Jack and Jennifer make a drastic decision about their
wedding, Rex hosts an interesting family luncheon but there's
more to it than meets the eye, it's only a cover for his secret
agenda (with Mimi's help), Bo continues his search for Ramsel as
he moves in closer.
The Black/DiMera Luncheon
At DiMansion, Cassie continues belly-aching to Tony as Lucas
shows up. She turns on the charm with him as Tony rolls his eyes.
She continues to flirt with him as Tony reminds her to go and get
ready for the luncheon. After she's gone, Tony warns Lucas that
she is off-limits to him (he doesn't want his daughter cavorting
with someone who frequents call girls). Well if that isn't the
pot calling the kettle black! Lucas throws that in his face (good
for him) and even points out that at least he isn't a home
wrecker like Tony (pointing out that Tony tries to break up John
and Marlena). He gives Lucas some papers to look over and reminds
him again to stay away from Cassie. For some reason, Lucas goes
back into the den (they were in the foyer) as Cassie comes down.
Tony offers her a ride to Tuscany, but she wants to drive. After
Tony leaves, she comes on again to Lucas and asks him for a ride
and Lucas is all to thrilled to help her out.
At the dorm, Belle picks up a picture of Philip and says "Sorry,
you just got voted off the island" and puts it away. Rex
comes by reminding Belle of the luncheon. Mimi drops in (having
to chase some guy away). There is a knock at the door and she
opens it to find Marlena and Sami there. Marlena tells them that
she, Sami and Belle need to talk and excuses Rex and Mimi. In the
hallway, Rex talks about his quest to discover his DNA. Inside,
Sami and Belle begin by making cracks about Cassie as Marlena
chastises them. She points out that Sami hasn't even spent much
time with her. Marlena is glad that Belle and Rex get along so
well, but wants Sami and Belle to try and reach out to Cassie.
Both promise that they will at least try.
Later, Rex and a nervous Mimi are outside of Tuscany with her
saying they will never get away with it. About then, Marlena,
Sami and Belle walk up asking "get away with what?" Rex
says THIS and grabs Mimi, planting a big one on her lips. Sami
comments "geez, get a room" as Marlena and her girls go
on inside. As everyone arrives inside, they are greeted by Maggie.
Everyone takes their places around the table as Marlena talks
about Rex's accomplishments. Sami (being Sami) cracks something
about his genetically engineered brain as everyone stares at her.
Sami is anxious to get started and can't wait for Tony to arrive
so she starts on her salad. As Tony arrives, Mimi "accidentally"
knocks Sami's fork from the table and slips it in her purse.
Next, Cassie arrives with Lucas on her arm, much to Sami's dismay.
Mimi slips away from the table and secures Sami's for in a
plastic bag and marks it with her name. Sitting at the table,
Cassie points out that Marlena has 5 kids by three different
fathers and comments that she really gets around (SLAP). This
gets odd stares and silence from everyone. Marlena politely tells
her to shut up and proceeds to chew her out publicly. But Cassie
doesn't get the hint and continues her conversation, saying that
she thinks it odd that all her ex's are still a part of her life.
Mimi continues to steal forks and bag them as Tony almost catches
her and invites her back to the table. Back at the table, Rex
talks about family and wanting them all to get along and put the
bad blood between the Blacks and DiMeras behind them. Rex asks
Maggie to take a "family picture" so everyone troops
over there and poses together. Sami tries to get a few words with
Tony about what happened earlier (at the club) as Marlena
overhears. After the pictures (including one of just Marlena,
Tony, Rex and Cassie) Sami pulls Tony aside again. This time both
Marlena and John are eaves dropping from around the corner and
hear the conversation. After Tony walks off, the call her on it.
