June 9 - June 13, 2003 Updates
MONDAY, JUNE 9TH, 2003
Episode: #9775
Tape date: Various
Director: Roger Inman
Jack and Jenn are back as they welcome a special guest star to
"In the House", the Bradys and Carvers celebrate Zack's
birthday, Bo and Hope begin their new career, Rex seeks answers
as Mimi's loose lips put her in danger.
Jack & Jenn Are "In The House" With Phil Vassar
The show starts with an exterior shot of the Deveraux house (don't
think we have seen that one before) and the "In the House"
theme plays. Jack and Jenn are dressed in Hawaiian shirts
complete with leis and banter and talk about their honeymoon,
promising to show pictures later (which, BTW, we NEVER get to see).
They talk about their special guest star country music's Phil
Vassar. They introduce him (saying he is direct from Fan Fair)
and tell how he was name the ACM's Top New Male Artist this year.
Phil joins them as they talk about his career and awards he has
won. Jenn gushes about his hit "American Child" being
her one of her favorite songs (Jack confirms it that she knows
all the words). They talk about his humble beginnings as a
bartender and cook in a Nashville bar and about his family. He
tells them about his daughter Hayley being in his videos and how
his wife helps him write songs (he calls her a babe). He goes to
the piano and performs "American Child" (quite
beautifully, I might add) and as he sings, we get to see a few
clips from his video and Jenn mouths along (Hey, she really DOES
know the words, LOL). After the song, Jenn begs him to sing
another, her favorite "This is God" as they plug his
album and book. He performs it as Jack and Jenn listen (with a
few clips from his video thrown in). (Thumbs up Phil, great job!)
After he finishes, they thank him for coming and they sign off.
Later, after the show, Jack and Jenn talk about coming back from
their honeymoon. Jack tells her that it didn't matter where they
were, all he would have seen would be her and they kiss.
Brady & Brady Are Open For Business
At the Brady house, Hope and Zack are piled up on the sofa
watching a Mr. Magoo cartoon and laughing (as we see a huge Happy
Birthday Zack banner behind them). She tells him that she grew up
watching that as he chatters away (so cute). Bo walks in with the
paper, showing how they made the headlines by catching Ramsel.
She tells him that she has been thinking about his idea and
worries if they can really do it. He tries to convince her,
telling her that Abe will help them out. Abe and Lexie arrive
with little Theo and a nanny (Clara Smith) in tow. Hope just HAS
to hold him as Lexie passes him over. She shows him to Zack, who
seems more interested in a piece of paper he has. Later, we see
Zack riding an electric 4-wheeler (his birthday gift) as everyone
cheers him on. They talk about how he has grown as Hope says a
lot of credit goes to them. They talk about how they called JT
this morning first thing and he had already opened the gifts they
sent him. Abe and Lexie have a present for them. They open it to
find Zack's bronzed baby booties. Abe explains that they changed
the name to read "Beauregard Isaac Theo Brady. Bo and Hope
are both touched by the gesture as it almost brings them to tears.
Later, Zack rides in from the kitchen as Hope shows the booties
to him, explaining they used to be his (oh, that is so cute).
Later, they bring out the cake as Zack blows out the 3 candles
and all cheer. Lexie asks if HOPE baked the cake (LOL at
everyone's reactions) as she stammers around and finally admits
it was a mix. Bo chimes in, saying it was baked with a LOT of
love. Abe and Bo have an aside conversation and talk briefly
about Sami (explains that Shawn is with Belle becauseshe is so
upset). Abe talks about Roman being so distraught and tells Bo
that they miss him down at the station. He asks about his plans
as Bo explains their idea. Later as they clean up the mess, Abe
is trying to talk them out of it (Lexie and Clara took the kids
upstairs). He explains that it is too dangerous, but quickly sees
that they are determined. Lexie comes back down asking what they
are talking about and they explain to her as she is worried as
well. Finally Abe promises to help them out and calls the station
to have the records of a criminal (Ray Meeks) brought over. Lexie
promises to help them out on the homefront in anyway she can.
Later an officer brings over the files and offers the case to
them, if they are interested. They accept and are anxious to get
started. Abe and Lexie offer to stay with Zack until Caroline
comes for him, so with hugs all around Brady & Brady are in
business!
