Mimi questions her relationship with Rex, as her mother gives her
unwanted advice. Family, friends and suspects continue to hover
at the hospital and worry, as Salem bids farewell to one of its
own, Commander Abraham Carver. There are a few standout
performances here, among the best are Renee Jones and Josh
Taylor, as I'm sure most of those tears were real. Abe, you will
NEVER be forgotten.
At Salem Place
Shawn and Belle are still at the Java Café, talking about Rex
and worrying over Abe's condition. Meanwhile, Mimi gets up and
gets dressed as she worries about her relationship with Rex. She
kisses him on the cheek and leaves as he is having nightmares. He
sees flashes of Bo and Hope lying in their blood, getting the gun
and hearing a gunshot. He wakes up with jolt and looks at his
hands and sees blood. He heads for the shower as he scrubs and
scrubs. Finished, he says he feels better now, but still worries
about the headaches. Mimi is wandering through Salem Place deep
in thought when she (literally) runs into her mother, who begins
to needle her about her rich boyfriend. She tells her mom that
there is something wrong with Rex but her mom keeps on, asking
her about the sex and suggests that she get pregnant to hold onto
him, which shocks Mimi. Belle and Shawn walk up as Bonnie turns
on the charm. She asks them about Abe and reveals that she is
their housekeeper and is headed over there right now to tidy up.
After she leaves, Belle and Shawn invite Mimi to go with them
back to the hospital, but she says she has things to do and
follows after her mom. She chases her down and chews her out over
her ill advice. But Bonnie puts her down, saying she will never
be able to hold onto a man. She talks about ëSex and the City'
saying that she (Bonnie) is like Samantha and will do what ever
it takes to get her man. She has a fantasy of being dressed sexy
as men are watching her and she flirts with Rex. She pulls him
away and they kiss. Mimi is disgusted but her mom warns her to
not to screw this up. Mimi points out that Rex is a member of a
crime family, which starts Bonnie babbling about "The
Sopranos'. Mimi has had enough and storms off. After she is gone,
Bonnie lights up, saying that Rex is their ticket to the good
life.
Rest In Peace, Commander Abraham Carver
Nicole and Victor are still at the mansion watching the news and
learn that there is now a media blackout on the Carver shooting,
so they head to the hospital. At the hospital, Abe continues to
struggle to speak as everyone gathers around. Mickey and Maggie
arrive in the waiting area as Celeste blames herself for not
doing more to prevent it. Abe is able to utter one word "Maggie",
leaving everyone confused as he points in her direction. In the
waiting area, everyone continues to worry, especially Sami, who
is sure that she will be a suspect. Bo orders a cop to go and get
Abe's briefcase and PDA and download all the information on it.
In the room, Lexie, Roman, Hope and John continue to try to get
Abe to talk, but he becomes agitated and then flatlines. In the
lobby, Celeste gasps and says that Abraham is losing the battle.
The doctors rush into his room as Maggie breaks down, asking why
he pointed at her. They work on him as Lexie goes to pieces.
Victor and Nicole arrive asking what is going on as Celeste tells
them that Abe is dying. Lucas and Nicole take the opportunity to
snipe at each other until Brady walks up asking her why she is
there. She is offended and goes for water, where she and Kate
exchange words as well. Inside, Abe is encouraged by his friends,
but he finally succumbs and is pronounced dead. Lexie loses
control as Hope, Bo and a nurse support her. Bo and Hope pull her
away and hold her as John goes out and tells everyone that
Abraham is gone. The camera flashes around the room to everyone's
faces. They cover up Abe as Lexie continues to cling to him and
cry. Belle, Shawn and Rex all return to the hospital and learn
that Abe has died. As everyone deals with it, Roman seems to be
taking it the hardest and Bo hugs him and comforts him. Bo vows
to get the bastard who did this. In the room, alone now, Lexie
uncovers Abe and talks to him. She talks about how she and Theo
can't go on without him and how much they love him and begs him
not to leave them (Wow, Renee really turns it on here). Roman
comes back in and tries to comfort her, telling her that Abe is
not dead, for he will live on in Brandon and Theo. They bring
Celeste in and they have to pull Lexie away to take her to rest.
Bo is talking to Jack, John and Hope about the list of suspects
being so long. Meanwhile, Lucas wonders where Sami has
disappeared to as we see her going down stairs and crying. She
says that everyone is going to accuse her and think she did it.
