Episode #9513
Taped 2/18/03
Director - Randy Robbins
Note: Today's episode has Paula Cwikly and Peter Brash again
listed first as the writers.
Brandon breaks the news about Sami to his mom, Abby gets a
peculiar gift from her grandfather, as the rest of Salem totes
their emotional baggage with them to Larry's sentence hearing.
Mother Knows Best
Brandon and his mom meet in the park for lunch, with him having
some news for her. He tells her about moving in with Sami and Fay
isn't so thrilled about it. He gets upset, but she thinks that
Sami Brady is nothing but trouble and for him to think with his
head instead of other parts of his anatomy. (Hey, didn't Nicole
tell him the same thing last week?) She warns him that Sami is
bad news and doesn't want to see him get hurt. He gets angry with
his mom, then apologizes. Fay talks about how she is changing
from being so weak and is determined to speak her mind now. Fay
is sure that Sami will end up making his life miserable. She says
she only loves him and doesn't want to see him end up getting
hurt. Brandon sings the praises of Sami and asks Fay to give her
a chance. Fay reluctantly agrees to keep an open mind.
At The Dorm
Shawn returns to his room from baseball practice to find Belle in
his bed but he warns her that he feels like he is coming down
with something. He sits down and listens as she whines about
Cassie and Rex being her new siblings, then on to Larry Welch and
how she has been thinking about how she almost died (oh, dry up,
Belle). He tells her about going off for their first road game,
but promises to spend lots of time with her when he returns. She
feels that she needs to go to the hearing for closure so both
decide to go after he gets ready.
Over At The Kiriakis Mansion
Nicole comes down in her riding outfit as Victor demands to know
where she is going. She smarts off at him and they get into it.
The doorbell rings and Nicole answers it only to find Kate. She
informs them that Larry is being sentenced today. Nicole claims
not to care, but Kate needles her, making Nicole extremely
nervous. Victor tells Kate to get out of there, until she
mentions something about Philip. Victor tells her in the future,
if she has news of Philip to use the phone. After Kate leaves,
Nicole panics, thinking that Kate knows something. Victor assures
her that only they know the truth. He tells her that if Larry
doesn't plead guilty, he will be killed. He then demands that she
change, for she WILL be accompanying him to the hearing.
At DiMansion
Tony is hurrying off to the hearing when he runs into Lexie. He
tells her that he is going to see that Larry pays for framing
Lexie for kidnapping. His talk makes her nervous, pointing out
that he sounds too much like "father". He tells her
about the twins being his and she is thrilled for him. She is
stunned when he tells her that Marlena is their mother. He tells
her that he wants to make up for lost years and that he will look
out for his family and protect them all, including her. He
realizes that he is late and rushes off, with her on his heels.
At The Courthouse
Jack and Jennifer arrive with Hope. Jen and Hope go inside as
Jack and Carson Palmer get into it. Jen asks Hope is she really
wants to be there, but Hope assures her that she NEEDS to be
there for her own peace of mind. Meanwhile, Larry is in his cell
as Bo comes in (calling him "Welchy") telling him that
the judge is going to throw the book at him. Larry proudly says
he turned Hope into a "wack job" as Bo grabs him
through the bars and begins to choke him. He asks him what it
feels like to have his life in someone else's hands. Abe and
Roman rush in and pull him off as Larry continues to taunt him,
making fun of Hope. Larry continues until Abe and Roman urge Bo
to get out of there, who tells Larry that they are going to get
him out of their lives for good. After they leave, Larry says
"Don't bet on it!"Back outside the courtroom, Jack
bashes Palmer over his incompetence in this case, how he first
had Jack, Jen, then Shawn and is he SURE he got the right guy
this time? Jack goes on in and urges Jen to go home and take care
of Abby, he can handle this. Jen gets a call from Abby, telling
her that Granpa's gift has arrived and that there is a sticker on
the box that says ALIVE. Jen goes on home, then later calls Jack
in a panic, telling him to get home NOW as she yells at Abby to
stay away from that. Jack rushes out of the courtroom.
