Episode #: 9387
Tape Date: 8/12/02
Director: Mary Madeiras
Summary:
Salem prepares for the Celebration of Heroes...Shawn and Belle
move to their dorm...Chloe and Philip argue...and John makes a
startling discovery about the twins.
At the Cop Shop...
Bo is at work as Jennifer shows up, wanting to interview him about
tomorrow's Celebration of Heroes Day in Salem. Jack and Billie come
in, chattering about her mattress not being comfortable, which
catches both Jen and Bo's attention. Jack clarifies and says that he
was only trying to help Billie get some sleep and that her mattress
wasn't helping the situation. Bo changes the subject, then Jack and
Jennifer explain to them about the ceremony where they are to be
honored for their recent work. Billie doesn't want the recognition
and doesn't consider herself a hero. She finally agrees to accept the
award along with Bo. Bo has to rush off to help Shawn move to the
dorm as Jennifer wants to talk to Billie. Jen tries to explain to her
how she and Jack have decided to date other people and it is fine
with her, etc. But Billie says that the situation with her, Bo, Jack
and Jennifer is just all too confusing and she doesn't want to be in
the middle of all that. After she leaves, Jen decides it was a
mistake to try and talk about it. Jack agrees. Billie goes off to
herself and makes one of her mysterious phone calls. She tells the
person on the other end of the line that she is glad they are there,
and that the situation with Bo is working out even better than they
expected.
Chloe and Philip...
are in the hotel room as she worries awaiting Brady's return. Philip
is trying to get her to go out with him. She worries over finding her
father and is afraid that this may be her last chance. Philip assures
her that they will find him. Philip assures her that Nico is on the
job and she suggests that perhaps Nico find Brady as well. Philip
tells her that he feels like she doesn't trust him and she goes off
on him for not trusting HER. She says that Brady understands what she
is going through, but he doesn't. She tells him that she believed
that being apart from him (Philip) would help her. He asks if she
doesn't love him anymore. She tells him that she does NOT want him
out of her life, but he has other things to handle right now...like
college. But he talks about how he is afraid that if he left, she
would turn to Brady. (Excuse me right here, but what a selfish
bastard Philip is turning into). She gets really frustrated and says
that she does care for him. Philip changes the subject...he has a
gift for her...the hair clip. As she opens it, he can only talk about
how things will be different when she is all well and how he doesn't
want it to end. Frustrated, she goes over to the bed and lies down.
He joins her as she has flashbacks of him and her in the barn. She
also starts thinking about the letter that (she believes) Brady
wrote.
At the Hospital...
There is a replay of Spector reading the twins' DNA results. John
talks about Stefano controlling peoples' lives. Marlena feels
compassion for Cassie and Rex, but John wonders why they were created
and what they were sent there for. John believes that they are some
type of human weapons created to destroy them all. But Marlena feels
that they are only victims, much like she and John have been. John
wants Marlena to help find the answers, but she is in no hurry. She
says that it will take time. She is heading home to help Belle pack
and get her to school, but John says he isn't so sure that Belle
would want to see him right now, so he stays behind.
Off to Salem U...
Shawn is helping Belle get her things together and has to remind her
that she doesn't need to take everything she owns...school is only 10
minutes away. They talk about Cassie and Rex and how John is worried
about them being dangerous. Shawn thinks that she is obsessed with
them, which leads to a huge argument, ending with Shawn slamming the
door and leaving. Later, Marlena comes home to help. She sees that
she is upset and tries to comfort her. Marlena has good news for her
and tells her about how she knows where the twins are and how she is
helping with them. Belle blames her dad for what happened, but
Marlena assures her that he is only looking out for his family. They
talk about the missing key and wonder where it is. Marlena tells
Belle about Stefano's possible involvement and also informs her that
they are not aliens, with tests proving that they are indeed human.
She says that they need to know who they are and where they came
from. She tells Belle of the genetic engineering and how they all
need to be careful. Belle thinks she will never see them again, but
Marlena assures her she will, but it will be a while. She asks her to
keep it to herself (although she does give permission to tell Shawn).
