Episode #9489
Taped - 1/16/03
Director - Phil Sogard
Bo works to prove Hope is not the murderer, Sami and
Brandon have a fight, Tony obsesses on the twins and going home,
John and Marlen discuss the paternity of the twins.
At Brandon's Pad
he and Sami argue and she tells him that she is trying to protect
him, for she KNOWS he killed Colin. Brandon becomes upset with
her and asks why she didn't just ask him about it instead of
trying to frame his sister. As she explains her reason for
thinking, he can't believe what she is saying. She goes on and on
about how they are so much alike and that she loves him so much
and how he is the best thing that has ever happened to her. (insert
same dialogue from the past 2 months here). Brandon informs her
that they are NOT alike as he rakes her over the coals for trying
to frame Nicole. He says he would NEVER let Nicky take the blame
for something HE did. He talks about how Jack confessed to
protect Jennifer. Sami says she can't stand the though of him
going to prison for something he didn't do, especially for Nicole.
She begs him to think of their future, not Nicole's. She asks him
if the situation were reversed, would he protect HER? Brandon
rails her again, saying that she is impulsive and always makes
the wrong decisions and just because she hates her sister (Carrie)
it doesn't mean he hates his. She goes off on how Nicole ruined
Eric's life. Brandon asks if Sami is going to force him to choose
between her and his sister. Sami says yes you must. After leaving
Jennifer's house (see below) Nicole returns Brandon's, just in
time (hiding in the hallway) to hear them arguing and Brandon
tossing Sami out.
Also At The Hospital
John and Marlena are in her office (I think) also talking about
the twins as she talks about it being her responsibility to
protect their interestes. John says that if they find out she is
the mother, can she deal with that? John asks her if she WANTS to
be their mother. Marlena gets a bit peeved at him, saying she
doesn't want to believe that she gave birth to them and then
abandoned them. She asks what if they discover the truth, will HE
be able to accept it and them? John asks what if they find out
other things, like the twins were created to be DiMera pawns,
could she accept that? Marlena says they can't blame the children
for what they are. John says that they don't know how dangerous
they are or what they are capable of. Marlena asks if he wants
her to turn her back on the children? She becomes a bit agitated
as John tries to explain. He says he fears for her safety as well.
They talk about how they think Tony may be manipulating her and
John is sure that it is all part of a master plan to get Marlena.
She assures him that HE (John) is her husband and the one she
wants and Tony can't undo that. After John gets off the phone
with Bo (see below) he is ready to head to the island but Marlena
says that she can't go right now, Hope and Belle both need her.
John says that Tony isn't going anywhere, so they can wait until
she is ready.
Over At Jennifer's
With a kiss, Jack thanks Alice for her advice. She says that Jack
and Jen remind her of herself and Tom. Someone starts clanging on
the doorbell as Jack goes to find a drunk Nicole. She is furious
with him for teaming up with Sami and calls him an underhanded
bastard. After Jack helps Alice upstairs, he and Nicole exchange
insults and barbs. He needles her as she berates him. All of a
sudden, Jack says he thinks he has figured it all out and knows
who did it. Nicole forces him to spill his guts and warns him, it
had better not be HER. Jack says that Sami is trying to frame
Nicole to protect someone else, Brandon. Nicole erupts, defending
Brandon but Jack reminds her of how Brandon almost killed Austin
in the boxing ring. Jack then turns the tables on Nicole,
pointing out HER motives, talking about her sleeping with Colin
and being blackmailed. Nicole says, like on 'Law & Order',
who dunnit is NEVER who you think. Jennifer returns (from Bo and
Hope's, see below) and warns Jen if she is in cahoots with Jack,
and they are trying to frame her, she will shut the Spectator
down, then stumbles out the door. Jack apologizes to Alice for
having to witness all that. Alice can see that Jen is upset and
they hug. After Alice leaves, Jen tries to convince Jack to drop
the whole murder investigation story. She says she can't handle
it.
