Show #9085***
Tape Date: 6/1/01
Director: Roger Inman
Chloe realizes that Victor is using Brady to break up her and
Philip; Sami and Lexie have it out at the Blue Note...and the
guys aren't doing much better as Austin and Brandon almost come
to blows. Also, Jenn sees Jack in a new light.
Chloe & Brady Have Another Run-In
Brady gingerly walks down the stairs, proud of his progress.
Chloe comes rushing into the penthouse calling for Belle (Belle
had given her the key). They immediately argue as he wants to
know why she is there. She tells him she is going to wait for
Belle and if he doesn't want to see her to just leave. She spots
the picture of Brady, Isabella and John on the piano and picks it
up, questioning him about it. He explains about his mom and Chloe
says she is sorry he lost her so young. He informs her that he is
going to the Last Blast as a chaperone, which doesn't please her
too much. She talks about what happened last year and says
nothing like that will happen this year, because of Philip. They
talk about Philip and Brady informs her that his grandfather
still doesn't approve of her. Brady goes out to the balcony as
Chloe follows and they watch the birds flying. He tells her that
people sometimes catch birds, put them in a small cage and clip
their wings. Chloe gets his point and insists that is not what
Philip is doing to her. He tells her that their relationship is
doomed. She gets angry and insists that Philip and she love each
other, and their relationship is NOT up to Victor Kiriakis. Brady
warns her not to mess with Victor and he will do anything to
ensure what is best for Philip. She asks him what would Victor do
to break them up. Brady takes up for Victor, saying he loves his
son. But Chloe says it should be about what Philip wants. She
says that people should be allowed to live their own lies. She
has a revelation and realizes that Victor is using Brady to break
up her and Philip. She asks him what is he planning to do at the
dance. Brady denies it, of course. But she doesn't buy it, she is
sure he is going to the Last Blast with an agenda.
Jack & Jenn, The Road To Reconciliation?
Jenn is sitting in Salem Place daydreaming (waiting on Jack),
when Hope comes by (GOLLY, Hope looks even more beautiful than
usual today, rose is definitely HER color). They talk a moment
about Jack and when he shows up, Hope takes off. He shows her a
picture that Abby drew at school and notices that something is
bothering her, so he goes to leave her alone. She stops him and
wants him to go with her somewhere. She buys them cappuccinos and
he feels she is softening him up for something and he fears the
worst. As he babbles on, she tells him to shut up and listen to
her. As they sit on a bench she tells him she has something to
tell him and is having a difficult time. She runs through his bad
points (which bothers Jack) but she also points out his good. She
tells him that she has another word to describe him, "hero",
Yes, he is her hero. He pretends to be modest, but she tells him
that she sees him in a whole different light now. She calls him
brave and says that he has so much character. She says that she
knows he is a wonderful father and talks about how great he is
with Abby and how she knows Abby loves him so much. Jack has a
long flashback of them in the rain where he gives her an
engagement ring. They talk about old times, and Jack tells her
that is the past, where does that leave them now? She doesn't
know, but realizes that things are better. She says that she was
wrong about him, she judged him too harshly and that she realizes
that now. He asks again, where does that leave them now?
Sami Gets Her Comuppance
Sami (in a low-cut blue dress) and Austin go to the Blue Note and
Austin orders a beer. Sami decides she wants a Cosmopolitan (like
the girls on "Sex In the City", she says). Austin
assures her she is sexy enough. He is preoccupied, thinking about
Kate, but Sami doesn't want to hear about that and changes the
subject to Will. She suggests that she and Austin go back to his
place, but Austin has other ideas, he wants to go rollerblading (which
thrills Sami, NOT). She heads to the ladies room, wondering WHAT
she has to do to snag Austin. As she turns the corner, she sees
Brandon and Lexie at a table and begins to fume.
Brandon and Lexie were there talking. She is upset about all the
baby stuff and when he says something about her raising Bo &
Hope's son, she informs him that Bo is NOT the father, John Black
is. Brandon is shocked to say the least. When he questions her,
she tells him that John doesn't know about the switch and that he
doesn't know that Isaac is actually his son. (Geez, my head is
starting to hurt about who does and doesn't know what!) She also
tells him that Abe doesn't know ANY of it and she doesn't intend
to tell him. Brandon doesn't agree with her about any of this
that is going on.
