Episode No.: 9284
Directed by Phil Sogard
Tape Date: various
Summary: Belle mopes over Shawn. Philip, Chloe and Mimi become more suspicious. Jan loses the baby. Kevin Eubanks guests stars as Jack, Harold and Greta become showgirls. The best thing about this show (IMO) was seeing Bill and Susan Hayes' names in the credits (meaning that Doug and Julie return this week).
At the Penthouse
Belle is lying on the bed thinking of Shawn. She pops in her video
and is shocked to see Philip and Cynthia stripping (we don't see
much, however, thanks to a HUGE plant in the line of view, LOL). She
is shocked as she thinks of Philips betrayal being similar to
Shawn's. After being at Salem Place and spotting Chloe and Philip,
Brady returns home to find Caprice and they catch up. She tells him
that Belle needs him. Back upstairs, an upset Belle finally turns off
the video. Brady comes by and finds her crying. He tries to console
her, saying that he has something that will help and goes to get it.
While she goes to the bathroom, Shawn calls and gets her answering
machine. She walks in to hear the last part of it, but when she picks
up the phone, he is hanging up. (He got a page to get to the
hospital). Brady returns just as Belle is stomping back to the
bathroom. He sees the video and pops it in, but she stops him and
tells him that it was an episode of 'Friends' that she and Shawn had
watched together and that is why she is upset. He brought her a book,
'Peter Pan', her favorite as a child, and they talk about how they
used to act it out. (Supposedly how he gave her the nickname,
Tinkerbell). He tries to comfort her and tells her that she has to
let Shawn go. She tells him about the phone call and that she feels
like dying because Shawn doesn't care as much as her. Caprice comes
by with cookies that she just made and Belle decides that they need
ice cream too and goes to get it. Brady thanks Caprice for being so
good to Belle. He asks her about her "mystery man" but she turns the
tables on him and asks just who he is pining for. She tells him that
it is time for him to find out if she loves him as well.
At Salem Place
Chloe and Philip are still sitting on the bench and he offers to walk
her home, but she isn't ready to leave. He is happy to have the
Cynthia episode behind them. As the talk, Brady sees them from afar
and then heads on home. Philip tries to plan their date, but Chloe
changes her mind and wants to call it off. Philip begs her as he gets
down on one knee and speaks in a hokey English accent. She deduces
that he must have seen 'Kate and Leopold'. Elsewhere, Mimi dogs
Shawn, demanding to know what is going on and just WHY he jumped in
the sack with a "whore" like Jan. How could he do that to Belle? He
(lamely) tries to explain, but Mimi isn't buying it and becomes
suspicious. He says that Jan and the baby need him. While Mimi is
chewing his butt out, Chloe and Philip walk up and completely agree
with her. Shawn feels as if the world is against him and leaves,
needing to talk to Belle (this is when he calls her). After he
leaves, Phil, Chloe and Mimi are all suspicious and sure that
something strange is going on. They all feel sorry for Belle as
Philip suggests that they go by and see her and try to cheer her up.
But, Chloe isn't feeling well so Philip offers to walk her home. They
all decide to visit Belle later.
Over at Salem University Hospital
Hope rushes in to find Bo who fills her in about what happened with
Jan. Hope calls home and leaves a message for Shawn to come to the
hospital immediately. Colin examines Jan and we learn that medication
has stopped the contractions for the moment. In the lobby, he talks
with Bo and Hope as they inform him that Shawn is the father. He
seems a bit shocked by this tidbit (remember, he thinks Jan was
raped). They question him, but he refuses to betray doctor/patient
confidence. Bo tries to get him to explain, but Colin is called away
for an emergency. Shawn rushes in, thinking that there is a problem
with JT. They tell him about Jan and try to assure him that she is
okay. Colin returns and tells them that she lost the baby. Bo and
Hope try to console him, but he becomes agitated and storms off.
