Restaurants, Bars and Clubs |
Antoine -- A classy romantic and luxurious restaurant, located at the riverfront. Laura and Dr. Roger Hunt were supposed to dine there, but they lost the reservation, so they went to the "Cheatin' Heart".
Barney's Burger Barn -- Mentioned in May 2000. Alice wanted to take Shawn Douglas there so they wouldn't intrude on Bo and Hope's romantic dinner.
Batch-O-Biscuits -- Julie called this restaurant and ordered a roasted rosemary chicken, mashed potatoes, eggplant parmigian and some other items for Bo and Hope's romantic dinner, May 2000.
The Beat Bar -- Owned and operated by Calliope. It opened in 1989 and was only open for about a year. Ethan Reilly, Calliope's boyfriend helped her out there. The main attraction was Norm dePlume, (Tom Horton) who read his poetry.
Beefcakes -- A male stripper club where Pete got a job, thanks to Speed. Pete only worked here to make money so he and Melissa could leave town. It was owned by Madame X who was later discovered to be Linda, Melissa's mother.
The Blue Cat -- A seedy nightclub where Steve Olson ran drug deals in the late 70's.
Blue Moon -- Owned by Peter and located in a warehouse. Shady dealings went on here, which is how Jude St. Clair became involved with Peter. Hope stripped at the Blue Moon while undercover.
Blue Note Club -- Sami sent Franco there in June 1998 to see if he would hit on a woman she hired to come on to him. Lucas was also there with his date. It seems to be the same place that was referred to previously as the "Piano Bar."

Facts: |
Bruce and Jack's -- An ice cream place, "across town." During her "pregnancy" Kristen sent John here to get her ice cream, because it was the only place with that "chocolate chip and cookie stuff."
Buddy's Burger Barn -- Although we never saw the place, we saw Vivian and Ivan's costumes when they got jobs here during the summer of 1997. Vivian was dressed as fries while Ivan was a burger. Ivan had to say, "Bigger Better Beefy Buddy Burger," while Vivian said "Free French fries" as she handed out discount coupons for fries. The Burger Barn is mentioned often when people talk about grabbing a quick meal. Apparently when Jenn was in Africa, she craved Buddy's food, especially the "double deluxe explosion" burgers (1/2 beef, 1/2 pork, cheeseburger with a mountain of fries).
Casey's Roadhouse -- A bar where Kimberly worked as a prostitute when she had multiple personalities. Billie also hung out there.
Chanterrel -- Adrienne mentioned this upscale restaurant in 1989. This was during the time after Blondie's closed but before Wings opened.
Cheatin' Heart -- A smoky beer and pool joint.
Additional facts:
--Chuck and Jimbo are bartenders. Emmy, April and Adrienne were
waitresses here.
--Basically a pool joint where people like Steve hang out. Steve used
to make his living here, as a pool player.
--The place is always smoky, it serves mainly beer and nuts, and has
a jukebox.
--The Cheatin' Heart was once known for its Chili.
--It's located on the north side of town on 2nd Street.
Chez
Rouge--A fine dining establishment that Mickey purchased for
Maggie. It was a gift to her on the day they renewed their wedding
vows, 7/18/05. They renewed their vows right in the dining room.
Mickey hired a 5 star chef from her favorite restaurant in Paris.
"Chez Rouge" is French for "Red's Place." Red, of course, is Mickey's
nickname for Maggie.
Chez Vous -- A fancy restaurant where couples often dine when they want privacy. It has a private dining room where couples can be alone. It is just around the corner from Salem Place.
Clancy's -- When Hope was pregnant in 2000, she craved a Lobster Roll from Clancy's right after she got back from Paris. Bo said it was on the way to the Brady Pub from the pier.
Club
Dune--this hot spot debuted in March 2006. It's a dimly lit club,
similar in look to the "Blue Note," but a dance club. It was here
where Carrie and Austin performed in the "handcuff dance"
Continental Hotel --The hotel had a restaurant and bar that Salemites frequented. We last saw the bar when Marlena came back to Salem in 1991 and invited Roman (John) to meet her there. The restaurant here was mainly for the wealthy.
