Summary: Roman, Bonnie, Mimi, Rex, Shawn and Max the dog all have a close encounter with the Salem Serial Killer…Jan continues to stalk Belle…Bonnie makes her move on Mickey…and it is a restless night for Sami and Lucas, but a sweet one.

Sami and Lucas…
are still in his apartment as we get a replay of a scared Sami coming in and crawling in the bed with him. The fight over the covers until Lucas decides to go and sleep on the sofa. He gets up and she begins to point at his lower half, laughing. No, it's NOT what you think…she is laughing at his boxers, which he said Will gave to him. He heads on to the sofa (where he says he will have a stiff NECK (lol). Sami tries to go to sleep, but tosses and turns and finally gets up and goes for something to drink. She is now in only a black camisole and panties and is digging through the cabinets looking for a tea kettle. Lucas wakes up and walks up behind her (checking out the view) and startles her, causing her to bump her head. He tries to check it but she doesn't want him touching her. He gets her some ice but she complains she is freezing. He tells her to put some clothes on then! LOL. She whines about how she had a bad day and almost loses it saying she can't take anymore as he rubs her shoulders. She says it finally hit her, that her life is good for nothing. He jokes around, but she tells him to be serious. He tells her if she wants to be serious, go to bed with him. She remembers when they used to be best friends and how it changed when they had sex (great flashbacks her of a VERY young looking Sami and Lucas). She refers to what they had as "comfort sex". He says he was talking about going to bed NOW for sleeping…only. Cue a sheepish looking Sami. She agrees, so they head back to bed. They lie in bed, both wide awake as he asks her if she actually thinks that he could have killed her. He admits to be worried about her and wishes they could get along better…for Will's sake. She rolls over (back to Lucas) and he begins kissing her as she responds. They begin to go at it hot and heave and her eyes fly open…yes, it was a fantasy/dream. She wakes up and hears him snoring and yanks the covers. He gets up to get a blanket and she tells him to get back in bed. Later, as he is talking, (is she really asleep?) he leans over and kisses her on the cheek and wishes her sweet dreams. Later Sami wakes up and is in his arms. She looks up at him and smiles.

At the Loft…
Belle finds Jan's bracelet in the floor and since it isn't Mimi's assumes that it is Shawn's Christmas gift for her and puts it on. Jan is watching from the pantry and mumbling to herself. Belle hears the sirens outside and worries about Shawn and Mimi. She tries to get her mind off it and turns on the radio and decides to wrap his gift. Jan sneaks out of the closet and attacks her gleefully with the hammer. Yes, it is Jan's fantasy. She thinks twice about it, after hearing the report on the radio. She fears that if she attacks Belle, she will be thought to be the serial killer. Belle calls Shawn on his cell after hearing the killer struck again. Their conversation below. After her phone call, Belle decides to bake cookies to get her mind off it. Jan thinks that "Tinkerbelle" will be toast.

At the Tree Lot..
There is a replay of Mimi's call to Rex. Max begins barking as Bonnie turns to see the killer and screams. Rex, Roman and Shawn all rush over to them. Bonnie grabs a bottle of ketchup and squirts him/her in the face and he runs off. She ends up under a pile of trees as Mimi tries to help her up and encourages her to run. The killer then comes up behind Mimi and grabs her around the neck as Bonnie screams "NO, not my baby". Bonnie attacks him as Max has him by the let. Rex, Roman and Shawn rush up as the killer runs and Rex chases after him. Roman tells Shawn to stay with Bonnie and Mimi and he rushes after Rex. Rex tackles the killer as Roman get there. They struggle and the killer gets away. Roman shoots and the killer goes down. Back at the tree lot, Shawn gets the call from Belle and he tells her what happened. With Bonnie's help, he urges Mimi to go with a cop back to the loft. Shawn goes to help Roman and Rex and Bonnie calls Max to go home. She turns and runs into Mickey. Roman talks Rex and Shawn into going home as he calls CSI. He finds blood in the snow and realizes the killer may have been hit. Mickey helps Bonnie up and offers to take her home to make sure she is safe. She offers to fix him some soup and a sandwich with the promise of more eggnog…LOTS of it (LOL). As they go to leave, Roman walks up and tells them the killer got away. Roman needs her statement so she recants her (embellished) story in front of Mickey. Roman leaves as Bonnie invites Mickey back to her place. LOL as he is playing with Max and asks if he would like his belly rubbed (Bonnie thinks he is talking to HER). He likes Max and talks about getting a pet himself. To herself, Bonnie thinks he needs a kitty…named Bonnie.

