Show #9126 - **
Tape Date: 7/30/01
Director: Randy Robbins
An Okay show as Jen comes closer to a decision about Jack...The
kids go rock climbing...and Jack makes a STARTLING "confession"
to Greta.
Hope & Jen
are at Hope's house as Hope vents to Jen about the blowout she
and Bo had. Jen is playing with JT and talks about how he makes
her want another one. They talk about the Jack & Jen
situation as they do each other's nails. Jen tells Hope that she
thinks Greta is falling for Jack and you can tell she is bothered
by the thought. She tells Hope about how she thinks she saw Colin
the other day. Hope tells her before she even thinks about
pursuing Colin, she should resolve her feelings for Jack. Hope
thinks that Jen isn't ready to let go of Jack yet. Later they go
out on the porch for iced tea. (In one of her deep thoughts, Jen
points out that "Bo & Hope" is only one letter away
from "Bob Hope" and both get a good laugh out of that).
Jen admits that she wants Jack to love her and want her again,
but afraid to take the risk. Hope reminds her that time will not
stand still and there will come a time that she must decide what
to do. But Jen is torn and doesn't KNOW what to do. Hope tells
her just not to wait too long. JT cries and as Hope goes to check
on him, Jen decides it's time for her to go. She says that she
needs help and knows who to call and pulls out her cell phone.
Jack & Greta
Jack is over at dotCom, having flashbacks of Jen telling him that
Greta is falling for him. Greta shows up, kissing him on the
cheek. As they talk, Jack is also having a conversation with
himself in his head and convinces himself that maybe Greta IS
falling for him. As she sits there chattering, Jack panics,
thinking that he is sending out some sort of pheromones to her (lol
as he sniffs his underarms). Some guy is oogling Greta and as he
looks for a way out, Jack tries to push her off on him. Jack's
friend Oliver calls about a job offer, but he must come to Las
Vegas for the interview and is told to bring his wife. Jack KNOWS
that Jen would never go and is afraid to ask Greta to accompany
him, fearing she would see it as a proposal or something. Greta
comes back to the table with some CD's she bought and asks Jack
to go to her place to listen. He tells her about the phone call
and job offer and without even asking, she agrees to go. He
declines the offer and Greta calls herself an idiot, saying it
happens every time she is attracted to someone. She comes on too
strong and that no one wants her. Jack tries to console her,
telling her it's not her, it's him. She is really down on herself
as Jack swears that there is nothing wrong with her. She tells
him to come up with one good reason that he isn't attracted to
her. He hates to lie to her but figures he must. He scans the
room and sees a book cover (something about being gay) and
sputters out that he is gay. Greta's eyes almost bulge out of her
head and her jaw drops, as Jack looks almost as shocked as she
does.
Chloe & Brady
Chloe is at home in her pajamas having flash backs of her "date"
with Brady. He calls her and they both talk about what a good
time they had. She talks about how music is her life and he tells
her that he wants to help her realize her dream. He advises her
to be herself and get in people's faces when she sings. She asks,
like he does with John & Marlena? He chuckles and says that
at least the listen to him. She talks about how comfortable she
felt singing with him. She invites him over and he says he may in
the afternoon. After they get off the phone, Philip calls and
begs her not to hang up. He apologizes for the things he said to
her. After they get off the phone, she admits that she really
misses him. Brady is playing around with one of those "over
the door" basketball goals and foam balls. He says that if
he hits this shot, Chloe will forget about Philip and go for him,
guaranteed. He sinks the shot as he smiles and says "guaranteed!"
The Kids On Fantasy Island
The kids have all finished some project as Mr. Woods announces
that they have free time. Jan has a terrible headache and tells
Jason to leave her alone. She tells him that Paul is the only
'real' man on the island. (blech) She tells Jason that Paul is
going to help get her into modeling. Jason can't handle her
attitude and leaves. Paul (who had been lurking in the bushes)
joins her and tells her that he wants to meet her later down by
the beach near some cave, to talk about her career, of course,
and for her to bring a bathing suit. She promises to meet him
there. Jason comes back by and asks her if she is serious about
modeling. She tells him that Paul is going to make her a star and
for him not to mention it to anyone. They argue and as he storms
off, tells her to call him when she's famous.Mimi keeps an eye on
Kevin (as she has flashbacks of their kiss). They talk about what
happened (as Susan watches them). Penelope tells Susan that she
thinks Mimi is in love as you see a twinge of jealousy in Susan's
eyes. Penelope wishes she had the courage and confidence that
Mimi had or she would go after Kevin. Susan tells her that still
waters run deep and goes on to explain what she means. Kevin
walks up and asks if they are talking about him again.Shawn
badgers Mr. Woods to let them go rock climbing, but he refuses,
saying that none of them are certified. Paul pushes the issue
with the kids and Shawn becomes suspicious. Paul assures them
that he is bored and only wants to help them out. Shawn tries
again with Mr. Woods as Paul chimes in and assures Woods that HE
is certified and will be with them, so Woods finally caves. Mimi
(who has joined the group) pulls Belle aside and they discuss how
they think something is up with Paul and that he is really creepy.
