MONDAY, AUGUST 20, 2001

I have to say, I found Monday's show fun. It was light-hearted
and fast paced with quite bit of humor. The Jack/Jen/Greta stuff
was nice, as was the Craig and Nancy scenes. I have to admit, the
more I see of Chloe & Brady...the more they grow on me. Oh,
and welcome back Sami & Austin.
Jack & Jennifer
Still at the Blue Note, Julie talks with Jack. She offers to help
him get Jennifer back. He doesn't understand her change of heart
and is very suspicious of her offer. He says that if life were a
reality show, Julie would have voted him the "Weakest Link"
or voted him off the island a LONG time ago. He assures Julie
that there is only one person that can get him out of Jen's life
right now and it sure isn't HER. She assures him that re-evaluated
her opinions of Jack and thinks that maybe he HAS changed. She
tells him she knows about him saving Jen and that in Jen's eyes,
Jack is a hero. She assures Jack that if he really wants Jen
back, she can help. She tells him to get Jennifer back, he should
sleep with Greta. LOL at Jack's face as his jaw drops and his
eyes almost bug out of his head.
Hope and Jen are still at Salem Place discussing Jack. Hope tries
to convince Jen that she is losing Jack and that she must act now
if she really wants him back. Jen takes offense to Hope's
meddling. Jen finally admits that she needs to know exactly where
Jack stands with Greta, but in the process, she doesn't want to
look like she IS interested. She decides she needs to go and work
on Greta. She seems like the honest type. If there IS anything
between them, Greta will let her know.
Meanwhile, Austin drops by to visit Greta. She tells him long
time-no see and asks what he has been up to. He fills her in that
he and Sami are getting closer and Greta asks if Sami is finally
getting what she wants. He tells her that things are going great
between them as Greta is kind of curt and sarcastic with him (although
he doesn't catch on). She informs him that things are good with
her as well and that she has a new friend, as she tells him about
Jack. Austin isn't so sure about that situation. Jennifer calls
and asks Greta if she can come by. Austin says that he will take
that as an invitation to leave, but Greta offers him a beer first.
Austin takes that as a sign that they are Jack's beers in the
fridge. He even offers to help Greta with Jack if she wants him
to by making a list of all her good points. (He puts "good
teeth" on the list? Oh, come on Austin! Take another look,
"good teeth" would NOT be on the top of MY list about
Greta!) They are joking and laughing when Jen walks up. From the
hallway, she thinks that is Jack in there with her. Greta invites
Jen in, who is relieved to find Austin there. She thinks to
herself that they sure are chummy and maybe she is wrong about
Jack and Greta afterall. Austin excuses himself (he is going to
dinner with Sami). As he is leaving, he runs into Jack in the
hallway. Jack babbles on and on as Austin looks at him as if he
is nuts. Before he leaves, he gives Jack an FYI, that Jen is in
there. Greta asks Jen if she is playing games, so Jen just comes
right out and asks Greta if she IS interested in Jack. Before she
can answer, Jack knocks on the door and calls Greta "honey".
Greta and Jen both go "HONEY??" When she opens the
door, he calls her "sweet thing" and she asks him what
is up. He invites her to dinner as Jennifer steps out from behind
the door, reminding him that he has to pick up Abby at day camp
and smiles wickedly at him.
The "Almost" Catfight
Roman runs into Kate at the Java Café and makes a crack about
how she looks like the "old" Kate Roberts, did she rob
a bank or something? She just stares at him and asks "Do I
know you?" She tells him that her ship has come in and he
asks what did she finagle out of Victor now. He tells her that
she looks good and it seems to agree with her. He also asks about
her health and she assures him that she is fine. He asks her if
the story she told him about her and Lucas was true. Sami (who
had been window shopping for wedding dresses earlier) walks up
and asks "what story? and just WHO did you sleep with to get
that dress, you whore?" (what a greeting! and HELLO to you
too!) They get into a verbal catfight as Roman breaks it up. He
seems to have Sami's number and side with Kate. He tells Sami
that Kate told him that she and Lucas did something bad and that
Sami covered it up just to get custody. Disgusted, Sami says that
Kate makes her sick (as Kate only smiles). Roman asks what Kate
and Lucas did, but Sami clams up and tells Roman not to believe a
word Kate says. She calls Kate a monster, a whore and some other
assorted names but Kate points out that Sami is now under HER
control. Sami blows up and physically attacks Kate, but Austin
comes up behind her and drags her off. Kate acts upset as Roman
first makes excuses for Sami, then apologizes for her behavior.