After Sami stews in her juices a while, she flaunts over to the
table and practically accuses Brandon and Lexie (Sami refers to
her as MRS. Carver) of having an affair. Brandon tries to shut
her up, but you know how Sami is. Brandon berates her and tells
her to apologize to Lexie, which Sami does, half-heartedly, then
flaunts on to the bathroom. Lexie excuses herself and follows
Sami. YOAZA! once in the bathroom, Lexie blasts her demanding to
know "What the HELL do you think you are doing?". Lexie
practically has her backed up against the wall telling her that
what SHE does is none of her business. She rips Sami a new one
for leading Brandon on, knowing full well that he is in love with
her. THEN, she goes on about how she broke up Carrie and Austin (She
says that Sami just hangs on like a barnacle. ROFL!) But she
isn't finished, she talks about how she made Carrie's life
miserable and broke up their marriage. She tells Sami not to try
and rewrite history, SHE was there and saw it with her own eyes.
Sami is the reason that Carrie turned to Mike. The verbal attack
continues when she says that she just doesn't understand how two
good people like Marlena and Roman could have a daughter as
miserable as her. Sami gets a few words in and says that Lexie is
just like her father, Stefano. Yes, Lexie proclaims, and I am
proud of it. She calls Sami a "spoiled, selfish,
manipulating brat". (Oops, look out Lexie, you are getting
close to the pot calling the kettle black there). Sami swears
that she has changed and is a different woman. Lexie points out
that a leopard NEVER changes her spots. Lexie says that Sami
doesn't know it, but Brandon has her number now and if Austin
REALLY knew her, he would drop her like a hot rock. Sami wonders
"what if" Abe knew about Lexie holding hands with
Brandon in public. Uh-oh, you said the wrong thing there, as
Lexie warns her to NEVER threaten her and to stay the hell out of
her life and business, if she knows what is good for her. On
that, Lexie turns on her heal and leaves. Alone, Sami thinks that
Lexie has a thing for Brandon and decides that she will have to
keep an eye on her.
Meanwhile, the men aren't getting along any better. Austin has
grown impatient waiting on Sami and goes to find her. Instead, he
finds Brandon sitting alone at a table. Austin asks him where
Sami is and Brandon give him the cold shoulder and is rude to him.
Austin plops down to try to smooth things out. Brandon tells him
to get lost. But Austin informs him that he KNOWS Brandon is in
love with Sami. Brandon calmly tells him that the fought once
before, does he want to go a few more rounds? Well, the go to
head outside, when Lexie comes back and breaks them up. She tells
Austin to just go away and take his EVIL girlfriend with him.
After he leaves, Brandon sits down with Lexie and calms her down.
She thanks him as he takes her hand.
Hope & John
John is also at Salem Place and spots Hope. He grabs her by the
arm and pulls her aside to talk. They talk about their secret and
she informs him that she will never tell. He, Marlena and her are
the only ones who know and she will keep it that way. He tells
her to add another to the list, Lexie. Hope remembers her
overhearing her and Marlena that day. John is upset, but Hope
assures him that Lexie won't spill the beans. John then tells her
that isn't ALL Lexie knows. She also knows that he (John) is the
father and that Stefano knows as well. Hope is shocked and begins
to panic. She can't understand why Stefano hadn't told Bo, since
he delights in ruining the Brady's. Hope says that he could use
this info anytime he wants. She thinks it is time for Bo to know
the truth as well, and better coming from her. John says no and
insists that Bo IS JT's father, in every sense of the word. He
tells her that she and Bo ARE his parents and it should stay that
way. He babbles on about them realizing that he was conceived out
of love (honestly, he lost me there). Hope tells him that one day
JT may question her about why did she have him and she doesn't
know what to tell him. John tells her that she should tell him
that he was conceived out of love. She says she can't do that,
because she doesn't remember, and he does, and that isn't fair.
She tells John that she does want to remember, she wants to
remember everything, as the credits roll.

Show #9086***
Tape Date: 6/4/01
Director: Randy Robbins
Great scenes with Jen and Jack today as they talk about their
relationship. Marlena and Hattie argue as do Victor with Philip
while Hope tries to get John to tell her about her Gina days.
Salem Place is a busy place Jack and Jen continue their
talk. She's proud he's Abby's father and admits she may have
misjudged him. Jack asks Jen what's next. He jokes about her
dubbing him a "hero", but then tells her how much it
means to him. He has a hard time talking about it without joking
around, but tries. She again tells him she's proud about his
being Abby's father. He asks if he gets to play on the team again
now. Jen admits being caught by surprise at that question and not
ready for this discussion right now. He tells her when he jokes
or says something, she uses psycho babble to not recognize her
emotions. She agrees and at this point, not ready to accept him
for who he is. Part of her wants to hug him and thank him for
what he did, but not sure if she can and then turn away. He tells
her they're not talking about cholesterol, they're talking about
love and leans forward with his arms open, saying please, please
(wanting her to hug him). Jen leans forward, but then says she
can't and walks away dragging her hand across his shoulder. Jack
is crushed. He asks if they need to go into psycho therapy for
two years to get it right? She tells him no, he just needs to be
who he is, but the person he is, is not the person for her, but
magic for someone else. Jack is devastated and says rejection
really sucks. Jen tells him she would understand under the
circumstances if he didn't want to continue living in the same
house with her. He turns around and looks at her. His family is
his first priority, especially Abby's. She agrees that's the way
she feels too and she agrees they should live together, for Abby.
