Episode : #9668
Tape Date : Various
Director : Herb Stein
Family and friends gather at the Deveraux home Alice has a terrible feeling that Hope may be in danger Hope is attacked at the police station as once again, Bonnie shows her ignorance and lack of taste.
At The Deveraux Home
Belle and Shawn arrive at Jens offering to help out.
Jennifer talks to Mickey about how worried she is about Abby. She
blames herself for what happened to Jack and gets upset and
starts tearing up the scrapbook she was working on for him,
saying that she is just SO angry. Realizing what she is doing,
she stops and apologizes to Mickey for losing it. But he
understands and consoles her. Belle and Shawn have a gift for
her, a jade plant. She was growing it from a clipping off a large
one on the roof. Jen explains that when Jack first proposed to
her, he had put her ring in a jade plant and that must be the
same one that is now on the roof. (A flashback here would have
been nice). Belle apologizes for her faux pas, but Jennifer is
grateful for it. She thanks them for their thoughtful gift and
wants to go upstairs to show it to Abby. After she leaves, Bonnie
and Mimi arrive. It seems that Bonnie cleans house for Mickey and
Maggie as well and has come to offer her help and Mimi came along
to help out. As Mimi explains to Shawn and Belle, Bonnie babbles
on to a shocked Maggie about just how awful it was for Jack to
have his brains bashed in
just like in that tv show COPS. (egads
this
woman is HORRIBLE).
Celeste is holding the locket (it is what she picked up off the floor) and has a terrible premonition. She tells Lexie that she fears it is about to happen again. Lexie tries to calm her as she tries to explain the feelings about the locket. Shawn walks up asking what is wrong, but Celeste tells them that now the feeling has passed as quickly as it had come. (Hope was in danger at the time see below). She tells them that they need to all be careful and watch out for the ones they love. Lexie scolds her and says she is getting tired of her vague warnings and feelings unless she can tell them something that can help.
Upstairs, Alice is confused by the signs she is getting. First Hopes picture fades, then it comes back. Abby walks in asking if she is okay. Abby talks about missing her dad and how he broke his promise to never leave her. Alice (the voice of wisdom and reason) tells her that he will NEVER leave her and will be with her always. She tells her that sometimes it helps her to talk to those that she is missing, even though they arent there and urges her to talk to her dad. Back in her room, Abby has a flashback of her talk with Jack about boys and takes out a pad and pencil. Jennifer comes in as Abby is writing and asks what she is doing. Abby tells her that she is writing her dads obituary. Jennifer reads it aloud about what a wonderful husband and father he was and what a great reporter. Smiling, Jen says she couldnt have done it any better. Abby talks about how great her dad was and about how he made them laugh. Abby asks if she would like to add anything but Jen tells her that she covered it all. She tells Abby that she will be a living memorial to her father forever and she loves her so much. She kisses her daughters cheek as the tears are flowing for both of them and then she leaves.
Back downstairs, Mimi catches her mother eating and stuffing food in her purse and is appalled (as am I). She tries to get Mimi to eat too (before all the good stuff is gone) but Mimi says she isnt hungry. Bonnie asks if she is pregnant, which Mimi poo-poos. Bonnie sees Jen come down stairs and is star struck (she is a fan of In the House) and rushes over there to ask for an autograph, making an ass of herself as Mimi is embarrassed to death. Belle asks Mimi if she heard she was pregnant. Mimi says NO, she never wants to have Rexs baby. Shawn asks if it is because she is afraid of him. Bonnie is all over Jen and offers to clean her house from top to bottom. Not knowing what to say, Jen thanks her as Bonnie heads upstairs. Mimi tells Shawn to lay off Rex, that he isnt the only suspect. Jo and Vern arrive, greeted by Maggie. Jen rushes to them and apologizes for having to do what she did (turn off life support). But they understand that she was just doing what Jack would have wanted. They ask about Abby as Jen explains what a hard time she is having.
Meanwhile, Bonnie is in Jack and Jennifers bedroom, cleaning out his closet. Abby walks in asking what she is doing and she tells her that she is helping her mommy get rid of her daddys clothes. Abby, thinking Jen has told Bonnie to do it, runs downstairs to Jo, telling her she wants them to take her with them she never wants to see her mother again. Bonnie comes down apologizing as Jennifer tries to explain that she didnt know. Bonnie takes the blame as you can see that Jen is really pissed off and politely tells Bonnie to butt out. Mimi jumps her mom for her behavior (she was going to sell the clothes, saying that Jack didnt need them anymore). God, this woman is appalling! Jo, Vern, Abby and Jen sit on the sofa and try to calm Abby down. As Jen talks about how much she loved Jack, Abby brings up how much of her life they were apart, saying she wasted so much time and now they can never get it back. They try to reason with her, but she rushes off. Jo tells Jen to give her time. They tell Jen that she and Abby are their family and how happy they was for her and Jack. They talk about the good times (Vern talks about their budding romance at the paper again flashbacks would have been nice) as Abby sits on the stairs and listens.
