One rainy night, Anna DiMera threw herself an engagement party to Prince Nicholas - and he told everyone they would be married soon. He went to answer a phone call.

Bo and Hope had just returned from New Orleans because they tried to elope. They went to Blondie's where Alex's rip-off fashion show of Anna DiMera Designs was being held.

Hope was alone at the front desk with Prince Nicholas (he came in the picture when Anna ran out of the Ice Show and forgot her fur coat in the auditorium and offered her his) and a man whose face you didn't see. The man stuck Prince Nicholas in the neck with a poisonous ring with a needle and he died. Hope saw and ran after the man but couldn't catch him. The Dragon knew Hope recognized him now.

When Hope went back to Blondie's the police were there taking away the body and Anna was hysterical.

Hope told Abe, Shane, Kimberly, and Bo what happened. They decided to go to Kimberly's apartment and she developed the pictures she'd taken, but she didn't get any clear pictures of the killer. The morning after Prince Nicholas was killed, Kim went to get her photos that were in color from night before, but when she got there a K. Brady had already signed for them.

Later that evening at Tony's penthouse Tony and Bo were trying find out if Tony was in danger because of his title Count and Kim and Shane were at her apartment with a bunch of records trying to find out who was going to be the next victim. At Kim's apartment she and Shane making a family tree of the Royal Family and then Shane says he knows who the next victim is going to be and leaves.

Abe sent a police artist so they could get a description of the Dragon, but the artist just couldn't get it right. Later Abe came over and told them that forensics found the mark of a Dragon on Prince Nicholas's neck and Shane got very quiet. A couple days later Shane and Kimberly went to the airport to get the file on the Dragon that was being sent to Shane from ISA headquarters. While there Shane tried to go after a woman he thought was Emma but Kim stopped him and said that it couldn't be her because she's dead. Kim said he must accept that fact and move on with his life. Right after that he asked Kim to go to England with him.

Upon hearing of Nicholas' death, Tony went to Anna and comforted her. Janey Richards saw a man and thought he was The Dragon.

Bo,Hope,Shane and Kimberly went to ENGLAND to try and catch THE DRAGON. The Dragon tried to run Kimberly down with a car and Shane saved her. The Dragon was going to try to kill Lady Johanna, and Hope was kidnapped and chained up in a dungeon and came face to face with Emma, Shane's long dead wife. The Dragon killed a Guard, and then he plotted to kill his longtime nemesis Shane. The Dragon hypnotized Emma into killing Shane which Bo saved Hope, and together they saved Shane. Hope and Bo spent a night in jail after stealing a milk truck. Bo and Hope were married in May 1985. Bo,Hope,Kim, and Shane returned to Salem.

Shane left Kimberly's apartment and went to see Nickerson's office. Shane told him about Prince Nicholas's death and asked him why the Dragon was resurfacing after all of these years and why everyone he cares about is in danger again just like Emma. Nickerson told Shane that that he was never the target that it was Emma all along and that Emma was only the first victim in a series of murders of people in line for the British Throne by the Dragon even though Emma was distantly related to the Royal family. The next day Shane told Kimberly that Emma didn't die because of him and that she died because she was distantly related to the royal family.

Meanwhile Bo Hope were at Shenanigans having breakfast and Bo ran into Don and Sonia. Sonia apologized for what happened with the third prism and she was being forced to do that and introduced herself with her real name (it was unique and exotic and Don stated that she was a direct descendant of some Prince). At Don's apartment you see the Dragon sneak into the apartment and then he runs up the stairs when Don and Sonia come into the apartment. Later Don goes to mail a letter and Sonia is left alone. The Dragon runs down the stairs and sneaks up behind Sonia but she sees his shadow and elbows him and goes to open the door. The Dragon sticks her in the neck with his poisonous needle sticking out of his ring and she dies and he leaves. Meanwhile at Tony's house, Bo remembers hearing Don say Sonia's last name and then he runs out of the penthouse. Five minutes later Bo and Shane turn up and Bo checks for a pulse and then notice he notices the mark on her neck

Finally, there was a showdown between the Dragon and Shane. It was at an apartment, probably the Dragon's hideout, and the Dragon's face is revealed and he brandishes a knife to attack Shane with. They struggle briefly and somehow the Dragon goes through a window and plunges to his death onto the ground below. In aftermath Bo arrives at the scene and Shane shows him the ring the Dragon used to kill Anna's friend.