She tries to explain, but Marlena is upset that Tony put her in
danger. She warns her to stay away from Tony. Rex and Mimi
compare notes as she explains that she got forks from Sami and
Tony as Rex has one of Marlena's hairs. Belle, Mimi and Cassie
talk about Lucas as Sami calls him a loser. Cassie says that is
odd, because everyone says the same about Sami. Tony pulls Lucas
aside and chastises him about not following his orders about
staying away from Cassie. Rex and Mimi leave the party and go
back to DiMansion. In his room, Rex is anxious to get started on
his experiments, but Mimi at least wants a thank you, so he
kisses her. He decides that the work can wait as they continue
kissing. Back at Tuscany, John jumps Tony for putting Sami in
danger and warns him to stay away from his family. Later, he
tells a worried Marlena about warning Tony. But inside, Tony
approaches Sami with a proposition that seems to be right up her
alley. Sami is intrigued as Tony explains he needs her help,
terminating John and Marlena's marriage.
At Jack & Jennifer's House
Hope is there with them as they plan the wedding. They talk about
Bo's mission as Jen can tell that Hope is worried about him. They
are discussing flowers, etc. when their producer (Barry) arrives
with a surprise. He has a huge bag of fan mail for them and
proceeds to dump it out on the coffee table. He says that all
their fans want to attend the wedding and he suggests that they
have it on live TV. Jack is dead set against the idea but later,
as Jen reads some of the letters, she is touched. They call Hope
from the kitchen and want her opinion. She reminds them that it
is their wedding and it's up to them and they decide to go
through with it, even though they fear that their family will
think they are crazy. Jack is leaving for the station as Hope
tells Jen that she has to get ready for her bachelorette party
that she is hosting. As Jen excitedly rushes upstairs, Jack gives
Hope a peck on the cheek and thanks her for all her help. As Hope
sits alone and worries about Bo, she takes out her phone and
calls him.
Meanwhile, In Oklahoma Bo is closing in on Ramsel. He stops
at a pool hall/bar, asking the unsavory patrons for their help.
He orders breakfast (2 eggs, a shot of vodka and a splash of
tobasco, YUK) and gulps it down to "jump start his day".
The guys try to slip out (they seem to be afraid of him). LOL as
he whips out a picture of Ramsel and they all duck for cover. He
passes the picture around and one guy recognizes him, but won't
talk. Bo pays his bill and leaves and as soon as he is gone,
another guy (Jake) calls Ramsel. Bo comes back in and catches him
and sits him down, demanding his phone. He scares the bejesus out
of the guy and takes him phone, getting the number from it. He
warns Jake not to call Ramsel back and Jake skedattles out of
there. While sitting there, Hope calls, telling him that she
misses him. He gives her an update on his progress and she is
worried and urges him to call the local police and let them
handle it. But he insists he must handle it alone. She asks what
he is going to do next as he admits he doesn't know, as the
previews begin.
Preview:
Nicole throws a glass vase (or a liquor bottle, couldn't tell)
and hits Victor in the back of the head. As he lies on the floor,
she says "That got your attention, didn't it?", Lucas
tells Tony that Sami has always made his life a living hell and
he has never had the chance to pay her back. Tony tells him when
he is finished with her, she's all his. Smiling, Lucas says
that's all he needs to know, Philip (in his dress blues) tells
Belle that he is proud of his mission. She asks what it is as he
tells her that it's classified (as we see him with a gun).

TUESDAY, MAY 20, 2003

Brady takes Chloe to the Blue Note, Philip stops by to see
Victor, LIB makes life difficult for Belle and Shawn, Lucas
enjoys working with Tony.
Blue Note
Brady takes Chloe to the empty Blue Note. She enjoys being
unmasked in a public place. He tells her about Cecelia Marin
coming to hear her sing. Chloe's nervous, saying she's not ready.
He explains Cecelia has resigned from Julliard and is going to
work in Paris, so it has to be now. He introduces David Evans,
who's there to accompany her on the piano. Chloe tries a few
scales, coughs, can't do it. David leaves, refusing $$ from Brady.
Brady massages her shoulders, starts the IT TAKES TWO song from
Grease and Chloe joins him, relieved she can sing after all.