Over At DiMansion
A repair guy arrives to measure for a new door (Bart shows him,
good to see him again) as a morose Tony has a flashback of Sami
crashing through. Mimi comes by as Rex meets her at the front
door. She immediately starts asking him about when he is gong to
tell Tony what he has learned. But Rex doesn't want to tell him,
he likes being a DiMera. Tony gives Bart instructions to get
hourly updates on Sami's condition as he spots Rex and Mimi and
calls them into the den. Mimi sees the broken door and begins
babbling about the ëcrime scene'. Tony quickly corrects her,
saying it was an accident and Mimi urges Rex to tell Tony what he
learned. Rex won't talk so Tony begins pumping Mimi for info. She
tries to cover and talks about Tony's clothes (LOL). But Tony can
tell that something is bothering Rex and asks if he is okay. Mimi
blurts out that they found out that Sami is his sister OOPS, (she
covers and says half-sister). (Geez, she's not letting the cat
out of the bag, she is YANKING it out!) Finally, Rex tries to
cover it all up, saying that they both offered to give blood and
he learned that he and Sami have the same blood type and he is on
the donor list. Rex and Mimi head upstairs as they hear Bart on
the phone with "Rolfsky". Mimi has no idea who that is,
but Rex sure does and sends Mimi on ahead of him as he eavesdrops
and learns out where Rolf is staying (The Riverfront Motel, I
think). Tony bellows for Bart, so he cuts it short and heads to
the den. Rex goes upstairs to find Mimi on the bed flipping
through a magazine. He calls her beautiful which stuns her. He
chuckles and asks if she would rather he call her "bigmouth"
to which she apologizes for the scene downstairs. Of course he
forgives her and they kiss, with him telling her that his life is
perfect right now and he just doesn't want it to change. He tells
her that he needs to run downtown and asks her to wait until he
gets back. Downstairs, Tony questions Bart about Rex's odd
behavior. Bart says that Stefano NEVER cared about his children
and is impressed with Tony's concern. Tony picks up a photo of
Rex and Cassie, saying that they mean EVERYTHING to him. Later,
Mimi is flipping through a book and becomes impatient and leaves
Rex a note and leaves. In the den, Tony tells Bart he wants to
see the "goods" as Bart pours out a pouch of diamonds.
Tony tells him that NO ONE is to know. But Bart sees Mimi leaving
and tells Tony, afraid she might have overheard them. Tony
becomes upset and orders Bart to bring her back so Bart follows
Meems as she leaves. To himself, he mutters how she is in trouble.
Tony goes upstairs and meddles in Rex's stuff as we see Rex
snooping around the docks. He goes into a building and yells for
Rolf. He yells that he needs his help and has questions about his
past and that HE has the answers. He sits down, saying he is NOT
leaving until he gets them. Meanwhile, Tony sees Mimi's note and
chuckles, until he turns it over and sees (what I assume to be)
the DNA results. With a shocked look on his face, he says "Oh
my God Rex, it can't be!", as it fades to black and goes to
the previews.

Chloe is screaming at Brady: "You heard me Brady, now GET
OUT!" as a sad-faced Brady leaves. We see a shot of Sami in
the hospital bed as we hear Lucas say "If anything happens
to Sami, I'd be the one to blame" (Cassie can be seen in the
background on crutches). Rolf (to Rex): "Allright, you want
me to talk, your mother is..." Nicole saying ""Well,
well, well, look at you".

Episode: #9776
Tape Date: Various
Director: Albert Alarr
Brady breaks it off with Chloe, Rex tries to beat the truth out
of Rolf, Mimi ends up in trouble, Kate and Roman get goodnews/
bad news on Sami, a down and out Lucas finds himself in a
compromising position and Nicole makes a deal with the devil.
At The Wesley House
Brady goes to see Chloe and receives a very chilly reception. He
tells her that he is there to break up with her. He says he
doesn't want to, but they have to. She gets angry with him and
tries to toss him out. They argue as he tries to reason with her
and explain. He says he is doing this BECAUSE he loves her. She
thinks that he has found someone else but he swears that there is
no one else and that he loves only her and is doing this because
of that. He says if she stays in Salem and gives up her dreams it
will ruin their lives. She becomes furious, saying he is being
stupid, twisted and condescending. He says this is now the second
time he has tried to get her to fight for her life but she says
without him, she has no life. She yells for him to leave and
opens the door. Without a word, he walks out and she slams the
door behind him.
At The Brady Pub
Bart tracks Mimi to the pub, where Roman and Kate are having
lunch as he worries about Sami. Mimi stops by and asks about
Sami's condition and offers her words of encouragement. Bart
calls Tony and gives him an update and is told to keep an eye on
her. Mimi asks about the rest of the family and Roman says he had
been putting it off (waiting for some good news) but needs to
call his son. Mimi asks "Rex?" A confused Roman asks
what she is talking about, but she covers, saying she meant Eric,
she just has Rex on the brain. Kate points out that Roman didn't
even touch his food, so he offers it to Mimi as he and Kate leave.