Dizzie's Diner -- A 60's/70's style diner, with waitresses on skates. Mike and Carrie went there on the day they left for Israel in 99 for burgers, fries & chocolate shakes. It was a special place for them, as Mike said they used to go there quite a lot, and the waitress recognized them by name.
Earl's Donuts -- Hope made Bo stop there as they headed out on one of their bounty hunting missions...she told him they had to have donuts for a stakeout (June 2003).
Club Echelon -- Night club owned by Tony DiMera. Tony hid Vin ramsel right before he was picked up in Salem. This is also where Lucas started his run of employment in the Dimera Organization as the manager. Echelon is a gentlemen's club. Cassie tried to get a job here, but Tony strictly forbade it. Victor owned it first and that Tony won it in a pool game. The valet that used to park cars there helped Bo and Hope with the Vin Ramsel case and the first case they did as bounty hunters. His name is Jimmy.
The Embers -- An expensive restaurant where people usually went on dinner dates in the 60's. It had large curtains covering the walls. Tony Merritt and Laura Spencer had their first date here. This was also the site of David and Susan Martin's "wedding reception."
Evangellina -- A pasta place right across UH, Brandon offered Lexie during March 2000 to pick up pasta from here during one of their brakes
Grama B.'s Bakery-- a small bakery. Greta loves their little croissants, Eric brought her some in Feb. '00 when he came over to her new apartment (Nicole's old one).
Hudson Street Diner -- This is the diner where Fay Walker, Hattie Adams and Kate Roberts worked in 2000-2001. It's open 24 hours a day.
Irv's Deli -- The third place Kristen sent John, because they have great pickles.
JUMP!
-- A dance club co-owned by Pete Jannings and Tod Chandler. It
started as a place for teenagers to hang out, then Pete got a liquor
license and it became a bar also. It was connected to The Body
Connection. The club opened April 25, 1985.
K.CI's Pizza -- A pizza place next to Caroline and Shawn's house. Jamie went there to buy pizza during Dec. 1994. It was during the time Sami made it look like Alan attacked her again, so that Austin would rush over, as part of her plan to break Carrie and Austin up.
Lady Vi's Soul Food and More -- It is located somewhere near River St., supposedly in a bad part of town. First time it was shown was when Brandon met Larry Morris in Jan. 2000. It is famous for it's spare ribs. Doug ordered a big order of spare ribs from here for Bo and Hope's romantic evening in May 2000. Lexie seems to be an old acquaintance of Lady Vi herself.
Lou's Restaurant -- Another restaurant Kristen sent John to (the same night). It is a Chinese restaurant that doesn't deliver late. Kristen ordered Moo Goo Gai Pan.
Murten's -- A ritzy restaurant, much like The Penthouse Grill. It's where Bo and Hope went on the night of September 1st, 1986, when Shawn D. was conceived. The place burned down a few years after Hope's "death". (This restaurant was mentioned in 1994 when Hope's identity was still a mystery. I do not believe that the restaurant ever existed in 1986, but was made up for this flashback scenario.)
Park
Cafe -- A small little cafe across from University Hospital that
was around from 1984-88. John was a waiter there.
The Penthouse Grille -- A snazy restaurants
atop the Titan Publishing building.
Additional info:
--Owned by Victor Kiriakis --another elegant restaurant
--This is the restaurant everyone goes to for a fancy meal, although
it's not quite as formal as Chez Vous
--Many parties and receptions have taken place here.
The Piano Bar -- Although I'm not sure if this is the correct name of the place, it is how it was referred to by the characters. This is where Roman and Billie recently met up after Roman decided to back away from Marlena and Bo decided to go after Hope again. There was a person playing a piano the whole time they were there.
The Pines -- A cabaret bar located near Doug's Place from 1977-1978. It was the main competition for Doug's Place. Larry Atwood was the owner. Jeri Clayton sang here and Dominic was the manager.
Pu Pung Palace--a Chinese restaurant where Bonnie Lockhart ordered Chinese carryout in June 2004. Mrs. Chou took her order (although it was actually Julie on the line).