At Jack & Jen's House
Jack approaches the door, hearing Jen yell at Abby. He sneaks in,
grabbing an umbrella for protection (LOL!) He makes his way over
to Jen as Abby rushes over excitedly telling him to look at her
gift. He asks what the HELL is THAT? Abby tells him that his name
is Horace as we see the ugliest black creature crawling across
the sofa. (It looks like a cross between a dog and a weasel). Jen
tells Jack it is a "binturong" as Jack exclaims that he
doesn't' care WHERE it's "bin" what IS it? (ROFL). They
are terrified of it as it crawls and sniffs around. All Abby
wants to do is to take it to school for show and tell and rushes
off to the kitchen to get it something to eat. Later, as Jack has
it in its cage, Jen warns him that Bill says there are more
surprises to come. Jack tells Abby that Horace needs a nap, just
like her and sends her upstairs. Jen gets a call from the DA's
office warning them not to print a word of Jack's conversation
with Palmer. He is upset, saying he isn't afraid of him. They
hear a noise (the cage door) and turn to see the cage is empty as
they hear a crash in the other room and grimace.
Back In The Courtroom
Kate arrives and immediately spots Victor and Nicole arriving and
takes the opportunity to harass them a bit more before taking her
seat. Tony and Lexie arrive, while explaining to Abe she is there
for Tony. Bo makes sure that Hope is okay and as Larry is brought
in, looks at her and says "it's always a pleasure Hope".
Shawn and Belle arrive as Larry and Victor share the evil eye
between each other and Larry has flashbacks of Victor's visit in
jail. As the hearing starts, we learn that Larry has waived his
rights to counsel and will represent himself. Hope has flashbacks
of the night Larry had them trapped in the house. The judge asks
if anyone has anything to say as the door opens and Alice enters,
wanting to address the court. She takes the stand, speaking on
behalf of the Bradys and Hortons, calling Larry a very bad man
and recounts his crimes against them. She says that personally,
she feels the prison is too good for him, but she hopes they lock
him up and throw away the key. Hope mouths a "thank you"
to her gram. The judge asks if anyone else has anything to say as
Hope takes the stand. She begins her testimony, talking about her
family. Larry asks if she wants any nachos to go with that cheese
(bahahaha, gotta love that Larry). She continues, saying she
refuses to be angry anymore because it is sad that all he has in
him is hate and bitterness. She says that no matter what his
sentence is, his punishment is inside of him, eating away at him
until there is nothing but a hollow shell of a man. He will NEVER
have what she has and can never take it away from her. She only
prays that he will never get the opportunity to hurt the ones she
loves again. When she finishes, Bo gives her a hug of support.
The judge takes a recess and while it is going on, Tony slips
over and tells Larry that as soon as the judge passes his life
sentence, the sooner he will be a dead man. Lexie hugs Hope,
telling her she is proud of her. Nicole worries what is going on
between Larry and Tony as Victor tells her not to worry about it.
The judge returns and allows Larry to make a statement. He gets
up on the stand and says that he wishes to change his plea to NOT
GUILTY, the deal is off. He stars at Victor, then Hope as it
fades to black.

see him get what he wants most out of life, and it happens to be
HER, Lexie asks Tony if he is being the type of role model he
wants for Rex and Cassie and he says ABSOLUTELY, Larry asks the
court to impose reasonable sentence with a possibility of parole
as Hope jumps up yelling "NO!", as the credits roll.

Episode #9514
Taped 2/19/03
Director - Phil Sogard
Head Writer - Dena Higley
Interaction runs rampant in the courtroom and Larry's verdict is
finally announced, the Deveraux's bid farewell to Horace and
surprise Abby, John does a little undercover work at DiMansion,
Rolf heard that fat lady singing and is heading out of Salem.
Ye Bye Horace And An Announcement Is Made
Jen and Abby wave goodbye to "Horace" as the zoo drives
him away. Abby's disappointed, but Jen assures her he'll make a
buddy with another of his own species at the zoo and will be
happy there. (Find it hard to believe customs even allowed it
into the U.S. myself) Jack comes downstairs announcing a surprise
for Abby and Jen. He has them close their eyes and sit on the
couch in the living room. He has Abby's doll house set up and has
"quickly" made finger puppets of the 3 of them and
Horace (quick work getting a binturon face to put on his finger,
haha) as he proceeds with a puppet show. The finger puppets of
Jack, Jen and Abby assure Horace he'd be happier in a zoo and
Jack (with Jen's agreement) tells Abby that he and Jen have a
surprise for her, that they are getting remarried (darn, was
hoping she'd get a puppy too, haha) A delighted Abby runs
upstairs to make a congratulations card for her parents, who are
happy she's not pining away for old Horace. Jack and Jen decide
to "be very afraid" of what Bill will send them
considering after what he sent Abby. Later, Jen comes downstairs
to tell Jack about the fabulous card Abby made for them to find
the room cleaned up and Jack made chocolate fondue (oh yum) to
help cover up the smell and to eat in the meantime. Vowing to
stay this happy forever, the couple kisses and feeds chocolate
fondue to each other.
