Summary: Tony is arrested as the Salem Serial Killer…Many feel safer, but not all (Marlena and Celeste among them)…Kate and Roman proceed with their wedding plans…Chloe catches Brady and Nicole in a compromising position…Sami plots and schemes as usual. Interesting that Peggy McCay (Caroline) and Alexis Thorpe's (Cassie) names appear in the credits again.
At the Kiriakis Mansion…
Chloe walks in on Brady and Nicole as Brady tries to explain, but
Nicole informs her that it was Brady that came between her and
Victor. Chloe storms off as Brady rails at Nicole. But she says she
KNOWS he wants her. Victor comes in and urges Brady to go after
Chloe. Nicole goes to leave, but Victor grabs her by the arm, telling
her that everything is about to blow up in her face. Brady chases
after Chloe trying to explain but she is furious, telling him she is
going back to Milan and storms out the front door. Brady (clad only
in his pj bottoms) follows her out into the snow, pleading with her.
He tries to explain that he was set up and vows that he loves her. He
tells her that Nicole has been throwing herself at him and is just
using him got get back at Victor. He swears that he has never been
unfaithful to her and that she is the one he loves…the only one.
Inside, Victor berates Nicole, but she is sure that her plan worked.
Brady and Chloe come inside and without one word, Chloe decks her,
almost knocking Nicole off her feet, calling her Phaedra. Victor
congratulates Chloe, explaining that Phaedra was a slut who chased
after her Greek husband's son. Victor tells Chloe that he is proud of
her and that she is a true diva in more ways than one. Chloe forgives
Brady as they kiss in front of Nicole and he puts the pearls back on
her. Victor tells Nicole that in the opera, Phaedra hangs herself
after being rejected…just let him know if she needs any rope
(ROFL!) Nicole stews in her juices as she watches them kiss.
Celeste…
is still wandering around Salem Place. She stares at the window
display and sees blood pouring out of the bridal bouquet. Bonnie
comes rushing out of the store waving a black teddy she just bought
for 75% off. Celeste collapses in her arms as Bonnie helps her over
to a bench to sit. Celeste starts telling her about her premonition,
but Bonnie does NOT want to hear it. But Celeste forges ahead,
telling Bonnie something bad will happen and that it is all starting
again…but Bonnie urges her to think positive, asking if she
never has any GOOD premonitions. But Celeste is all worked up, saying
she cannot control them. Celeste thinks that Caroline may have been
right and she can help stop it all. She looks at Bonnie and tells her
that she sees blood all over her…and she is at Tuscany. But
Bonnie says that Tuscany has not been open since Maggie died. She
freaks out and runs off, saying you couldn't pay her to go to that
place. After she leaves, Celeste says "the killer isn't
finished."
In the Park…
Kate asks Marlena to be her Matron of Honor and Marlena flatly turns
her down, saying that Kate is a suspect and Roman has a death threat
on him. Kate asks Marlena if she believes she is the killer in light
of the new evidence. Marlena says it isn't for her to say and asks
why rush the wedding? Kate explains that it is Roman's idea and asks
her if she has a problem with her marrying Roman. But Marlena says it
is to dangerous. Kate tells her that Roman refuses to run or hide.
She asks Marlena if she fears for Roman's safety…or can't stand
losing him to another woman?
Elsewhere, Shawn pulls Rex off of Tony after he decks him. Rex demands his PDA and checks it, saying all the evidence they need is right there. Somewhere else, John and Roman are still talking about how Marlena is worried about Roman's safety. Roman assures him that he will be safe at the wedding. Roman assures him that he really loves Kate and wants to marry her immediately. Shawn rushes up (as Marlena also walks up) telling them that they caught the killer. They all rush off to where Rex and Tony are and Rex shows them the PDA. Roman tells him "good work, son" . Tony points out how quickly Rex changed from one father to another and says he must be a true Brady after all. Roman thanks Rex as he cuffs Tony and reads him his rights. A sullen Tony stares straight ahead.
At Basic Black…
Sami plots, schemes and daydreams…as usual. She sneaks into
Kate's office and sees her dress there. She takes the scissors saying
that there "is no way that bitch is going to marry my dad". She says
that the only "good Kate is a dead Kate" and proceeds to rip the
dress to shreds. Kate walks in, calling her "Sami Scissorhands",
saying she expected as much from her. She tells her to look at the
note in the pocket. Sami takes it out and reads it, the dress was for
Sami as a peace offering. LOL. Sami is furious with her, saying she
set her up. She storms out of the office as a lady arrives to do
Kate's hair. Later, Sami sneaks into the room (in a dark wig and
speaking with an accent) to trim Kate's hair. She ends up shaving her
head and Kate looks into the mirror and screams. She chases Sami
around the office as Sami chuckles, calling her a human bowling ball.