At The Brady House
Bo sneaks in the back door with the bloody rag, bags it and hides
it in a kitchen drawer. As he heads into the living room, he
overhears Hope confessing to murder to Jen. He goes in and stops
her, saying that she could NOT have done it. He tells her that he
talked to Davis (Victor's driver) and said that there was no
blood on her that night and she didn't have a gun. She thinks she
could have hidden it. She and Bo both keep trying to prove each
other's case as Jen is very uncomfortable and offers to go and
make tea. Bo takes off after her but it's too late, when he gets
there, she has already found the bloody rag. (Sure, EVERYONE
keeps their tea and their bloody rags in the same drawer). Bo
asks Jen not to mention it and tells her where and how he found
it. He decides not to tell Hope and asks Jen to keep quiet as
well. When Hope comes in, he hides it. Jen says she isn't feeling
well and decides to head home. Hope follows her to the living
room to see if she is okay. There, Jen admits to Hope that she
has NOT seen a doctor yet, nor has she even taken a pregnancy
test. She frets over having to tell Jack. After Jen leaves, Bo and
Hope have tea and snuggle on the sofa. She talks about how she is
feeling better and has decided to rip the "victim" sign
off and throw it away. Bo wants to go and get her prescription
filled (even though she says she doesn't need it). When he gets
outside, he calls John to ask about an emergency lab to have
something tested. Alone, Hope begins to have flashbacks of being
held by Larry and fighting with him. She pulls out a flyer about
self defense and decides it's time to prepare herself.Meanwhile,
Larry has been busy as well. He is back at the hotel cleaning his
face as he damns Bo for returning so early. He mutters about Plan
B. Later, he is reading a book about mental disorders, reading up
on post traumatic syndrome. In the front of the book, he finds
Marlena's name and thanks her for her advice. Later, he is
practicing Marlena's signature and pulls out a prescription pad
and asks "What were you thinking Dr. Evans?" He says he
is writing a prescription for death, for Bo and Hope Brady.
At The Hospital
An agitated Tony is visited by Lexie. He is ready to go home,
worried about the twins. Tony is upset that if they really are
his children that Stefano kept it from him. Lexie asks how he
could let them both go through all that suffering (as she has a
long series of flashbacks of kidnapping Isaac and then
discovering that Stefano was responsible for the baby switch in
the beginning). She tells Tony that even though she loved "father",
at times she is relieved he is gone. She asks Tony point blank if
he is really gone this time. Rolf wanders up to hear them talking
just as Lexie offers to go and get take out for them from Tuscany
(I guess poor Abe will have to fend for himself, huh?) After she
leaves, Rolf goes in and Tony immediately begins to threaten him.
He accuses him of knowing all along that the twins were his and
Rolf denies it. After a few physical threats, Rolf is visibly
shaken. Tony asks what else he has lied about, what at the plans
for Cassie and Rex and most importantly, WHO is their MOTHER?
Rolf assures him that he doesn't know of the twins' paternity and
Tony asks what they are trained to do, even murder? Tony wants
them to lead normal lives and says if they are ever used for
nefarious purposes, Rolf will pay the ultimate price. With that (while
shaking in his boots) Rolf leaves.Lexie returns with their take-out
from Tuscany as a restless and agitated Tony wants to just go
home. He begs Lexie to do a test for him. He asks her to stick
him in the foot with a pin to see if he has any reaction to pain.
(Actually, I'd like to stick him somewhere else, since he is
being such a pain in the ass!) She does as he asks and he feels
it. Both laugh excitedly as it fades to black.

Episode #9490
Taped - various
Director - Mary Madeiras
A slow day in Salem as the WOE IS ME'S attack our Salemites.
