MONDAY, APRIL 21ST, 2003

This is a fun, light-hearted show, which focuses mainly on Jack
and Jennifer's "In the House Show". "In the House"
meets "Love is Blind" and Jack goes for a "new"
look, Lexie confides in Hope, the green-eyed monster in Sami
awakens, Bo gets some bad news, Rex's project nears completion.
Dot Com
Gabby meets up with Belle, Mimi and Cassie as they get ready to
head over to Jack and Jen's house to appear on "In the House".
Mimi is nervous and afraid that she may reveal something she
shouldn't. Shawn comes by to talk with Belle. He wants to know
how the show turned out (they have finished taping apparently,
but it hasn't aired yet). But Belle won't reveal anything to him
and they all head over to J&J's.
Also at dotCom, Bo, Hope, Lexie and Zack are having breakfast (what?
passing on the usual free breakfast at the pub?) They have a
small TV at their table so they can watch "In the House"
(apparently it's a live show). Bo gets a call from Abe demanding
he come down to the station NOW. Bo complains because it's his
day off but he heads off anyway. Later, as Hope and Lexie watch
the show (see below), Hope gets a real kick about seeing Shawn on
the show too (she didn't know he was going to be on, and neither
did Shawn, Jennifer sort of surprised him). Hope and Lexie talk
about young love as Lexie points out that Hope and Bo were about
the same age when they fell in love. Hope agrees that it WAS a
bumpy ride at times. This segues to Lexie talking about her and
Abe's troubles. She confides in Hope and tells her about when she
and Abe were having trouble and she hit rock bottom and turned to
Brandon. She also tells her that one night, they went too far.
Hope is stunned, to say the! least and asks Lexie if there is any
chance that Brandon is the father. Lexie assures her that is not
the case, she had a paternity test. But, she also tells her about
how strange Brandon is acting and that Abe is a bit suspicious.
She says if this ever got out, it would ruin her marriage.
The Green-Eyed Monster Named Sami
Over breakfast at Sami's place Brandon tells her he has an
important question for her and hands her an envelope. She opens
it to find an invitation to a weekend away. He jokes about what
he had to do to get Brenda to give Sami 2 days off. They are
planning to leave tonight so Sami needs to ask Lucas to watch
Will (who does NOT want her to go, they had plans). He gets angry
and stomps over to Lucas's apartment with Sami following. They
meet Denise (Lucas's new girlfriend) and Will takes up with her
immediately, she is a huge baseball fan. Sami is NOT liking this
at all and (to Lucas) begins insulting Denise, calling her a
bimbo, etc. Lucas explains she is a really nice girl and is a
teacher and is great with kids. Denise goes on and on about Will
as he shares a paper with her that he wrote and Will is just
eating this all up. Sami (who is steaming by now) asks Lucas what
such a "nice girl" sees in HIM. Lucas says whatever it
is, ! Sami saw it once. She scoffs at him, saying that he was
just a roadblock in her path to romance. Lucas retorts with
asking if Brandon is "the king of the road". (Man,
gotta LOVE these 2. When they quibble, the shine). Lucas says he
can't watch Will tonight, for he and Denise have a date and Sami
fumes. But Denise steps in and says they can order pizza, rent a
movie and they three will have a great night. Lucas agrees,
saying it is a plan, as Sami stews in her juices. As Sami goes to
leave, Will can't tear himself away from Denise, even to give his
mother a hug, but he finally does, then right back to Denise.
Later, Brandon returns home as Sami mutters about Denise. She
says she is so pretty, nice and skinny she makes her puke. She
mentions her name and Brandon asks her for a description. He is
amazed, thinking he knows her. He rushes over there and yes, it
seems they went to college together and he hasn't seen her for
years and they hug, just in time for Sami to walk up and see them.
As Sami and Brandon leave, Denise calls for him as Sami stomps
home, saying "to hell with Denise!" Later, Brandon
comes home, not understanding what is wrong with Sami. She
doesn't want to talk about DENISE anymore, but hears them in the
hall. She peeps out the door to see Denise and Will together and
it makes her furious. Sami's and Lucas's eyes lock and they share
a stare. Sami's eyes are shooting daggers as Lucas's eyes are
laughing.
Over At DiMansion
Rex is only in a couple short scenes, but he is seen working in
his room on his project. He is keeping an eye on his gadget via a
remote camera and making notes in a tape recorder. He says one
more component and it is ready to execute. Later in the show he
leaves.
