Episode #9435
(****1/2...My highest rating EVER!)
Tape date - Various
Director - Randy Robbins
WOW Just when I think they can't outdo themselves another
riveting show! I fully expected Monday's show to be a let-down,
but it isn't! It left me wanting MORE! Super-sleuths John and
Marlena search the DiMera compound Lexie is pronounced dead with
Bo being arrested Sami and Brandon have some really STEAMY loves
scenes Jack notices that something isn't quite right with
Jennifer. Another thumbs up to the cast today, with special nods
to Tanya Boyd (Celeste), James Reynolds (Abe) and Jason Cooke (Shawn).
Romantic Getaway
Sami and Brandon arrive at their hotel/lodge (whatever it is).
They kiss as Sami is thrilled this is the place they will do it
for the first time. (She says this right in front of the bellhop!)
Brandon notes that she sure isn't shy (LOL) The bellhop informs
them that all their rooms have themes this one is called "star
crossed lovers". Brandon points out that it was she and
Austin who were star crossed, not them. He tells her that nothing
or no one will ever keep them apart again, but Sami can't help
but feel jealous over his relationship with Lexie (as Brandon has
flashbacks of having sex with her). He swears they are just
friends and forget about that and stop trying to make problems
where there are none. He tells her to look in his eyes and see
the love he has for her. He says they were meant to be and they
begin to kiss passionately. They begin to undress each other and
move in the direction of the bed . We see a trail of clothes as
the camera moves to the bed with Sami on top of him (These are
some really steamy scenes here cover the little ones' eyes) as
they make love to the music. Later, they are lying in bed kissing
as Sami says she wishes it could stay this way forever. Brandon
has a gift for her a bracelet, engraved with BW (infinity symbol
between) SB. He tells her that they are forever. Room service
brings up champagne as Sami notices Brandon keeps eyeing the
phone. She urges him to call Celeste and check on Lexie (she
KNOWS he is worried about her) but Brandon kisses her instead,
telling her that "tonight it's only about you and me no one
else". He slips off her robe and they begin to go at it
again.
The Blacks (In Black)
John and Marlena are now on the island slipping through the brush
(both of them dressed in black). They find the DiMera compound as
Marlena approaches and almost touches the gate. John stops her,
warning that there are probably booby traps everywhere. He tosses
a rock and sparks fly from the gate. He cuts the wire in the
ground and then unlocks the gate with some kind of electronic
device. It opens as Marlena laughs and says "I'm so glad I
married a man who's handy" (Love their playfulness and light-heartedness
in these scenes). They proceed with caution, with John warning
her to be careful. He takes out a red light which allows them to
see laser beams surrounding the front door. They slip and slide
around and under them and make it to the door. John picks the
lock and they head inside to a dark, dusty foyer. (Note: these
scenes are really dark and hard to see). Inside the door they
find an eerie warning on a plaque: "To those invited welcome.
To intruders beware". They search the room with their
flashlights and realize the place has been deserted for years.
John finds the DiMera crest engraved on the wall behind a mirror.
But Marlena spies a painting of the seashore on the wall over the
fireplace and can't seem to take her eyes off of it. As she moves
closer to it, she falls through a trap door in the floor. John
jumps into action and grabs her by the hands and pulls her up. He
jokingly asks "Are you falling for me?" He worries
about her being there and for her safety but even though she is
shaken, she insists she needs to be there to uncover her past. He
tells her that she must stick with him and they will unlock those
doors together. He tells her that she is NOT to wander around
freely and to stick by him. She begins to eye the painting again
and shivers. John lovingly puts a throw blanket around her
shoulders as he asks her about the painting. She admits she can't
take her eyes off it. Warning her to stay put, he examines the
bookshelf and finds a book on genetic engineering. She ignores
his warning and moves closer to the fireplace. As she stares at
it, the painting comes to life and we see the waves begin to roll.
She picks up a shell on the mantel and puts it to her ear,
hearing the ocean. (NOTE: remember when Cassie and Rex were
playing with the laptop and he brought up a picture of a shell?
Hmmmmm.) She puts her hand on the mantel and hits a button and
the back of the fireplace opens up. She walks through it with the
door closing behind her. John, who is still talking, turns around
to find her gone and begins to frantically call for his "Doc!"
Is It Curtains For Lexie?