John walks up and asks "did you?" She cries to him that
she had threatened to Abe and that she doesn't have an alibi, but
John thinks she is just putting on an act. She says that her
mother isn't even there to defend her and that they might try,
convict and execute her before she even gets home. She says that
she is all alone. She is really hysterical here, but John puts in
perspective, pointing out that she is being her own selfish self,
not even realizing that a great man has died. He tells her that
if she is innocent, then she has nothing to worry about and
leaves. After he is gone, she says that she will have to work on
her performance.
Back in Abe's room, Roman sits alone by his bed as he says his
goodbyes to his friend. He says that he has been a part of his
life for as long as he can remember and that he helped make him
who he is. He calls him the finest, most decent man he has ever
known and says that this just doesn't make sense. He vows to find
the monster who did this and will make them pay. He kisses him on
the forehead and says "Bye Buddy" through the tears. (This
is one of the finest performances I have seen from Josh). John
goes back upstairs and wants to talk to Mickey and Maggie. He
tells them that Abe's last word was her name, leaving them
confused. They immediately think that he was naming her as a
suspect, but John says that he doesn't believe that is what it
was. Bo thinks that Abe was trying to tell them that maybe Maggie
knows something, but she can't think of a thing. Everyone in the
room breathes a sigh of relief, thinking the heat may be off them.
Bo walks in, telling them that they have checked the Palm Pilot
and that they now know the name of Abe's killer as the camera
flashes to Sami, Tony, Rex, Lucas, Kate, Victor and Nicole, where
it fades to black.
Preview:
Belle is crying and telling Shawn not to tell her that he
loves her. Jennifer is telling Jack that she wants her family
together and begs him to give up the investigation, or she will
leave him. Bo says that the identity of Abe's killer was on his
Palm Pilot, someone that they all know. Lexie walks up and says
"I know who shot my husband" as the camera cuts to a
worried Sami.

TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 30,

Roman vows to see the killer get the death penalty but it doesn't
upset the suspects who all decide to dine at Tuscany (the
Penthouse Grill must be hurting from the lack of business), Abe's
death changes Belle's perspective on "forever", and we
see how resourceful Bonnie can be.
Rex & Shawn's Apartment
Mimi returns to Rex's. Her mother walks out of the bathroom, much
to her dismay. She tells Meems that the super let her in and
suggests Mimi move in with Rex and she won't have to worry about
rent money. Mimi calls her viewpoint unromantic, her mother calls
it reality. She asks her mother what she was doing in the
bathroom and her mother tells her what anyone does in the
bathroom, geesh. They talk about Rex and she wants Mimi to grab
onto him. Rex returns and her mother gushes all over Rex as he
silently listens. When Bonnie leaves, Mimi asks what's wrong and
he says everything as he loses his temper. He rants about no one
knows he's not really a Dimera and he deserves the respect a
Dimera should get. He unbuttons his shirt and tells Mimi he wants
her NOW. Mimi's not in the mood, but agrees saying she loves him
and goes off to the bathroom for birth control. Mimi returns and
Rex starts kissing her. She tells him they can't do it as they
had a whole pack of condoms and they're gone (we see Bonnie
putting them in her purse).
At The Hospital
Lexie is crying hysterically in a hospital bed as Celeste tries
to calm her. A nurse comes in to help and Lexie refuses drugs to
calm her, she just wants the killers name that took her husband
from her.
In the waiting room, Bo announces that the killers name is in
Abe's palm pilot. John consoles Belle and asks Shawn to take her
home. Bo announces that Abe kept meticulous notes and how he kept
records of all of the meetings he's had. He mentions to Victor
that Abe felt Victor was hiding evidence from him about Colin's
murder. Victor denies guilt and when Bo confronts Nicole with the
same, Victor interrupts that neither of them were responsible for
Colin or Abe's murder and walks away.
Bo asks Brady for his take on Victor and Nicole's behavior being
he lives with them. Brady lies, denying any strange behavior at
the mansion. Hope asks Bo if there was anything about their
attack at the fashion show in Abe's PDA. Bo said yes and read
Abe's notes about his confrontation with Rex over a garbage can
that morning (at the Dimera mansion). Jack speaks up about that
as Bo asks Rex if he was hiding evidence. Jennifer pulls Jack
back and Tony denies either of them hurting his brother in law.
John tells his brother that if he's guilty, he'll take him out
himself, Roman seconds that.
