MONDAY, APRIL 9, 2001 (**)

Brady gets the truth about Victor...Belle gets into it with Chloe...Marlena
gets a little fun...and Greta gets the goods on Sami. Hmmm...
wonder if Brandon will get something?? ;-) Brady learns the truth
about Victor.
Belle & Chloe Have A Falling Out
Belle and Mimi arrive at dotCom (Belle is taking Brady his jacket).
Through the window, they see Brady and Chloe arguing and wonder
what is going on. Inside, Brady is going off on Chloe for not
telling him about Victor being alive. Chloe tries to calm him
down but he demands for her to tell him where Victor is. Belle
and Mimi come in wanting to know what they are arguing about and
Brady announces that Victor is alive and that Philip and Chloe
knew all along. Chloe swears that she doesn't know the address,
but Victor is with his lawyer and Brady rushes/stumbles off.
Belle lights into Chloe for not telling him earlier. Chloe tries
to explain, but Belle won't listen and continues to berate her
for the way she treats Brady. Chloe explains how she found out
the truth (in the barn). But Belle continues to chew her out (LOL,
be sure to check out Mimi's "big as saucer"
eyes and expressions as all this goes down). Chloe comes back at
Belle, thanking her for showing her how she REALLY feels about
her and pointing out that she never really liked/cared for her at
all. Chloe says maybe they shouldn't be friends after all and
storms out. Outside, she berates herself for allowing herself to
get close to people. Back inside, Belle and Meems agree that
maybe Mimi was right all along about Chloe. Belle thanks her for
standing by her. Mimi tells Belle that it's Chloe's loss.
Nicole and Victor are with Gene talking about living arrangements.
Gene asks if they are planning on living together. Victor tells
him to inform the insurance company that he is still alive and
tomorrow, he plans on going to the media. They talk about Kate as
Nicole chuckles about Kate shopping at yard sales for clothes.
They talk about Philip and Victor says he would like to extend
his trip, keeping distance between him and Chloe (out of sight,
out of mind), but Nicole points out that she always heard that
absence makes the heart grow fonder. Brady storms in, upset that
Nicole, Gene, Philip, Chloe and "half of Salem" knew he
was alive but not him, his grandson. Victor asks everyone to
leave him alone with Brady and he apologizes. Nicole and Gene go
outside as he questions her about her and Victor (she tells him
it's an NYB). She gets insulted at his insinuations that she
slept her way to the top (well, honey, if the shoe fits). Back
inside, Victor tries to explain why he didn't tell him, but Brady
isn't buying it. He tells him how Marlena treated him in Paris
and that he thought that Victor was different. Brady explains
that it was Chloe who spilled the beans and this infuriates
Victor. Victor tries to make amends and then asks for a favor, to
keep Chloe away from Philip. Brady agrees to do his best, but no
promises. They talk about living arrangements. Victor offers to
let him live with him, but thinks he should be with his father.
Brady goes to leave and Victor hugs him and assures him that he
loves him. Later, Gene goes to leave and tells Victor that he
hopes he knows what he's doing (referring to Nicole). After
everyone is gone, Nicole starts to flirt, but Victor tells her he
has an important call to make and she leaves the room.
Chloe runs to the docks to cry and have herself a pity party.
Brady walks up behind her and offers her (what looks like) a
napkin from dotCom to cry on.
Cha-Cha At Tuscany
Brandon and Sami wait for Ms. Nesbit (the baby sitter) to arrive
as he continues to flirt with her. Sami (who seems to be a bit
uncomfortable) offers a snack before they go. She comments that
her cooking is so bad, she can only offer him some Crunchy
Munchies (Will's cereal). As they munch on the cereal, they talk
about Kate and how Sami hates that she got off the hook and Sami
doesn't even get child support.
John and Marlena are leaving Tuscany but John sees Maggie near
the door and suggests that they stay so they sit at the bar.
Greta and Austin arrive and Maggie goes on and on about the
"princess" and in the process embarrasses Greta (as
well as herself). Greta flashes back to seeing Brandon and Sami
at the hospital as Maggie shows them to their table. (Greta asks
for the corner table or as Maggie calls it "the lovers table").
