Episode #9518
Taped Various
Director: Randy Robbins
(Note: Strange that the episodes were out of order this week. #9519
is being shown today and #9518 will be shown Monday).
Pretty much a "stand-alone" episode, Bo begins a new
crusade, as does Jack, with both out to nail Carson Palmer, Jen
breaks the news to her dad, Brady and Nicole have a "close
encounter" at the hospital.
At The Cop Shop
Bo and Roman talk about what a good time they had the night
before as Roman suggests that they "double date" again
soon. Bo asks if he is sure, thinking that Kate felt a bit out of
place. Abe comes in with a hoodlum, (Eddie) they picked up. Bo
becomes upset that they bust their chops arresting punks like
that and they are released before the ink is dry. Bo fees like he
is beating himself against a wall and that the system is too easy
on punks like that. He goes on a tirade about how so many have
gotten off lately. It seems that Eddie has been arrested multiple
times and this time he was involved in a shooting of an innocent
kid in a drive-by shooting in a gang dispute. There are no
witnesses (except for the kid who was shot and he is in the
hospital in serious condition). Abe feels that he could walk
again. Bo decides to head over to the hospital and try to talk to
the victim. Roman and Abe talk about the rising gang problem in
Salem and that they feel that there is someone powerful behind it
all, funding them. Bo vows to go after "Mr. Big". After
Bo leaves, Abe and Roman worry about his current behavior. (Personally,
I think they should be proud of his determination and should be
helping instead of sitting around belittling him, but that's just
me.)
At The Hospital
Brady is in the waiting area as Chloe is having a chemo treatment.
Victor and Nicole arrive to make some kind of charity donation to
the hospital. She is NOT thrilled to be there and makes it quite
known to Victor. He tells her to put on her phony smile and fake
it. Brady walks up, asking if everything is okay. Nicole covers,
sarcastically saying that everything is just fine. Victor asks
about Chloe as Brady gives him an update. Victor makes no bones
about the fact that he doesn't approve of the Brady/Chloe
relationship and rags on her (because of what Philip went through
with her). Brady turns very defensive and defends Chloe and asks
Victor not to tear her down, pointing out that most of the
problem was Philip's fault, with even him acknowledging that fact.
Victor finally apologizes, saying he just doesn't want to see
Brady get hurt as Philip did. Brady asks him to pray for her
instead.Bo arrives and asks about Chloe, informing Brady that he
and Hope are both praying for her. He asks Victor out to the
terrace to talk privately, leaving Brady and Nicole alone. She
pours her some of the free coffee and proceeds to spill it down
the front of her white blouse (was probably a brand new one too,
ain't that the way it goes?). Brady grabs a napkin and begins to
wipe it off (her breast) asking if she is okay. He is a bit
embarrassed as she explains that technically, she is his step-grandmother.
She calls him arrogant and pretentious and accuses him of "copping
a feel". But, she says, it is okay, she didn't mind and
could tell he didn't either. She promises not to tell Chloe, even
though it will probably be a while before he will be "getting
any". (Geez, somebody slap her already). He says she has no
class and thinks she is a miserable person. She says he doesn't
know what he is talking about and goes to walk off. He brings up
the fact that she was fired from Titan and she says she quit,
feeling she didn't need to work anymore. As she explains, she
gets angry and asks why he even cares, does he want another cheap
thrill? Out on the terrace, Bo asks what Victor said to Larry
Welch to make him change his plea. Victor tells him that he
threatened him, of course. He goes on to explain that he told
Larry that he would get the death sentence and that he had the
means to make that happen, so he changed his mind. Bo tells him
about the gang problem in Salem and asks if he knows anything
about it, or is involved. Victor says he went straight years ago.
Victor talks about how kingpins use gangs to hide their dealings
by funding them with drugs and weapons. Bo asks him to see if he
can learn anything and Victor promises to snoop around. Bo thanks
him for his help with this and Larry and heads back inside to try
and see the kid who was shot (Ben Wells). Victor heads back in as
well and asks Brady and Nicole what they were talking about as he
plants a big kiss on her cheek as she looks disgusted. Brady
watches them, sure that something is going on. They head for
their meeting as Brady gets paged to the oncology department and
he rushes off, thinking something has happened to Chloe.