Nancy watches Craig trying to build the baby's crib. (I'm sure
many of you can relate with Craig's trying to build a crib using
the instructions given, haha.) WOE IS Nancy as she resents their
missing out on these moments when she was pregnant with Chloe and
grows agitated, wanting to find out why they were lied to at the
hospital back then and who was responsible. Craig convinces her
their priority now is curing Chloe and having a healthy new
daughter. Nancy agrees to wait for those answers. Later Craig's
making progress on the crib and offers to make her some lemonade.
She accepts, but asks him to make hers with milk (ewww). He heads
off to make it after reminding her what their priorities are, but
she tells herself she can't rest until she knows WHO lied to them
about Chloe. We return to her talking to "daddy" on the
phone. She asks him to come visit, but he suggests she come there.
She tells him she can't fly and urges him to come. He suggests
after the baby's born and curious as to her rush to see him,
asking if there's a problem with her marriage. She assures him
she just wants to see him and hangs up as Craig returns. She
lies, saying she returned a call from Elizabeth in her Lamaz
class. Craig can tell Nancy's rattled and wants to take her blood
pressure.
WOE IS Brady as he blames himself for Tony's getting injured and
possibly paralyzed. Chloe calls the hospital for him and Brenda
tells her Tony's out of surgery, but too soon to know if he's
still paralyzed. Chloe cheers Brady up and he tells her he's
never letting her out of his site. Chloe reminds him she'll be in
isolation after the bone marrow transplant, but he vows to be on
the other side of the wall on the phone to her until they throw
him out. He shows her where he planted a garden (under the snow
right now though he says) with her favorite flowers. He suggests
they make up an itinerary of things to do in the spring. She
talks about a gazebo (he remembers hearing her sing there) and a
picnic in the park. He wants to fill her with happy memories to
take to the hospital and for them to repeat afterwards. She
suggests they start now by reading poetry and drinking hot cocoa.
Kiss kiss. Brady claims himself cured (from his concussion) and
ready for anything, we return to candles being lit, music (My
Destiny) playing as she opens his shirt and starts kissing his
chest. He takes her blouse off and we find them on the couch,
successfully doing what Belle and Shawn have been scheduling to
do for months now. WOE IS Belle as she tells Shawn she's going to
Paris for a two month design class. Irritated with his not
sharing what's wrong, she accepted the invitation. Rex excuses
himself and Cassie for another appointment. Cassie didn't want to
leave, but they head to Marlena's office after being summoned
there. Belle and Shawn talk and he tells her he's not interested
in Cassie. She knows his mood started the night Colin was
murdered and angry that he's not being honest with her and just
wants him to tell her not to go. WOE IS Shawn as he tells her how
much he'll miss her and remembers how much nerve he had to work
up at the Last Blast before kissing her the first time. They kiss
and get heated up as he tells her that he loves her. She asks him
to make love to her, but he pulls away and flashes back to
shooting Colin again (ok, we GET the idea). He tells Belle to go
to Paris if she loves him and she will understand in time. She
agrees and will give him his space. Neither agree it's what they
want, but it's the way it has to be. He remembers talking with
Cassie and her warning him not to tell Belle. The twins arrive at
Marlena's office. She had just told John she summoned them to
tell them she couldn't be their therapist any more in lieu of
what they've found out. Marlena asks John to leave and tells the
twins. WOE IS Cassie as she starts crying and tells Marlena to
stop pretending, they're nothing more then lab rats to her that
she discards when done. She tells Marlena she hates her and never
wants to see her ever again. Rex urges Cassie to stay and hear
Marlena out, but she rushes out. Marlena tells Rex to let Cassie
go, but WOE IS Rex as he rants at her for all she's putting
Cassie through. Cassie bumps into John in the lobby and flashes
her wrist at him after telling him she hates him and is ALL
DiMera now! She rants how everyone but Tony and Lexie have turned
on her and Rex. He tries to warn her how dangerous the DiMera's
are and he's only protecting his family. She reminds him that
Tony is his brother and maybe his family needs protection from
him too. His wife and daughter are not saints and only out for
themselves, at least he (John's) honest about not liking them.