Mimi sits down and starts munching on the fries as Bart comes
over and strikes up a conversation. He sits and they talk (LOL at
these 2, he calls her Mimimi, until she straightens him out,
telling him it's only 2 mi's, talk about 2 of a kind!) He tries
to pump her for information, trying to find out what she was
talking to Roman about (he thinks she was telling about the
diamonds). Mimi talks about her mouth always gets her in trouble.
She describes it as being "as fast as a high-speed internet
connection". He tries to find out what she said, but she
said she has said too much already. Bart steps away and makes a
call, telling the other person they were right, and Rex's big
mouth girlfriend is history. Outside, some goon arrives as Bart
points her out to him. He says that she is special (reminds him
of himself) so make it quick an painless. Mimi comes out as Bart
bids her farewell, saying he liked her, to bad she blabbed to
Roman about the family jewels. A confused Mimi asks what he is
talking about, saying she was talking about Rex, and that he does
happen to be a gem. Bart realizes his mistake as a confused Mimi
leaves and Bart tells "two Mi's" to take care of
herself. He tells the goon that the hit is off, it was a huge
misunderstanding.
At The Hospital
Sami is still unconscious as Lucas watches over her. He asks the
nurse about her condition and is told it is critical. Cassie
shows up on a crutch (Alexis Thorpe had an accident in real life)
and explains her injury from roller-blading (I think that is what
she said) saying that Rex has always said she is hell on wheels.
Cassie talks about Sami's condition and Lucas says if anything
happens to Sami, Will will be devastated and HE will be to blame.
She asks him about it as he talks about the history of how he and
Sami have hurt each other and says that this time he went too far.
He talks about how he was there pushing her further and further
until she cracked and went over the deep end. Cassie tries to
tell him that Sami probably deserved it, but Lucas just keeps
beating himself up and wants to stay by her side until she wakes
up. Apparently Cassie talked him into leaving because later they
are at his place and he offers her a drink and fixes one for
himself as well (vodka). As they relax on the sofa, he talks
about when Sami was on death row and says if she dies, he won't
be able to live with himself. They keep on talking and drinking
and she offers a massage. Lucas is wary because of Tony's
warning, but Cassie keeps on (saying she likes a man who lives
dangerously) until he gives in. Before long, she has his shirt
off and her hands all over him. Lucas says "to hell with
Tony" as they fall back on the sofa kissing.
Kate and Roman return to the hospital awaiting the latest test
results. Roman is a wreck waiting and feels helpless. She talks
about how she felt when Lucas was in the coma and how she never
gave up. She tells Roman not to give up on a miracle and that she
will pray for one for him. Roman talks to Sami, telling her that
he loves her and not to give up as the doctor comes in. He tells
them that he has news, there has been a change for the better.
But there is a possibility for long term complications, possible
brain damage, vocal chord damage and paralysis.
Nicole Hatches A Plan
Nicole goes to visit someone in prision, Larry Welch. She got in
by claiming to be his wife (yeah, right, I'm SURE they would
check something like that out). Larry asks who the hell she is as
she explains that she needed a private meeting with him. She says
she decided to talk to him because he detests Victor as much as
she does. She says she knows that Victor sent him away twice for
something he didn't do. She says she KNOWS he didn't kill Colin
Murphy, but doesn't tell him HOW she knows that. She says she
also knows he wants revenge against Victor. Larry talks about
being in prison, saying he is living "la vida loca" and
asks her to enlighten him. He says that they only thing that they
have in common is that both of them hate Victor and asks her what
she wants, to team up to bring Victor down? Larry is confused,
asking what can he do from behind bars as she explains that she
has a plan to bust him out, but would require his help in return.
She does her best Sharon Stone impression (crossing her legs)
which gets his attention and he says yes, he is interested. He
asks what is the plan. She says it's simple, she will help him
get out. All he will need to do in return is kill her husband.
Down At The Docks
Rex yells for Rolf (who comes out with a gun) and they struggle.
Rex takes him down demanding answers. He says he will beat the
truth out of him if necessary. He wants to know who his mother is.
Rolf tries to avoid the question but Rex persists and begins
choking him. Rolf persuades him to let him go and tells him that
Marlena gave birth to him but Rex punches him. He then throws
water on him and tells him that he doesn't want to hear his lies
anymore. Rolf tries to get out of answering his questions, but
Rex tells him that he tested his DNA and already knows that Roman
is their father and demands to know who their mother is. Rolf is
impressed that he broke the genetic code, saying that no one was
supposed to ever know. He finally confirms that Marlena gave
birth to them but she was only a surrogate, someone else was the
donor. Rex demands to know who but Rolf will not say. Rex punches
him again and Rolf finally cracks, saying he will tell him! But
before he can say a name, a huge stack of crates tumbles down and
crushes him beneath. Rex checks him (apparently he is dead) as he
looks disgusted, and the previews roll.