Back at the Loft…
Mimi arrives and Belle is glad to see her as Mimi fills her in. She notices the bracelet that Belle is wearing and remembers that Jan had one like it which bothers Belle a bit. Mimi tells her that her mom thought she saw Jan earlier, but they are both sure that Jan would never show her face in Salem again. (Jan is taking all this in.) Shawn and Rex arrive much to the delight of the girls. Jan thinks "enjoy him while you can, Belle…for soon he will be mine." Later, Mimi are Rex are at his place and he tells her that he had the killer and could have easily killed him or her. He says he couldn't…he is just not a killer. She apologizes for ever doubting him. They profess their love and kiss. In the other loft, Shawn suggests they go to bed as Jan listens. They talk about the purity rings working overtime. Jan realizes that they are both still virgins as she heads out of the closet and thinks that Belle had better be good…and save Shawn for her!

Back with Roman…
He calls Kate on his cell (she has been at the police station the whole time) and tells her what happened. As they talk, the killer watches from the trees. Roman tells her he loves her very much as the killer sneaks up behind him….as we see the previews…

On the next DAYS OF OUR LIVES…

Belle is talking to Hope about how she can't wait to do Christmas shopping for a baby. Hope chokes on her tea and asks OMG, are you pregnant? As Belle chuckles…

Shawn and Bo are shopping in a lingerie shop as a girl offers to model something for him. Bo chuckles "hey, it's fun hanging with dad isn't it?"…

Roman tells Lucas that he is proposing to Kate tonight as Sami rushes up saying she would rather have him dead than marry that bitch…

Someone is watching Marlena (looks like in her office) as she whirls around and gasps…and the credits roll.

Summary: Tiz Christmas Eve in Salem as Bo and Shawn shop together as Belle and Hope help (cute scenes), Kate will be the last one to know Roman's proposing as he tells everyone else what he's going to do...and is surprised by Marlena's reaction...and if Sami gets anything by coal in her stocking the way she's acting, I'D be surprised!!!

BELLE'S LOFT
Belle smells the coffee that Shawn's brewing downstairs and comes down in her robe to find him in pants and tennis shoes, but shirtless (brrrr). She loved sleeping with him even if they didn't make love, but he knows they have the rest of their lives to do that. He has major Christmas shopping to do. They talk about their friends and family that won't be there this year before he leaves.

COP SHOP
Kate stops by the cop shop to make sure Roman's ok. He assures her he is and brushes by her to go into the office to find Bo and Hope. After the close call the night before, they insist he has 24/7 protection. He accuses them of not following orders and insists on being a target so they can catch the killer. He orders them to take Christmas Eve and Christmas day off to celebrate the holiday. Bo asks if Roman has any special plans with Kate and he shows them the box with the engagement ring in it. They convince him it's a perfect Christmas present for Kate. Noting their concern about his safety, he tells them he'll be fine and has too much to live for and will be careful. Bo reminds him about their courtside tickets for the Bulls on the 17th. They wish each other Merry Christmas.

BASIC BLACK
Marlena stops by John's office at Basic Black and finds the office empty. She decides to leave a note and feels like someone's watching her. She turns around and not seeing anyone, turns back to write and we see someone coming up behind her and putting a black gloved hand on her shoulder as she turns and gasps. It's John in his coat and gloves (didn't have time to take them off in the elevator?). She isn't anxious to kiss him after the fright he gave her. He thought she saw him coming in. They talk about Christmas and she mentions how stressful this time of year is and her patients may need her. He asks if she's buying Sami's accusations that he's the serial killer. She knows Sami wants to come between her and John and Roman and Kate and tells him that won't happen. He asks if she wouldn't be upset if Roman and Kate broke up and she gets irritated to the point where she's going to confront Sami and tell her to stop the accusations or they'll have to not be around her any more. She turns her cheek when he tries to kiss her goodbye and shrugs it off as not wanting to redo her makeup and leaves.

Kate comes in (after visiting Lucas) and she and John decide to give the employees their Christmas bonuses early and let them go home. They talk about Marlena and Roman. He encourages her to get Roman (aka..the big lug) to marry her right away. She doesn't want to push Roman and is worried he might have changed his mind. John figures she's worried that Sami changed Roman's mind about her.

SALEM PLACE
Bo literally runs into Shawn D. in front of a lingerie shop. Father and son are both in their black leather jackets. Bo mentions some vacuum cleaner that Hope's been wanting and Shawn can't believe his ears. Shawn gives his father sensitivity shopping 1A, reminding him that Hope's also his wife and lover at home. Bo's shocked that his son referred to his mother as his lover and laughs at how his son is trying to tell him how to romance his wife. Bo tells his son he's not a dinosaur, but Shawn assures him it's just the gift giving department he needs help with. Bo lists all the various kitchen appliances he's given Hope over the years and Shawn remembers they were at their garage sales too.