John and Marlena decide not to leave after all and talk briefly
about Brady. John tells her that he will talk to Brady tomorrow
about getting a job. As he and Marlena kiss, they are interrupted
by the bartender and order drinks. He a tequila on the rocks and
she a "stinger". She confesses she has never had one,
but has heard about them. John tells her to take it easy and
reminds her about one night at Blondie's and they laugh about it.
As they kiss, Maggie walks up, talking then changes her mind as
they ignore her (LOL). They finish their drinks and Marlena wants
to dance, but John complains that the music is too slow. He tells
Maggie to mix it up. To herself, she comments that he is NEVER
satisfied.
During this time, Maggie stops by and chats with Greta, who asks
Maggie not to tell anyone that she and Austin are there (like
Sami in particular, even though Greta doesn't say it). Anyway,
Maggie gets the drift. She and Austin order and participate in
some mindless banter ;-) Meanwhile Sami and Brandon arrive.
Maggie (who's in rare form tonight) comments on Sami's "unique"
dress. Sami chatters about Brandon being her hero and he comments
on Maggie's behavior, saying she has probably "knocked back
one or two". Maggie politely informs him that she is a
recovering alcoholic and has been sober for over 20 years (you go
girl!) She shows them to their table in the middle of the
restaurant, giving Greta the catbird's seat (Austin has his back
to them). Sami and Brandon order and when their food comes, they
dive in. Brandon comments that he loves a woman who loves to eat.
GROSS, as we see extreme close ups of the food going into their
mouths. Sami leans over and (putting this delicately) gets
spaghetti all over her chest area. Brandon points it out to her
and she says "Oh, my God, my boobs are in my spaghetti"
(Well SHE didn't bother putting it delicately! LOL) From the
catbird table, Austin and Greta talk about Brandon and Sami as
Greta suggests that maybe Brandon has ulterior motives. Sami
returns from the ladies room after cleaning her dress. He asks
her to dance, but she complains about the music. All of a sudden,
a Salsa music starts playing. They start dancing and Sami bumps
into Marlena and John (who are also dancing). John congratulates
her on getting Will back as Marlena thanks Brandon for helping
her out. Everyone starts dancing again as Greta asks Austin where
Sami learned to dance so well. Austin turns to see Brandon
dipping Sami. Austin looks shocked (I think) as the credits roll.
Laney
TUESDAY, APRIL 10, 2001 (**)
On The Pier
Brady finds Chloe crying on the pier and hands her a Kleenex.
He's nice to her and even offers to share his Buddys Burger Barn
fries (how come we never see them at Buddys?), but she refuses
being theyre dripping in grease. (He offered to share his
cheeseburger with her too, but remembered she's a vegetarian.)
They argue over who had the worst evening. Solemnly she refuses
to take his abuse again and wonders if he didn't run into her by
accident, but found her to harass again. He tells her the world
doesnt revolve around her (listen to what your'e saying then
Brady) and he came there to think. She asks what happened and he
told her he had a chat with his grandfather. She tells him she's
met her grandfather, but hasnt met her grandmother. Her
grandfather only made a cameo appearance in her life so far. She
asks about Philip and he tells her hes out of town. The two argue
and he reminds her hes the only one left she has to talk with.
She recalls when she was younger and her adoptive parents were
good to her and probably did love her, but died before she
understood that. She remembers when her adopted mom made an apple
pie and how good it smelled. He says he knows how she feels and
she wonders how being hes lived with his father all his life. He
recalls Marlena telling him over milk and cookies that she was
not his real mother and how his real mother had died. He ran
upstairs and threw around his toys in anger and Marlena never
came upstairs to be with him and he knew she didnt love him. Hes
been angry every since about that. Chloe figures maybe Marlena
does love him. He tells her forget about Philip as theyre the
titanic of love affairs. Philip will be in that last lifeboat and
shell go down with the ship. Upset, she rushes off as Brady calls
after her.
Digging In The Rubble At The Mansion
Kate is digging through the rubble looking for anything of value.