At The Cop Shop
Bo and Roman are talking about the suspects missing and they
attribute it to the news leak. They are afraid that the killer
may be getting desperate to cover their tracks as Bo worries
about Hope. Meanwhile, in the evidence room, Hope is fighting off
the attacker. It is dark and the attacker has on a hood, cant
see, but looks to be taller than Hope. She is thrown across the
room into a shelving unit as the attacker stands over her. (Two
things noticed
this person is very strong
and seems to
have big feet;-) While leaning down to check her pulse, she grabs
them and flips them, pulling her gun. Upstairs, a worried Alice
had called Bo to check on Hope but he assures her that she is
fine. After he hangs up, he begins to worry, for she should have
been at Jens by now (that is where she was headed last time
Bo saw her). Hope tries to force the killer to remove their mask,
but wont. She pulls out her cell, but has no signal. He/she
jumps her and they struggle (why didnt she just shoot them
in the leg?
I know
too easy). The attacker gets the gun
and points it at Hope as Bo rushes in, whacking the attacker with
the door. He finds her in the floor and brings her to as she
explains what happened (my question is WHERE is the attacker now?
looks
like they made a run for it). As Hope picks up the paper, she
tells Bo she is sure that it is someone that they know. Bo is
sure that they will be back. Later, Bo, Hope and Roman are in his
office trying to figure out who it could be. Hope suggests that
the attacker could have been injured in the struggle and that
could be a clue (what you wanna bet that ALL 7 of them turn up
with injuries?) Bo and Hope decide to head over to Jens as
Roman looks at the suspect board, then at Abes picture,
telling him that they sure could use his help right now.
Back At Jens
Bo and Hope arrive as Jen asks her if she is okay. Hope brushes
it off, they dont tell Jen what happened. Bo tells Maggie
and Mickey about the attack on Hope. Funny, but Shawn hears it (from
all the way across the room) and tells Mimi and Belle that Mimis
psycho boyfriend struck again and he is going to stop him and
rushes out the door, followed by the girls. Jo tells Jennifer
that she has something for her that Jack wanted her to have if
something ever happened to him. She pulls what looks like a book
from her purse and hands it over as Jen is shocked. Hope finds
something on the floor, a tarot card. Jokingly, Bo says that
Celeste must have dropped it and asks which one. She flips it
over to reveal the death card
as the previews roll

Episode : #9669
Tape Date : Various
Director : Phil Sogard
Marlena is just told about Jack as family, friends and even Jack gather at the Deveraux home; Rex has a lie detector test; Sami and Lucas show Will how to slow dance as their true feelings silently emerge again.
Marlena's Office
Marlena (in a black dress) greets John. He tells her about Jack
being the next victim. (..she should have been told when Jack was
brought in the hospital to be there for Jennifer who has used her
professionally over the years...where was she?). We return later
after John told her about Jen having to pull Jack off life
support. She asks where Jennifer got the strength. She insists
John stop making himself a target after hearing about Hope's
attack. Two friends of hers are burying their husbands and she
doesn't want to follow suit. He promises her that she won't have
to and kisses her. He suggests they go to Jennifers to see if
they can do anything for her and she agrees, but not until after
he holds her.
Sami's
Will returns home saying Shawn and Caroline went to Jennifer's.
He tells them how Grandpa Roman called Grandpa Shawn about Aunt
Hope's being attacked and why (nice they use the Aunt and Uncle
reference). He asks where his parents were after they left the
pub. Sami tells him she was upset about fighting with his father
and went for a walk and Lucas said he came home to make some
business calls. Will comments neither had an alibi for Hope's
attack or Jack and Abe's murder. Sami is shocked her son accuses
her of being capable of murder, as he glances between his parents
(no, he accused you both Sami) (love the sweater and slacks Sami
is wearing, very flattering). Lucas softly denies that to his son
and assures him the bickering between his mom and him has stopped.
He suggests the 3 of them have a nice dinner together. Will
smiles, liking the idea, as the phone rings. He goes to get it as
his parents snarl softly about the other being taken off to jail.