Preview:
Marlena tells Tony that Sami is condemned to a life of pain
and suffering and that she will NEVER forgive him. Belle is
snooping around the docks, when a guy jumps out and shoots her
and she falls in the river. Bo is fighting with a guy in a bar as
Hope (in a red wig) cracks the guy over the head with a liquor
bottle and smiles at Bo.

WEDNESDAY, JUNE 11TH, 2003
Episode: #9577
Taped: 5/20/03
Director: Roger Inman
Brady & Brady get their man while Rex & Mimi have their
own adventure, Belle runs into trouble, & Marlena tells Tony
exactly where to go, well, almost.
At The Wesley Home Chloe is opening a large
brown envelope containing opera brochures with her picture on
them!!! Brady arrives, tries to apologize and sees the brochures
featuring "a new star from the U.S.A., Miss Chloe Lane".
(Bet all you struggling, hard working singers wish it was this
easy to become a STAR, right?) Chloe protests she doesn't want to
go, everything she loves is in Salem, and she now has all she
wants. Somehow the scene returns to a naked Brady & Chloe on
the sofa in the afterglow, with the baby monitor going off. Chloe
goes to check on Joy, while Brady has a fantasy of married life
down the road. A suited Brady comes home to the Donna Reed like
wifey, Chloe, telling her all about his latest coup. His P.R.
company, Sensations, has taken Cecelia Marin on as a client,
which includes singer Monica Burton, the one who replaced Chloe
when she refused to go on tour. He wants her to listen to
Monica's latest CD, and Chloe looks forlorn, as Brady mentions
her still regretting not taking advantage of a career when she
had the chance. End of fantasy as Chloe comes down, having gotten
dressed. They argue again about her singing career, staying in
Salem, etc. and the phone rings. It's Nancy, with the news she
just received from Craig. Brady takes the phone from her, as she
cannot believe what she is hearing. Seems Craig has accepted the
position of heading up the Manhattan Medical Center, and they are
moving to NY. (Sorry, but I think this turn of events really
stinks. Thought perhaps the Wesleys would at least still be in
town, and now we obviously have had no "farewell"
scenes with them). He asks Chloe what she will do now, when her
family will be leaving Salem.
At DiMansion Tony tells Marlena that the hospital told him
that Sami is going to pull thru, and is happy to hear it. Marlena
angrily spits out that Sami's injuries could result in brain
damage, damage to her spine, her vocal chords, and perhaps
permanent paralysis. She holds him responsible, will never
forgive him. He tells her she can leave, but she asks if he
doesn't still want to possess her, his intention. He claims he
knows she is not interested in him, and she talks of how she
defended him when he first returned to town, but no more. She
tells him he should leave town, get DiMeras out of her family's
lives once and for all. They go back & forth, and talk of
sharing children (Both are gonna be pretty surprised, soon!).
Tony asks her to come up to Rex's room, to see something
interesting. Marlena goes on about not intruding on her
children's privacy, but enters the room. Tony shows her a drawing
of a piece of machinery (that laser thing for the coal into
diamonds). They have no idea what it is, but Tony feels if it was
something for the good of the environment, for instance, Rex
would have told his proud parents (??) about it. Marlena tells
him off, leaves the room, slamming the door. Tony shudders,
wondering WHAT he ever saw in that woman! LOL (Thank goodness
that potential triangle is out the window now - yayyyy)
Down On The Docks Belle & Shawn arrive, talking about
Sami. Belle says her whole family feels guilty about being so
hard on Sami (perhaps they should have been so hard on her long
ago) & now they are all so worried. (but NONE are at the
hospital, huh?). Mimi comes up, looking for Rex, but they have
not seen him. She babbles on about him, sounding like a gal in
love, so says Shawn. Belle doesn't want her hurt, and both agree
Rex needs someone to keep him grounded in the real world. Mimi
leaves to search further.
The scene returns to Shawn, shirt off, tank top, throwing balls
out across the water again. (Jeez, doesn't that get to be
expensive?). Belle comments on season being over, glad he won
their game, and talks about being worried about Philip. She
explains about being at the base, the other soldiers seemingly
deferring to Philip, as if he was someone important, when he is
just a private like everyone else. Shawn gets a call from Uncle
Mickey, with another job for him, and he takes off. Belle stays
behind, on a bench, with her book, sunblocker (LOL) and says she
will just read. She hears a noise, hides behind the bench, as
Philip & TEK arrive, talking about another shipment arriving.
