SPOILER FOR FRIDAY, MARCH 29, 2002

Episode: 9273
Directed by: Roger Inman
Tape Date: 3/2/02

Everything happens in Vegas today, after the required stock footage of the strip and the theme music of that woman crooning "Ooohhh...Las Vegas". All of you that love-to-hate Sami can sit back and enjoy...as her world starts to crumble around her.

Brandon, Jennifer, Colin & Elizabeth…
Are all in the restaurant as Jen keeps looking over her shoulder. Brandon asks if she is looking for Jack or Colin. She sees Colin following Liz across the room to the bar. They sit down and he begins apologizing to her. She is angry as he tries to reason with her and convince her that he wants to marry her because he loves her. They kiss and she asks if she is the only one in his heart. He professes his love for but Liz seems a bit skeptical. He hugs her and talks about how important this night is for them (hmmmm…) As he hugs her, he spots Jen and Brandon across the room. She agrees to marry him. Meanwhile, at their table, Jen has yet to give Brandon an answer about staying the night with him in Vegas. Jen talks about how angry it makes her that Sami led Brandon on and used him all along. She talks about how kind and compassionate he is and that Sami didn't deserve him. She apologizes for going on and on, but finally admits that she is glad it didn't work out between them, although she thinks Brandon still has feelings for Sami. He says that Sami has made her decision and they all need to move on now. Brandon gets uncomfortable with all this talk and wants to drop it. She talks about how people use others and he asks if she has been down that road…with Colin. Jen denies it and then proceeds to put herself down. They talk about broken relationships as Brandon suggests they concentrate on each other. Jen realizes they are running late and rushes off to the ladies room. While she is gone, Brandon says he can't believe that Samantha is really getting married. As Colin and Liz talk, Jen is listening from around the corner. Liz suggests that they go and find a chapel and get married immediately. They kiss and Liz rushes off to their room to freshen up first. As soon as she is out of sight, Colin whips out his trusty cell phone (something tells me there is more to Colin than meets the eye). Jen rushes back to Brandon and tells him that she has decided that she wants to spend the night in Vegas with him.

Marlena and Roman…
have a strange conversation (seems so out of place to me) as they talk about Sami's attention getting stunt earlier. Marlena wishes that Sami could move past all that and concentrate on marrying Austin. Roman believes that Marlena thinks that Sami isn't ready for marriage. Marlena admits that she is being negative, but hopes/believes that Austin can have an influence on Sami and change her. They reflect on Sami's past mistakes and hope that things may finally work out for her. Marlena talks about how Sami has problems and still needs their help and advice. Roman apologizes for not being there more for Sami and blames that absence on his feelings for Marlena. He asks her if she has forgiven John and she tells him about their renewing their vows, which doesn't exactly thrill Roman. Roman asks himself WHY he still loves her and will never get over her?

The Beginning of the End for Sami…
We get a replay of Nicole's passionate plea for Austin to stop the wedding. But Austin refuses to call off the wedding. He talks about how Sami has changed (oh, come on Austin…remove the blindfold). She continues to try to change his mind, but he is determined to go through with it. She gets angry and tells him to go ahead and ruin his life. Austin swears that he and Sami love and respect each other. He talks about forgetting the past and moving toward the future. He says he must concentrate on being a good, trusting and loving father and husband. She tells him that he deserves better than Sami, but he says they will have a good life. As he goes to leave, she wishes him happiness and he asks her to please come to the wedding. After he leaves, she breaks down, collapses to the floor, crying. Later, after she finally composes herself, she turns bitter over the whole thing. As she looks at herself in the mirror, she tells herself to get over it and says she can have everything she ever wanted. All she has to do is say yes to Victor. She has flashbacks of his proposal…then flashbacks of time spent with Austin. She says she knows what she has to do and leaves.

Victor and Kate are still arguing as he refuses to help her stop the wedding. She goes to leave, saying she can handle it herself and he threatens her NOT to try anything. She is confused by his words, until she realizes that he won't help her because of his jealousy over Nicole and Austin. Kate hits a nerve with him and they argue some more. Victor tells her that SHE will be the one who ends up with what she deserves…NOTHING.

