Show #9055
Director: Phil Sogard
Tape Date: 4/24/01
Teens return to dotCom, Austin takes Sami out for dinner, and
Glen and Barb return to the Carver's for a chat with Abe.
DotCom
Brady arrives at dotCom to see Belle and Shawn sitting morosely
at the counter, sipping coffees (no wonder no one ever sleeps in
Salem, it's all that coffee!!). S&B feel awkward and both at
a loss for casual conversation. Shawn breaks the spell by picking
on Belle's hairdo and they have a fun bicker about that. He
offers to buy her another drink and when he orders her another
mocha, she tells him she wants green tea. She gets upset when
Shawn whips "the can" out of his pocket and he
hurriedly puts it back when Brady walks up. He proudly tells them
about his scene with Roman at the cop shop and both Shawn and
Belle tear into him for it. (gee, maybe Brady and Jan belong
together) He tells them how Chloe showed up and was surprised she
didn't belt out a chorus of Stand by Your Man ;-) He tells them
how Victor, Nicole, Philip and Chloe went out for dinner after
Victor got Philip out of jail.. He tells them about Nicole's new
role in Victor's life.
Outside dotcom, Jan welcomes Jason back with a hug, wanting to
know what revenge he's planning. Jan isn't happy that Jason and
Philip are okay with what happened and said he would have done
the same if Philip had ragged on Jan the way he did Chloe. Mimi
reminds Jan how she and Belle are still friends, but Jan reminds
her that Belle will pull out all the stops to get Shawn. Mimi
sees Belle and Shawn together and Jan suggests they get little
miss cheerleader in the buff too for a few extra bucks as Mimi
won't hear of it. They walk inside to see Brady move away from
Belle and Shawn to pick up his order. Jan cuts Brady down to Mimi
then turns and walks into him as he turns around with his order.
She gives a weak scream and tries to look offended like Brady was
trying to touch her as he attempted to catch himself from falling.
Sami's True Colors Emerge
Austin exercises in his apartment, remembering what Sami told him
earlier. In her own apartment, Sami's changed and now with a wavy
red hairdo, tie dye tank top and short skirt. She looks in the
mirror and refers to it as the Erin Brockavichy look. Being she
told Austin she's going to bed, she's got another "trashy"
idea to get his attention. She pretends to trip in the hall with
a bag of trash and yells OH SHOOT to get his attention. It worked
as he rushed out (shirtless) to help. She invites him over for a
root beer float. He accepts after he takes out her trash and
showers. He arrives and Sami teases him, tells him it's okay,
then after he gets all hot and bothered and falls to the couch
kissing her, tells him to stop as the ice cream will melt. (c'mon
Austin, wake up!) She makes the floats as he recovers and
suggests Sami let Will spend some time with Kate (where, in her
car?). Sami says no way! She clues Austin in that they'll have to
structure their time together now that Lucas is not around and
she has Will. He asks to take her out for a casual evening and
she agrees, saying she'll get a neighbor to watch Will. He tells
her the staff where he's taking her will blow her away (don't
tell me he's taking her to Kate's place?) Yup! At the diner, Kate
and Faye chat (isn't Faye at Brandon's for dinner? I haven't had
a chance to get totally caught up yet, but glanced at yesterday's
show and saw her there). She tells Faye that she'll make Victor
pay one day as Roman and the officer show up and sit down. Kate
knows they're not big tippers, but will take their order. Kate
grimaces as the cop orders a meat loaf dinner and when asked,
recommends the BLT w/ fries instead. Both Roman and the other cop
order that as the cop flirts with Kate, thinking she's hot for
him after Kate leaves. Roman warns him Kate is hot alright,
everything she touches burns and Sami found out the hard way.
Kate delivers their coffee and asks Roman about Will and if Sami
will let her see her grandson. After she leaves, the other cop
asks Roman if he really is having a thing with Marlena. Roman
dispatches the cop to a call they got after warning him that's
how rumors get started.
Faye and Kate get into a little argument and Kate gets another
pain when going to pick up an order. Sure enough, Austin takes
Sami to the diner and outside, says she's okay with that as
Brandon's mom works there and the fries are awesome. He gives her
the spiel about being nice to less fortunate people as he takes
her in to see Kate at work. Sami walks up and yells to Kate to go
girl and sling that hash, giving a wicked cackle after saying it.
Both Austin and Roman are taken by surprise as they witness this.