Bo apologizes to Roman, but says Kate's name was in the PDA. Sami
picks up on that and accuses Kate, saying Abe mentioned something
about a wedding. Kate explains it as she and Abe were talking
about her and Roman possibly getting married and he offered his
congratulations..saying it was a happy conversation. Mickey
mentions seeing Kate and Lucas at Salem Place that morning and
overheard Abe's name mentioned and how she was crying. Sami wails
on about how Abe had something on Kate's secret past and Lucas
was trying to defend his mother. Jennifer defends her brother and
Sami continues on. Kate calmly explains she felt Roman was going
to propose to her and Sami unravels telling Roman he wouldn't do
that and Roman finally tells her to shut up. Kate suggests
Mickey's accusations are being said to take the heat off Maggie
as her name was Abe's last. Roman has to silence the room after
that, telling them he'll call them all in individually for
private talks. He tells them all that Abe was going to retire and
had asked him to take over as commander. The Police Chief had
approved it and he'll be acting as that position now..and only
hopes to do half as well as Abe did. John and Bo give him a pat
on the back. Roman announces that Bo and Hope are returning to
the force and John will be helping the force, so the four of them
will be investigating As everyone starts to leave, Lexie rushes
out pointing at Sami (we see Sami's face) as she says she knows
who murdered Abe and to come back there. Lexie points at Sami and
shouts how Sami acted to Abe the night before. Sami denies
hurting Abe, saying she loved him. Lexie loses it, insisting Sami
not even say Abe's name and launches herself at Sami. They're
pulled apart as Hope and Celeste walk Lexie away. Everyone stares
silently at Sami as she denies it again and was alone at Salem
Place shopping, so no alibi. She didn't have a gun, but Rex said
guns are easy to get. Sami starts accusing and says Lucas has a
gun. He says he has a permit for it too. Kate and Nicole take
shots at Sami until Roman stops talk and says that there's no
such thing as a perfect crime and they will catch whoever did it.
Looking at everyone individually, he promises the killer will get
the death penalty and it will be his pleasure to make sure it's
carried out.
After the group has dispersed, Sami nervously whines to Tony. Rex
stops by and Tony asks him to join him and Sami for dinner. Rex
declines and leaves. Tony has to make a phone call and suggests
he meet Sami at Tuscany. She says good idea and leaves.
Hope and Celeste tell Roman, Bo and John that Lexie wants to be
with Theo, so they're taking her to him. Lexie tells them that
Abe had some files at the house and asks them to get them and see
if they'll help find his killer.
At The Loft
Belle tells Shawn how she was like an honorary daughter to Abe
being he didn't have one. He took her on her first roller coaster
ride and they both screamed their heads off. He came to her house
every Christmas and now all that is gone (didn't know anyone went
to the Black penthouse on Christmas, haha). She feels bad she has
all these memories of Abe and Theo will never have any of his dad.
Lexie will have to raise her son alone. She doesn't want to ever
feel that hurt herself. Shawn explains you can't always control
these things. Belle states she won't marry Shawn or anyone else.
They'll still be together, just not make any promises they can't
keep. Belle said she's living for today, not tomorrow, and asks
him to make love to her. We return to him shirtless and her in
her camisole as she gets upset when he says he'll love her
forever.
Dinner at Tuscany
Later we find Brady, Nicole and Victor having dinner as Brady
questions their behavior again. Later when Brady returns (from
the men's room?) to find Nicole and Victor gone, he notices Kate
and Lucas are also gone and confused where everyone went.
Kate and Lucas also decide to dine at Tuscany and Dave seats them.
Kate frets about what Abe documented about her dealings with
Stefano. She figures when Roman finds out he won't want anymore
to do with her. Sami arrives and decides to wait for Tony in the
lobby.
Brady notes Sami's entrance and Kate and Lucas' return as well.
Tony arrives and as they go to their table, Lucas pipes up that
Rex is right, Sami could have gotten her hands on a gun. Sami
says Kate could have used his gun. Kate tells Sami to go to hell
and she probably will being she killed Abe. Sami accuses Kate of
killing Abe to prevent him saying what he found out about her and/or
Lucas did it for her. Tony stops the bantering saying Salem has
enough unsolved murder mysteries (ain't THAT the truth, ha!) and
maybe this will be one of them.
Mickey and Maggie walk up to Tuscany (outside) and she doesn't
know if she's up to working tonight. Mickey suggests they go home
and let the staff run the place. She changes her mind and before
going inside, Mickey asks why Abe said her name. Mickey's worried
that whoever killed Abe might think she knows something. They
hear rattling in the bushes. Later, as they go inside, Mickey
speculates the killer probably overheard them outside. They look
around and see all the suspects (minus Rex) at Tuscany.