He asks her to shake on it and extends his hand. She takes it,
then says "what the heck" and hugs him. Cue big smile
on Jack's face. John and Hope are strolling around Salem Place,
talking about what to do. Hope wants John to tell her everything
about what was said and did as Gina, leading up to JT's
conception (no, no more sub sex flashbacks, have a heart). She
tells him she's not afraid to talk about it now and knows John
would never hurt her. He's been a rock through all of this for
her and was there until Bo was ready to be a father to JT. He
asks her to leave the past where it is. Hope still insists about
knowing about his relationship with Gina and won't let him go
until he tells her. He tells her it was magical, exciting,
dangerous, sensuous and everlasting even through the boundries of
time, like they were destined to be together to conceive their
child. She replies with, as if it were meant to happen. He
explains how she held him captive on the sub, but he was a very
willing participant in what happened. He feels like he's
betraying Marlena talking to Hope like this. Remembering to
himself (thank you), he tells her it was so intimate and erotic
that if he helps her remember, it will stay with both of them for
the rest of their lives. Hope tells him maybe they don't have a
choice. She follows him as they walk past the theatre (is the
movie showing there "Endless Ordeal" a clue as to this
storyline ;-) He's afraid what he'll tell her will trigger
something in her and tries to convince her to just leave it alone.
Is she willing to gamble her family's future for this?Philip is
summoned to Victor's office. The school sent a letter to Vic and
Philip's in BIG trouble (gee, maybe because you never made him
stay home and study?). Philip's B+ average went to a "C"
and the school wanted to know (shouldn't this letter have been
sent or a call from a teacher before the last day of school?) if
anything at home has been going on to explain that (gee, let me
count the ways, ha!). Victor is not amused when Philip doesn't
feel a "C" is that bad and asks if his father feigning
death and dumping his mother as well as his house burning down
might be part of it. Victor does not accept that, nor Philip's
popping off attitude and informs him that he's sending him to
boarding school for the summer. Philip's satisfied he passed
every class and angry his father is throwing away his whole
summer. Philip threatens his father that if he takes him away
from Chloe, he'll see what happens. Victor warns his son to NEVER
threaten him (guess he didn't see that gangster's house explode).
Philip changes the topic to his mother and how embarrassed he is
to have his friends see her working in the diner and asks his
father to give her some money. He tells Vic his suit costs more
than Kate's yearly salary at the diner. Not knowing how this will
help Philip's grades and saying Kate won't accept the money,
Victor says no. After finding out Kate didn't put Philip up to
this, he warns his son to consider Kate like quicksand and she'll
pull Philip in with her. Philip says he can't ignore his own
mother, but Victor realizes his son isn't worried about his
mother, just how her working there will make him look in front of
his friends. Victor tells him to watch it and calls him on this
and Philip starts to call Victor a son of a... When Victor
reminds him he's a Greek peasant in this expensive suit and is
proud of his heritage and discipline. He tells Philip to make the
Last Blast his last date with Chloe. Philip begs him to
reconsider. He promises to study hard for his SAT's, just don't
make him stop seeing Chloe. Victor knows his own father wouldn't
consider it, but tells Philip he'll think about it and will talk
to him later. Philip thanks him, calling him "sir"
several times and slips out. Victor tells himself he thinks
Philip now WILL do his work. He figures Kate's got her hooks into
Philip to get help, but he's not going to give her a penny.