Riverfront
Diner --
The Salem Club -- A dance club in Salem.
The Sand Dollar -- Was located on the Salem Riverfront in Fisherman's Village. People dined here in the early 1990s. Jack and Jennifer's wedding reception was held here. The restaurant was still in this location in 1992, although no one had eaten here in a long time. Wolfgang was a waiter or maitre'd here.
Sea Shore Restaurant -- This restaurant is across from the Brady Pub. It is a white brick building with the sign on the side of the building. The sign says "Finest in Dining."
Sergio's -- Addie had bought this restaurant in 1974 in an
effort to strengthen her marriage to Doug. She renamed it Doug's
Place. Doug had been a singer at Sergio's. He continued to sing
at Doug's Place with Robert, while she played hostess. Following
Addie's death, he stopped singing there for a while, but later
remodeled the place and began singing again with Robert. Hope spent a
lot of time here as a young child. Doug's Place (now known as Doug's
Coffee House) was closed in 1980 because many friends who had sung
there, like Bill Horton and Robert LeClair, had left Salem. The place
held too many memories of happier times, and Doug simply remarked
that owning Doug's Place had "stopped being fun."
Shenanigans -- Was run by Chris Kositchek.
--Opened in 1982 with a big masquerade party.
--A simple burger joint, nothing elegant
--Trish Clayton first bought and set up the place
--Danny Grant worked for both Trish and Chris here
--Hope worked briefly as a waitress in 1984
--Pete worked as a busboy when he was on probation
--Joey was the bartender/waiter
--Chris' specialty was Peanut Butter Burgers
--Later bought by Alice and Maggie Horton (in the early 1990s), who
renamed it Alice's Restaurant.
--The restaurant was actually a charity to raise money for University
Hospital.
--Ginger Dawson was the main waitress here.
--The place hasn't been seen since 1992 or 1993, no one ever goes
here anymore, although presumably the building still exists
--Since Alice has lost the energy she had a few years ago and she
spends her time running the Horton Center, with Maggie's help, we
must assume that the restaurant has been permanently
closed.
The Snake Pit -- A club that seems to be a front for a drug operation. It is located below J.L. King's place of operation. It is a pretty disgusting place, where few Salemites will go.
Su Casa -- It's a catering business. Peter used it to set up a romantic dinner when he proposed to Jenn (March 1995) when Jack interrupted them.
Sweet
Bea's--a dessert place where Max used to go with Shawn and
Caroline when he first lived in Salem. They apparently have homemade
ice cream. The store is now run by Bea's daughter, Terri. Max went
and picked up some for the Deveraux dinner following the Salem 500
race. Jack voted for strawberry, Jenn for peach and Abby for
chocolate banana. (June 2005)
Torrelli's Pizza -- A pizza place Abe and Roman like. In Feb. 2000 Roman told Abe they should send out for pizza from here like they used to "in the old days".
The Tuscany -- Salem's newest upscale restaurant. Maggie
became the owner in late March 2000. Ron is the bartender. In 2001,
Dave, who was once the Wings and Blondie's Maitre'd, returned to be
the Maitre'd at Tuscany. There was an explosion at Tuscany in May
2001. It is 10 miles from University Hospital.
Twilight Bar -- Bought by Tony in 1981. The place had previously been owned by Stuart Whyland. Tony made Trish the manager and Danny Grant was hired as a bartender.
The Warehouse -- It was originally owned by Peter Blake back in 1994 to early 1995. It was a trendy bar/club where Abe and Roman went for a drug bust and Jonah got shot (but survived). Later used it for a crime fundraiser sponsored by the tv station where Jenn and Austin worked. Peter later closed it down to keep himself out of Stefano's dirty business and keep an honest relationship with Jennifer.
Weatherby -- Some sort of delicatessen. Bo bought pistachio ice-cream for Billie there when she had a craving in 1998 while pregnant.
