Show #: 9196
Tape Date: 11/5/01
Director: Mary Madieras
The party continues...as some more
guests arrive and others are still making their way there (while
some have mysteriously disappeared). Rolf kicks the
transformation into high gear as Lexie loses control of the party.
The Fashionably Late
Belle and Shawn are in the car headed for the party, when Shawn
has an undeniable urge and must satisfy it. No, it isn't what you
think, as they end up at Buddy's Burger Barn with him chomping on
a fat cheeseburger. He teases Belle, who finally gives in and has
a couple of French fries. They talk about Brady and Chloe as
Shawn hopes if Chloe goes to the party, she isn't in one of her
moods. He does NOT want to spend another date with Belle,
worrying about Chloe. Belle finally gives in and has a bite of
the burger. They finish it up and are on their way.Meanwhile,
over at the Wesley's, they are running late as well. Nancy (looking
lovely in a copper-colored dress matching her hair) searches
frantically for her car keys as a long-faced Chloe sits and
broods on the sofa. She is having flashbacks of both Philip and
then Brady. Brady is sitting in his Jeep outside their house and
calls Chloe. She invites him in and tells Craig and Nancy that
she isn't going to the party as Brady arrives. After they leave,
Chloe and Brady talk about how they have always been so hard on
each other and maybe trying to hide their true feelings. He tells
her that he really cares about her and her music and doesn't want
to see her put her life and dreams on hold because of Philip. She
gets angry as he calls her self-destructive.Over at the Kiriakis
place, Philip is in his room getting ready to go crash the party.
Nicole comes up to get him. It seems that they are having a
family night she has made popcorn and nachos and the movie is
getting ready to start. She wonders why he is so dressed up and
figures it out, and can't believe he is planning on going to the
party, even though none of them were invited. She advises him to
stay at home, because IF Chloe is there, she will be with someone
else. He doesn't care, he is going anyway and won't listen to her
reasoning.
At DiMansion, The Party Continues
As on yesterday's show, the party scenes are filled with little
one-on-one conversations as it hops around. Oddly enough, many of
the guests seem to have fallen into a black hole and are no where
to be seen (Julie, Doug, Mickey, Maggie, Shawn, Caroline and
Alice among others). Austin and Sami talk about their engagement.
Jennifer and Colin stare at each other from across the room until
Liz realizes she doesn't have her purse and talks him into going
to the car with her to retrieve it. Barb and Glen try to mingle
as Hope worries about them being there and Bo questions Abe as to
why they are there. John cross-examines Lexie as to who she was
talking to as she tries to cover and say that she is just upset
because Barb and Glen showed up. Rolf hits Hope again with
another dose of Gina memories. Bo sees her reaction and knows
that something is wrong with her. Abe offers to take her upstairs
so she can lie down. Bo thinks she is upset at seeing Barb and
Glen there, so Abe says he will find Lexie and try to get them
out of there. Rolf barks at Lexie that she must keep Hope in that
room and keep John away from her. John keeps his eyes on Lexie,
which makes Marlena a bit nervous. Sami notices that something is
bothering her mom. Sami prattles on to Austin about how wrong
Brandon and Jennifer are for each other, which seems to annoy him.
Jack is also interested in talking about Brandon and Jennifer, as
Greta is getting a bit annoyed as well. She is more interested in
finding that guy with the Australian accent (Colin) who seems to
have disappeared. Lexie gets everyone's attention and in an
attempt to do some damage control, and explains to everyone just
WHY Barb and Glen are there. She says that she invited them
because even though they accidentally took JT, everyone must
remember that they brought him back and that they should forgive
them and welcome them to the celebration. Barb thanks everyone
for being so kind and wishes the best for Hope. She goes on to
say (with this directed at Lexie) that it would be hard for Hope
to forgive anyone if they tried to take her child again. Jenn
makes a toast to her cousin Hope just as the Wesley's arrive. (Odd
though, I don't remember seeing them again after that). Rolf
congratulates Lexie on handling the situation so well and says
that now, she needs to concentrate on Hope. Jack tries to talk to
Lexie about business, but she is rude to him and brushes him off.