Nicole will be at the dance tonight to keep her eyes on Kate. As
Philip punches the elevator button, he tells himself that his
father's not the only Kiriakis in town and he's NOT giving up
Chloe! Roman startles Kate at the diner and she drops what she
was carrying to have a break. Usual banter between the two as he
asks about her health, saying he's asking because of Sami. The
two argue about the deal Sami made with Kate. If he finds out
Kate was responsible for Sami being strapped down in the death
chamber, he will bury Kate (don't think we'll see any romance
between THESE two anytime soon, LOL!). He tells her he feels the
same way about Sami as she does about Lucas. Kate denies ever
doing anything to Sami. She and Lucas talked about what they
could do to help her in fact (yeah, right!). They talk about how
Lucas did something that if Roman had found out, would have spent
the next 20 years locked up. Roman figures maybe he should be
then, but Kate feels Lucas has suffered enough, hasn't he. Roman
asks if Lucas is the "weakest link" then. Soft soaping
Roman doesn't work and she tells Roman her health is none of his
business and to leave her alone. After Roman leaves, Kate tells
herself that once Philip sees his pathetic old mom at the dance
tonight, he'll convince Victor to help her. Hattie sits at Java
Café wondering if she should have fessed up about the plastic
surgery and looking like Marlena. Marlena comes out of a shop and
looks around. She spots and stares at Hattie while having a
flashback of a conversation with her own twin Samantha from years
ago. She asks Sam what she wants of her and Sam says she wants to
be her. Hattie turns Marlena's way and turns quickly back,
pretending she didn't see her. Marlena's not going to play that
game and grabs Hattie's arm as she tries to walk away, saying
"Not so fast sister, you and I are about to have a talk"!
Marlena demands to know why Hattie looks like her and if Stefano
is responsible. Hattie denies any similarity and tells Marlena to
"stuff it" and it's too damn bad if she doesn't like
who she is and how she lives her life. Hattie threatens to call
her friend Roman and tell him Marlena's harassing her. Hattie
hates how Marlena left poor Roman in the dust to have her "James
Bond fling" with John Black. No sir, she doesn't want any
part of Marlena's life. Marlena tells Hattie she has no right to
judge her and Hattie tears into her, threatening a restraining
order against Marlena. Marlena admits being wrong and Hattie
claims herself to just be a good, decent person. Marlena flashes
back to accusing Sam (her twin) of taking medicine out of her
office and Sam denying it. (yes, for those who don't already
know, Hattie/Sam both are being portrayed by Deidre Hall's real
life twin sister Andrea). Marlena talks to Hattie like she's Sam,
asking her why she's torturing her like this. Hattie calls
Marlena bonkers and walks away. Marlena spots John and smiles,
until someone moves and she sees he's with Hope. Her smile fades
as she sees Hope's arm on John's arm. She walks over and John
alerts Hope that Marlena's approaching. Hope asks John to call
her later as he kisses Marlena. Hope tells Marlena they were
talking about the warm weather, but Marlena looks as fresh as a
daisy. Hope tries to convince Marlena she was just talking about
how her life is back to normal now with JT home safe and sound.
Marlena comments about how John's son is home and Hope corrects
her with Bo's son. Hope appears offended and leaves. Marlena rubs
John's arm and asks if that's the body language of people talking
about the weather. He tells her to stop it and everyone needs to
calm down and get over this. She replies a consummation devotedly
to be wished as they walk out of Salem Place as the credits roll.

Show #9087**
Tape Date: 6/5/01
Director: Phil Sogard
The teens argue, explain, have second thoughts all over Salem, as
Kate buys her dress & Victor thinks of a plan.
At Titan
Nicole walks into Victor's office, wearing a black, halter style
dress, cut down to her navel. (There may be slits up the sides,
too VERY appropropriate for a chaperone - NOT!) Vic is impressed,
of course, as they discuss Kate. Victor explains that Kate is
using emotional blackmail on Philip & he has to stop her. She
could work anywhere, but chooses the diner cause she knows it
would embarrass Philip. They talk about ways to thwart Kate,
& Nik suggests he check on the diner. He might be able to
either get Kate fired, or buy the diner. After she is gone,
Victor makes a call to find out who owns it.
Meanwhile...
Kate is shopping at a 2nd hand store, looking for the
"perfect" dress to wear to the dance. She definitely
has a plan, figuring that once Philip sees her, he will really
get after Victor to give her some money. She finds a dress, but
gets into a cat fight w/another woman over who saw it first. (ROFL)
She knocks the woman down, pays the owner 5 bucks (tho he wanted
10) and leaves. The woman is waiting for her outside with a piece
of lumber that Kate wrestles away from her and chases her off.
Our Kate is one tough cookie. Ha.
In Phil's Car
Philip is teasing Shawn about the dance tonight, but Shawn is
worried. He does not know if he is ready to commit. Phil tries to
cheer him up, saying look how wonderful it has been for him &
Chloe this past year. Shawn says he & Belle have been buddies
forever, he does not want to ruin that. They head to the diner.
At The Diner
Fay joins Roman for a cuppa while on her break. They chat about
Kate, as Fay is worried about her. She thinks Roman's interest in
Kate is more than just cop related. Apologizes about their last
date, and Roman says maybe they can go out again. She'd love that.
