Jack says his final goodbyes to Jen…Belle goes on a rampage aimed at Lucas and Sami…Nicole thinks that Victor is trying to do her in…Maggie has a close call, then later, gets a special visit from a family member.
Belle & Shawn
Go for a walk to get some air (Air? Weren’t they on the roof
last we saw them?) and end up outside the pub, which is decorated
for Halloween. Belle is on edge over all that is going on. Shawn
tries to hold her and she pulls away. She whines about him making
promises to her that he can’t keep…like he told her
that there would be no more killings. She talks about him
accusing Rex all the time and how she feels so helpless to do
anything. They hear sirens in the distance as she gasps.
At The Kirakis Mansion
Brady comes in to find it empty with Nicole or Victor no where to
be found. He picks up the Intruder, wondering who the killer is.
He looks at a picture of Nicole on the table and it comes to
life, with her beckoning him. Later, Victor comes home to find a
man waiting on him for a meeting and they go into the den. Nicole
comes in shortly after (this all took place after Maggie’s
attack…see below). Another man shows up and we learn that
the 2 men Victor is meeting with are his lawyers. Nicole wonders
what is going on. Sure it is all about her, she goes outside and
tries to eavesdrop. He hears Victor say “Nicole is getting
too close to the truth…murder is a distinct possibility”.
She decides she needs a closer look and decides to climb up a
tree so she can see inside. Upstairs, Brady is taking a shower
and as he gets out, spies her through the window as she is
climbing the tree. He goes outside (clad only in his towel, yea,
right) and pulls her down out of the tree. She falls on top of
him and (of course) the towel comes off. (insert awkward moment #
97 here). He covers himself back up as she explains what she was
doing. She begs him to help her and as she hugs him, Victor walks
up and says she has every right to worry.
Goodbye, My Love
Jack warns Jen to be careful and that there will be another
murder, but he can’t tell her who it is. She starts throwing
out names and then asks if it is her, and wishes it were. She
says she can’t go on without him. He apologizes for
upsetting her, saying that they wasted too much time in their
lives already with all his disappointments. He tells her it is
not over, they will be together again and she asks if that means
she is going to die soon. All he can tell her is that they will
be together someday and until then, his presence will be with her.
He tells her that he has one last gift for her and then she will
have every thing she needs. They lie on the bed as she asks why
he is there. He tells her that he is there for closure, but she
doesn’t want closure. He tells her that she will always have
her memories as he touches her temple. She has a flashback (I’m
not familiar with it) where they are toasting each other. At the
end of the flashback, he tells her it will be clear to her all in
good time. He then tells her that she will learn of her gift soon.
He goes to leave as she begs him not to go. He turns and says
“come what sorrow now, it cannot countervail the exchange of
joy, the one short minute gave me in her sight” With that he
gives her one final kiss then disappears as she cries for him not
to go. Alone she cries and says “Goodbye Jack…Goodbye”.
She lies down on the bed, holding his picture close to her and
sobs.
At The Hospital
Hope and Mickey talk in Marlena’s outer office as inside,
Maggie is drowsy as the killer comes through the window. She
wakes up and see him/her holding the knife and screams. She jumps
up and runs to the door, but can’t get out. Marlena had
either locked it OR Maggie locks it in the confusion. (My
question is, if Marlena locked the door…WHY?) Outside, Hope
and Mickey hear her and can’t get in, saying the door is
jammed. They kick the door in and rush inside, Hope with gun
drawn. They find Maggie in the floor. She is okay though and as
she comes to, all she can say is “eyes” and then
finally tells them that the killer was in there. Hope notices the
open window and checks it out, but no one is there. Maggie tells
them that she saw the same eyes that she had drawn and even
though it was dark, she could tell that the attacker had on a
mask and was holding a scalpel (as she gets upset again). Hope
tells Mickey that there is dust on the window seal and that there
is a footprint in it. For all that were wondering, he notes that
they are on the 10th floor, but Hope informs him that there is a
ledge all the way around the floor and that the window in the
next office was open as well and that from there, the attacker
could have gotten into the air ducts and escaped. Hope has a
flashback and tells them that her attacker had on a mask as well.
They decide that the attacker is a shrewd, calculating person
with extremely good luck as Mickey fears for Maggie’s safety.
Home Sweet Home
Hope and Mickey take Maggie home and put her to bed. Maggie says
that she is okay and for Hope to go home to be with her family.
