Show #9111 - **1/2 (extra 1/2 star for Jack & Jen scenes)
Tape Date: 7/9/01
Director: Roger Inman
Jack and Jen fans will like their scenes (I admit I do
like the "serious-Jack" as opposed to the "clown-Jack")
as they have a serious discussion...the Chloe/Brady pairing is
beginning to grow on me...and of course there's (more than)
plenty of silliness with the teens.
Jack & Jen are still having their discussion. Jack
repeats that he loves her as she stands there in shock,
speechless. She tells him that when they were married, he never
showed her enough love. He vows to do whatever it takes to prove
to her that he loves her, but she says that he doesn't have the
capacity to love. Jack tries to defend himself and his actions as
he talks about the things he did was all to provide for her and
Abby. Jen asks what's wrong with just a plain job with medical
insurance and 2 weeks vacation. But he says that she KNOWS that
wouldn't be for him. She says that being a parent changed her and
should have changed him as well. He talks about when she was
starting out as a reporter, he was so proud and supportive of her
and nurtured her along and he expected the same from her. She
snaps at him, then immediately apologizes for hurting his
feelings. She says that all she wanted was for him to BE THERE
for her. Jack even offers to stay at home and play "mommy"
if Jen wants to work, but she points out that isn't the issue, as
they have separate finances now. He talks about her despising
him, which she denies. BUT, he says he LOVES her, which makes her
very uncomfortable. She reminds him that their life together
wasn't all bad in her eyes. There were times when she was happy
and truly loved him. He reminds her of their wedding vows (complete
with flashbacks, beautiful). Jack says that he had no idea that
that long winding road (that Jen speaks of in her vows) would
diverge into 2 separate paths. She says that looking back, she
thinks it started falling apart immediately, even on their
honeymoon. She talks about him getting involved in a scam and
running out on her. She says that she has changed and isn't the
same person he married. He swears he has changed as well, but she
has her doubts. She wants her own life now, NOT married to him.
You can see in his face that his really crushes Jack so she
immediately apologizes and says that she is sure that there ARE
good times ahead, with them as parents to Abby and that he is
such a good father to her. But Jack wants to be close even when
Abby isn't around. Jen thinks that they are doing okay right now.
But Jack says that they can do better. He tells her that he has a
plan and wants her to go with him somewhere.
Chloe is rushing around getting ready for her "date"
with Brady. Nancy asks where she is going as Chloe is vague and
says with a "friend". The doorbell rings and Nancy
opens the door to find Brady there, to which she isn't too
pleased. She reminds him that they have already met at Tuscany
and that he was very rude to both her and Craig (although Brady
doesn't even remember it). She lets Chloe know immediately that
she disapproves, to which Chloe doesn't care and informs her
basically that it's an NYB (none of your business). As they
leave, she comments on his "sporty van" which
embarrasses him a bit. So next time we see them, they are on
location at (what looks like a real) car lot (Star Chrysler &
Jeep) looking at vehicles. Chloe admits she knows nothing about
cars and looks mainly at the colors. Brady doesn't see any he
likes (she likes the Jeep Cherokees, well, who doesn't?).
Something catches his eye, a black (how appropriate) convertible
Jeep Wrangler and rushes over to it. The salesman beats a path
over (how typical, usually, they don't even let your foot hit the
pavement) and starts his pitch (as he openly flirts a bit with
Chloe). Brady decides THAT is the one he wants. Later, we see
them driving along in it and he asks if she is hungry. He wants
to drive over to Green Mountain and try it out on the curvy roads.
She looks through his CD's for music and pops in (surprise) opera.
He sings along, acting silly and she calls him a goofball. He
tells her that "it takes one to know one" in Italian
and they laugh together. (You know, I didn't think it possible,
but I am starting to like these 2 together).
Land Ho!
In case you missed on Friday, you get a replay of the boat (the
Miss Christi) hitting the sandbar, Belle getting hurt and Mimi
doing a nose dive overboard. The captain raises hell with Paul
but he assures him that all will be okay. He points out that they
are at the wrong island and that it has criminals on it, but Paul
assures him that all will be okay. Jason and Jan worry if that
they don't make it to the island, they will have to go home.