She thinks she found her tennis bracelet worth at least $25,000,
but it was only a copy. She remembers how Victor and Austin both
told her they were through with her and she only has Lucas now..but
even his life is hanging on by a thread. She prays to find
something she can sell. She finds her cellphone and calls to
check on Lucas (no change in his condition). She prays Lucas gets
better and wonders how shell take care of him if he does. Shes
determined to find anything she can pawn in the rubble. She
flashes back to when Austin and Billie were toddlers and she
tried to pawn a stolen watch (wearing a wig, tight leather skirt
and low cut orange blouse). She decides to leave being its too
dark to see anything and goes to the maids (her) car. She tries
to start it (note the peace sign hanging on the mirror, LOL).
She must have gotten it started as we next see her at the
hospital. The nurses tell her she has to clean up before going
into Lucas sterile room and lead her off to a shower and fresh
scrubs. Kate looks into the mirror after changing into fresh
scrubs and showered. She sees herself made up with hair styled,
but the mirror changes back to reality. Now in a cap and gown,
Kate whispers to Lucas shes figured out how they can get their
life back.
Victor Gets A New Address
A realtor comes out to see Victor. Shes surprised to see hes
still alive, and recalls the infamous Dallas episode. Nicole
disses the chatter and wants to get down to business and Victor
spots the house he wants in her ads. He doesnt argue paying the $8,000
a month rent as Nicole tries to negotiate. The realtor promises
to send the keys out to him by messenger, glares at Nicole and
leaves. Victor tells Nicole he appreciates her help and helping
him feel youthful again, but will control his own life. He
finally allows her to live in the house with him, but in separate
bedrooms. She promises to be discreet and feels she's proven her
loyalty to him, but he said Kate said those very words to him.
Hell take it a day at a time. If he gets any indication shes
playing games with him, she wont live to regret it.
Tuscany
Back at Tuscany, Sami doesnt see Austin observing her and Brandon.
He tells Greta that Sami deserves to celebrate and when she
mentions Brandon, says he helped Sami get her son back. Greta
thanks him for helping her too and as he stares into her eyes,
tells her shes welcome and they toast glasses.
After their dance, Marlena, John, Brandon and Sami return to her
table. Shes on a high about having her son back (yeah, thats why
shes spending so much time with him, haha) and accidentally falls
into Brandons arms. He catches her and she thanks him for always
saving her and gives him a big, long kiss on the lips after
telling her parents how Brandon is responsible for getting Will
back to her. Greta watches as Austin observes this. He tries to
pretend its just Sami and beside, her mothers there. Greta
reminds him that Sami said she was going to be home with her son,
but he figures she changed his mind. More dance music starts up
and the foursome return to the dance floor. Austin asks Greta to
dance, saying it might be time to let everyone know they're there.
The music changes to a tango and Sami and Brandon continue
dancing. Marlena tries to sit down, saying she doesnt tango, but
John grabs her and tells her yes she does, LOL. Maggie watches
the two tango and gets a call from Cheryl, the realtor. She knows
Maggie loves gossip and calls to tell her about renting a house
to Victor Kiriakis. Maggie thanks her and hangs up. Austin
watches Sami and Brandon dance seductively changes his mind about
dancing apparently, as he asks Greta if shes ready to go. As they
stand up to leave, Sami spots Austin and has the old deer in
headlights look.
John and Marlena are heading out when Maggie tells them she was
waiting for a call from Bo and Hope about the baby (trying to
tell them about Victor), but when John hears JT was taken to the
hospital, wants to rush to see how he is. He cant understand why
Hope didnt call him about this and Marlena assures him Hopes got
a husband to be there for her. Demanding HES JTs father, feels
Hope should have called him and they head out, ignoring Maggie
calling their names.
Maggie is desperate to tell someone her news about Victor and
tells the people around her. Dave the waiter (remember him from
Blondies and Dougs Club??, I do!) hands Greta the bill. Sami
comes over and talks to Austin, but he coolly tells her to have a
good evening as he puts Gretas wrap on her shoulders and they
leave. Sami decides she doesnt owe any apology to Austin as she
invited him to celebrate first and asks Brandon to dance again.