Yes, it is a fantasy…as Belle and Shawn walk up asking her what
is so funny. Kate comes out with the hair dresser as Belle and Shawn
asks what they can do to help out. She gives them a handful of
invitations yet to be delivered and the oblidge. (Where is Philip
during all this???) Sami says they should call off the wedding, but
Shawn tells them that the killer, Tony, has been caught. Kate rushes
off to head to the station, but Sami says it isn't over yet. Belle
asks her what she is up to, but Sami claims innocence and rushes off.
Later, Sami is looking at an invitation, saying she will stop the
wedding…even if she has to kill to do it.
Back In the Park…
Bonnie is on a bench spiking her coffee after her encounter with
Celeste. Mickey comes by with a favor to ask. She is more than happy
to oblige, thanking him for his Christmas gift (an engraved jewelry
box). He wants her help with the reception party. She is
thrilled…then finds out he is opening Tuscany to have it there.
She gulps, saying it will be a bloodbath. Shawn and Belle walk up as
they explain that Tony was arrested. A furious Mickey heads to the
police station, with Bonnie hot on his heels, promising to look out
for him.
Celeste pulls out her invitation (Shawn and Belle gave it to her off-camera) and it has blood all over it and she looks away. But when she looks back, it is normal. Bonnie rushes by and tells her that they caught the killer, but Celeste is sure it isn't over yet.
Mimi is with Rex still in the park, trying to console him. He says he doesn't know who to trust anymore. Shawn and Belle talk and he feels bad for being so rough on Rex all along. He is glad they caught the killer, but Belle says the killer is smart…what if the evidence were planted to protect himself. They go over and hand him an invitation to the wedding as Mimi urges Rex to go to his parents' wedding.
At the Cop Shop
Roman, John, Marlena all arrive at the police station with Tony in
hand cuffs. John lays out Tony's reasoning for the killings. Tony
doesn't speak until they all finish and he says that the murders are
NOT over just because he is in jail. Roman tells him they need a
blood sample, but Tony is not cooperative, telling them to call his
lawyer. Tony asks Marlena what she thinks about the predictions of
John killing her, but she doesn't answer. Roman vows to do whatever
he needs to put him away. John tries to ease Marlena's mind, but she
still thinks they need to postpone the wedding. Mickey storms in and
attacks Tony as Roman and Bonnie have to pull him off. As Mickey
cools off, Roman vows to make Tony pay. Bonnie assures Mickey that
the danger is over and promises to help him with the reception at
Tuscany. Kate arrives and hugs Roman, thankful he is safe. Roman is
sure that Tony is the killer. He tells Kate it was Rex who solved it
and they think that there may now be hope to form a relationship with
him. John and Marlena walk in to see Kate and Roman kissing as she
just stares at them. Kate tells Roman about Marlena turning her down
as her Matron of Honor and that she thinks that Marlena still loves
him. John tries to convince Marlena that Roman is safe now, but she
still doesn't want the wedding to take place and she leaves to get
ready. After he is booked, Roman tells them to lock him up. Tony
swears he is innocent and for Roman to watch his back. Roman promises
Kate that he will keep all the security in place for the wedding and
that ONLY those with numbered invitations will be let in. As he
talks, we see a desk with the hockey mask…black clothes…an
invitation and a knife lying there. Roman assures Kate that this will
be the happiest day of their lives as they hug…and the previews
roll…
On the next DAYS OF OUR LIVES…
Nicole asks Brady (in front of Chloe and Victor) "The whole time you were doing it with her…were you thinking of me?"…
John (to Marlena): "Who do you love Doc…Roman or me?"…
Shawn and Rex call a truce and shake hands as Mimi says "NOW, I believe in miracles"…
Roman holds Bo back as he yells "That monster killed Ma…and now I am going to kill him…LET ME GO!" as it freezes on Tony's face…
And the credits roll…

Summary: Roman and Kate's wedding goes off as planned, but the reception gets a little bloody, Tony gets out on bail after a couple angry visitors stop by and Nicole makes a bigger fool of herself.
KIRIAKIS MANSION
Chloe and Brady return from her tour of the new recording studio
before having to leave for the wedding. Nicole, donned in red robe
and drunk, rudely joins them asking if they had a quickie down at the
studio and was Brady thinking of her at the time. Chloe and Brady
leave to change for the wedding and Nicole asks Victor what he's
getting his ex-wife for the wedding. He tells her Nicole's not being
present. She's surprised and he warns her not to come, or she'll
regret it.