The Deveraux Home
Jack and Jen are home. As he sits on the couch editorializing
Abe's being gone, Jennifer blasts him about he kept piping up at
the hospital about having information and how he's investigating
what Abe had been working on. She reminds him how Roman stated
the killer was in that room and asks Jack why he didn't just draw
a target on his own chest? He tells her nothing will happen to
him, but she reminds him that's what Abe said too, and now
Lexie's a widow and Theo without a father. She wants her family
together and demands he swear to stop the investigation or she'll
leave him. He can't believe that and they argue about his putting
his own life in danger. She loves him too much to watch that. He
tells her that he loves her too and apologizes. He solemnly tells
her that he'll stop the investigation as they tell each other
they love each other. She goes to erase any evidence he has off
his computer as he panics about her doing so.
The Carver Home
Bo, John and Roman walk into Abe's house. They smell something
burning, but figure it's the candles from the shrine out front.
They look down and Bo says "What the hell" (hey, that's
Roman's line), (Bo went inside the house for Abe's briefcase, if
there was something wrong, he would have seen it then, right?)
They find the files were burned in the fireplace and realize the
killer beat them there. (you would think the house would have
been guarded by the cops until they had searched it for clues,
wouldn't you?) Roman finds a matchbook from Tuscany and says
they'll do what Abe would have done, follow the next clue.
Preview:
Belle pulls her top off and tells Shawn to make love to her as we
see them on the couch. Rex tells Mimi he's a freak and she should
get the hell out of his life. Tony wants Lexie to move in with
him and Celeste says absolutely NOT. John wants to set himself up
for the killer to come after him next. Bo said he'll either get
his wish or be the next victim (aha, that's probably how the
rumors about Drake being let go got started).

The Salem P.D. looks for clues as Tek joins the force, Belle is
rebuffed once more, Mimi regrets sex without love and Lexie makes
a move.
At The Loft, Belle wakes up next to a sleeping
Shawn, gets up to get the morning paper. One look at the
headline, "Commander Carver Slain", and she takes off
her purity ring, puts it in a drawer, takes off her shirt, and
kisses Shawn awake. She is all over him, wanting him to have sex
with her, but Shawn keeps a cool head, and goes to take a cold
shower.
Across the way, Mimi wakes up next to Rex, commenting on how
sweet he looks asleep.(BTW, both guys have the obligatory
shirtless scenes today, LOL) She gets up, finds a book of matches
from Tuscany. Tex wakes up, claims he was planning on cooking her
dinner tonite, candles, and then candles around the bathroom. (Yep,
just the way one celebrates a death). Mimi wants none of that,
talks to him about his headaches. He claims he has been to
doctors, they find nothing wrong. At Mimi's questions, he finally
admits that he doesn't remember where he was when he was missing
at the church. Mimi says she should never have had sex with him,
it is all he wants (you got that right, Meems). Rex whines about
being created in a petrie dish, being a freak, etc. They are soon
kissing. Later, Mimi is dressed, talking of looking for a job,
& claims her Love Is Blind money is tied up in investments,
she has a cash flow problem. Rex offers to give her money, but
she refuses. They argue a bit, and he leaves to go talk to Tony.
Bonnie arrives, telling Mimi she took the condoms for her own
good, so she could snag the rich boy. She tells Mimi to never
refuse money when a guy offers it, and to get some for her, too.
(What a piece of work Bonnie is!)
At The Cop Shop
Bo, John & Roman talk about catching whoever killed Abe.
(Folks, I do miss him already, sniff!) They talk of the fire at
Abe's house, how the killer managed to get past the police
barrier (but Roman, that is not hard at all!) and set the fire
that destroyed all Abe's personal files and whatever was on his
hard drive. (Anyone curious as to how, I mean was it in a waste
basket, the fireplace... what? The house did not burn down, not
even a fire truck in sight. They BURNED his hard drive? ) Tek
comes in, saying they found a fingerprint on the Tuscany
matchbook found at Abe's, and are working on it. He also says he
resigned the ISA, and is assigned to Salem P.D. They all look
over the pictures of the suspects on the bulletin board. A cop
brings in the newspaper, with a statement from John in it, saying
he knows who the killer is. Bo, Roman & Tek get on his case
saying he had no authority, but John claims he said it as citizen
John Black. Tek says they are trying to recover any data on Abe's
HD that may still be there, Roman says he is partnering Tek with
John. Both Bo and John leave.
Later, Tek is at the computer, with Roman looking on, trying to
match the fingerprint on the matchbook with the suspects. He
shows Roman 2 pictures of Tuscany matchbooks, one slightly
different than the other. A new shipment came in the day before,
and they were just put out last night. The one found at Abe's is
a new one, meaning the killer picked it up last night and ALL the
suspects were at Tuscany last night, except Rex. But Cassie was
there, so she could have gotten it for him. Tek runs the print,
but it matches NONE of the suspects, so he runs a general check.