Breakfast At The Deveraux Home
Jen carries out a HUGE plate of scrambled eggs (looks like enough
for an army) as Jack complains about the broken toaster. Abby
laughs and tells them they will probably get new ones for wedding
gifts. They talk about them getting remarried and Abby can't wait.
After breakfast, Jack attempts to fix the toaster as Jen watches,
giggling at his ineptness, but he is determined. Later, Jack gets
a call from Harold at he office, telling him that Carson Palmer
has called a press conference and he takes off to cover it. After
he is gone, Jen eyes the toaster and has long flashbacks of her
proposing to Jack (in the Santa outfit) and then the older one of
him doing the same (their first time). She gets a phone call from
her dad (Bill Horton) and first she chastises him for sending the
Binturong and tries to tactfully inform him that it was not
appropriate for Abby. She asks him to PLEASE not send any more
live creatures. She tells him that she has news, she and Jack are
going to remarry. You can hear a voice on the phone yell "WHAT?"
as she holds the phone away from her ear and makes a scrunchy
face. She gets back on the line and tries to smooth it over but
you can continue to hear a loud voice yelling (hearing a word now
and then). She finally just lays the phone down on the table in
disgust. She picks it up, vowing that Jack has changed as he
continues to rant. She works on the toaster as she just listens
and shakes her head. She tries to defend him, but can hardly get
a word in edgewise and just puts it back down.Jack goes to the
press conference (in the DA's office?) as Palmer begins to toot
his own horn about his many accomplishments as the DA and what a
good job he is doing. Jack asks for specifics as Palmer rattles
off statistics. Jack asks about recent gang activity, theft,
murder, etc., not the petty stuff. He asks if the DA is trying to
hide something and asks for a comment (on the record) as he
smiles at Palmer. Palmer continues to try and make a positive
spin as Jack makes fun of his double talk. Palmer ends the
meeting as Jack does his best Porky Pig impression (Thththththats
All Folks!).He returns home excited, sure that there is a story
there. He fills her in as she tells him her news as well, tada,
she fixed the toaster. She thinks he is threatened because she
did and couldn't, so she promises to tell Abby that he did it and
they kiss. He tells her more about the press conference and vows
to dig deep to find out what is going on.
Back At The Hospital
Bo goes by to see the kid (Ben) that was shot but he is unable to
speak with him. He feels really bad for him and then returns to
the cop shop, upset that they are not doing anything to solve the
ever-increasing problem. He gets really worked up and vows to
bend and/or break every rule in the book to make a difference. He
vows that punk who shot Ben will not walk and do whatever he has
to do to send Eddie to jail. Palmer walks in, telling Bo that if
he takes the law in his own hands, it will be HIM in jail. Bo
asks whose side he is on. Palmer starts jabbering about how their
arrest rate is down and Bo blows up at him. He promises Bo that
if keeps it up, he will have his badge. Bo looks directly at him
and tells him to go to hell! as it fades to black.

Episode #9519
Taped 2/26/03
Director - Herb Stein
The Brady Pub hosts the Wearin' of the Green, as Chloe's chemo
has her in a depressed state, and some of the young folks seek
advice.
At The Penthouse, a shirtless John runs
downstairs to answer the door to a tearful Belle.(what else is
new?) She rushes in, moaning about Shawn being away, and the girl
answering the phone. John calls her Izzy B (!!) and tries his
best to reassure her. The doorbell rings again, and in comes
Brady. Belle asks about Chloe, tells him to give her love, and
leaves. Brady queries John on how he dealt with Isabella when she
was dying. He tells how Chloe has had chemo, and is pushing him
away. John tells him to hang in there, not to push, but be there.
Hope Arrives At The Cop Shop, and in reply to
Bo's question on how her session with Marlena went, tells him
Larry was there. She hurries to assure him, in mind only, as
Marlena told her to imagine Larry was there, and Hope could light
into him for all the wrongs. She tells Bo she feels so free now.
(Hope looks absolutely adorable in the cap she is wearing). Lexie
comes in, chattering about Abe working so hard and he comes out.