Undercover John
We find John in his all black undercover outfit as his new
sidekick speaks his mind. He tells John he'll need more then a
basic black outfit and his powerbelt, LOL to fight DiMera. He
pulls out a new bug for John to plant where it'll do the best
against Tony.
DiMansion
Marlena returns home from shopping with the twins. Cassie figures
she should learn to call Tony "Dad". Marlena smiles as
Cassie calls out for Tony (aka Dad) and Rex senses Marlena's glad
that Tony's not home. They tell her they can tell Marlena hates
Tony. She admits not having warm feelings for Tony or being
comfortable in his presence, but she doesn't HATE him. She warns
them they'll be disappointed if they expect her to be more then
casual friends with Tony. Cassie assures her they're not selfish
kids just wanting their family together (little jab at Abby
there?). They just know that Tony cares for Marlena and they just
want to see him happy. Rex has a (black and white) flashback of
his earlier conversation about Tony's feelings for Marlena and
lets Marlena know Tony was very happy to see her earlier. Marlena
defends John and tells them he's her husband and how John's
earlier actions were only those of a man protecting his family.
Tony calls from the hallway at the courthouse and Cassie suggests
joining him. He tells her that's not necessary, but she can if
she wants to. Marlena and Rex decide to go as well and the three
bundle up as they step outside (Marlena comments "Washington
DC all over again" referring to the cold weather). John
watches from the shrubs outside as they all leave. He turns off
the security keypad with a gun of some sort and gets in the door
and to the basement where he overhears Rolf telling Bart how he's
packing up all his stuff and leaving. He can't believe Count
DiMera exposed him to John and Marlena. Bart goes to open the
door and says they've got a problem there as John silently groans.
Later we find that Bart was referring to having to tell Tony the
news about Rolf and returns to hug Rolfski before helping him
with the heavy box. John rushes into the room and plants the new
bug (wally wabbit) into the floor-to-ceiling computer on the wall.
We see Bart trying to fix the security keypad and goes for
another screw driver as John slides out and reactivates the pad
and leaves. Bart returns and calling it "twilight zone time",
LOL, is relieved that he won't have to tell the boss man about it
and goes back inside.
The Courtroom
An angry DA and courtroom rumble about Larry Welch's change of
plea to not guilty. Larry asks for 15 minutes to consider his
next move as Bo protests and Palmer does so as well. Palmer
announces Welch's deal is set and he won't get any sweeter deal
by doing this. The judge gives Larry 15 minutes and orders he be
taken to his cell. Kate watches as Nicole sits nervously. Victor
asks Bo if he can see Larry in his cell as he might be able to
help the situation. Hope turns to chat with Shawn and Belle,
wanting this nightmare to be behind them. Outside the courtroom
Lexie tells Tony she saw him whisper to Welch and knows he's
behind this change of events after what Larry did to set her up
for Hope and Zack's kidnapping. Tony only states he'll protect
his family. Lexie asks Tony if being vengeful and ruthless is a
role model he wants to set for his children. Absolutely, Tony
says. Kate joins Nicole and taunts her about being tamed now that
she's married to Victor. She asks where Victor went.Victor is
taken to see Larry and threatens him again. Larry knows he's dead
either way after Victor knows Dimera got to him. That bastard
threatened you, didn't he? (LOL. like Victor didn't). Larry said
justice should be served and Victor's precious grandson pay for
his own crime.. If he wants him to plead guilty, he'll have to
guarantee his safety. Victor tells him he'll take care of it.
Victor joins Tony in the hallway and asks Tony to call off the
hit on Larry Welch. He'd be indebted to the DiMera family if he
does so. Tony says what he's asking is impossible, but leaves it
as that. The twins and Marlena arrive and the twins head to see
Belle and Shawn as Tony delays Marlena (who's anxious to see
Belle). He wants to thank Marlena for helping to raise their
children and to see how things are going. Marlena says fine and
excuses herself to join Belle. Lexie catches Marlena and blurts
out about Tony wanting to punish Larry before stopping herself.