(Why don't you girls discuss this with Mr. Woods???) They talk
about how Mimi found Shawn and Belle on the beach and Belle
finally admits that she is glad that she stopped things when she
did. They talk about sex in general as Mimi gives Belle another
well-deserved lecture on the subject. Philip talks about how
obnoxious he is and tells Shawn about calling Chloe and calling
her names. Shawn urges him to apologize to her. Philip thinks it
is a grand idea, so he badgers Mr. Woods for the phone. He calls
Chloe and does apologize and feels much better. Later, we see
Shawn climbing the side of a fake mountain as Paul, Mimi and
Belle all watch from below. Belle thinks it's too dangerous and
he should come down. Philip joins them and is upset that Shawn
didn't wait on him. Paul assures them that it is safe, but to
himself, thinks he doesn't know what he's talking about, since he
has only ever done this one time before. He says that if Shawn
slips up, anything could happen, and the credits roll.

Show #9127 - **
Tape Date: 8/2/01
Director: Randy Robbins
Another Ok show as Bo confronts Lexie, John learns Kate
is Sarah, Shawn scales the cliff. Highlight of the show (to me at
least) was Brady's singing Music of the Night
to Chloe.
Basic Black
John gives Brady the guided tour of his new company. Brady says
he could work there and John tells him that's good, as he will be.
When Brady asks where his office will be, John corrects him with
where his "cubicle" will be. Cue shocked look on the no
experience 19 year olds face as John laughs, enjoying his joke
and taps Brady's face in jest (yes, don't throw that reality
stuff on us in Salem, ha!). John goes off to get the floor plan,
so Brady calls Chloe on her home phone (not cell). She's dressed,
but still in her room and depressed. She won't tell him why over
the phone and he asks her to meet him at Basic Black. She reminds
him John is there and he asks if she wants him all for herself.
She responds yes, which doesn't exactly break his heart. Brady
tells her they're at 1200 Riverside on the top floor (all you
address keepers might want to note that). Chloe tells him she's
on her way over as she wants to clarify something with him.
In her room at the Inn, Kate prepares for her Sarah Burton
interview. She chants the infamous mirror mirror rhyme from Snow
White asking who's the most unfairest of all. She claims it'll be
the winner and that's her.
John returns and after he and Brady talk about John's office,
John makes a pitch for Brady to work part time while finishing
his college education at Salem U. Philip agrees to think about
going back some day, but sometimes you only get one chance to get
in on the ground floor of a new company. He emphasizes John needs
a young point of view in his company and makes several references
about John being older. Chloe calls from the hallway to find them.
John leaves to go prepare for his interview with Sarah Burton in
the conference room and is startled (literally) to find Kate in
there. (she's wearing a soft pink suit with lavender blouse,
doesn't look like a power suit to me) The two get talking about
how work energizes them and he brings up her lack of work. She
tells him that she and Victor hope to remain friends (ha!) He
asks about Lucas and she tells him happily the same news she told
Austin about Lucas' prognosis. He mentions waiting for someone
and she admits being Sarah Burton.
Chloe tells Brady she wants to prove to him she can sing and
turns on a cd and starts singing opera with it. He slams off the
cd and tells her she is acting like a robot, just singing to
music. She needs to feel the music and know what the lyrics meant.
He doesn't want to hurt her feelings, but she needs to understand
what she's doing wrong. She challenges HIM to show her what he
means and puts on another cd.