She tells them that Caroline had called and wanted her to come
over to the pub and talk with Jen, but there is an officer right
outside their front door. Hope offers to stay but they convince
her to go and be with Jen, she needs her right now. With a kiss,
Hope tells Maggie that she loves her and leaves. Mickey tells
Maggie to get some rest and if she needs him, he’ll be right
outside the door. As he leaves and turns out the light, Maggie
hears a noise and jumps straight up in bed, asking “who’s
there?”
Back To The Pub
Sami and Lucas meet up outside, with both of them making comments
about how disheveled the other looks (Lucas says that Sami is all
dusty and she comments on his scuffed up shoes). They are there
to have dinner with Will and they run into Belle and Shawn
outside and Belle wants a word with them. As Lucas and Sami argue
with each other, Belle lights into them when Sami badmouths John.
Belle is afraid her dad is in danger and Sami swears she would
NEVER hurt him. Sami begs her to stop hurting people. Lucas says
that Belle is just as crazy as her sister as Sami swears she is
innocent. Belle rants on, saying she is going to confront ALL of
the suspects one by one but Shawn says no because he loves her
too much and afraid something may happen to her. After Shawn and
Belle leave, Lucas and Sami wonder what is up with her. Jen and
Caroline arrive as Lucas apologizes for not coming by the house.
But Jen understands, considering the circumstances, being that he
is a suspect. (WHAT? That makes him look more guilty in my eyes).
They all go inside as Caroline goes to get Jen tea and tells her
that Hope is on her way. Jen thanks Caroline for being so
understanding and believing her about Jack’s visit. She just
wonders what Hope will think. Sami and Lucas overhear this and
Sami comments on it, calling Jen crazy and slams her about being
so weak and dependent on a man that she has to cling to his ghost.
Jen overhears and storms over there and confronts Sami, saying it
is taking all she has to keep from choking her to death right now.
Jen rails her out, saying that Sami doesn’t know the first
thing about love. They get into a full-fledged shouting match,
with Lucas having to break them up. Caroline apologizes to Jen on
Sami’s behalf, saying that (as usual) she speaks before she
thinks. Sami and Lucas are arguing as Hope walks in asking them
where they have been. She tells them about the attack on Maggie
and wants to know where both of them were in the past hour. They
point at each other and say “with him/her”. Hope tells
Jen about Maggie as Jen says that was what Jack meant when he
visited her earlier. Shawn and Bell have now walked in and heard
this, as well as Sami and Lucas. Color Hope confused as Jen tries
to explain about Jack’s visit. She tells her that he told
her that another attack was being planed right now and that
someone else was going to die. She says that she needs to tell
the police what Jack said (as Belle begins to freak out).
Maggie Has A Visitor
The closing scenes are chilling as Maggie gets up and goes to the
window, looking outside. She hears the chant from the children:
“Salem Stalker took a gun and gave Abe Carver a deadly one…
Salem Stalker took a rock and gave Jack Deveraux a deadly shock…
Salem Stalker still not through, soon Maggie Horton will be dead
too!” While looking out the window, she is startled by
something. She looks over to her right and sees Jack on the ledge.
He holds out his hand as she says “Oh God” and he
beckons her….as the previews roll…
Preview:
Belle says that it is only a matter of time before he
comes after her or Shawn (as Marlena reacts)… John tells
Shawn that he has a way to keep Belle safe, but he isn’t
going to like it… Nicole tells Victor that she heard him say
he was going to get rid of her. He says she is damned right…and
it’s long overdue… Marlena and John listen as Maggie
tells them that Jack came to tell her that she was the next to
die…

Victor decides to give Nicole her freedom and has only one condition; Maggie continues to have frazzled nerves; people gather at the pub to support Belle and Jennifer. Again..kudos to Suzanne Rogers (Maggie) for her awesome performance today.
Victor Gives Nicole Her Freedom
A repeat of Victor catching Nicole and Brady outside, thinking he
caught them at something. Brady tells him what had happened and
Nicole admits over hearing Victor tell his lawyers that he
planned on getting rid of her. Victor explains it as giving her
the freedom she wants. She's stunned as he tells her the divorce
settlement he'd decided on. $100,000 lump sum settlement, her car
and clothes. She's silent, but Brady likes it and dashes off to
get dressed after Victor requests a few minutes alone with Nicole.
