Episode : #9638
Tape Date : Various
Director : Phil Sogard
Sami gets word from Brandon, Lucas tries to reason with her but she
doesn't hear him, Lexie and Jen continue to worry over their
husbands, Rex has another attack, Mimi confronts her mother, and Abe
gets a warning from a mystery person. (Colors continue to play a
dominant role, particularly in the Lucas/Sami/Tony
scenes).
Lucas & Sami
Lucas (in a black shirt) is at the Java Café talking to Kate
on the phone. He is shuffling through his mail and notices a letter
that he got by mistake. It is addressed to Sami and the return
address is B. Walker. Meanwhile, Sami (in a rose colored top) is at
her apartment, still mumbling and grumbling about John and Kate. She
gets a call from (the new) Will ready to come home. He asks if she
and Lucas are still getting along. Her doorbell rings and she tells
him bye, only to open the door and find Lucas. She is nasty to him
and tells him to leave, until he pulls out the letter and she
snatches it away. She rips it open and reads it, then drops it to the
table. Lucas picks it up and reads it, Brandon is ripping her over
her behavior towards Abe and Lexie and tells her to just sign the
papers and send them back. She is furious and launches into a tirade
against Abe and Lexie. She calls Lexie a bitch and a phony and says
she makes her want to throw up. She continues to rant about them,
saying she wishes both of them would drop dead. Lucas tries to point
out that it was all her fault, but she doesn't want to hear it and
falls on the sofa crying. He offers to help her however he can, but
she says she has never been happy since she was a little girl and her
family was together. She goes on about Marlena and John and their
precious little Isabella. Lucas points out that Marlena is in love
with John and that Roman has moved on as well and that they will
NEVER get back together, for her to just give it up. This launches
Sami into a tirade about Kate as well, calling her names. Lucas shuts
her up, telling her that everyone is happy and to just leave it
alone. But Sami vows to change all that. Lucas says she needs to
concentrate on Will and accept reality. Her parents have moved on,
she should as well.
Meanwhile, Over At DiMansion
There is a replay of Tony's phone call from "father". (BTW, Tony is
still dressed in all black). He says that by the time the people of
Salem learn that Stefano DiMera is alive and well, it will be too
late. Tony takes out an envelope of photos and asks Stefano what his
plans are. He lays the pictures out on a table and looks at them. The
first four are Kate, Roman, John and Marlena. The camera pans to show
LOTS of pictures. I saw Jack, Jennifer, Alice, Lexie, Abe, Bo, Hope,
Shawn, Celeste, I think the entire cast was there on the table. Tony
talks about his plan being so complex and how it will destroy the
lives of all the people of Salem, at least those that survive. Tony
tells him to count on him and that Sami will be his ally, and that he
will NOT be disappointed in her.
Later, Tony arrives at Sami's apartment (Lucas is still there) and
invites her to dinner. He even has an outfit for her. She grabs it
and rushes off to try it on. While she is gone, Lucas asks Tony what
he is up to. Tony says that he just likes Sami and asks Lucas why is
HE there. Lucas says that Sami is a loose cannon and that he just
likes to keep an eye on her for Will's sake. Tony asks if that is the
ONLY reason. Sami comes back with a sexy RED dress on (which Lucas
finds inappropriate and doesn't want her to go). But Sami goes
anyway, with a smile on her face.
At The Lockhart Place
Bonnie is busy working on her scratch-off lottery tickets and puffing
away as Mimi comes in furious with her. She rants about her account
being empty and learns that it was her mother that did it. Bonnie
tells her that she invested the money and Mimi is devastated. Bonnie
says that she needs to win the lottery so she can afford to open a
country western club and that way she can provide for her and Conner
(I guess they remembered that Mimi has a younger brother). Mimi can't
believer her crazy schemes as Bonnie sings a few lines of a new song
she has written. Mimi finds one lottery ticket unscratched on the
table and does it herself, and wins 2 bucks. Mimi is heartbroken over
it all as Bonnie promises to make it up to her. She asks if Rex could
lend them some money but Mimi storms out in tears.