(LOL, Greta says that she needs to brush up on her party manners).
Lexie drags Brandon off to talk as Sami nosily asks Jennifer is
she is just using Brandon to make Jack jealous. Highly offended,
Jenn snaps at her as Austin tells Sami to back off and not upset
anyone. In the foyer, Brandon tells Lexie that he doesn't like
what is going on and she begs for his help. He wants no part of
it however and decides to abruptly leave. He tells her that he is
still her friend and will be there for her to help her pick up
the pieces when all this blows up in her face. John complains to
Marlena that he believes the party is just a set-up and tells Bo
and Hope that they are in danger and to get out of there now.
They refuse to leave and Bo gets a bit angry, telling John to
back off - he can handle it. John storms off as Marlena tries to
smooth things over. Rolf tells Lexie that they must work fast as
Bo suggests to Hope that so far the evening has been a bust why
don't they just grab JT and leave. Bo wonders whatsup with John
as Hope defends him. John tells Marlena that he MUST find a way
to get Hope out of there as she tries to reason with him. Jack
tries to talk to John about a job at Basic Black, but John isn't
interested. Jack asks Greta if his deodorant has failed? (LOL)
Jack prattles on to Greta about Jenn and Brandon and Greta begins
to think that maybe Jack has a thing for Brandon (oh no, not
again). Glen is looking for some chips and cold cuts as Barb
tries to get him to try the caviar. He says it looks like bait to
him and refuses. She tells him to get used to this life style.
Rolf is upset with Lexie saying that the party is out of control.
Jenn sees Brandon leave and is upset that he didn't even say
goodbye. Jack notices this and asks Jennifer what happened to her
"steroid steady". Colin and Liz return as he and
Jennifer stare at each other again from across the room. Bo and
Hope notice that Marlena is upset and she urges Bo to go over and
try to cheer her up. Now that Hope is alone, Rolf is ready to
start again and directs Lexie over to her. But on the way, Barb
grabs her and begins to demand her money again. Rolf complains
that Lexie is useless and decides to act on his own. He begins to
flip switches and turns them wide open. Focus on Hope as she
begins to have flashes of Gina and that horrible Princess Gina
music begins playing. She looks as if she is in pain as we fade
to black and the credits roll.Laney

Show: #9197
If This is a party for Hope, she sure don't have that much airtime.
Lexie is going off the deep end.
Rolf continues to flood Hope's brain with images of Princess Gina.
She grabs John and tells him that he's right, she shouldn't have
come. John wants to get the chip out pronto, but then the visions
stop. Marlena and Bo come up to them and Hope uses Marlena's
wanting to dance with John as an excuse to slip away with Bo.
They begin to dance and Hope is hit with the memory of Princess
Gina dancing with Bo. Concerned, Bo tells Hope that maybe they
should leave. Hope agrees and they slip out. Rolf screams in
Lexie's ear to stop Bo and Hope from leaving, but just then the
alarm goes off. Lexie is torn. Will she intercept Bo and Hope or
see to the alarm?
Marlena tries to convince John that he's just projecting his
feelings/paranoia about Stefano and the chip onto Hope. Barb
demands her money and when Lexie goes to talk to Rolf, she's
nearly blown away. When Lexie demands to know what Rolf is doing
with a gun, he replies that she could have been John. Rolf tells
Lexie to stop whining and start acting like her father. He'll
deal with Barb soon. Lexie tells Barb that she'll have the money
for her at the end of the party.
Jennifer and Colin come face to face as the band plays a romantic
song. They both remember dancing to it in Africa. When Colin asks
if Jennifer remembers, she grabs her coat and leaves.
Brady and Chloe talk and Brady realizes that no matter what Chloe
may feel about Philip, she's at least being honest with him. They
leave for the party. When they arrive at the mansion they join up
with Shawn and Belle.