Philip arrives at the end of the show and sees them sitting on
the stage, obviously in love and happy as they sing. (Will miss
this duo's singing after Nadia leaves)
Kiriakis Mansion
Phil arrives in his marine uniform, Nico answers the door. Nicole
greets him with a hug and she learns Vic's been emailing Philip
glowing reports of his new marriage. She tries to clue Philip in,
but Victor joins them and pretends all's well. Philip only came
to say hi (just barely too) and leaves. Nicole and Victor argue
and as he beckons Nico to come downstairs, she tosses a vase at
his back and he collapses unconscious. Nicole nervously watches
as Nico arrives and tells her to call 911. Victor lifts his head
and tells them no and orders Nico to lock Nicole in her room as
she pleads unsuccessfully for him not to lock her in. Victor has
blood on his neck (sure looked like the vase hit him mid back
though ;-)
DiMera Mansion
Lucas arrives to see Tony and Cassie (before she goes to the pub).
Cassie drops her purse as a ploy to get closer to Lucas. Tony
interrupts and he and Lucas chat in the study. Lucas is impressed
by how powerful Tony is. Sami arrives (after the pub, doubt
Will's taking piano lessons there though) and Tony tells Lucas to
hide and eavesdrop on their conversation before she enters the
room. Sami informs Tony about her engagement, how happy she is
and without saying how, says she has taken care of the Lexie/Brandon
sleeping together situation. She tells Tony that she and him are
kindred spirits and she's now a changed woman. She won't say how
she resolved the Brandon/Lexie situation, but Lucas is intrigued.
Sami leaves (useless visit in my opinion) and Lucas tells Tony he
enjoyed their exchange and his own goal is to see Sami crash and
burn. Tony said after he finishes using Sami to get at John,
Lucas can have her. He offers Lucas a drink which he accepts to
celebrate the occasion. Outside Sami calls Brandon and leaves him
a message that she wants to get married right away.
Brady Pub
Belle and Sami briefly talk about their new sibs as Sami leaves
to pick Will up from his piano lesson (?). Shawn arrives after
his ball game wearing his Salem Eagles jersey, proud of his
homerun which scored 3 of the 7 runs they needed to win. Belle
comments on his needing a shower and they get up to go to the
dorm for him to do so before going out. A few girls stop them
after recognizing Belle from LIB and rudely interrogate Belle and
Shawn as to their relationship. Philip arrives, cozying up to
Belle as a show for their fans and reminds Belle of their grocery
store opening and tells her about Gabby's frantic search for her.
Belle finds 7 phone messages when she turns on her cell and Gabby
calls before she can even call her back. She later joins them at
the pub and rushes them out after Philip and Belle explain they
have work/studying to do and this is the last appearance (yeah,
right). Cassie arrives and persistently talks Shawn into studying
together, saying she's over him and just wants to be friends. He
finally agrees and they go to the pier as he throws softballs at
the barge while she quizzes him. He gets all the answers right
saying he thinks better being physical. Belle and Philip return
after the grand opening and talk. Philip is glad he joined the
marines as he needed meaning in his life and is proud of his
"classified" mission (he's just out of boot camp and on
a classified mission already???). Shawn and Cassie return to the
pub after Belle and Philip do. Philip heads out and Cassie
follows offering him a ride. Shawn and Belle take a chance as he
scurries to her side of the booth and kisses her. We see Philip
alone on the pier as he pulls a rifle out of his duffel bag and
looks through the site.

WEDNESDAY, MAY 21ST, 2003

The day is full of surprises, as Jen's bachlorette party begins,
Rex gets partial results, Chloe's opportunity arrives, and Bo's
adventure takes him to Texas. Dena Higley's name is back on the
credits today.
At The Deveraux Home, Jen is pacing back &
forth, as Jack comes downstairs, overnight bag in hand. They both
have the pre-wedding jitters, as Jack is going to spend the night
with Jo & Vern, & they talk of WHY they are allowing
their wedding to be on TV tomorrow. That this wedding is for her,
him & Abby, and nothing can change that for them. Jack says
something about Jen's family being so scattered, with Bill in
Africa, Laura gone, aunts, uncles, etc... and this way they can
share with everyone (thought that program was a local one???
Hmmmm.) They worry about Bill Horton's THIRD gift, being the lst
was that bintorang (or whatever, sorry I know that is spelled
wrong, no letters, please, lolol), and then the television show.