They hear a noise, TEK whips out a gun, as Belle stands up, and
TEK shoots her close range. She falls into the river. Later we
see a shirtless Philip, in the river, getting her out with Tek's
help. (Can we tell it is summer with all the shirts off now, lol).
He remonstrates with TEK, who claims it was only a tranquilizer
dart gun, and she will come to in a bit. He mentions her being
John Black's daughter, and he leaves, as Philip cradles Belle,
saying he will take care of her.
Later, Shawn returns, to find a soggy, groggy Belle on the bench,
just waking up. She cannot remember what happened, or who must've
aided her from the river, as she obviously fell in or something.
Shawn takes her home. As they depart, we see a crouched Philip,
fully attired in his scuba gear, stand up, and lower himself into
the water.
Meanwhile, in the warehouse, Rex is beside himself, with Rolf
lying dead. He is perplexed, but then hoists him over his
shoulder, taking him out to his convertible, dumping him in the
back seat. Of course, Mimi comes up just then, wanting to know
what he is doing. Our wonderful, babbling Mimi, goes on about
Professor Putnam, where is his hair, (Rex says it was a wig), and
tries to convince Rex he did not kill Rolf, it was an accident,
and he should go to his father, Roman. Rex is horrified, saying
he could never explain this, it would be his word against a dead
man. He tells her he has to bury the body somewhere. Now Mimi is
horrified, & tries to talk him out of it. (Loving these
scenes) Suddenly we all hear a groan. Aha! Rolf is NOT dead. (Too
bad, thought it about time he paid for all his dastardly deeds,
especially for Marlo!)
At The Brady Pub Bo runs into Philip, and they play catch up
with the happenings of their lives, talking of Vin Ramsell &
bounty hunting. . Philip explains his lack of uniform as not
being required to wear it off base. (Hmmm, thought he was working
in the recruiting office in town?) Hope arrives, reporting that
no sign of Weeks on the docks, and Philip abruptly leaves. Hope
wants a burger but Bo hustles her out of there, as outside, TEK
pulls Philip out of sight. (What for?)
The duo arrive at Echelon, running into Tommy, a street kid who
has straightened up and is flying right, and now doing valet
parking for Echelon. He admires Bo's hot looking babe, and is
full of chagrin to be introduced to Bo's wife. LOL. They tell him
about Weeks, describing him as smoking a pipe, liking redheads
and having a tattoo. Tommy promises to let them know if he sees
the guy, and leaves to park a a car. Bo takes Hope somewhere and
when they return, they are in different clothes, Bo has his hair
slicked back. Bo goes in, pretending to be a professor from the
college, dealing with underage gals all day, so Echelon is his
lifesaver, as he asks to borrow tobacco for his pipe from a group
of men sitting playing cards. Three guys offer theirs, as Hope
comes up in a short haired red wig, coming on to the men, talking
of seeing their muscles. They take off their jackets to show off,
and one has the required tattoo. Bo & Hope take the guy down,
with Hope delivering the final bottle blow to the head. Outside,
Tommy stops them, asking to take a picture of "Brady &
Brady"". Freeze frame.
Preview:
Brady to Chloe "Go to Europe, stay in Salem. Either way,
we are finished." Cassie to Belle "You don't know the
kind of hunk you have" as Belle comes back with, "Yes I
do. The kind who wouldn't give you the time of day" Nicole
to Larry "I'm a killer, not a lover" as Larry retorts
if she plays her cards right, you can have both. We then see them
kissing! Mimi to Rex (both are wearing helmets & skates, with
Rolf inbetween them, also with skates on, tho they seem to be
supporting him, as they skate him to a bench and sit him down)
"Please don't let Professort Putnam die on our watch.
Don't let him breathe his last like road kill or something".
ROTFL, truly funny scene.

THURSDAY, JUNE 12TH, 2003
Episode: #9578
Taped: 5/21/03
Director: Roy Steinberg
Nicole and Larry come to an understanding, Shawn begins his new
job, much to Belle's dismay, Rex and Mimi's evening goes from bad
to worse, Chloe and Brady have a tearful goodbye as Bart and Rolf
have a comical one. (I just have to comment on this, it really
bugs me that Chloe gets this dramatic, drawn-out goodbye and even
that Rolf gets one, but NOTHING, not even a parting shot, only a
phone call explaining their departure, for a popular beloved
couple like the Wesleys??? Shame on you Days! What a
disappointment!!)