As Abe hugs Lexie, he drops a file that Bo picks up, noting that
Eddie Monel's been released. He is steamed, and argues w/Abe
about the gangbangers making the streets unsafe.Abe orders him
not to leave. Lexie gets excited over baby kicking, and invites
Hope to feel. She talks of nearly completing her Community
Service (jeez, WHEN was that??) and how she may return to
doctoring again. Abe doesn't seem too thrilled with the idea.
Hope mentions Zack starting pre-school, how much time she will
have, and maybe rejoining the force. Bo is dead set against that,
and admits he is guilty of a double standard. O.K. for him to be
in danger, not her. Abe mentions not being able to make a Lamaze
class, so Hope volunteers. They hug, happy to be friends again.
Lexie suggests they all go to Brady Pub, but Bo is not too
anxious. Hope wants to help protect Salem's kids in some way or
other, and says she will think of something. They all leave for
the party, loudly singing "Oh, Brady boy" to the tune
of Oh, Danny boy.
Cassie Is Snooping Thru Belle's Desk at the
dorm, fingering a necklace that Shawn gave Belle, and thanking
Shawn, then reading a letter he wrote. (This gal needs SUCH a
wake up call) Marlena walks in, saying she is shocked. Cassie
looks a bit guilty, saying she can explain and calls her mom(yuk),
but Marlena only thinking her genius daughter supposedly never
needed to open a book, and now it looks like she is studying. (Guess
Marlena doesn't recognize Belle's desk or Belle's belongings on
it.) Marlena wanted to spend some time with Cassie, but she puts
on her "poor me" face, saying everyone in the dorm has
gone to parties celebrating some saint, and no one invited her.
Naturally Marlena takes her out to have a good time.
Brady Comes Rushing Up To Craig, worried about
Chloe, but Craig says Chloe has had chemo, and is feeling really
down, maybe Brady can help. He goes in the room, but Chloe wants
to be left alone. She tells him to please leave her room, which
he does (see above). Outside in the hall, Nancy is in a wheel
chair, waiting to pick up Joy and go home. She asks Craig to take
her to see Chloe, and they all have a nice conversation, &
Nancy gives Chloe a picture of Joy to hold on to. Chloe cries,
telling of all her worries, but Nancy comforts her, telling her
she is telling her feelings, a good thing. They leave, and Nancy
is upset, not wanting to leave Chloe. Craig is endearing, as he
reassures her, saying he will stay, and Nancy has to take care of
Joy. Inside the room, Chloe seems to fall asleep, as Brady
watches thru the window. Craig & Nancy return with Joy,
holding her up to the window so Chloe can see. Chloe smiles.
The Brady Pub Is Filled with St Patrick's Day
decorations, green beer & punch, Irish music, and lots of fun
seekers. Across the crowded room, Mimi spots Rex coming in, and
goes to greet him. He speaks to her in Gaelic, saying he
researched the day on the computer, and studied the language for
a couple of hours. Everyone is wearing green, but Rex forgot.
Mimi assures him it is o.k., commenting on her Irish grannie
making her the striped socks she is wearing. Pop Shawn is telling
jokes, Caroline asks everyone to dance. Rex huffily refuses, and
tho Mimi says he doesn't have to be perfect, he says he does! 4
people get out and dance a jig, with Mimi doing a solo number.
Rex is impressed. Marlena arrives with Cassie, who sidles up to
Mimi, looking for Shawn. Mimi tells her to forget Shawn, there's
lots of cute guys right there, and shows her how to dance an
Irish jig. Cassie learns fast, and is doing solo number as Belle
arrives. Marlena notices Rex eyeing Mimi, and tries to encourage
him to pursue the relationship, but Rex wants no part of being
vulnerable, saying you lose you power that way. He storms off,
but later is dancing a slow number with Mimi, and enjoying
himself. He abruptly breaks away and Mimi asks what is going on.
Marlena goes to talk to Belle for a few minutes (glad she
remembers she has another daughter), while Bo, Hope, Abe &
Lexie arrive. Everyone is enjoying themselves, lots of laughter
and music. Cassie comes up to Marlena & Belle, and Marlena
leaves. Belle is clearly disconcerted, & Cassie takes the
opportunity to get in a few digs, wanting to know if Belle &
Shawn have had sex yet, and tells Belle she is gonna have to put
out. (Slap this girl). Belle replies that Cassie is not one to
give advice, since she has no experience in that area herself.