Later Sami asks Will about his talk with Danny on the phone. There's a dishtowel in her hand, so apparently they had dinner. She heard him talking about a dance at school and he admits being lame at slow dancing. Lucas said he and Sami will show him how it's done. Sami puts on some music as she tells Will what to do. He's stiff as a board and Lucas takes over with Sami to show their son how it's done. Will said he'd rather watch Fear Factor then risk watching them dance together (LOL). Sami can't believe it either, but she agrees. Will shakes his head smiling as he watches them dance stiffly and far apart. He tells them they're lame as no one dances like that anymore. The music changes to Josh Kelly's song, Home to Me as Lucas initiates a cozier dance. Both are clearly drawn together as they're in each others arms and Sami breaks off, but Lucas takes her hand and continues their dance, leaving him and Sami looking eye to eye as he hold her hand near his heart. (yes...more, more!) We return later as the same song is playing and Lucas tells Will the different steps (step step slide). Will watches and I think says, I'm so outta here (not sure) and leaves the room. Lucas and Sami continue their dance as he caresses her back and arms while she gazes into his eyes and they're both on the verge of kissing as the final lyrics of "you are home to me" repeat. We return again and they're still dancing seductively. Lucas turns to tell Will that's basically how you do it and find he's gone. Once they realize that Will's gone, they begin their tyrade about how awful it was to dance together and Lucas leaves. Sami holds the cd and sings softly You are Home to Me, then puts the cd down, telling herself to get a grip, and goes to her room. (Definate chemistry still there... let's not lose it too!!)
The Loft
Cassie and Philip arrive at the same time. He came to see Belle,
but said no one answered. She came to get a scarf she forgot at
Rex's earlier. She questions a bruise on his face, but he tells
her that he ran into a door (yeah right..was from his fight
earlier with Brady at Java Cafe) Shawn arrives (he took the
stairs) asking where Rex is. Rex gets off the elevator and Shawn
starts whomping on him as everyone else watches. Belle and Mimi
scream for them to stop and for Philip to stop them. Shawn yells
about how Rex attacked his parents at the fashion show and
attacked his mom again tonight. Rex said he was out taking a walk
(Salem Police lost him when he was walking, now THAT'S lame) and
for Shawn to stop accusing him of doing anything without evidence.
Rex denies doing anything as Cassie and Mimi silently question
his innocence as well. Rex agrees to a lie detector test and the
group heads to the cop shop to do it.
Cop Shop
They arrive as a puzzled Tek greets them. He tells them Bo and
Hope went home. They tell him why they're there. He agrees,
saying the results wouldn't be admissible in court. Cassie and
Mimi can't believe Rex is doing this as he assures them it'll be
okay. Tek sets the machine up in Roman's office and takes Rex in
to do it as the group watches through the blinds. Tek starts and
ends with some sample baseline questions (name, birthday (he
doesn't know) and month/year). He asks him if he attacked Bo and
Hope at the fashion show, if he bludgeoned Jack, etc. Tek asks if
Rex's parents are Tony and Marlena and he pauses (which the outer
office gang notices a pause). He tells Tek his parent's name (Tony
and Marlena). Later, Tek signals they're done and they come into
the office. Rex is still hooked up and Mimi asks him if he still
loves her. He answers yes and she has Tek confirm he was telling
the truth. Tek does and Mimi smiles (cute). Shawn asks Tek what
the results are, is he the killer (oh palleez..like he'd tell YOU
first Shawn) Tek tells them that Rex passed. Quietly Shawn
questions if Rex could have fooled the machine and he says one
would need to be very focused and it's doubtful. Shawn and Philip
realize Rex can do that. In the outer office Rex pretty much
confirms to Cassie he did control his breathing and heartbeat.
There was only one question he was unprepared for (about his
parents names), but figures he did ok on that too. Tek tells
Shawn that Rex lied about his parent's names. Cassie asks Rex if
he's the killer and he reiterates not remembering anything.
Deveraux Home
Maggie reflects on how hard this must be for Jo to lose a child
as they watch Abby hug a stuffed animal. Jo and Vern finally went
home to get some sleep and Jennifer's still upstairs with Mickey.
Bonnie, in her usual manner, offers to put some food out for
people saying Abby would feel better if she ate something. Maggie
softly tells Bonnie that Abby's hurting and doesn't want to feel
better. Bonnie brings up how Jen took Jack off life support and
Maggie tells her there was no other choice. (Side note... these
scenes are almost painful to watch for long time viewers like
myself as Judi Evans (Bonnie) use to portray Jack's (and Patch's)
sister Adrienne from 1986-1991 and now they have her trying to
sell his clothes and being disrespectful, sigh... sorry... had to
get that off my chest!)
Upstairs Jennifer rereads the note that Jack had given his mother to give to her should anything happen to him. Mickey knocks, asking to speak to her. Mickey reads it to himself, asking if she's up to it. Jennifer agrees, being it was Jack's last request and maybe it'll make them all stronger for it. She thinks it might help Abby. She's worried that Abby will never forgive her.
Downstairs Shawn and Caroline arrive with a couple bags of food from the pub. Bonnie takes them to the kitchen as they tell Abby how sorry they are. They go to Alice and find she's worrying about Hope. If the killer fears Hope can identify him, he might attack her again.