Kate thanks him and leaves. As she rounds the corner, sees Sami
and Austin talking (Austin has his back to her) and sticks her
tongue out at Sami while laughing her a$$ off. Sami is stunned
and speechless as Kate struts off, laughing. She meets up with
Roger, who is working trying to get "Sarah Burton" (actually
Kate) a job with John Black.
John & Hope
John is still having flashbacks of him and Gina as Brady and
Chloe pull up honking the horn. Brady gets out and asks what is
going on with John. John tells him he is preoccupied with
business. John checks out Brady's new car and asks what they are
up to. He and Chloe tell him they are just hanging out.
Privately, John asks Brady if he is sure he wants to get involved
with Chloe, after what Philip went through. Brady assures him
that they are just friends. Brady invites John to go with them,
but John turns down the "sympathy ride and sends them on
their way. After they leave, Hope walks up and wants to talk, but
John refuses. He tells her that she can't handle the truth (while
doing his best Jack Nicholson impression ;-) She asks if he is
THAT angry with her because she went to Lexie for help. He
assures her that he doesn't even know everything himself. She
thinks he knows a lot more than he is letting on. He tells her he
can't do this and goes to leave but she stops him. He tells her
that he remembers his closeness with Stefano and that Stefano was
like a father to him and it frightens him. He tells her that they
can talk about Princess Gina all day, but the truth is that it
was him and HOPE on that submarine. Hope asks if he is afraid
that if she learns the whole truth, they will fall in love? She
tries to assure him that this is the right thing to do. They
shouldn't let the past control them they should control it. She
looks him in the eye and tells him to tell her everything.
Nancy & Craig
Nancy and Craig are in bed, grabbing a little "afternoon
delight". She is completely giddy as Sugar comes in and
jumps on the bed. Craig complains, but Nancy says that she is
just hungry. Craig remembers that he is hungry as well and wants
Nancy to go and fix dinner. But she has other things on her mind
like another round. He promises her is she gets dressed he will
take her out to dinner. (cute scenes here).
Brady and Chloe go for ice cream at Salem Place and she calls him
"crazy" as he eats his and then finishes off hers. She
informs him that she wants to do something she has never done
before. From the way she is talking, Brady gets the impression
she is talking about something else. Down boy, she wants to go
bowling. He agrees it just might be fun. So they go to the Salem
Bowl-A-Rama. He is teasing Chloe, telling her that the object is
to throw the ball in the gutter and offers to help her. Awkward
moment as he reaches around her to help her select a ball. He
asks how that feels and she says "good" (LOL). Chloe
keeps throwing strikes and pretends it upsets her. She finally
lets him know that she knows better. As they continue to bowl,
who walks in but Craig and Nancy. Nancy selects a lane right next
to Chloe and Brady. They turn and look at each other and say
"What are YOU doing her???"
Lexie's Decision
At DiMansion, Lexie has Isaac (who is chattering like a magpie).
Eliana comes and gets him for his nap, talking about how a mother
would do anything for her child. After she leaves, Rolf comes in
and asks her what's wrong. She says John Black, I need to get him
out of my life, TODAY. She tells Rolf about John being furious
for her helping Hope. Rolf offers to help her. He says just leave
it all to him. He promises that he can end her guilt and assure
her that she would never lose Isaac. He says that it is all up to
her, to say the word. She tries to reason, by saying that giving
back Hope her memories of Gina is actually what she wants anyway.