'Who's In the House?' Meets 'Love is Blind'
Oh, this is fun! There is pandemonium at the Deveraux house
before their next show as Barry arrives (their director Ralph's
brother) as their NEW director. Jen calls Jack to the kitchen,
where she is having her makeup done. Jack has an outline for the
show, but Jen isn't so sure because even though it is fun, Jack
is the brunt of all the jokes. He points out that he wants her to
be seen in the best light (figuratively and literally) as he
gives instructions to the lighting crew. The show begins as they
welcome their special guests, Belle, Cassie and Mimi from ėLove
is Blind'. But first, Jen starts in on Jack about his wardrobe
and they decide to conduct a poll about it. They are going to
have Jack try three different new looks and let the audience vote
on them. They talk about the 'LIB' show and the premise. Jack
jokes around about how the "hunk" may have fallen out
of the "ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down".
Cassie becomes concerned that this is like the Joe Millionaire
show (where the women thought he was rich and he wasn't. She
fears that the "hunk" may be a dog.) But Gabby assures
her that isn't the case. Mimi is so nervous, she tells Belle that
she is breaking out in a rash. Anyway, Jen sends Jack upstairs
for his first look and he returns in black leather. She asks the
girls for their opinions. Belle and Mimi don't like it, but are
nice with their remarks. Cassie says he looks like an IDIOT. (Personally,
I think he looks like he raided Bo's closet, haha). He does a few
turns then returns upstairs for #2. He returns in a black suit
with his hair slicked back. Jen asks the girls to vote. Belle
gives him a 9.9, Mimi a 7.5 and Cassie a 0.0 (with a note
scribbled below that says GROSS). As Jack goes to change,
Jennifer introduces Shawn as Belle's boyfriend (Belle corrects
her with EX boyfriend) and asks how he feels about the LIB show.
He says he doesn't like it and voices ! his concerns. Jennifer
asks the audience to weigh in on it as well. Ja ck comes down
with the final look, a retro 70's hippie look with his hair
straight down in his eyes and everyone gets a good laugh as Jack
really hams it up. They show all three looks on screen with a
number to call for their favorite. Jen announces that the
audience split on the Belle/Shawn story and she and Jack sign off.
After the cameras stop, Gabby gathers the girls and they head off.
Belle asks if they can stop by the hospital so she can visit a
friend (I assume Chloe). As she is leaving, Jen tries to get
Belle to tell her the outcome of the show, but she won't say a
word.
At The Cop Shop
Bo arrives and Abe informs him that the judge refused bail on
Carson Palmer and Bo is thrilled. But Abe is concerned that the
charges won't stick. Abe has gone over Roman's report and is
concerned that Bo almost blew the case, by going in without a
warrant OR probable cause. But Bo defends his actions as Abe
rails him out for not following procedure. A frustrated Bo tries
to explain that he has his own way of doing things, but Abe wants
him ot do things by the book. Abe assures him that he IS on his
side, but they MUST follow the rules. He informs Bo that Vin
Ramsel is now out on bail which infuriates Bo and he goes to
leave. Abe stops him and tells him not to even THINK of going
after him and that's an order. Bo says if Ramsel beats this rap,
screw the rules, he is taking the bastard down himself!, and the
previews roll.
Preview:
Belle tells Chloe that when she gets out, they are going to
throw her a huge party. Chloe says that she is far from being
cured. Tony tells Marlena that he does not want to see her in
pain. She says she does not trust him. Bo tells Roman that he
hopes that Vin comes after him as we hear Vin telling Chaz that
he knows how to get back at Bo Brady, through Shawn-boy, as we
see Shawn and Belle kissing. And the credits roll.

Bo vows to make Salem safer, John catches Tony off guard, Cassie
helps Vin Ramsel, Chloe's growing restless.
DotCom
Rex tunes out Cassie's non stop chatter about herself as he
awaits a delivery. The guy arrives and they step out front. The
guy wants $1500, but Rex only has $1300 on him (the original
price was $1200, but the guy increased the price). Rex goes
inside to borrow $200 from Cassie, but she's not giving it up
without an explanation. He tells her it's for lab equipment he
needs. She gives him the cash and he pays the guy and grabs the
envelope with the part he needed. (handy for the teens to have an
unlimited ATM card). Chaz arrives at dotCom and joins Cassie.
He's ready to party. Vin Ramsel joins them and refers to Cassie
as his favorite party gal. Cassie refers to him as Salem's
favorite drug dealer and asks if it's a hobby or his career.
Shawn arrives and joins Brady at the counter. He decided to let
Belle and Chloe talk alone at the hospital. Brady mentions
Chloe's impatience on getting out of the hospital.