Jennifer comes downstairs with Mickey and tries to talk to Abby. Abby refuses and wants to live with Jo and Vern. The doorbell rings and as Bonnie struts to get it, Jennifer stops her, saying she'll take care of it. (Poor Jen's in the same outfit she's had on since she and Jack went to Salem Place.) Jen greets the funeral director who tells her that her husband's there. Abby overhears and tries to run for the door, thinking her daddy's there. The director asks everyone to wait in the kitchen while his attendants prepare the body for viewing. Alice is shocked asking why Jennifer's doing this, but Jen tells her it was Jack's last wish. (Salem is amazing. Jack was shot that morning, had his organs transplanted before Jen even left the chapel, taken to the funeral home and apparently embalmed already, now rushed over to the house within minutes by a phone call).
John and Marlena arrive to find Jack's casket is draped and candles lit on it (thank goodness it's a closed casket). Folding chairs are set up for people. Jen tells them about Abby blaming her and she's grateful for her family and friends to see her through this. Alice is upstairs with Abby now. Later we return to see everyone there in the chairs. Jennifer reads the note that Jack left with Jo to everyone. He tells her that their home was a symbol of their new beginning and commitment as a family for the three of them. If he dies, he would like his body to lie in the house for a short rest before being put in the ground. His soul will be looking down on all of them and he'll try with all his might to break through the barrier that divides them to remind her that a little barrier like death can't divide them or their love.
Everyone says goodbye to Jack. Marlena promises Jack to do everything she can to help his wife and daughter through this terrible time. She and John will always be there for them. John promises to catch the son of a bitch that did this to him. Alice touches Jack's casket as Mickey says Jack was trying to do the right thing by capturing the killer. Maggie tells him the whole family is proud of him. Alice knows that Tom will be there to greet him. Abby holds her bear and crying, tells her daddy it's so hard to believe he won't be there in the morning when she wakes up. Privately Jen returns and sits to look at his coffin. She tells him that he was right and a little thing like death can't separate them. He was her one true love and he'll be alive in her heart forever. (sniff..pass the kleenex)...
As they leave, Shawn and Caroline mention Bonnie's taking the leftover food to the homeless shelter and commenting how big a heart she has (gag me as we see Bonnie in the kitchen sealing the deal to sell the food and asking about selling Jack's clothing to them as well). She takes off with the Brady's cloth bags with the casseroles inside them. (hope Jen locks the doors!) John and Marlena bid goodbye, saying Alice is being escorted to her car by a policeman and they'll make sure she gets home safely. Maggie thanks them, saying she and Mickey are going to spend the night there. Marlena tells Jen to call her for anything, even if it's just to talk. John tells Jen he loves her and she tells him back (too sweet). Abby stands on the stairs holding her bear watching her crying mother. Outside John and Marlena talk. She asks if it'll ever be light again in Salem. John knows they have to catch the killer or there will be another funeral...

Episode : #9670
Tape Date : Various
Director : Phil Sogard
Its a new day in Salem, as various people meet at the Salem Mall, both Jennifer & Maggie make a decision, Bonnie once more shows how crass she is, while Rexs lie detector test is the subject of much conversation.
At The Cop Shop
Hope is on the phone to Bo, berating herself for being in a
room with both the evidence and the killer, and letting the
person get away. (Obligatory flashback to Hope being attacked).
John comes in, startling her, he apologizes. Seems Bo is with CSI
going over the evidence room where the attack on Hope took place.
They talk of the suspects, and Hope wonders who would be the next
target. John says it will be Maggie, cuz of the newspaper leak
that she saw something. Hope reminds him that he is a target,
too, but John says he is better prepared than Abe or Jack. He
thinks all the suspects are rank amateurs, that Tony would hire
someone, but Rex could possibly be programmed by Stefano. Hope
gets a call from Jennifer saying Maggie needs extra police
protection (see below) and she leaves. Tek comes in, telling John
about the lie detector test that Rex took, and how he missed the
final question. At Johns puzzled question, Tek tells him
that Rex lied about being Tony & Marlenas son.
At Salem Place
Bonnie sits down at a table at Java Café, and sneakily takes
the tip money left there (Is this woman a piece of work or what?).
Mimi comes over, reams her mother out for her behavior at the
Deveraux house yesterday, telling her to stay away. Bonnie makes
excuses, saying with a smirk, that when Mimis dad left, she
took all his clothes immediately and sold them. She orders a
fried egg sandwich & double Americana (??), and says she does
have the money to pay for it. (sure, Mimis money!)Mimi
reminds her mother she stole her In The House money, but Bonnie
denies it, saying she invested it, and Mimi should call the
lottery people and blame them! (How can one cope with someone
whose thinking is so warped?) Mimi notices there is no tip for
her on the table and cant believe that nice couple stiffed
her like that. Bonnies cell phone rings
..Mimi
is astonished that she has one, how can she afford it, commenting
on bills that must be paid, and that Mimi will probably have to
pay them. Bonnie is asked to return to the Deveraux home. She
tells Meems to make her order to go.(Can I just say how I
absolutely HATE this complete 180 change in Mimi's mother's
personality?)