BACK TO THE LOFT
Hope stops by Belle's loft after not finding Shawn at home in his own. Belle tells her that he's out shopping and Hope accepts a cup of Christmas blend coffee from Belle that Shawn had made earlier. Sitting on the couch Hope finds a card that Belle gave Shawn and reads the inscription to herself saying that she (Belle) designed them especially for Shawn and can't wait to see him wear them or not wear them, to bed. Hope can't believe her baby boy and Belle have had sex. We see a flashback of Bo and Hope with baby Shawn. Belle brings her coffee, asking if she's okay. Hope tells her she was thinking about Christmas and what a special time of year it is, especially when you have children. She spits out her coffee when Belle follows with saying she can't wait until she has a little baby to go Christmas shopping for. Hope asks if Belle's pregnant. Hope apologizes and rushes to clean the coffee up saying she hadn't seen Belle's purity ring on her hand and jumped to conclusions. She sees it on the counter where Belle took it off to wash dishes. Belle tells Hope they haven't done anything yet. Hope's relieved and tells her about a friend that just turned 40 and had sex for the first time. Sensing Belle's shock at that, she says well, maybe 35 would be better (oh paleez). The subject changes to Christmas gifts and Hope tells Belle how Bo gets appliances for her. (find that hard to believe as romantic as he is) Last year he got her a talking toaster (LOL as she imitates it telling her the heat setting was too low for a bagel). Hope tells Belle that husbands think hard for gifts, but usually come up with something practical and stupid. You have to let them think you love the gift, leave it around long enough they'll see it, but then return it before it's too late. She warns Belle saying the apple doesn't fall far from the tree as Belle thinks differently. The gals head off to go shopping (where the heck is Zack..still parked at Alice's???) On the way out Hope changes her mind and tells Belle 35 is too long to wait, how about 34)..

BACK TO SALEM PLACE
Hope and Belle spot Shawn and Bo inside the lingerie shop. They're trying to figure out what their women would like and clueless about sizes. Some friends recognize Shawn and offer to model the item he's holding for him, but he tells them he's with his dad, which is when Bo comments it's fun to shop with him, haha. Seeing what their guys are choosing, the women realize they're in trouble. Hope sneaks over and talks the salesgal into convincing the men to buy what she and Belle pick out. That way everyone will be happy with their gift. They watch from behind a rack and Hope laughs saying they should insist on opening their presents up at the same time. Belle calls Hope "Mom" which catches Hope off guard, LOL.

LUCAS & SAMI
Sami and Lucas wake up spooned together. He's a little surprised at first, but starts kissing her neck and she rolls over to kiss more. She wakes up asking what he's doing, but he softly tells her that the doesn't want to fight any more and if she's honest with herself, she wants it too. She softly agrees and they start kissing again. Later we find them in bed hot and heavy when the doorbell rings. She tells him to ignore it and he agrees..but wakes up when he hears Sami calling there's someone at the door (darn!!). He comes out to find her on the couch in her nightie and glasses, reading the paper and drinking coffee. It's Kate at the door and she goes off when seeing Sami there. Insults are tossed as Lucas says great and ends with fa-la-la-la..la-la-la-la....LOL. He sends Sami home and they agree to talk about Will's Christmas later. Kate tells him she's concerned how Roman brushed her off at the station earlier and he assures her Roman's just wrapped up in the serial killer investigation and loves her. She wants a future with Roman and hopes he feels the same.

Later we find Kate's gone and Lucas is getting dressed. Roman arrives and tells Lucas about proposing to Kate that evening. Sami overhears from the hallway as Lucas is overjoyed with the news after Kate's earlier visit. Sami rushes in saying she'd rather have her father dead then married to that bitch. Marlena arrives and overhears as Lucas and Roman remind Sami that he and Kate have alibis and are not the serial killer. Marlena rushes in and Sami tries to get her on her side. She tells Marlena how having the affair with John ruined her children's lives and not to let dad make this horrible mistake (not the best convincing argument Sami) Roman pulls Sami aside and pointing his finger in her face, tells her she does not have a say in his personal life. Sami flashes back that is he saying she doesn't matter to him and he'd choose that whore over his own wife and children. Marlena tells Sami to back off and Sami huffs out saying if he marries Kate it'll ruin all their lives. It leaves Lucas, Marlena and Roman speechless. Out in the hall Sami tells herself she'd kill before letting dad marry Kate.

BACK TO BASIC BLACK
Sami arrives (THAT was fast as she just left Lucas' apt.) to find the office empty. She overhears Kate and John talking as he urges Kate to push Roman to marry her as soon as possible. Kate takes the bit and will propose to Roman if he doesn't to her. She convinces John, who's upset how Marlena's avoiding him, that Marlena loves him and he's the only man she wants. He thanks her and tells her that Roman is a lucky man to have Kate. Sami rushes in and tells them both that her parents are going to get back together.