Kate comes back, wonders why Roman is there, (the boss comes over
to Roman, asking if all was o.k. and his food hot...Roman nicely
says he wanted it cold...LOL) and starts to get ready for work,
as Philip comes in.
Shawn goes to sit with Uncle Roman, telling him about his date,
& gets some "uncle" advice. When he tells Shawn
about how their relationship will not be different, Shawn gets
nervous again. But Roman tells him they have been buddies and
will still be buddies. But once they have officially gone on a
date, it will just be a bit different. Tells Shawn to have fun, a
good time.
Philip talks to Kate, telling her how he hates having her work
there. She pretends to not want him to go to Victor on her
behalf, but manages to tell him how Victor hates the "silent
treatment", making him promise not to use it on his dad. She
would never want anything to happen to his
relationship with his dad.
Mission accomplished....Philip & Shawn leave, to shoot some
hoops - yep, nothing for them to do to get ready for this dance.
(Let's see, how long has this day lasted so far? Time stands
still when you are having fun).
At The Salem Mall
Belle is doing some last minute shopping,
unsuccessfully, for shoes. She runs into Mimi, who tells her she
has changed her mind about going with her and Shawn to the dance.
She will go alone. Belle asks if Jan has been putting ideas in
her head, and they talk of Jan and how mean she is, and how she
insults Mimi, and then Chloe. Mimi is adamant. Belle leaves.
As Brady arrives, he runs into Mimi and they sit on a bench and
talk about the Last Blast and school dances, etc. Brady says at
boarding school they used to have busses from girls' schools come
to their dances. Mimi screws up her courage and asks Brady to
come to the dance w/her, & gets deflated pretty quickly as
Brady explains he is already going w/Nicole as a chaperone. They
talk about Chloe, and Brady tells her he knows something is going
to happen at the dance, with Jan probably responsible. Mimi says
she had nothing to do with the chicken blood last year.....and
tho Brady tries to get her to tell him, she evades the issue.
At The Penthouse
Earlier, Brady & Chloe continue their talk about Philip and
Victor. Brady tries his best to warn Chloe that Victor thinks
Philip is going to be hurt by Chloe, as she does not care for him
the way Philip would like her to, and that Victor is no one to
mess with when he gets upset and wants to protect his family.
They continue to argue, and Chloe is convinced Brady is only
going to the dance to do something to break up her & Phillip.
Brady leaves. Belle comes in, upset about Mimi. They talk about
the secret plan Jan seems to be cooking up, and that Mimi knows
something about it. Chloe cannot understand why Jan cannot let
the past rest, but Belle warns Chloe that Jan is vicious (flashback
to Chloe rubbing the rat on Jan). They talk about Brady, as Chloe
claims he is trying to break up her and Philip. Belle denies it,
but Chloe tells her how Brady is going to dance ....color Belle
surprised. Chloe tells her of her conversation with Brady (flashback
to she & Brady on the balcony, and discussion about the birds
flying free). They both agree that Jan is up to something or
other, and Chloe says that whatever happens, it will be a night
they'll never forget. And the credits roll.

Show #9088**
Tape Date: 6/7/01
Director: Roger Inman
Shawn and Hope have a cute mother/son talk at the pub, Stefano is
still calling the shots from his cell phone as Lexie and Rolf
comply and Jack and Jen finally end their talk as the little
green eyed monster appears.
At Salem Place, Greta's parked back on her stool at Java Café (this
girl drinks way too much coffee!) A cute guy approaches and she
smiles, but all he wants is to use her stool at his table. As
everyone else laughs around her, Greta remembers her chat with
Jack about a business deal and tells herself he's definitely not
boring.
Jack and Jen are still talking about how he was there for her.
She wants to clarify their relationship though. She didn't want
her hug taken for anything other than an impulsive action.
They're going to live with each other for Abby's sake and they're
not married. He thanks her for reminding him about that and
figures they should put down ground rules about dating. He hopes
she wouldn't be jealous if he starts dating. She denies she would
(ha! We know better Jen!) Jen protests too hardily that she
wouldn't be jealous as another couple walks by and smiles. The
two banter back and forth about past history and she remembers
now why she's upset with him and takes off. Jack starts to go
after her, but Greta calls out to him. He turns shouting Princess
and of course Jen hears and turns to watch with an open mouth as
Greta talks to him about their last conversation. Jack
acknowledges Jen's still there and Greta says hi and comments
about JT's return. She suggests maybe her and Jen could get
together for lunch or shopping sometime. Jen asks why not shop
with Jack and Greta didn't figure he'd be interested in doing
that. Jack said he would and goes off in his usual manner, so Jen
suggest they go shopping then. Greta tells Jen she'd still like
to do lunch sometime and Jen agrees, saying they'll have a
loooooonnnng talk as Jack and Greta go off arm in arm shopping.