Marlena is on phone to John, wondering why neither Rex or Cassie have returned her calls. She gets a call..from Tony, and asks to meet with him about the kids. Rex & Cassie are talking about the lie detector test, how Rex fooled it, but admittedly wasnt prepared for the last question, but thinks he covered it nicely. (another obligatory flashback of them talking about it at the police station) Marlena comes up, talks with Rex as Cassie leaves. She is happy he passed the test, knows he did not do it, has missed hearing from him, mentions his fights with Shawn, etc. etc. Meanwhile, Cassie runs into Tony, they chat a bit. Then Tony & Marlena meet up, & she says she guesses they dont have anything to talk over now. Her cell phone rings, it is John. He tells her Maggie has had a break-thru, has remembered something, and wants to meet with Marlena at her office. So with Tony, Rex & Cassie exchanging glances, Marlena repeats this info about Maggie, hangs up, excuses herself as Maggie has remembered something about the killer. She leaves.
At The Deveraux Home
Maggie knocks at Jens bedroom door, and opens it after
no answer, to find the room empty. Mickey comes up, glad they
stayed the night, but wondering about Jens bed which has
not been slept in. They go downstairs, to find Jen asleep in the
front chairs, near the coffin. She is dreaming, and we have
another flashback of sorts, this one quite lengthy, as we see
Jack & Jen talking of it being the perfect time to make a
baby, of them kissing and falling on the bed to make love, of
being at the hospital (it now goes to a sort of sepia color),
making the decision to pull the plug, Lexie pressing all the
buttons, Jack flatlining, (then it goes to stark black &
white) as Jennifer holds the locket, talks to Jack and kisses him.
She awakens, saying it is just a dream, but then looks at the
coffin. She tells Maggie she could not sleep, just had to spend
as much time as she could with Jack. Mickey brings warm milk but
she wants none of it. Vern & Jo have picked up Abby and taken
her to school, as Abby doesns want to talk or be near her
mother.
Jennifer says maybe she should get Jacks things out of the
house, and they decide to call Bonnie to come back. Maggie wishes
she could remember something
.then suddenly has a
memory of childrens voices laughing, and a hooded figure.
She faints. When she comes to, she realizes she saw the killer,
and they decide to call Marlena. Bonnie arrives, just as Jennifer
is finishing a phone call. She tells Bonnie it was Jacks
sister Adrienne, and Bonnie says
Adrienne, hmmm, that name
sounds familiar, wonder if I ever knew her (for anyone who doesnt
know, Judy Evans Lucianno who plays Bonnie, portrayed Adrienne
some years ago). Jennifer tells Bonnie she changed her mind, and
would appreciate if Bonnie would go thru Jacks closet, take
his things and give to a good charity. Bonnie is only too happy
to do so. She goes upstairs, and later we see a large black trash
bag about 2/3 full. She nearly takes the little lamb from the
bed, but changes her mind, throws the sack over her back, goes
back downstairs. Jen pays her for her trouble, and tho Bonnie
protests a little, she grabs the money & leaves.
Everyone is gone, Jennifer goes upstairs to her room, picks up
the lamb, holds it to her chest and lays on the bed. We see a
hand (fused light around it) reaching out and touching her
shoulder. She turns over, and we see it is Jacks spirit,
with a smile on his face.
Around Town
Bonnie brings the bag of clothing to either a pawn shop or 2nd
hand store, bragging of hitting the mother lode. She spots a
tiara, priced at $3.00, puts it on her head, and has a fantasy of
cashing in on her daughters romance with Rex. We see Rex,
Mimi & Cassie in evening dress, at the DiMera mansion,
sipping champagne, awaiting the arrival of Mimis mother.
Mimi is gushing over all her mothers good qualities
.noble,
caring, kind
..(yep, every antonym of her actual trait is
mentioned) & goes on and on. Tony comes out, looks up the
staircase saying Mimi, she is everything I expected. Bonnie
descends the staircase (must say she looks fabulous) blowing
kisses to all. Tony takes her hand, then bends her over for a big
kiss! Back to the present as Bonnie chuckles, calling herself
..Countess
Bonnie DiMera.
Mickey & Maggie arrive at Marlenas
office and are ushered in. Hope remains in the outer office,
calling Gran to update her. Maggie prepares to be hypnotized by
Marlena, saying it is time to name the murderer, before it is too
late.

Episode : #9673
Tape Date : Various
Director : Herb Stein
I found this installment to be quite good as well as suspenseful nice pace as well as editing there are some revelations as well as a few red herrings thrown in for good measure. Thumbs up performances again for Missy Reeves (Jennifer) as well as Suzanne Rogers (Maggie). Also, a subtle, heartbreaking performance from John Clarke (Mickey) who desperately wants to protect his precious wife. And a HUGE PLUS for Jack and Jen fans there is a gift that all of you have been waiting for be sure to have your tissues handy!