Jack, Jennifer, Shawn and Belle arrive at the hospital to be
greeted by a thong of reporters shouting, as Harold tells them
that there is something BIG going down. As the cops hold everyone
back, Shawn demands to see his dad. Roman allows those for inside
but won't tell them what's going on. Up on the roof, Craig and a
team arrive with Abe crying over Lexie's body. Craig examines her
and tells a broken Abe that there is nothing he can do her neck
is broken. He asks "Who did this?" and Bo calmly says
"I did". Back downstairs, Celeste joins the group as
Roman begins to explain what happened on the roof as everyone
listens shocked. He tells them that Lexie was just pronounced
dead and how it happened. Celeste falls to pieces and becomes
hysterical. Back upstairs, Abe goes off all over Bo, then goes
and picks up Lexie's body, crying that he didn't do enough to
protect her. He gently carries her to the gurney as Craig pulls
the sheet over her. In the lobby, the press is throwing questions
at the group as Shane leads Bo through the lobby, followed by
Craig with Lexie's body. (Now, I'm sure this isn't normal
practice makes me think there is more to this story than we are
being told). Celeste and Abe cling to each other as Celeste
demands to see her daughter. While she loudly sobs, Roman reads
Bo the Miranda rights and he is cuffed. Jennifer says she can't
take this anymore and rushes off, followed by Jack. Jack and Jen
arrive at the newspaper where she surrenders her office to him to
write the story. She wants HIM to do it, for she feels he is the
ONLY one who can. She is at the point of hysterics as Jack
studies her odd behavior. As he is furiously writing, she watches
over his shoulder, loving what she reads. She rushes off,
claiming to need some air. Jack wonders why she is shutting him
out. He says there is something strange going on with her and he
intends to find out what. (another Hmmmm from me) Back at the
hospital, Lexie is wheeled off and over the shouts of the
reporters, Celeste tells Abe that she KNEW something terrible was
going to happen and she felt unable to stop it. He sobs as he
prays that Lexie finds peace now. Bo urges Shawn to go back to
the pub to be with Zack, telling he needs to be both a brother
AND a father to him now. As they lead Bo away in cuffs, reporters
yell for answers. He turns and tells Shawn that he loves him.
Craig offers condolences to Abe and Celeste as Abe suggests they
go to the chapel to say a prayer. Shane offers to escort Shawn
and Belle (who never utters a word the entire show) back to the
pub. On the way out, they are harassed by reporters wanting a
statement. Shawn tells them that Lexie Carver killed his mother
and now his father has killed HER. The cops arrive at the station
with Bo and the entire final segments of the show are done
WITHOUT ONE WORD SPOKEN! We watch as he is photographed and
fingerprinted with a black and white freeze frame between each
scene. (VERY dramatic, IMO). His belongings are bagged and he
hands over his badge. He changes into his jail clothes and they
lead him to his cell. He and Roman stare at each other for a long
time through the bars, (again, not one word spoken) then slowly
turns and leaves. Alone, Bo lies down on the cot and stares off
into space. The camera freezes on his stricken face and
everything fades to black as the credits roll.

*** Episode #: 9437
Directed by: Randy Robbins
Tape Date: 10/22/02
Good show as we continue with John and Marlena's exploration of
the house on Dimera Island..but who and what will they find
there?? Assorted Salemites gather at dotCom for some good coffee
and conversation, as does Dr. Sykes. Chloe and Brady's adventure
continues/
DotCom
Jen gets two coffees to go and runs into Colin. He inquires if
it's true what he heard, that Bo killed Lexie and she tearfully
acknowledges it is. He says he's sorry, but she asks if he means
that. Colin is taken back that she wouldn't think he'd be upset
about all that's happened. He realizes that his being Tony's
doctor she feels he's part of the Dimera camp, but he's on their
healing end, not hurting one. Juggling her coffee (those paper
cups aren't very thermal I know!) she regrets her outburst. Kate
and a newly mustached/goateed Lucas, also arrive (must be next
door to the hospital?). She asks Lucas to get them some take out,
but he reminds her there's no hurry as (a little louder) Billie's
brain dead. Kate tells him she thinks Billie's just in a coma and
can't believe she won't wake up. She feels Billie can sense their
presence. We see Craig and Nancy, also sitting nearby and
overhearing. Kate and Lucas sip coffee while waiting for their
take out order. They comment about Philip's being alone with
Billie at the hospital and a waiter asks them to give Philip his
sympathy. Nancy wants to go talk with Kate, but Craig holds her
back, reminding her their own two daughters depend on her not
getting stressed out (why are they at dotCom then, that place is
full of tension). Nancy misses Chloe and wishes she were there to
hold onto. Craig leans over and putting a hand on her tummy,
tells her to just hold onto this. The baby moves and Nancy
giggles. Craig watches a man walk in and recognizes him as Dr.