To herself, Nicole vows not to let him get away with this and
follows him into the house, questioning the timing for this
sudden divorce. Victor says life is too short not to be happy. He
figures getting her out of the house will also keep her away from
Brady. She tells him how good Brady is for her and he makes her
laugh. He tells her she just uses people and Brady needs someone
worthy of him. He finally tells her to pack her bags and get out
and that "their character is their fate". She asks if
there are any conditions and he has only one. She asks if he
wants her heart. He tells her no, not her heart as it isn't worth
anything. The only condition is that she leave Salem and not
contact anyone, including Brady, after leaving. If she refuses,
he'll make sure she's the prime suspect for Colin's murder and it
will fall into place she's guilty of Jack and Abe's murders as
well. She knows why he's doing this. He figures it'll make her
look guilty and he'll get off scott free. He suggests she take
the $$ and run. He refers to it as a "no brainer". He
said he's not worried as he can afford the best lawyers to defend
him. Now dressed, Brady returns, surprised they aren't happier.
Victor said ending a marriage isn't a happy time and details need
to be worked out.
At The Brady Pub
Hope and Jen continue their discussion at the pub about Jack
saying there's going to be another murder and he couldn't
interfere with fate. Sami's still questions Jen's seeing Jack,
but Hope confirmed there was another attack in progress when he
said it. Caroline is worried about Belle and mentions calling
Marlena to come to help her. Jen hopes Marlena can help Belle and
Caroline comforts Jen. Sami figures the killer will get away with
it, just like other unsolved Salem murders (LOL), but Jen vows
Abe and Jack's death will not go unsolved. Sami and Lucas use
each other as an alibi for Maggie's attack, but privately ask
each other where they were. Grandpa Shawn arrives with Will (who
he picked up after school). Will's got a black eye. Shawn tells
them he had gotten a call from the principal and when he couldn't
reach either Sami or Lucas about it, went to get Will himself (didn't
want to tell Caroline and worry her). The other kids at school
were telling Will his parents were murderers and he got into a
fight. Sami tells him to ignore the other kids and he knows his
parents are good people and not murderers. All he knows is his
parents faces are in the papers and on tv and the other kids see
it too. Sami suggests getting his eye checked and going home to
talk about it, but he says the nurse checked it out and he wants
to stay at the pub til this whole thing is over with. Shawn tells
her to let him stay and anything Sami might say to him would only
make it worse right now.
Upstairs John joins Shawn, who's outside the room where Marlena's talking with Belle. Both men are worried about Belle. John suggests they send Belle out of town where she's safe. Shawn agrees.
Marlena tries to reassure Belle, but Belle admits her fear of her dad being killed after what he said in the paper, her mother being killed because the killer thinks Maggie told her who the murderer was and then they'll come after her and Shawn next (how about a family trip to a private island til it's all over). Belle knows police protection doesn't help (LOL, no kiddin') and not reassured. Belle knows the murderer is insane and uncontrollable. Marlena asks her to have faith in everyone and offers her a mild sedative. Belle refuses one. John joins them, hugs Belle and also assures her no one in his family will be hurt as he tells Shawn to take care of Belle and leaves with Marlena. In the hall Marlena vows to kill the person responsible herself if she has a chance for all the pain they're causing. Alone, Shawn hugs Belle promising she'll be safe.
At Maggie & Mickey's Home
Mickey brings Maggie some herbal tea in their bedroom, knowing
she's probably unable to sleep. She tells him Jack's outside. He
looks outside and doesn't see anything. He chooses not to believe
her because he's tired of seeing her like this and not the usual
Maggie (who he refers to as "red") who brightens up a
room. (Sorry Maggie, you're not allowed to have a few bad days).
Poor Maggie...she's so distraught as she tells him that Jack
warned her the next time the killer comes after her he won't fail.
She thanks him for trying to cheer her up and they hug as he's
thankful for a smile she gives him. Hope calls to check on
Maggie, who shouts she can't rest as she's too wound up. Hope
wants Mickey to come to the pub to talk with Jen and he doesn't
want to, but Maggie insists..feeling secure with police guarding
her and locks on the doors. (Why couldn't Jen and Hope go to
Maggie's house!! What's wrong with Hope calling Mickey away?) He
hugs Maggie and she tells him she loves him and thanks him for
cheering her up. He reminds her to call his cell phone if she
needs to and a heartfelt goodbye before he leaves. Maggie sits on
her bed and tries to drink some tea, but her hand is shaking too
much to do so.
