All sorts of surprises at the Brady home, Tony learns the secret
to his past and wishes he hadn't now, Lexie's pregnant, but who's
the daddy?? (hmmm where have I heard that before??).
Surprise Surprise And More Surprises
Shawn and Belle arrive to study for finals at his house. Both are
sick of studying (when DO they study?) and she figures his
parents will check up on them all the time, but he tells her his
parents are gone. They walk into a dark house and he flips the
lightswitch to see balloons and a birthday banner. He's planned a
delayed 18th birthday party (for two) for Belle. He has a special
glittery tiera for her and puts it on her head (shades of
Princess Gina, Dollar Store style, LOL). Being finals are coming
up, she's touched he went to so much trouble. He got her Moulin
Rouge (which she couldn't even drag him to the theatre to see)
for them to watch and gives her a present (in a small box). He
talks about how he never gave her his class ring and wanted
something more lasting and for her. She opens the box and finds
an opal ring. He slips it on her right pinkie finger, hoping it
fits (where's the ring Mimi gave her?). The jeweler told him opal
is a sign of love and hope. When his mother was missing, she gave
him hope (ironic it's his mother's NAME too, LOL) She had told
him to hang in there and he hung on to her. He thanks her for
being there for him and never wants to let her go.
The Blue Note
We return to Bo and Hope dancing at the Blue Note as Bo serenades
Hope with a few lines from the song (his real life wife) Kelly
Moneymaker sings on the show today. Aww, how sweet. He suggests
they go home, but she tells him that she's happy there. He
rephrases it to let's go home and to bed, but Hope tells him they
can't. Cue surprised look on Bo's face. She tells him she
promised Shawn they wouldn't be home before midnight and why (Belle's
surprise party). Shawn didn't think he could pull it off at the
dorm, so she told him to use their house.
Back To The Birthday Party
We see her birthday cake..top half a snowman with the I LOVE YOU
note on it. Later he spins her for pin the post-it on the donkey,
but helps her cheat so she can win. Her prize is a mystery cd
that he puts on to play. It's one of her favorite songs (sorry,
not familiar with it, but female singer starting out with a lot
of tick-tocks and first line is Come inside my world and plan to
stay). The two start dancing and Belle tells him she has
something for him as the song fits their mood as they fall on the
couch kissing and well, you know. Later we return to them still
on the couch still at it as they tell each other they love each
other and she asks if he has..and he says yes. He pulls off his
shirt (were they watching Brandon and Sami (see below) and he
hears his parents car door. The two panic and he puts back on his
shirt as Belle hurriedly turns on the tv and hands him a plate
with cake on it. Bo and Hope walk in to find them eating cake
watching tv..a infomercial on insta-grow fertilizer, LOL! The two
wise parents know what's going on and Bo has a hard time wiping
the grin off his face as Shawn puts a pillow on his lap..(I'm
dying here..how many of us can relate??) Belle's hair is rumpled
up (the bed head look). The teens look guilty as sin as they're
questioned about what they were doing. Belle tells them they were
about to watch the video Shawn gave her, but didn't realize it
was so late. Belle offers them some cake and Hope asks how they
liked the cake and tells Belle she made it. S&B start
cleaning up and go into the kitchen. Hope starts to follow, but
Bo pulls her back and reminds her how they celebrated HER 18th
birthday. The kids are in love and if it hasn't happened already,
it will. They have to trust Shawn will be responsible and
suggests they head up to bed. They call out goodnight to Shawn
and Belle as Hope reluctantly lets Bo take her upstairs. Shawn
and Belle hug. He promises to find the perfect time and place,
for them.
Hospital
As Abe and Lexie happily kiss, we see flashback of Lexie learning
she's pregnant. Brandon is NOT happy about Abe and Lexie together
and stops them, suggesting Lexie reconsider. Sami pulls him away,
wanting Lexie to leave with Abe. Lexie asks Abe to let her have a
couple minutes with Brandon before they go. She assures him she
and Brandon are just friends and Brandon's with Sami now. Abe
just doesn't want to see her hurt, but agrees. Alone, Abe tells
Sami he hopes she knows what she's doing with Brandon. Privately
Lexie tells Brandon he doesn't have any right to tell her what to
do and she loves Abe. Always has, always will. She was desperate
before and lashed out at Abe. She appreciates what he's done for
her, but if he wants to be her friend, she asked that he be happy
for her to get what she wants. He agrees to let her live her own
life. She's happy, hugs him and knows it's the way it should be.
Carver Home
Lexie's missed her home and happy to be there, as is he. He asks
what she wanted to tell him when they got home. Happily she tells
him it's a sign, a gift of good things to come to them. Excited,
she tells him they're having a baby. Abe pauses, startled, then
like her, explodes in happiness after she told him Dr. Bader
confirmed it. He is thrilled and asks how she's doing. It's a
miracle he said. Lexie flashes back to sleeping with Brandon and
her face falls. He asks what's wrong, but she covers saying she's
still shocked too, but happily so.