Philip manages to slip away from the guards and peers over the
garden wall. He becomes enraged when he sees Brady dancing with
Chloe. Philip then notices caterers leaving through a side exit
and hurries to it. When he opens the door, an alarm goes off!

Show: #9198
Lexie decides to head off Bo and Hope instead of seeing to the
alarm. Bo insists that something is wrong with that house and
they never should have come. Lexie turns on the waterworks to
convince Hope to stay. Hope then realizes that she left JT behind!
Lexie uses this to her advantage and finally Hope agrees to
return to the party. She later tells Bo, John and Marlena that it
wouldn't kill her to stay at the party for another hour. Or will
it?
Barb is relentless in her demands for money and Lexie freaks out.
The walls are closing in on her and Rolf is barking orders in her
ear. She screams for them to stop! Barb picks up on the plural
and Lexie covers, saying she meant Barb and Glen. Lexie then
orders Bart to get the money. Rolf tells Bart to forget it, he'll
deal with Barb later. Right now he needs Bart's help. One more
jolt and welcome back Princess Gina!
Philip makes the mistake of swinging at a guard and they attack
him. He screams for Chloe who hears him and rushes out with the
gang on her tail. Abe arrives on the scene and demands to know
what's going on. Philip says it's all because he loves Chloe. A
mortified Chloe turns to Brady and asks why is Philip doing this
to her? Brady replies that it's her fault for not letting Philip
go.
Austin gets a call from Nicole regarding a business emergency and
leaves an apoplectic Sami behind at the party. Sami vows revenge
on Nicole for ruining her big night.
When Nancy and Craig introduce Colin to Alice Horton, Alice and
Julie realize this is Jennifer's mystery man!
Victor invites Kate over to discuss Philip's problems. Things get
heated but Victor is adamant that while he'll do what it takes to
help Philip, Kate will NOT be moving back in. In a rare moment of
honesty, Victor admits that he is responsible for Lucas's current
state because he was the one who drugged Kate.

Show #: 9199
Tape Date: 11/8/01
Director: Randy J. Robbins
More party
action today as the teens freeze outside watching the Chloe/Philip
show. Inside Lexie has her hands full with Barb, party crashers,
Hope and Rolf. Victor and Kate come to an agreement.
Kiriakis Mansion
Austin arrives as Nicole opens the front door. She's surprised he
got there so soon and invites him up to her room to talk, which
doesn't surprise him a bit (all those rooms in the mansion and
they have to go to her bedroom to talk?). Nicole's happy with the
print out of the missing document and tells Austin he can return
to the party if he wants. First he calls their client and
apologizes for the problem with the missing documents, takes the
blame personally and gives credit to Nicole for solving the
problem. Nicole admires Austin's taking responsibility as most
guys wouldn't. She offers to fax the document, but Austin tells
her the guy wants it delivered to the airport so he can read it
on the plane. They talk about the party and Sami. She takes the
document and tells Austin he's not going to take it. She feels
bad for ruining his evening and will take the document to the
airport herself so he can return to the party. She comments how
her mother told her she'd never understand her as long as she
lives (just where IS Faye?) and Austin stares at her. She tells
him to stop looking like he's about to pray for her or something.
Inside the parlor, Kate tells Victor that Lucas almost died
because of him. She had blamed herself before, but now blames him
entirely being she was drugged by him and Nicole. It wasn't her
fault she lit the fire as she wasn't in her right mind because of
him and that trampy blonde. Kate wishes she could see her son,
but he's so far away. Victor promises to keep personally in touch
with how Lucas is doing and make sure he has the best medical
attention possible. If she needs to visit him, she can use his
jet. She's touched by his generosity and remembers that's why she
fell in love with him in the beginning. They agree to put their
differences aside for the children. They toast to their new
understanding to be the best parents they can. She tells Victor
that Philip doesn't need Nicole living there and wants her out of
the house. His son isn't blind as to what his father is up to.
