MONDAY, JULY 15, 2002 **1/2

Episode: 9347
Directed by: Randy Robbins
Tape date: Various

Summary:
Maggie and Julie have a "close encounter"...Colin tries to pull the wool over Jennifer's eyes...as Tony and John try to do the same to each other...Nancy and Craig get good news about the lawsuit, but hit a brick wall in the search for Dr. Sykes.

In Salem Place...
It is dark now as Shawn and Belle arrive back in town at Salem Place in the truck. They talk about their experience the other night and how crazy it all sounds now. As they talk the "alien" kids sneak out of the back of the truck (still dressed in their strategically placed aluminum foil outfits). At Salem Place, Shawn goes and gets them coffee as they both rib each other about what it was like to kiss an alien (they are supposed to meet the others later at Brady Pub for a meeting about the bone marrow drive for Chloe). Julie and Maggie come by (with Zack in the stroller) and ask Shawn and Belle to watch him a few minutes while they pick up some take out food. Belle goes to get Zack some red licorice (his favorite) as Shawn does a little bonding with him (cute as Zack just chatters away as always). Shawn and Zack high five each other as Belle returns with the candy. Zack calls him "brother". As Julie and Maggie return, they see the "aliens" go running through Salem Place and are shocked, asking each other "did you see what I just saw?" They rush over to Shawn and Belle, telling them what they just witnessed. They decide it must have been 2 kids on a dare or a prank of some kind, but Shawn and Belle know different. They decide to head to the pub as we see the "aliens" pawing through a dumpster. They watch as Shawn and Belle leave, while they examine what they found...a shopping bag that reads "I (heart) Salem".

Jack and Jennifer...
Colin leads a blindfolded Jennifer to a campfire in the woods, telling her to go back in time. He sits her down, asking her to remember when they first met in Africa. Back at the Spectator, Jack continues to pack up his stuffing, telling Harold that Jen hung up on him. He goes to leave, but Harold stops him asking him to take a walk around the block to think about it first. Jack agrees and ends up at the Brady Pub. Back in the woods, Colin really lays it on thick, but an uncomfortable Jen wants to leave. He offers to tell her the truth as he babbles on about playing games with her, but she calls him a liar. She is angry with him for telling Jack that she didn't love him anymore. She goes to leave, but he tries to explain. He tells her the truth is that he came to Salem because he couldn't live without her. He continues his BS, asking her to give him a chance. She tells him that she needs time to think it over. (Okay, is she falling for it or is she playing him?). At the pub, Jack talks with PopShawn, who by the way, agrees that Colin should stay away from Jen, since Colin is a lady killer who just uses women. Jack questions Shawn about Colin as Shawn suggests that Bo, as well as everyone else, should leave Colin alone. But Jack knows that isn't going to happen. He returns to the Spectator, telling Harold he knows what he has to do and continues to pack his box. Jennifer returns and sees him packing up. She tells him that she now believes him about Colin and wants to help him prove it (YES...she isn't so dumb afterall!!)

At the Hospital...
Nancy is upset to learn that they have put Chloe in isolation, due to her susceptibility to infection right now, so she has to settle with calling her, telling her that she loves her and they are doing all they can to help her. Nurse Brenda comes by with good news, telling them that they have located the security tapes from the night Zack and JT were born. They are thrilled as Craig says that Lexie has messed around with the WRONG people this time. Then the detective comes by with not-so-good news...they can't locate Dr. Sykes. He and his sister have been estranged for years and she has no idea where he is. He tells them that it is like he has fallen off the face of the earth. Nancy is afraid they will never find a donor, but Craig has an idea he has been researching. He suggests that THEY can provide a donor...by having a child.

Over in Marlena's Office...
We get a replay of her ordering Tony OUT of her office. John comes in, telling Tony that they need to work things out. John offers to make amends (following Kate's advice). He offers to put the past behind them and move forward. But John wants to know why he is in his wife's office. Tony tries to explain the blackouts he has been having and says that he felt drawn to Marlena, because of the fact that both of them having missing years in their lives (hmmm...interesting). He talks about how he wants to put together his missing years, but the "key" to his past is gone. John knows exactly what he is referring to (as we see flashbacks of John stealing the key from DiMansion). John reminds him that he has chunks of his life missing as well, but he is going to concentrate on the future with his wife and family. Tony says that he wants to make the DiMera name something to be proud of and return respect to it. John and Tony are so nice to each other, Marlena almost seems in shock over it all. Tony invites them over for dinner as a show of good faith. John accepts, as long as Marlena agrees, which she does. They shake hands as Tony leaves. Outside, Tony is surprised at how well that went. A suspicious Marlena asks John if he is up to something. But he tries to convince her that he is only following her suggestion. She asks if he is going to be that forgiving with Lexie, to which she gets and unconditional NO. He tells her that he will do whatever it takes to make peace and keep his family safe.