Over At Belle's Loft
There is a replay of Belle, Rex and the towel. He startles her as she
yells "what the hell are you doing?" Later, she is in a robe and gets
a call from Shawn telling her he is at the Carvers and will be there
in a little while. Rex wants to talk to her about Shawn, telling her
that he only wants to get along with him. He swears that he had
nothing to do with the attack on Bo and Hope and wants Belle's help
in convincing Shawn of that. Rex has his hands on Belle's shoulders
when Shawn comes in, asking what is going on. He tells Shawn that he
wants to work things out, but Shawn wants none of that, telling him
that he and Tony are the #1 suspects in the attack. Rex storms out as
Shawn and Belle argue over Shawn's behavior. Rex goes across the hall
and seems to be having one of his headaches. He picks up a lamp and
smashes it against the wall. Meanwhile, Shawn and Belle continue to
argue as Belle points out that Rex IS her brother and that Shawn has
no concrete proof that he was responsible for the attack. Shawn vows
to keep an eye on that "creep" day and night. He says that he thinks
he is a ticking time bomb and asks what if he was programmed to kill.
Mimi arrives in the hall and goes to Rex's apartment. She lets her
self in and finds the broken lamp. She has flashbacks of some of the
things he has done and said and begins to wonder if he really is
responsible for the attack. He climbs through the window as she asks
where he was and she notices that he has mud on his feet. He tells
her that he is glad to see her and kisses her.
Over At The Carver House
Shawn delivers the wills to Abe and Jack as Jennifer and Lexie
overhear, both wanting explanations. Jack and Jen go out side as she
asks what is going on. He claims that he is only being responsible,
looking out for her and Abby. Inside, Abe is trying to explain to
Lexie as well, but she does NOT appreciate his lying to her and she
is quite disturbed. Shawn bids farewell to all and leaves. Outside,
Jen informs Jack that they are having dinner with the Carvers and
wants him to fix his special burgers. Abby arrives as Jack kids
around with her and offers to teach her his secret recipe. Jen
overhears and asks what is going on, he has always guarded that with
his life. Inside, Abe has shivers (as Sami utters the line about him
and Lexie being dead, see above). He says (to himself) that it feels
as if someone just walked over his grave. Jennifer sends Abby inside
as she questions Jack, but he doesn't say much. Lexie walks out as
Jack decides to go inside to help Abe. Jen and Lexie both worry about
their husbands as Jen says that they need to pray for their safety.
Inside, Jack and Abe talk about how neither of them knew the other
was having a new will drawn up. Abe offers Jack an "out" but he
declines, saying he wants to be there when Tony goes down. He asks
Jack to be careful and to remember just WHO they are dealing with,
just as Jen and Lexie walk in. Lexie says she would like to know that
as well. Abe and Jack make themselves scarce and take of. Jen
comments that they (she and Lexie sure know how to clear a room).
Later, we see Abe in a dark alley as he hears a muffled voice (who
claims to be a friend) call out his name. He says "He's back!" and
then rushes off. Abe chases after him, but loses him. He asks "WHO'S
back?" then he takes out his flashlight and shines it on a wall. In
large RED letters (blood?) it says S T E P H A N O. Freeze frame on
Abe's face
Preview:
Lexie tells Abe that his lead is dead, why is he wasting his time.
She also asks him if he believes that her father is really alive.
Alice, Mickey and Maggie are sitting on a bench. Maggie asks "where
did THAT come from?" Alice says "Someone we love is in danger".
Abe walks into Jack and Jen's bedroom (dressed like a tramp). Jen
asks "Abigail Joanna, WHAT do you have on?". Brady holds Nicole (they
are on the bed) as she says "I've made one mistake after another."
Victor storms in saying "You've made one hell of a mistake right
now".

TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 9, 2003
In the Deveraux bedroom, Jack and Jennifer are in bed. She lies on her side awake and thinking, while he lies on the other side silently working on his laptop computer. Both are in pj mode. When he hears her stir, he quietly puts the pc on the floor. She knows he's up to something, but he bends down and puts a breakfast tray on her lap (with flowers from the neighbors yard this time, ha!). She commented on their fun evening at the Carvers and begs him to give up this investigation, but his look indicates that's not going to happen. They go under the covers to play around as Abby shouts she's outta there. J&J remember its the first day of school and call Abby to their room to see what she's wearing. She walks in wearing a sports bra type black halter, bare midriff, short red skirt, red nylons and wrote all over her new white tennis shoes plus accessories (jewelry). Jack agrees with Jen that no daughter of his is starting 7th grade dressed like that. He approves of the shoes (after Abby reminded them of free speech, saying he might do the same to his)but the outfit had to be changed. Jen tells Abby to put the T-shirt on UNDER the top she's wearing and gets out of bed to supervise. Abby tells them its outrageous, stomps and leaves. Jen tells Jack she needs him around to help through Abby's teen years and Jack tells her that hell wait right there (in bed) for her, which suits her just fine. He pulls his laptop off the floor once he's alone, anxious to find what Abe's working on.