Abe Wakes Up With A Roar And Defends His Den
Abe has a nightmare while napping on his couch that the court
took away Isaac. He awakens to find Barb and Glen pounding at the
front door. He asks them if they know what time it is being it's
late, yet tells them Lexie's out with her father. (she sure isn't
spending much time with her son whom she's close to losing, is
she?) Glen tells Abe that Marlo is crying out from her grave
about being murdered and now they know why she was. The two
banter about Marlo and Glen clues Abe in that Marlo hated water
and her death wouldn't have been an accident. Glen spews that
Isaac is his son, no doubt about it. Abe listens patiently, then
has his say. He tells them how he and Lexie couldn't have
children and figured it was God's will to bring them Isaac. They
watch him hug Isaac's teddy bear and tell them Isaac will be
calling him dada any day now. Glen wants his son to call him
daddy, not Abe. Abe continues how he and Lexie won't even fly
together as they don't want to leave their son without a parent.
Glen stands by his conviction he's going to have his son as Abe
promises to do everything in his power to keep Isaac, including
sell his house if need be. Glen reminds Abe the law is on his
side and he will be back. Abe says the hell you will as the
credits roll.

Show #9056
Director: Herb Stein
Tape Date: 4/23/01
All at Tuscany as we (and our Salemites) hop from table
to table...
Nancy can't keep her eyes off Chloe. When Chloe heads to the
powder room, Craig suggests she follow her there. Nancy
sarcastically wonders if Victor will adopt Chloe and take her off
her hands. The two talk about Chloe and she worries that Chloe
might marry Philip. He hopes Philip thinks with his head and not
his... Craig feels Chloe's problems deal with her childhood and
he tells Nancy that family therapy might be the answer. Nancy
admits not trusting her daughter. If Queen Chloe gets involved
with the Kiriakis', she'll be sorry as she herself grew up in an
environment like that. Craig tells her to tell Chloe that, but
Nancy won't.
On the way back from the powder room (wow she looks great!) Bart
jumps in front of Chloe and makes a play for her, saying she has
a "Gina Lolabridgida thing" going on. He offers to buy
her a drink and get to know her and she warns him it could mean
prison. He figures she's talked to Rolfy and asks if she's a spy.
She informs him she's only 16 and he can't believe she's a fully
"loaded" teen. He hopes to see her in a couple of years.
She calls him a middle aged pervert and tells him he's gross,
LOL, and walks away. Chloe saunters over to Craig and Nancy's
table and asks Nancy if she forgot her mud pack this week as she
looks horrible. Craig stands up and calmly tells Chloe to
apologize or she can kiss off the rest of her dinner with rich
boy and party. Craig agrees he's her friend, but only if she's
courteous to her mother. She bends over and sarcastically
apologizes to Nancy and walks away.
Chloe returns to her own table after Philip knocks Nicole down a
notch by commenting on her always being around and she's not a
part of the family either when she refers to him and Chloe as
just kids. He holds Chloe's chair out and Chloe compliments
Victor on training his son well. Victor interrogates Chloe and
she calls him "sir" so many times I couldn't keep track.
He commends her maturity that evening, but is concerned about how
she cried rape and then was the cause of Philip's fist fight
resulting from defending her honor. Philip gets uncomfortable as
Victor openly tells Chloe that his son loves her and wants to
spend his life with her and asks what she wants. She squirms in
her chair and she tells him she cares for Philip. He tells her
people "care" for their dogs, he's talking about his
son. Nicole offers to put a woman's touch on the conversation.
She explains Victor's just acting like a concerned dad. Victor
agrees to change the topic of conversation, but after learning
why Chloe's afraid to admit her feelings for Philip. Philip tells
him Chloe's not afraid and suggests she tell Victor what those
feelings are. Chloe levels that she's only 16 and Philip's the
first boy she's dated. Music is her soul mate and she plans to go
to school in NYC at 18. Philip figures he can convince her to go
to school in Chicago or perhaps he can go to NYC. Victor tells
him that's out of the question as his GPA isn't Yale or Harvard
material. Chloe didn't realize that Philip's grades were down and
he tells her it doesn't come easy to him like it does her. She
admits studying her buns off, it doesn't come easy. Philip
promises to bring his grades up, but he's been busy with more
things than just Chloe, like his mom and then his father getting
shot. Chloe agrees they'll be seniors next year and it's
important to get good grades. Philip knows that's true, but feels
his father doesn't understand how strong their relationship is,
right? She gets speechless again.