Sykes. He doesn't say anything to Nancy about it, but feels the
baby kick. Craig changes his mind and suggests Nancy talk to Kate
while he pays the check. She walks over to Kate and he compares
Syke's picture with the man at the counter. He takes their coats
and bags and tells Nancy he got a call about a routine emergency
at the hospital. Kate offers to take Nancy home and as he watches
Sykes, Colin stops to question Craig about his being transferred
to the clinic. He isn't happy about it and wants to follow up
with his other patients. Craig tells him he'll do that. He
anxiously watches as Sykes heads to the door and excuses himself
to follow. Stepping outside he sees Sykes standing about 10 ft.
away sipping his coffee. He points and shouts, hey, I know you (not
the best thing to shout to someone in witness protection system
Craig) as Sykes makes like a bunny the other direction. Craig
goes to follow as a guy trying to get into dotcom does that
little dance we all do to get around him. Jen and Colin sit down
and he wished he had been at the ER when Lexie and Billie were
brought in to help (yeah, they were a little short staffed!). Jen
tells him about going to the paper to help out, but left Jack
there to take charge. Colin tells her about going to see Tony
earlier. He tells her that Tony was apparently too grief stricken
to see anyone. He was hoping to explain to Tony that Bo killed
Lexie out of grief for his dead wife. He didn't want Tony to put
pressure on for Bo to be charged with 1st degree murder and, as
Jen adds, the death penalty. Jen wonders how many more people are
going to suffer because of this Brady/Dimera feud. As they walk
out of dotCom, she apologizes for jumping on him earlier. She
heads back to the paper and he mutters to himself that he hopes
they lock Bo up and throw away the key as it would make his life
a lot easier. Inside Nancy ties to reassure Kate. She feels so
bad after Kate went through this with one child already. Kate
admits she felt Lucas would be okay, but doesn't have that
feeling about Billie. Lucas puts his arm around his crying mother
to comfort her. Nancy recalls how hurt she was when she found out
about Chloe's cancer, praying it was her instead. Tearfully Nancy
tells Kate that a mother carries that child whether they're with
them or not. Lucas returns for a cell call outside dotcom and
insists, as does Kate, on taking Nancy home. Kate's happy about
Nancy's pregnancy. Nancy offers to call Craig to see how Billie's
doing (being he supposedly returned to the ER). Lucas tells her
not to bother, he just called and Billie's condition is the same.
Nancy gets a little lightheaded and explains someone is just
telling her to get home and go to bed. Kate wants to take her
back to the hospital, but Nancy says no. We see Craig chasing
Sykes in their respective cars as Sykes wonder who it is
following him. Syke's gets a flat tire and pulls over with Craig
following him. Sykes hides in a barn as Craig walks in calling
Sykes name. Sykes steps into an animal trap and screams in pain.
As Craig finds him, Sykes asks who he is while moaning in pain.
Craig comments about Sykes leg gushing with blood and says good
as he walks out of the barn.
The Place To Hollywood
The pilot apologizes for the severe turbulence as they fly over
the Rockies and tells the flight attendants to prepare for
landing. We return to learn they're going to land in Denver as
the plane shakes (my husband's on a trans-atlantic flight as I
type this, not helping my nerves, ha!) Chloe and Brady are both
glad to have each other there as the pilot prepares them for
landing. Chloe tells Brady there's something he needs to know,
just in case something does happen. We return to see Chloe's eyes
closed after the plane has landed safely and the engines are
turned off. The pilot explains due to weather they had to land
and to expect a couple days there as there are no outgoing
flights right now. Brady is frustrated and Chloe jests about
they're good at camping out. She's just happy to be breathing now.
He tells her if they're going to be there 2 days, he wants to see
more then the airport. She figures he'll find a way. Later we
find them driving as Brady was lucky to rent the last four wheel
vehicle at the airport. Brady calls Chloe a survivor after all
the challenges she's faced lately. She tells him she considers
herself blessed and feels that someone must be looking after her.
He tells her he is, but smiles. As they drive through the fog,
Chloe wonders if he knows where they're going. He shows her a
pamphlet for a cozy lodge about 20 miles outside of Denver that
they're headed to. They're both having a good time, despite all.
As we join them again, she can't get a cell signal and they
mention both of their ears have been popping. The lodge is
apparently at a lower elevation then the airport and Chloe
figures they missed a turn off. He figures they're taking a
"scenic route" (aka LOST) as the fog thickens. She
figures he's the type that won't ask for directions. She
confesses not being one to ask for directions before, but has
learned it's an okay thing to do. He agrees to look for a place
to turn around and whoops, the car dies. We join them later as he
checked and hadn't hit the deer or moose he swerved to miss. She
still can't get a cell signal and they cuddle up to spend the
night there. He figures they might have been more comfortable at
the airport, but she disagrees as she snuggles up to him.