They kiss.
Later, Jack received a phone call from Bo (see below) while he is
being fitted for his tux. He gets the info that Bo wanted and
calls him back, then leaves.
At The Blue Note, Chloe is talking with Nancy, and is
extremely nervous about her upcoming audition, which is to be a
private one with only a few people there. Philip arrives, to
everyone's surprise, except Brady's. He invited Philip. Nancy is
not too happy, but Chloe is fine with it. Brady calms down a
nervous Chloe by showing her a stuffed pig he has in a bag,
reminding her that the great Cecelia Marin had humble beginnings
as a hog caller. (almost forgot about that, lolol) Cecelia
arrives, looking for handsome Craig with the wonderful fingers.
Nancy tells her the wonderful fingers are in surgery right now,
saving someone's life. Ms. Marin is clearly disappointed (as are
we, love Craig, too & am soooooo gonna miss Craig & Nancy).
Chloe is introduced, the pianist plays her intro, and Chloe
freezes, unable to utter a note.
In Rex's Room, he is working furiously at the computer
when Mimi arrives. He doesn't even glance at her, not having time
for her now. She sits on bed, takes off her sweater, and strikes
a pose in her sexy red dress (looks really good on her) to try
and entice him. He loves the dress but won't be distracted. Says
he is awaiting results of all the other DNA tests from a lab (good
for you, Rex, glad you were smart enuf to do that). He explains
why he wants to know his genetic makeup, not knowing if he will
get smarter, dumber, spiral out of control, etc. etc. Mimi kisses
him, suggests going to eat in her new car. (Ah, Meems already
spent some of her $50,000, lol). They return later, with Chinese,
as Meems comments on Rex's fast driving. They fall onto the bed,
kiss, kiss, as a bell dings, a fax is coming in. Rex jumps up,
notes it is results from Belle's DNA, is astonished, says
something is wrong, and becomes very angry.
Hope, Marlena & Belle, arrive at Club Echelon, to be
greeted by a handsome waiter! Within a minute or so, Cassie &
Sami arrive together, having bumped into each other in the
parking lot, where, Cassie complains, Sami took her spot. Sami
says she did not see her name on it. LOL. The place is full of
male waiters, and one is even sitting up there behind the bar,
reading the required book. Ha! (Sorry, folks, I just cannot
believe Hope would plan a party for Jen at ECHELON!) Cassie is
looking for men, and smiles at the hunky waiters. Later all are
seated at a long table, decorated, and Kate & Lexie have
joined the group. Maggie arrives, then Jen & the waiter takes
drink orders. Jen gets champagne, as does Marlena, Maggie, Lexie
& Belle get mineral water, Sami wants a blended Margarita ñ
no salt, while Kate gets a dry martini. Belle pointedly makes a
remark to Cassie of being under age so not drinking alcohol. LOL.
Cassie makes her usual faux paux, blurting out how weird of Jen
& Jack to be getting married again after having been divorced.
Gift bags await everyone from Basic Black. Their new perfume,
which Belle asks Cassie to put on her wrist, so the waiter can
smell, and he says it is devastating. AND then, there is a little
plastic bag containing, oh what else, but Basic Black's new line
of Day of the Week panties, designed by Belle Black, as Sami
compliments Belle, telling her these are really HOT! (rotfl)
Lucas arrives, signals a waiter to come over. He & Sami
accidentally bump into each other as she goes out to her car to
retrieve her gift. The waiter brings Lucas a drink (no idea if
club soda with a twist, or a Tom Collins, it is a tall glass),
Lucas puts an envelope in the guy's breast pocket. Kate spots
Lucas & comes out, wondering what he is doing there. Lucas
finally admits he is earning a living, and is working for Tony.
Kate is furious, cannot believe it and then just faints. Everyone
comes out, Marlena is caring for Kate, when Sami walks back in,
commenting that it has been a long time since she has seen Kate
passed out on the floor. (Tsk, tsk, Sami, the last time you
walked by Kate passed out on the floor was at the hospital, where
she was bleeding). (O.K. to be fair, I know Sami was just making
a snide remark, but our memories are better than hers, LOLOL).