Marlena and John dance inside and he's surprised at seeing Bo and
Hope fight. She figures they're like anyone else, just haven't
done it in public before. John gets a bad vibe that something
bad's going down (has he been reading the spoilers again?)
Outside Rolf calls Stefano to tell him the place is ready to blow.
Lexie insists on knowing what's happening and gets upset about
losing her son again (you know, the one she's hardly ever with!)
He tells her to calm down and not make a scene. He figures the
less she knows, the better. Her anger and loud voice grab
Marlena's attention and she excuses herself from dancing with
John to investigate. She asks to speak with Lexie alone. After
making a statement that he only does what's best for his daughter
and how they're a "team", he suggests he and John step
outside for a cigar (and John agrees willingly?) Marlena tries to
comfort Lexie and after finding out she's upset about the DNA
test, asks Lexie why she's not home with Abe. Lexie states
they're both so upset about this that they get on each other's
nerves and her father's dinner invitation was a good diversion.
Lexie asks where Hope and Bo are and about their argument.
Marlena wonders if it was a full moon to lighten the mood. Lexie
comments about Hope's baby paternity which surprises Marlena. She
admits overhearing Marlena and Hope's discussion about JT's
biological father and wants to know the truth. Marlena tells
Lexie she's a closer friend to Hope than she and wonders why it's
so important for her to know who JT's biological father is. She
tells Lexie she's a better friend than that and she's not acting
like herself tonight. As the men return, Marlena tells Lexie that
she, Abe and Isaac are in her prayers and walks away with John.
Lexie tells herself it's all up to father now.
John and Stefano smoked their cigars while Lexie and Marlena were
chatting above. Stefano gets upset as John tells him that he told
Hope the truth about his being JT's father. He doesn't feel it
should be a secret. Stefano only hopes that Hope keeps it secret
and doesn't tell Bo after seeing them argue earlier. Stefano
tells John he's hard to control and not good at hiding his
feelings. So now he's dropping bread crumbs to Bo to find out the
truth. Stefano tells John to shut up about the truth or it's the
end of John's and Bo's families.
Outside Tuscany, Bo is determined to find out who JT's biological
father is, much to Hope's chagrin. She tries to discourage him.
He recalls his wedding vows, pledging his love and fidelity to
her forever. She asks him to trust her on this and to leave it
alone. He agrees to not pursue it if it will bother her that much.
As she hugs him, he states that out of her respect for him
though, he would think she would tell him the truth and asks her
point blank if she knows who JT's father is. She tells him she
doesn't remember anything and he asks her to look him in the eye
and tell him she doesn't know. She does. He vents about how John
is always asking how JT is and how it's driving him crazy that
John's acting like JT's birth father. (hmmm, DNA tests are
commonplace at the hospital, have a DNA test done on JT and
you'll find out John's not his father, haha) Hope tries to
rationalize John's interest, and admits being bonded to Isaac
herself. Isaac was born the same night as JT and Lexie is her
best friend, is that so strange? Rolf overhears their discussion
and makes a noise as Bo rushes to investigate. He returns and
tells Hope he feels something is off about tonight and it's not
because of their fighting (okay, has HE been reading the spoilers
too??) He tells her he can't stop thinking about who JT's father
is and it's driving him crazy that some other man touched her.
She asks what he's going to do, kill the other man when he finds
out? She blames Stefano for all of this and he realizes Stefano
knows the truth. He wants to return inside.
Rolf joins Bart at the bar. Bart asks Rolf how old he looks and
Rolf warns him to stay away from the jail bait. He tells Bart
that Salem won't know what hit it and he's been all around town
tonight.
Marlena spots Hope return to her table and goes to warn her about
Lexie. John goes to warn Lexie about Stefano being evil and not
to trust him. He tells her to come to him or Doc, but not DiMera.
If she does, she'll live to regret it. Stefano cues Rolf and he
and Bart leave as Stefano thinks to himself that Salem should
fasten their seatbelts and live La Vida Loca (we think that means
"a sad place") as the credits roll.

(** 1/2)
(for the Kate & Sami scenes)
Show #9057
Director: Randy Robbins
Tape Date: 4/25/01
The never ending night continues, as despite the very lateness of
the hour in Salem, it's residents are making phone calls, visits,
the teens are still at dot.com, and Kate & Sami square off.