Abe is at home and in full suit already as he remembers his encounter in the alley the night before where Stefano's name was written in red. Lexie comes downstairs and finds him looking at a picture of Stefano and asks why. He tells her about what happened and how the person said HE'S BACK and finding Stefano's name on the wall. Lexie figures its creepy being her fathers dead. Abe rationalizes its probably just a sicko, but admits he has to investigate every lead, no matter how far fetched it might seem. He changes the subject to his retirement papers that arrived. He needs her signature in a few places. She notes he opted for the reduced pension so his survivor would get full benefits. She mentions her own pension (guess she means the hospital now that she's back there) She finally agrees to sign it and asks when it'll be in place.
Salem Place
Abe goes to Salem Place and meets Jack. They talk about their wife's
uneasiness with their investigation. Abe shows Stefano's picture to
Jack and tells him about what happened. Jack pictures the headlines
if Stefano was still alive. Abe said every clue to Colin's case leads
back to the Kiriakis mansion. Jack remembers when he and Jen saw
Colin taking pictures in the bushes of Nicole. Jack asks who Abe
suspects, but Abe's not saying. Jack wonders if their wives are right
to worry about them. Abe tells Jack to go back to his tv show, its
safer. Hell handle it on his own. Alone, Jack laughs to himself,
saying Abe's crazy.
Jen and Lexie also rendezvous at Java cafe (they brought back Salem Place with a vengeance, didn't they?). Lexie asks about Alice and as they're talking about her, Alice walks up in a beautiful floral blouse, saying its not nice to talk behind someone's back. Maggie and Mickey walk up and Alice knows they're watching her. Lexie and Jen slip off as Lexie's a guest on In The House being taped there at Salem Place (should be Out of the House, not In the House) Lexie introduces a former patient (Mrs. Manning) of hers that suffered from depression. Jen apologizes for not speaking beforehand, but figured it would be more spontaneous if they hadn't. The show starts and Jen introduces Dr. Carver, and tells about her research into Medical Outreach at the hospital. When Jen announces the shows subject, depression and how its prevalent in seniors, we see Alice looking a little disgusted, haha. Lexie tells how Mrs. Manning lost her husband a few years ago to cancer and was depressed after 45 years of marriage to lose her husband. The woman brings out a picture of Albert, her late husband to show to Lexie and Jennifer. Lexie sees Abe's face in the picture and Jen sees Jacks. She tells them how her husband called her at noon everyday to just say he loved her. Jen asks how do you go on without your husband. She tells them how her husband had just retired and they had hoped to move by the ocean. He died before she got home from the store one day. Jen and Lexie listen as the woman tells how depressed she got when she realized her husband was never coming home again, not able to get out of her bed in the morning. Lexie explains how Mrs. Manning came to the clinic and her attitude about dealing with your own problems, but Lexie changed her mind. Jen and Lexie exchange glances as they say that losing your husband at any age must be very difficult.
Back on the bench watching the show, Alice gets a chill and Mickey offers to get her sweater. She tells him its 80 degrees, but he and Maggie get a cool breeze as well Alice said someone they love is in danger. Jen and Lexie join them and talk about Alice's theory about a ghost saying someone's name and they're doomed. They talk about all the weird things happening. Lexie tells her about Abe's annuity package and Jen concerned about Jacks will. Maggie and Mickey leave and she knows something's wrong and wants to know what. Maggie fearfully asks if he saw Tom and did he say his name? Mickey tells her no, he didn't, but Abe did. In tears, Maggie asks what happened and Mickey tells her. Both Abe and Jack get phone calls about Colin's murder.
At the Kiriakis mansion, Nico reports to Victor, saying that Mrs. K. spent the night in her bedroom. Victor tells himself if she tries to get away again that shell find herself doing a life sentence for the murder of Colin Murphy. Upstairs Nicole is having a nightmare of when she shot Colin. Brady breaks into her room as she's crying loudly saying she didn't mean to. Brady sits on the bed (shirtless, but pants on), comforting her. They look into each others eyes as she admits making mistakes in her life and she wishes she could do some things over. Victor walks into the open doorway saying she's making one hell of a mistake now. He orders her to cover up, thanks Brady for coming to his wife's rescue and reminding him of his meeting, hinting its time to leave. After Bradys gone he accuses Nicole of faking a nightmare and posing for Bradys rescue. They exchange insults Yada yada, yawn..