And then there's Las Vegas (oh, brother)
There is a replay of everyone catching up with Jack and the big
reveal that Oliver Wentworth is Harold's father. (Big surprise there,
huh?) Oliver is curious as to how Jack and Harold know each other as
Harold says that he knows the REAL Jack. Jack sees the goons after
him, but they don't see him and leave. Oliver invites Brandon and
Jennifer to the dress rehearsal to his show (which Harold designed
the costumes) and they gladly accept. After they leave, Jack thanks
Harold for not exposing him. But Harold says he is not going to lie
to his father. Jack is coming out of the closet, like it or not. They
all join back up, but Harold has an emergency with the costumes. Jenn
is sure that Jack is going down this time. Greta reminds Jack that
they still have the money and need to get rid of it. The goons come
back, but are chased away by the stage manager. Jack pleads with
Greta to go along with his lies just one more day, but she urges him
to tell the truth. Jenn asks: The truth about what? When he refuses
to answer, she tells him that all his schemes and lies are going to
catch up with him. Oliver has to give a speech, but is upset with the
material he has been given. Jenn offers to punch it up for him. She
is excited to have the opportunity of writing again and goes to work.
Jack spots the goons again, posing as stagehands this time, and
panics. When Jenn finishes, she is proud of her work and goes to the
front desk to get it copied for her portfolio. While there, she asks
the desk clerk about Colin and learns that he has checked out. She
assumes he is on his honeymoon. Jack and Greta explain to Harold
about the money and the goons that are after them. He refuses to help
until one of the showgirls tells him about overhearing this scary
looking stagehand talking about how after the show, they are going to
take out all three of them, the jerk, the babe and Mr. Sequins. Jack
convinces that "Mr. Sequins" is him (Harold). Harold has a plan. Back
in the audience, Oliver is impressed with Jenn's work as the stage
manager brings over Kevin Eubanks (from the Tonight Show). He is
referred to as "Eubie Banks" but insists that Jenn and Brandon call
him "Eubie". Jenn gets autographs for both her and Abby. As he leaves
to begin rehearsal, he calls Jenn and Brandon his "dogs" which
Brandon has to explain to Jenn. (Dogs = friends). She can't wait to
tell Abby that she is Eubie's "dog" (LOL). The dress rehearsal starts
and the music blares as the "Wentworth Dolls" are introduced. They
dance out onto the stage, followed by Greta, Harold and Jack (all
dressed in sequins and feathers). Harold and Greta fall somewhere in
the middle of the pack but Jack ends up on the front row (dancing
completely goofy and out of step) as Jenn's spots him, her eyes bulge
and her jaw drops...and the credits roll.

Episode #: 9285
Directed by: Herb Stein
Tape Date: Various
SUMMARY:
Doug and Julie return (yippee!) to help the Brady's with their
current dilemma, Shawn goes to church for answers and Bo finds him
there, and finally, JACK admits he's not gay. Kudos to Peter (Bo),
Kristian (Hope) and Jason (Shawn) for such a great job today!
BABY MANIA
Abe and Lexie talk about the notice they got for Bo and Hope suing
for custody. As usual, he wants them to be a team and act within the
law, but she has hired Cameron to represent them. He puts Isaac in
his playpen and asks her to come out of her DiMera persona and
reminds her they're Carvers and need to act as such. Little Isaac
talks away in the background, haha, as the two argue the usual
argument. Later she overhears Abe talking to Isaac about how he and
his mama differ in how they should handle this and she refuses to
lose Isaac and will do things HER way.
Bo and Hope wonder where Shawn is. Doug and Julie rush in (hey, welcome back you two..we missed ya!!) saying they looked at all of Shawn's favorite spots for him, but want to know what's wrong as Hope didn't tell them on the phone. Later we come back to Doug comforting his little girl after learning what's going on. Julie accidentally knocks the mail on the floor while getting up and they find an envelope from Pepperdine University (Malibu) addressed to Shawn. Bo takes the envelope and goes to look for Shawn as Doug and Julie comfort Hope, who breaks down worrying about her son(s). She tells them how she held Isaac the other day and knew he was her flesh and blood. Doug tells her the one good thing about this as she can now stop blaming herself for JT's Fetal Alcohol Syndrome. She comments how Isaac is perfectly healthy and Doug asks who the father is. Hope said she knows it's not Bo, although she can hope and pray he is (try a DNA test, just for grins). They talk about how great Bo is handling this situation and she tells them about her white flashes and not knowing what they mean. Doug asks if she's seen a doctor about these flashes and she admits only telling Bo about the first few times. She admits seeing a white glove. Julie figures she needs to see a therapist, but not Marlena as she's too close to the situation. Doug feels she needs to talk to Bo about it, and right away. Julie agrees she and Bo should work together to get Isaac back. Doug tells her that she and Bo are a good mystery team and will figure it out. Hope goes upstairs to sleep.