He turns on the music and it's Music of the Night from
Phantom of the Opera. Kyle Lowder (Brady) sings the song to
Chloe with emotion and embraces her as he sings to her while they
look into each other's eyes. You can see Chloe melting as he does
so. (BRAVO KYLE! Great job!!!) When he finishes singing, Chloe
tells him he's right and knows she could never do that and flees
the office with him following. He tells her she's showing fear
and that's good. Fears an emotion. He suggests they leave
together and he'll tell John they're leaving while Chloe goes to
get her backpack. He walks in to hear John ask Kate if she didn't
think he'd interview her had he known it was her. Brady
interrupts saying that's right and tells Kate to leave.
Bo vs. Lexie
Iliana answers the door when Bo knocks at DiMansion. She refuses
to admit him without an appointment, but he insists he needs to
see Lexie about if their baby's were switched at birth (a little
more info than the maid needed Bo, ha!). Lexie lurks nearby and
overhears this. She walks in and tries to be light hearted about
the baby switching chat we had with Bo, asking if he's making a
movie or something. When he doesn't give up his quest, she tries
to make it sound like PG drank heavily. She goes on in her new
attitude and Bo asks if it's the house that's making her sound
like DiMera. She claims to know the switch didn't happen and even
hints that maybe Marlo wasn't Isaac's mother by the way Glen
described Marlo. He tells her they may not be able to prove if
Isaac was Marlo's child, but they CAN prove if JT is Hope's
biological child (I see another dna switch in the future) as
Lexie shows a little concern. Lexie tells Bo she'd never lie to
Hope. Bo promises to come after both her and her father if that's
what it takes. She asks Bo if Hope knows how she's treating her
best friend. She warns him to leave her and her father alone. He
asks if she's threatening him and she warns him no, he's the one
threatening his own family. Outside, Bo is determined to find the
truth.
Hang In There Shawn
We continue watching Shawn scale the mountain. Philip keeps
yelling to Shawn as to what he sees (how about a lot of rock?)
Shawn yells back nothing much as Belle and Mimi nervously watch.
Shawn hangs by a ledge and tells himself he can't do this. He
pulls himself up on the ledge and continues scaling as Philip
yells for him to turn on his radio (more goodies he packed) as he
pulls out the microphone. Philip trades places with Paul and
looks in the binoculars as Paul holds the rope. Jan wanders up
asking what's going on. Belle tries to get rid of Jan and her
negative vibes. Shawn gets on another ledge and does a little jig.
Belle gets on the radio asking Shawn what he's doing, but he
assures Belle that they've got him (the rope). Paul turns and
sees Jan rubbing her head, so he unties the rope from his waist
and tosses it at Philip who's busy looking through the binoculars
and doesn't know what Paul did.. Paul comes on to Jan, but Shawn
loses his footing and starts to fall as Philip rushes up and
grabs the rope. Shawn apologizes when he gets his footing again,
but Philip looks at Paul, saying he has nothing to apologize for.
Belle tries to get Shawn to come down, but he sees the clue. Jan
leaves as does Mimi, who can't handle it any more. Shawn thinks
he sees the clue, but nope, not a star, it's a moon. Paul
tells him to keep going and Philip gives Paul the rope while he
tries to calm down Belle. Shawn slips again and Shawn tells Belle
to relax on the microphone. While this is all going on, Philip
gets talking about Chloe and asks if she'd be worried like Belle
is. The two have a little heart to heart while Shawn's scaling
miles above on a cliff. Belle hugs Philip, glad his talk with
Chloe went well.
Jan and Mimi find Jason, just in from a swim. He whines about
having to be woke up before noon and they ask Mimi why Shawn's
climbing a cliff. Jan goes off about how sexy Paul is and Mimi's
"eeewwww", speaks for all of us. Jan goes off on how
Mimi must think about her own father at times and Mimi gets
disgusted. She finally leaves and returns to the climbers.
Shawn finally sees the clue and needs to hop over a couple feet
to get it. It's a gizmo that's secured in the rock for climbers
to hook up to with a yellow star painted on it. Shawn pulls on it
and asks the "expert" Paul how to get it out of the
rock. Paul tells him just to pull on it and Shawn does so. It
comes out, but launches Shawn off the cliff as the credits roll.

Show #9128 - **
Tape Date: 8/2/01
Director: Randy Robbins
A slow show as the teens continue their quest, Jennifer
seeks some help, and Jack continues his conversation w/Greta.