Tony walks in and looks back with a smile as Marlena and Lexie
watch him. Marlena softly talks to Tony and asks him to leave
Larry Welch alone. If he won't do it for Rex and Cassie, then to
do it for her. Rubbing his forehead and clearly smitten, he tells
her very well. Tony asks Abe to give Larry Welch a message for
him before he returns to the courtroom. He asks him to tell Welch
"that today is his lucky day". A confused Abe is
encouraged by Lexie to do as Tony asks and Abe agrees. Abe joins
Welch and asks if he's decided what to do. He gives him Tony's
message and we see Larry's expression change at the news.Victor
joins Nicole and tells Kate to leave his wife alone. Roman
escorts Kate to their seat and she tells him that Victor and
Nicole are up to something. Bo tells Hope something's going on
here and he's going to find out what. Victor tells a nervous
Nicole to shut up and show some dignity and act like a Kiriakis.
Court is resumed and Larry looks out over the courtroom as he
announces he'll accept the deal and pleading guilty to the
kidnapping of Hope Brady and her son, two counts of attempted
murder of Hope Brady and Belle Black and the 2nd degree murder of
Colin Murphy. Hope covers her eyes in relief and Tony smiles,
knowing Victor feels he did it for him and will now be in his
debt (even though he really changed his mind because of Marlena).
(we haven't seen him call off the hit yet, which it appeared he
ordered on his phone before Victor joined him in the hallway
though). Larry begs for the courts mercy in determining his fate
being he came forward to plead guilty. He'd like the court to
leave a possibility of parole in his sentence. Later the judge
signs her verdict. Two terms of life in prison to be served
consecutively and therefore no chance of parole. A relieved
courtroom as people hug, smirk and smile. Marlena goes over to
Belle and hugs her, telling her she loves her and has to leave.
Cassie watches jealously. Tony leans forward and tells Victor he
owes him and intends to collect. Lexie brushes off Abe's request
to know what Tony's message meant.Marlena rushes over to Basic
Black. She tells John (who's back in his dark suit and blue tie
again) about the verdict. He tells her same old same old (regarding
his day) as they kiss and an ISA notebook is uncovered on his
desk (so much for secrecy, haha). Roman and Kate (who's still
suspicious of Nicole) leave. The twins tell Tony they want to
stay with Belle and Shawn and will see him later. Abe tells Tony
he can now deliver his own messages as he walks Lexie out. Larry
and Hope exchange looks as Bo whispers it's over in her ear. He
suggests they go celebrate that they'll never have to see Larry
again as Larry watches while being taken out. When the door
shuts, Bo and Hope both say buh bye and hug and kiss.

2003
Episode #9515
Taped 2/20/03
Director - Herb Stein
St. Luke's Carnival is the main attraction for several Salemites,
as Chloe's friends pay her a visit, while Tony & Bart make a
startling discovery.
DiMansion
Tony arrives home to find Bart at the chess board, lamenting the
absence of Rolf. At Tony's questioning, Bart explains how Rolf
has left (using every synonym for it you can imagine, including
sayanora & averedecchi, lol, love that Bart!). Tony is angry,
muttering that Rolf may be thru with the DiMeras, but the DiMeras
are NOT thru with him. They go down to the computer room (hmm,
looks as tho that computer is back in place, maybe I'm wrong)
when Tony hears a short beep. Bart investigates, finding "wally
wabbit" very easily. (so much for John's spy skills, they
must've gotten pretty rusty, lol) Tony orders Bart to seal the
room, as it is no longer "secret" since his nemesis
gained entry so easily. He remarks the "bug" is a
throwback to his father's era, and he doesn't need it any more,
telling Bart to get rid of it. As Bart is about to grind it w/his
foot, Tony stops him, picking it up, and talking into it, to
John, saying it is the last transmission he will get, then Tony
stomps on it. He orders Bart to get a new security set up, state
of the art, so no one can come near w/o him knowing. He tells
himself he has his children, his legacy to think of now. (GMAB!)
Salem Hospital
Mimi & Belle arrive at the nursery, oohing over the babies
there, as Rex & Cassie come up. Belle tells them Chloe's baby
sis is with Mrs. Wesley, & of course, Cassie inquires about
Shawn, (he is home w/a cold) and they all go to Chloe's room.
Brady has been busy w/his laptop, showing Chloe how to bring up
the hospital, newborns, and eventually a pic of Joy. (Wow, his
machine loads instantly, is the brand called Supersonic?) He then
starts talking of vacations, going first to Australia, the Sydney
Opera House, then to Italy and LaScala. The teens come in,
bearing gifts. Belle brought matching outfits for Chloe & Joy
(?) while Meems brought loads of magazines. Chloe is surprised to
see the twins, as Rex hands her a big bouquet of flowers. Craig
comes in to see his daughter, & when asked how long the
recovery period is after a transplant, Rex really spouts a lot of
info. (much too short a scene w/Craig) Seems he has been
researching. Craig suggests he go into medicine, while Meems
calls him Doogie Howser. LOL. He leaves, they chat for a bit,
then Chloe urges them all to go to the carnival. After they
leave, Brady gets a bright idea, leaves, then returns with a a
surprise.