BACK TO LUCAS' APARTMENT..
Marlena and Lucas try to comfort Roman after Sami's outburst. Lucas is determined to make it the best Christmas ever for Will and knows how happy his mom will be after Roman proposes. Out in the hall Marlena asks Roman if he's sure he wants to marry Kate. Confused he tells her he loves Kate and she loves John..but Marlena looks at him and tells him he doesn't understand, she loves him...as the previews for tomorrows

ON THE NEXT DAYS OF OUR LIVES...

Kate and Sami are wrestling and Kate threatens to have Sami arrested for attempted murder...

Belle and Hope opens their gifts from Shawn and Bo..delighted with their presents...(Hope's is red and Belle's is white satin). Bo and Shawn whisper they weren't the items they bought, but are keeping their mouthes shut as the gals like them so much, haha...

A happy Brady opens the door to see Chloe......

Night has fallen on Christmas Eve in Salem, as Days gifts their viewing audience with a heartwarming episode. The Horton family hang their ornaments, while Jennifer gets a special gift from Jack, Kate gets her wish, and Brady's hopes materialize.

Carolers are strolling thru town, singing Deck the Halls, as Jen, packages in hand, calls Jo to thank her for having Abby stay with her on Christmas Eve. As she hangs up the phone, a voice says Thanx, beautiful. Jen turns around, sees a Santa, and says…Jack??? She apologizes, sits down on a bench, as Santa sits down next to her. She flashes back to Jack, in Santa suit, proposing to her (love the scene) as Santa calls her Jennifer Horton Deveraux, and says she is going to get a special gift from her husband, & whispers in her ear. Jen looks shocked, & as she turns around, Santa is gone.

BO & SHAWN ARRIVE AT THE LOFT to find Belle & Hope wrapping gifts. We see some cute scenes as the gals open their lingerie gifts, ooohing & ahhhing over them, exclaiming over perfect sizes and colors, etc. The guys realize this is not the stuff they bought, but figure they should keep their mouths shut, since the gals obviously are sooo happy.

Over at Basic Black, Sami is lighting into John & Kate with her usual mantra about her folks belonging together, and John going to kill Marlena. John calmly tells her he is not the serial killer, proceeds to quietly tell her off, then leaves. Sami then turns on Kate, who tries to get her to be peaceful for the sake of the holiday. But Sami picks up a paperweight, evidently planning to attack Kate, and they struggle over it. Kate wins out, and leaves, as Sami follows her, determined not to let her father marry Kate. At the Kiriakis mansion, Brady is missing Chloe, and watching the video of them on the beach on his PDA, I guess, while Nicole is taunting Victor. Meanwhile, Marlena & Roman are out walking, with Marlena saying how much she loves Roman, that maybe Sami is right about them, and he shouldn't marry Kate. Cue Roman to have a shocked expression, as an upset Marlena remembers past Christmases, and mentions Caroline's ghost saying John will kill her. Roman argues with her about Kate's innocence, says she actually was with him when he got attacked, so can't be the killer. He reassures her about their past love, that she does love John, and he loves Kate, and that Sami is making her go on a needless guilt trip. They hug…..and from afar, a smirking Sami tells Kate she knew her parents belonged together.

Back at the Kiriakis mansion, John stops by to see Brady, and spots the concert hall replica. Brady tells him it is to be called the Isabella Toscano Black concert hall, & that Chloe will be the resident diva. (O.K. he didn't say diva…..I did, lolol) They talk a bit of how John still misses Isabella at Christmas, and of the chance that Chloe may come home.

JEN ARRIVES AT THE HORTON HOUSE greeting a beautiful Alice, & Uncle Mickey. Lucas & Will arrive right behind her, & Jen is rather cold to Lucas, until Mickey explains about the killer's attack on Roman the night before, and that Lucas was accounted for, and is no longer a suspect. Now Bo & Hope, Shawn & Belle arrive at Gran's & the atmosphere is very festive. Jennifer is awaiting a phone call, and tells Hope that Jack always loved surprises, as she sees Santa near the tree waving at her. But he disappears again.
The family now begins the traditional hanging of the ornaments. (I absolutely LOVE this part! sigghhh) There are lots of close-ups of the ornaments. Mickey hangs his next to Maggie's, & we see Sarah & Melissa's above them (those are the 2 daughters who could not make their mother's funeral). The camera pans to the ones labeled Bill, Mike & Jeremy (this is Alice's son Bill (Jen's dad), & his son Mike, & Mike's son Jeremy). Lucas & Will now hang their ornaments side by side, & for a bit Jennifer can't find Jack's. But Hope points it out, as Santa again appears to Jen, pointing at the ornament. Jen smiles (she does have the most beautiful smile!) & hangs hers next to it. Abby's is above theirs. The camera shows us Doug & Julie's, as Bo & Hope hang theirs, while Shawn & Zack do the same. Jen lovingly touches Jack's ornament, & remembers how Jack said she would never be alone, and to always have faith. The telephone rings, Jen rushes to answer. It was Mike, calling to wish everyone a Merry Christmas. She goes back to the tree, thinking aloud that she may not get her gift, after all. She sees Jack's ornament sort of glinting, as the phone rings again. Mickey answers, it is for Jen. That smile lights up her face as she wishes the person a Merry Christmas, turns to her family, who are gathered together expectantly……and announces she is pregnant. She & Jack are going to have a baby! An outpouring of joy at the news, as Mickey exclaims that life does go on and Alice thanks Tom.