On Treasure Island
Kevin is talking about their recent hike and how Jason & Hawk
disturbed a bird's nest. He mentions a cavern in the center of
the island, and goes on about snakes, spiders. Susan continues
talking about how the cavern can fill with water, suddenly, and
one can drown. As Kevin continues his little lecture, Susan &
Penny seem enraptured with his words. When he asks Penny what she
is staring at, she becomes flustered and runs off. Susan tells
Kevin that Penny likes him, wants to rip his shirt off and jump
his bones, (lol) but Kevin says Penny is not his type. She
mentions Jan, who Kevin says is too obvious. She brings up Mimi,
and he talks a little of their kiss and how they got carried away
a bit....he then says that Susan has never come on to him, and
Susan replies that Kevin has never come on to her either! (Welllllll,
what have we here?) Kevin squirms and says he has to go start the
fire.Meanwhile, at the cliff, a replay of Shawn trying to pull
the piton from the rock. He falls backward and is jerked just
short of the ground by the rope. Belle & Mimi scream, Paul
& Phil rush over to an unconscious Shawn, hanging lifeless by
the rope at his belt. As they unhook Shawn, he jumps up, is
perfectly o.k. and the girls go ballistic, telling him that was
not funny and they thought he was dead. Philip also gives it to
him, and Shawn apologizes to all. Mimi runs off, Phil follows her.
She is upset at the idea that a joke was played on her that she
fell for and she says something about everyone laughing at her (no
one was laughing, Meems, they were all as scared as you)...but
the thought makes Mimi realize this is what she did to Chloe.
Philip gives her a comforting hug.Back at the cliff, Jan &
Jason come up, with Jan giving her usual sarcastic and cutting
remarks. She wants to know why Shawn went rock climbing when Mr.
Woods told him he shouldn't, and both Belle and Shawn make up
some story about a bird, seemingly in distress, and Belle being
upset, but when he got up there the bird flew off, so was o.k.
Jan is not buying it, (it does sound lame) & questions
something he had in his hand. He and Belle have their arms around
each other as he was pretending to have a sore foot. He brings
out both hands, shows they are empty. Jan & Jason stalk off.
Paul nervously asks where is the piton.....but he had slipped it
into Belle's hand. They can see there is no "clue"
except for the star on the piton, Shawn gets an idea and smashes
it into the ground. It breaks and a paper appears. Philip &
Mimi arrive and he reads it. There is something about the belly
button of the island (hmmm, could this be the cavern in the
center of the island that Kevin was talking about?) with an inny
and outy, and a bird in the rock, where the ruby will be in the
eye of the bird.
At Marlena's Office
Jennifer arrives for her therapy session, and nervously sits down.
She talks about Jack, her early days with him and how much she
was in love. She talks about present day and how confused she is
about their relationship. She says she was so distressed when her
own parents divorced, and swore she would never make her own
child go thru that and yet she is doing just that. She talks
about the explosion, the car on the bridge and how Jack saved her
life, how strong he was. Marlena talks about love, how it
changes, like a river, but it is always the same. Jen claims to
be afraid Jack has not changed, but admits she has herself.
Marlena says that perhaps she is not allowing herself to see any
changes in Jack. Jen tells her about the other man who came into
her life briefly, and tho nothing happened she is continually
thinking of him. Marlena tells Jen it is time she allowed herself
to be loved. They talk about Jen coming back, as she is not going
to find all her answers in just 5 minutes. Jen leaves, and the
secretary asks her if she should bill her insurance company. Jen
looks surprised, says that no, she will pay, and the secretary
says she will send a statement out immediately. As Jen goes down
the stairs, she seems bewildered, saying to herself that of
course Marlena is not going to do this for free, she is not 15
yrs. old, she should know that. She sits on the stairs, wondering
what she is going to do.
At Dot Com
A replay of Jack telling Greta that he is gay. Greta is
disbelieving, but remembers various instances (flashbacks to a
few of Jack's goofy scenes - shopping, decorating...) and she
seems to have lightbulbs go off, as Jack must be telling her the
truth. She is delighted he is sharing this.....and really babbles
on and on. Jack is shocked she actually believes him. (The
expressions on Jack's face throughout this entire conversation
are priceless...Matt Ashford is a master at reaction!) She talks
about him finally "coming out" and Jacks insists it be
a secret and no one should know. She tells him she understands
now about why Jen & he haven't been able to work things out,
why they are living platonic, and talks of how she and Jen have
lots in common. He babbles about Oprah's show, and how Oprah is
always saying to find your inner self, and why he loves her, and
mentions again needing Greta to accompany him to Vegas. Greta
agrees, and goes on about being like "girlfriends" and
Jack has a fit. ROTFL at Jack during all this. No, she has to act
like HIS girlfriend. Greta is smiling all over the place, talking
about wearing low-cut dresses, push-up bras and being all over
him. She then talks about him going public. Jack looks very
uncomfortable! And the credits roll....