Hospital
Belle is happy with Chloe's progress and suggests a party for her
when she gets out. Chloe's morose behavior concerns Belle. Chloe
just wants to go home and asks to change the subject. Her life's
been dull watching every boring show on tv..and they talk about
Love is Blind, saying she's anxious to see the show. Belle fills
Chloe in on her and Shawn and figures if she and Brady can fight
cancer together, she and Shawn can face anything. Later Brady
joins Chloe. She talks about her restlessness and tells him how
Belle saw her stuffed butterfly and asked if Brady got it for her
because of Madame Butterfly. Brady tells her that Belle doesn't
know how Madame Butterfly ends and just knows that Chloe will be
singing again soon. Chloe tells him about the life lessons she's
learned being sick and why her voice should soar now. She wants
to get well quickly, but can't forget this urgent feeling to live
her life well. (if the Wesley's have to leave town, maybe they'll
all move to NYC for Chloe to go to school and can come back
sometime in the future). Brady admits this experience (and her)
has changed him too. When she leaves the hospital it'll be the
start of a new life for both of them. She gives him a list of
things she's like, including a new book by Jane Smiley. The nurse
comes to take her temperature and when Chloe asks about her
bloodwork, the nurse says Craig will be there shortly to tell her
the results! himself. Chloe gets anxious hearing this, thinking
it could only be bad news.
Titan Gym
Ops joins John in the steam room at the Titan Gym (wonder why
Basic Black doesn't have it's own gym, c'mon John!) and updates
him on the bug he just planted on Tony's limo. John knows Tony's
playing squash down the hall, but mentions Marlena's also working
out there this morning. Ops recognized Marlena's shoes while he
was under Tony's limo and tells John (John mentions he didn't
tell Marlena that he would be there himself). We see Marlena
arrive (wearing her Brady Pub sweatshirt) and seeing the weight
area's busy, turns and runs into Tony. He figured she came to see
him, but she tells him she just came to work out. She asks if he
knows about Cassie and this dating game show though. He suggests
they talk about it at the juice bar and she agrees. Tony tries to
cozy up to Marlena due to their having children together, but she
stares him in the eye and tells him she doesn't trust him and
won't let him try to hurt her and John's marriage. Tony tells her
he knows her and she always puts other's needs first and it will
eat her alive, as he reaches over and puts his hand on hers. She
doesn't draw it away. She wants to set an example for the
children, including a sense of peace and security. They discuss
John's right to be part of the twin's lives. Tony suggests John
may be bugging their conversation, but Marlena denies it. John
walks in and Marlena accuses him of following her (he sure
showered and! dressed quickly!), asking what's wrong with him! He
explains about working at the gym and someone told him she was
there. She apologizes for jumping to the wrong conclusion, but
John admits the responsibility is his for her feeling that way.
Marlena's uncomfortable talking about this in front of Tony, but
John justifies his actions and as he puts his arm around Marlena.
He tells Tony he can tell him how much he loves this woman and if
Tony cares about his children, he'll stop wasting energy trying
to separate them (him and Marlena). Death won't even do that, so
Tony might as well stop trying. Marlena looks up John adoringly
hearing that. He suggests they go home, but Tony reminds her she
wanted to talk about Cassie. When Marlena pauses, John tells Tony
not to use his children as bargaining chips and tells Marlena
some news about Tony, how he owns the Echelon Club. She didn't
know what it is, so he refers to it as a "gentlemen's club".
Marlena is surprised and turns to look! at Tony, who quietly
listens. John asks if he's starting a new family business (good
one) and is he going to give Cassie a summer job there (ouch, but
Cassie would probably love it too). Tony rationalizes it gives
people jobs in time of economic distress, but John calls it what
it is, a whore house. Marlena decides it's time to leave and John
agrees. Alone, Tony is frustrated, but comes up with an idea to
fix everything.
Cop Shop
Bo gets upset at Roman for reporting his actions. Roman defends
his actions saying he was trying to save Bo's butt, not his own.
The brothers argue, both believing what they did was right. Bo
hopes Vin Ramsel does come after him and wants to show Roman
something. We see them next at Ben Well's grave (headstone). Bo's
frustrated with the system's loopholes and mentions how close
Shawn came to being convicted of something he didn't do. He also
credits Roman for looking out for him in his younger years as
well. Later, Roman returns with flowers for Ben's grave. They
both squat over the grave as Bo wishes he could have made a
difference and avoided this from happening. If he could have
helped keep Vin Ramsel off the streets in the past. Bo knows he
can't change the past, but he can change the future. Bo promises
Ben that he'll be back when he can give his word that Vin Ramsel
will never hurt anyone ever again.