Cassie says it is easily fixed, and grabs some guy, asking him to
dance. John arrives, Marlena joins him. He tells her how happy to
see his two girls in same place, and tells of the visits from
Belle and Shawn. Marlena seems surprised. John does not like the
tension between them, asks how to end it. Marlena suggests they
dance. Bo gets a call on his cell phone, and tells Abe that Ben
Wells died. W/o regaining conscienceness. He is very angry, but
Abe orders him off the case, saying he is putting Roman in charge.
He tells Bo to say put, but Bo strides out. Abe turns to Hope,
saying Bo is making a BIG MISTAKE.

Episode #9520
Taped 2/27/03
Director - Phil Sogard
St. Patrick's evening finds our Salemites going hungry. Sami and
Fay have a chat as do Tony and Marlena. Belle learns the truth
about Shawn's cellphone and Brandon lurks in the Lamaz class to
keep an eye on Lexie and Abe.
Belle walks in the men's locker room at school. The coach is
there and she congratulates him on their win the night before and
learns the team partied hard celebrating. He tells her Shawn's
still in the shower and yells for him to get his butt out there.
Belle tells him she'd wait. While waiting she remembers their
talk about spending time alone without interruptions. With her
back to the shower, Shawn joins her in his towel. Later he's got
his jeans on as Belle blasts him about the girl answering his
cell and knowing about his one night stand (so much for trust).
Good timing as Pam, the equipment manager, walks in and gives him
his cellphone back (guess the locker room has open door policy to
guys and gals? Time's have changed). She borrowed it the night
before to check on her mother, who's just getting over pneumonia.
She introduces herself to Belle and leaves, thanking Shawn again
and promising not to forget her phone next time. Belle eats a
little crow before pushing the blame on him for their not
communicating well lately. Flashbacks of her and Shawn when she
thought Shawn was the father of Jan's baby, then his begging her
to give him space to figure out what's going on recently. Now
dressed, Shawn asks that they start trusting each other again.
Realizing no one's there, they kiss. The coach walks in mid-kiss,
saying it's time to lock up. Belle's afraid to part, but Shawn
assures her they're forever, remember?
Sami's Place
While Sami struggles to balance her checkbook ($200.86 off), Chef
Walker prepares an Italian dinner. He convinces her to take a
break and lets her taste his cooking, then offers to balance her
checkbook for her. She suggests they get a joint account, but he
tells her he's not letting her get her hands on his money. She
tells him she's not a bimbo and watches money advisors on tv.
She's got cd's, an IRA, small stock portfolios, treasury bills
and is good at managing her money. He takes her hands and says
it's just too soon to do that and he's not ready for that big a
commitment yet, like marriage. A knock on the door and Sami
figures Will forgot something (her son has to KNOCK?) Nope, it's
Fay. Wearing a smile, she tells Sami that Brandon told her about
their living together and she decided not to wait for an
invitation to come and congratulate them. She brought a homemade
applesauce walnut cake for them. Brandon and Sami insist on her
staying for dinner and she finally agrees (especially hearing
Brandon made her sauce recipe). Brandon's pager goes off and he
heads out to the hospital to check on a patient. Fay grabs her
coat to leave too, but Sami pleads with her to stay and visit and
she agrees. OH NO, Sami serves Fay tea, haha. They bump into each
other in the tiny kitchen as Sami's clearly nervous. Conversation
turns to Nicole as Fay picks up the innuendos about Sami's
feelings for her daughter. Fay firmly informs Sami that Nicole IS
her daughter and to tread lightly on the subject. Furious, she
grabs her coat and makes for the daughter as Sami apologizes,
saying Brandon got his moral fiber from her apparently. Sami
quickly learns Fay's true feelings about her and Brandon's
relationship. The two discuss Brandon's "anger management"
problem and Sami wants to know why Brandon's so upset about her
affair with Abe ages ago. Fay is insulted by Sami's tactlessness
(as am I) and leaves. Upset, Sami tosses the whole cake into the
trash.
Hospital
Poor Abe didn't handle the Lamaz video very well. A nurse asks
how long before their baby is due and Lexie tells her two months.