We find Shawn in church talking to God about Jan's baby and JT. He breaks down saying he can't lose both of them and asks for God's help. He asks God to help him keep his brother and then rips off the cross he wears..asking why he should make any deals with him as he never keeps his end of the bargain. He's angry and argues out loud what he's done and gone through and now this is the result. He's mad as hell and not going to accept it. He asks God if he's there in church or watching from a distance as family's fall apart. (boy, he reminds me of a young Tom Cruise in every way!) Bo walks in and tries to comfort Shawn and rationalizes how Glen wants his own son and how his mother wants her own son. Shawn doesn't want a "lecture", but Bo stops him and said they'll have a "discussion" then. Bo tells his son he's being arrogant and lacking one trait..humility. He quotes the poem for God to grant him the courage to change the things he can, the humility to accept the things he can't and the wisdom to know the difference. Bo tells him they have to stand together and not push each other away. Bo admits this is tearing him apart too, but they have to move forward and as a family. Shawn tells him their family will never be the same without JT. Bo agrees, but reminds him they are still a family. Bo tells him about the letter from Pepperdine, thinking he was accepted, but Shawn doesn't want to go to college. Bo suggests they go home and Shawn isn't ready to, but Bo asks if he wants to spend what remaining time they have with JT together. Shawn agrees and arm in arm they walk out together.
LAS VEGAS
Jenn and Brandon sit at a table in the showroom, anxious for
rehearsal to start. The goons put their silencers on their guns and
make ready to take Jack out and grab the money as the rehearsal
starts. Jack, Greta and Harold join the rest of the purple boaed
dancers and a loooong segment of the calamity on stage as Jack tries
to dance complaining about the heels and Harold's father is wowed how
much Harold reminds him of his mother (oh paleez). Only the goons
don't see who the tall red headed dancer is as Jenn and Brandon
realize what's going on. Brandon watches the goon while Jenn dashes
back stage. A wig or something is tossed around between the dancers
and bedlam occurs with Jack, Greta and some other dancers falling off
the stage. Jack recognizes Eubie Banks and tells him he's one of his
biggest fans. Harold tells Eubie that Jack's a closet case and got a
thing for Eubie. Eubie (Kevin Eubanks from The Tonight Show), tells
Jack he's already taken with "Jay" every night and loyal to him,
LOL.
The stage director tells them to get rid of that crazy broad (Jack). One goon asks Jack if he's okay and realizes it's Jack, not a dancer and goes for his briefcase. They wrestle over it and it gets tossed in the air, on a stage prop. Jack jumps up to get it and the other goon raises the prop higher with Jack hanging from it. The other goon goes to shoot Jack and Brandon tackles and fights him, but the shot hits the cord Jack's prop is hanging from and he falls with the briefcase. The other goon goes to shoot him and Oliver, Greta and Harold (hiding behind Oliver) just stand there as Jenn rushes backstage and drops a heavy prop on the goons head, knocking him out next to Jack. Jack grabs the briefcase from him, then collapses in the goons arms. Afterwards the law is there and wants to get statements. Jenn pushes Jack towards the stage and demands he tell her whether he's gay or not. He's either lied to her or to Greta. Jack turns and shouts he is NOT gay, not realizing he's doing so in a live microphone as it's broadcast all over the room...as the credits roll

Episode #: 9286
Tape date : Various
Directed by Randy Robbins
The teens receive news of college acceptances, Craig gives a preliminary diagnosis, and Jack suffers the fallout from his announcement. Kudos to Melissa Reeves & Matt Ashford today, as J&J get really serious.
THE KIRIAKIS MANSION
Henderson comes in (hey, good to see him for a change) announcing the
arrival of Kate Roberts, who wants to know what has happened to
Philip, since he called her over. In comes Philip, with a big grin,
telling his parents he was accepted at Columbia. They both
congratulate him, but Vic isn't too happy, asking about the other
colleges. Philip replies oh, yeah, he got accepted by them all. Yale,
Salem U (Uh, ohSalem U? that is gonna tell the tale eventually) &
Vic obviously wants Phil to go to Yale. Philip protests, Kate tries
to back him up, but Vic says he won't pay for Philip to go to
Columbia. Philip proceeds to blast his dad, for being hypocritical.