Victor doesn't admit or deny, just repeats he'll do what's best
for Philip's benefit. He agrees to have lunch with her tomorrow
to talk more about it and she doesn't leave without a check from
him. He writes it out and gives it to her. Kate leaves Victor and
picks her coat up off the floor, calling Nicole a bad girl.
Austin and Nicole tromp downstairs and mother and son ask what
the other was doing there. Nicole figures Victor threw Kate out
and goes for her own coat. Austin tells his mother what happened
upstairs and she admits taking care of some business herself.
The Party Continues
Alice has returned to the party from resting in the nursery and
joined the Horton clique. John is rushing around looking for
their missing hostess. Marlena knows what he's up to as he offers
to get his wife a Manhattan or Cosmopolitan. She declines and
bids him happy hunting as he continues on and bumps into Barb who
doesn't mind at all as she flashes a mouthful of teeth at Mr.
Black. Glen wants to split (Glen's more suited for Greta..speaking
of which..just where ARE Greta, Jack, Jen, Colin and Elizabeth..they've
been missing the last couple days) but Barb insists they have a
right to be there. John can't figure out why Lexie invited Glen
and Barb. Hope and Bo chat with the Horton group as Hope gushes
over Alice's dress. She thanks her for staying with the babies.
Alice tells them the babies are all asleep and she wanted to join
the grown ups (good for you Gran!!). Hope tells them Lexie is the
best friend one could ask for (ha!). Sami tells Marlena about
Austin's departure. Sami assures her mom that Austin's going to
return to the party and tells her about Nicole's call. Sami can't
hold it in and shows her mom her ring and tells her about
Austin's proposal and the two hug. Marlena says Austin has one of
the two best girls in the world (guess Carrie's out of sight, out
of mind?) Some adults finally get a clue about the Philip action
outside. Nancy and Craig first, then the hostess who insists Abe
arrest Philip. Philip apologizes for crashing her party, but
Lexie goes ballistic and calls Philip a rich, spoiled brat (ok,
that much is true) and demands Abe arrest him for breaking and
entering HER party. When Abe tries to calm her down from making a
scene, she insults Abe for not showing any support to her once
again and stomps inside. The guards offer to take Philip downtown
for Abe, but he tells them to leave, NOW. He can't believe armed
guards were hired to protect HIS house. They resist at first, but
Abe threatens to have THEM arrested for trespassing (nice when
you have the power to do that) if they don't leave. They walk
away and Philip apologizes to Abe for what happened. Abe said
Lexie will be okay, but someone else deserves an apology as they
look at Chloe. Craig suggests they get Chloe inside, but Nancy
feels Brady should handle the situation. Later Craig quietly
tells Chloe he'd like for her to come inside as he doesn't trust
Philip, but Chloe wants to make her own decision and stays. Brady
tells her she doesn't need Philip, but Chloe dashes after Philip
as Belle and Shawn watch from nearby. Bo and Hope go to find
Lexie as to when the cake's gonna get cut as promised and run
into John. Bo assures John he's staying with Hope. Barb surprises
Lexie in the hall asking for her $50K. Lexie calls her a tramp
and Barb fires back with "baby stealer" as she
threatens to make her own announcement right then. Bart and Rolf
can tell Lexie's coming apart at the seams. Glen pulls a
reluctant Barb away from Lexie and tells her he's leaving and
doesn't want that kind of life. He just wants to get out of his
monkey suit, have a beer and watch some cable and is going back
to the motel. Barb reluctant says okay and she'll have Lexie's
chauffeur drive her back to their room later. Bart finds Lexie
and tells her it's showtime and to put on her happy face. Lexie
does a 180 and returns smiling to Hope saying it's time for the
cake. We never see the candle laden cake, but Rolf flips his
switch and Hope is flooded with a memory of hugging John. No one
is watching the guest of honor's face as they all have private
conversations and look at the cake. Hope's face is obviously in
pain and Lexie's the only one who sees it and keeps talking so
Hope has to look at her (and the mirror). Barb leans in the
nearby doorway (now that Glen has left) and admires what a great