At the pub, Hope and JT sit with Shawn at a table as Shawn's
devours a burger. His grandparents (no, not Doug and Julie..where
ARE they??) comment how fast the kids grow and one day he'll have
a baby too. He gags a little and after taking a breath, asks for
another burger and fries, but a root beer this time instead of a
shake. Hope can't believe he's still hungry and Caroline reminds
her he's still a growing boy, haha. Pop runs off to fill his
order and Caroline takes JT for a walk around the pub. Hope and
Shawn have a cute talk about how this is his first date. She
encourages him to talk to her about it and he confides he's
nervous being it's Belle, someone he knows so well. He figures if
you ask a girl out once, she'll expect to be asked out more times
and Hope agrees. Later Caroline informs them they have both
Brownies and Boston Créme Pie for dessert and although Shawn
says he's full, Hope asks for both, LOL. (Sure hope Belle didn't
expect anything to eat after the Last Blast, but then again,
it'll probably end in mid July, so he might be hungry again by
then ;-) Hope levels there are both guys and gals who get clingy
or needy, but not to worry about Belle, she's not like that and
her own person. Hope asks why he's so concerned, did Belle say
something? No, he explains it's seeing how Philip's acting around
Chloe. His grades are going down, he's acting strange and even
missing baskets at b-ball. Hope levels she's seen how Belle looks
at him when he's not watching and she can tell he's crazy about
Belle too. Hope tells him it's just a dance and not to stress it.
They've been buddies for a long time and if nothing else, they
need to preserve that. Live for the moment his mom says. He likes
that. She tells him not to worry, if he doesn't want to date
Belle anymore, she figures other guys at school would and he
quickly confirms that. She also knows there's girls at the school
who feel the same about him. He's embarrassed and she tells him
how proud of him she is.
Later they talk about what Lexie's dealing with about Isaac and
both she and Shawn agree they'd fight for JT if need be (a sign
of things to come I'm sure).
Caroline joins Pop (who's shoveling popcorn into bowls) and talks
about Stefano's disappearance. He hopes Stefano's gone
permanently so the Brady's can live in peace. This of course
leads Caroline to ask about what Stefano did to the Brady's and
did it start in Ireland? Pop gets unglued and he yells at her for
always bringing it up (hey, she didn't, YOU did Shawn ;-) He
watches Hope with the boys and plans to never let Bo go back to
Ireland. Colin calls Uncle Shawn (voice only) about Stefano's
leaving Salem. The investigation is on hold and he needs a place
to hide out, asking if he can do so in Salem. Uncle Shawn likes
the idea and invites Colin to come and they'll work things out.
Lexie returns home and hugs Isaac's teddy bear (about the only
thing left that hugs her back probably). She gets a call on her
cell from daddy dearest. He wants her to do something, but she
tells him she and Abe are about to go pick up the DNA results at
the lab and she can't do it. Abe walks in and she tells him it's
the hospital about a patient. He reminds her she's still on leave
(yeah, love those year long leaves), but she explains it's a
little girl who won't take her medicine and asking for her. Abe
buys that, goes to the lab alone after telling her Celeste, the
invisible grandmother, is upstairs with Isaac. She tells Stefano
she's not proud of her lying (but it's sure getting easier, isn't
it?) She tells him they need to worry about both Hope and John
now and agrees to go somewhere for him.
At DiMansion, Iliana thanks and pays some workmen as they leave,
reminding them that their discretion about the work they did is
appreciated. Mr. DiMera was very generous and of course they will
be discreet. Rolf thanks her for handling that, and tells her he
doesn't know when Stefano will return. Bart has his feet propped
up on the couch and Rolf lectures him about not doing that. Bart
figures Rolf's disappointed he didn't OFF Hattie. He talked with
Stefano an hour ago on the private line. Bart's nervous they'll
be fired if Stefano doesn't need them. Rolf reminds Bart how
their skills are so different. He tells Bart that the house was
deconstructed, all the secret places... false walls, passage
ways, etc., were removed and a few new rooms added..including a
play room for Isaac. Bart worries they won't be able to cuss or
watch x-rated videos anymore now, but Rolf's saved by the bell as
Lexie arrives (why ring the bell, she never has before). Rolf
tells Bart to get lost. Iliana lets Lexie in and Lexie tells her
she was to meet a Dr. Rolf there. She meets Rolf, worried that
something is wrong with her father. He assures her no, but he's
there to help her and Isaac move into the mansion. He assures her
also that he's worked for her father for years and is totally
discreet. He asks about what's happening right now and she tells
him about the DNA test, hoping the samples won't match. He
confirms it won't as her baby is John and Hope's son, not Marlo's
and Glen's as she well knows. The baby's were accidentally
switched at the hospital. She goes to leave and he pulls a little
device out of his pocket and she asks what it was. Apparently
Stefano was listening in as he calls right away and tells her to
trust Rolf. Rolf insists she needs to move in immediately so they
can be protected. She doesn't think Abe would approve and they
already have an idea how to get Abe to agree to. Lexie leaves,
thinking she'll never come back there again. Rolf tells Illiana
to continue preparing the house as Dr. Carver will be moving in
later that day.