One minute wanting Philip to be a responsible adult, and the next
treating him like a child incapable of such, and refers to Victor
asking Nik to marry him and telling Philip to just accept it. Kate is
surprised, but Vic says, No, he is not marrying Nicole. Philip tells
him this is his life, his choices, and not Victor's. He leaves.
(Isn't it wonderful all these prestigious schools accepted Salem's
teens, who rarely go to school? LOL) Later, Victor calls Nicole,
setting up something for tomorrow morning at 8 a.m. in his office,
not Nicole's.
THE WESLEY HOME
Nancy comes downstairs, clearly worried, as Craig arrives home. He
tells her that Chloe's test results have come in, and she is anemic,
however, he is running some further tests. Nancy gets upset, but
Craig assures her he is just being thorough. Upstairs, Chloe is
asleep, when there is a tap at her window. It is Brady, who is coming
to check that she is o.k, and got home safely. She assures him she is
just tired, so he insists she go back to bed, covers her up, and
leans in for a kiss. Whoops..Chloe sits up wide awake. Twas all a
dream. Downstairs, Philip arrives at the door, wanting to see Chloe.
Nancy is unsure about letting him in, but Chloe comes downstairs.
Nancy calls Craig to see if Chloe is O.K., but Chloe, as always,
tells her to quit fussing. Phil asks about Julliard, but she hasn't
heard, however no one got the mail yet, so everyone goes out on porch
where Chloe retrieves her acceptance notice from Julliard. Everyone
congratulates her, then Phil tells her about being accepted at
Columbia, and they both will be in NY. Chloe has to go to another
audition, for a Master class, the only reason she wanted Julliard was
to get into this class. They go up to Chloe's room, and Phil is still
talking about NY. They kiss, and then get really into it. Chloe
finally pulls away, but Phil tells her all he wants is a chance for
their future together.
THE PENTHOUSE
John & Marlena arrive home, and immediately go into a clinch,
only to be surprised by a voice saying "Some things never change".
Tis Caprice, and they all greet one another, with Caprice explaining
she was able to get an earlier flight, thus arrived sooner than
expected. They chatter, babble and catch up. They talk of the kids
(with John saying they talk of Caprice all the time (HUH?) and
Marlena mentions Belle being the only child she was able to raise
from babyhood (O.K. I don't know how Deidre kept a straight face
saying these lines, since Belle was gifted with SORAS*see
below) Upstairs, Belle bemoans having watched that video, when
Brady comes in. He reminds her of what week in April this is &
Belle exclaims about taxes, when she suddenly remembers the college
letters should be out. They go downstairs, and Marlena immediately
asks her about the scratch on her cheek (thank goodness SOMEONE
noticed at last) but Belle brushes it off as nothing. She finds
acceptances to Columbia, Salem U. She mentions wondering if Shawn got
accepted to Pepperdine, and finds her own acceptance there, which she
later dumps into the waste basket. Later, they are all pretending to
eat ice cream, talking about Belle at college. Brady says he has a
change coming, too. John asks if he is thinking of leaving BB, but
Brady says, no, he loves his job (WHAT? You mean he actually does go
to work there? Hmmmm?) But Brady is evasive about his plans, not
wanting to jinx them, and promises to talk w/John about it
tomorrow.
LAS VEGAS REVISITED
A replay of Jack admitting he is not gay over the loudspeaker. Jenn
looks at Greta, and everyone in the room closes in and surrounds
Jack, as he sits down on the stairs. (???? Only a few people knew of
his deception, so why EVERYONE). Jenn is angry, Oliver is confused,
about the situation, says Jack cannot be gay cause he was engaged to
Greta. She apologizes, and runs off with Brandon following, trying to
comfort her. She is feeling very sorry for herself, and how easily
she was duped (C'mon, Greta, Jack tried to tell you numerous times
and you would not let him, insisting he was denying himself). Jack
and Jennifer get into a very emotional confrontation, made all the
more poignant as Jack is still in his showgirl makeup, minus the wig.
Jenn berates him for hurting both Greta and Harold, and accuses him,
rightly so, of only using Greta to get the job. They talk about the
shower scene, with Jack telling her how much he loves her. Jenn tries
at first to deny she was deceptive, too, but does admit it. She reams
Jack out because of all the people he has hurt with his little white
lie. Jack blurts out that Jenn is the love of his life, and Jenn says
the same goes for you. Jack makes her realize what she has said, and
she says she is ashamed of herself for feeling that way and allowing
him to always get to her.