Kate comes to, claims she is fine, warns Belle & Cassie the
error of having a drink on an empty stomach, and all go in to eat.
Kate stays, tho, trying to warn Lucas about working for a DiMera.
She tells him she knows whereof she speaks, as she was in
business w/Stefano years ago when she was very young, and it was
a big mistake. Everyone is eating, having a lot of fun, when Jack
bursts in. The waiter tells him the place is closed, as it is
"ladies night ñ no men allowed". (Do Gentlemen's Clubs
have that??). But Jack is persistant, Jen says it is O.K., gets
up, as Jack tells her he was just missing her so much and wanted
to see her. He is professing his love, the table of ladies all
"awwwwwing" (BTW, Cassie has disappeared, after coming
on to the hunky waiter, and him whispering in her ear), and Hope
flashes back to the speech Bo made to her at their wedding. (Wonderful
FB!) Jack & Jen kiss.
In Texas, Bo arrives at a little grocery store/restaurant
combo to see some thug walking out with an armful of groceries he
wasn't planning on paying for, despite the young clerk's plea. Bo
challenges him, the guy pays, leaves, the kid thanks Bo, who
orders chicken fajitas. They chat, as Bo rhapsodizes about his
beautiful wife and wonderful boys back home, and how he misses
them. As he eats, he calls Jack, telling him he got a phone
number where to find Vin Ramsell, and it is a hotel in a Texas
border town, called Del Rio. Wants background info. Jack promises
to get on it, and the kid, Carlos, tells Bo the Del Rio is a bad
place. His mother comes in, hearing a bit, and tells Bo that the
place is evil, and he should eat and leave, as she wants nothing
to do with him, if he wants to be there. She leaves the room,
Carlos says his dad was making a delivery there a couple of years
ago, got caught in the crossfire of a drug deal gone bad, and was
killed. The police do nothing.
Jack calls Bo back, telling him place is run by Jasper, who
served time in same cell block as Vin. Bo shows up at the Del Rio
next, chats up the bartender who turns out to be Jasper, pretends
he just got out of prison, drops a few prison names, including
Vin Ramsell. Vin is gone fishing, may be gone a week. (Yeah,
right). Bo has already downed some Mescal (whatever that is)
straight from the bottle, and orders a beer, saying he will wait.
Asks for a room, Jasper wants to be paid in advance, and Bo
brings out a wad of dough. The two unsavory types sitting at a
table, have been watching, listening, and now nod at each other.
Jasper leaves, they both get up. Bo picks up the empty bottle,
smashes it on the bar, turns around to face the two thugs, with a
huge grin on his face.
Preview:
Chloe freezing up, saying she can't sing, and Brady saying she
can't quit, Vin Ramsell being told some guy is looking for him
& asking who, as the camera shows Bo's face, Nicole to Victor
"You feeling lucky, old man? You wanna go for a major
coronary?" As Victor says, "Try me!" Belle to
Shawn "Speaking of Philip, he left without saying goodbye"
Philip is shining a flashlight on the pier out onto the water, as
a female voice startles him, saying "Philip?"

THURSDAY, MAY 22ND, 2003

Chloe nearly blows her big chance, Bo's prey is closer
than he thinks, Rex confirms one of his DNA tests (Linda had a
problem, so bear with me, did not take notes, lol)
At The Blue Note, Chloe falters several times,
as both Belle & Shawn, then Victor & Nicole arrive. (Earlier
Victor had ordered an unwilling Nicole to get dressed and go with
him, for Brady's sake, even choosing her dress). Brady keeps
giving her encouraging looks, while Nancy looks anxious, and
Cecilia Marin is disapproving. Brady finally announces a change
in repertoire, grabs the mike, and begins the male half of an
operatic duet. He sings a few lines, Chloe relaxes, sings back,
then goes solo. It is a short aria, everyone stands up &
applauds, including Ms. Marin, tho she is barely tapping her
hands together.
Philip slips out, Victor talks privately with Ms. Marin, with an
interested Nicole watching. She has ordered a couple of martini's
and tho Vic doesn't like it, she knows he won't make a scene.