From the lobby, Austin admits being jealous to Greta (as she pays
for their dinner). He knows Sami just wants to have a family for
Will and has second thoughts about waiting now. He watches Sami
backed up to Brandon on the dance floor as they seductively dance
as the credits roll.
WEDNESDAY, APRIL 11, 2001 (**)
Where There Is A Will
Sami is taking Will to school, and decides to use him to connive
Austin. She whispers in his ear as they knock on Austin's door,
and Will asks Austin to walk him to school with mommy. Austin
agrees, but a neighbor arrives with her little girl and offers to
take Will with them. Sami quickly agrees (so much for all this
time she spends with Will....lol) and proceeds to come on to a
barechested Austin. She pushes him on the sofa, and after getting
him all worked up....backs off telling him since he thinks they
previously moved too fast, he should take a shower...and make it
a cold one! LOL. When he returns, he wants to know more about the
agreement she has w/Kate & Lucas, but she refuses, saying
that tho she has loved him forever, if it comes to a choice
between Will and Austin, she chooses her son. Austin says he has
to go to hospital to see Lucas, and Sami asks to go along,
mentioning maybe she can get her old job back.
Breakfast At Wesleys
Nancy is on the phone telling Philip that Chloe has already left
for school. As she sits down at the breakfast table, Craig notes
the headlines in the paper saying Victor K. is still alive. Chloe
comes down and joins them. She ignores Nancy, and talks only to
Craig. Nancy mentions Victor being alive, Chloe not being
surprised and asks if Philip had already told her. Chloe jumps on
her, refusing to be nice to her, as Craig tries to make her
behave. Chloe rants about Nancy forcing her into that exam,
saying Nancy only wanted to satisfy her curiosity as to whether
Chloe was still a virgin. Craig truly tries to make her see that
her cry of rape was the reason, but Chloe goes on about Nancy not
telling her who her father is. Craig says that somewhere along
the line he began to think of her as HIS daughter, and wants them
all to be a family. He lays down the law, and cites respect rules
(must've been talking to John, lol) but Chloe just rants on, says
mean things to Nancy, and leaves for school. Craig tries to
convince Nancy to reveal the name of Chloe's father, but Nancy
says "never"!
More Sparring
at the penthouse. Marlena comes downstairs, greets Brady, who is
reading the newspaper. The headline surprise her, and she asks
Brady about Victor. Surly Brady replies that he may have to be
civil to her, but that does not include discussing his personal
life. He goes round and round on the same carousel of insults.
Marlena retains her cool, and just as she leaves, Chloe arrives,
wanting to know where Philip is. Brady insinuates that Philip is
gone on purpose, wanting to stay away from a girl who would stoop
so low as to accuse him of rape.
In The Sick Room
Kate is at Lucas's bedside, telling him how she will figure
something out, and will always take care of him. The doctor
arrives, telling her that although Lucas has been removed from
ICU, he needs a great deal of long term care, skin grafts (hmmmm??)
and will have to be moved to another facility. When Kate asks
"on whose dime" and asks about a state facility in
Salem, the doctor informs her, to her surprise, the expenses will
be paid by the Kiriakis Foundation.
Out In The Waiting Area
John arrives to berate Hope for not telling him about JT. She
says it is because of Bo, and asks if Marlena knows he is there.
John's silence is the answer. They talk of how awkward it is
about Marlena and Bo. Dr. Maxwell arrives, telling them the
procedure went well, and JT can go home in 1/2 hour. (So where is
BO when his child is having this "procedure"?) Hope and
John are both grateful, and hug each other, as Marlena comes upon
them. She has harsh words for them both, asking Hope to keep her
hands off her husband, and talking of being tired of having to
put up with the problems of John's sons, mentioning briefly her
morning session w/Brady. She is very angry, but holding her own,
and walks off as John goes after her.
Austin briefly visits Lucas's room, and then says he has to get
over to Titan. Sami begs Brenda (aka Nurse Ratchett as that is
what Sami called her in private to Austin) for her job back. The
nurse rants on about Sami being gone for months, but Sami pulls
her "poor me, single mother" routine, and is rewarded
with employment once again.