DiMera Island
The lights go out as John lights his handy flashlight to search
for Marlena (who we know disappeared through the fireplace). He
calls for Doc as he scopes the place. Meanwhile, she's walking
around through walls that open into doorways, towards the sound
of the sea. Automatically she knows how to open and shut the
secret passageways. She finds a canopied bed apparently on a
patio near the ocean. She closes the doorway behind her from a
sculpture on the wall and walks toward the bed, remembering
sleeping in it at one time. Inside John searches the mantle for
buttons and finds the one near the shell Marlena was listening to.
Marlena remembers someone in a white lab coat and black tie
telling her to sleep as she lies in the bed. John comes through
the wall and senses something's wrong as she stares at the bed.
She assures John she's okay and remembers looking at the painting.
She doesn't know how she got to where they are now though. He
tells her about the shell and a device to open the fireplace. She
doesn't remember any of that. She tells him the sound of the sea
sounds familiar. He asks if she remembers being there before and
she doesn't know. He lifts some fingerprints off the dresser and
compares them. He can tell one is fresh and the other has been
there for a while. They are both Marlena's (man, he's better then
Grissom on CSI!) They return through the fireplace as Marlena
needed to get out of that room. She takes a deep breath and
promises (laughingly) not to go anywhere as he returns to the
other room to finish his fingerprinting. Saying OPEN SESAME (LOL)
he hits the magic button and disappears through the fireplace
again. She stares at the ocean painting as it morphs into a
picture of her smiling down at her. She goes and brings John back
to see, but the ocean picture is there again. He knows it's
Dimera's mind games and they're probably watching them right now.
Whatever evidence they find, they're going to use it to nail
Tony's butt to the wall. She asks if she's hallucinating? She
recalls waking up in a similar bed, but on a different island.
Has she been burying these memories all those years? They hear a
noise and John holds up a finger for her to be quiet and
investigates. He turns around and Marlena's not behind him.
Looking around with a flashlight we see Tony's reflection in a
mirror. As John looks into the mirror it multiplies into many
layers of mirrors as the credits roll.

Episode #9438***
Taped date - various
Director - Herb Stein
Chloe & Brady continue their Colorado adventure, Bo appears
in court, while Larry clues Hope into what is happening in Salem.
The Weekend Get Away
continues as Sami & Brandon awaken under their special L-shaped
satin sheets. (You know the kind, only comes to the guys's waist,
but covers the gal like a sarong, lol). They engage in a lot of
small talk, about finally being together, while smooching it up.
Brandon is really hungry, Sami doesn't want to leave the room, so
he calls room service. Breakfast arrives, along with a newspaper,
with headlines that tell of Lexie's murder. Sami hides the paper
on the shelf below the cart, but later Brandon bumps into the
cart, the paper falls out, and he reads the story. Brandon begins
packing to return to Salem.
Colorado Rockies
star in this segment, as Chloe & Brady awaken to a new
sunshiny, but chilly day. Their white jeep, with hood up, is in
middle of a field off the highway. Brady thinks he hears a car,
and they run to the highway, which is deserted. Their cell phone
will not work either. Returning to the car, Chloe offers Brady
some peanuts she saved from the plane. Again they hear something
.and along comes a black carriage, festooned with flowers, a
driver in a white suit, and two black horses clip clopping along.