At Bo & Hope's
Jennifer is packing the last of JT's diaper bags, when the
doorbell rings, and there is Gran, bringing a plate of donuts for
Bo & Hope! (Sorry, this is unbelievable - the poor woman
should be sound asleep). Jen explains why she is there, and
before you know it, the two are drinking tea, scarfing down the
donuts and talking about Jack. Jen later comes out with another
tea tray.....then decides she needs decaf and goes to make some.
This girl must be on a real sugar high, as she is very wound up.
Meanwhile, Jack is nervously pacing, waiting for Jen to come home.
He calls her, and she tells him she will be home when she is
ready (not telling him Gran is there...hmmm, why does she not
leave JT with Gran & go home. She does not even ask about
Abby!) Jack gets bored and decided to call the Princess. Too bad
he cannot find her listed in the phone book under Princess...or
even royalty. LOLOL. But he finds her number and calls (isn't it
refreshing someone has to look up a number?).
Greta, who is on her balcony, is having a flashback of Austin and
her in the limo on their way to Tuscany. She wonders if she wants
a guy who would seem to want someone like Sami, and decides she
would. When the phone rings, she & Jack have some delightful
repartee' (mentioning the late hour), as he invites her to come
over, and she finally agrees. After all, when one needs a friend...........
At The Diner
Sami continues to taunt Kate, getting down on her knees thanking
God for Kate getting her comeuppance. Austin gets her up, tries
to get her to leave, but she refuses. She insists on Kate waiting
on her, promising a quarter tip. She puts her witch cackle to
good use, as then both Roman and Austin tell her that is enough.
But she is not through. Austin leaves, Roman follows. Outside
they argue, with Roman rehashing all Sami has gone thru,
defending her right to let Kate have it. Tho Ausdim lamely tries
to defend his mom, and mentions Sami being forgiven for all her
misdeeds, so should have some compassion herself and put stuff
behind her. Roman continues to more or less pat Sami on the back,
and tells Ausduh to either accept her, or just get out of her way.
(Now, isn't he the proud papa!)
Inside, Sami continues making a scene, telling the entire diner
how far down Kate has come. Kate ignores her & Fay offers to
get rid of her, but Kate says no. Sami orders a piece of pie, and
a large plate of crow for Kate to eat. Kate gets a bad pain and
goes to the ladies room. Sami follows her in, locks the door and
they really verbally go at it. These scenes between the two are
really awesome, as they both just shine! Sami gives Kate hell
about her drunken son, her framing Sami for Franco's death, and
Sami's time on death row, including the needle in the arm. Kate
accuses her of using Will for revenge, & Sami talks about
marrying Austin. Kate says it will only be a marriage of 5
minutes, before Ausduh throws her out. (In your dreams, Kate,
this guy is so clueless). Kate is in obvious pain, but holding
her own here, and Sami remembers her at the hospital (when she
collapsed bleeding and Sami just stepped over her) and asks
sarcastically if Kate is sick. Kate demands she leave, and
finally Sami unlocks the door. Kate tells her to remember this
day, & Sami says she will never forget it. Kate tells her,
good...cause the day is coming when I will be on top, looking
down on you and remembering this, too. Sami SPITS in Kate's face!
(and you can see the spittle flying) Sami goes out, and see her
daddy, and is all sugar & spice, & Roman is the loving
dad. (Blech!) She says she may need a ride home, but goes outside
to see if Austin is around. Well, ol' Duhboy is there, and
completely caves in, evidently forgiving Sami for how she treated
his mother, as he tells her to get in the car.
At Dot Com
Brady is looking at the cover of a magazine, featuring a football
quarterback, and he tears it off, crushing it. Belle sees this,
and comes over - but Shawn, who is looking at Belle, sees her as
walking rather seductively across the room, and wonders why he is
thinking of her that way? (wake up, Shawn!) Mimi joins Shawn,
asking why he is talking to himself. She comments several times
about his being distracted by Belle. LOL. Mimi mentions the Paris
kiss, and that she thought at the time it meant more than it
obviously did. Shawn brings up the mystery can, telling her how
it mysteriously moves onto a different shelf, or closer to him
during the night. Mimi is wide-eyed as Shawn tells her he figured
out how it happens. He tells her there are tiny feet sticking
out, and the can tip-toes silently.......Mimi laughs. She tells
him to get rid of it, but he says no, not until Chloe deciphers
the Sanskrit..she is going to do some research on the internet.
Mimi gets a bit uptight at the mention of Chloe going on the
internet (hey Mimi, Sanskrit will not take her to Opera Girl.com).