Wings -- This restaurant was originally a casino/cabaret and
was owned by Doug, who opened it as Doug's Place on the Lake
after he lost Sergio's. After they lost Sergio's in 1980, Doug and
Julie bought a club near the lake. It had Late 19th Century decor,
and the employees' uniforms also reflected that era. Joshua Fallon
was the manager and also a dealer in the casino. Carol Welles was a
blackjack dealer, and Dave was a waiter in the bar. Trish Banning
sang here from time to time.
-- The house was originally the Chisholm Mansion. Doug bought and
refurbished it, and allowed the mansion's former owner, Flora
Chisholm, to live in an unused wing.
-- Doug, and later Julie and Hope, lived in the upstairs
bedrooms.
The casino aspect was dropped in 1981 and the club became just a
cabaret like the old Doug's Place. In 1983, it was remodeled into a
ski lodge with David's help. Doug received a liquor license in 1978
after he appealed to the Alcohol Control Board and never had to worry
about that again. He did have a brief problem getting the gambling
license for the casino but it was eventually resolved. It was rarely
used. There were several rooms above it that later disappeared. Neil
bought the restaurant from Doug in 1984, before Doug and Julie left
for Europe, and renamed it Blondie's, as a gift to Liz (whom
he called Blondie). Dave was the maitre'd at this time and Calliope
was the hostess/manager. Liz sang there on a regular basis and Marty
often entertained guests on the piano. Later it was bought by Nick
and renamed Wings because of Eve's favorite song, "The Wind
Beneath my Wings." Nick left the building to Julie when he died, but
the land belonged to Victor. She eventually bought the land from him
as well and continued to manage the restaurant until she left town in
the early 1990s. At that time, both Tanner and Molly worked
there--she was the hostess and he was a bartender, and Dave continued
as the maitre'd. Emilio and Melissa sang here at this time. This was
also when Austin was introduced as a piano player at Wings.
Other info:
--Fairly elegant restaurant.
--Salem's oldest restaurant.
--Robert sang at Blondie's and Wings.
--In June, 1990, Wings was nearly destroyed by a flood when the roof
collapsed.
--No one has gone to Wings to dine since early 1993, except for Doug
and Julie. In Jan. 1994, Doug took Julie there for a romantic
evening. The place was closed, with cloths over the furnishings.
There was a piano and a table that Doug uncovered. He sang "The Most
Beautiful Girl in the World" to Julie there.
--Wings is located at 10001 Lakeshore Drive, Salem, 06687.
Wong-Long/Wong-Low -- This Chinese restaurant is "on the corner" and has a difficult to pronounce name. Hope stumbled over it, so we can't be exactly sure what it's called. Doug and Julie ordered Lo Mein from here for Bo and Hope's special dinner. May 2000
The
Zodiac Room -- An elegant restaurant mentioned by Anjelica and
Jack in 1988. It was never seen on-screen.
Ballistix -- Located in Salem Place. It is a trendy clothing
shop where Carrie worked for a short time in 1992.
Benetton -- This store was shown in Salem Place in 1997. It's the only store we've ever seen in Salem Place that is a real store. Benetton was made famous in Europe, but is everywhere in the states now, selling women's clothing. In June 1996, benetton was seen when John was in The Gift Box buying an engagement ring for Kristen.
Bennett Antiques -- A Salem Place antique store. When Vivian was selling Jonesy's art effects in 1998, she sold an ugly statue to this store. Stefano saw it in the window and deduced Jonesy was stealing from him.
.COM -- (pronounced "dot com") a cyber cafe located in Salem
Place, first shown on December 20, 1999. The hours are 9 AM to 10 PM
Monday-Sunday. Each table features a computer. It's a big hangout for
Salem's teens.
Countess
Wilhelmina Cosmetics -- Although not exactly a store, it is a
Salem business that sells a product. At one time, Billie set up a
small booth at Salem Place to sell her cosmetics. Billie won the deed
to Countess Wilhelmina in a poker game. Countess Wilhelmina is now a
part of Titan Enterprises. Carrie, Lucas, Austin and Billie all work
for the company.
Crossroads Imports -- Although I'm not sure what this store sells, it was seen in the background of a Salem Place scene in 1993.
DejaVu Travel -- A travel agency in Salem Place. Stefano looked here for information on where Kristen might have gone when she left Salem in April 1998.