Later, she is playing with Isaac and tells him tat she could
NEVER lose him. Mabye Rolf is right, and she should let him do
whatever he wants. She says that IS what Hope wants, afterall.
She looks at Isaac and says "how can it hurt if it helps us
stay together?" and the credits roll.

TUESDAY, AUGUST 21, 2001

OK show. Some of the teens enjoy the romantic atmosphere
(especially Shawn and Belle, ooh la la) while in Salem we have
more of Greta being pulled between Jack and Jen and Elisabeth
discovers Barron's.
Greta In The Middle
Jack and Jen continue their bantering at Greta's door as Greta
becomes the proverbial monkey in the middle for the two. They
finally move to the couch as Jack tells them about his job in the
Congo. Turns out his "lucrative" business there was
plastic nose bones, LOL. The subject of body piercing comes up
and Jen laughingly tells Greta that she's glad she didn't invest
in Jack's company as what would she need with a lifetime supply
of plastic glow in the dark nose bones? Greta and Jen are in
hysterics as Jack watches. He starts to leave and Greta tries to
control herself and asks him to pitch his latest idea. He asks
the peanut gallery (Jen) to be quiet then and she laughingly
agrees as he asks Greta how many languages she speaks. Swamp girl
knows English, French, Italian, Spanish and a little German
through travel and tv. He asks if she'd watch "Friends"
in another language (with subtitles) if she could via a little
gizmo on the back of the tv. Of course she would (why?). He
continues to pitch his idea and Jen asks why they'd need multi
languaged couch potatoes, haha. (DOOL just did something similar
with Spanish) He gets frustrated and storms out, saying he'll
return after Oscar the Grouch leaves the building, then listens
through the closed door. He heads out for Plan B (hiding around
the corner apparently) when he can't hear anything.
Jen and Greta talk about how Jen learned cynicism from Jack as
it's not a Horton trait. Jen leaves, embarrassed by the way she
acted with Jack. Greta tells Jen after today it's very clear Jen
doesn't want Jack back and she admits being interested in him
herself. Jen tells Greta that Jack likes her too and wishes her
luck and leaves. Jack does a little victory dance in the hallway.
His plan is working, but he doesn't want to hurt Greta.
As Jen goes to leave Greta's building, she sees the back of a man
(still wearing the slicker, whatsupwiththat?) inquiring about an
apartment in Greta's building. After he leaves, the doorman tells
Jen the man had an English accent.
Shopping, Salem Style
Caroline is shopping with Colin and Elisabeth. Old Lizzie doesn't
disappoint us as she asks Caroline why anyone would want to live
in Salem (slap). Caroline takes on the challenge and wows
Elisabeth, telling her about Barron's Department store. The two
head off for some shopping. Colin looks in the paper and can
understand why people live in Salem with 3 bedroom flats (apartments)
with pool and fitness center for $850. Colin no sooner finds a
stool at Java CafÈ and voila, Caroline and Elisabeth return
happy and laden with boxes from Barons (doesn't any store in
Salem use plastic bags?) She came, she saw, she bought Elisabeth
says. They had back to Barons for MORE as they deposit
Elisabeth's packages with Colin. Caroline and Colin exchange
glances. The ladies bring back another load of packages,
including new trousers and a yellow slicker for Colin. She agrees
she might like Salem after all and asks to meet Colin at the pub
at dinner time as she and Caroline go off arm in arm for more
shopping after Colin kisses his Aunt in appreciation.
Fantasy Island
On the island, the teens gather around the fire as the teachers
tell them what the plans for the next day are. Belle jumps after
feeling something on her hand and later has to admit to everyone
that it was Shawn's hand. Mr. Woods tells everyone to hit the
sack soon as they have another full day ahead (ha!). Philip heads
off by himself with his guitar for some alone time and suggests
Shawn take advantage of the time with Belle. Jason continues
swigging (just how much does that little flask hold?). Jan
refuses a swig and eyes Paul instead. She splits to get a non-alcoholic
drink and slips into the woods with Paul.