Penthouse
John watches as Marlena pops up from her nap. She remembered a
man holding a syringe over her on the island and him telling her
to sleep. John said she mentioned Stefano's name in her sleep,
but that was not the man standing over her in her dream. She
remembers saying it will break and fall. She was afraid for
SOMEONE that would break and fall. She doesn't know who yet. He
questions her to remember who it was, but she leaves, wanting to
be alone and get some fresh air. She can't be any good to him
until she's herself and to do that, she needs to be alone. He
reluctantly agrees and she heads out.
Sitting alone on a park bench, Marlena remembers the past with a
hand reaching out to her. She looks up and sees Tony Dimera
standing next to her bench. She asks if he's following her. He
told her she looked distressed and she wonders why (meaning
because of him). He reminds her of how she saved him from falling
in the pit on the island. He wonders if she can save him again.
He asks her if is really helpful for people to know their past?
He'd give anything, anything to forget what he knows now. He
apologizes for being self indulgent. She asks what he remembered
tonight. He tells her he's Tony Dimera, son of Stefano. Aren't
they suppose to be up to no good? That's what they say about the
evil ones. But if she believes anything he says, believe they
didn't take that role willingly. Like everyone else on earth,
they want to be on the good team, but weren't given a choice.
What can they do but get kicked around and abused OR rise like
the phoenix? His father and his grandfather chose the later. All
that's left for him is to take on the role as the bad guy. If she
were in his position, what would she do? She looks at him with a
little squint and he interpreted it as a look of understanding,
or was it sympathy..certainly not pity. But the look vanishes.
She asks if his family didn't choose a legacy of crime, who did.
He tells her she wouldn't believe it if she told him and he's
gotten so much information tonight. He tells her that's enough
for now and bids her a good night. As soon as he walks away, John
joins her. He was worried about her being alone. She tells him
she wasn't alone, she was with Tony. She tells him how they
talked about how a person's past affects their future. She tells
him Tony did all the talking. He warns her to be careful around
Tony and that he's (John) always there for her. He won't let Tony
work his way into her future!
DiMansion
Tony holds Stefano's diary, now knowing the truth as to why his
father was so bent on revenge. He will protect their family name
and damns them (the Brady's I reckon) to Hell. Talking to the urn
again (wonder if he should write Dr. Phil about that? Maybe Dr.
Phil should be a guest on the show Marlena hosted and help some
of our Salemites with their issues, like talking to urns, etc.
haha) he tells his father that these secrets he's shared with him
are nothing but a curse.
Brandon's Apartment
Sami and Brandon arrive at her apartment. He confirms he doesn't
have feelings for Lexie, just concerned about her. She kisses him
saying it'll help distract his thoughts. Apparently it's working
as he gets so hot he pulls off his sweater before they fall to
the couch. She asks him to make love to her. He goes to get up to
head to the bedroom, but she wants to do it right there on the
couch, now. As they're going hot and heavy, he tries to pull away
saying they need protection, but she tells him no they don't. He
doesn't want to risk her getting pregnant. When she tells him she
wouldn't mind and they want children, don't they? He agrees, but
not now. He would never risk chancing that. She asks him if he
means that NEVER part (thinking about Lexie being pregnant). He
tells her ALWAYS. He wants to know why she's so worried something
may come between them, is it Lexie? She questions him about who's
keeping secrets. He tells her if they're going to fight, it's
time for him to go and grabs his shirt and does so. Alone she
vents about Lexie's pregnancy. Did he use protection with her? If
he did, maybe it didn't work as Abe and Lexie haven't been
together for a long time.
Back To DiMansion
Tony ponders what he read in the book. He questions what the
cobalt key means and how the Gemini Twins are part of his future.
He knows the Bradys were the ones who commited the first crime.
He trusts what he read is the secret to their family's past and
future. The secret to the past is the Brady's tried to destroy
them. The secret to their future is that he must make them pay!!

Tiz a new day in Salem as Roman and Kate get a surprise visitor,
Marlena counsels Brady, Craig and Sami; Chloe visits Nancy with a
smile on the outside but privately withdrawing into her old self
as Brady's determined not to let her do so.
Sami's Apartment
Sami (looking great in a gorgeous brown sweater..that color looks
good on her!) calls for Brandon at the hospital, mentioning it's
her day off to whomever answered the phone. Brandon is still mad
at her, not wanting to talk while Will runs into the apartment
for his boots and gloves. After she hangs up, Will complains his
boots are too small. She tells him to tell his father and he'll
buy him new boots and rushes him out the door to school as she
grabs her coat to make things right with Brandon.
Roman's House
Roman is in a very good mood as he thanks whomever delivered
breakfast (there are such places?) to his front door. Kate joins
him as he takes it out of the bag wearing only a white dress
shirt of Roman's and a big smile on her face. He tells her she's
wearing his dress uniform shirt, but doesn't mind. Telling her
he'll always be there for her, she asks if he's her personal 911.
He tells her he wants to be her friend. Not wanting his shirt
wrinkled, he starts unbuttoning it as they fall on the couch
kissing. Just then Sami bursts in without knocking. Roman pops
up, followed by Kate. Shocked, Sami asks if Kate ever sleeps in
her own bed. Kate asks if she ever knocks. Sami rants at Kate
until Roman tells Sami to leave. Shocked, she asks if he's
choosing Kate over her. He admits at the moment, yes. Kate
follows Sami out the door, grabbing her fur coat and tries to
rationalize with Sami. Outside she tells Sami not to do this to
her father. Sami only warns Kate to stay away from her father or
what Victor and Nicole have planned for her will seem minor.