Turns out it matches Tuscany owner, Maggie Horton.
At The Carver Home, Lexie arrives with Celeste to see
people leaving flowers & notes at a sort of shrine in front
of the house. A photographer is snapping their pictures, as Lexie
explains to Celeste that the police are doing that in case the
killer returns to the scene. Tony joins them. Lexie talks about
calling Brandon to tell him his father is dead, crying over the
fact that they had just made their peace, cemented their
relationship. (Where the heck is Fay?) They go inside, to find
the house still decorated with balloons, etc. Lexie questions
Martin, who is at Abe's desk, as to what happened, and he
explains about the killer coming and burning Abe's personal files.
Lexie is horrified to know the killer got in her house, but Tony
uses the opportunity to insist Lexie come live with him. Celeste
says NO. Just then Bonnie comes from the kitchen, (in a maid's
uniform!) offers her sympathies, but quickly leaves when Celeste
says they want some privacy. Celeste and Tony argue, as Celeste
says she will care for Lexie and take her to her place. Tony
insults Celeste, reminding her of her former servant status,
& also mistress to his father. He begins a threat, but Lexie
interrupts, agreeing to move in Tony's house.
Later, they all arrive at DiMansion, Mabel expresses her
sympathies as she lets them in. As Lexie & Celeste come down
from checking the nursery, Lexie says this will be better for
Theo, as he perhaps won't be looking for Abe to tuck him in or
come in for his 2 a.m. feedings. (Theo STILL has 2 a.m. feedings?
Isn't he around 6 months old or so? Well, all babies are
different, and I am being too, too picky, lol) Lexie &
Celeste talk of how a DiMera is always a top suspect, when Rex
comes in. He immediately goes on the defensive. Celeste reminds
him that she was around when Stefano turned John into the Pawn,
and always wanted a killing machine. Perhaps now he created one.
Rex blurts out that he would take a lie detector test, but Tony
shouts an emphatic NO! When questioned, he says they known to be
inaccurate. He takes Rex into the library, where he tells him in
no uncertain terms, to NEVER take a lie detector test.
At Salem Place Mickey & Maggie are having coffee at
the Java Café, trying to figure out why Abe's last word was her
name. She cannot think of any reason, and knows nothing that
would help. Mickey thinks perhaps she knows something, and
doesn't realize it.
Shawn runs into his father, and tells him about Belle. He talks
of quitting school, his part-time job, getting a full time job
and marrying Belle now. Bo gives him some fatherly advice,
talking about John setting himself up as a target. Shawn decided
to rethink his decision.
Back at the loft, Belle takes the purity ring out of the drawer,
and thinks about Shawn. Mimi comes in and they talk of their
boyfriends. Mimi says it was a mistake for her to have sex with
Rex, says she loves Rex, but he really does not love her, and she
regrets having sex without love. She tells Belle that she &
Shawn have the real thing between them, and to hold onto it.
At The Penthouse John goes up to take a shower. We see a
long black coat, black pants covered legs ascend the stairs. As
John rinses his face off in the sink, a black leather gloved hand
reaches out to touch his arm. He turns with a yell. Freeze frame.
Preview:
Mimi telling Belle she's so lucky, then asking if Belle &
Shawn broke up. Cassie telling Shawn to try having sex with her
"It'll be their little secret". Tek at the computer, as
Roman says he doesn't believe it, while John says this person is
our killer. All hell is about to break loose. Tony asking
Marlena if this person could be dangerous, as Marlena says that
this person could kill their victim. LOL, guess we know who
John's "stalker" is, huh?

Belle and Mimi discuss their love lives, as Cassie tries to start
one of her one (and you won't believe what she does), Marlena
returns home to sad news, Caroline offers Shawn advice on his
love life, the cops put together a profile of the killer, and
Belle finds herself in danger.
John's "Stalker"
At the cop shop, Roman looks at Abe's picture and then at their
suspect board. Note that now Maggie's picture has been added
under the heading of "clues". Tek comes in with a
timeline on a huge board as they look it over and worry about
John making that statement in the paper. Meanwhile, at the
penthouse, John is shaving as someone dressed in black approaches.
He whirls around to find it is Marlena. She gets the giggles
about scaring him but John isn't very amused. She chatters on
about her mom and Eric as John tries to break the bad news to her.