She tells Abe she's anxious about getting the baby's room ready
and has to have a name for him before he's born. Later Brandon is
concerned when he finds them lurking in the halls. Guess Abe
carrying blankets and a pillow is not a clue as Abe tells them
they're there for their Lamaz class. Lexie heads to the rest room
before they "stake out" their place in the classroom,
so Brandon enjoys pushing Abe's buttons. Abe finally accuses
Brandon of using Lexie to get to him due to their past. Abe tells
him to stop living in the past. Brandon assures him it's about
the present and the future he's concerned about. In the classroom,
Abe and Lexie are having fun with another pregnant student. The
teacher tells Abe he has an urgent call at the desk. Abe leaves
to take it and Brandon takes advantage of the opportunity to see
Lexie in the classroom as she's lying down taking deep breaths.
He spots a pretty woman without a partner and quickly introduces
himself and offers to be her coach. (so much for rushing home to
Sami and his mom alone in their apartment together waiting dinner
for him). She happily agrees and Abe (and Lexie) watch. (wouldn't
Sami love to hear about this?)
Penthouse
Marlena struggles with the mail and a bag of groceries while
trying to find her keys. Tony steps off the elevator offering his
help. He takes her grocery bag and she learns he came to see her
about their children. Although Cassie and Rex are adults, they're
emotionally dependent she tells him. She hopes they don't learn
too much, too fast. She tells him about Cassie dancing with a guy
at the pub and had a wild look in her eye. Concerned she didn't
stop her dancing, Marlena reminds him Cassie's an adult. Tony
figures he should leave as it would be awkward if John returned.
She tells him John had to leave the pub for a business meeting
and doesn't expect him home soon. He asks if she knows whom the
meeting was with and jokingly suggests he might want to rush home
and check the windows and doors (LOL). She doesn't find that
funny. He asks her to join him for dinner and Marlena agrees (hope
there was nothing frozen or perishable in her grocery bag that's
still sitting there, haha) and they leave. He knows a quiet place
where they can talk and she tells him she can't stay too long. We
find them seated a table for two in a darkly lit restaurant.
Tony's a regular there as the headwaiter asks if Tony wants his
fried oysters and champagne as usual (maybe Tony needs a new
cook?) A couple mafia looking (and acting) men stop by Tony's
table to pay their respects to "the count". Seeing
Marlena's a little uncomfortable, Tony suggests they might stay
with Mineral Water so they'll have a clear head to discuss "the
children". We return to Tony asking for no more
interruptions and the head waiter apologizes, saying he'll take
care of it. Tony realizes they should have gone elsewhere and
Bart arrives. He tells Tony (in front of Marlena) that they found
you know who hiding in a motel in town. Tony orders he be brought
back to the mansion and he'll take care of it personally. Bart
agrees and leaves. Marlena, a little impressed, asks who they
found and what's he going to do to him? She asks about the
mystery man and he explains it's Rolf, the man who knows the
answers about the twins. She insists on going back to the house
with him and wants answers about her children as well. (so much
for dinner) He looks perplexed about this turn of events as they
get ready to leave as tomorrow's.

THURSDAY, MARCH 20TH, 2003
Episode #9521
Taped 2/22/03
Director - Roger Inman
Jack, Jen, Kate and Roman learn more about Carson Palmer at The
Blue Note while John, Marlena and Tony confront Dr. Rolf. Nicole
tries her own close encounter.
The Blue Note
Jack and Jen walk into the Blue Note. She looks beautiful with
her hair up and a lovely red dress (which Jack loves too). She
pulls out a BRIDE magazine, saying they have things to talk about.
He only wants to talk about the honeymoon portion of their
wedding tonight, the rest of the wedding is her department. He
promises to read all her magazines later (including the ones
stuffed under their bed, haha) Jen tells him about her call from
her dad earlier and Jack knows Bill wasn't happy to hear they're
together again. She explains her dad is just concerned for her.
They spot Carson Palmer walk in with a clingy woman who looks
like she came off The Godfather set.. Roman and Kate also arrive.
Kate had preordered his favorite beer on ice, cornnuts and BBQ
corn chips. She teases him about loving the blue collar cop role.