Shawn rushes over to help Belle, but he and Philip can't get her
to wake up. She comes to and they explain what happened. She
swears she is okay as Ms. Perez checks her out. Mr. Woods meets
the "real" captain as he explains they must wait until
high tide to make it to the island, but Paul says they can
transport them in a several trips on the inflatable. Woods
finally gives. Belle assures Ms. Perez that after her head injury
last fall, she knows the signs of a concussion and that she is
fine and the wound is only a scratch. She rags on Philip a bit
for knocking the breath out of her and he apologizes. Jan has
some smart-ass remarks about the "precious Belle" and
Philip tells her to just go away. Belle notices that Mimi is
missing as we see her flailing around in the water. Jan is a real
jerk to Belle, who lets her have it and puts her in her place.
Jason comes over and sees the blood and asks if there is a
catfight going on. Shawn and Belle continue to look for Mimi and
see her in the water. Jason shouts "Baywatch moment" as
he, Shawn, Philip and others dive in. But they are having too
good of a time to help Mimi and seem to forget about her as she
yells for help. Jan comments that she doesn't need all those guys
to help her, she has her own personal flotation device (ROFLMAO!!)
As they watch, Penelope tells Susan she doesn't know how to swim,
so Susan promises to teach her. As the guys play, Belle and Jan
jump in to help Mimi. Jan yells for Jason (claiming that her top
came off, even though you can clearly see she still has it on).
Then, hoping to attract attention, Mimi begins to yell that her
top is coming off too (as she pulls at it). Belle makes it to her
and points out that she DOES know how to swim, but Mimi claims
that her pants are pulling her down. We then learn (from Susan)
that she saw Mimi hitting the vending machine before they left
the hotel and Kevin comments that she is like the "beef
jerky" guy from Survivor 2. Shawn swims over and tries to
help her, by taking off her pants. She has on those cargo pants
and from all the candy and stuff floating around on top of the
water, must've had every pocked crammed full. All the guys decide
to swim a race to shore and take off, leaving Belle and Jan to
help Mimi. Paul has flashbacks to his prison days and we learn
that he is illiterate and cannot read one word. He realizes that
he won't be able to read the map. The guys make it to shore, with
Shawn winning the race and Philip coming in last. Philip says he
lost his focus but Shawn realizes he is too preoccupied with
Chloe. Philip agrees and thinks maybe he should just go home as
Shawn shakes his head. Paul has the map, but can't read a lick of
it. He isn't worried though, he says those little bastards will
lead him right to the treasure. He hopes that they have a good
time while they can, it may be their last chance. And the credits
roll.

Show #9112 - ***
Tape Date: 7/10/01
Director: Herb Stein
It's here at last... the night of the BIG K, as some
couples have a night out in Salem & various twosomes discuss
relationships, both at home and on the island.
At Lookout Point Brady & Chloe
are reclining in their bucket seats, looking up at the stars.
They talk of his new car, and what a hip happening vehicle it is.
Brady tells her to "lose the glasses", as they don't go
with his hip happening car. She takes them off and breaks them in
two (About time!). Chloe talks about not being "normal",
& Brady asks about her & Philip. She talks of how
wonderful it was to kiss him, how great she felt when he told her
he loved her, but that she always felt she was playing a part,
and was never herself. Brady tells her some day someone will love
her for who she is, and how she is....and then they decide get
into that hip happening car and get something to eat, as they are
starved.
At The Brady Pub Jack & Jen arrive outside at the same
time as Nicole & Brandon. They chat for a few minutes, &
Jen forgets her manners, as Jack has to introduce himself. Inside
they sit at separate tables. Brandon mentions their mother says
Paul has not been around, and questions Nicole about their
conversation. Nik tells him about the can, the jewelry "gift"
for their mom, and the questions Paul had about Shawn D. and the
school trip. Brandon is immediately suspicious, knows the jewelry
was not a gift for Fay, and probably loot from some heist. (gee,
ya think?) Jack is trying to explain to Jen that he wanted them
to go out, to show her they could be civil and nice to each other
w/o Abigail around. Jen gets upset, telling him she thought she
made it clear there was no chance of a reconciliation between
them. Cassidy's mother stops by the table to greet Jack, is
introduced to Jen who makes sure she understands she is Jack's ex-wife.