He has brought the carnival to Chloe, he claims, putting up a
dart board, then giving her the darts, while he holds a balloon
in the center of the board, telling her to throw. (C'mon, folks,
NO ONE should be standing near a dart board, while someone else
throws darts. Safety First! Yikes!) Naturally, Chloe misses, but
fortunately has missed Brady's zipper, tho his eyes open wide. He
assures her of standing by her thru her entire hospital stay.
Bo & Hope Arrive At Tuscany, welcomed by the
ever so beautiful Maggie, and get seated. They toast to No More
Larry Welch, & then take to the dance floor. (Song playing is
Kelly Moneymaker's Can't Live Without Your Love). They talk a
bit, and decide to leave. Bo leads a blindfolded Hope into the
middle of the St. Luke's Carnival. (O.K. Praising the set
designers here, as it truly looks exactly as a carnival should.
Kudos!) Her blindfold comes off and Hope is absolutely delighted,
saying it is perfect. They wander around, enjoying the sights and
some cotton candy, when Hope spots the kissing booth. She rushes
over, makes a deal w/the gal behind it, and motions Bo over. And
now a WONDERFUL flashback to the carnival, and kissing booth
where thevery young Bo & Hope kissed for the lst time. Return
to the present, as Bo gives up 30 tickets, and a big kiss to his
wife.
The teens arrive, and they, too, wander around, with Rex winning
a stuffed animal he gives to Mimi. She spots the kissing booth,
gets Rex to go over, makes her own deal with the gal, but just as
she gets behind the booth, ol pouty Cassie pulls Rex away,
smarting cuz Belle has left, and Rex went off with Mimi. A
disappointed Meems then runs into a nun, who talks her into
taking a turn in the dunk booth. (O.K. folks, earlier today,
Marlena was bemoaning how cold it was... now we have a dunking?)
Mimi reluctantly gets in, taunting the guys who try to dunk her,
but it is Rex who finally manages to put her in the drink. A
dripping Mimi comes out, Rex puts the big towel over her head,
and she gets her reward, as Rex plants a big one smack dab on her
eager lips. (Have I said how much I enjoy Meems?).We see Belle
return to her dorm room, loaded down with stuffed animals, and
she calls Shawn. She brags about her prowess in the booths, and
how she may give the toys to Zack, tells him she misses him, etc.
etc. (This has got to be a filler scene, and wonder why she just
up and left Mimi)Back to the carnival as Bo & Hope spot a
fortune teller. Bo wants no part, but Hope laps that stuff up, so
they go. The fortune teller says she has lots of positive energy,
says she has a long life ahead, mentions hard times in the past (FB
to Larry holding Hope w/gun, ordering Bo to drop his), but says
the tide is turning, she will have peace of mind and great
happiness. Hope is very relieved. Meanwhile, Cassie happily gets
talked into taking a turn at the kissing booth, to give the gal
there a break. LOL As Bo & Hope leave the fortune teller, Bo
returns to get his jacket. He pays off the teller, thanking her
for doing exactly as he asked. He is determined Hope WILL have
peace of mind.

THURSDAY, MARCH 13TH, 2003
Episode #9516
Taped Various
NEW Director - Albert Alarr
As Tony and John prepare for their own war the rest of Salem is
having well deserved fun at St. Luke's Carnival. A toast is made
at Tuscany to new beginnings.
The Secret Room
Tony finds Bart packing up the secret room. He instructs him to
shred, not pack the files. He has no interest in cloning or
genetics and wants everything destroyed. Bart's worried that he
might be "shredded" as well, Tony assures him no. Bart
tells Tony that he and John remind him of the song NIGHT AND DAY
(and that "you are the one") and suggests the empty
room would make a great recording schedule. Tony reminds Bart of
his other assignment, to find Rolf and torture him if necessary
to find out about Stefano and the twins. Bart has bad news on
that, Rolf's disappeared. He compares it to the time the aliens
crash landed in their pod and Rolf played a Houdini and like
gonesville, (oh Bart, haha). Remembering the "aliens"
are Tony's children, Bart clarifies it's a technical term for non
U.S. born DiMera spawn (ROFLMAO!) He didn't mean to insult Tony's
kids. Tony calmly says Rolf is evil and caused his children to
suffer. He softly warns Bart not to fail him and glides out with
a nod and a smile. Later Bart joins Tony in the study and says
knock knock (being the door's open). Tony hopes it's not a joke (LOL)
and Bart assures him it's not, it's serious. Rolf can't be found.