He teases about repaying her for her thoughtfulness..maybe paying
some guy to stop the PHG elevator between floors for a couple
hours alone with her again.Jack vows Palmer will lose his title
when he finishes with him. Jen stops him from going to see Palmer
as Kate and Roman come over to congratulate them on their
engagement. Jack asks if they have wedding bells in THEIR future
and Jen kicks him under the table (ouch). Kate smiles and replies
that Roman, like all divorced males, finds that wedding bell
tones don't ring in their frequency. Roman also spots Palmer and
Kate suggests they ignore him and return to their beer. Roman
can't help but watch Palmer (who apparently doesn't spot them yet).
Jack knows you can't buy champagne and caviar on a DA's salary
and heads over to talk to him. Palmer tells Jack to leave as he's
on a date. Jack asks for her name and Palmer asks him when he'll
stop being a reporter. Jack flips back with when Palmer will be
such a DA, causing Palmer to stand up. Jack learns that Palmer's
planning on going into politics before Jen escorts him away. Jen
notices Palmer's date is doing all the talking and he recognizes
the woman from somewhere. Jen follows her to the ladies room to
talk with her. He proudly says.."that's my girl". Jen
accidentally knocks the girls purse on the floor and bends down
to pick it up. As Jen makes for the door, the girl calls "blondie"
back. Her wallet is missing and Jen plays innocent. Jen acts
surprised to find the gals wallet in her purse and returns it.
The gal checks it and satisfied everything's there, leaves and
Jen takes a deep breath.Distracted by Palmer's presence, Roman
excuses himself to talk with him while his date's away. Palmer
realizes he should have checked who was there before coming.
Palmer warns Roman he's keeping a close eye on Roman as well as
Bo. Kate comes over to bring Roman back to their table (seems to
be the female thing to do in Salem, haha)..and Palmer greets her
and asks Roman how it feels to date Victor's ex-mistress. Kate
leads Roman away as Palmer continues about Bo being Victor's son.
Are the Salem in bed with the infamous Greek tycoon, or in bed
with him? Palmer hopes Jack is listening and Jack waves in
acknowledgement. Kate returns and softly tells Palmer that men
who talk big are making up for their own "deficiencies".
Roman pulls her away as he doesn't want Palmer targeting her too.
He promises to protect her, but she worries it might cost him his
career. Roman admits wanting to be with Kate now and in the
future. Palmer can take his threats and shove them. Palmer's
"date" returns and gives him a hug and kiss. Jen
returns to their table and tells him what happened. She tells him
she found out what kind of a person his date is and more then a
"tad" cheap, LOL! She'd never be invited to the Salem's
Woman's Club. Kate sees Palmer looking at them and Roman explains
Palmer's date is a dog compared to her and he's just jealous.
Kate tells him the woman is gorgeous, but Roman says she's just
not his type.Jen asks Jack if Palmer's dangerous and he feels if
getting involved with pinkie rings and thugs would improve his
career, yes, he could be.
Meanwhile, It's Bed Time At The Mansion
Nicole joins Victor (who's in his robe already and threatening
what will happen if a shipment doesn't arrive on time on the
phone). She tells him she's on to him and not going to let him
get away with it. She had to walk in the cold from the garage (poor
baby) after realizing he changed her car keys to keep her
prisoner there. He orders her out of his room and slams the door
in her face. Victor orders Nico to track down a "Mr. Big"
in Salem. Glad that Bo came to him to see if he knew who this guy
was, Victor wants to improve their relationship with information.
He warns Nico that if this guy has any connection to his own
business, he doesn't want to know about it. Nicole overhears from
outside the door and smiles. Victor sends Nico off to work and
asks him to turn off the lights on his way out. Victor gets into
bed and Nicole sneaks in and straddles him in bed. He orders her
off him, but she tells him she overheard him talking to Nico
about all his illegal activities. She demands her freedom or
she'll tell Bo about his being involved in organized crime. She
feels a murder against the whole mob is no big deal. Victor
tosses her on the floor and laughs at her being a loser, even
losing her five million dollars. She stomps off threatening to
make him beg for mercy one day. He laughs in her wake.
The Rolf Files
Marlena and Tony ride in his limo to see Rolf. She goes to call
John, but Tony asks her not to. She justifies John has a right to
know what's going on, but Tony feels they should spare John's
feelings on this (oh yeah, right). He then targets in that John's
temper will rise and he'll go after Rolf when they want to get
information out of him instead. Marlena silently agrees.