Later Roman and Kate hug as he tells her he's having the locks
changed (I can recommend someone ;-) The two share how none of
their children would approve of them together. He tells her they
could hide their relationship or just do it and ignore what
anyone says. She tells him it's over between them, but her kiss
goodbye says differently as they fall back on the couch together
again.
The Hospital
Victor and Nicole had an early morning appointment with her
neurologist. He suggests they celebrate her clean bill of health
by driving out to the country for lunch at the inn. He suggests
she make an appointment with the fertility doctor, but she wants
a break from doctors for a while and needs to recover emotionally
from the shooting. He agrees and suggests they get married on New
Years Eve. She tells him she wants to finalize wedding plans
before telling anyone and he leaves her to visit with her brother.
She tells Brandon about her doctor appointment and is worried
with his surly demeanor. Suggesting they avoid Victor and Sami in
their conversations, he only says that Sami is keeping secrets
from him. The two talk about what they want in a relationship. He
warns her she won't be happy as Victor's wife and she knows it.
Elsewhere in the hospital, Nancy wakes up looking beautiful and
finds Craig sitting in a chair next to her bed with his head on
her chest and rubbing her tummy. He admits being like that all
night (back ache alert) She makes him promise if she loses
consciousness that he won't take their baby. It's more important
that the baby stay healthy for both him and Chloe. He tells her
he won't choose between her and their daughter, but will fight
for them both. She's worried that Chloe will give up hope now and
he calms her.Brady visits Marlena in her office and finds her
deep in thought. Happy to see him home from his trip, she rushes
to hug him. Anxious to hear about his trip, she pours him some
coffee and asks about it. He tells her it was great and the
happiest he's seen Chloe. Now that they're home, that's changed.
He tells her all their problems on the trip just made things more
wonderful (w/o explaining the details). He's worried how now
Chloe's turned off her feelings and she tells him you don't turn
off love and asks if he loves Chloe. Avoiding the question, he
tells her it's not about how he feels and tells her how he gave
Chloe hope and optimism about her future. This news about Nancy
has shook her up and her whole life has been programmed to
believe she brings misery to those around her. Marlena advises
him to help Chloe get rid of the self destructive thoughts. When
she says those negative things for him to listen very carefully.
When she's finished talking he should tell her emphatically that
those thoughts are invalid and not permitted. He should erase
that negative tape in her head. If that doesn't work, she'll be
happy to see Chloe as a patient. Brady is happy for the
suggestion and thanks her. Smiling, he rejects her offer of help
saying he wants to take care of this himself, for Chloe, for them.
She suggests he just be himself and everything will be fine. They
hug and he leaves. Marlena picks up the picture of her and John
on her desk (of them cutting their wedding cake) and looks at it.Later,
Marlena and Craig meet at the coffee pot. He gives her an update
on Nancy's condition, saying they need a miracle. She suggests he
stop by her office for some rest or just to talk. He resists, but
she tells him that he needs some down time and his stress is
showing. He admits being scared for his whole family. Later, in
his office, we join them after Craig tells Marlena about his
being Chloe's father. She's happy for him and feels it's the best
news he could give Nancy right now. She tells him about Brady's
earlier visit and how Chloe seems to be withdrawing into herself
again. Sami bursts into her office (not knocking again) and finds
Craig and Marlena talking. She apologizes, saying Marlena's
secretary told her that Marlena wasn't with a patient. Craig
thanks Marlena for her help and leaves. Marlena is furious with
Sami for busting in and Sami apologizes again, but said her life
is falling apart and begs her mother not to turn on her too. She
throws herself into her mother's arms when Marlena asks what is
it now. Sami tells her that her life is over as Marlena rolls and
bats her eyes, LOL, while hugging her daughter. Sami tells her
about Kate being almost naked at her dad's house and asks how
desperate is he? He must be having a mid life crisis. Marlena
tells not to judge her father and that her father can be with
whomever he wants. Sami explains she and Brandon had a fight and
although it's not a big deal (which Marlena said always turns out
to be a big deal) counsels her daughter to apologize to Brandon.
If it's no big deal and their relationship is solid, all will be
okay. Sami rattles on while hugging her mother hoping Brandon
won't dump her and she'll make everything right, haha. Marlena's
facial and eye expressions say it all. Alone again, Marlena looks
back at her picture hoping it's not true that John and Tony are
brothers.
DotCom
Chloe arrives at dotCom for a Latte to go, from Philip. Knowing
she was away with Brady, he's a little sarcastic until he
realizes she tells him she was wrong and looking sad. Thinking
she means about Brady, he tells her it's not too late for them.
Anxious to help whatever the problem is, Chloe tells him about
Nancy and the baby and blames herself. Having a little pity party
with herself she tells Philip she'll never get what she wants now.
He asks if that's Brady? He doesn't want her to be alone and
doesn't want her withdrawing back into her old self again. Brady
walks up and agrees with Philip for once. He too encourages her
to go see Nancy now and not to give up. If Craig and Nancy
aren't, she shouldn't either. She agrees to go with him to the
hospital as Philip watches, damning Brady. Victor arrives and
asks when Philip can take a break. He tells Philip that he and
Nicole are getting married on NY Eve and Philip congratulates him.