COP SHOP
Hope, dressed for the wedding, is surprised to find Roman still at
the station. He informs her the brass wants the paperwork on Tony by
morning. She asks where Bo is as he came to help him a couple hours
ago and both realize he must be with Tony. In the cells, Bo (in his
tux) asks the guard to take a break. Removing his tux jacket, he
tells Tony they're going to settle this now. Roman pulls Bo off Tony
just in the nick of time. Bo, Roman and Hope go to leave as Tony
again warns Roman to keep an eye out as he's innocent.
Later, Lexie rushes over from Tuscany after learning Tony was arrested (see below) and calls Tony a bastard, asking how he could do it? He took the love of her life away from her. He tells her he didn't do it and she calls him a liar and says he's just like father when he lied about switching her baby at the hospital. Tony tells Lexie she's all he's got and would never hurt her (yeah, remember those talks with Stefano about Abe's last day?)
TUSCANY
Bonnie is giving orders to poor Dave, the maitre'd, to keep the chips
and salsa going being this is a first class event. He tells her
they've always had northern Italian cuisine at Tuscany, but she says
that'll change. Mickey arrives and recognizes Maggie's dress on
Bonnie. Mickey asks Bonnie about the dress and she explains not
having time to take it to the charity yet and borrowed it for the
evening. She offers to go change, but he tells her to keep it and
enjoy it. She thanks him and kisses him on the cheek.
Guests have started to arrive, mostly the younger set, Carvers and Celeste as Tony seems to be the main discussion topic. Jennifer and Abby arrive and Abby gets to tell Celeste and Lexie about the new baby. Abby takes Theo for a walk and Lexie offers Jen all of Theo's baby clothes. Jen offers her sympathies to Lexie and Celeste tells her that Lexie doesn't know yet. Jen apologizes and tells her about Tony's arrest and about the evidence found on his PDA. Lexie rushes out to see Tony (see above).
Lucas and Kate arrive and Kate dashes off to Maggie's office to change into her gown. Lucas stalls Sami off when she arrives. John and Marlena arrive (she's wearing a long dark pink dress which is refreshing after all the dark gowns lately). John asks Marlena who she loves, Roman or him! She tells John she was just worried about Roman, but he's safe now. John is the man she loves and he is her heart. She starts crying and leaves to freshen up. She joins Bonnie and Kate in Maggie's office. Bonnie tells Marlena she's pretty enough to be the bride herself and dashes out. Kate tells Marlena to save her breath, she's not going to talk her out of marrying Roman. Marlena apologizes for earlier and Kate knows that Marlena use to be in love with Roman and understands. Marlena says she will always love Roman, but her heart belongs to John. She tells Kate she'd be proud to be her matron of honor if the offer is still open and Kate hugs her saying she'd love it and so would Roman.
Chloe, Brady and Victor arrive as Belle rushes to hug her newly returned friend. Nicole arrives seconds afterward, dressed in red. The guard stops her, but Mickey tells him it's okay, she can come in. The drunken Nicole grabs two glasses of wine off Dave's tray.
Sami rushes up to Roman saying she wished he hadn't showed up and threatens to kill herself if he marries Kate. He calmly tells his daughter he loves her and he's in love with Kate. She threatens to be out of his life forever if he goes through with this, but he grabs her into a hug and tells her no, she won't. He loves her and always will. After the honeymoon he wants their family to bond and their mutual love of their grandson will do it. Sami won't give up and tells him she hates him as he chose that whore over his own flesh and blood. Roman shakes his head in disbelief as Sami dashes off.
Shawn explains to Rex that Tony went crazy and that Stefano's legacy of his hatred for the Brady family ran to Tony. Rex fears he's next, but Shawn reminds him that he's a Brady thankfully. Shawn apologizes to Rex for what he's going through right now and asks for a truce. He offers his hand in friendship and they shake. Mimi now believes in miracles and Belle's relieved it's over.
Victor walks into the office to hear Kate looking in the mirror and telling herself it may be her last chance for happiness and not to blow it. He tells her she won't and Roman's probably the first good man in her life and to be happy. He kisses her on the cheek and leaves (aww, how sweet). Marlena tells John she talked to Kate and is going to be matron of honor after all. Pop Shawn wishes Caroline was there to finally see Roman married and happy again. Bo tells her he knows Ma's watching. Lexie rushes back in and sits by Celeste.
Nicole totters up to Brady asking to sit on his lap during the wedding. Victor joins them and she tells him she doesn't want to sit on his lap as his spring is..when Brady grabs her and pulls her outside, saying she's embarrassed his grandfather for the last time.