As Tony is leaving, he runs into Colin (who is back at the hospital now) and he wants to examine him. In the exam room, the tells Colin about being drawn to Marlena and about John's behavior. Colin is intrigued and wants to know more as Tony explains that he knew John was playing him. He says, who knows, they may even become his 2 best friends as the laugh about it. Colin asks if he needs his help to set the trap, but Tony assures him that he has it under control and for Colin not to underestimate him. Tony intends to get close with John and Marlena, saying that they will help in ways they would never imagine. He smiles a wicked smile as the roll.

Episode: 9348
Directed by: Roger W. Inman
Tape Date: 6/18/02

Are Abe and Lexie history? Will the aliens picnic with their new treasures? Will Nancy and Craig get pregnant? Will the teens ever eat with their family's again? Stay tuned to find out.

COP SHOP
Poor Abe. He gazes at the Salem Intruder's latest cover and reads how a "psycho mom sues the hospital over baby switch" with Lexie's picture on it. Lexie stomps in irate saying her probation officer is the only one who can demand to see her and asks why she was summoned. Abe tells her he wanted to know if she's so sue happy, is he next, in divorce court? The two argue as he asks for honesty and she reminds him he doesn't believe she can be. He agrees as they excel in bickering. He tells her he still loves her and that little boy. She picks up Zack's picture and touches in gently as he tells her that she's the only one who knows how deeply he's (Abe's) hurting. She remembers how Abe made funny faces to get Isaac to smile for that picture. He assures her that Isaac knows they love him and didn't abandon him. He said this is the time they need each other the most. She's still a passionate woman and he still loves her and wants to be there for her, but only if she still wants that too. He asks her if she wants to save their marriage. She turns around with tears in her eyes. An officer knocks and ask to use one of Abe's chairs for the academy's graduating class orientation the next day. Abe remembers when Lexie was a new graduate, but she changes the subject and asks about Isaac. He tells her he's fine and he asked where his mama was (oh Abe, wrong answer man). Abe tells her that he's sure Bo and Hope would let her see Zack if..but she interrupts and finishes with if she stayed married to him, Commander. She starts ranting about how he always thinks he's right and the lawsuit. They argue about her father and his guilt in the baby switch. She knows he's secretly thrilled that her father is dead. After some ranting she agrees he may be right about something, that they're wrong for each other and exits. (dump her Abe, you deserve better!)

COLIN MURPHY, PHASE 1
Jen returns to the Spectator and tells Jack not to quit. She agrees with him about Colin and wants to help him prove it. She tells him how Colin wants her and what Colin Murphy wants, he finishes with, Colin Murphy gets. She tells him what convinced her was Colin's kidnapping her this afternoon and what happened. Jack gets a little upset at this, but Jen tells him it was more of a distraction to her as she saw him and Tony together. She's excited about this story and if he stays with the paper, wants to do it with him, but she's in charge now. They head over to the pub as she guarantees Colin will make an appearance being Chloe's doctor.

LET'S MAKE A BABY
Nancy and Craig talk about having another baby to help Chloe. She reminds him it'll take 9 months if they're lucky and panics at the realization he might think that's the only way. He assures her that's not true, he's just doesn't want to ignore any possibilities. He also assures her it wouldn't harm the baby either. Nancy's worried that Chloe might consider it as they're trying to replace her. He tells her no, that Chloe will know she's irreplaceable and there's only one Chloe.

CHLOE'S CAMPAIGN
The teens have taken over the Brady Pub with their campaign to help Chloe. Caroline's even throwing in coupons for those who get tested. Shawn and Belle talk about their alien couple running around Salem. Shawn tells her that as long as they have each other, all will be well again and to have faith. The gang paints posters (which you'll see at the end of the show have straight and consistent lettering!) as Belle and Shawn try to dismiss the teasing about the aliens. Bo questions Shawn about the conflicting stories between what they told their parents vs. Agent Spector. He tells Shawn there's a far out article in the Intruder about it. Shawn doesn't really answer, just says they didn't want to sound crazy saying they saw aliens.