Hope joins Caroline and Jennifer and tells them Mickey is on his way. Jen is concerned if Mickey should leave Maggie, but Hope assures her Maggie's protected and Marlena gave Maggie a sedative to take. They watch Will with Sami and Lucas. Jen hopes Will won't have to go through the pain like Abby's going through, but Hope rationalizes it's a different kind of pain. Abby's is from loss, but Will's would be humilation and shame. Sami and Lucas overhear and she wants to go check on her son, but Grandpa wants to calm him down first. Sami and Lucas continue their snapping at each other about how the other will get custody of Will if it's true.
Meanwhile Maggie's lying in bed in her dark bedroom (I'd have every lamp lit myself, wouldn't you?) and hears the kids recite their nursery rhyme again. She sees the curtains blowing and launches out of bed, a nervous wreck, yanking off her robe.
Back At The Pub
Mickey arrives and tells the 3 women about Maggie's visit from
Jack as they all stare at Jen. Jen understands Hope's not
believing she saw Jack as she wouldn't either had she not seen/talked
with him herself. Sami overhears and Lucas defends Maggie and all
she's done for him since he returned to Salem when Sami starts in.
Sami suggests having a stiff drink might be all Maggie needs.
Hope gets a call from the officer guarding Maggie. She's missing.
Mickey goes to rush home, but Hope tells him half the Salem PD
are looking for her (yeah, we know how good they are). Maggie
rushes in as Mickey lectures her about not telling anyone she was
leaving, but hugs her relieved she's ok (hope she didn't take
that sedative and then drive) Maggie asks Jen if it's true that
she saw Jack and Jen nods. Sami figures Maggie's losing it and
Maggie stares into Lucas and Sami's eyes (to see if they were the
ones she saw) as she hugs Mickey. Sami comments on it to Lucas.
Everyone watches as Maggie fears she's going to be killed and no
one there can help prevent it. John vows to work 24/7 and call in
every favor/contact. Marlena suggest they go ahead with more
hypnosis. The lights start blinking as Maggie gasps and
everyone's nervous...
Preview:
Philip tells Bo and Hope he has a good lead as to who the
killer is and points at one of the suspects on their board... (we
don't see who)... Rex is swinging a bat at things in his
apartment and Cassie asks him to stop as he's scaring her... John
tells Marlena that Cassie and Rex may not be her children after
all... Rex walks up behind Marlena (who's lying on the couch
reading) with what looks like something to go around her neck...

Rex moves to the top of the suspect list, as his actions & demeanor cause more Salemites to consider him the guilty party in the murders.
At The Pub
John joins Shawn, and while eating breakfast (YES! They
actually eat! LOL) convinces him to help him in his plan to get
Belle out of town. Shawn calls Belle, asking her to come to the
Pub. (She is with her mother, in Marlena’s office, still
worried and upset about her loved ones being in danger, and
Marlena is trying to calm her down) Belle comes in, and John
presents his proposal. He needs her to represent him at a meeting
with hot, new, Italian designer, Alphonso Gritti in Milan. He
cannot go, Kate cannot leave town since she is a suspect. Belle
protests, has college, no experience, etc. Both Shawn & John
claim she did so well on the fashion show, and school has agreed
the trip would be a work/study project, so she would earn credits.
John has exclusive rights to market Gritti in the U.S. Shawn
reminds her that Chloe’s opera company is based in Milan,
John says corporate apt. is all ready, as well as the jet. Belle
agrees to go, and John leaves.
Belle realizes this is a ploy to get her out of harm’s way,
Shawn admits it, & she refuses to go. Shawn eventually
convinces her that her dad would be better able to take care of
himself, without worrying about her, and she agrees to go. They
say their good-byes there at the pub, as the limo has arrived to
take her to the airport.
At The Loft
Shirtless Rex (awww, c’mon Days, enough already with the
shirtless for no reason scenes – I have 2 inches of snow on
the ground!) answers a knocking at the door, and finds Cassie. He
really looks zoned out, and she questions his whereabouts
yesterday. He cannot even answer, but finally seems to come to,
and asks why all the questions. She tells him about she, Mimi
& Philip following him to the crime scenes yesterday, and how
then he disappeared. Rex has no memory of anything after leaving
them in the mall to go for a walk. She shows him the newspaper,
headline reading Maggie Horton Could Name Killer (how
irresponsible of the Spectator…you can tell Jack Deveraux is
no longer there). Rex accuses her of betrayal, picks up a bat,
saying if Shawn or Philip come after him, they are dead, as he
slams the bat on the table several times. Cassie is scared, &
Rex gets another headache. She cries, as she reminds him of
finding him at fashion show with stained shirt sleeve, the bloody
pipe, how he has always disappeared, & something happens. She
is very worried. Rex talks of Marlena’s sessions with
Maggie, then leaves to go see her.