Dot Com
Belle arrives and Shawn's still there. They talk about Brady and
Chloe and how they're handling Chloe's illness. They see Cassie
talking with Chaz and are concerned. Vin tells Cassie he's never
going to jail again and mentions Bo Brady. Cassie tells him he's
Shawn's father and Vin asks who Shawn is. Chaz says some freshman
and Cassie tells him Shawn's a close friend of hers. Cassie joins
Shawn and Belle, who clue Cassie in they don't believe Vin or
Chaz are innocent. Cassie is ticked when she turns to find the
guys gone. They've gone out front as Vin knows how to get back at
Bo. S&B decide to focus on each other instead of Cassie.
The Cave
Rex returns to his blaster in the cave and plugs the new part
into it. He turns it on and calibrates the instrument. He knew it
cost a pretty penny, but he should get good returns on his
investment (does he think he'll be mining coal?). Patting his new
blaster, he thinks it'll be the beginning of a beautiful
relationship (sorry, I think Mimi could make him happier myself,
ha!) Rex turns on his blaster and 3 red lights stream out as the
countdown begins. He talks into his microphone saying he'll be
more successful then both his father and grandfather if this
works, as the previews for Wednesday roll Mimi tells Rex if they
got together that neither of them has to be alone anymore. He
admits to being alone and not liking it. Chloe is happy and tells
Brady she's healthy as Craig and Nancy beam and Craig tells her
she can go home. Bo (wearing a ski hat?) and Hope are together
and she tells him it felt like the earth moved. Kissing her neck,
he tells her that he'll take that as a compliment. Cassie asks
Tony if he's going to steal mom away from John. Tony laughs, but
doesn't deny it, as the credits roll.
Linda
WEDNESDAY, APRIL 23RD,

Chloe gets good news, Victor puts his plans for Brady into
motion, Tony is learning the joys of parenthood, as Salem
residents begin to feel the earth move, especially Bo & Hope.
At Salem Hospital, Brady reassures a very worried Chloe,
as Craig & Nancy both arrive with the very good news. The
transplant worked, her blood counts are excellent, and she goes
home tomorrow. Nancy pours a sparkling cider toast for all, as
they rejoice in their happiness. Craig gets paged out, while
Brady has promised his grandfather to go to a symphony ń a fund
raiser for music programs. He assures Chloe he will come back and
tell all, and leaves. Nancy can tell Chloe is worried about
something, and they have a nice mother/daughter session, talking
about how Victor doesn't like Chloe. Nancy realizes there were
some incidents with Philip to cause this, but makes her realize
how parents do anything to protect their children. She explains
that Victor has never seen Brady & Chloe together, and how
happy they are, and when he does, he will change his mind. Chloe
thanks her for the pep talk, and says "I love you, Mom".
(Glad she is finally calling her mom!) Nancy leav! es so Chloe
can be rested for her big day tomorrow.
Mr & Mrs. Kiriakis are at the door, welcoming their
guests to a pre-symphony cocktail party. Nicole seems ready to
tell the assemblage all about how Victor treats his lovely wife
in private, but has 2nd thoughts when she sees a woman come in,
kiss Vic on cheek. Turns out she is going to be Brady's date for
the evening, unbeknownst to him. Nik congrats Vic that the gal
even resembles Chloe. Brady arrives with the good news about
Chloe's transplant. Victor is called away, and Nicole cannot wait
to let him in on Vic's plans. An angry Brady calls Vic aside,
confronting him, but is taken aback when Victor explains that
Linda Browning is a music expert, and he thought perhaps Brady
could get some pointers - more or less pick her brain. (Vic is
slick, for sure!) Brady is thrilled, goes back and tells Nicole
she got him all worked up for nothing. Nik tells Victor that was
a stroke of genius. Victor replies that is cause it was his idea,
not hers. (oooh, low blow!). He! nderson announces it is time,
and all leave for the symphony, with Brady noting he & Linda
have good seats, side by side. (BTW, it is a Schumann concert.)
As the guests leave, Brady calls Chloe, and is puzzled by her
questions about Victor. He assures her Vic was thrilled with the
news about her transplant, promises to call when he gets to the
hall, and come to hospital to tell her everything when it is over.