He finally blurts out that Abe is dead. He gives her the details
as a saddened Marlena talks about how Abe was one of her first
friends in Salem. He explains that he didn't want to call her and
tell her and ruin her trip. She decides that she must go and see
Lexie and Theo. He tells her that they are that the DiMera
Mansion and both are troubled by that. So Marlena decides that
she is going over, even though John tries to stop her. He tells
her that even though they have no evidence, he believes that Tony
could be the killer. He tries to talk her out of it, but she is
determined to go over and offer her condolences. Roman calls John
and asks him to come down to the station for his help. Marlena
begs him to be careful.
Later, John is at the station as he tells Roman about Marlena
being home. They talk about how Abe was such a good man and
ironically served as best man for both of them at their weddings.
John tells Roman that Marlena was determined to go and see Lexie
and neither of them think it was a good idea. Neither of them
like the idea of Lexie living at DiMansion either and remember
the last time she lived there. John worries how Marlena will
react when she finds out that 2 of her children are prime
suspects. Later, Tek is with them and has a profile ready as all
three of them look at the screen. Roman can't believe his eyes as
John says if this IS the killer, all hell is about to break loose.
At The Loft
Mimi and Belle discuss their respective boyfriends. Mimi confides
that she feels that Rex doesn't love her, only the sex. She tells
Belle that she and Shawn are the real deal and she regrets sex
without love. Mimi notices the missing ring and asks if they
broke up as Belle explains. She says that she wil never marry
Shawn, for fear of going through what Lexie is right now. Mimi
can't believe what she is hearing and urges Belle to hold onto
her values and wishes she had a guy like Shawn to love her. Belle
asks Mimi if she could just start over with Rex, but she doesn't
think that is possible. She feels that Rex love the sex, not her.
Belle tells her that if Rex doesn't love her, it is time to get a
new boyfriend but Mimi WANTS Rex to love her and thinks that
maybe in time, he will. Meanwhile, Rex has stumbled into the
hallway (having one of his headaches). Mimi has to leave to go
and look for work, so at the door, Belle tells Mimi not to let
Rex just use her and if she feels that if she doesn't get what
she needs from him to just dump him. (Of course Rex overhears
this and mumbles "you nosey bitch"). Inside, Belle
decides to email Chloe. She tells her about Abe's murder, how it
has affected her and asks for her advice concerning Shawn and sex.
After she finishes she is getting herself a drink and
accidentally drops her purity ring down the kitchen sink drain.
She goes and gets her "how to" book and decides to take
apart the drain. She goes and finds the wrench from the toolbox
her dad gave her and begins to work. Meanwhile, Rex has slipped
into her apartment and is standing behind her.
At The Java Café
Caroline finds a down and out Shawn (her grandson, that is) there
and he tells her that she is a site for sore eyes. After ordering
him coffee and a scone, they chat. She asks what is wrong and he
tells her about Belle's attitude since Abe's death. Caroline asks
if she is wanting to have sex, which clearly embarrasses Shawn.
He can't believe he is talking to his grandmother about this, but
explains. He tells her of his plans to quit school and elope and
she gives him a good talking to about it. She offers him advice,
that he help Belle stay true to herself and reminds him that love
and commitment go hand in hand. After she leaves for the pub,
Cassie comes up behind him and kisses him on the neck. Thinking
it is Belle, he turns around and says her name. Cassie says
"Belle who?" She comes onto him and wants to know what
is wrong. But he offers no details. She says he looks like he
needs a "pick-me-up". She offers sex, saying it will be
their little secret, but Shawn flatly turns her down and goes to
leave. But before he does, she pulls up her top and exposes
herself to him (right there in front of God and all of Salem
Place! Geez, what a ho). He pulls her blouse down and refuses her.
She keeps coming on to him and begins to rub her hand up his leg,
saying he is rock hard and asks how many times a day he works out.
He reminds her that he loves Belle just as Mimi walks up calling
her a slut. They argue and Mimi tells her to leave. As she turns
to go, she tells Shawn to think about her offer. Mimi tells Shawn
that he has to act fast or he may lose Belle forever.
Earlier At DiMansion
Tony is on the phone with "father" updating him on
Lexie's moving in. He wants to talk to him about worried he is
about Rex's headaches and wants to get help. Tony asks why he and
Cassie were created but apparently he doesn't get an answer as
"father" hangs up on him. Tony mutters "damn you
too" and hangs up. Meanwhile, Rex and Cassie are in the
foyer and she point blank asks him if he killed Abe Carver. Rex
warns her to keep her mouth shut, especially around Lexie. She
gets angry and storms off (she goes to the Java Café after this).