ELSEWHERE IN SALEM, Brady is calling the airport, learns the plane landed an hour ago, & he realizes that Chloe must not have been on it, otherwise she'd be here already. Now it is Nicole doing the smirking. She tells Brady if he wants a midnight eggnog she'll be in her room. Victor drags her off.
Marlena is at home, thinking of her conversation with Roman. John comes up behind her, asking her if her thoughts are still of him, or of Roman. He tells her he loves her, & his face tells of his hurt, as she only asks him to promise her the killer will be caught soon. He says he will do all in his power to protect his family.
Roman finds Kate after looking everywhere for her. He gives her a gift, a small box, with I think a brooch in it. Kate is soooo disappointed, but then he says he has another gift, that it might be more appropriate for Valentine's Day, but what the heck, and out comes the ring box. Kate face radiates happiness, as Roman gets down on one knee in the snow, and proposes. Kate accepts, of course, and they are hugging and kissing, declaring their love, as snow begins to fall, & a disappointed & angry Sami looks on.
At the apartment, Lucas & Will are at the tree, when Sami comes in, about to start a rant about her father proposing to Kate. Lucas asks her to cool it, for the sake of their son and his Christmas. Sami goes to hug him, as Lucas looks on.
Brady is feeling pretty low, as he hears carolers outside. He swears he hears Chloe's voice, and thinks it is the CD, but it is turned off. He runs outside, and there is Chloe, all dressed in a fur trimmed white long cape, & white gloves, looking like the Snow Queen (an old fairy tale). Victor & Nicole see the reunion thru the window, and Nicole's face shows her sadness. Brady & Chloe's version of Silent Night (they sang it last year) fills the air in the background, as we see Brady & Chloe kiss, then Mickey & Alice at the Horton tree, with a close-up on Addie & Tom's ornaments, a nativity scene, Sami hugging Will as Lucas joins them, John & Marlena kissing on the sofa, then Roman & Kate kissing in the park. Back to Jennifer, holding an arm across her tummy & looking upwards; Bo with mistletoe over Hope's head and kissing her, while Shawn & Belle also are kissing, back to John & Marlena, then Lucas, Sami & Will, Roman & Kate, and then Brady & Chloe. (these scenes are all just lovely)

The Horton family are gathered around a seated Alice on the sofa, as she exclaims over a new life, a child is born, bringing so much new hope and love into the world…a true Christmas miracle! And the previews for the next episode show…..

In bed, Roman tells Kate he wants to get married right away, but she says no

Brady tells Chloe he has waited for her and never stopped loving her, as Chloe replies she was hoping he would say that

Victor tells Nicole she will never get her hands on Brady. She says Merry Christmas to you, too, you Grinch

Abbie to Jennifer……I love you….as Jennifer says, Thank You, Jack!

THURSDAY, DECEMBER 25TH, 2003

Summary: Salem celebrates Christmas at the Brady house…Lucas, Sami and Will celebrate together…Jen and Abby visit Dr. Bader…Bonnie continues to turn up the heat on Mickey…and later everyone gathers at the hospital.

At the Horton House…
Mickey sneaks downstairs with a baseball bat (LOL) to find Bonnie in the kitchen fixing his breakfast. (No she didn't spend the night, she is the housekeeper and has a key, remember?) She explains it is a thank you for saving her life. She is fixing eggs, hashbrowns, bacon, etc. (made me hungry). She also has a gift for him on the table. It is a CD of country music…she mentions Merle Haggard, Dolly Parton and Tim McGraw. Conner downloaded the music and made it for her. He says she should be home with Mimi and Conner, but she insists on cleaning up while he eats. After she leaves the room, a befuddled Mickey drops the CD case and says to himself "What do I do now?"

Kate and Roman…
Wake up together as she is fingering her ring. He tells her she can exchange it, but she swears it is perfect. She is worried about him and feels that if they get married, he will be making himself an easy target. But Roman promises he will be safe and wants to get married as soon as possible. She fears he is in danger and will never forgive herself if anything happens to him.