The secret room is all packed up. Bart suggest they call out the
pest control as John's anxious to get into that room again.
Basic Black
John and OPS prepare to listen to John's hidden bug. They turn on
the recorder and get static (well, John..it wasn't really hidden
that well if Bart could find it). John hears Tony's message to
him before destroying the bug. OPS asks if John planted the
device in a location near heat. John tells him it was in a room
full of computers and OPS shakes his head. John's mad that OPS
didn't warn him about that and how Tony is on to him now. Later
we join them as OPS writes up a status report. OPS said DiMera
may have won the first round, but John's not going down for the
count, it's the count that's going down. (I like this new guy,
he's a quick thinker, should we warn him not to drink the water??)
John's determined to find out DiMera's secrets.
St. Luke's Carnival
Brandon and Sami are at the carnival. She tells Brandon that Will
wore himself out there and is with her grandparents now. (A new
look for her with pigtails and a yarn cap, but cute.) Roman runs
into them and before Sami can tell him about Brandon moving in,
he tells her he knows and not happy about it. Brandon excuses
himself as Roman explains to Sami his position on the issue. She
fires back that he isn't putting HIS children first before having
an affair with the woman who tried to ruin her life. She heads
off to find Brandon. Hope and Bo are happy and relaxed. Proud of
her strength in dealing with this, she hugs him and knows
everything will be okay. Lucas and Kate chat as he teases her
about her pink stuffed pig Roman won for her. Roman joins her and
Lucas leaves. They run into Hope and Bo, who tell them about the
fortune teller. Hope heads off to get some canoles (for Zack, but
admits for herself too, LOL) Bo tells Roman and Kate about
bribing the fortune teller to ensure Hope wouldn't get a gloom
and doom fortune. Sensing a fight between the brothers, Kate
bails. Roman tells Bo he did the right thing, but Bo rants about
how Shawn was only protecting him that night. Roman calmly
explains his feelings and asks him to put everything behind them
like Hope wants. Both know Roman would do the same thing again.
Kate joins Hope, who bought out the canoles, haha. Hope asks Kate
to push fate a little and needs her help. The gals join the guys
and suggest a double date for dinner somewhere. Lexie and Abe (still
in a dark suit and tie, poor guy) stroll threw the carnival. Both
Abe and Brandon decide to go for the same booth. Brandon
challenges Abe to hitting the bell with the hammer but Lexie and
the booth guy convince the two to let someone else try. Sami
heads off to find Lucas (to talk about Will) leaving Brandon with
Abe and Lexie. Sami finds Lucas strolling the carnival with
Eugenia from the lab. Sami and Lucas exchange insults and he
leaves. Sami is obviously worried that Eugenia will tell Lucas
what she did. Eugenia knows exactly what Sami's worried about.
Eugenia explains she's been busy at work, but Lexie has a right
to know the truth. She's going back to the hospital and talk with
Dr. Bader. Sami reminds her they both have something on each
other. Eugenia's enjoying watching Sami squirm and heads off to
have some fun with Sami's ex. Lucas watches from the kissing
booth, smiling at Sami's obvious stress about something. Sami
overhears Lexie reminding Brandon that she and Abe will take care
of their baby and it's none of his concern. Sami interrupts.
Later Lexie tells Sami and Brandon she hopes they'll be as happy
as her and Abe. Abe and Lexie stroll off, happy to be together.
Nothing's going to spoil that, Abe says. Sami thanks Brandon for
being a good role model for Will. She gets a chill and he
suggests going home (so it IS outside?? I thought I heard a
roller coaster earlier too.) Sami tells Brandon she told Will
that Brandon's not going anywhere and Brandon seals that promise
with a kiss.
Tuscany
The Brady foursome thank Maggie for a great table and suggest she
hit the carnival. Maggie says Mickey's picking her up after he
gets off work and they're going over (that Mickey is a workaholic!)
Hope recommends the canoles (guess they made more after Hope
left?) Hope, Roman and Kate try to mellow Bo towards Roman. Roman
tells Bo he thought Shawn was on the path of hurting himself if
he held in that secret any longer and was trying to protect him.