Belle tells her about the fight and Marlena agrees with Shawn, that
Belle needs to concentrate on other things right now, like
school.
Hartley House...
Bo and Shawn arrive at the dorm, hauling in his stuff. In the middle
of all the chaos, Shawn gets a call from Hope, who is calling to
check on her little boy (ahh). She corrects herself and says her
little boy...who is going off to college. They chat for a bit as she
gives him an update on JT and offers the standard motherly advice.
(Hurry back Kristian!...we MISS you!) She tells him to tell his dad
she will call him later tonight. Later, Bo and Shawn get his stuff to
his room and he tells him about his fight with Belle. They also talk
about the Bo/Billie situation and Bo assures him that there is
nothing going on there. Shawn understands all that but wishes Bo
would explain it all to Hope. Bo informs him that he plans on doing
so when she calls tonight. He tells Shawn that there is reason for
concern there and that he is going to stay clear of Billie. Later,
Belle and Marlena arrive dragging bags. Shawn and Bo rush to assist
them, with Belle quickly apologizing to Shawn. Caprice is there as
well. (It seems that she has moved out of the penthouse and is now
living there in the dorm and is the RA of Hartley House. She is the
one who helped Shawn and Belle get in there. She has also decided to
go back to college.) They joke about how she is there to spy on Belle
and report back to her mom. Mimi drops by and wishes she could live
there too. Caprice informs Belle that her roommate is an
international student and won't be there for a couple of weeks, so
Mimi may stay with Belle some. Mimi digs in her purse for her
schedule (blue key in her hand...but alas, no one notices it).
Shawn's roommate Henry (aka Dozer) comes by and introduces himself
and all have a laugh about that (he doesn't seem too bright). Belle
and Shawn realize that "this is it" and how their lives are changing
so quickly. Marlena and Belle hug and say goodbyes as do Shawn and
his dad. Cute how Bo has to practically drag Marlena out the door.
Shawn asks why she is in such a good mood and she explains about
Cassie and Rex. As Mimi goes to leave, she runs into Cynthia, who is
also living in (what she calls) "Heartbreak House". She says that it
can't be a good omen for little Romeo and Juliet (Belle and
Shawn).
Later, Bo returns to the cop shop to find letters for him and Billie from the commissioner. He opens his and says "Oh no...no way."
Back at the Hospital...
Jack and Jennifer are now at the hospital to interview Craig. They
catch a glimpse of the mysterious Dr. Frank (Spector) and nurse
Brenda fills them in on him. They are intrigued by all this mystery
and decide that there is a big story here and that they must
investigate.
John goes in to see the twins, telling them his name is John Black, at least that is the name Stefano gave him. The name doesn't register with them, but they do have flashbacks of seeing John with the blue key. Rex says hello and shakes John's hand. John notices something and pulls out the key, causing them to freak out. John calms them down and explains that he wants to try something. He takes the key and unlocks Rex's bracelet and it comes off. Cassie quickly offers hers as well. As John looks at her arm, he notices a strange tattoo. When he puts their arms together, the tattoos form the DiMera crest. John says "The Phoenix" (cue strange music). Marlena returns and John shows her the tattoos. They talk privately as he is very concerned and believes that the twins could be Stefano's legacy...young, beautiful and industructable. He says "Mark my words...they are the beginning of the end."...and the credits roll.

Episode #: 9388
Tape Date: 8/13/02
Director: Herb Stein****
Brady gets an attorney as Philip continues to snow Chloe, and in a very special, moving ceremony, Salem honors not only it's own, but ALL Police, Firefighters and EMTs.
DRY CREEK
Chloe awakens to the touch of a flower on her cheek. Tis Philip, who
wishes he had a rose, but the season is over. Chloe tells him he
should not be thinking of flowers, but of finding Brady. She goes to
bathroom to get dressed, as Philip calls the front desk, warning the
clerk not say anything to Chloe about the note, that his girlfriend
would not understand the joke, & promises to give the guy another
$50. Chloe comes out, they go to the clinic, where a different nurse
is on duty. Philip offers to do the talking, but Chloe politely says
the last time he butted in, Dr. Thompson took off. The nurse tells
them, no, Dr. Thompson is not in, but she can see Dr. Jasper. He
comes out, rather ticked that he had to come in on his day off, when
Dr. Thompson was a no-show. He says no one is at Thompson's house
either. He leaves, & Chloe asks the nurse about the other nurse,
thus learning she was Mrs. Thompson, and has also disappeared. They
return to the room, where Philip wonders if this is not too tiring
for Chloe. (hmmm, but traipsing around on a trip to NY would have
been restful, right?) A frustrated Chloe says they might as well
return home, as no one has seen Brady. Philip happily offers to pack
up immediately.