He tells his father that the only chance for Chloe's transplant
may be fading. We return to them as Philip tells his father about
Nancy and the baby. Victor knows his son is hurt, but Chloe chose
Brady and he has to accept it. Philip doesn't agree, Kiriakis'
don't give up
Back To The Hospital
Sami arrives at the hospital just after Brandon tells Nicole that
he knows what he want and always has wanted, Samantha. He just
doesn't like the lying and secrets. Nicole sees Sami and leaves.
Sami apologizes to Brandon and he asks why she wanted unprotected
sex the night before.Nancy looks at the baby picture of Chloe and
looks forward to seeing her two girls together. Brady and Chloe
arrive and he won't give up on her as she tries to push him away,
finally letting him pull her into a hug. Craig joins them and she
tells him she knows what she has to do when she sees Nancy. Nancy
is happy to see her daughter and Chloe smiles at first, but
wishes she hadn't left in the first place. Nancy asks about
Chloe's trip. Chloe tells her it was fine, but she's glad to be
back home with them. Nancy comments how the room is pretty blah
and could use some cheerier things..like family pictures, throw
pillows, etc. Chloe promises to bring pictures next time she
comes. Have to love Chloe's comments about their family should
get a family rate being they're there so much and it's a good
thing that Craig's COS. Chloe promises to be there for her,
remembering how she, Craig and her friends kept her going when
she was there. Nancy hugs her daughter, who's near tears. Chloe
walks out, amazed at Nancy's positive nature. Craig hugs her,
glad that she's home. She tells him she's going home to get some
of Nancy's things and Craig thanks her as he strokes her hair and
returns to Nancy's room. Brady asks how she's doing and doesn't
want her to shut him out again. She tells him she'll do anything
she can to help Nancy and the baby, but they all know it's a
waste of time and there's nothing they can do to save them.
She walks away as we see tomorrow's preview....Sami and Brandon
kiss as she asks if everything's okay now.
Brandon is surprised as he overhears an excited Abe and Lexie
talking about their baby she's expecting. Cynthia sees Cassie
giving Shawn a back rub and is anxious to tell Belle about it.

The teens are studying for finals at Hartley House & Dot.com,
with a bit of plotting in between, while Jen comes across Jack
& Billie, and the Carvers visit Dr. Bader
Hartley House
Mimi is sitting in the commons ..books spread out everywhere (sooooooo
good to see her, and she looks fabulous!) trying to make sense of
her notes. Rex joins her, promising to help her study. Upstairs,
Cynthia is hanging up a "Winter Solstice Party" poster,
sees Shawn coming down the stairs to Belle's room. Cassie opens
the door, saying Belle just left, but that is o.k. as Shawn wants
to study. (Why does he not go down into the commons or back to
his own room?). Cassie happily assists him, telling him he should
relax, while she massages his neck. Cynthia spies from the
slightly open door, noting how Cassie has it bad for Shawn.
Downstairs, Mimi is trying to explain her unorthordox notes to
Rex, which in one case refers to a concert by U2, (coming to
Salem soon) & another a shade of lipstick she wants to wear
to the concert. LOL gotta love that Meems. She has a harder time
explaining the name Rex encircled with a heart, but says it means
she would LOVE to have Rex help her study. LOLOL. Cynthia comes
up, saying how cozy Mimi w/one twin, while upstairs, the other
twin is hitting on Shawn. Rex wants to run up, thinking Cassie is
hitting Shawn, while Cyn explains the hitting on is just what
Mimi was doing to him. She invites Rex to the Winter solstice as
her date, promising him a good time, but Mimi also asks him,
mentioning they would double with Shawn & Belle. Rex accepts
Mimi's offer quickly. Belle returns, & goes upstairs to her
room.
Inside, Shawn has just aced the test questions from Cassie, and
says he owes her. Cassie replies she only wants one thing this as
she gives him a big kiss. In comes Belle, of course. Cassie
leaves & Shawn tries to explain, but Belle says no
explanations necessary. She knows Cassie has had a big crush on
him, while Rex has one on her, ever since they found them and
gave them mouth to mouth. They kiss, and kiss, and kiss some more.
Shawn promises Belle a very special evening just for the two of
them, when finals are over. Both say they cannot wait. But ..back
to the studying.
In the hall, Cassie is spying from the door way (she learned that
Salem trick very quickly) when Cynthia comes up. Cynthia promises
to show her how to get Shawn away from Belle, whispering in her
ear. (Ho, hum) Mimi spots them, Cassie leaves, and she warns
Cynthia to leave Cassie. Too late, Cynthia purrs, she is already
my best friend. She leaves, as Mimi vows she will not let anyone
come between Belle & Shawn.
DotCom
Belle comes in, sees Phil, who claims to be just leaving, having
got someone else to cover for his shift. She realizes he is
intending to go see Chloe and stops him. They both say they did
not realize high blood pressure could affect a pregnancy so much,
& Phil insists he wants to go comfort Chloe. Belle tells him
that she also wants to see Chloe, but they have to give her time
to be alone. That is what she wants right now. She convinces him
this is best, and they talk of studying for history finals. Belle
leaves.