She tells him she hates Marlena and will never forgive her for
this. Marlena tries to explain to Rex. He confides how Cassie's
even keeping secrets from him now. She wants to talk with Cassie
about that, but he tells her it's better if she just stays away
and he leaves. John returns to Marlena to check on her. Crying,
she feels she betrayed Cassie and Rex's trust and worries if she
is their mother and now has lost their trust. He's anxious to
head to DiMera Island to get the answers he needs. He suggests
she have Sami and Will stay with her while he's gone (oh, that'll
make her life easier, haha) so she won't be alone. He knows this
is a hard time for her. She tells him everything will be fine as
she's decided to go with him. They will find out the answers
about the twins births together. Rex finds Cassie at the dorm and
tells her they're together and everything will be okay. Cassie
disagrees, saying she needs Shawn and wants him to love only her.
She cracks the door and is happy to hear Belle and Shawn arguing.
She hears Shawn telling Belle "goodbye" and confuses it
to mean he and Belle are breaking up. Inside Belle cries that
Shawn's like a stranger to her ..either way, she was definitely
wrong about them, wasn't she?

Episode #9491
Taped - 1/20/03
Director - Roger W. Inman
Matt & Missy turn in emotional performances as Jennifer tells
Jack of her fears of being pregnant, Brandon & Sami again
argue, and Tony has visitors and Hope takes steps to not be a
victim again and empower herself (hurray!!).
The Hospital
Sami is at the nurses station, (still wearing that same dress) as
Brandon comes up, coldly asking for some file. She tries to talk
to him, he's busy. He leaves, Roman comes up, asking what room
Tony is in. She tells him Tony's busy with Roman asking if Tony's
"cloning" himself (LOL). Sami gleefully tells him of
Kate's arrival to see Tony, making her usual snide remarks of
their relationship. Roman tells her to back off, it's his
business, not hers. She apologizes, not wanting him to get hurt.
They go round and round a bit, and Sami admits, in tears, she had
a fight with Brandon and is taking it out on her dad. He takes
her into his arms to comfort her and she gains confidence in
getting Brandon back. She asks about investigation into Colin's
murder, just as Brandon comes up, angry to hear her asking. Roman
wonders if Sami has something she has not told him, but goes to
visit Tony after Brandon asks to speak with Sami alone about a
patient (on the terrace?). On the terrace they once more launch
into the same argument about Nicole (yawn). Sami worries Brandon
is breaking up with her, he says he could never choose between
his sister and Sami, she should not have asked... she agrees,
saying no one could make her choose between Eric and them either.
They argue back and forth about her talking to Roman and Nicole.
He's determined that no one will arrest his sister. She admires
his devotion to his family and friends. He apologizes for losing
his temper and comments sometimes that love isn't enough. They
seemingly call a truce.Kate arrives in Tony's room, bearing a
lovely vase of red flowers. Tony is sitting up in bed, happy to
see her. (amazing for a guy that just had back surgery - but then
again, Tony drinks lots of tea made with that Salem water, you
know - the miracle cure for everything) They banter a bit (him
commenting she'd probably have preferred sending the flowers to
his funeral), and Kate tells him, charmingly, to lay off asking
questions about her business with Stefano or Raymond Grant. Tony
tells her he may be the father of the twins, and explains about
the blood match w/Cassie. Kate asks if Marlena is the mother.
