This classic pic was taken not long after the birth of Eric and Sami. Ronit, Rory, and Wayne were off the show not long after this pic was taken. Ronit and Rory were not real-life twins, unlike many of the children who played the roles after them. Two sets of twins held the roles in the mid 1980s, until they were replaced by Ashleigh Sterling and Bradley Hallock. Andrea Barber was later replaced by the current Carrie, Christie Clark. Andrea later went on to star in Full House.

Does anyone remember the young Eric and Sami? Bradley and Ashleigh played the twins longer than any other actors. Bradley and Ashleigh joined Days in 1986. Ashleigh left in 1990 when she won a role on the TV show "The Family Man." Christina Wagoner replaced her. Bradley continued on Days until 1992 when Eric and Sami left town for Colorado. This picture was taken at Shane and Kim's wedding in May 1987, where they served as the ringbearer and flower girl, respectively.

In Roman Brady's household there was a tradition of "Tag Team Old Maid." This picture, from 1991, was taken just before Roman and Eric turned over their card, the Old Maid. Their opponents were Isabella and Sami. Bradley Hallock is Eric in this picture, the child who played the character the longest and was the last one seen before Jensen Ackles assumed the role.

Christina Wagoner and Staci Greason

Roman and Eric's "Tag Team Old Maid" opponents, Sami and Isabella. They were the winners of the game, which meant that they had to buy ice cream for everyone. Christina was the last child to play Sami before Alison Sweeney took over the role in early 1993. Christina had taken over the role from Ashleigh Blair Sterling, who was Sami opposite Bradley Hallock's Eric.

This picture is from one of my favorite scenes following Marlena's return to Salem in 1991. Sami and Eric first met their mom on Roman's birthday, August 26. Marlena said she had imagined what it would be like to get a hug from her beautiful daughter, and Sami gave her one. Eric, still a little unsure of the situation, remained in Roman's lap. Too bad Sami's bond to her mother doesn't remain today.