At The Gym Bo is helping Hope with the barbells (wonder why
he is wearing that ski cap inside?) & complains about Vin
Ramsell & Chas getting out on bail, back to roaming the
streets. Hope talks of wanting to do something else with her
life, Zack nearly 3 and into pre-school, has all this energy, but
doesn't want to be go back to being a cop. Too much stress on the
kids. She doesn't know yet, but for now has a great idea, and
tells Bo to follow her. They go to the sauna room, which is OUT
OF ORDER, & guess they are gonna heat t he place up
themselves. LOL. Later, inside, Hope asks Bo if the earth didn't
move just then, and he laughingly tells her he will take that as
a compliment. LOLOL
At DiMansion, Tony is scolding Cassie for
trying to fix him up with Gabby. Cassie tells him she wants him
to be happy, and tho Gabby is cute, funny and smart, the woman
for him is actually Mom (amazing it took Chloe forever to call
Nancy MOM, but took Cassie 3 seconds). She tells Tony she figures
he has a plan to steal Marlena from John, and wants to help make
it happen. Tony refuses, saying her relationship with her mother
(still think Marlena was only surrogate) must be protected.
Upstairs, Rex arrives home, very satisfied with himself, the
images he sees on his computer monitor, and talks into his mike.
He talks of money, name which he has already, being a DeMera, but
watching Tony made him aware of the importance of power. And when
his invention does quickly, what it takes the earth thousands of
years to do, turn coal into diamonds, he will have power, big
time. He makes note that he has to keep an eye on the tunnel via
the monitor, because if anyone else came near, the consequences
could be terrible. (Uh, oh.) Just then, Mimi arrives at his
bedroom door. Rex steps out in the hall, trying to tell her it
was not a good time. Mimi is frustrated by their relationship, by
his attitude, by his always being busy, and wants to know their
status. She figures they both were alone a lot and would be good
for each other. Rex agrees, says he likes her, but really brushes
her off. (Poor Mimi, love her to pieces) While they are arguing,
we see on the monitor! , a man (homeless person??) wandering in
the tunnel, finding the laser and being very curious. As he
examines it, touching it here and there, he upsets it, causing
the laser to point nearly straight down. He runs off. Outside the
room, Mimi leaves, and Rex returns, takes one look at the
monitor, and rushes out. Downstairs, Tony hears Rex pounding down
the stairs, comes out, halting him in his tracks, wanting to talk
to him about his bank statements. Seems Rex is spending money
like it came from a faucet, and tho Rex tries to put him off,
Tony is insistent he wants to go over both Rex and Cassie's
statements. (Hey, Tony, that is what happens when you don't put
limits on available funds..). Rex is too much in a hurry, and
rushes out the door. Tony is not a happy camper, but Cassie
explains how obsessed Rex gets about things, so his mind is
focused on just one thing. She tells him they can go over HER
bank statements, tho. Tony laughs, puts an arm around her, and
they go in! to the study.
Outside, Rex is rushing when the fellow that got him his "necessary
component" jumps out in front of him, saying if he knew Rex
was a DiMera, he would have charged him more money. He complains
he owes lots of people money, Rex says "Tough". The guy
pulls a gun, making Rex get out his cell phone, call home, and
the guy tells Tony that he is holding Rex for ransom, wants a
million dollars. He says he will be in touch later.
Inside the house, Tony & Cassie suddenly feel the house shake.
Outside, as Rex feels the earth shake, he says "Oh, no".
Camera freezes on his face. And the previews show.
Preview:
The kidnapper on the phone, saying he wants a million in cash,
small bills and unmarked. Rex is sitting in a chair, looking
rather forlorn. John to Marlena "The call was about
Rex, he has been kidnapped". Tony to Cassie "You
will not lose your brother and I will not lose my son". Roman
to Kate (in a room where the furniture is all covered with sheets).
"Kate, will you marry me" and an ecstatic Kate replies
"yes, yes, yes".

The tremors in Salem continue as Kate and Roman have different
ideas about their relationship, Victor and Nicole talk about
their feelings for each other, Rex's daddy's each throw a mil
each in a sack and head for the gym as Marlena (and Rex) call for
back up of their own.
A Realtor shows an empty apartment to Kate, supposedly for
Basic Black's usage. Roman arrives saying it's a bad idea. He
explains how the building is in bad shape and will need a lot of
work. He has been looking for her all around town. Defensively
she chides him about her ability to assess the building's
condition and explains location and affordability are the key
factors for BB. He hopes she doesn't commit on the spot and she
challenges his knowledge on commitment making. He asks for a
moment alone and the realtor mentions another appt. and leaves,
suggesting Kate take her time and call her later. Roman asks Kate
why she left his bed. Frustrated at his interrogation, she tells
him to go away. He gets a call on his cell about the earthquake (that
he didn't feel). She tells him she felt it in the elevator coming
up, but it doesn't surprise her that he didn't feel IT either.