Belle sees the crushed magazine cover, and tries to get Brady to
focus on his recovery. The hearing is over, and he should put his
energies into something positive. Brady tells her he thinks he
has reached a plateau, and won't improve any further, and even
his therapist has changed his outlook. Belle says he has to get
rid of his anger towards her mother. Brady tells her to keep her
teen friends away from him, (Belle mentions how awful Jan was),
but Brady talks about Philip, the fight and how stupid it all was.
Then he casually brings up Chloe, (oh, yes, so casually....Ha)
telling Belle that he does think Chloe has the potential to be a
great singer, but she should not tell Chloe that, as he rags on
Chloe in order to keep her motivated. Belle leaves Brady to talk
to Shawn. Brady looks down at he picture of the football
quarterback, and with a couple of tears running down his face,
says to himself, "I have to get better - I have to".
Fade out. And the credits roll.
Barb
Was wondering if any of you readers could help with a question I
received.
"On Monday March 12, 2001 an episode aired on Days Of Our
Lives in which Lucas has just said good bye to Will. Lucas goes
into the den and pours himself a drink. He begins to have
flashbacks of himself and Will. During the flashbacks a song is
being sung in the background. It is a male singer and the opening
lines are, "Always and always, You'll be in my life".
Can you tell me the name of the song and the artist singing it? I
would like to use this song for my Wedding when I dance with my
Father."

Show #9058
Director: Herb Stein
Tape Date: 4/28/01
Today it's Round Two with Hope and Marlena now in the powder
room, Nancy visits Victor's table, Greta has a confusing visit
with Jack and Jen and Gran are still sippin' and dunkin' those
donuts. Tomorrow is Boom Day I think.
Decaf With Jen
Jen returns with the decaf coffee (surprised Gran wasn't sleeping
on the couch by now). Jen tells Gran about all the things she
should be happy about, including spending quality time with her
especially excellent grandmother. Jen defends she's living with
Jack for Abby's sake. She's determined to be a modern,
independent woman of the 21st century. Gran asks how she's going
to date while co-habitating with her ex-husband. She remembers
when Jen was Abby's age and use to sing a song about one bad
apple doesn't spoil the others. Gran tells her one day she'll
find her own Tom Horton and her Tom Horton will help Jen find him.
Jen kisses and thanks her.
Jack & The Princess
Jack tries rearranging the living room and Greta arrives to see
what he's done. Jack asks Greta (in his own special way) if they
can become friends. She asks why he's in such a rush to be
friends. He explains that it's because she's a princess and
everyone wants to be her friend. She agrees making friends is a
good thing, but one needs to know about their friends a little.
She asks his middle name and he tells her. She asks him what hers
is and he says Greta, first name princess, lol.
He explains if she were a guy friend, they'd be watching the
sport of the season (she tells him it's baseball) and he'd toss
him a beer. She inquires but being she's a woman, she doesn't get
a beer or entertainment. He goes on about how being friends is a
lot easier than dating. She finally agrees to be friends and he's
delighted. He raves about how Abby is such a good checkers player.
He asks her to play checkers and she doesn't like the game, but
goes along with him. He stumbles on the checker table and falls.
She tells him to move the couch back to where it belongs and asks
if she can go now. She realizes he's nervous and keeps looking at
the door, wondering if he's expecting someone. Being Jen isn't
home yet, Jack calls Jen's cell to give her the impression he has
a woman there, but denies it of course. She suggests maybe she
should stay away all night. He tells her no, Abby needs to have
her there. He tells Jen to come home and after hanging up, Greta
goes to leave, but Jack won't let her.
Tuscany
A replay of Victor telling Philip his grades aren't good enough
for Harvard or Yale and Philip agrees to bringing them up again.
He tells Chloe he loves her.
Nancy is mad the Kiriakis' table hasn't even acknowledged them
sitting there and gets up to approach them. Craig tells her to
sit down, but Nancy goes anyway. She overhears Philip telling his
father that he and Chloe will discuss their future later, alone.