At the bar, Bo calls home and asks Hope if she wants Ma's lasagna or meatloaf. She has 5 seconds to make up her mind (LOL..how many of you married ladies can relate to the deadline ;-) as he counts down. He agrees with her choice (but we don't know which one) as he tells her he loves her. Billie (in her blonde wig) is stalking the outside of the pub watching in. Philip goes to get more paint out of his car and recognizes Billie, blonde wig and all, as she scurries away and pulls off her wig before talking to him. He figures out she's looking at Bo and promises not to tell anyone she's in town. Bo asks Philip who he was talking to when he returns (what's it to you Bo?). Philip explains his flushed, distracted appearance is due to talking to someone from school asking about Chloe while he was outside. Bo accepts that, but we see Billie back in her blonde wig, telling someone on her cellphone that she's right on schedule.

Mimi's got a new hairstyle..interesting with the ultra mini bangs. She wonders if the aliens are waiting for the mother ship to come get them. This cues us into the teens with their glowing wristbands watching the sky, haha. Belle and Brady talk about his true feelings for Chloe (must be something in the water at the penthouse as Brady's face is spouting hair and Belle's short hairstyle from the Last Blast is now past her shoulders, haha (ok, ok..they're hair extensions, but just had to say it) He tells her Chloe doesn't need for him to love her like that right now and he's only going to love her like a friend for the time being. She returns to Shawn and they hug as she can't shake the feeling that the aliens were real.

Craig and Nancy run into Jack and Jen outside the pub. They fill J&J in on how Chloe is doing when they ask. J&J tell them how Abby had a bone marrow transplant at 11 months old for her aplastic anemia . (OK, for all of you who want to learn more about what happened, read up on Jack, Jen and Abby's history on Dustin's site under Deveraux's character history.)

Later J&J are painting signs in a booth (he's in a suit and tie and painting? brave guy!!!) as Colin walks in. Craig and Nancy feel encouraged by all the support being shown. Alone they leave to help Chloe as only they can. Colin joins Bo and Pop at the counter and Colin gives him a belated Christening gift (a silver cup). He had the engraving on the cup changed to Zack's name. Bo scoots the teens out to hang up the posters that were painted. Jack tells Bo how Jen has taken over his investigation and Bo's not happy about that. He knows he can't talk her out of it as you can't change a Horton woman's mind (smart man!). We see Jen interviewing Colin about the campaign, then thanking him for what happened earlier. He tells her he's always felt that they were meant to be together.

WESLEY HOME
Sipping tea on their couch, Nancy (in her night gown) tells Craig how she wanted to be a pediatrician long ago. She agrees that they're not helpless in regards to Chloe and start kissing. She informs him that she's not at a good time of the month to conceive. If she does conceive, it will not only be to help Chloe, but because she loves him and wants his baby too. They resume where they left off.

THE HOSPITAL
The teens are noisily hanging up posters at the hospital as Philip calls Chloe on her cellphone and tells her to rest and he loves her. Mimi's disappointed she didn't get a chance to talk to Chloe. Philip tells her he realizes this is about Chloe and how he feels like the two of them are one. Brady overhears and realizes that Chloe needs all of their love.

BACK TO THE PUB
The alien couple wanders through Salem exploring trash baskets. The female half tenderly rescues a whole cantaloupe from the trash and gently places it in their carrier bag labeled I (heart) love Salem that they apparently rescued in a garbage can too, haha.

As Bo leaves the pub he hears a noise (Billie) and tries to catch whomever it was, but Pop shouts for him and he stops. (Poor Hope must be starved by now) At the same time some kids (the alien duo) had taken a ½ bottle of wine from the pub's kitchen. The aliens put the bottle in their bag as she looks at the picture of Belle and Shawn she took as well (one they didn't use for the campaign being Chloe wasn't in it). Elsewhere in the alley, Billie steps out from where she hid, telling herself that tomorrow Bo and everyone else will know the truth..as the credits roll...