Victor & Nicole ride in the limo to the concert as she
wished the earthquake had just swallowed her up. He tells her how
he loved her once, which surprises her. He believed she had love
and respect for him at one time too. She admits she did and had
bought into his lies about a happy marriage. Now he's bought into
a bird in a cage who can dream of being happy or free. Victor has
the limo stopped and asks the driver to check the tires just in
case. He rationalizes his feelings and being she acted like a
whore, he's treating her like one.
At The Cop Shop, Abe's on the phone not believing it was an
earthquake. Lexie arrives and Abe's not happy to see her there.
He wants her to go home, concerned about an aftershock. She
shines it off, wanting him to have lunch with her. She asks if
Carson Palmer will get out on bail like Vin Ramsel did. Abe
figures no judge will risk being accused of special treatment by
letting Palmer out, but IF he does get out, he wants a guard on
Lexie. She's not worried as she's known Carson since she was 13
and doubts he'd go after her. She leaves to take a walk and enjoy
the spring weather and the cherry blossoms. She'll see him at
home. An officer walks in about how the switchboard is loaded
about the earthquake. Later Abe has a meeting in his office about
where most of the calls are coming from and how they should
handle the panic. Roman arrives, not happy to be there on his day
off to hand hold the public. Abe tells him about the quake,
questioning why Roman didn't feel it.! Roman explains he must
have been driving and didn't feel the quake. Abe gets a call and
Roman's mind wanders as he looks out the window to the outer
office. He dreams of sitting at his desk as Kate walks in
seductively and sits on his desk. She tells him she just wants to
have fun and not interested in a commitment. All she wants from
him is what he's given her already. Stroking his face she tells
him he satisfies her completely. She sits on his lap and kisses
him as back to reality he smiles.
Tony Comforts Cassie. She emotionally distraught over Rex's
kidnapping and frustrated she can't do anything. She suggests
calling Marlena, but Tony doesn't want to worry her too.
John Tries to call the super, but so is everyone else in
the building (yeah, the penthouse is not the place to be in an
earthquake!!). He thinks about calling the "cop shop"
as Marlena goes to the kitchen to use the security phone there.
John gets a call from Rex's kidnapper wanting money from him as
well. John asks for proof, so the thug kicks Rex and hearing a
grunt, John believes him, LOL. The thug wants a million cash (petty
cash for these folks) dropped at the weight room of the Titan Gym
or the "wonder twin" is dead. Rex warns his kidnapper
that if he doesn't let him go, something bad will happen. The two
bicker as thugarama heads to get the ransom money at the gym as
well as a workout. John tells Marlena what's going on. She
panics, but he reminds her the kidnapper unwittingly just called
the ISA and he knows what he's doing. Telling her it's only
money, he heads out promising to bring her son home. Marlena
calls Mr. Smith (aka Ops), saying she needs to see ! him right
away. He rushes right over and asks "what's up doc".
She tells him not to be flip with her (I thought it was cute ;-)
She explains about Rex being kidnapped and John took off alone to
get him. He tells her she's lucky to be married to John and he's
the best man for the job. She asks Ops to back John up as she
doesn't want anything happening to John either. He promises to
help and leaves.
The Thug calls Tony back and tells him where to deposit a
million in the Titan Gym weight room and to leave right after.
Tony vows not to lose his son as Cassie breaks down. She's
worried how Rex has never been alone and the kidnapper might kill
him even if he has the ransom money. Tony gets in the DiMera mode
as he heads out the door.
Lexie Walks the DiMera grounds rejoicing in the weather. The
gardener warns her about some large craters on the property and
leaves for the day. Tony rushes out and she happily wants to
visit with him after her walk. He doesn't tell her what's wrong,
just rushes off.
The Kidnapper leaves and Rex asks if he's coming back. He
tells him if he doesn't get the $$, Rex can stay there and rot.
If he does get it, he'll come back just long enough to kill him.
He leaves and Rex starts his attempt to squirm out of the ropes
he's bound with. He mentally summons Cassie who's lying on the
couch in DiMansion. He asks her to find him and she pops up on
the couch hearing him and heads out the door. She arrives and
finds him asleep in the chair. He tells her he wore himself out
summoning her. The tremors continue and Rex warns her they have
to leave as the danger's not over. He tells her to untie him.
Back In The Empty Apartment, Kate also daydreams. Roman
walks in, apologizing for his spontaneity, but he loves her and
on bended knee, asks her to marry him. She happily tells him yes,
yes, yes. The building starts shaking again as another strong
tremor hits.