Abe goes to the lab and finds Glen, Barb, their lawyer and the
technician. Glen's like a pit bull and tears into Abe verbally
the minute he walks in the door wanting to know where his son and
Abe's wife is. The technician tells him he's almost done as Abe
confirms the female deputy never let the sample out of her sight.
Glen's vicious and his lawyer nasty to poor Abe. Abe just states
he would do anything within the law to protect his family. The
test results are ready and they're told the results are negative.
Glen spews the test was fixed and he knows that Marlo had his
baby. He's determined to find out what happened to Marlo and will
be back for his son. Abe gently tells Glen to go home and have a
child of his own. Outside the lab, Barb suggests they do that,
but Glen is determined to find out the truth. Barb thinks about
the money they lost doing a DNA test on the Brady baby and we see
their mail be dumped through their mail slot (guessing the DNA
test is in there).
At the cop shop, Bo summoned John and tells John he wants the
truth. He asks him about the coincidence of their raid of
Stefano's house and John's arrival. John denies any knowledge of
their actions when Roman, who was listening in, calls him on it
as the three of them have a closed door meeting in Abe's office (might
as well, Abe's always home now). The brothers don't believe John
was clueless about Stefano's actions, after all, he use to work
for DiMera. John tells Bo to leave him alone and just concentrate
on being a good father for those two boys. Hasn't he sacrificed
enough for him? John leaves both Bo and Roman confused about that
statement. As John gets into his SUV, he pounds the steering
wheel about why he said that last comment. Stefano calls him on
his cell phone and John demands Stefano stay away from Hope and
not to even think about reactivating the chip in her brain or
he'll personally kill him with his own hands as the credits roll.

Show #9089**
Tape Date: 6/15/01
Director: Roger Inman
Not much going on except Lexie announces that they are moving to
DiMansion and the kids get ready for the dance (as Brady and
Philip have words). Also, Jack reveals his plans (to us) to make
Jennifer jealous by using Greta.
Getting Ready For The Dance
Belle and Chloe are getting ready for the dance as Belle is
freaking out. (She is looking for a certain bra and can't find it).
She finally admits the real reason she is nervous is about her
first date with Shawn and Chloe tries to reason with her and calm
her down and assure her that they will have a wonderful time.
Belle is still worried that Jan and Mimi are up to no good
because Mimi changed her mind about going with them to the dance.
Belle is SURE that Jan is up to something, but just hopes that
Mimi isn't involved. Chloe, however thinks that if anything
strange happens, Brady is to blame. But Belle doesn't believe
that, saying that Mr. Kiriakis wouldn't be controlling Brady like
that. Belle again questions Chloe about her summer, but all she
reveals is that she needs to earn money for music school. (Personally,
I still think they are setting this up to make Belle, Shawn and
Philip think that the nude website is Chloe's plan to make money,
since she is being so evasive with them). They talk about the
summer trip and Belle says that she isn't going either, not
wanting to leave Shawn right after their first date. Chloe thinks
that NOW, Belle is being the obsessive one, worrying about a bra
that no one will even see. Belle remembers the bra and says she
must go back to the store. Chloe decides to go along and they
rush off.
Shopping Buddies
Greta and Jack are on their shopping trip and as she pulls out
dresses, he critiques them. She asks how she would look in that
one and he says she would look better OUT of it. She gets
uncomfortable with his comment. He asks Greta if she though that
Jen was jealous of their friendship. Greta assures him that she
had nothing to be jealous about. She is only interested in being
his friend. She talks about how she keeps falling for men who are
in love with someone else. Jack says that he just wants her to be
happy someday. (And how is using HER to make Jen jealous going to
do THAT, Jack?) Jack says that right now, she needs a man's POV
to help her. In return, she can help him. She wonders how she can
help him and he assures her that he just needs a friend right
now, that's all. Later, Jack is holding a dress up to himself,
asking her what about that one. Belle and Chloe walk in and see
him and start giggling. After introductions, he rushes off,
thinking about how his and Greta's friendship will develop and
Jennifer will be jealous, thinking he is involved with the
princess.