Show #9129 - **
Tape Date: 8/2/01
Director: Randy Robbins
Another close encounter for Belle and Shawn, Paul comes
on to Jan, Penelope and Susan speak up and confrontations at
Basic Black
Treasure Island
It's now dark and while the rest of the field trip group party
around the campfire celebrating a good day, the two teachers
apparently haven't noticed the prolonged absence of the key
players. Everyone talks about having a good time and one of the
girls expresses her surprise at having a good time in the land of
nerds and big people. The teachers lecture the girl about her
comment and when she says the kids don't mind the name calling,
the teachers explain why Penelope, Kevin and Susan don't speak
back (whatever happened to "Butch", the girl who wore
coveralls?" at the airport). Penelope eyes Susan when she
doesn't speak up and finally does so herself (you go girl!) She
starts telling about how the name calling got started and accuses
Cynthia of starting it by calling her names. When Penelope starts
weakening, Mimi has joined the group and tells Penelope to speak
up as she's not the only one tired of the name calling. Penelope
speaks up and Philip encourages Susan to speak up too. He admits
being guilty of laughing at the different name calling and feels
bad for it. Susan agrees to tell what it's like to be her. She
tells her story about how the name calling affects her.
Meanwhile, Belle and Shawn talk about the latest clue with Paul
hanging on these teen's every word. Belle and Shawn finally head
to the lagoon for another dip in the moonlight (still haven't
checked into camp) as Belle slips out of her clothes wearing a
pink bikini. Belle tries to convince Shawn that they need to lose
Paul, he's a creep. He agrees. Belle asks if they can stop
talking about Paul. Shawn asks what else they should do. She
starts splashing him and they have a little water fight before
hugging and kissing. Later they spread a blanket on the beach (where
did THAT come from?) and start some heavy kissing again. Shawn
wants to stop, but Belle tells him she knows her own cycles and
is not going to get pregnant. He still is not sure, but when
Belle tells him she wants him, he relents..(so much for the
lectures about anyone walking up on them, haha). Belle unties her
bikini top and Shawn finally sits up and insists they don't need
a baby and insists they stop. She feels he's not as ready as she
is, but he tells her he is, but they both had the same health
class and know that's the only way. He needs to know why she's so
determined to make love there. She tells him the atmosphere there
and they start at it again after she drops her bikini top, but
this time SHE stops it and agree there will be another time for
them (any bets that down the road they'll get married and
honeymoon somewhere where there's a secluded beach to fulfill
that promise?). They return to the group to hear Susan's talk as
she blast them that the freaks and geeks are mad as hell and not
going to take it any more! Everyone starts clapping.
In the woods, Paul swigs out of Jason's bottomless flask and
talks to himself about the jewels and Jan (what a slug). He spots
Jan and slithers up to her to talk. He tells her to dump Jason
when she complains about what a pig he is sometime. Paul invites
her into his little thicket to talk and even Jan shows a little
concern about that, but goes in. He continues swigging while
going on about camera angles during a kiss and finally kisses her
to show what he means. She pushes him away and he pretends to
direct her as to how she should perform on camera. Dopey Jan
agrees and does so. He grabs at her top to ensure they're real
and gives her a spiel about having to know her real attributes
before recommending her for a role. He wants a sneak preview and
said all the girls that make it take their clothes off. Cynthia
and Jason head to the woods. He tells Cynthia that Paul has
something of his and heads toward them. He asks the captain back
for his flask and Paul returns it after emptying it. Jan watches
as Cynthia and Jason head away and tells Paul she has to return
to camp.
Basic Black
A replay of Brady's rude manners from yesterday (and more) as he
threatens to remove Kate from the building as Chloe watches from
the doorway. After Brady mouths off, John apologizes to Kate.