AT THE COP SHOP
All of Salem's finest are in full uniform, as Billie rereads her
letter from the Commissioner. Bo goes into Abe's office, asking him
not to partner him with Billie. They argue, & Abe tells him he
would not break the rules for Lexie, and he won't do it for Bo. After
they leave for the park, Billie calls her "contact" (this is getting
tiresome, who is it?) & asks "what do you want me to do?". She
talks about the award, & seems to not want to go cause of press
coverage, but has no choice. She happily tells the person about how
she is to be partnered with Bo. Could not be better.
IN CHLOE'S HOSPITAL ROOM
In Nicole's hospital room, Brandon is talking to Nicole about
how Sami treats him one way when alone, but like a pariah in public.
He wonders what the old b***ard, Vic has on Sami. Ah, there is
Victor, right behind him. He laughingly says he knows he appears old
to Brandon, but he loves Nicole. Colin comes in with the latest test
results, which are looking very good. They need to do some blood
work, and all 3 leave to go to the park. Later Nurse Brenda is
tending to Nicole, and as she leaves, turns around for once last
check, saying Oh, my God!
BACK IN DRY CREEK
Brady wakes from a bad dream, where he is pleading with Sykes for
bone marrow for Chloe. He bangs on the bars, drawing the sheriff to
his cell, where he promptly is given a hard time about the phone
still being out of order, and his cell phone battery dead. The
sheriff leaves, & Brady remembers his fight with Philip,
wondering why he wasn't arrested. He gets a visitor. His court
appointed lawyer, who looks and sounds a bit like Wally Cox of Mr.
Peepers fame. LOL. Brady tries to explain what happened, saying his
dad will pay for any damage, but the attorney gives him a hard time
about running to daddy for help. Virgil Dawson is not too helpful,
and warns Brady not to insult the Judge, as he is his brother-in-law.
(Uh, oh). He leaves and later the sheriff comes for Brady, telling
him he is going to go before the judge. In the courtroom, he asks Mr.
Dawson if he has a good defense for him. Dawson replies....yes, plead
guilty and throw yourself on the mercy of the court!
THE CELEBRATION OF HEROES
The park is filled with uniformed men and women, and our Salemites,
decorations everywhere, and a dais set up. Mickey & Maggie
arrive, greeting Mayor Sheffield, who introduces them to EMT Gil
Stokes. Maggie says he is the one who saved Nicole's life, but he
softly replies that he was just doing his job. Tony & Lexie
arrive, but she wants to leave. Tony says no, and goes to talk to
Colin about the whereabouts of Marlena. Colin doesn't know, but
informs Tony about the pathology lab being off limits to the staff,
and how a government agent is posing as a doctor. Roman meets up with
Bo, & they talk about Billie. Roman tells Bo it was not his idea,
and he had nothing to do with them being partners.
Sami arrives with Will (in a boy scout uniform), as Lucas & Kate walk up. Will talks about how he got his 4th grade class to take up a collection for today. Will wants ice cream, Lucas gives him money, Sami is not happy about it. Lucas tells her that in Africa he & Will had a pact - eat dessert first, otherwise you may not have room for it. As Will goes off, Sami complains to her father how Lucas is not being a responsible parent. When Will returns, now eating a caramel apple, Sami is not a happy camper. Lucas comes up, reminding Sami how he saw her kissing Brandon on the roof, - against Vic's orders -and collars Mickey, saying he & Sami want him to draw up papers for a joint custody arrangement. Mickey is happy to hear they have worked this out.