Belle apologizes to Shawn for not knowing it was him and for
being so clueless, but he simply takes her hand and says he needs
to hold her hand more often so she'll know the feeling and
everyone else will know how he stands. Shawn suggests a nighttime
swim and Belle flips up her shirt to show she's got her bikini on
(big surprise there, huh?) Mimi tells Belle privately how happy
she is for her and will see her later in the tent. Mimi sees
Kevin, Susan and Penelope around the fire. She asks Kevin if he's
hot in that shirt next to the fire (oh paleez). She asks to
examine the material of his shirt and he takes it off for her as
Susan and Penelope watch. Mimi puts on Kevin's shirt and takes
his hand to walk on the beach with her to explain the moon,
tides, etc. Susan tells Penelope that Mimi was smart the way she
handled Kevin and Kevin appreciates brains. The two talk about
how to get Kevin's attention. As Kevin tells Mimi about nature,
she gazes at his chest and asks how he got so smart. She pretends
to wipe a bug off his shoulder and rubs his bod asking how come
his skin's so soft and asks if he does sit ups to keep his abs so
tight, etc., as Kevin finally sweeps her into his arms and kisses
her good.
Philip sits alone and remembers yelling at Chloe and calling her
names outside the dance and then seeing her through the closed
door of the plane. He tells Chloe if she were there he'd sing
their song, but does so anyway as he sings I NEED YOU and
pictures Chloe being there. After he finishes singing, he
imagines her stroking his face and when he goes to hold her, she
disappears after telling him to believe in her. He says he does
and shouts he wants off the damn island and to go home (maybe if
he clicked his heels 3 times.. (oops, wrong show, haha).
Paul and Jan vanish into the woods to yap about his plans for her
modeling. (his shirt sure stays white!) She asks if she really
has to take her clothes off for the pictures and he tells her
she'll need centerfolds for movie/modeling roles and kids her age
don't think twice about dropping their pants (c'mon Jan, you're
not that dense..what would he be out driving a tour boat if he
could be casting movie roles?) Shawn pops out of the bushes,
asking what's going on. They tell him nothing and he leaves,
warning Jan to be careful. Jan leaves shortly thereafter and Paul
tells himself that she'll be back.
Shawn and Belle swim around in their little lagoon and he notes
she's shivering. After a few sweet kisses, he tells her she's
still shivering and suggest they warm up on the beach. He wraps
her in the large beach towel and she asks what he'll use and the
two wrap themselves in the towel together and fall to the sand.
They kiss and snuggle as their breathing gets hot and heavy.
Shawn asks if they should stop, but Belle tells him no. We come
back to them still rolling on the blanket with some heavy petting
as Shawn warns her if he doesn't stop now, he won't be able to
later. She tells him she doesn't want him to stop and he unties
her bikini top as Belle watches his face as he does so as the
credits roll.

Bowling fun w/the Wesleys, while hormones rage on Treasure Island
At Bowlarama
The Wesleys are surprised to see Brady & Chloe there, but
Brady suggests they might as well bowl together, men against the
gals. Nancy is all for it, Chloe a bit paniced since this is her
first time bowling. Craig goes first (love how the first ball
everyone tries is one that fits..lol), knocks down one pin, then
manages to hit the gutter with the next ball. Brady shows off w/a
strike, then Nancy pretends to need instructions in what to do (ah,
we can tell, she is a bowler) and throws a strike, Chloe gets 2
pins at her turn, then 2 more. All are enjoying themselves, when
Chloe's cell phone rings, it is Philip -who starts out saying how
he misses her, then realizes Brady is there, gets angry and hangs
up. Brady questions her, Craig & Nancy go for snacks in order
for them to be able to talk. Chloe is upset, but refuses to tell
Brady about the call. The bowling continues, the guys pull ahead,
but one more strike will put the gals ahead, and Chloe delivers!