Bo considers that as Roman not thinking he (Bo) could handle the
situation. Before things get out of hand, Kate asks Roman to
dance as does Hope to Bo. Roman thanks Kate for her support. She
tells him how her sons never got to know each other while growing
up and asks if he and Bo know how lucky they are to have? Bo and
Hope talk about Roman. He knows Roman's there for them, but he
can't forget what Roman did. Hope knows Roman won't forget either.
Bo remembers when they thought Roman was dead and his regrets at
that time. As he ages he seems to have a harder time forgetting
things and feels an explosion building up inside him for the next
time Roman criticizes how he does things. He fears that
something's going to happen where he and Roman will argue and
never be able to go back to the way they were. Hope asks Kate if
she can dance with Roman and Bo asks Kate to dance. Hope tells
Roman it's the most relaxed she's seen Kate and how good he is
for her. Bo asks Kate about Philip, concerned that he hasn't
returned his last couple of emails. Kate tells him the last phase
of basic is survival training and they're awaiting word of where
he'll be sent. (doesn't mention his break where he's going
golfing with a friend though) Bo asks about Billie and Kate feels
it's best Billie's not in Salem. They talk about Roman and Kate
assures Bo she cares about his brother. She admits she thinks
she's falling in love with Roman. Standing on the dance floor, he
asks if she's told him how she feels. Kate is embarrassed, saying
she drank too much wine and needs to sit down, but Bo suggests
she tell Roman. Roman hears the last part. Kate figures it's time
to go home, but how about sharing a sinful dessert first? He
agrees as Bo and Hope continue dancing while watching the
lovebirds. Later at their table, Bo looks at Roman and makes a
toast to new beginnings. The brothers stare into each other's
eyes and the foursome all clink glasses and drink to that. Roman
doesn't realize Bo isn't referring to just new beginnings between
them and smiles. The music starts up and Bo tells Hope they're
playing their song (yup, the one his real life wife Kelly
Moneymaker wrote and sang for them before Can't Live Without Your
Love) and Bo hints to Roman to go home. Roman takes the cue. He
thanks them for everything and insists on paying the bill for all
of them and excuses himself to do so. Bo suggests Kate tell Roman
how she feels tonight. Hope asks what that's all about and Bo
explains that it's time he return the favor and take care of
Roman now. He just gave fate a little push. The two laugh and
start dancing

Episode #9519
Taped Various
Director: Phil Sogard
Belle envies what Brady and Chloe have, Roman continues to pine
for Kate (almost to the point of harassment and/or stalking, IMO),
Rex cross-examines Tony as to his intentions as Tony fills
Marlena in, and Marlena, in turn, is NOT a happy camper and
decides to confront John.
At The Hospital
John shows up to see Marlena (perhaps trying to smooth things
over?). (John has a new "do" with his hair parted on
the side.) It seems that she left this morning without saying
good bye. She is cold to him and snaps that she is there because
she is a doctor and has patients. But she DOES want to know where
HE was last night, and she wants the TRUTH. He hem-haws around
and won't level with her. But she already knows that he is after
Tony, lets him know that she is NOT pleased with him and storms
off.Brady is sitting with a sickly Chloe as Belle watches from
the hallway. He offers to tell her a story about a beautiful
damsel. Later, as he finishes the story, she drops off to sleep
and he spots Belle and slips out to the hallway. He gives her an
update on Chloe and Belle tells him that she could see from his
face that he is in love. She begins her whining about Shawn being
gone and is still upset that he didn't trust her enough to tell
her what he was going through (oh, get over it Belle). Brady
tries to comfort her, but she continues to rant about Shawn's
behavior. She draws comparisons to how Shawn treated her vs. how
Brady is with Chloe. Craig comes by and tells them that the
harvesting of Joy's marrow was a success and they are ready to
proceed with the transplant as soon as Chloe is up to it. Brady
goes back in as Chloe stirs and he tells her the good news.Later,
Belle is in with Chloe as they talk about Brady. Belle has some
more magazines for her and offers to read to her. Chloe is
impressed with Belle's fashion sense as she talks about her trip
to Paris (to study design) was cut short. Chloe thinks that she
and Shawn are "star-crossed" and thinks it is romantic.
But Belle feels otherwise. She tries to (tactfully) ask about
Brady and Chloe's sex lives. Chloe seems embarrassed to talk
about it, but assures her that they are happy in every way and
believes that they were meant to be. Belle thinks that there is
something wrong between her and Shawn, with him shutting her out
so much and that being intimate would be a mistake. Brady walks
in and they clam up. He has a surprise for Chloe, he had their
video from Colorado edited and music added and plays it. (The
music playing is Nadia singing "Easy to Love"). As the
three of them watch it, Belle quietly slips out (clearly envious
of what they have). She calls Shawn, but a female answers his
phone and she hangs up.