Jennifer is looking at a CD or something, when in comes Jack
& Billie. Jack promptly wants to leave, but Billie insists
they stay. Jen comes to their booth, with Jack, coldly telling
her to save it for the office. But Jen wants to talk to Billie,
telling her she is glad she is o.k.. Billie says that yes, she is
recovering from the gunshot, but since she is being investigated
by the Salem PD, the ISA, probably Interpol, too, plus she has
been suspended, and everyone hates her, yeah, she is doing just
fine. She tells Jen that she is Hope's cousin, so naturally she
would be on that side, but thanks her for convincing Larry (via
the newspaper) that she was at death's door, so he would not come
after her again.. Jack & Jen get into it again, Billie leaves
the booth to give them some space. Billie goes to talk to brother
Phil, and they sort of cry on each other's shoulder. Philip
flashes back to a conversation he had w/Chloe in South Dakota
motel room, where she was talking about her illness. . Billie
leaves him, and he has another flashback .more of the
conversation in Dakota, where Chloe says he was her lst love, but
it is over between them. He then flashes to her birthday party,
where he burst in drunk, remembering some of what she told him
then. He writes her an e-mail .saying "Dear Chloe, I promise
to leave you alone if that's what you want, but if you ever need
anything at all, please let me know. Your Friend, Philip."
He pushes the send button on the mouse.
Jack & Jen argue back & forth once more about his being
kept in the dark about the plot to save Hope ( hate these two not
being able to overcome their anger) with Jack bringing up Jen
continuing to see Colin, even tho she knows it upsets him! (hmmmm,
and where did THAT come from). He reminds Jen that the minute she
& Colin came into Blue Note, he left. Billie comes back,
& Jack quickly starts making plans w/her for another nite
out, talking of taking her to Tuscany. They banter a bit, with
Billie telling Jack to call. He agrees, as behind him, Jen is
calling Colin, telling him she wants to see him. Jack's face
tells the whole story.
Salem U Hospital
Abe & Lexie arrive to see Dr. Bader, all exited and happy.
Brandon see them, wondering why they would be visiting Dr. Bader.
(Duh, Brandon!). Sami comes up to Brandon, still wanting to get
back in his good graces. He still wants the truth about why she
wanted unprotected sex w/him, and Sami puts on this big act about
being so turned on, she just wanted him right there & then.
Brandon isn't buying any of it, (neither are we!) Sami babbles on
about all these things pouring on her, even telling him about
finding Roman w/Kate, and how disgusting it was, she nearly
hurled. (Oh, Sami, that was AFTER your little play acting).
Brandon breaks down, forgives her, and they engage in some kissy
face right there. At the nurses' station. (Guess the hospital
personnel must be pretty lenient about that sort of thing, lol).
He leaves, and Sami is still angry he has not told her of
sleeping w/Lexie, and vows he will not learn of Lexie's
pregnancy, as she knows he will claim the child is his. (You are
right, Sami!)
In Dr. Bader's office, an estatic Abe & Lexie make plans for
her care, with Lexie saying she wants a CVS along with her
ultrasounds. She explains to Abe that it is a chorionic villi
sample, which tests the placenta for abnormalities or defects .kind
of like an amnio, but can be done earlier. (Hmmmm, placenta
testing ..isn't that how Chloe will get what she needs to combat
her illness from her mom's pregnancy?). They leave the office,
still so happy, when a nurse comes out, telling them that a
cancellation came in, and they can come back tomorrow for the CVS
& ultrasound. Brandon overhears this, and realizes Lexie is
pregnant. Abe leaves, and he confronts Lexie, telling her that
Abe cannot be the father of her child, he is. Lexie tells him off
..saying she was with Abe both the night before and the morning
of the day she & Brandon had sex. AND that she & Brandon
used protection, while she & Abe did not. Brandon claims that
she knows that is not always 100% effective, but she tells him to
forget it, and leaves.
At Dot Com, Abe comes in to join Lexie in a booth. He flashes
back to her telling him about them finally having a baby, smiles
and joins her in the booth. Our life is perfect, and the best is
yet to come.
Back at the hospital, Sami comes up to Brandon, (she was
listening the entire time to his exchange w/Lexie) but Brandon
brushes off her offer of lunch together, saying he must deal with

Salem businesses would be wise to sublet a Starbuck's in their
building as many Salemites continue to flock to dotCom (guess tea
is not the blend of choice anymore). From executives to teens,
this hangout is the place to be. Meanwhile, Bo and Hope spend the
day with Zack decorating their home for the holidays as Larry
Welch haunts her and the twins get new instructions.
DiMansion
Rolf joins Tony and learns that Tony read the diary and spoke to
Marlena afterwards, but didn't tell her what he learned. Tony
informs him that Alexandra will be the only other person that
will read the diary and she'll be enlightened by the information
in it. After reading it, Tony is more determined then ever to
destroy John Black and all the Brady's. Rolf asks what the doll
in the boat given to Grandpa Shawn meant, but Tony only tells him
to use his curiousity to better use with the twins. Rolf tells
him that he has the twin's complete trust. Tony orders the twins
must be protected from harm and Rolf agrees they will be.