At DiMansion
Tony is on the phone telling father about Rex passing
the lie detector test as we hear the maniacal laughter over the
phone. Tony asks what the hell is going on. Tony then learns that
Rex is programmed to control those things and that is why he
passed. Tony just prays that he didnt slip up. In disgust,
he slams down the phone and then throws a glass across the room.
Hearing the commotion, Bart rushes in to see if all is okay. Bart
deducts that he must have been talking to Papa Stef
again. Tony says that all he wants is the best for his children
at
any cost. Tony wants to prove to everyone that Rex is innocent
and talks about going to the station and stealing the test
results. But Bart makes it clear that he doesnt want to go,
bringing up the attack on Hope and how she was able to hold her
on, even though the evidence was stolen. He says that he heard
that she put up a good fight and hints around that he doesnt
want someone to have another close call (basically saying that HE
wasnt going to do it). Tony asks him if he thinks he or Rex
was responsible. Bart tries to cover with compliments and then
says that he wouldnt want anyone to take unnecessary
chances. Tony informs he he will recover that test HIMSELF.
At The Java Café
Mimi pleads with Rex and Cassie to come clean to everyone about
their parents. Rex and Cassie talk about how Tony would be
crushed to learn the truth and how Dr. Rolf had talked about the
Legacy Project and how they were created to carry on
the DiMera legacy. They claim that being DiMeras is their
birthrite. But Mimi is sure that the truth will come out
eventually. Rex and Cassie begin to trash the Bradys and how
ironic it is that Roman is trying to pin the murders on Rex. They
worry about what John will do with the results of the polygraph
test and Rex says he knows what he must do
get rid of anyone
who poses a threat to them. Cassie (who seems to begin to worry
herself) asks if he is planning to get rid of John Black. Mimi is
shocked to hear this, but he says he must get those results and
destroy them. He says that he is not giving up being a DiMera and
will stop anyone standing in his way. She asks if he is planning
to break in and steal the results and warns him that it is insane
and if caught, will make him look even more guilty. For once, she
and Cassie agree but Rex is determined and assures them that he
will be careful. After he leaves, Cassie and Mimi worry about
him, talking about how headstrong he is. Mimi appeals to Cassie
to come clean about their parents, but Cassie talks about that
bitch, Kate Roberts and how she doesnt want her for a
mother. Mimi asks what about Philip. She asks her how she can
continue to lie to everyone in her family and where it will stop.
At The Cop Shop
John and Tek examine the polygraph results as Tek explains. John
is amazed at Rexs ability to lie through it, but sees how
that one question threw him. He is sure that if Rex was that good
at fooling the test all of his answers could be bogus. He is sure
that it was the personal emotional question that threw him off,
but realizes that after that, he recovered and was able to fool
the test. John wonders if Cassie and Rex are not Tony and Marlenas
children
who the hell are they
and why were they sent
there. John is sure that Marlena will be devastated if this is
true. He says it will kill Tony. They decide to keep it to
themselves for the time being. They head off to the lab to see if
there is any new evidence as we see both Tony and Rex sneaking
around the station, hiding from them. Later, John and Tek return
and John is sure that someone has been in there. He notices that
Teks desk drawer is open and they find the results missing.
Rex returns to Java Café and reports to the girls that he didnt get the results, he looked everywhere but couldnt find them. We then see Tony back home with the results in his hand. He sees the question about their parentage and is sure that it MUST be a mistake. He realizes that Rex lied on the test about him and Marlena being their parents. Almost to the point of tears, he picks up a picture of Rex and Cassie and says You EVIL bastard who could you do this to me father?
In Marlenas Office
Mickey and Marlena make Maggie comfortable as she assures them
that she wants to go through with this and wants to name the
murderer. They tell Marlena about her vision and fainting spell.
Maggie is sure that she knows who did it, but it is locked inside
her head and she wants to get it out. Marlena promises that she
will take care of her (Hmmm
those were her exact
words
kind of sent a chill down my spine). Maggie says that
she can only remember those evil eyes but is determined to find
out the truth for Jens sake. Mickey promises to be there
for her and protect her and Maggie says that she is ready to stop
this monster before it is too late. Marlena begins the hypnosis
and takes Maggie back to the day of the Christening. She talks
about everyone waiting on Abe and how worried Lexie was. She
talks about Alices visions and how Abe had heard Tom
calling to him earlier. She begins to freak out saying she sees
HIM as we see flashes of Toms face. She begins to cry
hysterically and says that she sees Tom and he is calling her
name. Marlena changes the line of questioning and asks if she saw
Abe that day. Maggie says yes she did as she seems to become more
agitated. Marlena fears it may be too much, but Mickey pulls her
aside and wants her to continue. Marlena tells Maggie to tell
them what happened to Abe as she says she saw what happened and
begins to cry uncontrollably. She says Oh, dear God
I
saw! and screams. Marlena tries to bring her out, telling
Mickey that she needs to rest, she seems very fragile. But Mickey
wants to press on, very worried about her own safety. Marlena
asks if she is ready and urges her to relax and asks about Abe
again. She says that she saw Abe murdered
she saw everything.