Tony walks in telling Rex he wants the truth as well. Tony
questions him about his recent behavior as Rex gets very
defensive and storms off as well. Outside, he begins to have one
of his headaches. (He leaves and goes back to the loft).
After Rex leaves, Marlena arrives to be greeted by Tony. She
explains she is there to see Lexie and Theo, NOT him. They talk
about Abe's death as Marlena calls the killer a "coward".
Tony talks about Marlena spending more time with their children
as she tries to explain it is hard to keep up with them but she
does her best. She wants to go and visit with Lexie, but Tony
tells her that she and Theo are asleep. He asks her a
hypothetical question about one of his workers (really Rex)
having bad headaches and mood swings and memory loss. He asks if
this person could be driven to kill. She says she can't say
without first talking with this person, but it sounds like this
person could attack without provocation and yes could even kill
their victim, as we see Rex pick up the wrench and hovering over
Belle.
Preview:
Tony asks Marlena "Where are you going?" She says to
the police station to see John. Tony grabs her by the arm and
says "You can't tell him about our son!". Belle asks
herself "Where is that stupid wrench?" as she turns to
see Rex standing over her and screams. Shawn tells Mimi that if
Rex isn't treating her like the catch she is, dump that jerk
TODAY. Maggie is outside Tuscany looking frightened. She yells
"Who's there?", turns and then screams.

Kudos to Suzanne Rogers (Maggie) today as the police confirm to
Maggie that she's a potential target, Marlena and Tony agree to
keep Rex from being a suspect, Shawn convinces Mimi she deserves
better then Rex is giving her.
Salem Place
Maggie reassures Mickey on her cellphone at Salem Place that she
is fine. Mimi talks with Shawn at Java Café about Belle and her
reaction to Abe's murder by "living for the moment".
Shawn rationalizes how waiting is important if you love someone
enough. Mimi wishes her love with Rex was as strong. They joke
about how well they know each other and can talk about anything.
He reminds her about when she tripped in second grade at the
museum and a 4 story t-rex toppled over and he took the blame for
it. She figures she owes him big time for that. He asks more
about Rex and she levels about her insecurity about Rex's
affection for her. As she starts putting herself down, Shawn
stops her and tells her if Rex isn't treating her like the catch
she is, she should dump him and find someone who will. She
figures Shawn is right about that. She admits loving Rex, but
didn't figure it would last that long anyway. She never pictured
herself living to a ripe old age. She's more like her dad, no
dreams, just one to fade into the background. Shawn tells her
that Belle told him about her dad leaving and reassures her that
she's nothing like that. He tells her how good a friend she is to
both him and Belle and they won't let her disappear and she
deserves the best. Holding her hand, he asks if she'll be okay.
She hugs him in thanks and is going to get a job application at
Java Café and call Rex to tell him she's moving on. Alone, Shawn
sits down and plays with his purity ring. He says sweethearts
forever and how he and Belle have to get this settled for good.
At DiMansion
Marlena tells Tony that yes, the person he's describing could be
extremely dangerous and attack without provocation and even could
kill. Tony agrees to keep a close eye on the employee in
question, but she remembers Rex's headaches and asks if it's
their son they're talking about. She questions if Rex could be
responsible for Bo and Hope's attack, and maybe even Abe's murder.
Tony stops her as she leaves to see John at the police station.
He convinces her not to tell John by reminding her that Rex is
her son (no, he's actually one of the other suspect's son and the
man who's leading the investigation). She tells Tony they have to
get Rex some help. She can't do it because she's his mother. Tony
makes her promise to help Rex and to forget the ethical part. She
tells him if Rex has hurt anyone, he will have to face the
consequences, her son or not. Later Tony vows not to let his son
self destruct.
Cop Shop
Tek brings up a profile on his computer from ISA headquarters in
London. All 3 of them worry if it's true and John thinks there
must be a mistake. He tells Tek to ask ISA to resend the
information again in case the email was corrupted. John and Roman
fear if the profile were true, one of them (looking at the board)
might be a serial killer and it's only a matter of time before
they hit again. Roman explains a serial killer attacks out of a
need for power or fear. They worry about Maggie's safety and need
to get her in there.
They must have called Maggie as she arrives alone at the station
and they take her into Roman's office (she tells them that
Mickey's in court). Roman gives her a glass of water and she's
surprised to see her picture on Roman's board and nervously
spills some. Tek pops in with the repeat of ISA's message and
J&R go out to get it (where's Bo and Hope during all of this?)
ISA is 99.9% sure their profile is correct and John fears Maggie
may be the next victim. They return to the office to Maggie and
admit their concerns. She can't figure out why Abe said her name
and they hand her the matchbook from Tuscany (in a plastic bag).