liar Lexie is as she makes her big Hope is her best friend and
mother of the year spiel. When Hope turns briefly, Bo speaks on
his and son's behalf, agreeing with Lexie about Hope. John can
tell something is going on with Hope, but Detective Brady is
oblivious to it. Down in the dungeon, Bart is wiping tears from
his face at Lexie's brilliant performance as Rolf orders him to
keep an eye on Hope's face as he's going to crank up the heat on
Hope. Later Hope hugs Doug and Julie, who tell Hope they're proud
of her every day. Bo is anxious to get Hope out of there. Abe
joins him and John and they ask about Philip as they chuckle
about not knowing what their women want. Caroline and Shawn hug
Hope as she's fed more PG memories and winces. Lexie tells Rolf
"it's happening" in her ring as she watches her best
friend suffering (slap). Barb yanks Lexie aside AGAIN (will
someone fry her brain please, or at least comb her hair and give
her clothes to wear?). So much for close observation as John and
Abe talk and Bo has wandered off. Hope has memories of Gina and
of John warning her earlier what was happening. Sami intercepts
her and Hope thanks her for coming. Abe talks to Hope next as he
sincerely congratulates Hope and is proud of his wife for coming
up with this party. Marlena next briefly tells Hope she deserved
the party. Hope stares at John and Rolf is happy the moment is
almost there as Hope staggers over to John and begs him to help
her and hope it's not too late as the credits roll.

SO much
going on as the big party continues. I got as much as I could.
Watch as Lexie comes unglued...Barb is relentless...the teens are
in danger and Hope "flatlines". Jennifer seems to have
reappeared...but Alice, Colin, Elizabeth, Greta & Jack are
all MIA on this one.
The Party
Rages On
Outside, we get a replay of Chloe going after Philip. Brady is
crushed as Nancy comforts him, as does Belle. Brady can't stand
it anymore and walks away. Philip asks for privacy and Nancy
lights into him, but is stopped by Craig. Philip tries to get
Chloe to leave with him, but she refuses. He even tells her that
he wants to marry her, but Chloe tells him that all she wants is
for him to leave her alone.Belle and Shawn find Brady at the food
table, stuffing his face. Chloe comes in and tells them that
Philip is gone and that she will talk to him tomorrow as Brady
walks off. Craig and Nancy are worried about leaving Chloe alone
with Philip as she walks in. Nancy questions her but Chloe only
tells her that she will talk to Philip tomorrow, upsetting Nancy.
Craig tells Nancy that he has to work tomorrow and is ready to
leave, much to Nancy's distress. But they leave anyway running
into Philip outside. They tell him to just leave Chloe alone and
that she has moved on with Brady. As they leave, Philip damns
Brady Black for ever returning to Salem.Austin has returned to
the party, much to Sami's delight. But she can't help but give
him a hard time for leaving. She wants to make her big
announcement, but Austin tells her now, this is Hope's night.
Belle and Shawn stop and talk with Bo and Marlena as Sami bounces
up and shows her ring and tells them the news. In the background,
Maggie comments to Mickey that Sami couldn't stand it and had to
grab the spotlight. Somewhere in here, Sami and Jen have a run-in,
with Jen telling her to get over Brandon Walker. She has figured
out that Sami must be the one who told him he wasn't good enough
for Jen. The kids (Belle, Shawn, Chloe and Brady) decide to snoop
around the mansion (Shawn's idea). They end up in the cellar (complete
with cobwebs and creepy music). As they look around, Brady finds
a button, which opens a section of the wall. They decide to
explore. Belle and Shawn walk in, followed by Chloe and Brady.
Chloe notices the door moving and she and Brady dart out, but
Shawn and Belle don't make it and are trapped inside.Back to the
party, Hope begs John for help (telling him that she is dying) as
PopShawn leads everyone in a chorus of "For She's a Jolly
Good Mother". Rolf continues zapping Hope and the flashbacks
continue to flood Hope's mind. Julie makes a short speech and
introduces Doug, who sings "Daddy's Little Girl". As he
finishes, tells a crying Hope that her mother and grandpa would
be so proud of her and is sure that they are watching her right
now (BTW, where is Alice? she seems to have disappeared again.)