They talk of setting up a play date and she leaves. Jack gets
upset at Jen's attitude (it is getting tiresome imho, please
don't hollar at me, as I love these two) and rails about how he
can never seem to please her, that no matter what he ever did, it
was not enough, and he was sorry if he was concentrating on other
things besides being romantic all the time. The look on Jen's
face changes from incredulous to anger, as she gets up and
leaves, stopping to ask Brandon for a ride. Victor arrives, at
Grampa Shawn's request, and they talk of DiMera having left town.
Shawn says yes, but his daughter and grandson are still here, and
DiMera holds family in very high esteem. As does Shawn. He tells
Victor of Bo's plans to go to Ireland to investigate Di Mera, and
begs Victor to try and talk to Bo. (Victor is Bo's natural
father, for those of you who don't know). Victor doesn't think it
will do much good, but agrees to try. Nicole comes over to join
her "boss". Yeah, right. LOL. Outside the Pub, Jen
thanks Brandon for helping her get out of there, as otherwise
Jack might have followed her. They talk a bit, and Brandon
invites her on a date to the Blue Note. Jack overhears and is not
pleased at all. Inside, Nicole looks for Brandon, Jack tells her
he is outside with Jen. Jack makes a phone call, asking someone
if they would like to go dancing (Gee, couldn't be Greta, could
it?) As Victor & Nicole prepare to leave, she spots Chloe
& Brady coming in. Victor is visibly upset at the sight of
them, telling Brady "we are going to be talking of this
later", as he & Nicole walk out the door.
On The Island
Hmmmmm, everyone is all dried off, and in different clothes.
Philip & Mimi are talking, with her apologizing again for
what she did, and also for scolding Philip about what he did to
Chloe, telling him he may be kicking himself, but at least he has
had the experience that led to this heartbreak of his, quoting
the "better to have loved and lost, than to have never loved
at all" line. She talks of being dateless until 28, giving
new meaning to the term "late bloomer". Philip gives
her a pep talk, telling her she has to exude confidence....and
stop hanging with Jan. Shawn finishes putting up his pup tent,
inviting Belle inside, and it collapses on them. They are
laughing....and nearly kiss, as Paul's voice is heard offering to
help. They come up and Paul offers to help, but Shawn says he can
manage to fit it himself. Paul then offers to help them in their
search, and Belle begins to blab about it, but Shawn cuts her
off, once again saying they can handle it themselves. Paul then
tells them some tale of the "tragedy of 1990", where a
group of teens were on the island, 5 went for a hike, running
into some drug smugglers. Their heads were found bobbing in the
ocean, and their bodies never found. Belle is properly scared,
but Shawn realizes Paul is putting them on. Jan comes out of the
woods, looking upset and says a few words, then leaves. Shawn
talks to Belle about the night hike, as Paul follows Jan. Paul
catches up to Jan, and starts giving her the "you should be
a model" line, telling her he knows people back home, and
will set her up. (Oh, please, give me a break, this man is SO
full of sleaze, shudder). She swallows the line, leaves and Paul
tells himself that little Jan is so HOT, but he does not have
time for this. It is time to get serious and start the search. No
more fooling around. Shawn & Belle have changed clothes (her
hair is no longer in braids, either) and are evidently on the
night hike. They come across a lagoon and decide to go for a swim.
Both conveniently have bathing suits on (LOL) and slip into the
water. Shawn naturally plays games, hiding under the water, and
coming up & scaring her. He pretends to be a "floating
head" and they horse around a bit. Music starts to play from
camp.....a song they danced to at Last Blast. They sort of slow
dance together in the water. Shawn says how their first date was
such a disappointment, and Belle is taken aback. He tries to
explain how he wanted it to be different, to end differently but
is having a hard time putting it into words. So he says he will
just show her. He kisses her, and kisses her, and she kisses back
and they kiss each other. And the credits roll (hey, they are
still kissing, sigghh, LOL).