Chloe is tired and wants to go home, but Nancy wants to talk w/her
a few minutes, so Brady goes for the car. Nancy tells Chloe how
proud she is of her, how happy to have reconnected with her.
Chloe says Bueno Note' (think it means good or beautiful night),
and says she has to work on her Italian. Nancy says no you don't,
you're perfect, as she caresses Chloe's head. Then Nancy says,
"Don't change a hair for me, not if you care for me."
Chloe smiles, they hug, and tell each other they love each other,
and both have tears in their eyes. (So did I, folks, as I have a
sneaking suspicion this was the last time we will see Nancy and
those words, they are partial lyrics from the song, My Funny
Valentine. Jeez, am tearing up as I write this, cuz I am so gonna
miss Nancy & Craig, hate it that he was not there for her
audition). Nancy wishes her daughter, Godspeed, picks up her
purse, and leaves. Chloe looks after her with tears running down
her face. (Love you, Nancy!) Belle & Shawn dance, as he
cannot believe he has her in his arms, without her having to rush
off to a supermarket opening with Philip. Belle wonders why he
disappeared w/o even saying goodbye. Brady talks to his
grandfather while Chloe is talking w/Nancy. Chloe pops up, giving
Brady a hard time about filling a place like the Blue Note with
opera music, and that is not the way to run the club, it's
service, mood, food, dance, etc.
Rex Is Still Upset over the DNA results on Belle, and
decides he must have done something wrong on his own, so is back
at the computer. Mimi gets a call from one of her admirers, Matt,
inviting her for a lattee. Rex tells her to go, so she agrees to
meet the guy at the coffee shop by the river (oh, GMAB, any other
time it is dot.com or Java Café). Off she goes, and Rex redoes
all his research. He cannot believe it, Belle is definitely NOT
his sister. (BTW, it is mentioned a couple of times that Mimi
took forks from Sami, Belle & Marlena, no one else, so those
are his only DNA samples).
On The Pier Philip is in a full wet suit, oxygen tank on
his back, and slips into the water. (Ah, thus the mention of Navy
SEAL training earlier). He later climbs out, takes off his gear,
noting a cut on his left arm that is bleeding. After he is
dressed, he takes a flashlight, and begins signaling (I think in
Morse code) out in the direction of the water. A voice startles
him, as Mimi appears, wondering what he is doing. He claims to
have thought he saw something, but was only a beer can. (Tsk on
whoever threw it into the river, there are recycle containers for
those). She talks about her new car, promises to take him for a
ride sometime, they hug, and she leaves. Phil resumes signaling.
At The Wesley Home, Chloe & Brady sit on the sofa,
talking about the evening, her dreams, the full life she has now,
learning Craig is her dad, surviving leukemia, & how can she
leave Salem now. Brady talks about the music business that will
require him to take trips to NY, how Titan will get him an apt.
there, and life will be great. Suddenly Chloe is not so tired
anymore, they begin to make out on the sofa (& her mother is
WHERE? Asleep? Not home yet? )
Mr. & Mrs. Kiriakis have arrived home and are in Nicole's
room, as she taunts Victor with her knowledge that he is up to
something with Ms. Marin. Victor begins to leave, then shuts the
door, locks it from the inside, and begins to undo his tie. He
approaches Nik, kisses her, and she asks if he is feeling lucky,
and if he wants a full coronary. Try me, he retorts as he grabs
and kisses her again.
In Texas Bo has a brawl with the two thugs, and definitely
holds his own. Back at home, Hope gets a feeling about him and
calls. Bo tries to call a timeout to answer his phone (ROTFL!!!)
as the goons stare in disbelief, saying you can't call a timeout
in a fight. O.K. He karate foots them both, kicks them out,
answers his phone, oops, too late. Jasper gives him a shot, and
directions to the nearest spot to get some food. Bo calls Hope,
who he knows was worried, & when she says she is joining him,
tells her to stay put at home. Ha! Bo leaves, in comes Vin
Ramsell. It appears his "fishing" expedition was
unsuccessful, as the fish never made it over the border. (Must be
talking drugs). Jasper tells him some guy from prison is looking
for him, but Vin doesn't want to hook up with anyone he knew
there, so takes his keys and goes upstairs. Hope has called
Caroline, asking her to mind Zack after the wedding, so she can
join Bo. Meanwhile, Bo returns, Jasper claims no word from Vin,
but Bo says he will hang around for a a while, and goes upstairs.