Brady and Chloe…
Wake up together, talking about how she feels that all of this is just a dream. Nicole is camped out by the door listening as Victor walks up and chides her as they hear Chloe moan. Later Brady and Chloe lie across the bed talking and watching it snow and talk about how lucky they are. She tells him that she has been with no one else as he tells her the same and that he has never stopped loving her. She tells him that she feels that she is back home where she belongs as Nicole listens. Later, they come downstairs as Chloe wishes a bitter Nicole a Merry Christmas. Victor hugs Chloe as she thanks him for her gift (the trip home). Victor also gives her another gift…Isabella's pearl necklace as Nicole stews from the background. As Brady and Chloe look over the model of the performance center, Victor and Nicole argue. She asks since Chloe gets the pearls, WHAT does SHE get. Victor tells her that she gets a stocking full of the coal that she so deserves as she calls him an old Grinch. Nicole watches as Brady and Chloe kiss.

Will, Sami and Lucas…
are at Lucas's place as Will opens his gifts. Sami goes to leave, but Will and Lucas ask her to stay, Will has a gift for her that he made. It is a book of pictures, including pics of all of them. Sami turns to one of Roman, Marlena, Eric and herself and gets upset. Will apologizes for upsetting her but she says she loves it and it affected her because she is happy. She goes to leave, but Lucas asks her to stay, they have another surprise. She goes to change and promises she will be back. She whispers to Lucas that she has nothing for him, but he says it is okay. Later, Lucas and Will are cooking dinner as Sami returns all dressed in a white sweater dress (looking VERY nice). She asks what they are trying to prove as they are stuffing the turkey…she is impressed. She leaves again and they wonder where she went. Later, Will smells smoke and they realize it is coming from the hall and rush out there, Lucas with fire extinguisher in hand. They see smoke coming from Sami's apartment and rush over there, Lucas sprays the foam just as she opens the door with a pan of cookies, drenching her (LOL). They go back over to Lucas's apartment as he takes a dish towel and starts cleaning her off. LOL as she tells him he is getting a little personal there! She had turned the temperature up on the oven to help bake the cookies faster and burned them. They start laughing and picking as Will holds the mistle toe over them and tells them they know what to do. They are ready to kiss when the phone rings. It is Kate telling Lucas the good news and wishing him a Merry Christmas. He is thrilled for them. Roman wants to talk to Sami, but she refuses. She says that is one wedding that will NEVER happen.

The Rest of Salem…
seems to be gathering at Bo and Hope's house. She opens the door to find Marlena, John, Belle and Shawn there and welcomes them in. Jen is already there and explains that Abby spent the night with Jo and Vern. Jen tells everyone the good news about finding out she is pregnant as John and Marlena are thrilled for her. She is meeting Dr. Bader at the hospital before the children's party and has to rush off. Marlena (who is acting a bit distant and odd) asks Bo if Roman is coming. John notices her behavior and asks if she is okay (when Belle talks to her she practically ignores her). Marlena tells John she doesn't know what is wrong with her. PopShawn arrives followed by Kate and Roman arrive with Hope immediately noticing the ring. Roman announces that they are getting married tomorrow as everyone congratulates them, except Marlena, who looks stunned. Kim and Kayla call as Shawn talks to them and Roman wants to tell them the news. John congratulates Kate as she asks how he and Marlena are. Roman wishes Doc a Merry Christmas, and she half-heartedly congratulates him. Bo and John discuss the case, both worried about Roman. Note: one glaring absence is Alice!

At the Hospital…
Jen meets with Dr. Bader (she had delivered a baby that morning and squeezed Jen in) as Abby arrives early for the party and asks if her mom is sick. Jen sits her down and gives her the good news and Abby is thrilled. Dr. Bader comes in to do a sonogram as Jen and Abby both excitedly watch. Abby tells her mom that she loves her and will be there with her all the way to help her. Jen tells her that she and the baby will need her help. Abby asks if it is a boy or a girl but finds out it is too early to tell. She says she bets DAD knows. Abby tells Jen that Jack had told her the story of delivering her when she was born. Abby promises to be there to help this time. As they hug, Jen says "thank you Jack."

Everyone begins arriving for the party (Kate and Roman, Bo and Hope, John and Marlena, Shawn and Belle). Kate and Roman talk about getting married as Belle and Shawn talk about last Christmas and how Chloe read the Christmas story. Jen and Abby arrive as Abby is beaming. Hope tells Jen that Gram couldn't be there but wanted Jen to read the Christmas story. (She talks about how appropriate it is that Mary gave birth to a child that brought so much hope to the world). Jen is touched and agrees. Bonnie and Mickey arrive (she talked him into coming). He is sad, remembering how much Maggie loved the children's party every year. When no one is looking, Bonnie stuffs Christmas cookies in her purse…God I can't stand her. Jen welcomes everyone as the children are brought in and begins the story. She also reads from John 1 about how in the beginning there was the word…(you can read it for yourself if you like). She does a nice job as the camera pans the attendees and children. Especially touching is Mickey wiping away the tears. Roman gets a message on his PDA as he and Bo go into the hall to check it out. It has a moon on the screen that changes to blood…then it says "You won't live to see your honeymoon night"…as the previews roll…