Roman and Marlena stand at the altar as Kate walks herself down the aisle to a country western instrumental of Here Comes the Bride. She looks beautiful in her ivory gown that's shoulderless but loose, billowing folds in the sleeves. Saying he knows they want a brief ceremony, the official starts the vows and when he gets to the part asking if anyone has any objections, Lucas stuffs a napkin into Sami's mouth and he and Shawn carry Sami in her chair out the front door, LOL. Everyone chuckles a little, including Roman, and tells the official everything's okay. Outside Sami squeals and gets away as she rushes off. Lucas and Shawn rush to the other door in and block it just in time. Kate and Roman smile and nod to the two. Brady and Nicole talk outside as she tells him she wants him as he's the only one who understands her. She leans in for a kiss as Chloe watches from inside. Brady doesn't fight her off. After the ceremony Chloe rushes outside and pulls Nicole off of Brady, saying he's too much of a gentlemen, but she's not too much of a lady and shoves Nicole into the snow as she and Brady return to the wedding. Lexie asks if Celeste had any more premonitions since Tony's arrest and she tells her no.
Back at the cop shop, Tony's lawyer arrived. He called in favors Tony had coming (and some he hadn't) and is free on bail now. He gives Tony the suit of clothes he was asked to bring, asking if he's going to a wedding. Tony tells him no, a funeral.
Roman puts the ring on Kate's finger saying it's a circle that never ends, just like his love. She puts his ring on, hoping he'll remember this moment always as she gives him her ring and her heart. She starts to cry, not being able to remember all the promises she wants to make to him. She promises to love him always, all the days of their lives. They're pronounced husband and wife and kiss. Sami cries, watching from outside. Lucas congratulates the newlyweds and apologizes to Roman for the commotion earlier. Roman thanks him for handling it so efficiently. Outside Sami vows to break Roman and Kate up and hopes Kate will be the next victim and out of their lives. Bonnie pushes the huges three tiered wedding cake into the room (wow, the Tuscany chefs have been busy!) as guests surround the bride and groom to cut the cake. Celeste has a vision of Kate in her wedding gown as she stands up with blood on her hands and screams. Kate asks for no messy feeding of the cake. They cut the cake together and blood starts streaming out of the cake (ewww). Lexie turns to Celeste who's crying, saying it's not over....as we see the hockey mask morph over the bleeding cake...
as previews for the next DOOL roll....
Shawn tells Belle that 2004 will the year they get together..she asks if he means they'll ...as he kisses her and she can't finish what she was going to say...
Kate and Roman are with Sami and she tells Sami she's evil and she could kill her for this (the cake?) as Roman says Kate and pulls her away as Kate goes for Sami's neck...
Marlena suggests they wait until tomorrow to tell Roman something (probably that Tony's out on bail), but Bo said absolutely not, his brother needs to know...
as we see Tony in his private room in his cellar holding a sword and smoke in the room..some kind of ritual it looks like...
as the credits roll...

The wedding festivities continue, as word of Tony posting bond is spread around, while Roman gets an offer to prove a case and Alice comes to the rescue of the ruined wedding cake.
FIRST A REPLAY of Nicole sprawled outside in the snow, bemoaning her fate, cursing Victor & Chloe and promising herself she WILL get Brady into her bed. Then we see Tony's lawyer springing him, holding the change of clothes Tony requested, wherein he said he was going to a funeral. Then back to the wedding, with the cake being wheeled out, Roman & Kate cutting the first piece, kissing, then seeing the blood spurt out of the cake. Sami, who is outside, shivering and talking to herself about her dad marrying that whore, is brought in by a cop. Kate yells at her, accusing her of sabotaging the cake, and goes after Sami, hands on her throat. She is pulled off. Celeste has visions of Kate with bloody hands, screaming, but also of Bonnie screaming.
OVER AT DIMANSION, Tony is talking to himself of staying centered & focused, and getting to work on his New Year's resolution &endash; to destroy the Bradys, once and for all. He opens a cabinet, taking out a huge sword.
BACK AT TUSCANY, Bo, Hope & John are checking the
outside perimeter. Bo takes Shawn and returns to the station, where
he learns that Tony has posted bond, and is gone. He calls John to
tell him. Inside, Lucas is reassuring Kate, as does Roman. His cell
phone rings, and someone tells him of evidence they have that Nicole
killed Colin Murphy & Victor covered it up. (Always have felt
this spree would go back to that), and makes arrangements to bring
the evidence to Tuscany for Roman. (Uh, oh!) Alice tries to comfort
Celeste, who is having vision after vision (we don't see them) since
the cake episode. Alice gets an idea, whispers to Celeste, who thinks
it is wonderful, and volunteers Lexie to help.
