance and Belle told Chloe first. Jan figured this out and told Mimi. Jan kept on making it sound like Chloe was taking her part as Belle's best friend. An angered Mimi confronted Belle, and they were in a fight.

Jan kept on persuading Mimi to go along with her plan to put pictures of Chloe in the shower on a website, and to project it at the Last Blast. Lots of people suspected that Mimi and Jan were up to something, and tried to figure out what. Mimi and Belle made up, and she made a truce with Chloe.

Chloe started talking about her summer plans, and that she couldn't attend the school trip to Puerto Rico, but wouldn't tell them why. This sort of made Philip feel insecure.

Jan kept on rubbing in Mimi's face that she couldn't go with Shawn and Belle and would be a third wheel like she was last year. Jan told her to go with her and Jason.

Brady went with Nicole as chaperones, on Victor's behalf. Other chaperones were John, Hope, Kate, and Roman.

The Last Blast

Shawn arrived at the penthouse to pick up Belle. He presented her with a corsage before they headed off to the dance.

Shawn and Belle arrived with Philip and Chloe. Jason was speeding there, with Jan and Mimi in the car. Then Brady and Nicole came.

Mimi seemed nervous the whole time and told Belle she'd never do anything to purposely hurt any of them.

Chloe and Philip and Belle and Shawn were dancing and Chloe saw Brady looking at them and felt sorry for him, while he kept on telling Nicole that Philip isn't the right one for Chloe. Nicole saw sparks between Brady and Chloe when they ran into Chloe and Philip.

The dance competition was up next. Three couples entered. Kevin and Susan were first. They did a great job, and next came Jan and Jason. The students applauded them just as well.

Last, but not least, came Shawn and Belle. They were the best. When they danced, they heard the music in their own way. It was slow and romantic. They got the biggest applaud of all. Jan and Jason couldn't believe it, and Susan and Kevin were clapping. Shawn happily accepted the trophy, but Belle said that they didn't deserve it because they weren't the best. She came and gave the award to Susan and said that they were the best. Everyone was shocked to see Belle give up the trophy to one of the most disliked girls at school.

Philip and Chloe didn't participate, since Chloe told Philip that she wanted to give another couple a chance since they won last year. Still, other students walked by them and commented that they would surely be the king and queen again this year.

Philip was having a great time until he saw Kate come in with a dress which looked like rags that she had bought at a thrift store. He felt embarrassed and begged her to leave, so she did.

During this time, John and Hope were continuously together talking about J.T. She wanted him to tell her about the night JT was conceived. He was very reluctant. Roman saw them together and kept on wondering what was going on.

Jan wanted Mimi to change the slides of Chloe that they planned to slip into the projector. Mimi went to change them, and Brady saw her. Once she was done, he ran up to check out the slides, and Kevin saw him. Brady didn't find anything, and then the slide show began. At first we saw pictures of the teens...Belle in her cheerleading outfit, Chloe playing softball, Jason, Belle and Mimi, and then a picture of Chloe's naked body appeared, but the face wasn't showing. On the slide, it said Operagirl.net.

Philip assumed the worst, and yelled at Chloe asking if this is how she was going to make her money this summer, and walked out on her. Chloe stood there crying while Shawn and Belle started shouting "who did this?". Kevin said it was him and pointed at Brady. Chloe went up to Brady and confronted him and told him he has no heart, he is rotten to the core and to tell grandpa Victor that his plan worked and Philip walked out on her. When John asked Brady if it's true he told him no and that he only went because he saw them, and pointed at Mimi and Jan, at the projector. Brady then told Belle that he didn't do it. John confronted Kevin about what he said, and Kevin said that he is sorry if he was wrong.

Mr. Woods gave the students a speech on how they are bringing violence and teasing people because they are different. He referred to Columbine and the many other cities where school shootings have taken place. All of those instances started with teasing, and people feeling different or unwanted.

Outside Chloe met up with Philip and he called her Ghoul Girl and other names. He told her that she is evil, cold, full of hate, and he is better off without her. Their relationship ended that night and they both mourned the end of the relationship. At the end of the dance on July 11, 2001, we saw a split screen of the two of them as they both said, "It's all over."

Jan came to the car with Mimi and showed him the $27,000 that they made by charging for the website. Mimi kept on saying how she feels awful, and annoyed Jan and Jason kick her out of the car.

Shawn and Belle leave and go to the Brady Pub, where they looked up Operagirl.net on Shawn's computer. Shawn mentions how maybe it was Chloe, but Belle says that it couldn't have been because of the look on Chloe's face. Shawn takes her outside, and as they are about to kiss, Mimi shows up and confesses everything. They call Philip and tell him and he feels horrible.

Meanwhile Chloe came home and told Nancy and Craig and went up to her room. Brady came to her window and told her that it wasn't him. She believes him.

Kevin and Susan heard Mimi talk to herself in the gym after the students left and they went and told Nancy and Craig.