The Clash Of The Titans
Victor arrives to a round of applause from his employees, then
goes into the Board room, where he receives another round. He
explains about the case of mistaken identity (he sure lies with
applomb), mentions his house burning down....and a new beginning.
He then announces the new President of Titan and editor in chief
on Bella magazine, and opens the door to reveal Nicole......dressed
in a chic black suit, with a skirt that she surely cannot sit
down in...it is so short. (Billie would be sooooo envious).
Murmurs of surprise, as the Board gives a half-hearted weak round
of applause. Two female members whisper something to the effect
that most of her work will probably be on her back. (Oh, MEOW...ROTFL)
The Board questions Kate's status, and ask about Philip, and
Victor says Kate resigned to pursue other interests, and informs
them Philip will be living with him. As they ask about Austin,
and are assured he will still have his job (what job......this
guy has not worked there in months!), Austin bursts into the room
asking about Kate. Nicole takes charge, takes him out in the
hall, and informs him her mother does not work here any more, and
she has Kate's job. He adds "and her man", and asks if
Vic realizes Kate has no where to live. She says yes he does, but
he still has his job there. He tells her to take the job and
shove it. She says he should not be so precipitous...and he tells
her that no matter how many big words she learns, it doesn't stop
her morals from being in the gutter. Kate walks in, happy to hear
her son defending her, has a few words with Nicole, then is
appalled to see her name being removed from her office door and
replaced by Nicole's.
The Face Off
Lexie & Celeste are playing with Isaac (Celeste's hair looks
great, up and very curly) when there is a knock at the door. She
panics when she sees it is Glen & Barb, and tells Celeste to
take Isaac upstairs. She opens the door, Glen & Barb bully
their way inside. They tell Lexie they know everything, and want
to see Glen's son. Celeste comes downstairs and they all argue.
The baby cries, and Glen starts to go upstairs, but is blocked by
Lexie. Celeste joins her, then goes up to quiet the baby. Lexie
kicks the two of them out of her home, and outside they decide to
see a lawyer. Inside, Lexie is beside herself, and Celeste tells
her this is one time it is good she has Stefano for a father, as
she definitely needs him now. Lexie insists to herself that no
one will ever take her son away from her, as God is her witness.
And the credits roll.
THURSDAY, APRIL 12, 2001 (**)

The teens and Abby head for school, Kate packs up and leaves
Titan, Jen and Jack look at a house, and Bo and Hope bring JT
home to find Lexie there.
Bye Bye Kate
Kate packs up clothes out of her office. Victor (thinking they're
Nicole's) tells her to put them back. She informs him these
dresses are hers, cost more than $39.99 and there's enough
material in one of her dresses to make 6 of the slutty dresses
Nicole wears to the board room, LOL. He informs her Nicole
doesn't have to spend a lot to look nice. She jabs him with older
men needing more stimulus for ever weakening responses. She
doesn't kid herself when looking in the mirror, but tells him he
deserves better than Nicole. She refuses leaving before packing
all that she has left in the world and tells him the car doesn't
start all the time either. He tells her to talk less and pack
faster. She asks if after all the years of loyalty, she's out. He
tells her she's still beautiful and was loyal, but after two
murder attempts, she's outta there. Cleaning out her drawers, she
tries to get Victor to consider reconciliation for Philip's sake.
Victor chuckles, asking if she actually thinks he'd sleep in the
same bed as her. Maybe she thinks the 3rd time's the charm,
perhaps with a hatchet this time. She wonders what parent Philip
will choose to live with. He threatens her not to meddle with
trying to get Philip back. She doesn't bend and promises to get
her sons back. (Hey, how about thanking the Victor Kiriakis
Foundation for all of Lucas' medical bills Kate?)
In the hall Nicole tells Austin that Kate looks more like his
grandmother than mother. Seeing her in the gutter is like the
last scene in Touched by an Angel, a happy ending. She calls
Austin "butch" when he tells her to shut up. Austin
agrees his mother made some mistakes, but tells Nicole not to
gloat so much, it could have been her. She suggests he have Kate
live with him and invite Sami over for dinner. She recommends he
check the lasagna for arsenic first though as guns and blunt
instruments haven't worked. He asks what she's talking about. She
suggests he ask his mother and frustrated, he tells her a poor
winner is better than a poor loser. He walks away hoping to never
see her again.