Meanwhile, John's leaving a message on her (turned off) cellphone.
He calls Caroline to see if Marlena returned to the pub. He turns
on a device that he pulls out of his pocket. Walking to the front
door, Tony admits to Marlena that he's nervous about what they'll
find out too. John walks up (must have beamed over there) and
finds out what's going on, perturbed she didn't call and invite
him to join them. He realizes Tony's trying to bond with her.
Marlena asks Tony for some time alone with John and he goes into
the house. Marlena asks John how he knew she was there and he
asks for her purse and takes out a tracking device. Upset, she
feels like he doesn't trust her, but it's Tony he doesn't trust
he explains. (frankly Salem women should all have those devices
sewn into all their purses). Tony pops his head out and wants to
get on with the interrogation, so Marlena (and John) join them.
Marlena firmly tells John they'll talk about it later. They find
Rolf tied up in the living room and she has a flashback of the
babies being born. John recognizes him too. He remembers him
being with Stefano in a lab somewhere. Bart whispers his apology
to Rolf as he unties him before being dismissed. Tony tells Rolf
to tell them the truth. Rolf admits delivering the twins. Tony
shouts at Rolf for the truth, upset they didn't even know their
children existed. Rolf admits supervising their upbringing. John
asks about a closet full of toys and baby furniture on the island.
Rolf commends him on his memory (it was just last month) and said
they had to airlift the twins off the island. John damns Stefano
for controlling the twins just like they did him. He also damns
Rolf. Tony demands details and Rolf calmly tells him that Stefano
paid him for his brains and loyalty. He cannot reveal anything.
Tony threatens to kill Rolf and Marlena begs him to let her try
and talk to Rolf. He agrees. She implores him to know more about
her children. Rolf tells her she had the babies with her for
several months before they were taken away. Marlena yells at him
that she'd remember that if it were true. John takes over in his
wife's defense. He reminds Rolf that Stefano is dead and won't
know if he talks now. John grabs Rolf and pulls him up and
reminds him that Stefano trained him as a highly effective
assassin and unless he wants a most uncomfortable experience,
better start talking. Rolf agrees to tell them everything they
want to know.

Episode #9522
Taped - Various
Director - Randy Robbins
Love and jealousy abound at the Blue Note with 3
couples, Cassie makes a spectacle of herself at the pub, John,
Marlena and Tony learn more about the twins.
At The Blue Note
Abe and Lexie are still enjoying themselves (for the moment) when
Sami and Brandon arrive (Sami in a sexy leopard print number).
Brandon makes a b-line over to their table, chastising Lexie for
being there, lecturing her that she should be home resting. This
infuriates Abe as he and Brandon get into it. Abe and Lexie both
tell him to butt out (Lexie in a nice way, Abe not). Lucas and
his girl de jour (a stewardess named Angel) show up to be greeted
a the bar by Sami, who proceeds to jump all over them. She blasts
Lucas for dating a string of airheads as Angel goes to leave.
Lucas stops her and sends her to a table as he and Sami continue
to argue (those 2 sure can create sparks!) Lucas tells her not to
worry about him but instead she should be over there trying to
drag Brandon away from Lexie. Then he tells her to go straight to
hell. He joins Angel at their table as they talk about Sami (he
calls her a jealous loser that he dumped) as Sami listens,
stewing in her juices. Over at the Carver table, Able and Lexie
both repeatedly tell Brandon to leave them alone, but he is just
like a little gnat aggravating them. He finally leaves, prompting
Abe to ask what his problem is. As Brandon joins Sami, he keeps
an eye on them from across the room. Abe tells Lexie to stay away
from Brandon and that he wants him out of their lives. Abe says
that Brandon acts like he wants to be the father of the baby and
calls it a sick fantasy. Lexie tells Abe that HE is the father
and to never question that. This causes him to raise his eyebrow,
but she explains that they had one child taken away from them
before. THIS is their baby and no one could ever take it away.As
Lucas smooths things over with Angel, Sami sits a the next table
listening. He sees Brandon at the Carver table and has flashbacks
of discussing with him about him NOT being the father. Angel asks
Lucas what he did to make Sami hate him so much as he explains
about how she had his baby but he didn't know he was the father,
etc. Angel says she comes across like a jealous EX to her. Lucas
tells her that he doesn't want to talk about Sami anymore and
they kiss. Brandon returns and apologizes to Sami as she proceeds
to chew him out. Sami (loudly) says she knows that Brandon wishes
he was the father as Lucas sits behind them smiling. As they
continue to argue, Lucas makes comments about Brandon getting
caught in Sami's web. Brandon notices the heat between Lucas and
Sami and asks IF she is jealous. She says she would rather join a
convent. He suggests that the two of them go to counseling (for
Will's sake) but she flatly refuses. Sami vows to go after sole
custody again.