Later, Austin is dressed in his tux and headed down the hall to the chapel. Kate goes to leave Victor's room just as Austin is walking by (they don't see him) and he overhears their argument. He hears Kate saying that she never thought she'd see the day when the mighty Victor Kirakis would give into blackmail by a "gutter snipe" like Sami Brady. Victor says he gave into Sami's demands (to send Austin to Hawaii) to protect Philip. Kate says that Sami will ruin Austin's life and that he is just too trusting to see that Sami is just as mean and heartless than ever. Hearing this, Austin rushes off. Kate shuts the door as Victor reminds her of the blackmail material Sami has on her. They try to figure out what to do as Victor calls Sami a "lying, twisted, manipulative bitch" (according to him, he couldn't come up with any new adjectives…LOL). He just hopes Austin realizes it before it's too late.

There is a replay of Lucas showing up at Sami's door. She tries to slam the door in his face, but he barges on in. He tells her that he truly wishes her happiness as he talks about how they were once friends and wants to wipe the slate clean. Sami does NOT want to hear any of this and explodes all over him. A nasty argument ensues as she gloats about how she will keep Will from him forever. She says that she has won and that he will have no place in Will's life. She goes to leave as Lucas collapses, holding his chest. As she goes to leave, she rips her dress. Lucas swears that he is there to make peace and tells her of how Austin invited him to the wedding and how Austin promised to never come between him and Will. Sami gloats about what she has on Lucas as he preaches to her about being a good parent. He says that he is the only real parent Will has. Well, that does it…she shoves him down and jumps on top of him, beating the crap out of him screaming 'how could you do this to me?' As Austin approaches, he hears Sami yelling from the room. She is ranting, telling Lucas that she will tell Austin that Lucas attacked her. She gloats about how Austin believed her when she told him Lucas hit Will. She says it all came down to Lucas' word against hers and Austin believed HER. She says he believed her then and he will believe her now. We hear Austin's voice say "No…he wont!" as Sami and Lucas turn to see Austin standing in the doorway…and the credits roll.

SPOILER FOR THURSDAY, MARCH 28, 2002

Episode: 9272
Directed by: Phil Sogard
Tape Date: 3/7/02

All Las Vegas today as the wedding party prepares.

Welcome back to one of the longest days of our (their) lives. Marlena took a break to renew her vows and enjoy a quicky with her hubby on Air John, but is now supervising her two daughters getting dolled up for the wedding. Sami has her hair back in a twist and Belle’s in a ponytail and they’re doing their nails. Poor Caroline’s still hemming up the wedding gown. (guess Grandpa Shawn and John are babysitting Will?) Roman pounds on the door and is all dressed in his tux. He kids with Caroline about the dress not being done yet. Marlena follows him to the other side of the room as he whispers to doc there may be trouble. He tells her about Kate’s being there and predicts trouble. He really hopes all goes well for Sami. Caroline finally finishes the dress. Sami blabbers away (slap) about her cousin Shawn getting Jan pregnant as Caroline tries to stop her. Sami reamembers Belle is there and apologizes as Belle leaves to get some fresh air. Sami rushes after her to apologize again and faints in Roman’s arms. We come back to her still out on the couch, but she comes to and says to be fine. Marlena’s worried and wants her to eat something, but Sami refuses..too excited to eat. A big box is delivered for the bride and Belle finds a note to open it before the wedding (is it ticking?). She hopes it’s not another gift from Lucas and they all help her open it. Sami pulls out a boom box and pushes the play button and the song “Simply Irresistible” starts playing. They all laugh and Marlena reads Eric’s letter to Sami saying he’s sorry he couldn’t be there for his twin’s wedding and how mom has his real present. Marlena rushes to the closest and brings out a photo album (we don’t see it) for Sami. Sami’s feeling nostalgic and has an idea (uh oh).

Philip and Victor talk in their suite. Philip can’t find Austin to start getting ready for the wedding. Philip has two responsibilities, getting Austin and the rings to the wedding. He doesn’t know where either is. Victor tells Philip to go get his brother and tell him his wedding takes precedent over any Titan business. Philip is surprised, but happy to do it. Victor tells himself he needs to get Austin out of Nicole’s life.

Kate wheels Lucas near the lounge as he reminds her he CAN walk. (the guy just came out of a coma a week ago and they’re hauling him to Las Vegas?..Guess the nurse is history) Kate spots Nicole, Austin and Mr. Liszt and hopes Austin will be tempted by Nicole. She’d kill Sami before letting her marry Austin.