Episode #9349
Tape date - various
Director - Roger W. Inman***

Salem Hospital is bustling, as Salemites respond to the bone marrow drive, Roman gets a new partner, and the strange young couple find some clothes.

AT DIMANSION
At DiMansion, Tony is complaining to himself about John and the key, when the doorbell rings. Lo & behold, tis John bearing a housewarming gift. A beautifully bound book of short stories by Edgar Allen Poe. They engage is some chit chat (love how these two, with big smiles, dance around each other) about the house, how well it is built, like a fortress, and how safe Tony must feel, as no one could ever break in. Tony talks about wanting to begin to entertain, and looking forward to the dinner with John & Marlena. He sees John to the door, telling him to drop by anytime, and he doesn't even have to call first (hint, hint, John!). John stands outside as the door closes behind him, smiles and says "like taking candy from a baby".

AT THE HOSPITAL.....
Mickey & Maggie are taking registrations, as people mill about. Susan, Hawk, Jason & Cynthia come in, chat a bit with Belle & Shawn, before going for their tests. Shawn & Caroline have brought coupons for roast beef sandwiches to be given to every one being tested, plus they all get a cookie. (These must be the Mrs. Field's contest cookies).Brady arrives, so does Celeste...and we even see Henderson arrive with Marie, who tells everyone that Victor gave everyone time off to come in and be tested. When Caprice arrives and spots Celeste, she panics and decides to come back later, but Brady sees her, and takes her to be tested. Later Caprice and Celeste accidentally bump into each other. Celeste asks if they know each other, giving her name, but Caprice says no and quickly brushes her off. Belle gets ticked at Shawn. She keeps bringing up the young couple, and Shawn treats it all lightly, saying they must be long gone, and they were undoubtably not aliens.

Lexie shows up at the hospital, wanting to talk to Brandon. She gives him a sob story about how her marriage is over, and Abe doesn't want her anymore, and how much she needs him. Brandon hugs her, with a smirk on his face. She tells Brandon he should work at another hospital, and talks about him coming to work at the Salem Free Clinic, where she has to do her community service. Then they can work together, as they used to. Sami, spying as usual, doesn't like this at all. She runs down to the station, trying to encourage Abe to work things out with Lexie, as neither he or she (Sami) want Lexie in Brandon's bed. Abe tells her it is none of her business, and more or less to get lost. Roman wants to know what Sami is up to, but she brushes him off, and goes out, calling Tony to meet her at the hospital.

AT THE WESLEY HOME
At the Wesley home, the young couple walk up to the door, finding it open and wander around inside. They spot Craig's shirt and Nancy's robe on the floor, pick them up, curious about the items. Just them Nancy comes downstairs, sees the two, screams bloody murder, the girl screams. Craig comes running down the stairs, in his shorts (Yowza, yowza, yowza - lol), finding Nancy on the floor. She tells him there were a couple of streakers (ROTFL) and that the kids ran away. Craig grabs his pants, puts them on (darn!) and goes outside, thinking he sees bushes moving. Nancy calls him back in, telling him her purse is still on the table, but her robe and his shirt and tie are gone. They decide to get dressed to go to the hospital, but Craig says he is reporting the break in.

IN THE PARK, (you are not going to believe this...yes, you will) we see the young man come proudly strolling out of the bushes, wearing Craig's shirt. His legs are in the shirt sleeves, and the body of the shirt trails on the ground behind him. Out comes the girl, with Nancy's robe on backwards, but it is tied at the waist....and looks o.k. (wonder about the back, tho) They sit down on the grass, she pulls out the pic of Shawn & Belle, and daydreams about Shawn give her mouth to mouth, and kisses the photo. The guy notices, grabs the picture, frowns and tears it in half, shaking his head. Then he picks up the Belle half, and does his own daydreaming about mouth to mouth. They each clasp their halves to their chest, smile, then put the 2 halves together. She decides to check out their bag, and pulls out the bottle of wine. Out comes the cork, and she takes a swig, immediately making a face and spitting it out. But she must think it is not really too bad, cause she takes another couple of swallows.....with a big smile on her face.