Kate walks out of her old office with suitcases in hand as Nicole
grabs Kate by the hair and warns her never to come back there.
Kate promises revenge as Victor tells her to leave and Nicole to
go in her office. After Kate's gone he comes in and tells Nicole
to never do that again. He warns her taunting Kate is like
taunting a rattlesnake, don't do it. She agrees and tells him
she's learning from him. She comes onto him and he stops to
continue his lecture for her to be wary of Kate. She tells him he
needs more fun in his life. She orders Denise to get the
decorator and fabric samples to redo the office and get rid of
Kate's smell.
Austin catches up with Kate outside Titan. He helps her put the
bags in the trunk (it doesn't open with the key, so she kicks it
and it opens, LOL). He asks her to live with him, but she tells
him she doesn't like his neighborhood or neighbor and thanks him
anyway. She leaves, knowing where she's going (but doesn't share
it with us) as he asks her to keep in touch.
Salem High
Belle finds Shawn and asks if he knows where Philip is as she's
worried about him. Shawn suggests asking Chloe, but Belle informs
him she's finished with Chloe. She tells Shawn how Chloe knew
about Victor being alive and he tries to justify it that she lied
for Philip's sake. That doesn't fly anymore for Belle, she just
doesn't trust Chloe any more and tells him he shouldn't either.
Shawn tries to stand up for Chloe, but Belle tells him what the
other kids are saying about Chloe may be right.
Brady is driving Chloe to school so she won't be late. The crabby
teen finds everything argumentable. He tells her that she and
Philip are doomed and to just accept that (remembering Grandpa
Vic's request he help keep Philip and Chloe apart). The two
bicker as he warns her she won't be able to pursue opera life
with a boyfriend. (these two should become poster teens for
Planned Parenthood, I swear!!) He vents that Philip left town to
get away from her, just like his father wanted. (note how far
they're driving..remember how Chloe used to stop by to WALK to
school with Belle, hard to believe as far as they're driving,
guess the penthouse is plopped in the middle of a residential
neighborhood?? ) Chloe asks what Mr. Kiriakis has to do with all
this? What he says backfires as she realizes Philip was right not
to trust her as she DID tell someone about his father being alive.
She feels she has to make this up to Philip as Brady realizes he
blew what he was trying to do. Chloe jumps out at school as Belle
pops up at Brady's window, asking what he's doing there. She asks
why he was with Chloe after what happened and being she's not
talking to Chloe anymore, can't ask her. He tells Belle to
lighten up on Chloe as she hasn't had her life growing up, but
his.
Jan and Mimi chat with Kevin. He's planted something in the chem
lab that will require Chloe to run to the showers. He warns Jan
it could be dangerous as it has corrosive capability.
Later, in the classroom, one of the guys has a newspaper and they
speculate what happened. Jan tells them Chloe sucked the blood
out of Victor's neck and Philip wouldn't see her anymore unless
she put it back. She wouldn't and accused him of rape. They all
laugh as Chloe walks up and they chant "ghoul girl".
One of the guys asks her not to accuse him of rape. Chloe notes
Belle watching from afar and turns to her locker.
Shawn overhears Belle mention his name to Mimi (they were
wondering if Chloe will go after Shawn). Belle lets Shawn know
that the kids calling Chloe ghoul girl is not her problem and he
rushes off to ask Chloe a question about trig.
A New Home For Jack & Jen
Jack and Jen are driving Abby to school. Jen gets irritated by
his joking around, which he picks up on quickly and hushes. Abby
asks them where SHE'S going to live if they both stay in Salem
and why does Jen not like Jack's jokes. Abby tells her parents
she loves them as they drop her off at school. Jen cues Jack in
that she's been there before with his promises.