As they celebrate, her phone again rings and Philip once more
apologizes to her, then says it sounds like a bowling alley. When
she tells him she is there w/Nancy & Craig, he blows up
again, asking if Brady is now a member of the family. He calls
her a lying *itch and once more hangs up on her. Chloe is in
tears and asks Nancy if she can talk to her. They move aside, and
Chloe says she has broken Philip's heart and doesn't know what to
do, as she does love him. They have a nice mother-daughter
moment, as Nancy tells her she knows she does, but it is
something Philip has to work through himself.
On The Island Jason is refilling his flask, and is clearly
several sheets to the wind already. Jan refuses to take a drink,
as Paul comes along. He takes a swig from the flask, then
convinces Jason to get to his tent, alone, and sleep it off.
Later he has the flask, talks Jan into a sip or 2. She feels a
bit weird, and he feeds her the malarkey about modeling and
movies. She strikes several poses and Mr. Slimeball continues his
campaign, talking to himself about this "Locker Room Lolita".
Replay of Shawn & Belle under the blanket, as he tells her
soon he won't be able to stop, and she tells him she doesn't want
him to. He unties her top and they continue the hot & heavy
kissing, when suddenly they hear voices.
Kevin & Mimi are still kissing, and fall down to the sand.
But Mimi pushes away, clearly breathless, and calls a halt. They
get up, start to kiss again, but once more Mimi says hold on
here, as she realizes how couples can get carried away. She tells
Kevin she understands how teen age girls don't intend to, but get
pregnant in spite of themselves, & suggests they take a walk
to cool off. They spot Shawn & Belle, and Mimi feels she has
to step in to stop Belle, before she makes a mistake. She talks
loudly to Kevin, saying what a beautiful night it is, and nudges
him to reply.
Shawn & Belle realize there are people, and jump up, putting
their jeans and shirts back on. Kevin & Mimi come up, Shawn
explains they were swimming, and dried off, and now were going
back to camp. Mimi wants to tell Belle all about the tides and
stuff that Kevin had explained to her (LOL), Belle takes the
hint, tells Shawn to go back to camp w/Kevin. As the guys go
back, Shawn asks Kevin what they saw, Kevin says nothing, but
what they do is their business. Then starts talking about
condoms, and how important it always is to make sure you don't do
something you would regret later. Shawn tells him to bug off,
Kevin leaves, but the message to Shawn was clear, and he
chastises himself for what he was about to do. (Sounds as tho not
a condom in sight).
Meanwhile Mimi and Belle talk about the same thing. Belle is
rather angry that Mimi stuck her nose in, but Mimi tells her that
you are a virgin, and then you are not.....and it only happens
once (Really some good conversations among these teens about
responsibility, and the repercussions of letting your hormones
take control). She mentions nearly getting carried away w/Kevin,
but they stopped. Belle is really angry, but Mimi points out they
were on the beach, any one could see them who came along, and she
was lucky it was her friend and not Mr. Woods. Mimi tells her to
think harder about it....there are lots more nights on the
island, and she can do whatever she wants to later, but she was
only trying to stop Belle and Shawn b/4 they did something they
would regret later.
A replay of Philip seeing Chloe, and her telling him he didn't
believe in her & Philip shouting he wants off the island.
Susan comes along and retrieves his guitar, which he had
forgotten. He blows up at her, then apologizes, and asks about
her friendship w/Chloe. Susan admits Chloe was a better friend to
her, than she was to Chloe, and explains about not wanting others
to see her hanging with Ghoul Girl, as she had enough problems
with the kids then. Philip remembers that he called Chloe that,
too. Susan tries to help him, but he blows up at her again, and
she leaves. He goes to where all the luggage is stored under a
tarp, finds his bag quickly, pulls out his miraculous cell phone
(you know, only those manufactured in Salem have the ability to
make world wide calls! lol) & calls Chloe the first time. He
gets angry, hangs up....then calls again (see above), and once
more gets angry, calling Chloe names and hangs up.
As he sits alone in the dark, he remonstrates with himself, and
prays for help to get Chloe back. Fadeout, and the credits roll.