They hail the driver, and Brady says something about the Lone
Ranger, the driver gets ticked and starts up. But he stops again,
Chloe admires the horses, as Brady, standing in the field tries
to explain about the car troubles. The driver agrees to give them
a lift, tells them to get their luggage, and explains that he was
returning from a wedding at the VFW hall, got stuck there cuz of
the storm. Brady & Chloe climb in, there is even a lovely
white rug (who needs Central Park this is really beautiful) and
leftover wedding cake. As the carriage heads down the road, we
hear a song being played .(I think it is called My Destiny), sung
as a duet by a male and female. Really very appropo. And a big
sign on the back reads "Headed For The Honeymoon". LOL
The driver says he is just taking them up the road to his
brother's place. They arrive, the brother is in Vegas, & they
can stay in the cabin for a bit. The phone works, there is food .and
Chloe goes looking for the thermostat. Brady sez he found it, as
he points to the fireplace, hoping he can get it to work. LOL
In Her Prison
Hope is sleeping, (poor gal is still in those same clothes, which
must be sooooo ripe by now!) as Larry arrives with a big cup of
coffee, and a newspaper. He wants her wide awake, in order to
absorb all the news. He shows her the headlines in the Spectator,
about Commander Carver's wife being murdered, and the story about
Bo doing it. Hope cannot believe Bo would murder anyone. Larry
then shows her the story inside about Billie being shot. He
claims his aim was poor, but it will only be a matter of time
now, before she is gone. He brags to Hope how he has partnered
with Billie for over a year, (as Hope flashes back to seeing
Billie talking to Larry thru her peephole), that Billie knew all
about Hope's kidnapping, and claiming it was a revenge thing for
them both. Hope worries about her kids, as Larry continues to
taunt her, telling her everyone thinks she is dead, and her kids
will not have a mother or father. He then shows her another
story, one that tells the news of Hope's death, too.
He wants to leave, and Hope finally realizes she is in Salem. She
refuses to go, Larry pulls a gun. Hope knocks it from his hand,
pushes him away, and runs out the door, screaming for help. Larry
pulls her back in, they struggle, Hope goes for the gun on the
bed, but Larry gets it first. In doing so, he knocks her pillow
aside, and sees part of the message she scrawled on the wall.
Larry is NOT happy about this, and gives her his keys, making her
scratch out the message. Hope once more struggles with Larry, and
runs out the door.
The Courthouse
is filled with reporters, as Abe & Celeste (she looks
gorgeous, great hat!) arrive for Bo's arraignment, along with
Cameron Reese (who wants to sue everyone in sight, it seems), but
Cameron gets rid of the reporters. Bo is in his cell as Caroline,
Roman & Micky arrive. Caroline does not want him pleading
guilty to a capital crime, but Bo says he did kill Lexie. The
hovering policeman says it is time, and they all leave, first
putting Bo in handcuffs, to go to court. Over at Dot.Com, Shawn,
Belle & Philip talk a bit in a booth, as a waiter comes over,
asking about Billie. Philip says his mother is going to have to
decide about taking Billie off life support. Shawn is upset, and
tho his dad told him to stay away, he has to go to court. Jack
& Jen tell him it is time, and leave with him.
Roman & Caroline arrive in court, get seated just as Bo is
being brought out. Judge Segal arrives, asking Bo how he pleads.
The door opens, Shawn comes in, Bo takes a long look at him, then
says "Not Guilty". The courtroom is buzzing, (J&J
have only a couple lines today, but do a lot of reacting!) Micky
asks for Bo's release without bail, Carson Palmer, the prosecutor
objects. They argue back and forth, with Micky claiming Bo was
trying to prevent a prisoner from escaping, and should get the
charge reduced to manslaughter, with Bo being released w/o bail.
The courtroom is erupting by now, as Abe jumps up yelling that no
way should Bo be allowed to go free. The judge announces that he
has reached his decision. The camera moves to the face of Shawn.
And the credits roll.

*** Episode #: 9439
Directed by: Phil Sogard
Tape Date: 10/24/02
Brady and Chloe's Colorado Adventure continues, Craig makes a
house, er, barn call, Cassie and Rex visit the pub and Marlena
uncovers evidence while Tony falls for John.
Brady Pub
A sign is taped to the door that they're closed due to family
emergency. Shawn sits morosely at the bar, with Belle at his
side, reading the latest Spectator's headlines of
Commander Carver's wife murdered, with a sub heading Police
Detective Held. Shawn is upset how Belle's been ignoring her
schoolwork and own life because of him (does she even know her
family is all out of town?) and apologizes for his behavior of
late. She insists he eat and rest, but he can't and is grateful
she's there for him.
Rolf's Classroom
Giving private lessons to the twins, Rolf's disappointed Cassie's
concentration is not up to par. She tells him about being worried
about her friends and wants to stop for a while. Rolf agrees
conditionally and opens his briefcase. Cassie spots their
bracelets in there and panics. She refuses and tells him her
friends are more important then homework. He reminds them they
asked for his help, which Rex confirms. Rolf pulls out something
to help them concentrate (some remote control with red and green
lights) and points it at them. Rex agrees, but Cassie just
rumples a paper in protest. He turns his knob and she unrumples
the paper and agrees to trust him and work. He's happy the
programming worked, but she changes her mind and refuses and Rex
agrees this time with her now. They leave and Rolf is mad their
friendship is too strong with Shawn and Belle.