Jack & Jen arrive with Abbie. She is happy they are all together, and wants to go buy some T-shirts. As she leaves, Jack sees his big story arrive....tis Tony DiMera & Lexie. (For the rest of the show, we see Jack, busily scribbling in his notebook - a true reporter! LOL) Mickey gets up on the dais, calling for everyone's attention, as he introduces Mayor Arthur Sheffield. The Mayor talks about the year since September 11th, & talks of the sacrifices made by dedicated men & women of the Police Dept., Fire Dept. and Emergency Services. The Mayor pays tribute to Alice Horton, (she is sitting on the dais, and looks absolutely beautiful!!). Alice makes a short speech, saying how she & her beloved Tom always got great joy from helping their fellow man. Mayor Sheffield mentions how Salem is beginning a series of firsts. They are having this Celebration of Heroes, the Light the Night walk is coming up. He announces a fund for the families of fallen heroes, being set up with 2 huge corporate donations, from Basic Black, represented by Kate Roberts, (he mentions John being unable to be there) and Titan, represented by Victor Kiriakis. Both are on the dais and stand for the applause. (Nice to see Kate & Victor together & being civil) The mayor then wants to thank someone else, looking for the persons...and announcing Tony DiMera & Lexie Carver. The audience is stunned into silence, as Tony & Lexie make their way up to the dais. Tony announces the DiMera family is giving a check for $200,000.00 to the city of Salem. This statement is greeted by more silence, until we hear the sound of one pair of hands slowly clapping. It is Abe. Sami is watching him, then joins in, and soon everyone is applauding.
Next, the mayor calls up Commander Carver & Captain Brady, who jointly announce a memorial to be built in this beautiful park. Abe emotionally tells of the long list of fallen heroes he is holding in his hands, going back many years, and tells how the memorial will list all their names. He also mentions how proud he is that his brother, Theo Carver, will have his name among those listed. Roman pulls off the curtain covering the picture of the simple, but beautiful memorial. As the assembled group claps, the camera pans the faces of the real Police, Firefighters and EMTs who are a part of this ceremony. (Yes, Days used REAL officers, that was just so moving) On the memorial are the words "To Protect and Serve".
Mayor Sheffield now calls up Bo & Billie to receive their citations, and announces, that in respect for their bravery, he is creating a special task force, and making them head it up. Camera pans to the ground, we see feet walking, camera goes higher, and there are those hands......Mr. KnuckleCracker is back! The ceremony is over, people are milling about as Colin comments to Sami about her clapping for Tony. She replies that he is a friend. Colin gets a call from Brenda, and passes the news that Nicole is waking up. Colin, Brandon & Victor all rush off. (wonder where Fay has been). Sami panics and runs to Tony, who tells her that when he gets the key, he will do his stuff in re: Nicole. Sami agrees to get it now, as aloud she asks John & Marlena to forgive her, but she needs Brandon in her life, & will do anything to make that happen. And the credits roll.

Episode #: 9389
Tape Date: Various
Director: Randy Robbins**1/2
Summary:
Philip is exposed to Chloe as Brady is cleared...Billie and Bo go
head to head...Roman fills Abe in on Kate. Jack and Jennifer
celebrate a special day as only THEY can do.
Philip Is Exposed...
At the motel, Chloe is writing a letter for her father as Philip
packs up. She wants to drop it off at the sheriff's office for them
to give to the doctor. Philip objects and hem-haws around making
excuses, trying to discourage her. She is determined though and if he
won't go along with her, she will go alone. Philip continues to make
excuses, but she insists. He finally gives in and agrees to go with
her. He wishes he had never come to Dry Creek but tells her he wants
to be where ever she is. (just wait Philip).
Meanwhile, Brady's worm of a lawyer Virgil (remember him...he played "Nub" on Burt Reynolds' series 'Evening Shade' a few years ago) urges him to plead guilty and throw himself on the mercy of the court (LOL). The hearing starts and Brady lashes out Judge "Broe" (wink, wink...we get it). Brady is charged with destruction of property, suspicion of trying to steal drugs and resisting arrest. He pleads not guilty and tries to plead his case, but his smart-ass attitude doesn't sit well with the judge as he threatens to charge him with contempt. He complains about his rights being violated and demands to know why he is being railroaded. The judge threatens to throw the book at him. Again, Brady pleads not guilty so the judge sets the trial date for sometime in November (with no bail). Brady blows a gasket and Judge Broe orders the sheriff to lock him up.