THURSDAY, AUGUST 23, 2001

because Doug returns, Bo & Hope are together and I especially
loved the singing)

Friends talk on the island, Bo blows his stack and Chloe
and Brady sing a couple duets.
Hope Needs A Sign "Martha Stewart Doesn't Life Here"
Hope's driving home and realizes how late she is. She figures
Bo's going to be upset. Sure enough, Bo walks into the house and
finds Doug and Julie taking care of their grandson. Laundry is
piled in the middle of the living room. D&J tell Bo they
picked up JT at the pub and Bo knows what Hope was up to and
rants she should have been home with her son instead. (hmmm,
probably what she was thinking when he was in Ireland) Hope
returns home and notes how tired JT is and needs a nap, so Julie
takes him right up. Doug and Hope try to lighten the mood in the
room, but Bo continues to rant about the dirty house and Hope's
absence and ability to keep secrets. He throws a pile of clothes
on the floor and she tells them they were clean, she did the
laundry this morning. When he continues to be upset, she tells
him she has a baby and not as much time as she used to to do
housework, but he can do it if he wants to. Julie and Doug head
to the kitchen for cheese and crackers. As Hope starts tidying
up, Bo tells her he doesn't expect her to do all the housework
and never has, but he would like to have her home when he gets
there. He asks Hope where she was and she tells him she saw that
JT was well looked after, but doesn't tell him. In the kitchen,
Doug and Julie wonder what to do. Doug suggests they head out the
back door (LOL) and Julie says B&H will know they overheard
them arguing if they do. Love Doug's response (DUH!). Back in the
arena, Hope tells Bo she was with a friend. Bo figures it was
John Black she was with and can't stay away from. Doug and Julie
listen in at the door as Bo and Hope argue about her having to
know about her past. She tells him she loves him and he tells her
that he loves her too, he just doesn't trust her and is upset she
won't trust him by telling him what she's hiding from him. He
tells her to handle what she has to without him and leaves to
find his own damn dinner.
After Bo leaves, Julie and Doug make haste out the front door and
see Bo standing on the front porch. They bid him good night and
Hope joins him on the porch. She offers to scramble some eggs and
they quietly talk. He tells her that it's not the fact that JT
isn't his son, but the fact she might find out who fathered JT
with her search for her past and care for him. She assures him
she loves him and no one else.
The Island
Back on the island, Shawn remembers when he and Belle were on the
beach. He tells himself out loud how stupid he was and Mimi
overhears and gives him a lecture about it. She tears into him
about what happened and loses it when he admits not having
protection. He tries to explain how they went swimming and Belle
got cold. He was trying to warm her up and they started kissing
and got carried away. He confesses how they got carried away and
lost control. Mimi continues to blast him while Shawn tells her
nothing happened. She tells him she doesn't want to see either
him or Belle hurt so when his hormones take over, put his brain
into gear. Paul hears loud talking and wanders in. Mimi heads
back to camp after Paul calls her Shawn's girlfriend. She assures
him she's not. Shawn asks what's next with the treasure hunt and
Paul tells him danger. They talk about the rock climbing the next
day (guess he packed the rock climbing gear in the same bag as
Philip packed his guitar in?).
Philip feels bad for what he said and asks for God's help to get
Chloe back. Someone touches his shoulder and he smiles. It's
Belle. She knows his mind is stuck on Chloe and he used his
cellphone without Mr. Woods knowing it. He tells Belle about
being at the bowling alley with her parents and Brady. Philip
figures Brady was waiting for him to leave town to move in on
Chloe. She assures him nothing's going on with them (LOL) and
Chloe doesn't even like being around her folks. Belle tells
Philip that Chloe's told her how much she cares for him. He tells
her about calling Chloe a B*tch and a liar. Belle asks what Chloe
responded with and he told her he hung up before she had a chance.