Show #9113 - ***
Tape Date: 7/11/01
Director: Phil Sogard
The Blue Note is the place to be, Mimi interrupts another Belle
and Shawn kiss, and John and Hope talk.
Hi Ho, Hi Ho, To The Blue Note We Go
Jack is driving to the Blue Note with the most dependable person
in town, Greta. He tells her this, making her sound like a dog vs.
human. She gets tired of him repeating they're JUST FRIENDS,
telling him she knows that's all they are. Jack arrives and
excuses himself to wash his hands as he looks around for Jen. He
plucks a rose from an arrangement, pricking his finger in the
process. He's so anxious about Jen's getting there that he can't
even decide what to drink and Greta orders a couple champagnes.
She finally tells him to tell her why she's there or she's
leaving. She doesn't like being used. Colin and Elizabeth are
already at the Blue Note drinking (new Salem past time?). She
wants out of Salem as he thinks about Jen. She complains and asks
what Salem's known for and jokingly kids the mall, Salem Place?,
LOL. Colin's mind is drifting back to Africa as he's about to
kiss Jen. Brandon and Jen chat during their drive to the Blue
Note in his convertible with leather seats. He learns who Jack is
and how difficult the current situation is for her. Jen vows no
more Jack talk as she's in a cool car with a cool guy on the way
to a jazz club! He asks about her. Their talking comes back to
her being a good mom, then Jack again. (they're still driving
after Jack and Greta are already at the Blue Note..did Brandon
take the scenic route?). She tells Brandon she's been afraid to
date since what happened with Jack. Brandon tells her this isn't
a date, so don't worry about it and she appreciates it and thanks
him for rescuing her. He tells her that's his specialty, rescuing
beautiful women. She feels bad it didn't work out with him and
Sami. They finally arrive and go in. Elizabeth bumps into a
waitress on the way to the ladies room and tells the "twit"
to watch out. The waitress mutters "bitch" under her
breath and Brandon tells her he agrees as he and Jen observed
what happened, and asks if she's okay. Cute smile from the
waitress. Jack sees Jen walk in, so does Greta and figures out
what he's up to. Greta tells him not to worry about it, Brandon
won't take advantage of Jen. She asks if they should go say hello
and when she turns around, he's under the table hiding. Greta
rushes up and insists Brandon and Jen sit in the other room and
they finally do, but Jen tells Greta she's been hanging around
with Jack too much as she's starting to act like him. Greta
returns and Jack gets up from under the table in time to see
Brandon put his arm around Jen's shoulder to lead her into the
other room, determined not to leave now. Brandon orders for him
and Jen and the same waitress flirts with him. Colin looks around
the room for Elizabeth, but Jen's back is to him. When he returns
to the bar, Greta comments on how Colin is the most handsome men
she's ever seen and as he orders a drink she hears his English
accent and gets even more excited. (Hmmm, sign of things to come?
They might make a good couple.) Elizabeth joins him and Greta's
sad the best ones are always taken. Jen talks about Sami and
Austin. (Who are they? Haven't seen them in weeks). Brandon hints
for Jen to start seeing Austin if he's such a nice guy and she
figures he'd like her to take Austin out of the picture for Sami.
Jack figures he's got to nip Jen and Brandon's relationship in
the bud (ah, another Barney fan). He loudly pretends to be just
arriving at the Blue Note and seeing Greta there. Jen watches as
he offers to buy Greta a drink. Jen asks Brandon to take her home
as she misses her little girl something awful. They run into Jack
and Greta in the doorway and Jack asks if their date didn't work
out. She hears Colin's voice and sees him in the bar. Lexie and
Rolf are back arguing at DiMansion (ok Laney, I give ;-) about
what to do with Hope. He tells her it's her decision between her
son and her best friend and she chooses (drum roll) her son as he
needs her (even though he rarely sees her). Rolf goes to call
Stefano with the news as Lexie instructs him to tell Stefano she
doesn't like his idea. Rolf said if they're going to act, it's
got to be now. Later, Illiana brings Isaac in to see his mama and
Rolf takes him, telling Lexie to say goodbye to her son. She
threatens to kill him if he doesn't give her son to her. Rolf
loves to hear that and tells her that's what it will feel like if
the authorities take Isaac away from her. They have to move
quickly to change Hope into Gina before she figures it out.