Down in the lounge, Mr. Permalash wants Nicole and Austin to join him in his suite. Austin’s anxious to get to his wedding, but Carl reminds them that there’s a wedding every 20 minutes in Las Vegas. He tells them 10 minutes in his suite and leaves. Nicole goes to freshen up as Kate joins her. She figures Austin knows deep down he doesn’t want to marry Sami and Nicole should go after him. Kate asks if Nicole really wants to spend her life in boardrooms and go home to Victor each night? She’ll realize one day her decision was wrong. Nicole believes Kate is sincere, but says Austin is her friend and she won’t manipulate him. Kate tells her if she loves Austin, to think of a future with him. If she lets Austin marry Sami, they’ll be off to Hawaii and out of her life. She’s the only one who can stop this wedding.

Austin is worried about what to do. Lucas rolls up and clues Austin in about Kate’s purpose to be there. Philip finds them and apologizes for not coming to see Lucas in Salem (yeah, what’s up with that?). Lucas waves it off and is just happy to see him now. Philip grabs some drinks off a tray for his brothers and takes a glass of water for himself to toast the big day. Austin tells them he has some quick business to attend to, but has left the rings in the hotel vault with instructions to release them to Philip. He’ll see him at the alter. Kate joins them and Philip calls her on her not wanting Austin to marry Sami. He’s not crazy about it either, but is there to support his brother and whatever he wants to do. Lucas asks how her plan is going and she tells him too soon to tell. Austin sees Kate walking down the hall and wonders what she’s up to.

Down in the casino Caroline and Belle regret what they’re going to do. Sami is excited as Roman and Marlena try to talk her out of it. Marlena worries about Sami’s need for public attention. Roman reluctantly cues Caroline and she announces to the crowd a very special person is coming in and plays a convenient tape in the boom box to here comes the bride. Roman walks Sami in and Marlena follows, embarrassed, wearing her sunglasses as Sami waves to the crowd (oh paleez). People comment about they thought they saw Sami on Jerry Springer or Baywatch as Sami eats it up with a spoon while her family is hating it. Everyone’s rushing to get her picture and one knocks Belle over to get to her (last time I tried to use a camera at a casino a big guard told me no cameras allowed!..and it was just in the restaurant) Caroline didn’t know how to turn off the boom box, so Marlena does it for her. Sami tells them this is Vegas and she is glorious in her victory of getting Austin after all these years. The family leaves to give her time to collect herself before the wedding.

Victor has someone trying to find Carl Liszt’s suite. Kate and Lucas show up at his door. Victor welcomes Lucas (still in the wheelchair) and Lucas gets up. He stands up to thank Victor for all his help in giving him a second chance at life and comments Victor knows what that’s like himself. He reminds Kate that Sami’s got a 2nd chance at life too and he’s going to see that she gets it and leaves. Kate informs him that Nicole and Austin are together and Victor tells her he sent them on business. She makes up that she saw Nicole kissing Austin outside his room. He tells her she’s on her own to stop the wedding and last time she tried to do something like this, Lucas got hurt. She gets angrier and tells him Nicole won’t come to him and he grabs her and says he’s not going to let her do this.

Marlena, Belle and Caroline go to the chapel and put on some organ music in the chapel. Philip is there. Meanwhile, Sami calls and leaves a message for Eric. She tells him she’s going to get Nicole for both of them today. Lucas comes to her room with something he should have done a long time ago.

Austin asks Nicole what she talked about with his mother and she tells him how Kate ranted about the marriage and she told her to mind her own business. They go in Carl’s room (as Carl saw Kate lurking in the hotel, he wanted to talk to them privately) and informs them he’s not selling his business, but wants Nicole and Austin to leave Titan and come to NYC to run his company for him. Austin has to talk to his fiancée about this and Nicole tells him she can’t leave Titan. Liszt leaves to give them time to think as Nicole remembers Kate’s warning about it being her last chance. She takes Austin’s jacket off and puts his hand on her top as they start to kiss (oops…just a dream). She warns Austin that Sami will break his heart. She confesses she’d rather have her heart broken before seeing it happen to him and urges him to leave town, now! Now crying, she tells him he deserves better and shouldn’t marry Sami. She hopes he’s not angry with her and he calmly tells her she’s right as the credits roll….