She tells everyone that she needs to touch up her makeup and
check on JT. Bo tries to talk her into leaving the party now, but
she refuses, wanting to stay just a bit longer. Downstairs, Bart
is singing "Daddy's Little Girl" in scat as Rolf yells
at him. He has seen Hope and John slipping off and yells at Lexie
to stop them, but she isn't hearing them. Hope heads upstairs,
followed by John a few minutes later. Jen asks Bo if everything
is okay and they talk about how odd it is in this house. Julie
and Jen also talk (about Colin, who has left) and Julie asks if
HE is the one she has been talking about. Jen swears she is NOT
in love with Colin. Hope and John meet upstairs and head to an
empty bedroom. John pulls out his pocket knife and tells Hope to
lie down on her side, telling her to trust him. Hope is scared
and backs out, telling him not to do it. She has more flashbacks
of Gina (as Rolf continues to zap her). Rolf realizes what is
going on and tells Bart to get him some more power by starting up
the generator he is going to kill Hope Brady. Lexie has her hands
full with Barb at the moment. They are arguing and Lexie
threatens her. Barb snaps back and storms off to talk to Abe.
Lexie makes a bee-line over there and he tells Lexie that Barb
has a secret and is ready to tell it. Mickey comes over to get
Abe and Lexie for pictures as Barb hits on Lexie again for the
money. Barb starts eyeing things in the room and pointing out to
Lexie what she wants. (Geez, Barb this is NOT a flea market).
Funny, she wants Stefano's baccarat table. (Like to see her stick
that one in her purse). Maggie comes to get Lexie as Barb tells
her that she is blackmailing Lexie and tells Maggie to ask her
why. Lexie covers and gets out of it, leaving Maggie with a
confused look on her face. Barb notices Lexie's earpiece (which
has fallen out) and wants to know what that is. Lexie storms off,
but Barb catches her talking to Rolf again later. She ditches
Barb as Rolf yells at her to find Hope and John.Bart and Rolf
work feverishly to transform Hope into Gina before John removes
the chip. Lexie keeps barking at Rolf to stop yelling at her as
he tells her to stop Bo (who is wondering where Hope is) from
going upstairs. Julie grabs Lexie and wants to know about this
Barb she describes her as the "woman who forgot to wear her
dress and is wearing a doily instead" (ROFLMAO). She tells
Lexie that Barb told her to ask Lexie about the 2 million reasons
she is there, leaving Julie confused. As Abe congratulates Sami
on her engagement, she hugs him and spots Barb cramming a vase
into her purse. She confronts her in front of Lexie. Lexie covers
and claims that the stuff in Barb's purse are gifts from her. (yeah,
right). Lexie and Barb walk off arm in arm as Barb demands her
money one more time. She wants it by tomorrow noon. Back upstairs
Hope is extremely nervous (you can see the beads of sweat on her
forehead) as John works on her and Rolf ups the power. Bart asks
Rolf what that machine is and we learn it is her vitals. The
lines start to flatline as Hope is jolted and her eyes fly wide
open. Bo is upstairs looking for her and stops to see JT (who is
asleep). Bo wonders where she could be. JT wakes up and Bo
comforts him, telling him that he loves him so much and is proud
to be his papa. Bo goes back downstairs, but no one has seen her.
Marlena informs him that John is missing too and suggests that
they may be together. Bo vows to search every room. Upstairs,
Hope is practically catatonic and John can't get a response out
of her. The flashbacks continue as her eyes roll back in her head.
Downstairs, Bart tells Rolf that he has done it now he has killed
her (watching the monitor, where she has completely flatlined).
He tells Bart to wait and watch. Her monitor starts again as John
tries to get a response from her. Bart asks Rolf WHO came to?
Hope or Gina? She looks at John and says only "John" (but
it doesn't sound like Gina's voice to me). Bo is in the hallway
headed for the door as the credits roll.