They dance around that question for a bit, as Roman comes in. He
refutes that possibility, eventually asking Kate to leave, as he
wants to talk to Tony. He then talks to Tony about the hit and
run, the car was reported stolen (convenient, huh?). Tony
mentions having saved Brady's life, and that he was paralyzed a
while back, due to Roman. They banter back and forth a bit, Roman
leaves. Next, a man arrives in a business suit. A doctor that
Tony had flown in and Dr. Rolf had briefed on his case (uh oh),
who says he notified the staff he is taking over the case. (Doesn't
anyone check with the patient?) He evidently does some testing,
we see him next remarking that Tony is doing very well, has
feeling in his legs. Tony, with his smarmy smile, says things
could not be working out better. (Hmmm, Tony has a plan, to hide
his recovery, perhaps??) Kate is in Marlena's office, writing a
note, that says she is disturbed by something Tony said, and
wants to talk to her. Roman walks in, asking Kate what she is
doing. (And NOW we know how Larry was able to get Marlena's
prescription pad, hard to believe that door is not locked). Kate
seals the note, leaving it on the desk. Roman asks her to go for
coffee. She tells him she doesn't have time, but he tells her to
make time as he's exactly what she needs right now. He tries to
warn her about Tony, her secrets, and that he cannot protect her
unless he knows what it is all about. She can't fight Tony alone
and knows where to find him.
Jennifer's Home
Jack & Jennifer are sitting on the sofa, arguing about the
story around the investigation of Colin's murder. Jen, flashing
back to her conversation with Bo in his kitchen about the bloody
rag, is telling Jack to leave it to the cops. Jack is puzzled,
knowing something else has to be going on. Bo calls, telling Jen
he took the item to a lab that John recommended, and will let her
know results. He apologizes for once more putting her on the
spot, as he did before when everyone thought Lexie & Hope
were dead. Jen hangs up, evading Jack's questions about what Bo
had to say, talking of what Hope is going through - all the
stress building up for her. She flashes back to Hope telling her
she killed Colin. Jen is getting very emotional and feeling
quesy, as Jack pressures her to tell him what is wrong. She talks
of how much she loves him, and finally blurts out that she may be
pregnant - with Colin's baby. She laments over how it was just
one time, and she had to keep Colin in that room, that he was
going to hunt down and kill Jack, and mentions she has not taken
a pregnancy test. Jack asks why, and she says, cuz she doesn't
want it to be true. (Tremendous scenes between these two
wonderful actors). She wonders, what if I am, what about Abby?
What about you? How do you feel, Jack? He struggles with his
emotions, then just says, "I'm sorry Jennifer, I have to go".
Jack takes his coat and goes out the door (hopefully to the drug
store for a pregnancy test kit). Jennifer cries. Alone.
Brady Home
Hope goes down into the basement and sees Larry again. Bo returns
home with Hope's prescription and calls out her name with no
response. He finds her in the basement boxing and kick boxing the
punching bag hanging down there. She tells him about signing up
for a refresher self defense class to polish up her skills she
had on the force. Bo holds the bag, telling her it's not the way
to get rid of Larry. He shows her the pills he picked up that
Marlena prescribed, saying this is the way. He holds her close
assuring her all will be okay. She admits seeing Larry again, but
knows he's dead. The bag and gloves are part of her recovery. Her
recovery has more to do than taking pills and seeing Marlena. She
needs to feel less vulnerable and empower herself, she doesn't
want to be a victim again. (Yay! The real Hope surfaces again!!)
She teases him (while mock punching him) about the endorphins
that will kick in with this too..which he claims to love as he
hugs her. She's determined to do whatever she can to protect
herself and come out stronger then she was before. She grabs the
bottle and is ready to start her medication now. Later, in the
kitchen, she takes her first pill. The phone rings and she picks
it up in the kitchen at the same time as Bo does in the living
room. It's the lab. She overhears the technician telling Bo that
the blood on the dishtowel he brought in was chicken blood. He
thanks the technician and hangs up, relieved. Hope walks in and
asks about the towel and if he believes it was her who killed
Colin. They wonder who planted the bloody towel in their garbage.
Hope remembers having chicken, but Bo said store bought chickens
don't bleed all over the place (thank goodness). She remembers
how Shawn took all the chicken innards over to the neighbor's dog
and maybe he used the towel and threw it away. Bo will ask him.