Chloe and Philip show up and hear the commotion in the other room. Chloe rushes in and finds Brady, demanding to know what is going on. The judge explains the charges as Chloe explains what happened (the COVER story that is, with the sprained ankle). After learning about the fight, the judge wonders why only Brady was arrested, and not Philip as well (remember, Philip paid the sheriff off). The judge asks if there are any witnesses and Chloe asks Philip to back up her story, which he reluctantly does. The judge ends up dropping the charges and Philip offers to pay for the damages to "make things right". After hearing all this, Brady becomes more and more suspicious. Later, they all go back to the motel as Chloe explains that she and Philip are going back to Salem. Brady intends to stay and search for her father and gives her the choice of leaving or staying and helping. Chloe asks him about the letter and then shows it to him. He blows up, saying he was set up and he knows who did it, calling Philip a "little bastard" in the process.
The Ceremony Winds Down...
Shawn and Belle show up at the park, realizing they missed the
ceremony. (Check out Belle's funky red glasses.) Shawn hates he
missed seeing his dad get his award. Jack and Jennifer are still
there, interviewing the Mayor who tells them they should be talking
to the real heroes...Bo and Billie. The Commissioner is talking to Bo
about his new assignment (with Billie) as Shawn walks up and hears
and is angered by it. He calms down as Bo offers to buy their (Shawn
and Belle) lunch. Sensing the tension, Belle goes to get the lunch as
Bo tries to explain about the arrangement to an angry Shawn. Bo
promises him that he will get out of it. Shawn says that he trusts
his dad...it's Billie he doesn't trust and thinks she is up to
something. Belle returns, but the refreshment stand was closed. Shawn
suggests they go the Brady Pub, but Bo has to get back to work. He
gives them lunch money and sends them on their way.
Shawn and Belle find a hot dog vendor and eat in the park, spending the rest of the show talking about school, Chloe, Philip, Brady, Cassie and Rex...blah, blah, blah. (Sorry, but "Saved by the Belle...the College Years" really doesn't interest me that much.) Shawn talks about being tired after Dozer's party last night and she tells him that her door is always open. They kiss in the grass as they talk about how their lives are changing. Shawn tells her that he will love her forever. (Hmmm...sounds like trouble to me...how many times has Bo told Hope that?).
Jack and Jennifer interview the Commissioner as the Mayor openly flirts with Billie. Jack then interviews Billie as Jen and Bo watch and talk about them. Bo sees that Jen is bothered by seeing Jack and Billie together, but she denies it. They talk about Bo's new partnership and he tells her that Hope doesn't know about it yet. (God be with Billie when she finds out!...remember their last encounter when Hope slapped the poop out of her?) Jack invites Billie to dinner as even Billie notices that Jen is a bit jealous. Jen tells Jack it's time to head back to the office and they leave. The Mayor and Commissioner come over and offer Billie a position on the Mayor's personal security team, which she promptly turns down, much to Bo's dismay. After the Mayor leaves, Bo asks what the HELL is wrong with her. She says that she wants to stay with the Salem PD and work with him and Roman. (Mr. Knuckle Cracker is lurking in the bushes watching/listening to them). She tells Bo that the Mayor is after MORE than her professional skills. (Well, Billie, you WERE once a hooker, weren't you? WHICH "professional skills" are you talking about?) She realizes that Bo just wants to get rid of her and he doesn't deny it. He says that he just wants what is best for her. She leaves as Bo is upset, saying that he is going to do what is best for HIM as well. As Billie leaves, the Knuckle Cracker follows. (We don't see his face, only that he is wearing a long black trench coat...like that wouldn't draw attention in the park on a hot summer day?)