Belle changes her mind and tells him to worry, worry a lot! He
missed Chloe so much and needed to hear her voice and found
himself yelling at her. Belle tells him he's just jealous as he's
in love with Chloe. He's the same sweet guy she's been friends
with for a long time. He berates himself for calling Chloe ghoul
girl and b*tch. Belle warns him if he and Chloe don't get back
together, it won't be the end of the world. She tells him to be
Philip again and he has to like himself before he expects Chloe
to like him again. They tell each other they love each other and
will be friends for life and hug as Shawn walks out from the
bushes and watches/listens. Philip tells Shawn he's a lucky guy
to have a girlfriend like Belle and they all agree it's late and
best get to bed.
Slimeball walks up behind Mimi and she tells him he's old enough
to be her father when he comes on to her. She tells him off (why
doesn't she warn Mr. Woods about his behavior?).
Back In Salem
Brady leads a blindfolded Chloe (now in a long dress with
spaghetti straps - must have stopped by the house to change out
of her bowling duds?) They laugh over the bowling experience,
both having had a great time and she even enjoyed being with her
mom. He flips on the lights on a gazebo in the park and unties
her blindfold. He tells her the parks department has it available
for weddings, parties, etc. He found the hidden switch to the
lights when he was 15 and use to bring dates there. They talk
about Philip's calls and she's surprised he doesn't give her his
usual lecture about Philip as he tells her whatever happens will
happen. He does feel that Philip is totally the wrong guy for her
though. She nicely tells him it's her decision and to be quiet
about it. She looks around and says the place reminds her of
something, the set in The Sound of Music when Lizel sang
to the cute blonde guy (Rolf) when she snuck out of the house.
They launch in to a duet of "I am 16 going on 17" and
do a fantastic job of it, this spoiler is standing up applauding!
Bravo!! (I'm enjoying these two together, I know there are many
Philip/Chloe fans, but this is just MY feeling). Chloe thanks
Brady for the special time he's given her. She thought it would
have been horrible with her friends gone to Puerto Rico, but
feels she and Brady are going to be real good friends. They talk
about how far their relationship has come and she hopes their
relationship will last forever and hugs him. They talk about her
favorite things which leads into another Sound of Music
song and they do another great job. (I've missed live music on
DOOL and this was a special treat) Chloe forgot a word in the
song and Brady tells her what it was, LOL. They end the song with
her sitting on his lap and hugging as the credits roll.

It's a NEW DAY in Salem...as all the action takes place
there. Victor has a plan..."Sarah Burton" (Kate) gets
an interview...Colin & Elizabeth argue...as do Jack &
Jennifer.
At Greta's "Flat"
She goes out for the paper and as she bends down to get it, Colin
trips over her (literally). They recognize each other and chit-chat.
He informs her that he is there to look at a "flat" in
her building. She openly flirts with him until the barracuda (Elizabeth)
rounds the corner and breaks it up. She is very rude to Greta and
then informs Colin that the place is too small. After Greta
retreats to her own apartment, Colin and Elizabeth argue over the
same stuff. She hates Salem and he accuses her of being stuck up
and he can't understand what has happened to her. He calls her
dismissive, condescending and rude and asks her to at least make
an effort. She misses her home and friends and has nothing in
common with these people. After he chastises her, she agrees that
she is being horrible and wants to make up. In her apartment,
Greta thinks that Elizabeth reminds her of Nicole Walker and
chuckles at the thought of those 2 going at it. She calls Jack
and invites him to lunch (see below). After Colin and Elizabeth
leave, she remembers that she forgot to ask his name.
At Dhe Deveraux's it's another lovely morning. Jack has fixed
breakfast for Abigail (Oatmeal Deveraux..yuck). She isn't too
pleased either, she wanted waffles. Jen comes down talking about
how late it is. Abby informs her that if she and daddy slept in
the same room, she would already be up. Jen offers to make
waffles for Abby, which upsets Jack. After she leaves, they argue
(hey all you country music fans, I have a new theme song for
J&J Tim McGraw's "Angry All the Time") Jen wants to
talk to Jack about Greta and warns him not to hurt her. Jen says
that she believes that Greta is falling in love with him and that
he will only hurt her. Jack doesn't believe it but Jen says that
if he cares about Greta, not to lead her on. She accuses him of
leading Greta on only to make Jen jealous, which he denies. Jen
retreats to her room and begins to think again of Colin. She
can't get him off her mind and wonders if that was him she saw
and if so, what is he doing in Salem. Meanwhile, Greta calls Jack
and offers to take him to lunch and then go job hunting. He tries
to make excuses, then finally agrees to meet her at dotCom in
half an hour.