Hope feels like the pills are starting to kick in and resolves
not to keep any more spooky thoughts in her head and will make an
appointment with Marlena. She's going to get well for him and the
boys and no one, especially Larry Welch, will stop her.
Larry
Larry returns to his motel room with his own pills. He's upset Bo
found the bloody towel instead of Hope. Holding and waving his
gun around, he has another plan in mind. Bo can't blame the towel
on his..after all, he's dead and a poor innocent ghost. Taking
the pills out of the bag, he plans his next move. He says he has
one more move before going to Step 2 and holding the pills, says
"Hope honey, you're going down. Once you take these pills,
you're never going to need a refill. What doesn't cure you, will
kill you" As the credits roll.
Barb and Linda (dual spoiler today)
FRIDAY FEBRUARY 7, 2003
Episode # 9492
Tape Date: 1-21-03
Director: Phil Sogard
This show revolves mainly around John and Marlena's
plans to leave for the island. Belle and Sami offer each other
advice about their respective love lives (haha). Brandon attempts
to counsel Shawn. Roman locks Kate in a room... Jack makes a
decision about Jennifer's situation. Not a terribly exciting
show, but interesting.
At Jennifer's House
She paces the floor in her dark living room (only the light of
the fire) and lies down on the sofa to cry, fearing she has lost
Jack for good. There is a knock at the door and she opens it to
find Jack, who informs her that he went over to Jo and Vern's and
packed up all his things. She thinks he is leaving town and she
has lost him for good and begins to cry. He informs her that he
is moving in with her and Abby, that is, if she will have him. He
tells her that THEY are all that matters to him and that he has
never loved her more and that they are forever. She is so ashamed
of what she did, but he vows to always love her. He tells her to
trust him for he knows what they need to do. After he carries his
things inside, Jennifer asks him what he meant and he pulls out a
home pregnancy test. She is reluctant but he assures her that it
will be fine, not matter what the results. He tells her that he
loves her and that it is her face that he wants to wake up to
every morning, if she will have him. He asks if the bed is still
made up in the guest room and she excitedly tells him that it is
his if he wants it. He offers to help her upstairs and says that
the first thing in the morning they will take the test and face
it together.
In The Park
Shawn is shooting basketball as he has flashbacks of dumping
Belle. He has a cramp in his leg and falls just as Brandon walks
up, trying to help him. Shawn is hateful to him and just wants
him to leave him alone. Brandon asks what is his problem, but
Shawn doesn't want to talk to him. Instead, they play a little
one on one. Brandon asks if he and Belle are having problems and
Shawn opens up just a bit. Brandon assures him that it will go no
further, as Shawn tells him that he may have committed a crime.
He clams up but Brandon says it isn't like you committed murder
or anything. Well, that slams the lid on any further discussion
and tells Brandon to stop pushing him, he hardly even knows him.
Brandon goes to leave, but Shawn stops him, wanting to shoot some
hoops, telling him he will "whoop his ass". As they
play, Shawn's anger emerges and he gets rather physical. As
Brandon complains, Shawn gets upset and tells him to just leave.
(I don't really understand the point of these scenes, maybe it
has some significance later on).
At The Hospital
Marlena is in her office and finds the note Kate left her just as
Roman in. Mr. Nosey Parker wants to know what is in it so Marlena
opens it and reads it, telling him that Kate just wants to meet
with her. Roman tells her that Kate visited Tony and he just
blurts out, asking if she (Marlena) is the mother of the twins.
Marlena is a bit upset that Tony even insinuated that possibility
to Roman and Kate. In her own polite way, she tells Roman to butt
out, assuring him that she and John can handle their own problems.
Roman says he is worried about her, as well as Kate and Sami. He
says that he can see Tony reeling them in. He is sure that
something is haunting Kate and wants her to stay away from Tony.