Teen Night At The Pub
Cassie is flirting hot and heavy with Chas (does anyone else
think he reminds them of Crispin Glover?). Rex and Mimi watch
them with Rex not liking it one bit. Shawn and Belle arrive and
Rex asks Belle to try and talk to Cassie. Mimi pulls Shawn aside
and enlists his help with Rex. LOL as she says she has done
everything she could do, short of tearing off her clothes and
jumping his bones. Mimi gives him the pitiful face and he gives
in and promises to talk to Rex. Belle tries to get Cassie to talk
to her, but she yanks away and falls in Chas's lap and they kiss.
Mimi excuses herself as Shawn and Rex talk about Mimi. It seems
that Rex IS interested in her so Shawn gives him advice on how to
court her. (Being like a big brother) Shawn tells him if he isn't
interested, let her down easy. Belle yanks Cassie away again,
lecturing her about Chas only being after one thing, sex. Cassie
tells her to mind her own business and flounces off. Belle
reports back to Rex and the gang that Cassie wouldn't listen to
her. Rex watches as Belle and Shawn kiss and cuddle. They decide
to go back to the dorm. After they are gone, Rex takes his cue
and begins to talk to and treat a stunned Mimi the same way. He
asks her back to the dorm when they hear Cassie scream and Rex
rushes over. Shawn and Belle return to the dorm and get all hot
and heavy on the bed, just as Cassie stumbles in, turning on the
lights. She is clearly drunk (Chas had been buying her beer all
night) and she collapses in the floor. Rex and Mimi rush in as
Shawn and Belle go to help her as well. She comes to for a
second, then passes out again. Rex and Shawn carry her to the bed
as Belle tells Mimi that Cassie has ruined her life for the last
time.
Over At DiMansion
John grabs Rolf by the collar demanding to know what he did to
Marlena. Rolf promises to tell them everything. He talks about
how she had the twins for months but Marlena doesn't remember
that. Rolf says that they were attached to her, but he was just
following his orders. He observed them often and talks about how
she used to rock them for hours. Marlena says she is beginning to
remember and that Cassie was always the fussy one (some things
never change, huh?) He has flashbacks of rocking them in the
white room as two men come and take them away. She hears whirring
sounds and looks through the window (she is locked in the room)
screaming for them to stop. In present time, she tells them she
remembers the twins being tattooed with the Phoenix. Rolf says
that she was never supposed to remember these things. She vows to
remember everything. Rolf and Tony argue as Tony threatens him.
Then Marlena and Tony double-team him, ending with Marlena
slapping him across the face and calling him a bastard. Later,
John tries to get her to leave and she finally gives in. But as
they go to leave, she is lightheaded and sits as John goes for
the car. Tony comes to the foyer upset and tells Marlena that
they shouldn't tell the twins any of this just now. Marlena and
Tony agree to be good parents and they shake on it, calling each
other "partner". Marlena says she feels so close to
them now as Tony says they are all connected. John returns (not
to happy to find her with Tony) and they leave. Once gone, Tony
goes after Rolf, but he has escaped. He yells for Bart and chews
him out for letting Rolf get away. Tony says that he got what he
wanted from Rolf but got MUCH more from Marlena as he smiles. He
says that the future has possibilities, saying that he and
Marlena are kindred spirits, and he thinks that she realized that
tonight.Outside, John asks what was going on back there, but she
tells John it's all different now. She says she can't just go
home and forget about all this. She says that they are all bound
together now, John, Tony, her and the twins. They need to make
sure that the future is better than the past, fade to black.