Titan
Nicole barges into Victor's office with a report about how Roger
Collins is doing head hunting for John Black's new company.
Victor is upset and says that he must keep an eye on Basic Black.
Nicole offers to handle Roger, but Victor tells her no. Nicole
asks what Kate is up too these days and talks about milking
Victor for money. Victor informs her that he knows how to handle
Kate and for her not to worry. He hints that he has plans for
Kate, but won't share them with Nicole (which drives her a little
crazy). After she leaves, Victor says that the situation is about
to get very interesting. (Things that make you go hmmmmm, is he
setting Kate up for a fall?)
Meanwhile, Kate HAS Been Busy
She gets a call from Roger, who tells her that things are looking
good for "Sarah Burton" and she will get her interview.
She also calls about Lucas. She and Austin meet at dotCom (why is
everyone meeting there, is the Java Café set "out of order"
today?) Austin tells her that she really looks good and he can
tell that she is happy. She tells him the news about Lucas, she
talked to the doctor and he told her that when Lucas comes out of
the coma, he can possibly have a full recovery and lead a normal
life. She talks about children and when Austin joins in, she gets
this look of horror, thinking Sami is pregnant. He assures her
not, but someday. Kate tires to discourage him but he insists
that Sami has changed for the better. But Kate talks about how
Sami plays him for a fool, calling her clever and devious,
calling him naïve. They talk about Carrie as she recounts all
the things that Sami has done over the years. Austin says that is
all in the past and that Sami has changed. Kate tries to reason
with him but he is unmoved. She tells him that someday, he will
have the painful decision, choose between his mother or Sami.
Kate gets a call from Roger informing her that she has an
interview with John Black in half an hour. She vows to bring down
Victor.
Over At Basic Black
John is showing Marlena around the unfinished offices. Both are
excited about his new venture. She sits on his lap as she talks
about maybe being his assistant. "What, quit your day job?"
jokes John. Well, she offers to help him screen applicants. They
look at the resume of Sarah Burton and both are impressed.
Showing a twinge of jealousy, Marlena suggests a picture. Later,
they are discussing how to handle the Hope situation. Marlena
says on one hand, she thinks John should tell her everything but
on the other hand, she is hesitant. The phone rings, it's Roger
Collins, telling John that Sarah is available for the interview.
Marlena offers to stay and help, but John assures her that all is
okay. They make plans to have dinner at Tuscany and after Marlena
leaves, John looks over Sarah's resume one more time and is
excited.
At The Hospital
Sami (who is ACTUALLY at work?) and Austin are talking. Austin
offers to pick up Will at his play date. Brandon is in the
background eavesdropping on their conversation. Austin tries to
reason with Sami about getting along with Kate. But Sami wants to
talk about when they are married and have a baby. After he
leaves, Brandon offers to take her to the cafeteria for juice (since
she is early for work). Sami rubs it in about her relationship
with Austin and Brandon scoffs at her over it. Sami insists that
all is well between her and Austin as Brandon is clearly
aggravated with her. Sami talks about how wrongly Carrie treated
Austin (whasup with all the references to Carrie lately? is she
coming back?) Sami confesses that she cannot be totally honest
with Austin about some things, so she tells him what he wants to
hear. Brandon asks how she could share her life with someone she
isn't honest with and tells her that she has nothing in common
with Austin. He says that she needs someone who will love the
REAL Samantha and that Austin is NOT that guy. She gets upset and
leaves. Outside, she says that Brandon is wrong, she and Austin
belong together. Brandon vows to never let her marry that "self-righteous
jerk", and the credits roll.