All In The Family
Philip is sitting (in what looks like) his PT Cruiser outside
Buddy's Burger Barn gulping down his dinner. (First Shawn, now
Philip, they must have REALLY worked up an appetite playing
basketball). He is joined by Brady who begins to question him
about his summer. Philip thinks his nephew (yes, remember, Brady
IS Philip's nephew) sure is asking a lot of questions about Chloe
and gets upset. Brady tries to assure him that he could care less
about Chloe. But Philip thinks he wants him out of the way so he
can make his move on her. He tells Philip he can HAVE Chloe, he
is more interested in ladies like Nicole Walker. He tells him
about taking her to the dance in Victor's place as a chaperone.
Philip accuses him of spying on him and gets upset, telling him
to just stay away from Chloe or he will put him back in his
wheelchair. After Brady gets out of the car and Philip drives
away, Brady says that Gramps is right, someone needs to keep
Philip away from Chloe.
Finishing Touches
Final preparations are being made for the dance at the school.
Mimi is freaking out about the plan as Kevin and Susan finish
setting up the equipment. Jan assures Mimi that money is pouring
in and how great everything is going. Jan mentions something
about Belle and Shawn and Mimi protests, saying she doesn't want
them to get hurt. Mimi asks how she plans on replacing the slides
and Jan looks over at Kevin. Susan and Kevin decide to take a
break as Jan and Mimi make a bee-line over there. Susan and Kevin
talk about last year's dance over a soda and Kevin refers to
Chloe as "ghoul girl". This upsets Susan, who does like
Chloe. He apologizes, saying he shouldn't have said that. As they
return, another teacher, Mr. Mallon, congratulates them all on
their hard work. Jan rushes up to distract Kevin and babbles on
about his slide show and how she is holding her breath to see it.
Under her breath, Susan mutters she wishes she would. (LOL, after
she leaves, Susan compares Jan to kiss-up Eddie Haskel of the
Leave it to Beaver show.) Kevin spots Mimi over at the projector
and rushes over there, asking what she is doing. She denies any
wrong-doing as Jan flirts with him. They leave and out in the
hallway, Mimi tells Jan she didn't replace the slides. Jan is
furious with her and tells her that she will have to do it
tonight at the dance. (That's right Jan, we wouldn't want you to
get YOUR hands dirty, now would we?) Kevin tells Susan that at
the dance, he will be busy with the video camera and wants her to
keep an eye on those two. Susan is more than happy to do it and
says that if they try anything, they will make those 2 bitches
pay through their noses.
Home Sweet Home
Glen and Barb are on their way home. He is still determined that
Isaac is his kid. Barb tries to calm him down and talk him into
giving it up. He wants to go back to Abe and Lexie's and confront
them, but she finally talks him out of it. She laments that if
they had the right baby to begin with, the results would be
waiting on them when they got home. She is just upset that they
wasted all that money on the wrong baby. Later, they arrive home
and Glen thanks her for standing by him. As he puts away their
suitcases, she goes through the mail and finds the letter from
the lab.
Lexie DiMera
Lexie returns home from DiMansion furious with Stefano, mumbling
about moving into his "mausoleum". She calms herself
down by telling herself that after the DNA test comes back
negative, Glen and Barb will go away. Inside, Celeste (the
invisible grandmother) and Abe talk about the DNA test. Lexie
comes in and Abe gives her the news about the results and has
champagne chilled to celebrate. But Lexie can tell that something
is wrong by looking at Celeste's face. Abe tells her that Glen
thinks that they have somehow rigged the results and that he
thinks that they blew up the lab the first time. Lexie doesn't
care what they think and is just glad that they are gone. They
talk about Stefano's involvement and Lexie admits to having
talked with him since he left. Abe gets upset and leaves the room.
Celeste tries to talk some sense into her (says that Lexie looks
as if she is about to jump out of her skin) but is told it is
none of her business. Abe returns and Lexie announces that they
are moving to Stefano's house. Abe flatly refuses. Celeste sides
with Abe and says that Stefano has control of her. Lexie jumps
Celeste and says that SHE is the one who slept with him and had
it not been for that, she wouldn't eve be here. Lexie informs Abe
to do whatever he likes, but SHE and ISAAC are moving and stomps
upstairs to pack. Celest says "Oh, My God, Stefano OWNS her
now" and asks Abe what he is going to do. He says that he
loves Lexie and wants to be with them, so he WILL move to
Stefano's house if that is what she wants. BUT, while he is
there, he will turn that house upside down for evidence to put
that bastard away for good and the credits roll