Jack and Jen are shown a house by Madge, a realtor (no, not
blabber mouth Cindy, Victor's agent). Jen wastes no time telling
the realtor that she has had to become blunt in dealing with her
relationship with Jack's flights of fantasy. She and her EX
husband will each have their own bedroom and need a house to
cohabitate in for their daughter's sake (the poor realtor is
clearly uncomfortable). Jack tries to lighten the moment telling
the agent the martyr (Jen) needs her own cell, but Jen tells the
agent to deal directly with her. (note the clock in the house
they're looking at says 5:35, my, our Salemites are out romping
around town and going to school early..and it's so BRIGHT
outside, haha) Madge tells them she'll meet them outside and Jen
thanks her as she rips Jack a new one. She tells him he uses Abby
to get what HE wants. She warns him she will try this for Abby's
sake, but if he pulls the same number again, she'll disappear
again with Abby. He threatens to fight for sole custody if she
does as he storms out.
At Stefano's
Stefano (with fire crackling as the rest of Salem is running
around in shirt sleeves) tells Rolf they have to deal with Glen
quickly. They have to prove he's not Isaac's father and hope that
Lexie doesn't ask why. He can't tell her everything yet, but
knows one day he can as she'll be all his.
Home With The Brady's
Bo and Hope return home from the hospital with JT. They open
their door to find Lexie sitting in the living room waiting for
them, frantic about Isaac (maybe Shawn let her in before school?).
After they put JT to bed, they come downstairs and Lexie tells
them about Glen's visit. She wants to know what happened at the
hospital (guess it was an early morning procedure as school
hasn't even started yet and they're bringing JT home already?)
They tell her how Glen and Barb told them how heavily Marlo drank
and the two wonder how come Isaac is so healthy, yet Hope only
drank in her first trimester and isn't. (Hmmm, I wonder ;-) Lexie
is glad her father is helping her, but Bo isn't, saying Stefano's
probably responsible for this whole mess (aha, think about it Bo!)
Lexie vents and runs out, telling herself to think like a Dimera!
She remembers being a doctor and the DNA can't match as the
credits roll.

Friday the 13th is a BAD day for the Salemites. Even
though spring is in the air, someone has replaced it with
bitterness, cruelty and hatred in Salem. Marlena goes head to
head with Hope... then goes another round at home with Brady. (Big
thumbs up to both Deidre & Kristian for their strong
performances).
Saved By The Belle
At school, Shawn follows Chloe (as Mimi and Belle watch) and they
talk about Philip. He wants to know what is going on and Chloe
tells him that Victor sent him away. She tells Shawn that her
relationship with Philip was just a teenage crush and is now over.
Jan joins Belle and Mimi and sees Shawn and Chloe and rubs it in,
infuriating Belle. Jan drags Mimi off and tells her that after
they are finished with Chloe, even Shawn won't have anything to
do with her. They go over their plan and both laugh at how
Chloe's family (as well as the Kiriakis' will be shocked). Kevin
(the nerd) tells them that all is set in chemistry class and is
ready for his payment, a kiss from Jan. They make fun of his
nerdy behavior (everything from the way he dresses and acts,
rides the bus and says "anyhoo"). He tells them that he
has been dreaming of this kiss and prattles on about using it to
collect data. Jan finally agrees (as Mimi urges her on, taunting
her). Jan is really grossed out about it and tells him that he
would have to improve to be pathetic. As they get ready to kiss,
Mimi is saying "Dead Woman Walking" (LOL), rubbing salt
in Jan's wound. Kevin hands Mimi a stopwatch, saying it must be
at least 10 seconds long. They kiss and you can tell Jan is
getting into it, not even wanting to stop when the stopwatch goes
off. After he leaves, Jan is in a daze, floating about 3 feet off
the ground, saying it was magic. She says it was the best kiss
over, which is totally incomprehensible to Mimi, who reminds her
it WAS Kevin she kissed.
Meanwhile, Belle overhears some kids talking about Chloe and then
she watches Shawn and Chloe talking about Philip. Shawn doesn't
buy the line that Philip was just a crush and tells her that he
KNOWS how Philip feels about her. Chloe asks why he even cares
and he tells her that both of them are his friends. She tells him
to just forget it, it's over. As they talk, kids come by and
tease her about being a vampire and he takes up for her as she
storms off. He asks Belle to talk to her and she refuses and
storms off as well. There is a heavy girl (the NEW teen, Susan
Adamson) walking down the hall and the kids tease her (calling
her "Gargantua"). The teacher (Mr. Woods) breaks it up
and talks to another student about it and how wrong it is.