The Kiss Continues As We Get A replay of Belle
and Shawn in the water for their first kiss (guess they're making
up for lost time as once they start kissing, they keep kissing
and kissing, haha). Philip and Mimi watch from the bushes. Mimi
starts yelling that she sees something and B&S hear her and
figure they better leave (don't the 2 teachers mind the kids are
loose on the island, especially after all the warnings? and isn't
anyone else nervous about what might be slithering on the ground
and in the water there besides me? haha) After they join Phil and
Mimi, she acts surprised it was them (what a party pooper). Shawn
tells Philip about what happened with the can, and how one of the
jewels belongs to his great gran. Paul lurks in the background as
the foursome debate letting Paul help them. He decides to join
them and insists on being called "Uncle" Paul (oh, give
me a break, they're not 10 year olds). He puts his arm on Mimi's
shoulder, saying they'll search together the next day. Mimi takes
his hand away and says not tomorrow as Philip puts his arm there
to protect her. Paul leaves and the foursome talk about taking a
private walk the next day to look at the fauna. They gag about
the "Uncle" Paul bit and Mimi tells them she's not even
desperate enough for that old man. Paul lurks nearby listening in.
Mr. Woods blows his whistle. Philip calls him Captain Von Trapp (LOL,
love the reference to Sound of Music as it's time for their
nature walk).
Hope calls John from her car parked in front of his building. She
asks to speak to him. He tells her Marlena is upstairs working
and he agrees to comes down and talk with her. He tells her
Marlena okayed him telling Hope about Gina. They sit in Hope's
car and talk. She starts talking about the intense sex they had
and John gets uncomfortable. He admits being deeply in love with
Gina and they had spine shattering sex. He tells her how Gina was
the most exciting person he's ever known and oh, lucky us, we get
a flashback of them dancing and kissing when Hope was in her Gina
mode. As he remembers, he says how Gina was everything he wanted
in a woman and a lover. He corrects himself telling Hope it
wasn't her, it was Gina. As John looks at Hope he sees Gina (well,
duh). Hope wonders if she brought her Gina memories to the
surface if it might help their case against Stefano and save her
family. John reaches behind Hope's neck, saying he saw something,
but it was just a piece of lint. He can't talk anymore and Hope
tells him they'll talk again, soon, and drives away. On the curb,
John tells himself about feeling the chip at the base of Hope's
neck. Stefano taught him well to do the surgery to remove it, but
if he fails, it will kill Hope and Stefano will be rid one more
Brady as the credits roll.

Show #9114 - **
Tape Date: 7/12/01
Director: Randy Robbins
The saga continues at the Blue Note, Brady Pub and
Gilligan's Island.
At The Blue Note
A replay of Jen asking Brandon to take her home and telling
Jack not to make a scene when she hears Colin's voice. She rushes
off to check on it.
At The Pub
Chloe is bummed Victor wouldn't say what he wanted in front
of her. Brady gets upset as she speculates what would happen if
she and Philip start over again when he returns. Caroline and the
2 waitresses serve them their pancake dinner as Caroline hugs
Brady and asks if she can take his name off the prayer list at St.
Luke's now that he's all recovered. He smiles and agrees, clearly
liking Caroline. She asks him to leave the past where it belongs
and hopes he forgives her son (Roman). Chloe puts about a quarter
size spot of syrup on her pancake and Brady objects. He spoons a
huge dollop of whipped cream on her pancakes, then drowns them in
syrup and adds the other fruit/goodies in generous sized
containers Caroline left them (hey, I never get all that good
stuff when I go out! Only gross thing is he licks off the same
spoon he uses each time and reuses it in next bowl, ewww...)