Jack and Jennifer stop for lunch and talk about the ceremony. Jack notices she is down and asks if she is upset about him and Billie. She claims she isn't, but IS upset that Billie is working with Bo. She doesn't trust Billie but Jack defends her. She warns him to be careful with Billie. They also start their on-going argument over Colin, but Jen stops it, saying she doesn't want to argue today. Jack goes to get a surprise and returns (asking her to close her eyes) with a pastry with a candle on it as he hums. When she opens her eyes, he wishes her a happy birthday. (Okay, history buffs...is September 11th REALLY Jen's birthday?) She is touched that he remembered. She doesn't feel right celebrating her birthday on such a somber day. But he tells her that it's only fitting, as it IS a day for people to celebrate their heroes. (aaahhhh...sweet smiles from both). He promises cake and ice cream later with Alice and Abby. She blows out her candle, making a wish. He tells her that he hopes her wish comes true and she tells him that she does as well.
At the Cop Shop...
Roman and Abe return to work and talk about the partnership of Bo and
Billie. Roman receives a report of Kate's bank records, assuring Abe
that he got a warrant. He tells him about the note from Stefano and
that he is looking for a large recent deposit. When nothing shows up,
they wonder about her involvement with the DiMeras. Roman vows to not
stop looking as Abe wonders if there is more to the story. He hits a
nerve as Roman claims that he doesn't have any feelings for her.
Roman gets a lovely bouquet of roses and says they are from Kate, as
Abe arches his eyebrows. He explains to Abe that he sent them to her
earlier and she has returned them. The note reads "You may be into
playing games...but I'm not...Nice Try. - Kate" Abe tells him that it
looks like he struck out. (ROFL). Bo comes in, demanding that Abe get
him out of this partnership with Billie...NOW.
Billie is on her way back to work and stops to pick something up in Salem Place. As she turns to leave, she runs into someone (literally). We don't see who it is (is it Mr. Knuckle Cracker?). She says "My God...what are you doing here?"...and the credits roll.

Director: Phil Sogard***
Summary:
Sami continues to do Tony's dirty work...Nicole comes out of her
coma...Mimi loses the blue key...and Bo is able to get an angry
Billie transferred.
Down at the Cop Shop...
A shaken Billie returns to the station, having flashbacks of running
into the mystery man and telling him that she will call him later.
She walks into Abe's office, hearing him, Roman and Bo discussing
her. Abe tries to force her into taking the Mayor's offer and she
gets really upset and angry with the three of them. She says that
they can't do this to her and spouts off disrespectfully at Abe,
saying it is just a good ole boys club and thinks they are all in a
conspiracy against her. Abe excuses Roman and Bo as he proceeds to
chew out Officer Reed. He rakes her over the coals for talking to him
like that and asks what she is really up to. Is she really over
Bo?...And why is working with him such a big deal?
Outside, Roman and Bo wonder why she is so worked up. Roman asks Bo if he is over her and he insists that he is and loves Hope. Roman asks why he feels so threatened by her. Bo thinks that it is Billie that isn't over him. Billie comes out, telling Bo that she hopes he is happy for ruining her future. Roman excuses himself as Bo and Billie argue over his interference. Bo says that it is a great opportunity for her, but she doesn't see it that way. She storms off as Bo breathes a sigh of relief.
Later we see Bo on the phone with Hope (who is hiding by her customary bouquet of flowers in the Reiber kitchen;-) telling her about Billie being reassigned. (I assume that he told her more?) They spend time catching up as Bo tells her that Lexie wasn't charged with anything and that the case is closed. He also tells her about Abe filing for divorce. She talks about how great JT is doing and how well he and Zack are getting along and promises to be home soon.
Meanwhile, Billie is in Salem Place on the phone with her mystery guy. She is telling him that she didn't know he was in Salem and that they can never be seen together. She tells him that she has a problem on her hands right now and she believes that it is time for Phase 2. She tells him not to worry...Bo won't get rid of her that easy.
At the Hartley House...
Mimi drops by to visit with Belle and they realize that it is Friday
the 13th. Mimi tells her the legend of Hearbreak House (as told to
her by Cynthia) and how it is bad news for couples who live there.