Espresso & Cappuccino -- A mobile cart in Salem Place. Before the Java cafe opened, this was where everyone always got their coffee and hot drinks. It was especially popular during Christmas time and the winter season, when everybody buys hot chocolate to get warmed up. It moved around, but mainly we saw it next to "Salem Hair Design".
Flaunt It -- A store in Salem Place that sells trendy clothing. It was never seen, but Sami wanted to shop here in 1994 for revealing clothes to get Alan Harris' attention.
Glamour Gallery -- A place often seen in the background at Salem Place. It seems to be a beauty salon.
The Gift Box -- A jewelry store in Salem Place. Bo and Hope bought their wedding rings here. This store was originally located next to the Sand Dollar, in Fisherman's Village. John bought Kristen's engagement ring here also.
Java Cafe -- This coffee shop seems to have replaced Johnny
Angel's at Salem Place. During the 1997 holiday shopping season,
shoppers stopped here for coffee, cappuccino and more. Nicole is a
waitress here. Just like Johnny Angel's, it has high tables and
stools that allow for spying on others in the mall.
Johnny Angel's -- This small fast-food shop is located in the
center of Salem Place. It opened for business on July 7, 1992. Johnny
Angel's used to be a front for the gambling ring that Austin and Tim
were involved in when Austin first arrived in Salem. Tim, who dated
Carrie briefly before her and Austin got serious, was a waiter there
and Austin's partner in the schemes. People knew to come to Johnny
Angel's and "place an order" with Tim if they wished to bet. Austin
was only doing all this to pay for Billie's rehab and when she
eventually came to Salem and had turned her life around, he closed up
the gambling ring and has led a good life ever since. Shoppers often
stop here for burgers and fries or a shake. It has high tables and
stools that allow patrons to see throughout the mall.
Kid's Korner -- A children's store in Salem Place that sells clothing and toys. Vivian and Ivan shopped here for Philip.
Lace & Hearts -- It's in Salem Place. Laura bought wedding-invitations for Jack and Jenn's wedding when she was planning it in 1998.
Salem
Bakery -- Shawn and Belle bought a cake her for JT's first
birthday when he was returned after his kidnapping
(6/14/01).
Salem's
Booksellers -- Shawn bought books here for JT when he was
returned after his kidnapping (6/14/01).
Salem Copy Center -- It's in Salem Place. When John stole "Hope's" session files with Marlena in Jan. 2000, he went there to copy them in order to have them back before Marlena noticed. It was closed so he went over to .COM.
Salem Hair Design -- Another store in Salem Place, located next to Ballistix. It is where most Salemites get there hair cut. Jennifer had her hair cut here after she started to chop at it in 1993.
Salem Mall Flowerist -- The flower shop from which Jack sent Jennifer flowers, to Tom's funeral. It's located in Salem Place.
Salem Music -- Hope went here looking for the name of the waltz that she keeps hearing when she thinks of Maison Blanche.
Salem Place Cinemas -- This is the movie theater located in Salem Place. It is right next to Ballistix. The place has held the Marx Brothers film festival (1993), a silent movie festival (Sami's favorite), a foreign film festival (Kristen's favorite, 1994), and was the site of John and Marlena's recreated "first date."
Salem Place Toys -- Lucas shopped here for Will in August 1998.
Salem Video -- This is the video store where Eric went to find a movie for Greta and ended up finding Nicole's porn movie, "Locker Room Lolita".
Ski shop -- While we don't know its name, we learned there was a ski shop in Salem Place in Feb. '94
|

Aidan Motors -- This car dealership is where Mike bought his 1959 red Corvette convertible in May 1997. It is also the dealership that donated a sports utility vehicle for the New Year's Eve Epilepsy Benefit.
Anten's Jewelry -- Maurice is the man in charge of the shop. He is also the head jeweler. He was Tony's personal jeweler.
Barron's Department Store -- Salem's big department store.
Billie and Bo were once trapped in its basement together. Their
shopping bags are pink with just the word Barron's written on them.