DotCom
Lexie tells her mother the good news about her pregnancy. Nicole
overhears and asks if that means she's going to become an auntie.
Knowing she made her point, Nicole says she was just joking about
it and walks away.Kate and Billie meet up. Billie complains about
being half way home when Kate called her and asks where her
mother was last night as she called her a dozen times. Kate
flashes back to her romp with Roman, but finds it easier to tell
Billie she was so tired she turned the ringer on her phone off.
Changing the subject to Billie, she asks how she's doing. Billie
vents, claiming to be innocent as Kate suggests a solution. She
tells Billie to quit and come work for Basic Black's new cosmetic
division in Rome. Billie is surprised her mother wants to send
her thousands of miles away from Salem (away from family and Bo)
and asks why when Roman walks in. Noting Roman's smiling face and
Kate's uncomfortable reaction to seeing him clues Billie in
pretty quickly as to the why. Kate excuses herself and the
conversation between Roman and Billie changes from Billie's
situation to his relationship with her mother. Billie figures
he's doing it to make her jealous. She rants about his trying to
get information supposedly about Stefano from her and figures he
is jealous she came back for his little brother and not him.
Roman throws a "what da hell" reaction and confused
expression as she walks away. Kate orders a skim decaffe latte as
the twins watch from nearby. Nicole flaunts her NY Eve wedding to
Victor in Kate's face. Kate wonders why Nicole's marrying Victor
being she has her five million already. She knows she'll cheat on
Victor after she's married and he'll toss her out. Colin
overhears their conversation as he's also there for his hourly
coffee fix. Kate joins Roman, who tells him that Billie figured
out they slept together last night. He tells her it wasn't hard
to figure out and Sami knows already anyway. Kate knows the whole
world will know now that Sami does, LOL. Billie returns from
going outside for some fresh air and Roman leaves for Kate to
talk with her daughter alone. Billie wonders if that's why Kate
wants her to go to Rome. Kate tells her no and Billie reminds her
how a man came between them before. Kate tells her this is
different, it's not like Billie and Roman had a relationship.
Billie refuses the job offer and Kate understands.Cassie and Rex
discuss Shawn and Belle as they see Lexie walk in. Their
programming to protect the DiMera's kicks into gear and they sit
staring at her from the counter.. Staring at Kate, Cassie tells
herself that she (Kate) is the one who threatened the DiMera's
and must be harmed.Tony joins Lexie, his first time at dotCom.
She thanks him for meeting her there as the black leather clad (jacket
and pants with white turtleneck sweater) Tony collapses into a
chair, ordering whatever Lexie's drinking. She anxiously tells
him he's going to be an uncle. She happily tells him she and Abe
are expecting a baby. He asks if she's sure it's Abe's baby,
remembering she told him about Brandon. Celeste overhears from
behind Lexie where she's looking for a book. Celeste and Tony
just tell Lexie they want her to be sure it's Abe's. Celeste
walks into Caprice, who calls her Frankie again. Celeste fidgets
with her earring and asks who Caprice knows that called her
Frankie. Caprice doesn't reply and after Celeste walks away,
figures he must have given her those earrings. Later we see the
twins returning to dotCom with something to put in Kate's coffee.
Rex tells her only a few drops so she won't taste it. They see
Kate's coffee order on the counter and put some drops of
something into it. They watch the waiter deliver it to Tony and
panic. He sniffs the coffee and puts it back down, much to their
relief. They rush over to say hi and after Cassie's purse
conveniently knocks the mug off the table onto the floor, Tony
asks if this is the hip new teenage hangout, DotCom. The twins
agree and excuse themselves as they have an appt. with Professor
Putnam and leave. Roman arrives and he and Tony exchange words.
Tony claiming Roman's lucky he doesn't sue for false arrest and
Roman saying Tony should be in jail just for being a DiMera. Kate
and Billie hug, happy all is well between them as Billie leaves.
Roman joins Kate and the two kiss. Tony and Lexie observe this
and wonder what that's all about. Roman wouldn't upset his little
girl, so maybe he's trying to find out what Kate's relationship
with their father was. Tony and Lexie wonder too and ponder who
will find out the answer first.Colin asks Nicole if they can talk.
She tells him not there as he follows her outside with a smirk on
his face. They go to his place. He asks if anyone understands
what she's going through and she tells him her cat does (hey,
where is this cat?) He kisses her to show her what she'll be
missing. We return to the kiss fest and Nicole pushes herself
away, admitting she's afraid of Victor, but she tells him she
needs to feel free and alive and asks him to make her feel that
way as they fall onto the bed (guess he doesn't have a couch?).
We find them "afterwards" as Nicole puts her shoes on
and Colin's still in bed asking when the next time will be. She
tells him that's it, the last time, but he figures she'll want to
feel alive again. She'll find another way she says and is late in
meeting Victor. After she leaves his cell rings. It's Larry Welch
(ironically wearing the same outfit Hope saw him in). He tells
Colin to meet him in Raymond Grant's office the next morning.
Colin figures it's time to take care of cousin Bo.