Oliver asks Harold (who is now changed into regular clothes) what is
going on. Harold tells Jack he is glad Jack is heterosexual, as he
would be a very poor example of a gay person. Oliver reminds Jack
that he told him he wanted a straight shooter for the job, and since
he has shown he is not, he will never work for him. Greta comes up to
Jack to tell him off, but slaps him across the face, saying that says
it all. Eubie Banks tells him he will see to it that Jack will never
sit in the chair next to Jay. Then Jenn tells him she never wants to
see him, hear his voice, have him touch her. Then, very sadly, says,
" goodbye, Jack". Everyone leaves, the lights begin to go out, but a
spot light remains on Jack. The entire stage goes black, and the
camera pulls away up high, with Jack, still in the showgirl makeup,
spotlighted, standing alone. (This scene is heartbreaking, and very
reminiscent of Pagliaci Laugh, Clown, Laugh)

FYI...S O R A S is Soap Opera Rapid Aging Syndrome, applied to people like Belle, Brady, Philip, who were aged 10 years or so in a couple weeks.

Episode #: 9287
Directed by: Herb Stein
Tape Date: 3/26/02
SUMMARY: All in Salem today as Belle and Shawn see each other for the first time since Las Vegas, Victor and Nicole clash, Bo and Hope grab a cuppa at Java cafe, the tape is being delivered and Jan tells Shawn that Belle was responsible for her losing the baby.
SALEM PLACE
Doug and Julie babysit their grandson (we don't see them) while Bo
and Hope do some shopping. Bo and Hope stop at Java cafe for a cup of
coffee (note the convenient bags on the chair in front of Hope's
stomach). Roman stops by and they admit being worried about Shawn. Bo
tells him about how devastated Shawn was when he found him in church
last night and they're all praying for a miracle to keep JT. Hope
wants to join Shawn at the hospital, but Bo feels they should respect
Shawn's wishes to visit Jan alone. Hope feels for the baby who didn't
stand a chance, but Bo quotes Mrs. H. that the baby is now safe in
God's arms. Hope admits being so wrapped up with everything she
hadn't thought what Abe and Lexie are going through after getting the
papers served to them the night before. She feels for them as at
least they have Shawn but they won't have any other children left. Bo
tells her Isaac belongs with his birth mother. They talk about JT and
how much they love him. She changes the subject and tells him about
the white flashes she's having. He pauses and admits he's had them
too.
Roman runs into Caroline, also at Salem Place. They talk about Sami and both would love to know what happened in that bride's room before the wedding. There's got to be a way Roman figures. They feel Austin is still protecting Sami and calling him won't help. Roman fears Sami was pretending to change persona for Austin and now that she lost him, she's even more screwed up now then before.
Roman and Caroline stop by Bo and Hope's table and Caroline offers her help and prayers. They leave and B&H are thankful for their family. Wanting to make the most of their time with JT, they decide to take him to the zoo. She took him there a couple weeks ago on her own and he loved the monkeys.
WAITING FOR THE TAPE
Kate arrives at Lucas' apartment to see if Austin's package with the
tape arrived and what will happen if they don't get it. Kate brought
breakfast (looks like Buddy's Burger Barn, haha) as they sit down to
drink OJ and eat while she fills him in on what happened at Victor's
the night before. Kate says Victor doesn't tolerate infidelity, even
in thought. She knows Nicole was interested in Austin and Victor does
too.
Down the hall Sami is anxiously watching for the overnight delivery guy. She calls Brandon at the hospital and learns he's not there, realizing he's still with the "ice princess" Jennifer in Vegas. She has an idea. We next see Sami swapping the apartment door numbers between her and Lucas' apartment doors, LOL! She sees the Spectator on the floor in front of Lucas' door, figuring he hasn't gotten up yet (why didn't Kate pick it up on her way in?) and starts to pry the last digit off his door as Lucas opens it. He doesn't see what she was up to, but figures she was stealing the newspaper. She covers (being he saw her knife in her hand) that Will forgot his video game and she was setting the table when he asked for it. He checks and tells her it's not there and she leaves.
Later Sami keeps Lucas busy answering his phone while she swaps the number. She's calling on her cell phone in her pocket and headset pretending to be the courier service verifying someone's there to sign for the package (they can't hear her through the door?) which is about to be delivered.