Marlena hopes that Kate will heeds Roman's advice. Roman talks
about how difficult Kate can be as Marlene says he sounds like a
man in love. Roman denies it and makes Marlena an offer, he will
stay out her personal life if she will stay out of his. They
agree, but both wish each other happiness.
At Basic Black
We have basically the same conversation going on between Kate and
John. He is preparing to leave, giving Kate last minute
instructions. Kate brings up Tony and the Gemini Twins, telling
John that she had just visited with Tony. John gives her the
third degree, telling her to be careful with Tony. She tells John
that Tony is sure he is their father and asks if Marlena could
possibly be their mother. John (not as politely as his wife)
tells Kate that it is none of her business. Kate says that
Marlena is her friend and she cares and is worried about her.
Kate says she just wants to help, but John tells her to just do
her job and butt out. After John leaves, Roman shows up with a
bouquet of flowers and a bottle of champagne. She asks what he is
up to as he locks the door behind him. She becomes quite
aggravated with him as he asks why she is running so scared. She
tries to leave but he tells her that neither of them are going
nowhere until he gets some answers. He offers her champagne, but
instead she takes the flowers and starts beating him with them. (I
don't know what it is, but I LIKE these two together).
Over At The Penthouse
It seems that Marlena had called both Sami and Belle and asked
them to wait there for her. As they wait, they form their own
whine and moan club about their respective love lives (or the
lack thereof). First, Belle tells Sami about her plans to go to
Paris and Sami calls her stupid. She is offended as Sami tries to
give her advice. Sami says that Shawn is a sucker for any girl
with a sob story, first Jan and now "alien girl". She
advises Belle not to run away, but to stand up and fight for her
man. Belle says that Sami's tricks are pathetic and selfish. Sami
agrees with her, saying that everytime she falls for a guy, she
ends up empty-handed. She tells her that she is now having
troubles with Brandon. She cries as she laments losing him and
how she blew it by lying over and over. Belle advises her to just
be honest with him. Sami says honesty could cost her everything
as she has a fantasy sequence about drinking truth serum and
telling Brandon about switching the paternity tests. In her
fantasy, she tells him that she will take the serum all the time
and will NEVER lie to him again. Of course, he blows up and runs
to Lexie. Belle returns (after a phone call from Marlena) telling
her that she is on her way. Sami doesn't want to talk about
herself anymore and changes the subject to Belle's leaving. Now
it's Belle's turn for a fantasy as she imagines the day she
leaves for Paris where Shawn stops her from leaving at the
airport. Sami says that she can tell that Belle doesn't really
want to go. Marlena comes in, apologizing for being so late and
explains that she and John are going to be leaving town for a
while. They are going on business and just didn't want them to
worry. (Couldn't she have told Sami that on the phone?) Sami
leaves, telling Belle to think about what she said. After she
leaves, Belle tells her mom that Sami is having problems with
Brandon, BIG SURPRISE. Marlena starts talking about how she will
be gone when Belle leaves and gives her instructions. She tells
her that Kate has offered to help her and gives her the name of
someone at the Basic Black office in Paris that will help her (they
have an office in Paris?) Marlena asks her is she REALLY wants to
go and Belle admits she will miss Shawn. John comes home and also
gives Belle some instructions about leaving. Belle goes upstairs
to make a call, Marlena suspects to Shawn, as she thinks time
away from him and Salem will help Belle. Outside, Sami calls
Brandon to apologize, but he tells her he doesn't have time to
talk and hangs up on her. Upstairs, Belle calls Shawn and gets
the same result. But while he is on the phone with her, he gets
another call from his dad, asking him to come to the station
first thing in the morning. Shawn is sure Bo has figured out the
truth. Back downstairs, John and Marlena talk about Kate's
suspicions about Marlena being the twins' mother and Marlena is
glad they are going to the island ASAP. She thanks John for
helping her. He tells her no thanks necessary, she helped him
with his past, now it is time to help her. Marlena is sure
whatever they find out it will change their future as they hug
and the show ends.