Professor Putnam's Office
Cassie and Rex join Rolf and he slips the bracelets on their
wrists, asking for a status report. He panics when they tell him
about the scaffolding (and the mission failed) and coffee
poisoning to Kate. Relieved Tony didn't drink the coffee he asks
if anyone witnessed either event. He orders them never to do
anything without consulting with him first. They are also never
to harm Count DiMera or his sister OR Kate as she is a very good
friend.
Back To DotCom
After kissing, Kate kids about how she should have Roman arrested
for assault. Roman asks why she kissed him back then and after
reminding her she has his number, walks away with a smile. Tony
tells Lexie to worry about the baby (the next generation of the
DiMera's) and he'll take care of Kate. Tony suggests he and Kate
have dinner sometime to celebrate the holiday cheer. Note that
Roman is watching their discussion from outside the glass door to
DotCom.
Brady Home
After positioning their live Christmas tree, Hope tells Zack how
they'll plant it in their backyard. Bo mentions the pinecones
that fall in years to come will remind them of this Christmas as
Hope's face falls. She remembers how many Christmas' they've lost
as Bo does the positive response of where they are now though and
how happy they are. She reminds him everytime they felt that way
in the past, something happened. He tells her the "something"
was Stefano DiMera and he's dead now. They discuss all the people
out there that endanger them, i.e. Larry Welsh (Bo claims he shot
him in the heart and his body must have washed out to sea by now),
Marlo (who they found around Christmas two years ago and started
the baby switch nightmare), Billie (who's always come between
them) and how they lost JT. Bo picks up Zack and tells her that
he's the end of the nightmare. Two years ago Christmas Eve they
got married. Two years later, they're together stronger then ever.
He's not going to hurt them in death as the 3 hug. Later Hope
puts Zack down for a nap. Bo asks her how the tree looks. They
wonder if Shawn will come help decorate the tree and decide to
take a break themselves as they collapse on the couch. We return
to see Hope buttoning her blouse as Bo's positioning the pillows.
Hope tells him they should make this a new tradition and while
picking up a string of lights off the couch. She thought he made
the earth move, but jokes perhaps it was the lights she was lying
on, LOL! He hopes the bulbs are ok, haha. Hope reflects how lucky
she is in life, so many blessings and wants to give something
back. He tells her she already does. She thinks about
volunteering at the women's shelter a few days a week or going
back to schools and get her degree in social work or psychology.
He tells her to go for it. Zack will be in preschool. He plugs in
the lights and they light, then go out. She runs for an extension
cord as he smiles. She runs to the basement and Larry Welch pops
in front of her, asking if she missed him. She screams and Bo
runs downstairs. She points to the other side of the room, but no
one is there. While gasping for breath she tells him it was a
mouse and seeing an old toy of Shawn's, says that's what she saw.
Later Hope finds a new ornament. She opens the box to find a blue
ball with Happy Anniversary written on it. Instead of a specific
year, he has "For Eternity" written on the other side
as she thanks him. Hope pulls out a snowflake ornament that they
tell Zack was made for his big brother in Guatemala. They help
Zack put it on the tree. After more decorating has been
accomplished, Hope joins Bo in the living room. She asks where
Zack is and he tells her how tired Zack was and he put him down
for a nap (how many does that kid take during the afternoon, haha).
They talk about how blessed they are and Hope agrees that it's
going to be a great Christmas as they hug. She looks out the
front door and sees Larry Welch there again as her eyes widen and
her face silhouetted as the previews for tomorrow roll.

Tony pays a visit to Colin who in turn visits the Brady home, the
twins find the portrait of Marlena, Marlena runs into Tony at
DotCom, John receives some unsettling news from Shane.
Tony Drops By
to visit with Colin (is he living at a hotel?) and apparently
Nicole has just left for Tony says the room reeks of perfume.
After Colin assures him that they are alone, he asks if he is
loyal to the DiMeras. He asks him about Raymond Grant and what is
going on between them. (flashbacks of Colin receiving the silver
bullet). Tony also brings up the secret bequest to Kate and it
seems that the curiosity is killing him. He asks Colin why he
hasn't carried out his assignment he is talking about Larry Welch.
Colin is to bring him to Tony dead or alive. He tells Colin he
had better follow orders or he will be in grave danger. (sorry,
but this whole rambling conversation confused me). Right after
Tony leaves, Colin gets a call from Larry Welch, telling him to
meet him at Grant's office. Colin has no idea who it is. Larry
tells him that he knows all about HIM and to do as he says.
Over At The Brady House
We pick up right where we left off, with Bo and Hope hugging and
sees Larry in the window of the door. Bo asks what is wrong as
she rushes over to the door. She only sees Belle and Shawn
outside. She brushes it off as they talk about how wonderful it
is to be back home. Outside, Shawn talks about a surprise for
Belle, but she can't go in with him and face his parents, being
she is still embarrassed from them catching them the night before.