Philip arrives to see Cassie, sees the mess and asks if Rex did
this, and if she is allright. Cassie is very upset, & Philip
tries to calm her down.
At The Cop Shop
Bo & Hope are looking at the Spectator headlines, when
Philip bursts in. He has a lead to the killer, and points to Rex’s
photo on the board. He tells them about following Rex yesterday
to Abe’s house, then to the alley where Jack was killed, and
how he disappeared thereafter. They all agree he would have had
plenty of time to go to Marlena’s office and attack Maggie.
Bo tells Philip to try and get info from Cassie since they are
friends. Philip leaves (see above) and Bo gets on phone with
Harold to complain about the headline, and their “agreement”.
(The Spectator has been reporting news more like the Intruder
lately…for shame!) Bo asks Hope if she can remember anything
about her attacker in the evidence room, size, gender, smell…..anything,
but Hope claims she was fighting for her life, and noted nothing
else.
At Marlena's Office
John comes in, telling Marlena how he arranged for Belle to
leave town for Milan. Both are very happy she will be safe.
Marlena mentions how 2 of her children are suspects, but she
doesn’t believe either one capable of murder. They talk of
Rex, the lie test, how he passed it, his super IQ, & John
finally tells her that Rex & Cassie may not be her & Tony’s
children. Marlena gets upset, remembering how she gave birth, but
John says that is probably true. But the children were created in
a test tube, and may not her bio children. He explains about Rex’s
glitch to that question on the lie detector test, and when she
demands to see the results, tells of them being stolen, probably
by either Rex or Tony. As they talk of Stefano, his brainwashing
of John in the past, what his plans might be for the twins, how
they might be programmed to be the new generation of mercenaries,
Rex arrives and overhears outside the door. As John leaves, Rex
hides. Marlena is sitting on the sofa, reading some reports, as
Rex quietly sneaks in the open door. He has a chain wrapped
around both hands like a garrote, (WHERE did he get it?) and
quietly approaches Marlena from behind.
Preview:
Belle on the phone to Shawn expressing concern about Rex
perhaps being guilty. Hope to Bo as Shawn looks on....refusing to
allow their son to take risks, be a hero, no way, no how Sami
telling Kate she stands to lose everything if people find out…as
Kate picks up a letter opener, holds it to Sami’s throat,
spitting out …Is this what it will take, cuz if I slit your
throat, you won’t be able to tell anyone.

Sami and Kate face off at Basic Black…Kate confesses to Roman about her past…Shawn offers to help with the investigation…and Marlena has a strange encounter with Rex.
Sami…Sami…Sami…
Roman is going to take Will to school, but he doesn’t want
to wear his costume. He says that he doesn’t need an excuse
for the kids to stare at him even more. He asks Roman if either
of his parents are guilty. At Basic Black, Kate is in her office
when a voice begins to call her name. She then hears the rhyme
that Maggie is been hearing, but the last verse changes to “Salem
Stalker has more in store…exposing Kate Roberts as a filthy
whore”. Kate yanks the door open to find Sami standing there
with a smirk on her face. She talks about Kate being a hooker as
they accuse each other of being the killer. Kate tells her about
Belle going to Milan and how she has talent and the only way Sami
got a job was because Marlena begged John. Sami threatens to tell
John all about having an ex-hooker running his company and Kate
tells her if she opens her mouth, she is as good as dead. Sami
begins chanting the rhyme again and Kate asks her where she heard
it. She first says that Marlena told her, but Kate says Marlena
would NEVER do that. Then Sami says she read it in a file on her
dad’s desk at the station. Sami warns her to stay away from
her dad. Kate reminds her that Victor owns her soul and if she
talks, he will destroy her (Kate says he has Sami’s taped
confession to perjury). They continue to argue and toss threats
back and forth until Kate grabs a letter opener and holds it to
Sami’s throat and tells her that if she slits her throat,
she won’t be able to talk…just as Roman comes in,
demanding to know what is going on. Sami accuses her of being the
killer and demands that Roman arrest her. Kate explains that Sami
came in there and attacked her. As they argue and hurl insults,
Sami gets all worked up and faints. Later, Kate throws water in
her face, calling her a faker. Roman says her pulse is normal and
to cut out the theatrics. He says that he came there looking for
her because the school called. Sami was supposed to send 2 cakes
to the school for Will’s party…and she forgot about it.