SPOILER FOR WEDNESDAY, MARCH 27, 2002

Episode #9271
Taped 3/7/02
Directed by Randy Robbins

Shawn gets it from all sides, Roman bumps into an old acquaintance in Vegas, who is trying to increase her odds, and John surprises Marlena

AT THE PENTHOUSE….Chloe is outside the door, thinking how happy she is Belle destroyed the video tape, and wondering what kind of a slut tapes her dates. In answer to the bell, Brady opens the door w/a video in his hands. He says something about recording Friends for Belle, and was about to put in this blank video. (??) Chloe says she is there to retrieve a scarf, which Brady doesn't buy, but she finds it neatly folded (how convenient of Belle, who remembered that, but NOT to destroy the tape!). They bicker back & forth a bit, and the phone rings.

AT DOT COM….Shawn goes inside to retrieve his book from the clerk. It is a book on pregnancy. Jan calls him, telling him she had to get away from the house, and is coming over to meet him at DotCom. Outside, Jason is telling his two friends how Shawn got Jan pregnant, & enlists their help for a payback. They spot Mimi listening, and chase her off. Shawn comes out, is accosted by Jason & company, and dragged off to the alley, where all 3 proceed to attack him. Hold on, Brady to the rescue (Mimi called him) and between the two of them, they manage to chase the 3 fellows off. As Brady helps Shawn up, he gives him a jab to the stomach, telling him that is for Belle. Chloe, who has come along, stops any further mayhem, but Brady tells Shawn off and to stay away from Belle, Mimi comes up, glad to see Brady came, but not happy he has also hit Shawn, who realizes everyone has it in for him, and want to give him what he had coming. Brady tells Shawn to stay away from Belle, it is over for them, and Shawn says he knows that.
Jan arrives, running into Jason, who lights into her about all the years they dated, and she would not let him touch her, but now she is pregnant by Shawn. He brags about beating up Shawn, and Jan runs to find him. She arrives to see Mimi talking to Shawn, and sees his bruises. Mimi disgustedly tells them both off and leaves. Shawn goes to find the book, which is all wet and dirty, and tells Jan he'll get another.
Brady & Chloe talk, & Brady is convinced that being in Vegas will be good for Belle as she will get over Shawn. Chloe tells him that it may be that way for guys, but girls never forget their first loves, & he knows she is talking of Philip. Chloe tells him something is not right about all this with Shawn & Jan, she doesn't know quite what it is, but it just does not jibe

IN LAS VEGAS time is really standing still, it seems. Philip & Belle wander into the wedding chapel, all decorated for Sami's upcoming nuptials. They talk a bit about Shawn, and Philip imagines getting married to Chloe, making promises, and saying vows. Belle brings him back to reality, and they talk about both Chloe & Shawn, with Philip mentioning how girls are always planning their weddings. Now Belle imagines getting married to Shawn (hey, she's wearing the same dress & headpiece Chloe did, lol), but when the minister asks if anyone knows any reason why this marriage should not take place, in comes Jan, holding her little bundle of joy, and claiming Shawn as her son's father. Sadly, Belle ends her dream. She & Philip both decide to leave, take advantage of Vegas and have some fun. They go sightseeing among the various hotels, (we don't see this, only them talking about it, but am glad to find there ARE other hotels in Vegas, not just this one) and they comfort each other, saying they will always be good friends.

Well, well, well, look who's here. Roman accidentally runs into a woman in the lobby….and lo & behold, here is Kate. Small world! He is not pleased, claiming she is there to upset his daughter, Sami, at her wedding, but Kate reminds him it is her son getting married, too. (She also drops the news that Lucas has come along, too!). They bicker a bit about Austin & Sami, and Kate suggest they find somewhere to sit down. LOL, they go into the casino & pick a blackjack table! (Anyone ever see such a SMALL casino in Vegas??) The dealer tells them to place their bets, and Kate calmly says she is not playing, they just want to sit. Ha. Dealer says seats are for players, bet or leave. Kate says they have no chips, and a passing man says "here, take these, I just won really big" (boy, nice guy!). They finally decide to use the chips to play, with Roman claiming if he wins, Kate returns home pronto. Kate loses, Roman smiles, picks up his chips and leaves. Kate catches up with him elsewhere in the casino, & Roman warns her about not making trouble for Sami's wedding, and she should go home. He also warns her he is a cop, and still has loads of questions about past events. Kate asks if they cannot leave the past where it belongs, but Roman is not agreeable to that.