She begs off, opting to go shopping instead, with them promising
to meet up later ad dotCom. Once inside, Bo begins to rag him
about the night before. When Shawn tells them that Belle went
shopping, Bo asks if she is getting him fertilizer for Christmas
(LOL). Hope laughs that Shawn brought her dirty laundry for
Christmas as she picks up his sack. Bo talks about how domestic
she has been since being back and how she worked all morning
making banana bread and egg nog. Bo brings up Shawn and Belle on
the couch and to get away from the ragging, Shawn goes to help
himself to the goodies. Bo holds Hope, assuring her that she is
safe and sound now. Shawn returns to find that she has been
crying and asks if it is because of Larry. Bo says he is long
gone.
Over At The Penthouse
John is on the phone about the DNA results but they aren't
finished yet. When he gets off the phone, he is upset and tells
Marlena that IF they ARE brothers, it will change everything. She
asks how and John explains that he fears that his children will
have DiMera blood and genes in them. She tries to assure him that
they raised Belle and Brady and that they are good people. She
advises him not to be a victim of the past and to move on. She
tells him that she has to leave for a while, to pick up some
packages, promising not to be gone long. After she leaves, he
begins to worry again. He grips a picture of Belle and Shawn so
hard, the glass shatters. Later, Belle drops by as she and her
dad catch up on Christmas shopping, school and Shawn. She assures
him that all is well, until he brings up Cassie and Rex. Belle
takes offense to this same speech and his warnings about them as
she assures him that they are not a threat. She says yes, they
may have Phoenix tattoos, but so does he and he isn't evil. John
says that he is only trying to protect her. She gets a page and
rushes off to meet Shawn at dotCom. Before she leaves, he tells
her to keep her baby blues wide open around the twins. With
"I love yous" she is out the door and gone.
Over At DotCom
THE happeing place in Salem Marlena is studying a book about
flowers. She has the flashback of sitting for the portrait (holding
the bouquet of flowers) saying that "it will break and fall".
She comes back to earth when Tony says her name. He tells her
that he needs her, which rattles her a bit. He is asking her for
help in picking out Christmas gifts for Cassie and Rex, which she
is more than happy to do. Later, he is loaded down with bags as
she assures him the kids will like their gifts, if not, they can
exchange them. Tony says he was lucky bumping into her and she
mentions that it is Friday the 13th. He asks what she was
thinking about earlier and she tells him that she was thinking
about the advice he gave her in the park (about living dwelling
on the past) and how right he was. He talks about how family
should strive to get along as he leaves. She ponders this,
thinking that Tony KNOWS about being John's brother.
Meanwhile, At Salem U
Dr. Putnam (Rolf) is working diligently trying to program Cassie
and Rex. He has them pledge their allegiance to the DiMeras and
tries to get them to repeat that they will not make a move unless
it is cleared with him. Rex repeats this, but Cassie won't. She
just keeps saying "I will not I will not " She finally
spits out "My allegiance is to me I want Shawn I will NOT
let Belle have him". They say that they will defend the
DiMeras and follow the Phoenix. Rolf removes the bracelets and
brings them out of the trance and they decide to rush off to buy
Christmas presents for Shawn and Belle. After they leave, Rolf
says he MUST get the bugs out of that device.
At DiMansion
Cassie and Rex are in the basement (gifts in tow) looking for a
place to stash them. They stumble upon the secret room and find
the portrait of Dr. Marlena, both wondering what it is for and
why it is there. Tony comes in and catches them, but covers
nicely telling them it is a gift for her. He rushes them off and
then summons Rolf to the room. He tells Rolf that the twins gave
him an idea that he is going to give the portrait to Marlena, but
they must do something to it first (he doesn't say what).
Back To DotCom
Bellle and Shawn hook up as he talks about their surprise an
evening together. He offers a gift as a clue. It is an ornament
with the symbol of the winter solstice. He says that he will find
the place later. As they kiss, Cassie and Rex walk in and see
them, infuriating Cassie. She vows to get Shawn for herself and
make him fall in love with her.
Back To The Penthouse
Marlena returns as John tells him about arguing with Belle. When
she asks about what, she tells him she doesn't want to argue with
him about the twins as well. He says he wishes she and Belle
weren't so naïve. He mentions running into Tony (then wishes she
hadn't) and doesn't tell him she was helping him pick out gifts
for the twins. She tells John that she believes Tony knows more
than he is letting on about being John's brother. John gets a
call from Shane the results are in and John and Tony are indeed
brothers. Marlena and John are both in shock.
Back To The Brady House
Colin shows up at their front door and Hope invites him. Bo isn't
so excited to see him though, wanting to know what he wants. He
has a bottle of Irish whisky for them as a "thank you"
for inviting them to the Brady Thanksgiving. Bo assures him it
was "pop's" idea. Hope offers eggnog as he questions Bo
about their plans for Christmas. Colin also brings up Victor and
Nicole's wedding on New Years Eve and assures Bo that he will do
nothing to interfere. Shawn gets the page from Belle and has to
rush off but not until Bo and Hope get one more shot about the
fertilizer (LOL so cute). We see Larry looking at a photo of
Colin, muttering something about cousin vs. cousin. He says that
this plan is even better than the first and that Salem ain't seen
nothing yet. As the Bradys toast, Colin wishes them a Merry
Christmas and leaves. Bo tells Hope that he fears that Colin is
up to something and he plans to stop him. Outside, Colin says he
hopes that their New Year starts off with a bang (as we see Colin
and Bo on a split screen).