At The Wesley House
Chloe is still in shock over Craig's news as Brady tries to
convince her that it is a good thing. She becomes angry, refusing
to let him push her away. He says if she passes on this
opportunity, she will live to regret it. (Haven't we already
heard all this?) She talks about how he stood by her when she was
sick and not to do her any favors now, she is determined to stay
in Salem. He says if she does, then they are through. She becomes
furious and runs upstairs crying. She goes to her room and slams
the door. Lying on the bed, she picks up his picture and has
flashbacks of them together on the dock and their trip to
Colorado. She ends up throwing his picture across the room
against the door. She has a hissy fit and starts throwing things
all over the floor. Brady comes up and tries to get her to open
the door and she yells at him to just go away. (Excuse me, but
isn't Joy supposed to be asleep? She must be a HEAVY sleeper!) He
sits outside her door as she whines and moans from inside. She
goes on about how he has no respect for her feelings. She also
says that he is just as controlling as Philip and starts crying
and yelling, saying she never wants to see him again. He tells
her that she doesn't have to, after she sings at the Blue Note
tonight. She yells that she hates him but from outside the door,
he softly says "I love you, I'm sorry". She yells for
him to just go away and never come back. Finally, he leaves,
telling her to be at the Blue Note. She snaps that she will, but
it will be the LAST thing she will ever do for him again. (So, I
guess we are set up for the big goodbye on the next show, FINALLY!)
At The Pub
Belle and Shawn are there as he is still worried about her (they
are having the Salem cure-all's, hot tea and clam chowder). She
still doesn't remember what happened to her (But now she has on
new dry clothes and her hair/make-up are perfect). Philip watches
from outside as Cassie sashays up, startling him. She begins to
come on to him immediately (what a loosey goosey she is). (Note:
he asks her about the crutch and she jokingly tells him that she
was in a bar-room brawl, with guys fighting over her, LOL). He
keeps his distance, telling her that he has to get back to work.
She offers her "company" and he turns her down so she
goes on inside the pub. TEK comes by and watching Belle, tells
Philip she seems fine, but Philip is still upset over what
happened. TEK has new orders for him, he is to attend a party at
the Kiriakis mansion. Philip is shocked that the ISA believes his
father could be involved in the smuggling operation, but TEK
explains that Victor could be in danger. Philip finally agrees to
go and TEK explains that he needs to take a date and is NOT to
tell Victor what is going on.
Inside, Belle and Shawn are talking as Cassie wanders up being
her usual smart-ass self and invites herself to join them. Belle
is quite direct with her and tells her to just go away so she
goes and sits at the bar and watches them. Shawn and Belle talk
about his new assignment (with Mickey), something about a civil
suit against an art collector. He shows her a brochure for the
gallery with a picture of a beautiful woman on the back (Maya
Leano, the client) which seems to disturb Belle (so much for the
trust factor, Belle). Belle asks if he can get out of it but he
is determined to follow it through. Caroline (who we never see)
sends over chocolate cake for them as they talk about Belle's
family problems. She laments over Sami's condition and now how it
seems that Chloe and Brady are breaking up. Belle just wants her
family to be happy. At the bar, Cassie begins to eye some other
guy(he recognizes her from Love is Blind) and then comes on
strong to him. (Future spoilers say that she is arrested for
prostitution, and I can surely BELIEVE it! She comes on as strong
as a hurricane). Shawn has to leave to meet with the client and
promises to call Belle afterward. After he leaves, Philip comes
in and talks to Belle. Cassie walks off from the other guy and
makes a beeline over to Philip and Belle and begins ragging on
Belle for Shawn's leaving. (Oh, please Belle, just pop her one).
Belle tells her that Shawn would never give HER the time of day.
Then Cassie begins hitting on Philip again, asking him to buy her
a drink. Philip pulls Belle aside and asks if she is okay. She
tells him about Shawn's job and he asks if she has plans for the
eveing and if she wants to go to a party.
At The Prison
Nicole is still there with Larry as he begins coming on to her.
She says she needs a killer, not a lover. He says if she plays
her cards right, she can have both. She pushes him for an answer,
but he wants to think it over. She talks about how hatred makes
strange bedfellows, THAT is what Larry wants to talk about as you
can see he is getting turned on by her. She tells him to make her
a widow and she's his. He grabs her and pulls her close and
slobbers all over her neck (wanting a sample) as she winces. She
asks if they have a deal and he finally agrees, but on HIS terms.
She asks if it is money he wants, but he wants his freedom and
HER. She finally says that they have a deal and he roughly pulls
her close and starts kissing her.
Rex & Mimi's Wild Adventure
Rex and Mimi are riding around (with Rolf in the back seat, now
with sunglasses) as she pleads that he not die on them like
common roadkill. Rex wants her to check him out to see if he is
still alive, but she insists on taking him to the hospital. Rex
tries to explain how it happened and wants her to check his pulse.