Cabin In The Rockies
Wouldn't you love to be the brother of the guy who dropped off
two strangers to your home in the mountains with unlimited phone
access, your food, etc. and telling them to make themselves at
home? Brady calls the rental agency about their jeep. They told
him they found it and hauled it to the garage and gave them some
alternatives to choose from. Brady gives Chloe the choices to
decide from. The rental agency offered to pick them up and drive
them to the lodge that they were headed for or they'll take them
back to the airport where they can continue on to LA (so much for
two day layover, it's beautiful there). The third option is to
remain right there at the cabin. She decides to weigh the options.
The lodge has a restaurant and a Jacuzzi (but he says lots of
people). She says LA they can visit The DC Pavillion and maybe
meet Placido Domingo (but still, lots of people there). If they
stay at the cabin they can explore and have fun, but no people.
The guy did tell them to make themselves at home. Brady calls and
tells her they have 48 hours to themselves (how about an exchange
rental car so they can get out of there after that?). She
suggests calling Nancy to let her know they're fine and he offers
the house phone (why not?). She calls Nancy and tells her their
plane had to land in Denver and they're staying there instead.
Nancy asks for a number and she gives her the cabin phone number
(303) 555-0199 for those who care. Brady asks why she didn't tell
her where they are, but Chloe knew that Nancy would only worry.
Chloe recalls not being able to play with neighbor kids as her
adoptive mother thought she'd get germs from them if she did.
Brady tells her to bundle up as they're going out to play. Later
we find them hiking while they have fun videotaping. (did they
bring flannel shirt for Hollywood or borrow them from "the
brother?"). Chloe hams it up as a diva and although Brady's
holding out his arm with the video camera, they're dead center in
the screen, LOL! Fun scene which ends with her squirting him with
her water bottle. He gives her a head start before he chases her
for it. He drops the camera in the field as he chases her with
both of them laughing and having fun. Later we see them riding
bikes on the dirt roads. They take a break and collapse on the
ground and kiss. A time later they're snuggling next to a lovely
creek. We find the duo sitting in front of a fire in the cabin
sipping hot cocoa later. Brady remembers his father making hot
chocolate out of melted candy bars for him when he was a kid.
Chloe stares into the father wondering where her father is and
what if she needs him before her sister is born? DR. vs DR. Sykes
pulls his tie off to tie off his leg to help stop the bleeding.
Craig returns with his bag and asks Sykes why he should help him
when he asks for it. Sykes offers to give him whatever money he
has. He notes Craig's wedding ring and pleads with him saying his
wife is not part of any of this. Meanwhile, Craig dons his
plastic gloves and whips out his latest tool, a tire iron. Dr.
Syke's panics a little, but Craig moves to the trap and goes to
open it so he can take him to the hospital. Sykes doesn't want a
hospital, but Craig tells him to hold still. He opens the trap
and wraps some sterile gauze over the injured leg. Sykes is
surprised to learn Craig's a doctor and Sykes admits being one
too. Craig tells Sykes that he knows that and all about him. We
return after Craig's stitched up Syke's wound and bandages it
again while reciting the Hypocratic Oath. He'd like to tear out
the stitches after what he did to his wife though. Sykes denies
ever doing such a thing. Sykes is baffled as Craig tells him he
raped his wife and finally has to tell him Nancy's maiden name,
Nancy Miller. Sykes said that was so long ago and almost a blur
now. He was depressed and drinking at the time. He admits there
was no excuse for it (as Craig holds him by the collar). Craig
tells him about his stepdaughter having leukemia and needing a
bone marrow transplant. Sykes is confused why that concerns him
and Craig tells him because he's her father. Sykes is surprised
and said he'd be happy to help, but he can't be her father.
Back To The Pub
Belle sees Cassie and Rex peering through the locked door and
opens it enough to tell them it's not a good time. They insist
and Shawn says it'll be okay. Cassie holds Shawn's hands and
tells him that she and Rex don't have a family either and will be
his family, forever. Rex pulls Cassie away from Shawn, saying
they should leave. Belle thanks them and locks the door after
them. She tells Shawn they appear to really care about him and
he's grateful. He tells her they need to rescue Zack from Grandpa
Shawn before he stars singing as Shawn see pictures of his family
over the bar as they head upstairs.
DiMera Island
Marlena brings John back to the fireplace to see her picture and
of course, it's back to the ocean picture. He leaves to check on
something and she spots a book with name GEMINI on the spine and
reaches for it. Whoops, the bookcase is a secret passageway and
she's whooshed into the next room and the bookcase closes. John
returns and Doc Gone. He flashes his light around looking for her
and finds Tony's reflection in the mirror because he's standing
right behind him. Tony's not looking like a gracious host however.