Mickey tells Bonnie they should end the party, but Bonnie says no,
gets everyone's attention, and in an upbeat manner, urges everyone to
start having some fun. She whips off her skirt, revealing silvery
satin pants, and announces they are gonna do some line dancing. She
shows everyone how to start, and cues the music…..and those
there mostly join in. I swear, I thought Alice, cane and all, was
about to start shaking it, lolol….but she sits it out, cheering
everyone on. It is mostly the gals, tho Mickey & Lucas are having
a ball. In fact, smiles are on all faces, except for Sami, who has
the most sour expression, tho she does join in.
Outside, Marlena joins John, who tells her of Tony being out of jail,
& he's waiting for trouble. Cue the camera to pan a dungeon like
room, (at DiMansion, I guess) all dark, dreary, candles lit, big
knives, & some bit of smoke rising up. Back to the line dancing
inside, which ends, everyone is laughing. Lexie & Celeste wheel
out a big platter mounded with donuts…..Alice had made them for
the hospital function, but always makes more then enough. Roman is
happy, knowing Alice made them herself. He thanks everyone for being
there, then he & Kate cut their "Donut wedding cake". LOL
In the ladies room, Sami runs into Nicole, who has a letter from
Brandon she makes sure Sami sees. She won't show the letter, but does
show Sami a picture that came with it…..of Brandon and a girl he
met in India. Nicole smirks, wishes Sami a Happy New Year, &
leaves. Sami is crying, then leaves, bumping into Lucas.
Outside, Celeste is getting some air, and is joined by Lexie. Celeste "feels the evil" & is convince the killer is there. Now cue the camera to Tony hiding in the bushes. Inside, we see various conversations, as Shawn joins Belle, Mimi & Rex & tells them of Tony being out on bail. Roman tells Nicole he is about to get proof she killed Colin Murphy and her husband covered it up, that it will be all over for the both of them by midnight. Nicole goes to find Victor. Bo informs Roman that Tony is free. Outside, Lucas tries to reason with an unrelenting Sami. Kate comes out & agrees. Lucas leaves, Kate tries once more to make peace, as Roman comes up & agrees. Sami tells him to forget it, that she will not forgive him choosing Kate over her, and that he might as well be dead. She leaves. Roman thanks Kate for trying, & tells her about Tony..
Bonnie is in the kitchen, helping herself to a swig or two, and telling the waiters to take out more champagne….but the cheap stuff now, as no one will notice. LOLOL. She leaves, and we see the black gloved hand open the back door, reach in to turn off the lights, and the hooded hockey masked person enters. Outside, Nicole tells Victor what Roman said, but Victor says it is time they face the music. It is over. Bo & Hope come by, telling them to get inside.It is nearly midnight! Roman reassures Kate that he will take the extra security, then wedding gifts her with a beautiful bracelet &endash; one his great grandfather gave to his great grandmother on their wedding day, and that Caroline had given to him before she died. He thanx her for trying to mend fences with Sami. His cell phone rings, and his informant tells him the evidence is in the kitchen storage room, in an envelope. He kisses Kate, leaves, turns back, kissing Kate once more, and telling her how very much he loves her. He goes to the kitchen, turns on the lights, looks towards another room.
Shawn & Belle chatter away about being together in 2004. Brady
& Chloe look for Victor. Outside, John joins Bo & Hope as
they patrol the perimeter, splitting up. B&H find something on the
ground, shining their flashlights on it. Elsewhere, John hears a
rustling in the bushes, asking who is there. Bonnie joins Celeste
outside, as Lexie joins them, telling Celeste of Tony being out of
jail. Cue Celeste to again have her vision of the bridal mannequins
in the store window, and the blood. She says the evil will strike at
the stroke of midnight.
Back in the kitchen, Roman finds an envelope with RB on the front. He
opens, then reads it, saying, well I'll be damned. He stuffs the
paper back in the envelope, as the lights go out and he looks around.
And the previews for the next episode show….
The New Year's midnight countdown, with Bonnie's voice yelling 10, 9, 8, 7…….as we see Kate greeting Philip in full Marine uniform, Bo & Hope kissing, John telling Marlena he loves her as they kiss, along with Rex & Mimi, Mickey & Alice, Shawn & Belle, Brady & Chloe…….with the camera then panning to the kitchen floor, a pool of blood, and Bonnie screaming her lungs out.