Lucas and Kate are excited and see the courier truck out the window (as does Sami) and they both anxiously await its delivery. The courier dashes for the elevator and Roman's in it. He asks which floor and learns the package is for Austin Reed. Roman offers to sign for it as he knows him real well.
TITAN
Victor is joined by Nicole (remember the goon who blew up the drug
dealers house for Victor a few years ago?) as they prepare to get rid
of Nicole. Victor informs Nicole that he wants the pleasure of taking
care of Ms. Walker on his own then Nicole will clean up the mess.
Victor walks in and tells her how disappointed he is in her and is
terminating their relationship permanently. She tells them they're
still a good team and were never officially engaged, but he starts
stroking her arms and works up to her neck, proceeding to start
strangling her until she collapses on the floor. Back to reality
(phew..it was just Nicole's vivid imagination that happened), Victor
walks in, just as angry as she pictured, but he tells her she's
fired. Nicole is there to escort her out. (why did he need Nicole?
Isn't Titan security good enough for THAT?) Hold on Vic, Nicole's not
had her say yet! He figures she'd be happy to be set free to run
after Austin. She takes pleasure telling him she could have, but
didn't. She got to work at dawn to prepare her report, but she AND
the Permalash campaign are out of Titan if she leaves. Maybe she'll
go across the street to Basic Black as she and John get along just
fine and Kate can come back to Titan and he and Kate can kill each
other for all she cares. He doesn't believe her and she shows him the
report and agreement that Carl stipulated for Austin to be in NYC and
her at Titan for the deal to go through. The Permalash account means
nothing to Titan he claims, but she knows losing it to Basic Black
does, what's his choice? He considers letting her stay if she meets
certain conditions. He reminds her he's the boss and will be treated
as such. She's also to keep all communication with Austin long
distance as there will be no Sex in the City nonsense smearing
Titan's name. She reminds him she has $5 mil in the bank (should have
accrued SOME interest by now, don't ya think?) and doesn't need the
job. He reminds her she likes the excitement. She asks for a raise,
then decides to return his ring to him. He tells her to keep the
ring, consider it her raise. Outside he laughs telling Nicole that
Nicole's staying and he hasn't had as much fun since watching Kate
sling hash at the Hudson Street Diner.
SALEM UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL
Shawn goes to the hospital to visit Jan. We see Jan waking up (on
pink hospital sheets) realizing she lost her baby (that she couldn't
wait to get rid of a few weeks ago). Shawn asks a nurse, who's
wheeling a new mother and baby somewhere, for Jan's room location and
sees Belle and Mimi in their candy striper uniforms pushing around a
book cart (hey, I did that in high school too!) He says Belle's name
as they exchange looks. The nurse offers Jan counseling, but Jan
tells her the baby's dead and she's never going through that hell
again. When told she can go home today, Jan worries where she'll go
now. Her mother probably changed the locks and after losing the baby,
figures the Brady's won't want her.
Shawn asks to speak with Belle and she tells Mimi to go ahead with the cart and she'll catch up, then remember her talk with Jan the day before at the Bradys. He wants to tell her what happened to Jan. Jan sees Shawn and Belle outside her room and fears they're getting back together. Voice quivering, Belle tells him it's over and to stay away from her. She wants to enjoy the rest of her senior year and is going away to college without him. She doesn't want to see him again and walks away before he told her anything.
Mimi finds Belle upset in the locker room and comforts her. She tells Belle about getting accepted to Salem U and got financial aid through them. Belle tells her about Columbia and feels getting away will help.
Shawn visits Jan, who's plotting how to keep him without the baby. She acts needy and he promises to be there for her (sucker!). He tells her what happened wasn't anybody's fault and she tells him it wasn't an accident, it was Belle's fault, she's the one who made her lose her baby as the credits roll.

Episode #: 9288
Directed by: Phil Sogard
Tape Date: VARIOUS
Summary: Greta bids a tearful farewell to Salem after letting John off the hook. Jack grovels for his job. Chloe sees the video. Jan lies to Shawn, who in turn confronts Belle.
Back in Salem
Jack is back in town, wandering Salem Place, feeling sorry for all he
has done, saying that he has lost everything. He sits down, having
flashbacks of his Vegas adventure, ending with Greta slapping him and
Jenn telling him off. He says that he can't let Abigail and Jennifer
down and has an idea. He calls Oliver Wentworth and grovels for the
job with the Spectator. Oliver turns him down flatly, telling him
that he has already decided on someone to take over the editor's job
(any guesses???)