Marlena asks her who it was
who killed Abe and Jack as
Maggie sobs. Good acting all around in these scenes! (On a side
note: I dont know what it is about these scenes, but
they make me very uneasy about Marlena. She comes across as a bit
off-kilter
are they trying to cast some suspicion on HER???)
Last Dance
Jen goes to the bedroom, looks at Jacks empty closet and
goes over to the bed. She picks up the stuffed lamb and lies
down, sobbing. A hand reaches over and touches her shoulder and
she turns to find Jack there as she asks Is it really you?
and he nods. She looks again and he is gone. She puts her hand on
his picture thinking her mind is playing tricks on her and rolls
over to find him again. She begs him to talk to her as he asks
her not to cry. He puts his arms around her, assuring her that he
feels no pain and that everything is okay as she begs him not to
leave her. He tells her that it doesnt work that way. But
his love for her will never die, nothing will ever come between
them. She is upset and asks how could he leave. He apologizes for
hurting them as she begs him to stay. He tells her that he will
love her forever and that he came to tell her something. But she
begins talking about Abby and how upset she is and blames her.
She says that they need him now. (Oh get those hankies here,
Missy is really rockin
cant help but wonder how
many of those tears are for real). He assures her that she is
stronger than she will ever know and thanks her for honoring his
requests. But she says she cant go on without him. He tells
her that he will always be with her in spirit as he puts his arms
around her. Music begins to softly play as he asks her to dance.
They slow dance as we are treated to a musical montage of their
scenes over the years. (Sorry, but Im not familiar with all
of them, but I know all you J&J fans will be
lots of
good stuff here). Sorry, I also dont know the name of the
song (possibly It Was Beautiful???) You can find the
words here... At any rate, it is a PERFECT song for this montage
and a fitting tribute to this beloved couple. Thank you Days for
remembering them!!! There are scenes of him rescuing her from the
church, in the firetruck, them dancing, dressed as the prince and
captain, the shell ring, him dressed as Santa Claus proposing to
her, HER dressed as Santa proposing to HIM, Abbys birth,
their wedding (maybe more
but thats what I
remember). The montage lasts through the entire song and as it
ends, he tells her he must go and calls her his one true love.
She begs him not to leave as he says he will always be right here
and touches her heart. She begs him to tell her who did this to
them
who killed him. He says why not?
Ill
tell you.

Episode : #9672
Tape Date : Various
Director : Randy Robbins
As poor Maggie remembers more (kudos again to Suzanne Rogers...her performance sent chills down my spine..literally!!..) , the killer is planning her murder; Rex's behavior concerns Cassie, Mimi and Philip as they follow him, Tony is determined Cassie and Rex are his and Jack returns to see Jennifer again with some good and bad news..
As Shawn & Belle
stroll Salem Place (where else) they see cardboard skeletons
and other Halloween decorations being hung and she feels it's
wrong for small children to be celebrating death and feels for
the Deveraux and Carver families. Shawn gets on the Rex is guilty
spiel again and doesn't want him to hurt anyone else. He knows
they have homework to do, but suggests they take a day/night off
to relax and see a movie. She agrees and they sit on a bench
while he fetches something for her. The Salem Intruder is
on display with a bold headline of who will be the next victim
and pictures of Maggie, John and a question mark underneath it.
She sees the question mark fade away and Shawn's picture is in
it's place. Belle bolts off the bench and heads off. Shawn
returns to find her gone.
At Java Cafe
Mimi, Cassie and Rex continue their discussion about being
DiMera's, not Bradys when Philip overhears his mother's name and
asks what's going on as he thought he heard them bad mouthing his
mom. Rex admits not even knowing Philip's mother and talking
about something else. Shawn finds the foursome at a table and
asks if they've seen Belle. Mimi figures she's in Ballistics, but
Shawn's looked everywhere. Philip steps aside with Shawn and
agrees to keep an eye on Rex until Belle's found. Shawn finds
Belle and she apologizes for rushing off. He was so worried about
her, but understands as he hugs her. Knowing something that'll
help, he hands her the bag of "chocolate" he got for
her. (my kind of guy!!) She goes to dig in for some when he calls
Philip to tell him he found Belle. She's touched how worried he
was. Philip chats with Cassie and Rex as Mimi goes off to change
being she's off work. (no offense, but she appears to talk more
to the customers then serve them, haha) Rex gets another headache
and takes off to be alone (although Mimi offered him a massage).
Philip figures he'll follow Rex and the girls follow suit. They
follow Rex to the Carver yard (note Cassie didn't know where they
even were, yet defends Rex by explaining Lexie is their Aunt and
perhaps he came to see her after learning that was the Carver
home). Rex leaves and they hide watching him. Philip figures he
knows where Rex is headed next. They follow him to the alley
where Jack was attacked (which also has a memorial with lit
candles, flowers and a picture of Jack in the middle...not the
safest thing to be left unattended in an alley with boxes and
crates..but I digress.) Rex remembers Marlena's phone call about
Maggie remembering something and bolts off. The trio split up and
couldn't find him and Philip is worried that Rex is on his way to
commit a third murder.