On the next DAYS OF OUR LIVES…
John (to Marlena): Tell me what's wrong…Marlena: If Roman marries Kate it will be his death sentence…

Kate (to Roman): Roman, we are doomed…

Sami is dressed in red (at the altar at St Lukes): Forgive me God…for I about to sin…

Nicole is coming onto Brady, saying "Let's make some noise"…as Chloe walks in on them…

Rex is saying (to Tony?) "You killed my sister…now YOU are going to die" (as the camera freezes on Tony's face)…

Summary: It's the day after Christmas and we find out Salemites out and about..at the park, in the woods and some home in bed...

KIRIAKIS MANSION
Brady wakes up to find Chloe still sound asleep next to him. He awakens her by rubbing a rose along her arm and vows they'll never be apart again (think they're going to be a little late for breakfast Victor ;-) Later Brady helps Chloe put on the pearls Victor gave her that once belonged to Brady's mother. She asks what happened to Victor and Nicole as they were so much in love (gee, their first anniversary is coming on NY Eve).

Downstairs Victor finds Nicole drinking already and taunts her asking if the sound of Chloe and Brady's reunion kept her awake all night (in that huge house?) She throws her glass at him, calling him a bastard and asks how he could do that to her! He chuckles and warns her never to under estimate the power of Victor Kiriakis and leaves. She tells him to never under estimate the power of a sexy young woman over a hot red blooded male and smirks.

Later Brady's out for a run and Nicole and Chloe chat. She asks Nicole what's up between her and Victor and Nicole asks if she really wants to know. She knows it's none of her business, but asks if Nicole's still in love with Victor. Nicole tells her no and they're getting a divorce. Chloe tells Nicole life's too short and to have what she wants in life. She excuses herself and Nicole agrees with Chloe, telling herself she has to make the songbird fly away and knows exactly how to make that happen.

Later Victor returns home and runs into Brady out front as he returns from his jog. He returned so they can all go to the wedding together (Lucas was fast with those invitations). Inside Victor walks in to Chloe talking to Nancy (aka Mom) on the phone, telling her she's happy to be home in Salem again (yes...send Nancy and Craig home for good too!!) Victor comments on the pearls and Chloe tells him she loves them. He tells her Brady's home from his run (she wasn't expecting him for another hour and runs up to see Brady. Victor tells himself that Nicole doesn't stand a chance with his grandson now. Upstairs Chloe walks into their room and finds Nicole naked with Brady (she just snuck up on him as he was getting out of his clothes and hugged him before Chloe walked in).

AT SALEM PLACE
Sami is shopping (returned the slipper socks her grandma got her before she died, but looking up, apologizes and knows she'd understand she can't wear them...so much for sentimentality Sami!!). She sees a bridal store's maniquins in the window and pictures them as Kate and Roman as the bride and groom and Marlena and her as their attendants. She shouts she objects and can't forever hold her peace. She goes over and twists Kate's head off, then does the same with Marlena's. She puts Marlena's head on the bride's maniquin and as Marlena approves and kisses Roman, turns to Kate, calling out to Roman where her head is on the floor. She tells Kate her parents belong together and isn't love a kick in the head as she kicks Kate's head out the window. Back to reality, she tells herself she'll do anything she has to to keep her parents together. Celeste overhears and warns her to be careful what she asks for and she's tempting the fates, which might blow up in her face. Sami tells her to mind her own business and pedal her doom and gloom to someone else. Celeste sees the white rose on the groom starting to bleed and knows evil is back. She asks who and what evil is waiting for this time.

AT THE BLACK PENTHOUSE
John wakens alone in his bed, finding Marlena gazing outside. He quietly gets out of bed and joins her at the window, asking if she's all right. She shakes her head no and tells him that Sami was right. If Roman marries Kate, it'll be his death sentence. She's worried about the death threat against Roman and at the wedding he'll be a target. He assures Salem PD's on top of it (uh oh, a definate bad sign) and she smiles saying all's well as Roman's marrying the woman he loves. John goes to take a shower and she remembers telling Roman she loved him on Christmas Eve. Sami calls saying she needs to see her about her love for daddy.

AT THE PARK
Lucas sits in the park looking at Roman and Kate's wedding invitation. Tony joins him saying it's a bad time for a wedding and hard for people to enjoy it until this lunatic is caught. Lucas gets a cell call and Tony turns to make a note in his PDA that he or she won't be caught? Tony sits on the bench and picks up one of the invitations, figuring it's a little late as the wedding's that day. Lucas explains he printed out the invitations himself, and for security purposes, numbered each invitation and only the people with an invitation will be let in. Tony learns he's not invited, but extends his congratulations and good luck wishes to the couple (I bet!). After Tony leaves Lucas vows nothing will ruin this day but looks at an envelope addressed to Sami, saying there may be one thing...