Brady goes to take a hot shower and turns on the water, but thinks about Nicole. We see her slip up behind him (hey, the waters running, don't waste it!!) and they start kissing. Back to reality, he's surprised at the fantasy he had. He later comes downstairs in his suit and Victor insists he wait and talk to him. Brady doesn't want to be late, but Victor reminds him who his boss is. Nicole comes downstairs and Victor orders her to go shopping and spend his money. She leaves, wondering who she can get to help her kill Victor (that's what got you into the mess you're in Nicole.) Victor asks Brady how it felt when he found Nicole in his arms. Brady insists he thinks of Nicole as Victors wife. Victor tells Brady hands off Nicole, his wife belongs in his bed (gee, cant understand why she's not in your bed the way you treat her Vic). Brady remembers Nicole on their day of fun and tells Victor he's right, he needs to start seeing other women.
Nicole's at Java cafe and hears a noise. She flashes back to shooting Colin. She looks down and sees red all over her hand (from the ketchup bottle in her other hand) and freaks. Abe walks up and takes her arm.

Episode : #9640
Tape Date : Various
Director : Roger Inman
Separately, both Abe & Jack get closer to the truth about Colin
Murphy's murder, Nicole cries a lot on Brady's shoulder, &
Caroline meets with Victor.
In The Loft Mimi tells Belle about her money being
all gone, but doesn't squeal on her mom. She cries and sobs over her
misfortune (how does that song go... "if it weren't for bad luck, I'd
have no luck at all"... lolol) and then they talk of their
friendship, reminiscing over lemonade stands at age 7, their homes,
etc. Belle says she has enough to cover the rent, they are friends,
and she will hear no more about it. The bank probably made a mistake
and will find it. They talk about trying to find a way to get Rex and
Shawn to get along better.
Meanwhile, Philip & Shawn are having a nice one on one game of
basketball, when Rex butts in, (in his usual nasty mode) telling them
how they are doing it all wrong, the laws of physics always prevail,
blah, blah, blah. He & Shawn go one on one and when the score is
14-0, Shawn's favor, Philip takes Shawn's place, and also scores a
few shots. Rex says they use trickery and are sneaky, but they insist
the game is played that way. (And if Rex ever watched one on TV, he'd
know that!) They go to the lockers, Shawn & Rex are belligerent,
of course (man, this is getting soooooo old!), Phil & Shawn
leave, as Rex slam a locker door, saying he doesn't want to be a
Brady.
They all arrive back at the loft, when Belle greets them all by
saying they are ALL going to have a dinner party, all will have fun,
get along, good times, etc.
Over At Salem Place, Jack literally bumps into Caroline, who
tells him Shawn has gone to Ireland, a rather emotional journey, as
the family is moving Colin's body into the family crypt. She comments
on Colin having so much promise, dying so young, & Jack tells her
he is investigating Colin's murder. Caroline immediately gets worried
for Jack's safety, says Jack should let the police handle it, trying
to talk him out of it, but Jack is pretty confident of his
methods.
Meanwhile, Brady & Victor are standing on a corner, watching all
the girls go by. (yep, another old song lyric, lol). Vic chastises
Brady for not noticing them, but Brady doesn't intend picking any up
in a mall. They spot Abe talking to Nicole, and go over before, as
Vic says, she says something she shouldn't. At the Java Café,
we see a replay of Nicole putting ketchup on her fries, hearing the
backfire, seeing ketchup on her hand, flashing back to struggling
with the gun and someone on the terrace on her wedding day, getting
upset, and Abe grabbing her arm. He asks her if the backfire sounded
like a shot, and the ketchup reminded her of blood. As she nods her
head, Victor & Brady come up, with Vic immediately telling Abe to
stop strong arming his wife. Brady says Nicole was probably reminded
of when her father got shot, and she watched him die, bleeding, from
a chest wound. She agrees. Abe doesn't buy it, but leaves. Vic orders
Nicole to go home, Nico has the car, but Brady insists he will take
her as he has to pick something up. Victor says he will be home in a
bit.
Victor & Caroline are sitting on a bench talking. She says she is
concerned about him, something is bothering him, and is it his
marriage. He tells her of a problem developing between Nicole and his
grandson, Caroline suggests he ask Brady to leave. Victor won't do
that, family means too much. He talks of how he is not close to Bo,
of course, Isabella is dead, he lost Philip to the Marines and knows
he would not want to come into the business, and his only hope now is
grandson Brady. (guess Justin no longer counts now that he is living
in Texas, huh? But then, only a nephew. LOL) He tells Caroline how
much she still means to him, how she was the love of his life, and
his life would be so different if she had chosen to come with him,
rather than stay with Shawn. Caroline is sorry he still has these
feelings, and hopes things work out now for him.