They fear the suspect ate at Tuscany the night before and she
knows they are the new matches. Dave put the matches out before
dinner. She realizes Roman and John knew about the matches being
new and how they brought her down there to warn her that she
might be the next victim. John suggests she keep this
conversation under wraps. Maggie fears that it's too late as all
the suspects know she knows something. She reminds them how they
were in the hospital waiting room and about what happened in the
parking lot at Tuscany. She tells him how someone was in the
bushes and overheard her and Mickey talking. What if it was the
killer?? Roman offers her 24/7 protection (yeah, we know how
dependable those SPuD's are, ha)..but she refuses. Crying, she
leaves for Tuscany to get ready for the dinner crowd. Roman warns
her to stay on alert (how about putting a plainclothes cop at
Tuscany, Roman!). Both guys hug her and John tells her not to
wait for an invitation or appointment if she needs them, to come
straight there. She leaves, choking sobs, agreeing to do so. John
tells Roman that's why he made himself a target, to help take the
heat off anyone else the whacko is after. Marlena walks in,
surprised to hear that, saying that's not going to happen. She
won't let him do that. She asks Roman to leave so she and John
can talk privately and he does so. She questions John why he's
doing this and he tells her he knows how they play this game.
Roman figures Abe was trying to give them a clue when saying
Maggie's name.
At The Loft
Rex stands over Belle with the wrench in hand. She turns and
screams. She yells at him for sneaking up on her like that and he
hears her voice deep and muffled, not coherently. He finally
comes out of it and said he was just going to help her, that's
all. He admits being zoned out due to one of his headaches. She
has him sit down and gets him some aspirin (that he chugs like
candy). She thought she had locked the loft door, but he tells
her no, it wasn't closed and they have a similar problem with
their door. He wants to go find Meems, but Belle wants to talk to
him about his sex life with Mimi. She tells him how Mimi loves
the way he makes love to her, but feels disconnected from him and
not like he loves her. She tells him point blank about Mimi
needing more then just sex, but needs love and affection as well.
Show her the real Rex. He takes off and in the hallway promises
to show Mimi the real Rex, something she can take to her grave.
Rex sits in the dark in his apartment as the phone rings. He lets
the machine get it and it's Tony leaving a message asking Rex to
call. Tony prays he's not too late. We see the lamp turned on and
sitting on the floor. Mimi calls and leaves a short message on
Rex's answering machine, saying she's on the way over and they
need to give each other some space. She's coming over to say
goodbye for good. Holding the lamp (sure is dark in that loft
even though it's bright daylight outside, whatsupwiththat?) under
his face to illuminate it, Rex says that he'll be waiting for
Mimi and he'll give her just what she deserves.
Belle finishes her task and retrieves her purity ring. She and
the ring are greasy and she figures the purity ring went right
down the drain where it belongs. As she washes off the ring, she
remembers Mimi telling her to wait until their honeymoon. She
doesn't think she can wait any longer. Shawn arrives and Belle
hugs him. She can't trust in the future, not now, maybe not ever.
He leaves and she yells she was right and love really does hurt.
In the hallway he glances at the closed door and goes to the
stairwell. Mimi arrives and says it's now or never. Rex sits in
the dark as Mimi knocks but Rex doesn't answer the door, so Mimi
unlocks the door with her key, saying she won't put it off. She
calls out Rex's name in the dark loft, but he replies not to call
him Rex
Tuscany
Maggie goes to unlock the door to Tuscany and hears children
laughing (same ones Alice heard). She walks around the bushes for
the children and goes to the delivery/dumpster area (now, would
YOU snoop around like that after just being warned you're a
potential victim??) The children stop laughing and recite the
following song: (thanks to Barb for emailing the words from her
closed captioning as it's hard to understand them).
Salem Stalker took a gun....
And gave Abe Carver a deadly one
And when they saw what they had done,
They gave Maggie Horton another one
Maggie holds her head and screams.

John and Marlena are talking as she reminds him that she felt
about Abe as part of her family (Sami). John tells her someone
murdered Abe, but Marlena said it's not one of her children.
Shawn tells Belle he's willing to do anything to keep her from
being unhappy. She tells him there's nothing anyone can do. Mimi
calls out Rex's name. He's sitting in the dark in his boxers with
his pants at his ankles and tells her not to call him Rex. Kate
tells Sami that her father knows she's innocent. Sami tells Kate
that once her father figures out it was her, he'll put her in
jail where she belongs.
Linda