Preview:

Victor makes Nicole pay for her misconduct, Chloe gets an offer
she finds it hard to refuse, Marlena pays a visit to the
DiMansion, receiving a shocking surprise, and as Jack and
Jennifer prepare for their wedding, Bill Horton's third and final
gift arrives in Salem.
At The Kiriakis Mansion
Nicole is having a liquid breakfast (if you know what I mean) as
Victor complains about her behavior the night before. (However,
it seems that he had his way with her first;-) She talks about
how cruel he is to her and he warns her that her behavior will
NOT go unpunished. She accuses him of being in cahoots with
Cecilia Marin in an effort to break up Chloe and Brady. But he
assures her it's a professional relationship and that he is only
testing Brady's judgment. Nicole asks about going to Jack and
Jen's wedding but Victor puts the brakes on that, saying he
doesn't want her to embarrass him again and may never let her out
of the house again. He then banishes her to her room. She is
furious and wants to go to the wedding but gives into him and
heads upstairs as he smiles to himself. Later, Philip arrives (after
seeing Chloe and Philip, see below) to get a few of this personal
things and they sit to talk. They catch up as Victor is hoping
that Philip stays out of harm's way. They talk about 911 and the
war, as Victor hopes the war is over before Philip is deployed.
Victor asks his opinion of Brady heading the Titan music division
and Philip tells him that he is glad if not him, he is glad that
Victor has Brady to carry on. After Victor leaves for the
Penthouse Grill (where the wedding is to be), we see Nicole
pacing her room. She tries to get out but the door is locked from
the outside. She looks at her wedding picture and says she hates
Victor, throwing it and smashing against the wall. Philip hears
the commotion from the hall and asks if she is okay. She begs him
to get her out of there.
At The Wesley House
Chloe and Brady are celebrating over breakfast when Philip
arrives to congratulate Chloe. Brady isn't too pleased to see
him, but they are civil to each other. He is touched to see that
Chloe is wearing the pin he gave her and she invites him to
breakfast. But Philip is nervous about Nancy seeing him there.
She informs him that Nancy and Joy have gone shopping and he is
safe. But when Cecilia arrives, Philip slips out. She tells Chloe
that there is no way she can attend Juliard. Chloe is shocked by
this news and believes that Cecilia has had a change of heart.
Brady goes ballistic, but Cecelia explains that she wants to
offer Chloe a job. Chloe is in shock as Cecilia invites her to
join her European touring company and wants an answer immediately.
Chloe says she needs to discuss it with her parents first. But
Cecilia wants her answer and needs her total commitment. She says
to call her with her decision at the Salem Inn and leaves.
At DiMansion
Lucas arrives and learns that Tony is expecting some important
associates from New York and wants Lucas to sit in. The 2 men
arrive as Lucas lets them in after searching them. But before he
can shut the door, Marlena walks up, asking what is he doing
there. Lucas informs her that he is now working for Tony, which
disturbs her, with her saying that he isn't as smart as she
thought. She asks if Sami knows this and he says it is none of
her business. Marlena corrects him, telling him that if Sami
finds out she could go for full custody of Will. She says that if
she is called to testify on Sami's behalf, she would do so. Tony
(who has been listening) says that Marlena would never cross him
like that. She informs Tony that he has no say over what she does
and if she feels that Lucas is doing something wrong, would have
no problem telling Sami. The spider (Tony) invites the fly (Marlena)
into his parlor as Lucas gets a frantic call from Jack (looking
for his ring, it seems that Lucas is the best man for the wedding.)