In 1994, the general manager's name was Eliot Bartlett. He's the one
that helped Tony bring John and Kristen to the basement together,
where Tony spied on them via a hidden camera. In December 1993, the
owner's name of Barron's Department Store was Stan Barron, and the
watch-dog there was called Duke.
Bartlett's Department Store -- Another large department store in Salem. Julie stole a fur piece from the place when she was a teenager. No one has shopped here in at least 20 years.

Incognito -- This was where Belle, Mimi, Chloe, were shopping in 2000. Chloe and Belle made the comment of drinking chicken's blood and made Mimi sick. Mimi obviously told Jan and Jason about this because that's where they got the idea to put a headless chicken on Chloe's doorstep. The store has also been mentioned by Philip, Jan, and Jason pre the Last Blast.
Jordan Jewelers -- A classy jewelry shop. Its decor is antique furniture and deep green wallpaper. Kristen and Jennifer visited the store during Sep. 1994. There, they heard Tanya Hampsted (a woman John dated soon after he found out he was a priest) saying she was planning on marrying John and shipping Brady off to boarding school. She was at the shop to look for engagement rings.
Mirabelle's -- A hair salon on Overland. It's where Diana got her hair done. Roman had the people from the salon come to the Spectator to do her hair and makeup in preparation for their symbolic wedding in 1989.
The
Mother's Shop -- When Hope had her amnio in April 2000, Alice
came to visit her at the hospital and brought her maternity clothes
from this shop.
Pretty

is named after Victor's late daughter, Isabella. It was created in
1992. Titan Publishing is located at 14 Salem Circle, Salem, USA,

International
News Daily --
The Intruder -- A common
supermarket rag that capitalizes on scandalous news. In
1994, its star reporter was Fisher Andrews, who covered
Billie Reed's trial, and made fun of "Kiriakis' Folly", a
crude reference to Victor's marriage to Kate. Also, The
Intruder made Sami Brady look like a liar as a result of her
pressing rape charges against Alan Harris. In 1995, The
Intruder ran the headline "Sami Brady Bobbittizes Alan
Harris" after she shot him in the groin. In 1997, Sami took
the photos of Kate as a prostitute to Bennett Price, a
reporter at the Intruder. In 2002, it was the Intruder that
Lexie contacted in order to leak information about the baby
switch. It was then the cover story in April
2002.

The Salem Chronicle -- A newspaper with a traditional format. A rival of the Spectator. The address is: 3113 Catalina Ave., Salem, 06694. It's been around since at least 1963. It was this newspaper that broke the news about Lucas being accused of child abuse in 1998. In 1987, Ms. Marley was the editor of the "Lifestyles" section, which was the society portion of the newspaper. In 1987, Mark Burns was a reporter here. He interviewed Steve and Kayla after their ordeal involving the lab explosion. In 1999, J.P. was a chronicle reporter who asked Carrie for her story regarding Mike and the COS.

Salem
Style magazine--Mickey and Maggie's house was once photographed
for the magazine

The Salem Tribune -- This is another traditional newspaper. It has not been in Salem as long as the Chronicle. Sami threatened to send the pics she has of Kate to the Tribune. Megan Hathaway's death was reported in the Tribune in 1985. It's been around since at least 1968.
The Salem Spectator -- Newspaper originally
owned by Phillip Colville. He had stopped publishing the paper many
years before his daughter, Diana began to publish it again in 1988.
She ran the Spectator for a while and then Jack bought 51% of the
paper and began to run it in late 1988. Vern worked at the paper when
Jack took it over. It was during this time that Jennifer began to
work at the Spectator as an intern (and their relationship began).
Eve later got control of it through her's and Jack's marriage.
Jennifer bought it back from Eve using her trust fund money. In 1992,
Jack sold the paper to Julie to give Jennifer financial security when
he believed he was dying. He later bought it back with money that was
Billie's. Victor bought it in 1993 and fired Jack. The Spectator
remains a part of Titan Publishing. It is printed in a tabloid
format. In 1989, Jack said that the Spectator was "25 cents at your
local newsstand."