AT THE COP SHOP
At he cop shop, Roman is on the phone, assuring someone that there have been no reports of UFO sightings, etc. When he hangs up, Bo tells him about the break in at Brady Pub last night, but assures him it was just probably kids. Abe comes in, telling them a new recruit has arrived, (amazing there is no name attached to this new recruit!) trained w/NYPD, but wants to work in the Salem PD. They wonder why, then talk of how new recruits get to choose who they want to work with, and this one chose Roman. (Isn't he a Captain??). They laugh a bit. Roman gets a call from Craig, reporting the break-in at his house, with nothing of value being taken, but it was a couple of young kids....who were practically naked.

BACK AT THE HOSPITAL...
Belle talks to Brady, asking where Caprice is, and remembering how when they were kids, Caprice used to disappear in the middle of the night and they did not where she was (so much for being an everpresent, watchful nanny!). She then talks to Brady about his feelings for Chloe, wondering why he doesn't admit his love for her. Of course Philip overhears this, and goes to Shawn, accusing him of holding out on him. He is yelling, and Shawn tells him that everyone is worried sick about Chloe, but Philip has to make this about him. As Philip starts to deny that statement, he stops, realizing it's true, wondering what is wrong with him, but claiming Brady can have all the feelings he wants for Chloe, he will never get her love.
Then, of course, he later has to rag on Belle for the same thing. (Never learns a lesson, does he?) He storms off, Shawn rushes up, asking if Philip was still upset. Belle is even more upset, says she is afraid for them all, rejects Shawn's hug, and runs off. Craig & Nancy arrive, thanking everyone for all their work, and for being tested, confident they will find a match. She also asks they continue to remember Chloe in their prayers.

Meanwhile, Tony arrives at the hospital, looking for Sami, but sees Lexie and Brandon. He wonders what she is doing there, and tells Brandon he will look after his sister. Brandon protests, but Tony tells him he doesn't care a fig what Brandon thinks. LOL. Sami grabs Brandon, takes him aside, and they argue about Abe, but Brandon is on to her plots, tells her to move on, there is nothing between the two of them any longer.

AT THE LOFT
At he loft, Brady arrives home, picking up the globe, swirling it, setting it on a table, then lays down on the sofa. A voice calls "Brady". He jumps up, looking all over the room, then hears the voice again. He turns, and there is Isabella, standing and smiling. Brady, looking stunned, just says "Mother"?

BACK TO THE HOSPITAL
Tony bumps into John, they mention running into each other again. Tony then says he is there to offer a check, and proceeds to give $50,000 to the Lymphnoma & Leukemia Society. John matches the contribution on behalf on his family and Basic Black. Everyone applauds the generosity, and the two men slowly shake hands, as a "look" passes between them. Craig sees Lexie, and asks if he has to get a restraining order to keep her out of the hospital. Tony protests, and Craig says then she should drop her suit. Tony warns him he may have another suit on his hands, for defamation of character, and Lexie rushes out. Sami seizes the opportunity to ask Tony to meet her outside. She leaves, Tony follows. John spots the two of them, follows, find them out in the alley, and asks what the blazes is going on.

OVER AT HEADQUARTERS....
Bo & Roman are engaging in a bit of small talk, as an officer comes in, saying the new recruit has arrived. Both get smirks on their faces, as they say, bring him in. We see the legs of a uniformed cop walk thru the door, the camera goes up, and the cop salutes, saying, Officer Billie Reed reporting for duty, sir. Bo & Roman both look surprised and puzzled. AND the credits roll.

Directed by: Roger W. Inman
Tape Date: 6/22/02

Billie accuses the Brady boys of being sexist pigs, Sami makes her move on Tony, Isabella visits Brady, Shawn gets an out of this world kiss and the man in black prepares.

THE LOFT
Isabella visits Brady, saying he needs her. He tells himself it's not real, but she tells him she's in his heart and that's why she's there. Clasping his head and turning around, he yells for her to go away as she reaches out for him. He turns and find her gone, wondering why/if she was there and explains it as a delusion. A noise startles him and he sees Isabella holding a picture of Belle and Chloe in their graduation gowns. She comments how lovely Chloe is and they talk about how Chloe has cancer like she had and he asks if Chloe's going to die. She tells him to show Chloe how he feels and not to be afraid and disappears. He puzzles over if what happened was real or not and looks at the picture Isabella was holding, wondering how it got moved. He tells himself that Chloe can't die like his mom did.