Chloe refuses to eat it and Brady remembers when Belle went
through that phase and scoots over to feed her some. She tosses
some whipped cream on his face and out of respect for Caroline,
they don't start a food fight as she wipes his face clean. They
talk about Philip and how she should devote this year to working
on her singing, not on a teen age crush. He tells her to examine
her heart what's important to her. He offers to help her if she
says the word and she does. He agrees to pick her up the next
morning to find ways to inspire her. He tells her she'll be
saying Philip who in no time at all.
Oh, lucky us as Colin and Elizabeth return to the pub. Watching
nearby, Chloe sees C & E arguing and asks Brady if they'll
make up. Brady doesn't think so by the way Colin's acting to her.
Elizabeth walks off in tears (what, she has feelings?). Caroline
joins Colin with a couple coffees and he tells her it's strange
as Elizabeth's not the kind of woman he usually fancies (who
would the way she acts). He sees himself with someone who's more
of a nurturer (yet likes adventures and excitement), but one who
wants to settle down. He describes Jen, without giving a name and
Caroline asks if he's describing the one got away (Elizabeth is
hearing all of this in the background). She joins them asking who
was the one that got away and Caroline slips back to work.
Elizabeth asks Colin if he really loves her. He tells her he
talked rashly and she rushes over to start kissing him. LOL as
Jen didn't see Colin (who supposedly JUST left), but is already
at the pub with Elizabeth above (why did it take so long for Jen
and Brandon to drive from the pub to the Blue Note, yet it's like
Colin and Elizabeth walked next door to it, haha). She tells
Brandon the voice she thought she heard is in Ireland now. Jack
watches Jen talk with Brandon and talks loudly asking Greta if
she got her hair cut or what perfume she's wearing. Greta is
embarrassed and tells Jack to knock it off, but Jen is already
clued in and walks over. She gets Jack's car keys and tells Greta
she'll drive her home and Brandon offers to get Jack home. She
tells Greta at the door it's time for her to clue her in about
Jack Deveraux and they leave after Jen tells Jack she'll pick up
Abby after dropping Greta off.
In the car Greta tells Jen she's helping Jack as it's for a good
cause, his family. Jen tells her not to bother as it's not going
to happen. Greta understands, but tells Jen that Jack's also her
friend and she likes him. Jen asks if she's out of the picture,
is Greta interested in Jack? Greta kindly tells her that's none
of her concern, but would it bother her if she was? Greta wishes
she had someone who would go to such lengths for her like Jack is
for Jen. She reminds Jen she once felt differently enough to
marry and have a child with Jack. Greta asks Jen to be honest
with herself.
Jack whines about getting the bill and Brandon sees a couple
lookers walk in. He suggests they buddy up and hit on the girls.
Jack doesn't want to and doesn't have any money for a cab.
Brandon suggests Jack get a job (good idea!). He rubs the fact in
Jack's face that Jen likes him too and she's hot. Brandon tells
Jack not to worry, Jen's too good for a one-nighter and tired of
Jack's attitude, gives him money for a cab home, calling him a
freak. Jack happily takes the money and tells the girls at the
bar that Brandon doesn't have any diseases that can't be treated
and leaves.
As The Tribal Council Gathers...
er, I mean the teens gather around the campfire with their
notebooks, each doing their own thing, complaining, swigging,
bird watching and laughing (you figure out who's doing what, ha!).
The group divides in half and the teachers discuss what they
found on their hike. Belle and Shawn are in different groups.
Shawn tells Jan kindly to not get caught drinking. She bristles
at first, but realizes he's saying it out of concern and not just
talking to her chest (is that like talking to the hand? ;-) Belle
and Philip have a heart to heart about Chloe until their group is
called. She tells him Chloe doesn't hate him, just needs time.
She listens as he talks to her about Chloe, and he kisses her on
the cheek in gratitude. Shawn watches nearby and joins them.
Philip tells them they're the best and walks off. Belle worries
what will happen to Philip if he and Chloe don't get together. (hey
Belle, our quizlet shows 58% of the votes think he and Mimi
should get together).
During this whole thing, Paul lurks in the bushes watching Jan
and thinking about what he could with her (sick). Shawn joins him
and tells him he's anxious to return home with his gran's ruby.