Belle doesnt believe her and tells her to stop listening to
Cynthia. Caprice drops in to visit as they (Mimi and Caprice) tease
Belle about her kitten poster on the wall, telling her she needs some
bare-chested hunks. Belle finds out that her roommate has been
delayed, so Mimi is going to stay with her for a while. Belle and
Mimi are curious about all of Caprices secrets, but she dodges
their questions. After she leaves, they talk about how cool she is,
but Belle is afraid she will be spying on her and reporting back to
her mom. They decide to go to the mall and as Mimi digs in her purse,
she drops the blue key. As they leave, there is a shot of the key
peeking out from under the edge of the bed.
Later, Belle and Mimi stop at the Java Café to rest and talk about the twins. Belle tells her about Marlena being in charge of them (I thought Marlena told her not to tell). Mimi thinks all of it sounds odd and asks What is this...the X-Files? (Hey, maybe its time I put that banner back up?...ROFL!) They talk about Marlenas involvement (as Mimi gives funny looks...what a hoot she is). Sami comes by (after leaving the penthouse...see below) with a terrible headache. Belle tells her to get aspirin from her purse as she and Mimi go to check out a dress in Ballistix window. In Belles purse, Sami finds the key of the drawing and swipes it. Sami hurries off as Belle and Mimi return.
Later, John comes by to talk to Belle, and as Mimi walks up, Belle informs him that Mimi knows about the twins. John tells her that he needs the key, but she informs him that she doesnt know where it is. She gets really snarky with him, thinking he may be out to hurt the twins. He tells her about the tattoos and that he is worried about a threat from Stefano, and reminds him that Stef is dead. Then she points out that he has the tattoo as well and calls him a hypocrite. She is sure that Cassie and Rex are not working for the DiMeras. John says that he is only trying to protect his family and that everyone in Salem should be concerned. Belle tells him again that she doesnt know what happened to the key but she does have the drawing. She looks for it and realizes that it, too is gone.
At the Hospital...
Sami is hard at work (LOL) reading a sleazy romance novel (Passion
Shadows) until Tony walks up and snatches it away. He asks about the
key and when he finds out she doesnt have it, he begins to
pressure her. She tells him that she is going on break and will go
over to the penthouse to search for it. (gee, how long of a break
does she get?) She goes over there and tears the place apart, but
comes up empty. She realizes that John must have it with him and says
that the only way she could get it is to frisk him. She doesnt
even want to go THERE! (LOL). Earlier, John caught up with Spector at
the hospital and told him to meet him at the penthouse. Sami hears a
noise outside the door as John bursts inside, asking what the HELL is
she doing there? She covers, saying she is there to get Wills
jacket he left and that Lucas was having a fit. As she straightens up
the living room, she tells John that in the process she lost her
glasses and was just looking for them. She offers to finish cleaning
up the mess she made, but John tells her to get on back to work. In
the hallway she wonders what to do now.
After her encounter with Belle, she rushes over to DiMansion. She tells him about the basement of the hospital being sealed off and he wants her to find out why. He is disappointed in her for not finding the key, but she does have a consolation prize and pulls out the drawing. He is intrigued as he asks where she got it and she tells him from her sisters purse. She wants a reward so he directs her to a drawer with an envelope. Inside, there are pictures of Colin and Nicole kissing. Sami is thrilled, but Tony is only using it as bait, taking them back from her.
Colin spotted John and Spector earlier and told Tony about seeing them. Tony wants more info. Later, Colin bumps into Spector and tries to engage him in conversation, but Spector hurries off. (Spector and John had been discussing the purpose of the key and how they unlocked the bracelets. Spector tells him that they are made from the same material as the key. Also, the bracelets monitor their vital signs and are some type of communication devices.)
Nicole Awakens...
from her coma but is weak as she has flashbacks of Sami trying to
pull the plug. Brandon, Fay and Victor are all there and Colin tells
them to talk to her one at a time, but not to tire her out. She
mumbles dont kill me. Victor talks with her first
and as she notices the ring, he vows his love and promising a real
proposal when she is well. Victor fills her in on how she got shot
and assures her that she is going to be okay. She tells him to
not let her get away with it. Victor questions her, but
she can barely speak. He promises to take care of Sami for her.