THE PARK
Shawn follows an upset Belle into the park as the Wesley-clad aliens watch from nearby. They gaze at the pictures of Belle and Shawn as the female chugs her wine. B&S talk about Philip's outburst and her still tender feelings after the Jan ordeal. He acknowledges and apologizes for taking Belle for granted. She wants a love of her life and she's worried some "out of this world" girl will come take him away from her. They embrace as the female alien motions to her male companion what B&S are doing and sits glumly on the ground. Shawn reassures Belle she's the only one for him and will get her to trust him again, but she's still insecure. The couple fights over the wine bottle and it sails over the bushes near B&S and he holds her down as she's drunk, but she hiccups. When Shawn asks who's there, the male half tosses treasures out of their bag. First a city of Salem DO NOT WALK ON THE GRASS sign, then the cantaloupe. Finally when they know they've been found out, they stand up. Belle and Shawn stare at the couple and giggle a little as the woozy girl sways. The couple giggles back and the girl goes over to Shawn, embraces him and kisses him. Shawn not only doesn't push her away, but kisses back while watching Belle (hello..whatsupwiththat?)

HOSPITAL
Kate arrives to find Marlena opening her mail in the cafeteria. Kate had just gotten tested and they chat about how John publicly embraced Tony Dimera. Marlena asks Kate if John talked with her about it. Before Kate answers, John walks in (after talking with Sami below) and tells Kate that Roman's looking for her, saying it's urgent (how does he know that?). John sits down with Marlena and she questions him about what's going on with him and Tony. She doesn't buy he's sincere in accepting Tony. Looking her in the eye, he tells her he's making it public knowledge that he's not going after Tony, but she's a psychiatrist and should read between the lines. He needs her by his side and asks if she'll stand by him. She agrees to. She finds a huge invitation in her mail. It's a dinner invitation for her and John for that evening at Tony's.

Using the pay phone, Kate calls Roman. He talks about her daughter's new career, not believing she didn't know. He tells Kate he's lonely and for her to come down to the station. She wonders what Billie's up to.

THE ALLEY
John questions Sami and Tony about why they're in the alley. Tony sluffs it off, saying Sami had heard about his and John's social acceptance and wanted to know more about it, as John watches, amused. He pretends to accept Tony's spiel, but privately warns Sami to wake up. Her warns her that he might not be able to bail her out of trouble, so beware. Tony reappears and Sami accepts his help. She wants Brandon back and drooling at her feet. He tells her to consider it done! They return to DiMansion and she can't believe that someone's on her side. He explains how Salem is warm and cozy as long as you're a Horton or a Brady. Everyone else is outside the box and they create the games others must play. He offers her a brandy and she accepts. She's anxious to proceed and get Brandon's affections off of Lexie. She is surprised Tony doesn't mind being used and he commends her attributes and finds her irresistible (yeah, right!). He's going to give a dinner party that night and wants her to be his date. Excited, she leaves to rush home and get glamorous, knowing it's no beer and pizza party. She kisses him on the cheek, saying she owes him for this. Alone, he agrees saying she'll pay for it and so will his dinner guests.

COP SHOP
Bo and Roman question Billie about her career move from cosmetic mogel in Europe to beat cop in Smalltown, USA, LOL. Billie informs them it's no joke, she's very serious about it. She reminds Roman how good she was in Europe when helping him with that ISA case. She went to the police academy in NYC and after September 11th, lost many of the people she had gotten to know. With that incentive, she graduated first in her class. She tells them she wanted to work where her family was, not NYC, and had called Salem to be on their force. Roman asks if there's any other reason for her choosing Salem. She wants to learn from the best she replies. Bo asks why she kept it a secret and she tells him she knows he would have tried to stop her. She didn't even tell her mother. They spelled her name as William Reed on the list, which helped her case to return unannounced. She tells the Brady brothers to stop the sexist attitude and give her the break she earned and deserves! Roman tells Bo she's the first cadet out of the academy with as good a rating as Bo. Kate arrives and Roman comes out of Abe's office (they really need to get Roman his own office, really!). He tells Kate about Billie's career move and she's shocked. He takes her into the office.

Privately inside the office, Bo tells Bille they can't work together with their prior history. She assures him she's not interested in him at all as a man (yeah, what was with the blonde wig at the pub then?). She calls him a sexist pig and tells him to let her join the force. Roman brings a surprised Kate in. Billie can't believe Roman called her mother there and unloads on them about it. She tells them that if it were anyone else, they wouldn't treat them like this. She demands to know if she's got a job or not as Bo and Roman snicker. She tells Bo not to make this a personal issue and get in her way as the credits roll....