Celeste runs into Tony as he buys coffee from a vendor in the park. She asks why he's there and doesn't believe it's to find Rex. He denies being up to anything and she tells him she senses something's wrong. He tells her evil is all around them, they just need to find the source (in jest) and leaves.

AT ROMAN'S HOME
Roman brings breakfast in bed to Kate and glories in the perfect weather outside for their wedding day. He wakens Kate as she panics, telling them they're doomed. She jumps out of bed and tells him it's bad luck for the groom to see the bride on their wedding day and pushes him out of the room. He can't believe she's doing that as she tells him to go to the kitchen until she's gone. He begs with her to let him in as he wants to be with her. She only agrees if he keeps his eyes closed. Laughing, he agrees as she opens the door and they kiss and fall on the bed to make love, but with eyes closed. We join them later as they're in bed, still eyes closed, as the skeleton comes on his PDA in the bedroom. They don't see it and he gets out of bed with his eyes closed and after hearing the door shut, she opens her eyes and gets out of bed. She notes Roman has a message and when he doesn't answer, goes to see it herself thinking it might be about their wedding. She gasps and drops it to the carpet...it says YOU WON'T LIVE TO SEE YOUR HONEYMOON. Later Roman comes out of the shower and sees the message and a shaken Kate. She suggests they postpone the wedding, but he tells Kate, who's now crying, nothing will happen to him and all will be well.

LATER, IN THE PARK...
John finds Lucas in the park and pulls the gun out of the holster under Lucas' jacket. Lucas confirms he works for Tony and has a permit for the gun. John suggests he wear it to the wedding, sure that something's going to happen after the new warning (Guess Kate called John while Roman was in the shower?). Roman finds John and Lucas in the park (Lucas still hasn't handed out all the invitations yet, haha). John asks Roman what's going on and he tells John that Kate saw the latest message (guess I'm confused or not paying enough attention, cuz John already knew about it). John assures him that he, Bo and Hope will cover his back and not to worry about it. Roman assures John what happened in the past is water under the bridge. John tells him he and doc just want Roman happy and the men shake. Roman tells him that means a lot to him.

Sami finds Marlena praying at St. Lukes. Marlena tells her she's praying for forgiveness for what she's about to do to Sami. She tells Sami she needs some tough love and to have some respect for her and Roman's choices and what they do is none of her business. The wedding will go on today. Sami is surprised, not realizing it was that day and is determined not to let it happen. She tells her mother if she was honest with herself, she'd tell Roman her true feelings and stop the wedding. Marlena glares at her and leaves (knowing to herself she did that and it didn't work). Sami looks at the cross and gets on her knees begging God to forgive her as she's about to sin. A cold breeze blows in her face and the candles on t he altar go out. She wonders what's going on and only wanted a small natural disaster, not asking Kate to be turned into a pillar of salt. She remembered Celeste's warning about tempting the fates and how it could blow up in her face.

Kate runs into Marlena and asks her to be her matron of honor. Marlena refuses (kinda tacky to ask Roman's ex anyway IMO). Celeste sees more blood running on the flowers in the bridal display window, scared it's going to happen again.

Tony calls father and gives him a progress report, promising to send blood red roses (interested he says that when the roses have RED blood running on them).

UP IN THE WOODS
Rex and Mimi are hiking in the woods. He announces is was there to bury his sister (well, it's about time..thanksgiving was a month ago when she died!). He pulls the plastic bag of Cassie's ashes out of the box and promises to get whomever it was that took her away from him. He asks Mimi to say a prayer and she says the Lords Prayer as he scatters Cassie's ashes by hand.

Shawn leads a blindfolded Belle in the snow covered woods as well. She has sales to go to and asks why a hike today? He uncovers her eyes. He snuck away that morning and made two full size snowpeople that resembled them. He wanted to make her smile and succeeded. She wished they can last forever, but he knows they will. Rex and Mimi walk up behind them and comments if they stay alive. They tell them why they were up there and Shawn and Belle understand and express their sympathies. John calls Belle to find out where she is and tells her about the new message Roman got. He warns "Izzy" to be careful and will see her at the wedding. Rex wants to get his hands on the pda files so he can track the killer. They get the file later on and Rex feels he can track the killer and make his pda beep. He tries it and Tony walks around the corner and Tony's pda beeps. Rex can't believe it and punches Tony in the face, saying he killed his sister and now is going to die. Tony rubs his face and

Chloe tells Brady she's going back to Milan today. Brady tells her he can't let her do that. She tells him he can take his concert hall and shove it....

Bonnie tells Celeste they found the serial killer. Celeste tells her bad vibrations tell her that it's not over....