Jack meets with the caterer from the Kiriakis wedding, who has list
of all the workers from that evening. All have already given
statements to police except one, Eileen Parker, who abruptly left in
the middle of everything. When he checked, she had gone very suddenly
to Paris! But he learned she is back, and will call for her to meet
Jack. Later, Jack is waiting for Eileen, and has a few funny moments
with strange women he thinks are her. (Oh, do love that Matt!) Eileen
arrives, saying she just returned last night, and just heard about
the murder that night. She tells Jack that she overheard Nicole and
Victor arguing about him inviting Colin to the wedding, as she was
bringing up a bottle of champagne. Nicole came down, saw her, asked
if she heard them. She admitted she did, Nik gave her a wad of money,
said to pack her things and leave, forget she heard anything. Later,
as she was leaving, she heard Nicole arguing with another man on the
terrace. Did not know who, but as she turned the corner, bumped into
Mr. Kiriakis, who obviously had heard everything, and now he gave her
another wad of money to leave town, arranging for her to go to
cooking school in Paris. She thinks she should go to the police, but
Jack says not to worry, he will tell them all. She leaves, and Jack
smiles, saying he is on the trail, and can smell the truth.
Caroline is on the phone to Shawn, saying she misses him. But she is
worried, something is not right. Alice & Celeste feel it, too.
Something bad is going to happen.
At The Cop Shop, Abe arrives, and joins Tek in a room full of
computers. He gives him 3 surveillance tapes from the Kiriakis
wedding, plus the one the professional photographer was shooting
inside the house. He comments how the murder occurred on the terrace,
but the tapes show nothing! Wants Tek to go over them. He returns a
short time later, and Tek has done the job. Discovered the
surveillance tapes have been flawlessly edited. But he did find
something. He shows Abe that from inside the house, a shot of the
terrace window shows something white outside, wedding veil. Plus a
close-up shows a hand, wearing a watch, same brand as Colin wore that
nite, with the time showing as the approximate time Colin was killed.
Further close up shows ring on pinkie finger matching the police
photo of Colin's hand with same exact ring.
At The Kiriakis Mansion, Nicole is in her room, still upset.
Brady knocks, she finally opens the door, & cries on his
shoulder. She claims she was upset at mall about her father, but he
knows better, he made it all up. He cannot do this anymore, she has
to talk to her husband. To herself, she thinks about killing Victor
and needing Brady, and aloud begs him to stay, & how much she
needs him, saying Victor is old and cruel and he is young and kind,
and begging him to stay. Outside the door, Victor has heard every
word. Freeze frame on his face, as huge flames symbolically burn all
around him.
Preview:
Sami denying she is Tony's girlfriend as Lucas then says she's his
whore. Tony telling Cassie that all he accomplished will be passed on
to her & Rex while she says they are not real DiMeras and he asks
if she is saying he is not their father. Shawn wondering what is up
with Mimi, and Belle saying she has been acting really weird lately.
Mimi telling her mom she took everything Mimi had and threw it away.
Nicole telling Victor the only way to protect yourself is to kill
anyone who could send me to jail.

Episode : #9641
Tape Date : Various
Director : Albert Alarr
Abe pays a visit to the Kiriakis Mansion, Jack gets some new info,
Mimi worries over her money woes, Lucas gives Sami a warning.
Fast-paced show as almost everyone seems to end up at Salem Place at
one time or another.
At DiMansion
Tony is on the phone with "father" talking about the future of Theo
as Cassie walks in asking who he is talking to. Tony cuts the call
short and covers, explaining that it was a business deal to make up
for the one that was ruined by the Bradys. He talks about how someday
he will pass everything on to her and Rex and they will pass to their
children. She comments that they are not real DiMeras and talks about
their genetic engineering. She tells Tony she is worried about Rex's
headaches, particularly now that he is not living at the mansion and
they can't keep an eye on him. Tony says that he will see that Rex
has a checkup. Cassie leaves to go and look for Rex. Later, Tony is
on the phone again with "father" demanding to know what for what
purpose Rex and Cassie were created. Apparently "father" gets upset
with him and hangs up on him. Bart comes in and overhears the last
part of it, claming that when he is upset, he talks to Stefano as
well. But Tony informs him that Stefano is indeed alive, shocking
Bart.