Belle and Shawn go to the loft roof (jade plant in background) as she looks at the carved initials of former residents and how they all had special love and lost that love...she's afraid of losing Shawn and tells him about her vision of his face on the tabloid. He assures her Maggie, John and him are are safe and no one else is going to die.
At Dimansion
Tony is still befuddled over the question Rex stumbled on during
the lie detector test (if Marlena and Tony are his parents). He
picks up the test to study it again when John bursts in. Tony
hides the test behind his back as Bart apologizes for not
stopping John. Tony scoots the test into his desk as John watches
Bart leave. John questions Cassie and Rex's parentage and asks
what would happen if they weren't Tony's. He asks Tony why
Stefano would genetically plan Cassie and Rex, but figures
they'll soon find out after reminding him how almost everyone in
Salem has been a victim of Stefano over the years and they need
to help Rex. Tony states his son is innocent as John leaves,
determined to prove otherwise. Later Bart sees the lie detector
test results and asks if they're out of the will now? Tony gets
furious, insisting Cassie and Rex are DiMeras. Bart asks what the
Stefmeister is up to now, LOL. Tony remembers that Marlena was
off to see Maggie, who had remembered something about the killer.
Tony tells Bart to leave twice and Bart tells him he doesn't need
to tell him 3 times and splits. Tony burns the test results.
John returns to the cop shop and puts Tony and Rex's folders in the front of the suspect files. He knows they have to get a move on before someone else dies.
At The Deveraux Home
Jen asks Jack for the name of his killer. As he starts to tell
her, he realizes he's being pulled back and isn't able to say
anything before he disappears. Jen is crying for him not to leave
her again. She lies on her bed crying as Alice and Caroline come
in her room to see her, saying no one answered the door. Feeling
they wouldn't believe her, she explains how Jack came to see her.
They both believe her and feel she needs some sleep now after
hearing she spent the night with Jack downstairs so he wouldn't
be alone. Caroline wraps an afghan around Jen. They leave her
alone and she lies on the bed begging for Jack to return for a
few more minutes. He does so. She tells him she's angry with him
for leaving her and demands to know who killed him. Looking up,
he explains he promised not to say anything that could change the
course of the future. He can tell her that she and Abby will live
a long and happy life together though. She tells him how angry
Abby is with her, but he hears Abby's prayers and knows how
that's not true. He knows how hard it is for her to fathom, but
it will get easier, he promises. He tells her he brought her a
gift that will change her whole life (hmmm..bet she's pregnant).
She doesn't see anything and doesn't understand, but he tells her
she'll understand very soon. We return as he tells her that he'll
be with her forever. He spots the jade plant and stands next to
it, remembering it at the loft roof and for her to think of him
when she sees it. He comes to her and hugs her as she begs him
never to go. He knows he can't stay much longer and says there's
something else he wants to give her, a warning that another
murder will happen and is being planned right now.
At Marlena's Office
we continue to see Marlena ask who killed Abe when Maggie
starts screaming again. Hope bursts in, asking what's wrong.
Marlena figures it's futile to try further today (and maybe ever)
as Maggie will never relax enough to remember. Hope has an idea.
An interrogation technique the police use for those having
problems on a conscious level. Hope remembers how Maggie took art
classes and suggests they have Maggie draw what she saw. Later we
see a wonderful pencil drawing of the killers evil eyes. Hope
recognizes them from the person who attacked her the night before.
Marlena shows Maggie her drawing and she says "It's You"
and gets upset. Marlena tells Maggie to rest and go to sleep as
they slip out to her outer office after turning off the lights.
Maggie starts crying. Marlena gets beeped for an emergency much
to Mickey's dismay. Marlena assures him rest is the best thing
for Maggie and dashes off. (why aren't Mickey and Hope sitting
with Maggie while she rests...she shouldn't be alone at all!!
Good grief!) Mickey tells Hope he worried that Maggie heard Tom
say her name as Tom said Abe's name before he was killed. Inside
Marlena's dark office, Maggie sits up moaning in her sleep. We
see the hooded killer climb through the window (what floor is
Marlena's office on??) and into the office. Maggie wakes up and
looks at the drawing she made. She looks up and sees the same (blurry)
eyes and points, saying it's you, I saw you... you killed Abe and
Jack....and screams when the killer holds up a knife.....
Preview:
After hearing Maggie's scream, Hope kicks in Marlena's door (why
was it locked?). Belle and Shawn ran into Sami and Lucas. She
pleads with them not to hurt her dad,Shawn or Shawn's parents or
anyone else. Jennifer looks at Jack and asks if it's true. Is she
going to die too?