John Walks In The Weight Room in a long white terry robe
carrying the bag of money. He puts it in the dirty towel holder
and goes in the sauna to peer out the window. Tony walks in
holding a paper sack with his money and looks at the towel holder
when a strong quake hits John spots Tony and figures the
kidnapper wanted double ransom money. (What gets me is the people
working out just keep working out after each large quake, I'd be
out the door myself!)
Kate Calls Her Office on her cell from the 25th floor of
the empty building as she pushes the elevator button, anxious to
get out of the building. Quakes are frequent now (you DON'T use
an elevator in an earthquake, take the stairs Kate!!)
Abe Declares A State Of Emergency. Roman's worried about
Kate where she is and going to call her as Abe worries about
Lexie, hoping she's home. This isn't the kind of stress she needs
with the baby due. We see Lexie trying to stay upright as another
quake hits, but screams and falls. Victor's limo apparently fell
off the road as we see him, Nicole and the driver unconscious in
the car as the previews for Friday roll.
Preview:
Brandon tells Sami he wanted to be in a private place when he
asks her something important, Belle's at the penthouse and
Marlena hugs her and says the people they all love are safe, John
and Tony are together in the sauna as the earthquake gets
stronger. John asks what the hell's going on here, we see Lexie
unconscious on the ground.

Abe and an injured Celeste worry about Lexie's disappearance (as
she is trapped in a pit), Brandon ALMOST pops the question to
Sami, Cassie rescues Rex. Tony and John square off against the
kidnapper AND each other at the gym, as all of Salem continues to
shake, rattle & roll!
Brandon & Sami
are at their resort getaway as he pours the champagne and
examines the ring. Sami enters wearing a peach negligee (WOW) as
he comments that at least the French did ONE thing right (LOL,
you go Brandon). They kiss and toast each other move towards the
bed. As they begin to get hot and heavy, his cell phone rings. A
distraught Abe is on the other end (see below) looking for Lexie
and wants to know if Brandon has spoken with her. Abe fills him
about the tremors as the two are quite civil to each other.
Brandon tells him that he and Lexie haven't spoken in quite a
while, but promises to have her call Abe if he does hear from her.
When he gets off the phone a PO'd Sami asks if he is going to
rush off to look for Lexie. He assures a tearful Sami he is going
no where. He sits her down and tells her to be quiet, he has
something important to ask her. He goes into a monologue about
how much he loves her and even though they have had their ups and
downs, ! he wants her in his life forever. Just as he gets ready
to pop the question, his cell rings again. She snatches it away
from him and answers it. It's Eugenia at the hospital, telling
him about the quake and that there are lots of frightened
children there. Dr. Wesley is bringing in all available staff and
they need him there. While they are talking another one hits. He
assures her he is on his way. He tells Sami his question will
have to wait as he rushes off. After he is gone, she flops on the
bed and has a tantrum.
At The Hospital
Abe helps an injured Celeste into the ER as she insists she is
okay. (He had gone by looking for Lexie and found her in the
floor). Eugenia helps her into a wheelchair as they worry over
Lexie. Abe continues to call her cell phone, but there is no
answer. We see Lexie lying at the bottom of a pit as the earth
shakes and debris falls on her. Later, Eugenia returns Celeste
telling Abe that it's not serious. They continue to worry about
Lexie as Abe vows to locate her. Abe gets called to the station,
but Celeste wants him to find her daughter, she is having a
premonition that something is terribly wrong. As he wheels her
out of the ER, he promises to send out a team to find her. Once
again we see an unconscious Lexie in the pit with a cut on her
face.
Cassie Unties Rex
as the quake continues. He tries to get her to hurry up, saying
he has to stop the tremors. She doesn't understand and wants an
explanation, but he tells her that there isn't time and rushes
off, with her following. Later, we see them in the dark cavern
with Cassie chattering away to a very serious Rex. They get to
where the laser is as another tremor starts and they huddle in
the corner. She wants answers as he tries to explain. But she
rants at him telling him that his little experiment almost
destroyed everything and everyone. He tells her about the ransom
and decides to call Tony and let him know that he is free (see
below). He also talks to John who tells him to call Marlena (who
is worried sick).
At The Penthouse
Marlena is a nervous wreck as Belle, Shawn and Mimi arrive to
check on her. They try to get her to leave, telling her that they
aren't safe there, but she refuses, telling them that the
building is earthquake safe and that these are only tremors. She
tells them about the kidnapping. They (especially Mimi) want
details, but she has none for them, telling them that John took
the ransom call and rushed off. Belle tries to assure her mom
that everything will be okay. Shawn thinks they should call the
police, but Marlena won't allow it, sure that John can handle it.