At Salem Place
Sami and Will are waiting for Lucas there (who is going to take Will
shopping). But on his way, Lucas has a run-in with Bonnie causing her
to drop her cigarette. She picks it up and blows smoke in his face
and stomps off. As they wait, Sami and Will talk and Will asks when
Brandon is coming back. Sami lies, saying soon, as Lucas walks up and
overhears. Will rushes off to talk to a friend as Lucas chastises
Sami for lying to him. Delusional Sami is sure that Brandon WILL
return and they will work out their problems. But Lucas (the voice of
reason) points out that IF Brandon did return, he'd want nothing to
do with Tony DiMera's girlfriend. Sami adamantly says she is NOT his
girlfriend as Lucas says that she must be his whore. She tries to
slap him but Lucas stops her. Lucas tells Sami that Tony is Stefano's
son and that the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. He warns her
that Tony will want something in return and leaves with Will, causing
Sami to think.
Jack is at the Java Café, working on his laptop, going over
the case. Later he is on the phone talking with the bank asking
questions about access to the Colin Murphy bank records. After a
little double talk and thinly veiled threats, he heads over there.
Later, he is back with an envelope and pulls out papers and is
shocked about what he reads, about the transfer of $5 million
dollars. Will walks up and talks to him briefly, then ends up looking
over his shoulder (did he see something that he may let slip?) After
Jack shoos him off, he studies the papers and realizes that the
account in question belongs to Nicole Walker.
Mimi and Belle are shopping for food for their dinner party as Mimi
keeps obsessing over money. Belle talks about Mimi wearing her new
dress as Mimi has flashbacks of returning it. They go to the Java
Café as Belle orders a coffee and Mimi water. Mimi keeps
making money comments and then spots her mother and rushes over. Rex
and Shawn also run into each other for their usual round of arguing,
sniping and evil looks. Shawn asks why Rex is following him and they
realize that they are both there to meet their girlfriends. Shawn
walks over to the Java cafe just as Mimi is rushing off, asking Belle
what is wrong with her. Mimi confronts her mom about the money again
(noticing that she has on a new outfit). Rex is having another one of
his headaches. Shawn and Belle discuss Mimi's family problems as Mimi
and her mother argue. Bonnie promises her that someday they WILL hit
it big and be rich. Rex walks up and Bonnie wants an introduction.
She needles him about his rich, single father, saying she would LOVE
to meet him as well as Mimi rolls her eyes. She and Rex join Shawn
and Belle (more sniping from Rex and Shawn) as Belle plays referee.
Cassie walks up and overhears them talking about a party. She quickly
learns that she is NOT invited (couples only, wanna bet she and
Philip show up?) She pulls Rex aside and asks about his headaches.
She wants to tell Tony the truth about them not being DiMeras, but
Rex talks her out of it. She mentions something about Stefano being
dead, but Rex asks "is he?" He says he isn't so sure about it, but
they must trust Tony. While they are gone, Shawn warns Belle about
Rex being dangerous.
At The Kiriakis Mansion
There is a replay of Victor overhearing Brady and Nicole, but his
eaves dropping is interrupted when Henderson tells him that Abe
Carver is there. Vic heads on down and tells him to send down Nicole.
Downstairs, Victor is a bit perturbed about Abe dropping in, but Abe
informs him it is police business. Brady and Nicole come in even
though Victor asks Brady to leave, he stays. Abe tells them that he
has more questions about Colin's murder as Nicole drops a glass and
freaks out. Abe informs them that he is being pushed to solve the
case and is reviewing everyone's statements. They review the details
(as Nicole has her daily flashback). She denies knowing anything or
even seeing Colin that night. Abe whips out the photo still from the
video and asks her what is she with holding. After he proves it was
Colin in the photo, she finally admits that she did see Colin outside
but only briefly. Victor asks where the photo came from as Abe
explains that the outside security videos didn't even show this
encounter and that they know they were tampered with. Victor points
out that Abe has no hard evidence and asks what his theory is, which
Abe doesn't have. Victor finally has had enough and excuses Abe as
Brady walks him out. Victor whispers in Nicole's ear and asks if she
feels the noose beginning to tighten. She rushes upstairs, as he
follows her.