Jenn and Greta are also home discussing what happened as Greta mopes around. She tells Jenn that she will never find love, 3 strikes for her so far. She says that each time she lost the guy to a blonde (Eric to Nicole, Austin to Sami, Now Jack to Jenn) and thinks that maybe she should dye her hair, LOL. Jenn tries to cheer her up, telling Greta that she is sure that her prince is out there somewhere. Alice comes by, wanting to hear all about Vegas. Greta tells them that she has someone to go and see and it concerns her father. After she leaves, Jenn tells Alice it was all Jack's fault.
Over at Basic Black
John and Brady are working and talk about what a good job Brady is
doing. They talk about various things, including Belle going away to
college. This leads to talk about Chloe. When asked, Brady denies
that he has a thing for her, calling her a kid. (John thinks he
denies it a bit too much). Brady informs him that he has other plans
than to follow Chloe to New York. When John asks, Brady just tells
him he will find out later. After Brady leaves, Greta comes by to see
John. They talk about her childhood and how much he has always meant
to her. She tells him that she always thought of him as a father (and
wishes he was), but he is not. He tells her that she is a wonderful
person but as she starts to tell him goodbye, she begins to cry (not
sure if these were "Greta's" tears or Julianne's). She tells him she
is leaving town. He takes her in his arms and tells her that he will
always love her. Later, John visits Brady and tells him about Greta
leaving. He leads John to think HE is leaving as well. He admits he
plans on moving out and shows him something on the computer. We,
however, don't see it.
Later, Back at Jenn's
Greta is lugging her suitcases down the stairs. Abby, Jenn and Alice
all say their tearful goodbyes. Greta gives Abby one of her tiaras as
a keepsake. After "Princess Abigail" puts on her crown, Greta talks
about how far she has come since Bo brought her to Salem (accompanied
by flashbacks however, Eric seems to be obviously missing from them.
Most of them are of her with Bo and John). She tells them that she
has a lot of things to think about, but her first priority is to deal
with her father (so, I guess that means we will NEVER learn who it
is). She hugs Alice and thanks her for taking her in and loving her.
Lots more tears and goodbyes and out the door she goes only to run in
to Jack. She tells him that she is leaving, which saddens him and he
apologizes for hurting her. She says that she can't forgive him now,
but maybe someday. With that, she turns and leaves. Back inside,
Oliver calls Jenn, complimenting her on her speech she wrote for him.
He says he has a surprise for her and will call her later. (a job
offer, perhaps???)
At Salem University Hospital
Jan tells Shawn that Belle caused her to lose the baby and she can
prove it (although she never does explain this). Shawn can't believe
it as Jan spins her version of what happened (even though we see the
REAL flashbacks). She swears it was all Belle's fault and eventually,
Jan's lies convince him. She tells Shawn that she is all alone and
has no one to turn to (insert sad face here). Shawn tells her that
she can live with them (what a dumbass). He tells her to rest, he
will be back later. But first, he has something to take care of.
After leaves, Jan smiles from ear to ear.
Down at dotCom
Mimi is being harassed by Cynthia about the video. Philip overhears,
calling Cynthia a "bitch". He is furious with her and tells her that
he and Chloe are getting back together, despite the video. After
Cynthia leaves, Mimi asks him if it is true, and if so, how does
Brady feel about all this? Mimi tells Philip he is living in a dream
world.
Over at the Penthouse
Chloe comes by to talk about their college acceptance letters, but
Belle thinks she is there about the video. They are both excited
about being in NYC. Chloe tells her about Philip going too, as he was
accepted at Columbia. Belle acts strange which prompts Chloe to ask
about the video. Belle admits to watching part of it and Chloe
demands to see it. They end up in Belle's room, with Chloe tearing
the place apart looking for it. She finds it and pops it in the VCR,
with Belle begging her not to watch. She watches a little bit of it,
then storms off. Belle chases after her, but runs into Shawn in the
hallway. Chloe goes storming in to dotCom and stomps over to Philip,
telling her to never call her again. She never wants to see his face
and slaps the CRAP out of him. Back in the hallway, Shawn confronts
Belle, demanding an explanation. She tells him that she doesn't want
to talk to him and then he tells her that he found out that she
killed Jan's baby. Shocked look on Belle's face, as the credits
roll.