When Brady tells John he shouldn't be apologizing, John agrees,
and says Brady should. Brady threatens to not work there if Kate
does and heads out, but John warns him, if he doesn't apologize
first, he won't be working there at all. Brady emits a small
"I'm sorry" and leaves. Kate turns and smirks. She goes
to leave and John insists on talking and goes off for water for
both of them. Kate makes note to thank Brady later for John's
trying to make up for his son's behavior. While John doesn't
approve of how Kate submitted her resume using an alias, she does
have the "right stuff". Kate tells John she doesn't
blame Brady for his behavior as she understands how he's upset
with her because of Philip.
Brady rants and raves in another office and Chloe defends Kate
and John. She finally asks if he hates women the way he's treated
Marlena, now Kate. She didn't think he was that close to Philip
to be upset at the way his mother treated him. Chloe blasts him
about how he even berates her about her singing. He claims he's
just helping her, but she now figures it's because she's a woman.
He calls her just a kid and she asks why he's hanging around with
just a kid then? (what, she's 16 and he's 19, haha) She tells him
if his mother were there, she'd even agree with her analysis. He
gets upset and tells Chloe his mother was a good person and did
everything she could to be there for him. Chloe apologizes for
bringing his mother into the argument and he accepts that. He
does bring up her relationship with her mother and how she treats
Nancy. Chloe starts crying and said she always thought Nancy
deserved the way she treated her, but maybe she needs to get more
information. She and Brady leave on good terms and she leaves to
walk home so she can think. She asks him to say goodbye to his
dad for her and he agrees to. He calls the parking lot to see if
Kate's car is still there and tells whomever the only way she'll
work there is over his dead body.
Kate goes into her personal life with Victor to John, but he
doesn't feel it's appropriate. She does. John disagrees, saying
work is the only issue to him, not office politics. Kate warns
him he'd see more of her than his wife if they worked together
and disagrees. He point blank asks if she's coming on to him.
She's glad he asked that. She admits flirting with him and wanted
to see how he'd react. She wants to show him she's upfront and
honest. She wants to make right with all, including Sami because
of Austin and Will (huh, yeah, right) She asks if she's the kind
of person he'd like to run his company with. He tells her he's
still interested in talking to her about working there and Brady
doesn't have any say in it. She knows when John leaves that she's
in and has to make sure that Brady's out. She looks around for a
good place to hang pictures in her office as the credits roll.

FRIDAY, AUGUST 31, 2001
Show #9130 - **
Tape Date: 8/3/01
Director: Phil Sogard
Time is dragging in Salem as various residents have one
on one chats, Bo begins checking his suspicions, Jack gets
himself in deeper, and pagers are kept pretty busy. (Hard to
believe this is a Friday show)
At Basic Black
John goes at it w/Brady over his behavior towards Kate. Brady
tries to make excuses, but John will have none of it, and tells
him perhaps he should just forget working there and go back to
school. Brady claims he was just protecting the company, but John
says he is perfectly capable of doing that himself. They talk
more, Brady calms down, and gets into a better frame of mind,
even promising to apologize again to Kate next time he sees her.
John tells him to apologize to Chloe too, & Brady is
surprised. He claims he only is helping Chloe w/her singing by
getting her to express her feelings. John is right back at him
saying something about showing Chloe his (Brady's) anger. Brady
realizes he certainly was out of line, and his mood changes to
one for the better.
At The Brady House
Hope opens the door, holding JT, to find Jen has finally
arrived. She explains to Hope she had an appt with her shrink,
and tells something of her visit with Marlena. Jen tells her how
nervous she was, then it all came pouring out. And that she now
realizes that Jack is not all the problem, she has to share some
of the blame. As she talks about having taken Abby abruptly, and
following Colin Murphy to Ireland, which was a big mistake, she
claims she isn't ready for commitment, but is ready to forgive
Jack. They both are folding laundry as Hope tells Jen she wishes
she could suggest to Lexie to visit a shrink, and then tells her
how Lexie freaked when Hope casually mentioned the idea of a baby
switch. She says how Lexie has changed, especially since moving
to DiMansion (o.k., Hope said "her father's house). They go
back to talking about Jack, when Hope asks if there could perhaps
be a future for the two of them, Jen replies that Jack has to
stop playing games and running scams....and then yes, there could
be. (Uh, Oh)
At Dot Com
Greta is still babbling on to Jack about how happy she is he
told her he was gay. She talks of telling Jen she knows, Jack
freaks out, saying Jen doesn't know that Greta knows, and he
doesn't want her to know that she knows that he knows or whatever...(these
lines run together in true Jack fashion, lol) Greta says she
understands now why they just "live together" and yet
they did have a child. She talks about Jack having had sex w/Jen
and then gets into whether he would want to have it in the future
w/Jen. Jack gets more and more flustered as this conversation
continues. (WHY am I getting the feeling Greta is putting him on?