After Lucas assures him that he has it, he promises to meet him
later at the Penthouse Grill. In the den, Marlena questions Tony
about his goings on, saying that she is only looking out for the
safety of her children, pointing out how he put Sami in danger at
the Blue Note. She says she is determined to remove Rex and
Cassie from this house. Tony says that there is only one reason
she is there and wants the same thing he does, each other. He
grabs her and kisses a startled Marlena hard on the lips. She
pushes him away and proceeds to slap that smirk right off his
face. She says "How dare you! NEVER do that again",
grabs her purse and storms out. Later, after Tony's guests have
left, he and Lucas talk about the meeting and Tony tells Lucas
that he is just as sharp as his mother and just as ruthless. Tony
wants to make sure that Lucas is up to the job. Lucas assures him
that he will not regret hiring him.
At The Penthouse
Ops comes by to see John with some important info, telling him
that Lucas is now under Tony's employ. John is disturbed and
can't believe it. He sasy that Lucas is a fool and says he will
try to talk some sense into him at the wedding. While the wedding
is going on, John wants Ops to break into Lucas's place and bug
it, but Ops doesn't want to. Ops advises John to remove himself
from the DiMera case, but John refuses. He swears that if Tony
hurts his family, he may kill the SOB. Marlena arrives upset and
tells John she has disturbing news. She tells them about Lucas
working for Tony and they tell her they just found out as well.
After Ops leaves, Marlena asks John if they still have Tony under
surveillance, and is glad to hear that they do. She says that
Tony must be stopped, before it's too late. John asks if Tony has
hurt her, but she says no, she just hates the fact that Lucas is
being sucked in to the DiMera world. John promises her that he
will talk to Lucas. Tony calls as Marlena answers the phone, but
hangs up on him, telling John it was no one. She tells John that
Tony is out to destroy them and needs to be stopped. John assures
her that nothing is going to happen to her or the family and hugs
her.
Wedding Preparations
There is chaos at the Deveraux house as Jen is rushing around and
Hope tries to hurry her up. They are headed for a day at the
salon, but Jennifer still can't believe that she was talked into
televising their wedding. Jack shows up as Jen hides and Hope
tries to keep him from seeing Jen. But he tricks them and gets to
see her. As Hope and Jen leave, Shmenkman (the producer) arrives.
Going through his list, Jack realizes that he doesn't have the
ring and panics. He calls Lucas (his best man) and his mind is
put to ease. Then, he realizes that he and Jen have the wrong
vows, so he rushes off to the salon to exchange them.
Jen and Hope are enjoying themselves at the spa as Jen only
wishes that her mom and dad could be there, along with Mike and
Carrie. We also learn that Doug and Julie won't be in attendance
(they are on a cruise). Hope wishes Bo could be there and then
informs Jen that she is taking off to meet up with him afterwards.
She rushes off to go home and pack a bag so she will be ready to
leave right after the wedding. Jen gets a message from Jack
informing her that he has arranged for her to have a facial as
well. As Gloria is doing the facial, Jack sneaks in and goes
through Jen's purse. Jen (who has cucumber slices on her eyes)
smells his cologne, but Gloria covers, saying it's what HER
husband wears. As Jack is digging through her purse, he cell
phone begins ringing, but Gloria convinces her to let them leave
a message. Jack gets what he came for and sneaks out. Hope rushes
back in, telling Jen that Jack is up to something, his car is in
the parking lot. Jack returns home, mission accomplished.
Shmenkman leaves as Jack gets a disturbing call, Bill Horton's
third gift is due to arrive in Salem today. Also, as Hope and Jen
are finishing up at the salon, Jen gets a call from Jack, telling
her about the gift and she is worried as well. The doorbell rings
as Jack answers it. He opens the door, looks up and down and says
"I don't believe it" with closing shot on Jack's
surprised face.
Preview:
Abby says to reporters "My mommy and daddy are getting
married today!" As we see Hope asking Jen if she is ready.
Jen says "let's get this show on the road", Jack is
asking "where is the best man?" as we see Lucas asking
Victor if they have a deal. Victor says yes and they shake on it.
Philip is asking Nicole what is going on as she tells him she is
locked in her room. Then we see him kicking down the door.
Laney