Health Care Facilities and Sanitariums |
Albright Nursing Home -- This is the nursing home where Jill Stevens stayed after she left the hospital (1996-97). The patients seemed to be young, not the typical old people that you see in a normal nursing home. It's sign said that it was established in 1923.
Bayview (Bayview Towers Sanitarium) -- This is where Isabella was wrongly held when she first was shown in Salem. Her father had locked her up basically because he didn't like her. She was not at all insane. Mickey was the first Salemite in residence at Bayview. It was here that we were introduced to Marlena for the first time. This was also where Samantha Evans had Marlena committed in 1977 after became addicted to drugs and began to steal from Marlena. Sam impersonated her sister and had her committed. Lee Dumonde was committed to Bayview Sanitarium. Gillian also went to Bayview, after she was arrested for killing Emma and framing Kim.
Brooktree Mental Hospital -- This hospital, like many other bedlams, is located outside of Salem. Laura was set to go here in October of 1994, after she'd become irrational as a result of Peter and Daniel's machinations. Vivian and Ivan pretended to be Brooktree orderlies to keep Laura from being committed; they even stole the Brooktree ambulance!
County Hospital -- When Marlena was put in hospital (after she shot the cop during the possession storyline), Pat Hamilton wanted her removed to CH, since it has a prison section, for dangerous criminals.
East
Side Lab -- This is the lab that was doing the DNA test on Isaac
and Glen's DNA in early 2001, but Stefano had it bombed in May 2001
to cover up the results.
Emergency
Center -- Located on the Salem riverfront, this clinic served the
poorer people in Salem. Kayla worked here as a nurse for many years.
Adrienne later worked as a clerk here. The original Emergency Center
burned down, but a Salem Riverfront Community Center was built in its
place. It was affiliated with Salem University.

Hillcrest Sanitarium -- This is where Samantha Evans was finally committed after it was revealed that she had impersonated Marlena.
Lakewood Sanitarium -- This was originally the hospital near Chicago where Laura Horton was a patient in 1980. Bill Horton took a position here as Medical Director to be close to Laura.
The David Martin Clinic -- A clinic founded by Susan Martin with the inheritance money she received from David after he died. Though it began as a regular clinic, it later became a place for unwed mothers and orphaned children. Sister Marie worked here for a while. It was here where Marlena met her foster son, Johnny.
The Meadows -- This facility is a cross between a sanitarium and a group therapy resort. Laura went here after she left the sanitarium, just to get a break from things. Jack also went to The Meadows, in an effort to clear up his feelings for Jennifer. Laura and Jack met here and had an affair, knowing each other as Monica and Clark. It is located just outside of Salem. The phone number is 555-4920.
Mercy Hospital -- Mike got Ali a job offer at this hospital, in an effort to get her away from University Hospital.
unknown Pharmacy--there's a pharmacy on Water Street in Salem, which isn't in the best neighborhood. We don't know its exact name.
Pine Haven Mental Hospital -- This is where Laura was locked up for 18 years. She originally was committed to Lakewood Sanitarium in 1979 after she sent Jennifer on a bus alone. When she reappeared in 1993, she was at Pine Haven, outside of Chicago. It was discovered that the Pine Haven officials (Anne Goldberg and Nurse Jackson) were giving her drugs to keep her "out of it" and to steal money from the families of patients. Once she got off the drugs, she was basically ok. Vivian was also put here after she buried Carly alive. Ivan got a job as an orderly here to be with Vivian during the ordeal. The place burned down in early 1994 during Vivian's lobotomy. Laura, Vivian and Ivan escaped the fire (but were presumed dead), while Anne and Nurse Jackson perished.
The Right Connection -- In 1983, Chris Kositchek allowed the facilities of the Body Connection to be used a teen crisis center. The Right Connection was run by Marlena Evans, with Sandy Horton as her assistant. Hope and Melissa frequented the place. It was shut down after the Vipers trashed it and someone nearly raped Sandy.

to have kids with Tony just yet. In late 1994, Dr. Bader was Vivian's
doctor as well, when she she was pregnant with Phillip. The woman
doctor popped up again when Billie was pregnant in 1998.