FRIDAY, JULY 19th

Episode #: 9351
Directed by: Phil Sogard
Tape Date: Various

Mysterious invitations are delivered around Salem, the alien teens meet some of Salem's nasties with Billie and Roman to the rescue and Tony's dinner party gets underway.

THE PARK
A replay of Shawn and Belle running into the alien teens and the kiss. Shawn pulls away and tries to explain that he and Belle are a couple. The girl moans and turns away when Shawn kisses Belle to demonstrate. Belle tries to show the male half that they want to be friends and to trust them by holding out her hand to him. He takes it and pulls her in for a tight hug. She tells Shawn that he's not going to let her go. Shawn gently takes the guys hands and breaks the embrace as the foursome look at each other. The two guys exchange looks, but B&S show them how friends shake hands. Shawn extends his hand and the male half almost crushes it with his strength. Belle can't believe it's that bad and Shawn pulls her back, alarming the couple who run away in fear. Belle and Shawn chase after them, again. Later B&S are out of breath, saying they chased them to the creek. They worry about the girls open flirtatiousness and the guys strong handshake and what trouble it will cause them.

We find the couple on the infamous Salem pier. He explores the wall phone and drops it when he hears the dial tone. They explore the crates and water (handy their wristbands serve as flashlights being it's dark outside). A gang of 3 guys and 1 gal come down to the pier as one of them had seen the couple. They search for them.

THE PUB
Caroline and Shawn happily greet their granddaughter (Sami) to the pub. They offer her dinner, but she tells them she has a date. Pop goes to get her a soda and a snack (which never arrives) and she sits in a booth with Caroline to chat. Caroline tries to set her up with a friend's grandson who graduated top of his class at Yale (what's with everyone being TOP of the class, how about us middle of the class schmucks??). Sami blows a fuse as she tells Caroline that she already has a guy she's interested in, hates blind dates and doesn't need or want to be fixed up. Caroline insists she's not setting her up and describes Sami as pretty and interesting. Sami notices she doesn't use the terms sweet and charming about her (LOL) and Caroline does an excellent job dealing with Sami's own self-perception. Sami demands she doesn't need to be analyzed by anyone else being her mom's a shrink. She's determined to date who SHE wants. Caroline knows Sami's regressing, not progressing.

Lexie continues to push Brandon to join her at the free clinic. She spots Sami talking to Shawn at the counter and knows Sami's following them. Brandon reminds her that it's the BRADY pub. Lexie pushes Brandon how he needs to get away from the hospital as Sami interrupts. She tells him the kids at the hospital depend on him and cuts down Lexie the manipulator, who says she doesn't have time for this. Brandon in the middle says ENOUGH! He tells Sami it's his decision and he'll do what he wants! Lexie realizes the best way to handle Brandon and doesn't push him. He offers to get Lexie dessert, but she refuses, wanting to fit into her dress later, but tells him to go ahead and have some. They argue over the check and he has two rules. One, never order dessert if the lady doesn't and two, never let a lady pay the bill (guess THEY don't mind ruining their appetite for their own dinner party, ha!). Sami bids them goodbye and a good evening. Lexie rubs Brandon's arm which is on her shoulder and tells Sami she can be damn sure of that. Privately Sami mocks Lexie and knows she herself will have a good evening herself!

Shawn gets his own envelope delivered and distressed, says "Heaven help us" as he shows the envelope to Caroline. Sami overhears them talking and asks about the document. She hopes Stefano left them lots of money, she would like that! (hey Sami, did YOU get one?)

COP SHOP
Roman and Abe talk about Billie as Bo questions Billie in Abe's office. Both figure Billie would be an asset to the department, but not sure how it would affect Bo and his life. It's up to Bo if she works there.