Just yanking his chain?) Wentworth calls about the Vegas meeting,
Greta takes the phone from Jack and does her best sex kitten
imitation to impress the guy who calls Jack "Macho Man".
ROTFL. As they leave, Greta picks up the magazine that had
originally given Jack the idea for his BIG WHITE LIE, &
purchases it, saying to him "knowledge is power". Oh,
the look the male cashier is giving Jack is priceless. Jack is
fast learning the hard way that old adage, "Oh, what a
tangled web we weave, when first we practice to deceive".
At The Brady Pub
Bo is reading the paper, and talking to Caroline about a
story in the paper regarding a baby switch at a Chicago hospital,
and Caroline is in sympathy for the parents involved, but says it
could never happen here. Brady tells her about Hope's
conversation w/Lexie about Marlo drinking like a fish, Isaac
fine, Gina drinking, but not much and yet JT has the FAS. He
tells her how Lexie freaked when he went to talk to her a bit.
Caroline finds this all hard to believe, but Bo tells her how
Stef found the pregnant Marlo, how she disappeared right after
the birth, and her decomposed body shows up in the canal behind
his house, and then the corpse is stolen from morgue. He asks if
that does not sound like a typical DiMeara horror flick. (LOL,
Bo, good one) His pager goes off, and so does he.
At Salem U. Hospital
Chloe arrives at Craig's office, finding both Craig &
Nancy. She says she wants to talk to Craig - Nancy looks a bit
hurt, but leaves. Chloe tells Craig what happened at Basic Black,
how Brady blew up at Philip's mother. Craig realizes something
else is bothering her, and she tells him that Brady said she does
the same thing to Nancy....and asks Craig if she does. She says
they just argue. Craig tries to explain how Nancy feels...and
Chloe goes into her usual rant about not knowing about her
father, and Nancy giving her away. Craig tells her that Nancy has
not told him about Chloe's father, but has told him how much she
loved her baby, and it broke her heart to give her up. Chloe
claims she could never do that, no matter what, and Craig replies
that she does not know that. His pager goes off, and he leaves,
telling her to think about it.
Lexie arrives, bringing Isaac for his checkup. (boy, always went
to pediatrician offices myself....and isn't Lexie a pediatrician
herself? Oh, that's right, she is on that extended maternity
leave!) She runs into Brandon, and immediately breaks down into
tears once more at the idea of maybe losing her baby. Brandon
tries to console her, and she tells him of Hope's suspicions.
Brandon attempts to reason w/her telling her it was idle
conversation, but that Lexie herself is making things worse by
constantly going out of control. Lexie agrees she must pull
herself together and be strong. Brandon's pager goes off and he
leaves.
Out in the corridor, Nancy sees Brandon pushing a small, very sad
looking child in a wheelchair, taking her on a tour. They stop,
and Nancy talks to the little girl, who tells her she was in an
accident, broke her leg, but her mommy died and she misses her.
Nancy kneels down, and says some comforting words. She asks about
the girl's daddy, and learns he left them some time ago. Brandon
says the child's grandmother & aunt are taking her in. Nancy
tells her to always remember that her mother never left her, that
she is always in her heart and will never leave. Camera pans over
to Chloe, who has overheard the entire scene.
Bo arrives, running into the same two nurses who were on duty the
night JT was born. They inquire about JT, and talk about how
hectic it was that night, with 4 babies born within a short time.
Bo asks about security, and they assure him everything is double
and triple checked, but admit there was a small problem with two
babies being in the wrong bassinet. (Flashback to that scene).
But they assure Bo all was o.k. cause the babies had their I.D.
bracelets on. When Bo asks which babies were involved, they
remember one was JT, but unsure of the other. Bo's pager goes
off, and he has to leave.
Lexie sees Bo talking to the nurses, and steps behind a wall to
listen in. A determined look comes on her face as she immediately
calls Rolf, telling him she will be home w/Isaac in 10 minutes.
She says they have a big problem, and need his help! And the
credits roll.