Over At Titan
Kate is in deep thought (almost as deep as her neckline, don't
bend over Kate! Hmmm, she must be attending the Sami Brady School
for Office Attire, LOL). Roman comes in, bringing her briefcase (she
left it at his place). She thinks that she is spending too much
time thinking about him and it is affecting her judgement. He
asks what is going on with her and she tells him that she was
thinking about the evening they spent with Bo and Hope and how
she doesn't feel that she fits in with him or his family. She
talks about her shady past as he tries to dissuade her, saying
nothing she has ever done could change how he feels about her now.
She cuts him off and rushes off to a meeting. While she is gone,
John drops in, finding Roman there. (He jokes, asking Roman WHEN
did HE start working there). They talk about Kate and Roman asks
him how things are with the ISA. John tells him about
investigating Tony and keeping Marlena out of the loop. (So,
okay, you can tell Roman, but can't tell your WIFE? Pahleeze!)
John thinks Marlena would object and try to stop him because her
children are involved. Roman thinks this will come between them.
John smarts off about how Roman would like nothing better, but
Roman explains that he is over Marlena and is moving on with Kate.
John apologizes and they talk about John misses being a Brady.
Roman assures him that he will always be like one of the family
as John explains that he can understand how Kate has those
feelings of not fitting in. Roman assures John that his family is
great and should be proud of them. John thanks him and leaves as
Roman waits for Kate to return.Kate returns later to find Roman
at her desk reading articles she downloaded from the internet.
She gets angry with him and threatens to call security. He says
he had the right to read them, since they are all about him. She
admits to researching him and says all she learned is that he is
a good guy. She says she feels that she is the opposite and has
lost her moral center. He thinks she is too hard on herself and
he kisses her. She asks him to leave so she can get some work
done. On his way out, he informs her that he too is going to be
doing some investigating on her to learn all he can about her. To
herself, Kate doesn't think that is a good idea.
At DiMansion
Tony is having breakfast and is joined by Rex. After talking a
bit, Tony realizes just how intelligent Rex is (he says his IQ
test freaked out the doctors). Rex asks Tony just what is he up
to, he knows he is involved in something and isn't fooling him.
Rex has noticed all the new security cameras, etc. but Tony says
it is all to protect Rex and Cassie. Rex isn't buying it,
pointing out that they live at the dorm most of the time. Rex
mentions Dr. Putnam (Rolf) as Tony asks if he knows where he is.
Rex asks why Tony has so many secrets and wants to know what the
plan is. Rex can't understand all this, but Tony explains that
keeping your secrets is important to build up your power and keep
it. Tony advises him to wear a mask and armor at all times and
must never show his real feelings. He tells him, who you are is
your own business.Marlena shows up outside, clearly nervous about
going in. Tony says that maybe Rex doesn't crave power like him
but Rex assures him that he does want to control his own destiny.
Rex talks about not wanting to be a "normal" person,
putting in your time at a job, much like the Bradys. He wants
more out of life. Marlena comes in, surprised that Aliana just
let her right in. Tony informs her that the staff has been told
that this is like Marlena's second home and can come and go as
she pleases (which seems to hit a nerve with her). She claims
that she is there to see the children so Tony leaves her and Rex
alone. She says something about John keeping secrets from her and
Tony pipes up saying he knows where John was last night and what
he was up to. After excusing Rex, he tells her all about John
breaking in and bugging the place. Tony goes on (with his poor me
routing) whining about how John is after him and paints John in
the worst light, unsettling Marlena. Marlena says she will see
that John does not disrupt the childrens' lives and abruptly
leaves. After she is gone, Tony smiles, proud of himself. Rex
returns (upset that Marlena left) as Tony tries to explain that
she only wants what is best for them. Rex demands to know why
John was there and if Tony is trying to take Marlena away from
him. Tony says it would serve John right. Rex asks if it is
because of what happened with Kristen, is he after revenge? Rex
asks Tony if he is looking for another chance at love. He says
that it is apparent that Tony is in love with Marlena and asks
him about the mask and armor he is supposed to be wearing.Back at
the Hospital.
John comes by, telling Marlena that they need to talk and that he
doesn't want her angry with him. She asks if he has good reason
to be breaking in and spying on Tony. She is pissed at him and
says she wants to know what he is up to. John says that it is
between him and Tony. Marlena spits "The hell it is!"
and storms off disgusted, as we see previews for the next show.