We then see Abe and Brady walking through Salem Place as Abe tells
him that he believes that someone in that mansion is guilty of murder
and it's not him, and for him to be careful. Jack rushes up wanting
to talk to Abe as Brady leaves. Jack asks Abe if he has any new leads
and offers to make a trade. Abe warns Jack to be careful and to back
off. Abe wants the new info that Jack has, but he refuses to give it
up, unless he gets something in return. Brady is staring in a window
and begins to have doubts about Nicole, but is sure that she could
not be capable of murder.
Back at the mansion, Nicole paces her room as Victor comes in. She
wants to flee, but Victor tells her to calm down. She has an epiphany
and says that if Abe dies, she would be in the clear, the key to her
survival is obvious, Abe Carver must die. Victor asks if she has gone
mad, you can't kill the police commander. She says no, Victor must
kill him for her. She blackmails him, saying that if she ends up in
prison, all Victor's dirty little secrets will come out. She says
that the only way Victor can protect himself is to kill anyone that
could send her to jail.
Back At DiMansion
After Tony reveals to Bart that Stefano is still alive, Bart just
can't believe it. Tony talks about how Stefano always used and
manipulated people. Bart asks when does he feel that Stefano will try
to carry out his plan and Tony says soon. He says that he is sure
that he, Cassie and Rex will be his unwitting accomplices and
executioners and that all of Stefano's enemies will be the
victims.

and finds her on the couch.
At The Loft, Belle and Mimi prepare for their dinner party.
Mimi's rolling out the pie crust and it's not cooperating. Belle asks
if she used margarine instead of butter and Mimi thought margarine
would be cheaper (can't believe they're MAKING a pie anyway or not
using a ready made crust). Shawn stops by and offers to help. Belle
just wants him to chill so the night won't be a disaster.
Across the hall Cassie whines to Rex that she wasn't invited to the
party. He shoos her off, promising to take a nap saying he'll be fine
after that. Rex has a nightmare where Bo and Hope confront him about
trying to kill them and sees the bloody club in his hand. Cassie runs
into Philip in the hall. He's carrying flowers and admits his date
had to work late, so he's going stag. Belle suggests that Shawn
either get along with Rex or move home if it's too hard living with
Rex and Mimi tells him that her boyfriend is welcome in her apartment
anytime. He lived with Rex at the dorm, why can't he here. He says
the same of Cassie to Belle and she's saved when Philip knocks. He
shows them who he brought with him. Philip asks Cassie to behave and
Rex arrives, surprised and not happy to see her there. He offers to
help and Belle tells him she's got everything under control as we see
Shawn helping her. Rex holds his head in pain and thrusts a knife
into the loaf of bread on the counter. He pulls it out again and
Shawn orders him to put it down, now! Rex tells Shawn he wouldn't
hurt his (Shawn's) parents (even calls him "dude"). Shawn mentions
Rex's anger management problem and Rex reminds Shawn of his own
similar anger issues..putting his own hand through glass. Rex tells
Shawn he, more then anyone, should know what it's like to be accused
of a crime he didn't do. Shawn announces he can't stay there and is
leaving. Belle has an idea. She frustrated at the tension and
suggests they do a mock trial like they do at law school. She reminds
him he's pre-law. Rex agrees no more secrets or lies and no more
breaking in (to Shawn). Philip agrees and says they need an impartial
judge. Philip suggests Belle be judge being she's both Rex's sister
and Shawn's girlfriend. They start dinner with their mock trial and
Belle asks Mimi about Rex's temper and does she think he could hurt
anyone. She tells them no and goes to get the pies out of the oven as
Rex follows her. She tells him she lied for him and doesn't explain,
returning to the table. Philip asks Belle if she thinks Rex is guilty
or innocent (so much for a trial, haha).
At The TV Studio, Bo and Hope individually go to investigate. Abe
finds them there. The 3 talk about Tony being the prime suspect. Abe
asks Bo to come back to the police force. He'd have his seniority
back as well as great benefits. He knows Bo left out of frustration,
but working on the side of the law instead of breaking and entering
to investigate would be easier. Besides that, he needs Bo to help him
protect his back (where's Roman nowadays?) Hope said they always work
as a team and Abe tells her the force could always use man or woman
power, if they can report to Roman as Commander. He tells them about
retiring. He's put 20+ years in and ready to spend time with Theo and
Brandon. He wants to solve the last few cases and leave knowing the
job's done. We see someone looking through the curtains at the three
of them. Hope tells Abe she's worried about Alice and she needs to be
available for her. Abe tells them about Celeste's "vibes" and they
talk about the old wives tale about a departed saying someone's name.