John comes looking for Marlena, who has been worried about him. He says he has a surprise for her, kissing her hand, and saying she always loves his surprises. She walks into a small chapel, very gothic looking, wondering where John is (hey, he was just with her!). Up near the front, a figure in a black cape with a hood covering his face (actually scary looking to me)comes out. Marlena smiles, as John throws off the hood, gets down on his knee, and asks Marlena to marry him again. She agrees, and we next see her in medieval gown (picture Arthur & Guinevere), with small crown, as they both stand before a monk. They each recite vows, and kiss. This is really very romantic. As they exit the chapel (see, Elizabeth, there is MORE than one wedding chapel in Vegas!) they run into Belle & Phillip. They tell Belle about renewing their vows, and Belle thinks it is wonderful. They all embrace, and talk about being strong in adversity thru their love.
Now John asks Marlena (both back in their own clothes) what comes next after a wedding. She smiles and says the honeymoon, but Sami is going to need them, however John says they are going to have some time for just them. They now are in a passageway with black curtains covering the doorways (is this Jet Black, John's plane?) and he opens one set of curtains to reveal a huge bed, satin sheets, candles, a table w/champagne icing in a bucket. Marlena says Oh, my, you have recreated our wedding nite. Next they are between the sheets, whispering words of endearment to each other and very happy. They talk of Sami finding her man, and hope that both Brady & Belle will find their special someones, but John murmurs that "nobody will ever find anybody who loves you half as much as I do". And the credits roll.

SPOILER FOR TUESDAY, MARCH 26, 2002**

Episode #: 9270
Directetd by: Phil Sogard
Tape Date: 3/12/02

SUMMARY:
John and Marlena agree the wedding should make their family stronger, Shawn struggles to maintain Jan's secret while she's trying to worm her way into the Brady family, but the best part of tomorrow's show is the neon light in Abe's head going off.

dotCOM
Mimi zeroes in on Shawn when he sits down at dot Com. She gives him hell for hurting Belle and getting Jan pregnant. His reply, “I didn’t”. He covers saying he just wished it didn’t happen. Mimi continues berating him and Jan and he says it wasn’t Jan’s fault. He tells her the baby deserves a chance at life. They talk about Glen and he insists Glen won’t get JT. Mimi figures Jan is using his feelings for JT to keep him. If they lose JT, this way there will be another baby around the house. He tells her Jan’s baby deserves a chance at life and he’ll see it does. He leaves to run errands and bumps into Jason at the door. Mimi tells Jason she figured he’d deck Shawn and when he doesn’t know why, tells him how Shawn got Jan pregnant on the island. He wondered why Jan had been so standoffish since their trip (good grief, that was last summer) and leaves to go kill Shawn.

Jason follows Shawn to the park and proceeds to start a fight with him. Shawn gets into another situation of trying to rationalize what’s happening without telling the truth. Jason leaves, threatening to make Shawn and Jan pay.

Shawn returns for a bag he forgot at dotCom and Mimi (who was trying to call him on her cell to warn him about Jason) tells him she left it with the clerk inside. He assures he everything’s fine with him and Jason (wake up Shawn!). Meanwhile, Jason tells 2 other guys about what happened and they agree to help him bring Shawn down as Mimi panics (when will you ever learn Mimi?).

BRADY HOME
Jan and JT sit on the couch as she plays ball with him. She tells him to NOT throw it on the floor, so of course he does.

Bo and Hope sit on the front porch talking about their sons and how JT has Shawn trained, yet he doesn’t seem to care that much about Jan’s baby. They figure Jan’s baby is not real to Shawn, where JT is. Hope admits wanting her real son as well, but feels for Lexie and Abe and what they would go through losing him. They hear JT start to cry and rush in. He’s just tired and Jan pleads to let her feed him and they agree. They figure she’s trying to win them over and agree they’ll stand by their son. They discuss the ironic circumstances about the different babies and Bo tells Hope to be easy on herself. They hear Jan telling JT not to do something and rush off to the kitchen. Jan, carrying JT, walks through the door first. She and JT are both covered with cereal and bananas, LOL, as JT threw them all over the place. Bo takes JT up to clean him up and Hope calmly tells Jan she should have given her some tips about feeding JT. She has had her own share of wearing cereal and tells Jan she’ll feel better after getting cleaned up. Jan whines about not having another top that fits and heads upstairs. Later Bo and Hope rendevous in the living room. Mickey just called and said Cameron called to set up another meeting. Glen wants JT overnight, tonight. Bo calmly explains how the law favors biological parents and the realistic scenario they face. She looks at the picture of Isaac and wants to start on the paperwork to get him. She hates what this will do to Abe and Lexie. As they hug, Jan walks downstairs and tells them her being there is making things worse and they’d like her to leave she thinks (well duh). They tell her they want her to stay until she and her mom can work things out. Jan figures that won’t happen and Hope gives her some of her own maternity clothes to wear. Bo and Hope ask a smiling, dreamy eyed Jan about her relationship with their son. Right now they see him as just feeling responsible and protective. Jan figures it’ll get stronger after the baby’s born. Bo and Hope mention adoption for her baby, but Jan figures Shawn will grow to love the baby after it’s born. She excuses herself to run some errands and leaves.