(Kate can’t believe that ANYONE would eat anything that SHE
made…LOL). Sami says she is taking the rest of the day off
and storms off. After she is gone, Roman demands to know what was
going on. Kate tries to sidestep his questions and he talks about
how Marlena betrayed him, but Kate has done that from the
beginning. He wants the truth and demands to know what the big
secret is. She finally screams at him that maybe it would be
better if he thought she was the murderer than a whore. As he
stands there in disbelief, she tells him that yes, she was a
hooker and levels with him, telling him that her boss was Stefano.
Later, Sami is at home trying to make a cake, muttering the entire time. Kate appears on her shoulder (dressed as a witch) and taunts her about being a bad mother and says she will never be a loving wife. Sami goes ballistic swipes her arm across the counter, throwing everything in the floor. Later, she is on the phone and orders 2 cakes and says she will pick them up later. Will (in his pirate costume) calls from the school, telling her not to come and that the other mothers are talking about her. Furious, she calls someone on the phone, telling them that she needs their help.
The Investigation
As Shawn is on his way to the police station, Belle calls him
from the plane, worried about him. She asks him to stop harassing
Rex and to be careful. Inside, Hope, Bo and John are discussing
whether or not they think Rex is guilty. Hope tells John about
Philip following Rex (and his strange behavior) as Shawn comes in
wanting to help. Both Bo and Hope say absolutely not but he is
determined and says that he is in the best position to keep an
eye on Rex. They remind him how intelligent Rex is, but Shawn is
sure that he will slip up. They don’t want him to end up
like Jack, who knew what he WAS doing and don’t want their
son in the same position. But John thinks that Shawn my be of
help…IF he plays it safe…but Hope is still dead set
against it. John gets a call from Marlena (see below) and tells
them about Rex’s strange visit and then rushes off to see
her. After he is gone, Shawn badgers his parents to let him help.
They tell him NO, and if he notices Rex doing anything
suspicious, to call them immediately. After he leaves, Hope is
sure that he didn’t hear a word they said.
At Marlena’s Office
As she remembers John’s words about Rex, he walks up behind
her and puts the chain around her neck, startling her. But he
shows her a charm he bought her (says MOTHER) and wanted to get
her a chain for it, but wanted to make sure it would fit. (I find
that pretty lame…AND Marlena lame for accepting that). He
talks about wanting to be closer to her as she talks about when
she first came to Salem and how the Hortons, Bradys and Carvers
befriended her and became her family. She says that he is a part
of that family now. She apologizes for not being there for him
Cassie when they were growing up and that she loves them and that
they now have friends that love them as well. He asks her if she
thinks he is guilty and she says she doesn’t believe that he
is capable of violence and talks about all of the suspects are
either friends and/or family. She wants him to clear himself, but
fears it will be difficult because of his pretending to be a
DiMera. She says he is not like the DiMeras…he is his own
man and doesn’t want him to be like Stefano and Tony. He
reminds her that Tony loves them and took them in. She talks
about when John first came to Salem under Stefano’s control
and was programmed to hurt people and that John is now concerned
about Rex as well. One of Rex’s headaches kicks in as she
asks if he is okay. He slips into a fugue state and just stares.
But he snaps out of it as she heads to the phone and offers to
call a neurologist to help. But Rex rushes out the door. After he
leaves, she calls John and tells him what happened. In the lobby,
Rex picks up a paper with the headline saying ‘Maggie Horton
Could Name Killer’ and says “Not if I have anything to
say about it” and rushes off.
Later John comes over to Marlena’s office, fearing for her safety. He thinks that Rex may be using her and taking advantage of her to gain information in the case. She defends Rex’s intentions and blames herself for letting him down in the past. She tells John about the headache and how he changed. She thinks he may have some sort of personality disorder. John asks if she thinks he could do terrible things and not even remember. At first, she says no, but changes her mind and says yes, it is possible. She breaks down, crying and says she wants to help him and only hopes it isn’t too late.