The look on her face is priceless as she refuses to touch him.
She finally takes out her mirror and holds it in front of Rolf's
mouth for about 2 seconds and then announces to Rex that he IS
dead and has joined that Heavenly choir (LOL). She urges him to
pull over and call the police. Rex finally stops with Mimi
hysterically babbling on that she is going to have a nervous
breakdown. Rex tells her not to talk anymore as he beats his head
on the steering wheel. They don't know what to do next as Mimi
suggests that they call Tony, since the DiMeras are "old hat"
at this sort of thing. About that time a light shines in her face
as a cop walks up asking what is going on. He asks whatsup with
the guy in the back seat as Mimi blurts out that he is dead. Rex
adds "dead to the world" and the cop suggests that they
get him home and leaves (typical of our Salem PD, huh?) A group
of kids rush up, recognizing Mimi from ëLove is Blind' and want
to hang out with them. The kids beg them to go roller-blading
with them as the one guy tries to wake up Rolf. In a panic, they
agree to go skating as Mimi rushes off with the others to get the
skates. Later, we seem Mimi and Rex on roller blades, with Rolf
between them (also on roller blades) going through the park. The
other kids have disappeared for the moment, so they sit Rolf down
on a bench. They prop up and cross his legs and put a paper in
his lap (an Intruder). The other kids come by and they take off
with them, leaving Rolf sitting there. While they are gone, Bart
comes by singing and sees him. He sits down with "Rolfie"
and tells him to stay quiet and let HIM do the talking (ROFL!).
He goes on and on about what good times they had together in the
past, but Tony is NOT Stefano and how it just isn't fun like it
used to be. He talks about dressing up in drag and being elves at
Christmas and how he will miss working with him. Finally, he
tells him goodbye and as he leaves, tells him that he is looking
good and to take care, he will never forget him. After Bart
leaves, Mimi and Rex return and load Rolf back into the car. She
wants to take him the DiMansion, but Rex says that is not an
option, so they decide to drive around until they decide what to
do.
At Mickey's Office
Shawn is there all dressed up (but no Mickey in sight) meeting
with Maya Leano. She crosses her legs in her (very) short skirt,
saying she is all his. She tells an uncomfortable Shawn to relax,
she won't bite. Using a lot of sexual innuendo, she says she
knows that Mickey is using Shawn to size her up. She tells him
that if they win her case, she will make him and the firm very
wealthy. Later, she says she was impressed with Shawn and that
they will be spending a lot of time together. She tells him to
call her Maya and that she wants him to step into her world. She
invites him to come to the gallery the next day for a tour and to
keep his dinner plans open. After she leaves, he finally takes a
breath and plops down in the chair, tossing the pencil in the air
as the previews roll.
Preview:
Nicole (to Larry) "I have a plan so that Bo and Hope will
never know that you are out there, how about we KILL you?"
Mimi (to Rex) "If his death was an accident, we should just
go to the police, right?" Chloe: I'm leaving Salem tonight
after I sing. We see her singing as there is a shot of Brady with
tears rolling down his cheeks.

FRIDAY, JUNE 13TH, 2003
Episode: #9579
Taped: 5/22/03
Director: Herb Stein
Mimi and Rex find an appropriate place to stash Rolf, Nicole goes
hunting, Bo and Hope make a hard decision, and Chloe FINALLY
decides what to do. Her farewell song to Brady is beautiful and
touching though. Love the repartee with Rex/Mimi and Nicole/Larry...
too funny.
Brady Home
Bo's concentrating on the lap top as Hope tells him that Zack's
spending the night at the pub. She fills him in on what Zack's
been doing with his grandparents (it would make me tired too) and
while folding clothes, realizes Bo's not listening. To prove it,
she tells him Caroline wants to get Zack's tongue pierced and he
says okay, LOL. She asks what he's looking at and when she sees,
asks if he's out of his mind. It's a new car they can use for
their business (an SUV I heard) but they need to make a sacrifice.
Hope gets sticker shock and asks if they can afford it (nice to
see them actually talking $$ after all the trips to Europe,
house, clothes, etc.) Bo refuses to touch her trust fund as
that's for the boys college. He suggests they sell the Fancy Face.
She's having a hard time deciding and asks him to go with her. He
says anywhere. Hope steps on the Fancy Face 2 and says she can't
do it, they'll have to find another way. Bo knows they have to
and they head down to the galley to go through things. Hope
figures lots of the stuff they haven't used in three years, they
might as well get rid of it. Bo tempts her into their room and
they fall on the bed kissing.