Shawn shows him the map and they figure out the rock formation in
the sea is where the treasure appears to be hidden. Paul asks
"sailor man" if he can hold his breath and swim with
the sharks to seek the treasure.
In the discussion group the woman teacher asks Kevin to help show
tattooing technique (or something like that) and asks him to
remove his shirt (give me a break). He reluctantly does so and
everyone is quiet and stares at him and his fine physique. Mimi
walks away from the group and joins Shawn to chat about Jan. They
talk about Jan's parents (the country club snobs) being divorced
and neither showed up at the hearing. She tries to warn him not
to get too close to Jan. Penelope tells Susan that Kevin's now
out of her league and Susan gives her a lecture on standing up
for herself. She calls Philip over and he addresses Penelope as
Shy Girl (oh right, I'm sure). She softly tells him her name, but
he tells her he knows that and asks what she wants and walks away
when she doesn't answer. Susan is determined to help Penelope
like Kevin helped her with her confidence.
Philip remembers when he climbed the trellis under Chloe's window.
Later we see a coal tattoo on Kevin's chest as Susan and Penelope
gape at him. Mimi joins them and removes a smudge on his tatoo,
saying he's now perfect as all three girls watch.
Shawn tells Belle about his plan to dive for the treasure. She
looks worried as Paul tells himself he wouldn't do it himself,
but Shawn can swim with the fishes after he (Paul) gets his hand
on that loot as the credits roll.

Show #9115 - *1/2
Tape Date: 7/13/01
Director: Herb Stein
Other than the fact that it's a new day in Salem, nothing
much going on. Greta meets Colin...and Hope confronts Lexie. If
you must miss a day...this is probably the one.
The Wesley Family are having breakfast as Chloe comes down in
an extremely good mood. Nancy asks her about it and Chloe bluntly
tells her basically that it's none of her business. Meanwhile,
Brady is outside in his jeep, having flashbacks of his "date"
with Chloe. When Nancy questions Chloe further, and Chloe tells
her that she is going out with Brady, it leads to an argument.
The doorbell rings and Craig (looking for an out) goes to answer
it. Brady plays nice and apologizes to Craig for his rudeness
that night at Tuscany. Craig finally forgives him and questions
him as to his plans with Chloe. Meanwhile, Nancy give Chloe a
little lecture about her fascination with Kiriakis men. Chloe
tells her to lighten up. Chloe then apologizes and wants to share
something with Nancy. She admits that she got involved with
Philip too deep and she promises not to make the same mistake.
This confiding pleases Nancy, who says that she is proud of her.
(Is Chloe sincere?! or just pulling her strings?) Chloe comes
rushing out the door by Craig and takes off with Brady. In the
car, she tells him about her argument with Nancy and how she
pulled the wool over her eyes, telling her what she wanted to
hear. But, she defends Craig and says that he is cool. Inside,
Nancy is upset, not wanting to see Chloe get hurt again as Craig
calms her down. She basically tells him that SHE is her mother.
He gets upset (referring to himself as only the "stepfather")
and tells Nancy that maybe she should call Chloe's REAL father
and let HIM deal with it and storms off. Brady and Chloe end up
at Salem High's music department and he tells her to refer to him
as "Professor Black" as he is going to teach her how to
sing. He turns on some music and has her sing. He stops her and
says it sucks, it has no feeling. She gets upset, but he promises
to help her.
The Deveraux Family
Jen is having thoughts of Colin again as he was telling her he
was leaving Africa. She says that she can't believe that she was
foolish enough to follow him to Ireland. Abby comes in and wants
to go to the park with her and daddy and Jen caves. Jack sneaks
downstairs and calls Greta (waking her up) wanting all the
details from her talk with Jen. Annoyed, she finally hangs up on
him and the phone rings again immediately. She yells "WHAT?"