Marlena calls for John (they need ropes tying them together, I
swear!) Tony and John exchange quips about why they're there and
Tony reminds John it is his house and island that his father
bequeathed him. John wants his wife back and Tony asks if he lost
her again (sorry, had to laugh at that). John's NOT laughing and
demands Tony return her. Marlena searches for a secret lever (hope
those are alkaline batteries in her flashlight) and gets trapped
in a room. She explores the cobwebbed room and finds large
tweezers in the drawer with other medical tools. She takes her
spy camera out and snaps a few pictures of the drawer and
continues searching. She unveils something (mirror, picture?) and
says oh no. We finds it the painting she saw over the mantle and
she takes a picture of it and covers it up again. She sits at the
dresser and looks at the items on it. Her hand gets pricked by a
needle embedded in one of the items and she gets drowsy as she
hears the voice telling her to sleep (long shelf life on their
drugs there). She fights the voice and drug, determined never to
let that happen again. She opens a drawer and finds a gown,
wondering if she slept in that. We see an aged paper in the back
of the drawer. I think the note says Tony keep, but not sure. She
carefully pulls the aged note out and can't believe what it says.
She puts it into a zip log bag (she must watch CSI too) that she
must have had in her fanny pack and says she has to show it to
John. John goes to look for Marlena as Tony watches. Tony sees a
Phoenix emblem on the wall and remembers Rolf telling him to use
the Phoenix to see the way. He takes his ring off and the Phoenix
in his ring moves as he holds it up to mesh with the Phoenix on
the wall. A grate in the wall opens and Tony heads for it as John
returns from the fireplace and tells him to stop. Tony leans
against the grate to close it and John comments on the Dimera
crest, knowing that Tony was going to continue his father's work.
Tony tells him he just came to check on his inheritance and asks
why they came. John threatens to tear this place apart if Tony
doesn't return his wife. Short on patience, John shoves Tony and
Count Dimera falls over the table and into the hole in the floor
it was covering. Tony hangs by his hands and John rolls his
tongue in his mouth, in no hurry to help him. John demands to
know where his wife is as Tony denies knowing. John turns off his
flashlight and walks away, leaving Tony pleading for help, as the
credits roll.

Tape Date: Various
Brady prepares a special evening for Chloe John and Marlena make
a hasty retreat from the island Tony finds a clue to his past The
Roberts/Reeds prepare to pull the plug on Billie Larry relaxes,
thinking he's in the clear a desperate Hope reaches out to Bo as
he makes his move.
Trip To "Bradywood"
Brady and Chloe are in front of the fire having flashbacks of the
day they had (in case you missed it the first time). He tells her
she ain't seen nothin' yet. Since their trip to Hollywood was
canceled, he welcomes her to "Bradywood". He has plans
for her for dinner and tells her to go and get ready. Later, we
see him in his tux (now WHERE did that come from? was it crammed
in his bag or did he find it in the cabin?). He is lighting
candles and setting the table (as he has flashbacks of their
carriage ride). Chloe returns in an evening gown (did she find
that in the closet? All I remember them having was 2 small bags).
He bows for her, welcoming her to Chez Rustica and shows her to
her seat. He offers her the "plate de jour" which he
calls Brady Succotash. She tells him that everything is perfect
as he offers some music and flips on the radio. It's a rollicking
country song (it bothers me because I KNOW this song, but can't
put my finger on it sounds like it's possibly Toby Keith, but
they don't play enough of it). Brady begins to sing along. Later,
he is on the phone with the repair shop and it seems they don't
have the parts they need and will be until at least tomorrow
before the jeep is ready. He offers more music and turns on the
radio again. This time, it's no mistaking the song as we hear
"Maybe I didn't love you ." Yup, it's the vocal
stylings of Willie Nelson as he warbles "You Were Always on
My Mind". Brady (in his best hick accent) asks "Hey
baby, wanna dance?" and they do. As the song ends, she
offers to help clean up, but he stops her, suggesting they get
some rest. She comments at how uncomfortable the sofa (I guess
where he plans on sleeping) looks as he kisses her and wishes her
a good night. She tells him that maybe they should rethink their
sleeping arrangements for tomorrow night and heads on to bed.