Nancy wants to know what Chloe plans for the future and announces
she decided to do the polite thing by coming over and saying
hello. Victor stands up and says hello to Mrs. Wesley. Nancy
insists he call her Nancy, just like everyone on her radio show
does, as he knows. (I'm sure Vic is sitting around listening to
it, ha) Chloe whispers for Nancy to go back to her table and
Nancy calls her on whispering and asks if she really wants her to
go back to her table loudly. Nancy apologizes for her daughter's
bad manners and compliments Nicole on her dress, leaving Nicole
to say Nancy's dress is special too. Nancy thanks her and Victor
asks Nancy to sit with them for a while and snaps his fingers for
another chair. She thanks him and bellows (lol) across Tuscany to
Craig (at the next table) that she'll be a little longer. Craig
fumbles with his napkin in disgust. Nancy sits between Philip and
Chloe and asks what they're celebrating. Victor tells her the
release of his son from jail again as he was in a street fight
defending Chloe's honor. Nancy mentions how it seems he's always
in trouble because of her daughter and never mind the fact
Chloe's reputation was always above reproach before the incident
in the barn. Chloe gets upset and asks how Nancy would like
discussing her sex life in the middle of Tuscany? Nancy asks if
it's true, is Chloe having sex with Philip? This infuriates Chloe
and she tells her mother it's none of her business. She yells for
her mother to stay the hell away from her and the camera pans
Philip's and Victor's reaction to that. Nancy apologizes for her
daughter's bad manners. Victor and Nicole exchange smirks and
Victor suggests Chloe apologize to her mother and Chloe does so
reluctantly, but quietly said Nancy provoked her outburst and is
Nancy going to apologize for bringing up the other incident in
the middle of their celebration? Victor said if anyone was going
to react to that reminder, it should be his son as he was the one
he was accused of rape and it almost derailed his entire future,
yet he still professes to love Chloe. Nancy thanks Victor for
asking her to join them, but it's best for her to return to her
husband and tells Philip to make sure and have Chloe home by 11.
(is this the longest night in Salem or what and it's not even 11
pm yet???) Chloe apologizes after Nancy leaves and Victor shares
how Nancy bit his head off after the chicken blood incident,
another incident his son was blamed for. Obviously her mother
cares for her. Chloe apologizes to Philip.
Nancy returns to Craig and is pleased with the outcome of her
visit. She went over to be friendly and can't help it if Chloe
provoked her. Craig knows better. She calls what she did as
therapy. He asks if she's proud of the fact that she made her
daughter hate her.
Elsewhere In Tuscany
Marlena approaches Hope about Lexie, wondering what she told
Lexie. Hope agrees to go talk in the powder room with Marlena and
they head out, leaving John and Bo alone.
John and Bo wonder about Stefano's sloppy work for the adoption
of Isaac. How come he didn't check to make sure there was still a
father around? What's going on they don't know? They figure Lexie
and Abe will learn the hard way about not trusting Dimera with
anything. Bo remarks back to tell him about it and John
automatically asks if something's wrong with JT. Of course this
irritates Bo and he asks why John keeps asking. Bo tells John he
doesn't know who the father is and John reminds Bo he had decided
to leave that issue alone. Bo agrees he did, but John can't, can
he? John tells Bo it's best to leave it all alone. They discuss
who's feelings are the issue here, Hope's or Bo's? John reminds
him they're both married and in July he and Marlena are going to
celebrate their 2nd Anniversary and returns to his table. Bo
figures Hope was right as John loves his wife and was on his
honeymoon when JT was conceived.
Lexie tells her father she wants to go home to her husband and
son, but Stefano orders her to sit down and have her dessert.
They each wonder what was said during their conversations with
John and Marlena. She tells him she was trying to get Marlena to
tell her who JT's father is and Stefano tells her to stop it
right now. She knows he knows who the father is. He asks to
remain focused on the issue at hand and she reminds him that she
doesn't know what that is. She figures her father knew the truth
bout the switch all along and who Isaac's father is.
Outside Rolf and Bart get in the van. Rolf asks Bart if he's
ready to rumble? Bart doesn't look so sure. Bart starts to play
with the controls and Rolf warns him that controls a certain
sector of town. Bart goes back inside to see if Stefano beckoned
and flirts with Maggie, who orders another Roy Rogers for him ;-)
Bart returns to the van and Rolf tells him about putting a
special package in the owner's convertible (Maggie's). Inside a
patron arrives and tells Maggie how cold it is, so Maggie figures
she better put up the top of her car.
Nancy and Craig argue about Chloe and she stomps out of the
restaurant with Craig following her. Chloe watches (her chair
literally backed up to Craig's..why was Nancy shouting to him
earlier, haha). Chloe wishes that Nancy would just drop dead.
Outside Tuscany Nancy is so upset she starts gasping for air and
falls to the ground. Craig tells Maggie to call 911, his wife is
having a heart attack and she rushes inside to do so.