LAS VEGAS
Marlena returns to their suite and tells John that Sami’s getting her hair done right now. She holds up an envelope with airline tickets for Hawaii saying they’re for Sami and Austin’s dream honeymoon. John pauses and asks Marlena when he ever is going to feel right about them and believe he deserves her. She doesn’t hold any resentment towards him and Hope, they were victims, but admits she’ll never be able to forget what happened. John’s flustered by this, but Marlena rationalizes the pain will lessen as time goes on. She tells him they have too much to be grateful for and she’s worked hard to put it behind them, but he isn’t. He feels his infidelity has torn him and Belle apart, especially now that she herself feels betrayed. Marlena tells him for Belle’s sake, there’s only one thing they can do. They have to show her their love is strong and John tells her he’s never needed her more. She has an idea what they can do. This wedding can pull them together and maybe even strengthen it. Now encouraged, he gets an idea and asks how long before the ceremony and leaves to take care of something.

DiMERA MANSION
Lexie sits on the couch with Isaac and promises him that no one will ever take him away from them, no matter what. Abe hopes she doesn’t mean it. The doorbell rings and Lexie tells him she’ll see how willing he is to keep his son. It’s Cameron Reese. Rolf takes Isaac upstairs. Cameron tells them how expensive the baby battle will be to discredit Bo and Hope Brady in court. Lexie nods (slap) and Abe fumes as Cameron lists things she’s discovered about Hope’s keeping secrets and alcohol abuse as Gina to Shawn’s getting Jan, a girl already on probation, pregnant. Abe comments about sealed juvenile records, but she merely reminds him about representing Jan. He mutters so much for client confidentiality, but Cameron merely shrugs and continues about Bo and Hope’s bastard grandchild. She’s feeling smug, but Abe informs her they won’t be needing her services and opens the door for her. He tells Cameron he knew she was greedy, but now is bending the law. He and Cameron get into a shouting match and Cameron acts insulted and tells Lexie to call her when Abe calms down. Abe yells at her to get out NOW (you tell her Abe!) before he arrests her. After Cameron leaves, Lexie tells him how dare him with her hands on her hips. He tells Lexie she’s not the woman he married and she now disgusts him. He can’t believe how low she’d get to get her own way. He figures she’s the one who’s destroyed them and has known about this from the beginning. She doesn’t know how to love. He calls her evil and it’s not motherly love. No more, it stops NOW. Lexie vents about how Isaac is hers and she’s going to keep him. He tells her she doesn’t deserve to be anyone’s mother. He couldn’t live with himself if Isaac grew up to be like her. She tries to leave, but he stops her and threatens their marriage will be over if she continues like this. He’s as determined to do the honorable thing while she’s equally determined to do whatever it takes to keep Isaac. Bart and Rolf eavesdrop from the hallway. Rolf is happy as Stefano never liked Abe and will be happy to be rid of him. Bart is happy as their job will be more secure this way too. Lexie tells Abe maybe she should drop the name Carver and become what he’s accused her of being, a DiMera as the credits roll…

SPOILER FOR MONDAY, MARCH 25, 2002**

Episode No.: 9269
Directed by: Herb Stein
Tape Date: Various

Some folks are gambling as others are getting ready for the wedding. Victor catches Nicole in her dangerous game.