Larry's Visitor
As Larry finishes sampling the goods (er, Nicole) and obviously
approves. (how did she escape Niko to visit the prison?) He needs
to be out to off her hubby though. She'll find a way. He wants to
know what will happen to him after the deed is done. She suggests
flying him wherever he wants. Worried that Bo will find out he's
out, he starts back pedaling. Nicole has an idea how to hide the
fact he's out there. She suggests they kill him. He asks if
Victor knows she's there as he'll put a contract on him if so.
She assures him Victor's bodyguards won't come near the place. He
asks where she'll get a body. She thinks of Sami and asks if
they'll notice the body is female (LOL). She's told it's time to
leave and he asks his wife for a kiss goodbye. (fun scenes with
these two)
Mimi, Rex & Bernie (Oops, I Mean ROLF)
Mimi suggest they call Tony about Rolf, but he refuses. Rolf sits
up (how long before they get stiff?) as Mimi goes on about what
they should do. Rex tells Mimi about who Rolf really was and how
he had created them, making Marlena their surrogate mother. Rex
complains about Rolf's smell and Mimi goes ewwww when she gets a
whiff. Mimi refers to Crossing Jordan and knows a good place to
find a body sized refrigerator where a corpse wouldn't be a
surprise. Rex wheels Rolf into the morgue in a wheelchair (Rex
explains he and Cassie stayed just down the hall, so he knew
where it was) and plops him on an empty table. They cover him
with a sheet as Rex puts JOHN DOE on a piece of paper to identify
him. Hearing a noise, they rush out. Nicole comes in, donned in
hospital hat and gown, looking for a body (now, isn't that
convenient?) Rex and Mimi scurry to his car and Mimi assures him
stuff like this happens all the time there, hahaha!! They'll
probably blame it on some new orderly. Then she says they'd blame
it on Sami, but she's in a coma (ROFLMAO!!)
Blue Note
Chloe arrives to hear Brady and the manager talking. Brady tells
him the music they have at the Blue Note is not something Chloe's
interested in. If she wants to stay in Salem that's her business,
but there's no future for her there. (I agree with Laney...
what's with this long drawn out poor Chloe farewell, yet Craig
and Nancy disappear without even a hug goodbye. It's bad enough
they're gone, but I hate how they did it too!) Philip arrives
to see Brady. Brady had summoned him to talk about Chloe's future.
Knowing they had both made mistakes with Chloe, Brady asks Philip
if there's anything he can do to make Chloe let go and to do what
she's dreamed of over the years. Philip agrees to help Brady help
Chloe.
The new female singer Brady hired to sing there arrives, meets
Philip and finds Chloe sitting alone in the lounge. She
congratulates her on her wonderful offer with Cecilia Marin. The
two have a heart to heart about dreams and singing. She counsels
Chloe and helps her realize she should follow her dream. If Brady
loves her, he'll be here when she returns. Chloe appreciates
talking to someone who's shared the same experience. The new
singer tells Brady and Philip she got her music and talked with
Chloe. Brady was surprised she was there and Philip goes in and
talks with her. She asks for his advice. He tells her he left his
home, family, friends and she's a lot braver then he is with more
talent to get ahead with.
Later Chloe's in a black dress with her hair combed loose. She's
on the cell and hangs up as Brady joins her. She tells him she
just accepted Ms. Marin's offer and is flying off tonight after
she sings (yeah, and her parents aren't anywhere around, yeah,
right, wouldn't happen!). She can't say goodbye to him and both
are in tears as she leans in for a kiss. They kiss tenderly, both
knowing what's really going on. She heads off to sing and Philip
stops Brady from going after her as she's introduced. She stops
the intro to her song when she sees Brady walk in. She tells the
audience she's changing her program as she has something special
to say to someone she loves. She sings Celine Dion's BECAUSE YOU
LOVE ME..a heartfelt song saying he was her strength, her
inspiration, she's everything she is because you loved me (thanks
for everyone who emailed me with the song's title and singer).
Brady (and Philip) both stand on the side and listen. Brady walks
in the bar and back out again as she finishes the song. He
whispers "I'll always love you Chloe" with tears
running down his face, as the shows closes and previews for
tomorrow roll.
Preview:
Nicole walks in the morgue asking if anyone's there as Rolf pops
up into sitting position, she says "Oh my God" as she
looks at his face. Lucas is kissing Cassie and tells her he works
for her father and will not corrupt his daughter, she tells him
she's a woman. Rex and Mimi are in his bed in the mansion. Tony
walks up to his door and knocks, asking if he's there and saying
it's his father. Mimi sits up surprised (it IS Tony's house).