In the powder room Marlena tells her about Lexie's questions
about JT's paternity and reminds Hope how she was relentless
about Marlena not telling anyone herself. Hope explains how Lexie
overheard their conversation and asked about it and tells Marlena
she doesn't need this right now and looks down. Marlena says O-Right-o,
you slept with my husband and gave birth to his child, turned my
life upside down, now it's all about your family??? She grabs
Hope's wrist and turns her around saying she's fed up with it! (Go
Doc!) Hope apologizes for not warning Marlena that Lexie
overheard them and again tells her so much has been going on.
Marlena angrily demands to know what. They argue more and Hope
asks Marlena to stop hounding her. Hope confesses to Marlena that
she has a right to know and how Bo wants to know who JT's father
is. Marlena knew that would happen and tells Hope that if Bo
finds out the truth, it's HER own fault. She reminds Hope that
Lexie is with Stefano right now and is upset about losing her
child and not watching or caring what she says. Hope tells
Marlena that maybe she's right about Lexie and maybe she should
tell Bo the truth about his being JT's father as the credits roll.

Tape Date: 4/27/01
WOW...lots of interaction and ACTION as Tuscany goes BOOM! I
tried to get down as much as I could, but there was just too much
going on. Great Friday cliff hanger episode!
Jack & Jen
Jack and Jen continue to argue over the phone as he tries in vain
to get her to come home. After she hangs up on him, he tries to
convince Greta to stay a little longer and Alice urges Jen to go
home. Jen tells her that she thinks Jack has another woman there
(his plan all along, to make Jen jealous, I guess). But the voice
of wisdom (Alice) informs Jen that if Jack REALLY was with
another woman, why would he be wanting her to come home. (That
Alice, she sure is the smart one in the bunch). Alice advises her
to do one of two things, either take JT and go on home OR call
Jack and tell him that she is moving out. Meanwhile, Jack pleads
with Greta to stay a while longer as she is suspicious and wants
to know why he wants her there. They banter on and on with
unimportant stuff and she calls him immature, but does admit that
she is impressed by his relationship with Abby. The whole time,
he is just wondering how to keep her there longer.
Nancy's Ordeal
We get a replay (although different) of Nancy's collapse outside
of Tuscany. Maggie rushes inside and has Dave (isn't that the
waiter's name?) to call 911. Roman who is out on patrol (and
ALMOST stopped Bart and Rolf) is the first to arrive on the scene.
Inside, at the Kiriakis table, Victor and Nicole change the
subject to fashion and Titan business. Nicole questions Philip
about his mom and he gets upset over her situation. But Chloe
says that it's admirable of Kate. Maggie comes over and tells the
news about Nancy to Chloe, who doesn't even bat an eye. She
calmly gets up and goes outside with Maggie. Roman and Craig help
Nancy to the squad car as Maggie asks Chloe if she wants to join
them. Chloe only stares blankly ahead and assures Maggie that she
is fine. In the car, Nancy screams and cries and Craig tries to
keep her calm and quiet. Chloe returns to the Kiriakis table and
(nonchalantly) tells them about Nancy's condition as all are
confused by her reaction. She tells them that she has learned in
life not to get too close to people because you never know how
long they will be around. Philip promises to never leave her.
Victor offers to take her to the hospital, but instead, she asks
Philip to take her home.
Face-Off In The Powder Room
Hope and Marlena continue their confusing argument in the ladies
room. Marlena calls her unconscionable for wanting to tell bo the
truth. She warns Hope that the truth will destroy both of their
families. They continue to argue (well, Marlena does, she won't
let Hope get a word in edgewise). She keeps calling her "poor
Hope" and says that she should say nothing and let Bo raise
JT as his own son. In the heat of the argument, Jen calls Hope on
her cell phone and lets her know that she is getting ready to
leave with JT, but cannot find his car seat. She found one with
Isaac's name on it and Hope tells her to use that one (not sure
of the significance of this tidbit, but there MUST have been a
reason). Hope tries to leave, but Marlena won't let her. She
tells Marlena that Bo asked her directly about JT's father and
she lied to him. She refuses to do that anymore. Marlena tries to
reason with her into leaving well enough alone. She tells Hope
that she and John have their own family problems and that they
need John there full time. Hope says no, she will not destroy her
own family just to keep Marlena's family intact. She is going to
tell Bo the
truth NOW, and storms out.