In the Casino…
Jen and Brandon are strolling around, but she is busy looking over her shoulder for Jack (who is lurking around with Greta). Elizabeth is bitching to Colin because the wedding chapel is booked (well, I'm sure that there are more that ONE in Vegas). She found out that Sami Brady has it. Colin wants to play craps, much against her wishes. Brandon helps Jen play video poker as Jack watches and fumes. Greta prattles on about how she falls in love with the wrong guy for one reason or another as Jack assures her that her luck (as well as his) is going to change soon. Colin is playing craps (and winning) as Liz angrily watches. Jen wins at poker and hugs Brandon. As they kiss both Jack and Colin see them. Jack tries to go over there, but Greta stops him. Jen turns and sees Colin watching her. Greta moons over Colin and strolls over there as Jack notices Jen and Colin staring at each other from across the room. Liz refuses to kiss Colin's dice, so Greta volunteers and he wins. They hug as Liz gets madder and madder. Jack watches back and forth between Jen/Brandon and Greta/Colin and wonders WHAT is wrong with him. Jack gambles away all his money, but Greta comes over with more. Well, it doesn't take long before it's gone and she has only one coin left. She puts it in and hits triple 7's, hitting the jackpot. Jen tries to convince Brandon that Colin's being there doesn't bother her and he suggests that they stay over and see a show (it was only supposed to be a day trip). Before she answers him, they hear a commotion and Jen thinks that maybe Greta hit the jackpot. Liz has had enough of Colin and storms off, with him chasing after her.

In the Restaurant…
Nicole continues to flirt with Austin as Victor walks up and spies them. Nicole gets a call from Carl Liszt, who wants to meet with them again. She jumps on Austin's lap, all excited, as Victor is watching. She is excited as she explains about the call to Austin. He wants to run up to his room, but she keeps stalling and won't let him leave. He tries to call Sami on her phone, but the battery is dead. After he leaves, Victor walks up and notices she isn't wearing his ring. She claims it was not wise and left it in the safe. He wants to know why she and Austin were carrying on, so she tells him about the Permalash account. But he wants his answer, which she promises soon. He says he thinks he already has it. Austin returns to the restaurant with Carl (see below) as Victor sulks off. Carl tells them that he has made a decision, as Nicole reaches over under the table and takes Austin's hand.

Back in Salem…
Lucas is doing his physical therapy and shows off for Kate by walking. She is thrilled and promises that he will have Will back from Sami soon. Lucas isn't too thrilled and says that Sami and Austin deserve to be happy. Kate can't believe her ears as he says that what he needs is for Sami to admit that he never hit Will. He wants to make amends with Sami and move on, for Will's sake. Kate tells him that this is a war and that she has a plan to win it. Kate tries to reason with him as she tells him of her plan to use Nicole to break up Sami and Austin. Lucas wants no part of it, saying he just wants to make peace with her. He refuses to put Will's future in jeopardy. Kate asks WHO he is and what has he done with her son as she stares on in disbelief. Lucas says that the war is over and they can't win. But Kate doesn't want to hear that as she is upset and confused by his behavior. He says that he needs to go see Sami and make amends.

In the Bridal Suite…
Sami rushes to the room as Marlena tries to stop her (bad luck and all). But Sami goes on in, but Austin is not there. There are flowers waiting as Sami excitedly opens the note, sure they are from Austin. OOPS, sorry, wrong brother…they are from Lucas, wishing them luck. Sami fumes as Marlena tries to calm her down and reason with her. Sami thinks they may be poisoned and takes them out to the hall. Marlena, raising her voice to "Samantha Jean" lectures her about what all Lucas has been through. But Sami is sure that this is all part of a plot by Kate and Lucas. Marlena calls her paranoid and Sami accuses her of taking sides. As Sami rants, Austin walks in and tells her to stop being so negative. They go to kiss, but Marlena stops them. Austin asks about the flowers and she explains, handing him the crumpled note. Austin is touched by Lucas' gesture and suggests she call him. She refuses, so Austin calls, telling Sami to listen on the extension (which she does). Afterward, Sami refuses to believe that Lucas was sincere in wishing them luck and is sure that they are plotting against her. Austin leaves so they can get dressed and runs into Carl in the hallway. He introduces Sami as his fiancé and Carl says that he thought Austin and Nicole were an item. After Carl leaves, Sami wants an explanation, but Austin brushes her off, saying they will talk later. Sami is a nervous wreck as Marlena tries to calm her. She asks what she should do with her hair. Marlena assures her that however she wears it, she will be beautiful. Sami says she hopes so, for in a couple hours, she will be MRS. AUSTIN REED…and the credits roll.