Abe doesn't tell them about hearing Tom call his name, but we see a
B&W flashback of it as he remembers it. The lights go out and Bo
holds Hope as she worries about it happening again. They find it was
just a blown fuse and Abe tells them about the cut fiber optic line
problem. Hope feels a little jumpy about being there and their
talking about ghosts. She wants to stop by Gran's and Bo and Abe want
to go too. Abe tells them it would mean a lot to him if they both
come back to the force when he goes. Bo rewords it as when he
"leaves", but Abe reiterates when he "goes".
At The Newspaper Office, Harold pressures Jack for a hint as to
what his BIG story is about. Jack admits he's got everything he
needs, but it's all circumstantial and he needs proof. Jack doesn't
want to go home as he knows Jen would pressure him for details.
Harold needs someone to cover a mundane story in the lake front
district about a crane breaking some fiber optic cables and Jack
readily accepts.
At The Kiriakis Mansion, Nicole asks Victor if Abe's still
alive. He reminds her being responsible for Colin's death got her
into this mess and another one won't help. She threatens to let his
son and grandsons know what a loser he is if he doesn't whack Abe for
her. Later as they're talking, we hear a knock at the door. Victor
instructs Henderson not to disturb them as they head upstairs and
it's Jack, dressed as a phone repairman. Henderson lurks as Jack's
supposedly working on the phone lines (at that time of night? What
phone company do they have for nighttime service, haha) and goes to
another room when Jack comments on how long it'll take being watched.
Henderson goes out of the room.
Jen Visits Gram and finds a dark house. She finds Gram lying
on the couch and rushes over to see if she's ok. Gram wakens up,
happy to see Jennifer Rose. She tells Jennifer she was just taking a
nap, doesn't she ever take one? Jen admits she does, but Gran
doesn't. Alice was having a lovely dream about Tom and when Jennifer
tells her she brought dinner for her, Alice admits having eaten
already but Jennifer should be home eating dinner with her family.
Jen says Abby's at a friends (first night of school at a friend's
house?) and Jack hasn't called, but is working on a dangerous story
(so, call HIS cellphone then) and she's worried about him. Later
Mickey and Maggie arrive and Jen greets them in the foyer. She's
worried about Alice and suggests they move her downstairs and take
turns shopping and cooking for her. Mickey asks if Alice is still
having nightmares and Maggie tells Jen that it's not Alice, but the
house that's evil (being Mickey told her about Abe's seeing Tom too).
She doesn't tell Jen about Abe, but explains how strange things have
been happening lately. Privately Mickey and Maggie talk about Abe and
Alice both seeing Tom.
Jen calls the paper and Harold tells her about sending Jack out for a
routine story, but she can reach him on his cell (haha... told ya!).
She calls his cell and we see Jack working on the phone when Nicole
comes downstairs asking if everything's fixed. He tells her
absolutely (in fake voice) and walks away. He goes out to the car and
we see he's planted a bug in the phone. He listens for a bit, but
while he's messing with the dials, Nicole tries using the phone and
surprised it doesn't work as the phone man was just there to fix it.
Victor tells her the problem is with the outside lines, not inside
and finds the bug in the mouthpiece. He smashes it. Victor tells her
it's good for phone conversations and conversations in the room. He
tells her it's only good for about 500 yards. Nicole threatens to
ruin Victor's life forever if he doesn't get rid of whose doing this.
Victor finds Jack in his truck and gives him his marching orders. He
rips off Jack's fake mustache and tells him to walk away from there
and never come back. Jack walks away and we see someone pointing a
gun at him.
Bo, Hope and Abe arrive to learn that Gran just went to bed. Jen asks
about Jack, thinking he was with Abe. Abe tells her no. She's worried
he's only incommunicado because he's undercover. Abe leaves and
Mickey walks him out. Mickey asks how he's doing and Abe assures him
he didn't see Tom in there and thanks him for taking care of his
will. Inside Jen shows Hope Abby's camp pictures. She finds a picture
of Jack that Abby took and sets it on the table. Jen sees Bo and Hope
off outside and as Jack's walking away from Victor's, his pictures
starts smoking and catches fire as the previews for the next DOOL
roll.
Preview:
Shawn yells that the DiMera's always have it out for the Bradys
and won't believe that Rex is innocent. Cassie tells him he doesn't
know what he's talking about. Jen finds the picture of Jack half
burnt and tells Uncle Mickey she feels something's going to happen
and is worried about losing Jack and what would she do without him.
Jack hears a noise as the gun is cocked, wondering what the noise is.