John & Bo Chat
Bo thinks that maybe he is causing problems between John and
Marlena. Bo apologizes and tells John that he sort of wishes that
John WAS the father, then he could just beat him up and it would
be over. He says that the one who did this to Hope deserves to
die and is glad that it wasn't John. John advises Bo to just let
it go and raise his son and channel his anger towards loving his
family. Bo agrees that he is right and apologizes for giving John
such a hard time. They end up shaking hands.
Glen & Barb
They are both restless and can't sleep, so they decide to drive
around Salem as they await the DNA results. As they drive around,
Barb comments on how beautiful Salem is, but Glen says it is full
of liars and can't wait to get out of town. They eventually
decide to head on over to the East Side Lab and wait for the
results.
Stefano & Lexie
Stefano continues to berate Lexie for trusting Brandon. She is
sure that Stefano has known the truth about the baby switch all
along but he denies it and tells her to relax and his plan will
work. She is eaten up with guilt about betraying Hope and Stefano
tries to calm her down and just stay there with him. She demands
to know what he is up to. He eventually lets her in on the plan.
They are going to blow up the East Side Lab. And since they are
there at Tuscany, he won't be a suspect.
Rolf & Bart
Rolf is ready to put the plan into action, but Bart is worried.
Roman (on patrol) almost stops them, but gets the call about
Nancy. Rolf assures Bart that he would have killed him if he had
needed to. Bart doesn't understand why all the bombs, but Rolf
explains that is the way the "big cheese" wants it.
Bart is confused by the bomb in Maggie's car, but Rolf explains
that with a bomb so close to Stefano, he won't fall under
suspicion. Bart reminds Rolf that Stefano didn't want any
killing, but Rolf doesn't seem to care about that detail. He
tells Bart to get ready and he flips a switch that blows up a
bridge. He explains to Bart that the goal is to blow up the lab,
but with all the other bombs, Salem will think it is the work of
a mad bomber and not make the lab explosion so conspicuous. Bart
thinks that Rolf is having too much fun at this (as do I). Rolf
makes a call to Maggie at Tuscany and pretends to be angry with
her (using an Italian accent). He tells her that he is going to
blow her top. She hangs up on him, thinking it is a prank. Rolf
informs Bart that so far the bombs are 4 for 4 and that the East
Side Lab will be the last hit. He also informs him that the bomb
in Maggie's car is on a timer and that they are going to hit the
power station next.
Ka-Boom!!
Jen is in the car driving home as she talks with JT (who is in a
car seat with huge letters spelling ISAAC on it). She says that
she would love to have another child someday and wonders how
everything went so wrong for her. She sees smoke in the distance
near the bridge and wonders what is going on. She realizes that
the bridge is out, but it is too late as she slams on the brakes.
Close up of the baby seat coming unbuckled as Jen covers her face.
Next you see the car dangling over the edge of the bridge with
the skyline of Salem in the background (cool looking shot). Jen
is out cold as the car teeters on the edge.
Back in Tuscany, Lexie hears rumbling off in the distance and at
first, thinks it's thunder. When she realizes it was the bomb, is
a bit relieved (she is under the impression that there is only
ONE bomb). She finally understands the plan and says that with
the DNA samples gone, they will have to get new ones and they
won't match. She is still worried over betraying Hope though, but
Stefano urges her to just forget about it and continue to keep
the truth from her. Maggie comes by and mentions Lexie's problems.
She assures her that all will be okay and this gives Stefano a
chance to rag Maggie about gossiping. She laughs and tells them
about the prank call she got and that she is going outside to put
the top on her car. Stefano thinks about it and finally gets the
connection. Maggie finds the box (gift wrapped) in her car and
thinks it's a gift from Mickey. She plans on taking it inside to
open it. Stefano warns Lexie to stay right were she is and he
rushes outside. Marlena returns to her table and tells John that
Hope is going to tell Bo the truth. John wants to stop her, but
Marlena tells him it is too late. They see Stefano rush outside
and wonder what he is up to. Hope returns to Bo and tells him
they need to talk. She says that she can't do this anymore. The
secrets and lies have to stop and she begins to explain. Lexie
wonders where Stefano went in such as hurry and gets up to go and
investigate. At just that moment the bomb goes off and it is mass
confusion as glass and debris fly everywhere. Hard to see
everything, but here's what I caught by pausing the tape...Lexie
goes flying through the air screaming, Bo is crushed under a pile
of debris, Victor grabs Nicole and down they go, John grabs
Marlena and they fall to the floor, Philip and Chloe (on their
way out) go rolling across the floor. There is lots of concrete
and other assorted debris falling from the ceiling as the credits
roll.