At The Loft
Rex returns home, having one of his headaches. He picks up the
paper and the camera moves in close on his eyes. The shot fades
to the eyes in the drawing as we see Hope looking at it. She
tells Bo that she is worried about Shawn and asks what IF Rex is
the killer and Shawn gets too close. We then see Shawn walking
into the loft and sees Rex across the room with the paper,
tearing it into shreds…as the previews roll.
Preview:
Kate says to Roman “You are talking like I am guilty”.
Roman asks “Are you?”… Shawn is yelling at Rex (Mimi
is there as well) demanding to know who he tried to kill. Rex (holding
his head) yells “Shut up and I’ll tell you everything!”
At the Halloween party, (everyone with food all over them) some
woman yells at Sami that she is insane. Sami yells back “you
want crazy?…I’ll give you crazy…You want a killer?…I’ll
give you a killer” as she chases the woman with a knife…
Then we see someone dressed in a black cape with a mask, walking
down an alleyway as spooky music plays…

It's Halloween night as we find our Salemites out and about. Sami and Lucas deliver the cakes to Will's school party, Shawn confronts Rex, Roman figures out Abe knew about Kate's past and Maggie hands out candy at the door.
Will's Halloween Party
Sami and Lucas arrive at Will's school, each carrying a cake.
He's not happy to be there, but she tells him to suck it up as
they want to show everyone else that they're nice normal people.
He mutters like she could even pull that off and she gives him a
surprised look. He reminds her how she over reacts when people
say things and she promises to control herself. They arrive in
Will's room and yell for him to come over (only about 15 kids in
the classroom and everyone watches as Will the pirate is beckoned
across the room. The teacher, a pretty Ms. Bryce, steps over and
thanks them for the cakes and politely tells them what table to
put it on before leaving. Sami informs her they're staying even
after being told they have enough volunteers. Another mom takes
the cake to put on the table (what's with all the Barbie doll
teachers and moms?) as an embarrassed Will decides he wants to go
home. Determined to make a statement, Sami tells him none of them
are going anywhere. Lucas calmly backs Sami up and tells Will to
go play and have fun. Sami grabs the teacher's arm asking what
her problem is. The teacher tells her to let her go and says the
newspaper isn't the problem, but looking at the mothers (great,
another barbie doll mom joins the first). The two moms are
laughing as one writes something about the cakes on a card,
saying it's all in fun. Sami and Lucas see it says the chocolate
cakes are to die for. Sami makes a scene by confronting the moms
and teachers, embarrassing Will more. Not understanding why
they're trying to get rid of her and Lucas, Ms. Bryce finally
levels they don't want the kids to be in the same room with two
murder suspects. Sami makes an attempt to act normal and steps
aside and compliments a girl on her outfit, thinking she's a rock
singer. She's got long blonde hair and a bright yellow sleeveless
dress on. The girl tells her no, she's suppose to be her..Samantha
Brady, the psycho Salem serial killer as she pulls out a dagger,
saying her mother made her outfit and asks Sami if she likes it
as she preens. (poor Will, it's no wonder the kids attack him if
the parents are that cruel) Sami confronts the girl's mother for
her audacity to do that (I agree) and the teacher asks Sami to
leave now that she brought her cakes. Sami picks up one of the
cakes and slap dunks it on the teachers head. The teacher reaches
over and slams something onto Sami's face and a food fight
amongst the adults begin as the 10 or so kids watch screaming,
shocked. The food fight ends and Sami gets angry and tells them
if they think she's a serial killer and grabs a knife and runs
around holding it above her head...everyone screams and the
teacher goes to call the cops. Sami and Lucas leave after Will
assures them he's ok. In the hall Sami and Lucas talk about what
happened and both worried Maggie may name them as the killer.
They both agree not letting that happen as they leave separately
to change clothes..he at the gym and her at home.
Kate's Office
We return to Kate telling Roman she was Stefano's whore. He's
only upset that she hadn't told him about this before. She tells
him she had, he was just asleep and she never found the strength
to tell him again. She regrets not telling him now. Roman pieces
together that Abe found out about her background and was going to
tell him (he took the smart pill this morning, didn't he?). Not
believing her guilty before, now he believes she has a motive to
kill both Abe and Jack (who had found out about it) and destroyed
the evidence. She could get the death penalty. As a man who loves
her and wanted to marry her, he believes her. The cop in him
can't though. She asks if he's going to arrest her. He says no,
not enough evidence. She asks him to keep what he learned quiet.