Billie tells Bo she wants a fresh start to do some good in the world. He asks if she remembers what they had together and asks if she's over it. He turns her around and tells her to prove it then (a kiss?) She denies any more feelings for him and tells him he's the only one hooked on himself. If he doesn't like her there, transfer and leave her the hell alone. He tells her about his concern for Hope's reaction to this and she questions if his and Hope's love isn't secure enough? She refers to them as an "oober" couple and he mocks that terminology (is that their version of "super" couple?). Billie repeats she learned a lot in three years and graduating top of the list proves it. She knows the streets of Salem and drug system first hand (that's the truth). Will he let her live her dream or be an ass and....as the door opens with Abe and Roman walking in, wanting to know if Bo will let Billie work there. Bo says okay and they shake hands and the other two welcome her onboard too.

The 3 detectives talk about the mysterious teen couple that reports are coming in about. Bo tells them about what Shawn and Belle told them. Billie interrupts with reports of loud noises and broken glass at the pier (what, no DISPATCH in Salem PD to take those calls and dispatch patrol cars there?) Roman heads to the door and tells the rookie to come with him.

At the pier, the teen gang doesn't see the teens and go to leave as the girl rattles something and the punks return to have some fun with them. Billie and Roman arrive (he's driving) and spend a valuable few minutes chit chatting in the car talking about their history together. They finally head out together to check out the pier as the gang plans to get rough with the non-speaking duo.

Back at the cop shop, Bo helps Abe who walks in with an armload of video tapes and folders. They're the surveillance tapes from the hospital. Bo offers to review them for Abe (I would think NEITHER of them should be involved being their babies were the ones switched), but Abe wants to get this matter solved quickly and tells Bo to go home. Bo is hysterical as he demonstrates to Abe how he'll tell Hope about Billie's return and joining the force. Alone in his office, Abe stares at Isaac's picture on his desk. Isaac's happiness is all that matters and he knows Lexie is lost without him.

THE PENTHOUSE
Our first view of the building where John and Marlena live. (it's about 30 stories tall! Just how did Stefano survive that fall off their terrace years ago, LOL?) Marlena clearly doesn't want to go to Tony's dinner party, but John will go alone if need be, but wants her by his side if possible. Ding dong, delivery. They each get a mysterious envelope as John tips the doorman for bringing it up and warns him to make sure there's an elevator in that shaft (good reminder in THAT building). John has an idea of what it is and they each open their respective envelopes. It's an invitation to Stefano's memorial service and the reading of his will. Apparently they're both mentioned in it. Marlena does not want anything of Stefano's and reminds John it's not like a subpoena where they have to go. It feels like a setup to her and she doesn't want to go, but John does (big surprise there, ey?).

Later, Belle and Shawn are in the living room as John and Marlena come downstairs. John's in a tux and Marlena in a black long sleeveless gown. John tells the teens $$ is on the counter by the fridge if they want to eat at the pub or order pizza in. (It's dark outside, which is at least 8:30-9 pm in summertime. Tony has late dinner parties!) They explain they're just going to grab dinner somewhere (yeah, my folks use to dress like that and pop out to dinner all the time too, haha). Marlena notices Belle's a little feverish when she kisses her goodnight and John kids if they've been chasing aliens again. The teens shine it off and bid the Black's a good evening as Belle shoos them out the door. At the elevator John realizes the evening won't be a laugh a minute, but interesting.

Belle orders a 1/2 cheese, 1/2 pepparoni pizza. They decide to go hunt for the couple again after they eat and she teases him about the kiss he got from the female half. He teases back and says he's not sure if the girl was from outer space now. She asks why and he said judging by the way the girl kissed, he thinks she's French. She slaps him playfully and they kiss.

DIMANSION
Lexie comes downstairs and answers the door to find Brandon. He's in his tux and brought a bottle of wine ('98 vintage). They head for the dining room, expecting only Tony to join them, when the doorbell rings. Iliana answers it and it's John and Marlena. Lexie is surprised and asks what they're doing there as Iliana answers the door again to find Sami (in a white long gown) there. Sami's surprised to see her mother there.

BRADY HOME
Hope plays with Zack and assures him that as a family, they can overcome anything. An envelope is delivered to her and she opens the "fancy smancy" envelope to be shocked at it's contents. Bo arrives home and she gives him the invitation to Stefano's memorial service to read. He's upset at first, but thinks maybe this might bring closure. She doesn't buy that, there's no such thing as closure with the Dimeras. She doesn't want any more outsiders interfering in their lives. Bo looks down at her and she senses something's wrong and asks what. He tells her about Billie's return to Salem (but not that she's on the force yet). Hope's eyebrows dance about a little... as the credits roll....