In The Barn
Craig works on Sykes' leg as he claims there is no way he can be
Chloe's father and he has proof he had a vasectomy 25 years ago
at the insistence of his first wife. He informs Craig that his
son is a step and that he has NO biological children. Craig
doesn't believe him and wants to take him to the hospital for DNA
testing, but Sykes fears for his life. Craig pulls out a syringe
which panics Sykes, until he realizes it is ampicillin (an
antibiotic). Craig gives him a shot and tells him to stay put,
leaving him with pain pills and some water. He says there is
enough blood on the towels to test but Sykes assures him it won't
match. He takes Sykes' keys and before he leaves, tosses him a
candy bar. Outside, he pushes a wheelbarrow in front of the door
and heads for the hospital.
Pulling The Plug On Billie
Kate, Lucas and Philip are all at the hospital waiting for Austin
to get there. Roman makes a statement to the press. Just before
that, we see Larry (in disguise) slip into the crowd of reporters
(Harold among them). Someone asks when are they going to pull the
plug? And Kate falls to pieces, with Lucas and Philip comforting
her. Philip flies off the handle at the reporter from the
Intruder and chews him out. Roman offers condolences to the
family (okay, they MUST be in on it all as well) as Kate says she
can't do this and falls into Roman's arms. Larry slips out. Later
in the show, the doctor approaches Kate with papers to sign (in
front of reporters???) giving them permission to pull the plug.
Shane assures her that it is the right thing to do. She signs
them as the family says they are going to remain there and wait
for Austin's arrival so he can say his goodbyes as well. Kate
breaks down again.
Getting The Hell Out Of Dodge
In the secret chamber, Marlena studies the note she found and
decides she must find John. She says this will change their lives
forever. Meanwhile, John walks away from Tony, leaving him
hanging in the hole, refusing to help him. John tells him to fall
all the way to hell. He goes to leave as Tony (now pleading for
his life) promises to help him find Marlena. John taunts him and
wants him to tell him first and THEN he will help him. But about
that time Marlena comes rushing out of the fireplace (not sure
HOW she got out of there), calling for John. She begs him to save
Tony, and together, they pull Tony out of the pit. She explains
that Tony had nothing to do with her disappearance and announces
that she wants to go home NOW. John gives in to her as he turns
to Tony and steals Arnold's signature line "I'll be back".
After John and Marlena rush out, Tony opens the wall safe and
takes out a lock box. The mysterious blue key opens it and inside
he finds a wooden box with the DiMera Crest on it. He can't
figure out how to open it but is sure that inside lie all the
secrets to his past and future. Later, on the plane, (in fresh
clothes now) John wants an explanation from his wife. She says
that she couldn't tell him in front of Tony. But before she can
explain, there is a phone call. It's Shane as John tells him
about Tony showing up on the island. John asks about everything
at home as Shane promises to fill him in when they get back. When
he finishes on the phone, John begins to question Marlena again.
She tells him she found something and finally pulls out the note
and blurts out to an impatient John "Tony is your brother!"
In Her New Prison
Hope has a new place to hang out (but alas no new clothes). Larry
has left her alone and she is tearing the place apart and beating
and yelling at the door for help. She can't believe what she sees
in the newspaper and fears that she may never see Bo again. She
rips up the newspaper and prays for help. She tries to figure out
where she is and smells gasoline and fish (okay I'm not EVEN
going to touch that one ;-) Larry returns from the hospital to
find the place a mess. LOL as he looks around at the mess and
says "once a housewife, always a housewife". She tells
him that she went a little stir crazy. He taunts her, telling her
that Billie is braindead, Lexie's funeral is tomorrow and Bo is
in jail. NO ONE is going to save her now and he is in the clear.
She tells him that she isn't going ANYWHERE with him and pulls
out (what looks like) a sharpened stick. He forces it away from
her and holds her at gunpoint, continuing to taunt her, telling
her that she will never see her family again. She tells him that
he has underestimated Bo and he WILL save her (as we see a shot
of Bo in his cell praying). Speaking of Bo, Shane had visited him
earlier to see how he was doing (and having another one of those
strange cryptic conversations). He mentions talking to both Kim
and Kayla and urging them NOT to come to Salem, claiming there
was nothing they could do. Bo asks about Billie's condition, but
Shane offers no new information. He talks about how hard all this
is on Shawn. As Hope pleads for Bo's help, he is in his cell,
begging her to let him know where she is, saying "hold on
Fancy Face". Roman shows up, asking him what is wrong. Bo
says it's Hope she needs me NOW. Roman pulls out his keys and
unlocks the cell door and slips his gun to Bo, telling him "Go
do what you have to do". Bo slips out of the cell and turns
the corner. With Hope's face superimposed in the upper right hand
corner of the freeze frame everything fades to white and the
credits roll.