He agrees for now, but it will come out eventually. She asks
about them. She knows he'll think of Stefano each time he touches
her from now on. She doesn't want his pity, just his
understanding why she did what she did. He tells her he could
have forgiven her before until it became a motive for her
possibly killing his partner and best friend. She leaves to go
home and pauses in the lobby to cry. She sees the headline about
Maggie naming the killer, grabs it saying that can't happen, and
leaves.
Roman finishes his call to the shop and looks down at the engagement ring he bought Kate. He says there's nothing more painful then losing someone you love.
Horton Home
At home, Maggie pours halloween candy in the bowl to hand out as
they get a first knock on their door. Mickey asks if she's really
wanting to be doing this. It's Celeste warning her she's had
another premonition that Maggie's in great danger. (talk about
stupid...how many people in fear of their life would be opening
the door to strangers in costumes and baring weapons that could
pass as decorations?) Mickey tries to stop Celeste from saying
more, but Maggie insists on hearing more about her premonition.
Maggie tells her about the killer coming after her in Marlena's
office the night before. Someone knocks at the door and Maggie
drops her bowl of candy when she finds a tall ghoul who says
something (saying Jack's name) that scares Maggie. She screams
and a plainclothed man runs up (with blood dripping on his face a
little) to stare at Maggie. Mickey rushes up and the first guy
takes off his mask..it's a guy in his 20's who grew up across the
street. What he muttered about Jack referred to his friend Jack
Bailey who is the guy who rushed up (Jack Bailey looks somewhat
like the old Salem Intruder reporter to me..??). Maggie didn't
recognize either of them til now. They apologize after realizing
it was in poor taste (no kidding, especially with her picture on
the front of the papers as a target). Mickey shuts off the light
to signal no more trick or treaters (but doesn't close the
curtain!) as they sit at the table again. Maggie tells Celeste
about Jack's visit the night before. She asks Celeste to read her
tarot cards and argues as Mickey argues against it. Celeste
agrees not to do it and leaves them to rest in peace (bad term to
use). He tells Maggie to go up to bed and take the sedative
Marlena gave her. He'll be up after setting up another session
with Marlena after the funeral.
Rex
Shawn arrives to find Rex hand shredding a newspaper, accusing
him of being the murderer and telling him that he's not murdering
anyone else. The two start physically fighting. Mimi arrives in
her costume (a cheerleader) and insists they stop by blowing her
whistle. Shawn tells Mimi he has all the proof he needs that Rex
is the serial killer. He tells her about the shredded picture of
Maggie, but Rex insists he was just tired of the whole ordeal and
tore up the whole front page. While arguing he gets another
headache as Mimi and Shawn watch him covering his face. Shawn
tells them Belle's out of harms way and out of town, not saying
where. Rex starts laughing at Shawn's threat of taking him down.
Shawn calmly tells him he will get the truth. Mimi leaves to go
to the party on campus as she's in charge of refreshments and Rex
promises he'll be there after picking up a costume on the way. He
leaves, telling Shawn to go to hell. Shawn watches him get in the
elevator as he locks the door and takes the stairs.
Rex goes to a costume shop which is empty (yeah, right) except for the clerk, and tons of good costumes about (wouldn't happen on Halloween night). Rex chooses the Hannibal Lecter mask from Silence of the Lambs as Shawn watches from outside. Later Mimi returns to the guys loft and said Rex never showed up at the party. Shawn tells her he lost Rex after the costume shop and has a bad feeling about it.
At home we see Celeste shuffling her tarot
cards, having to know what's going to happen. She gasps as she
overturns the death card. At home, Mickey tells Marlena on the
phone that he'll give Maggie the sedative and they're going to
bed. Maggie joins him. Mickey said Marlena's optimistic about a
break through the next day. Mickey tells her it'll be over soon
and she's safe. He'll protect her. Meanwhile, the killer strolls
down the walkway behind their home (where's the Salem PD guards??).
Preview:
Mimi tells Shawn that if someone is murdered tonight, Rex won't
be the only one needing an alibi... Philip tells Cassie that all
the signs point to Rex as the murderer... Celeste says murder is
about to claim it's next victim... Maggie opens the back door to
the killer, saying Mickey would be alarmed if he knew she let him
in (and rightly so...) but I think she figures
it's the guy who grew up across the street again..so if so..doesn't
eliminate the suspects who know she drinks..but only speculating...