but this time it's Jen. OOPS. Jen invites her to join them at the
park, then she and Greta can go shopping. Later, J&J are at
the park watching Abby and both agree that she is the ONE thing
they did right. Jack asks her about her time in Ireland, but she
won't talk about it. He keeps on until she tells him that she
left Africa because he wasn't there for them. He changes subject
and tries to question her about her "date" with Bradley
(Brandon, she corrects him). But Abby interrupts and wants ice
cream. Jen tells Jack she has plans later as Jack tries to find
out who the "lucky guy" is. He tells her that he has
plans later as well, he and Greta are going to lunch. He asks her
about her talk with Greta last night as Greta shows up, both
greeting her. Jack has egg all over his face when he finds out
that Greta is the one Jen is going shopping with, proving that he
was lying. Jack isn't so thrilled as the 2 go off shopping. As
Abby eats her ice cream, she starts bickering with him. When he
asks her where she learned that, she says from him and mommy. He
wonders if he is really that annoying (trust me, Jack, you ARE at
times). Jack tells Abby that he has to be more clever and
redefine his plan. Not understanding, she says "whatever".
He gets a new idea.
Salem Place
Colin and Elizabeth (aka nails on a chalkboard) are at Java
Café with her being her nasty self. After complaining, she runs
off to go somewhere (I think she said pharmacy, I guess she means
drug store to us). Greta comes by for coffee (before meeting Jen)
but there are no empty tables. Colin offers her a seat and she
recognizes him from the Blue Note. She introduces herself as
Greta Von Amberg and he calls her Princess. He explains he read
all about her in the papers in Europe. As he talks about her work
with the orphans, he takes her hand (of course just in time for
Elizabeth to see them). She breaks it up as Colin introduces them.
Liz informs Greta that her father is some hoity-toity banker, Sir
Alister Cox, in Europe. She drags Colin off to go shopping as
Greta wonders just WHAT he is doing with HER.
Later, Jen and Greta are shopping and talk about Jack. Greta is
busy scanning the crowd for another glimpse of Colin. She tells
Jen about him and when she mentions his accent, Jen asks her his
name. Greta can't remember, Kevin, maybe? Jen asks her if it was
Colin, but Greta is too busy looking around. Colin and Liz spot
them, but Jen's back is to them. Liz quickly drags Colin off.
At DiMansion Rolf is on the phone with Stefano, telling him
about his discussion with Lexie. We get the impression that
Stefano doesn't want to follow through on the plan to change Hope
to Gina. After Rolf gets off the phone, he says maybe he will
have to take matters into his own hands. Bart hears him and calls
him on it. Rolf gets angry and begins to choke Bart, demanding to
know what he wants. He lets up as Bart questions him as to what
is going on. Rolf tells him that Stefano changed his mind about
the switch, afraid he will be blamed by the Bradys. Rolf wants to
do it anyway and take the Bradys by surprise. Bart starts
babbling about the wonders of science (talks about everything
from Carrie Fisher in Star Wars to Dolly the sheep). Rolf finally
tells him to shut up (thanks Rolf). Bart asks where "sexy
Lexie" is and Rolf tells him about his conversation with her
and how she doesn't want to change Hope. Rolf says she isn't a
true DiMera and calls her weak. He wants to zap Hope right now.
Bart asks him if he plans on taking matters into his own hands,
which Rolf denies. After Bart leaves, Rolf says that Lexie
doesn't trust him and never will.
Meanwhile Hope and Lexie are at Salem Place with the babies.
Hope mentions Glen and Barb, which upsets Lexie. Lexie takes
Isaac and promises no one will EVER take him away. As Hope
reassures her that she is a good mother, Isaac says "mama".
Lexie asks Hope to promise she won't let anyone take him and she
does. They talk about the babies and Hope tells Lexie that when
JT is old enough, she plans on telling him on how he came to be.
She wants to know if Stefano every mentioned anything to Lexie
about the time she was Gina. Lexie warns her not to go there and
wonders if she could perhaps fall back in love with JT's real
father if those feelings resurfaced. Lexie wants no part of it,
feeling that Hope will end up getting hurt. Hope says that Greta
and John both know of her quest and begs Lexie to help her as
well. Lexie finally agrees, then Hope turns on her and says that
she doesn't know if she can trust Lexie, she has been lying to
her for weeks now. Lexie questions her and Hope tells her that
John told her that Lexie KNOWS that John is JT's father. She asks
why/how she could trust her or believe anything she says, Lexie
stares in shock as the credits roll.