(I think she ALMOST spills the beans and blurts out that he is
ISA, but doesn't).
Later, Rex calls and informs Marlena that he is okay and she
begins to cry. She tells him that Belle, Shawn and Mimi are all
there worried about him and he asks if they are all okay. She
invites him over as he tells her that he and Cassie will be right
there. Marlena hugs Belle, telling them that it is all over.
Marlena suggests having lunch for everyone as Mimi offers to help
by making her famous deviled eggs and asks a bewildered Marlena
if she has any curry powder (long time fans know that Marlena is
NOT known for her culinary skills, LOL) as Marlena asks what does
it look like, then asks Mimi to come out to the supposed kitchen
(which we NEVER see) and help her. Belle and Shawn sit to talk
and tells them to yell if they need her. Belle and Shawn kiss and
chat a bit about Belle's summer job with Basic Black. Rex and
Cassie arrive as Marlena rushes out and hugs him. Later, Rex and
Cassie explain how she found him and their "connection".
They never knew that they could do! that, since they had never
been apart. Cassie gets a call from Chaz (with Vin Ramsel urging
him on) who wants her to throw a party at the mansion for the
premiere of ėLove is Blind' and invite all her friends. She
tells him that if Shawn and Belle know he will be there they
won't come. So, he tells her not to tell them. After she gets off
the phone, she invites them to her party and they accept. Chaz
informs Vin that Shawn Brady will be there and he is thrilled.
Later, as they are talking about the tremors, Cassie tells
everyone that Rex knows what caused them. Rex dodges the issue as
Marlena brings in Mimi's deviled eggs and tells them that the
pizza will be ready shortly (frozen, I assume, LOL). Rex begins
to scarf down the eggs, smiling at Mimi. Marlena goes to call
John as Rex tells her about Tony and John both being at the gym.
As she goes for the phone, another tremor hits as the lights
flicker and everyone holds on for dear life.
At The Titan Gym
John calls Ops and leaves a message to call him back as Tony
meets up with two of his goons in the hallway, giving them
instructions to catch the kidnapper. Ops calls John back from
outside and tells him that Marlena had called him. John gets a
bit miffed that she did that but Ops defends her actions. John
fills him in and tells him that Tony is there as well. Tony ducks
into the steam room and when he sees John, asks what the hell he
is doing there. John tells him about the kidnapper calling him
and asking for the double ransom. Tony finds it hard to believe
that John Black would pay money to save a DiMera. John chastises
him for not coming alone (as instructed) as bringing alone "Abbott
and Costello" (LOL!) Tony is highly offended that John is
giving him instructions as how to handle the situation. Around
this time, is when Rex calls to let them know he is okay. John
snatches the phone out of Tony's hands, asks Rex for a
description of the ki! dnapper and then tells him to call Marlena.
Another tremor hits as the trashcan is knocked over and the bags
of money fall out. The kidnapper makes his move as Tony rushes
out of the steam room, yelling for his goons to grab him. The
kidnapper runs off without the money and is met in the hallway by
Ops. Ops and the goons all chase after him as another tremor hits
and he gets away. Back in the gym, the patrons want to call the
police, but John talks them out of it. Tony retrieves his money
and instructs his goons to take it back to the mansion. John
tells Tony everything is under control and they begin to argue
over each other's involvement. Outside in the alley, the
kidnapper is making his getaway as Ops comes flying up on his
bike and the kidnapper pulls a gun on him. John and Tony argue as
Tony wants to know why John always has to be the "super hero".
The little bell goes off in John's head and he says he has it all
figured out, that Tony actually hired the kidnapper so HE! could
end up being the hero and gain favor in Marlena's eyes. In the
alley, Ops does a little fancy stuff on his bike and takes him
down and then handcuffs him to the wall. He calls John and fills
him in. John tells Tony that they will now find out the truth.
They begin to fight and John clocks Tony right in the jaw. As
they fight another tremor hits with John falling backward into
the sauna and Tony falling and hitting his head on the floor.
Barbells roll over in front of the door and a piece of equipment
falls over, all blocking the door. We see John struggling to get
out, as the previews for the next show roll.
Preview:
Kate is yelling out a window to Roman that there is no way out
of there. He tells her to trust him, he has a plan, Abe is saying
that he has got to find his wife as we see Lexie (now awake) in
the pit moaning and groaning and says "Please God, I can't
be in labor", John (in the steam room) yelling at Tony:
"Don't just sit there, get me out of here!" Tony
replies with "Give me one good reason why I should". As
the credits roll.