Another girl comes by and tells Shawn that she will check his
neck tomorrow for fang marks. (Boy, this sure is a bunch of NICE
kids!) Shawn and Belle argue again over Chloe and he tells her he
is disappointed in her attitude. She accuses him of wanting Chloe.
He says right now, he likes Chloe a LOT more than he likes her,
which ticks her off and she stomps off again. Mr. Woods asks
Belle what is going on with Chloe and she plays dumb. In class,
Chloe has flashbacks of Philip as her cell phone rings and it's
him. The teacher comes in and turns off her phone, reminding her
it's against the rules. Some guy tosses something at her. She
picks up a book and throws it at him, hitting him in the face,
causing his nose to bleed. Chloe only smiles.
Marlena Pushed To The Edge
Lexie shows up at the hospital, determined to be a DiMera and do
what her father would do, make sure the DNA doesn't match. She
tries to distract the nurses with baby pictures and learns that
the guy who picks up the lab work hasn't arrived yet. While she
is there, he (Roger) makes his pickup and she questions the
nurses about him. She tells them that she has got to get home to
Isaac.
Meanwhile, Marlena is with her secretary Kelly (who is TRYING to
go over Marlena's messages). Marlena is really short with her and
dismisses her. She has flashbacks of John and Hope hugging and
there is a knock at the door. She stomps over, ready to berate
Kelly, only to find Hope. She asks what does SHE want and is very
short with her. Hope comes on in and they immediately get into an
argument. Hope calls her selfish and wants her to think of the
innocent that will be hurt, JT. Hope wishes it were all
different, but it isn't and they must deal with it. Marlena says
that she looked awfully comfortable in John's arms. As they get
nasty, they argue and the voices are raised. Marlena accuses her
of wanting to remember what happened and wonders if she will be
able to resist the temptation of sleeping with John again. Hope
accuses her of just wanting to remain angry. Marlena spits out
"Listen, my DEAR" and lights into her. Hope comes right
back at her and Marlena calls her the "martyred mother".
Marlena assures her that the truth WILL come out and lives will
be destroyed. Hope warns her not to say anything or she will
regret it and storms over to the door. They argue in the doorway
as Lexie walks around the corner and overhears. Marlena slams the
door in Hope's face and cries. Hope rushes off, followed by Lexie
who questions her, telling her she heard the argument. Hope
doesn't want to talk about it and tells her to just drop it. She
won't and offers to help her. Hope says she can't talk about it
with Lexie.
At the penthouse, John and Brady are meeting with Brady's lawyer
(Cameron Reese) about the lawsuit and she calls it a slam dunk.
She wants to settle out of court, but Brady won't hear of it. She
asks him if he is out revenge, which he denies. She is smarter
than that and sees right through him and tries to talk him out of
it. Marlena arrives home to overhear part of this. (Now, just HOW
did she get past Hope and Lexie and get home so fast, while THEY
are still talking in the hallway at the hospital? Hmmm) She comes
in the penthouse and Brady accuses her of being disrespectful by
eavesdropping. Everyone can see that Marlena is in an ill mood,
especially Cameron, who picks up and suggests that they continue
later. Marlena goes through her mail to find it opened and gets
upset. Brady owns up to it which makes her even madder. After
Cameron leaves, John tries to intercede, but Brady stirs the pot,
making matters worse and it escalates into a heated argument.
Marlena tells Brady that he needs to get a job, which infuriates
him. John wants everyone to stay calm and talk it over, but
Marlena is sure that John will turn it all around to be HER
fault, as he always does. Brady accuses her of opening HIS mail
before and even throwing it away, which she flatly denies. She
then remembers finding a girly mag in his room (when he was 12)
and tossing it out. The mail that Brady opened was about a
conference in New York. She informs them that she IS going and
storms upstairs to pack. She cries as she packs and says that
Brady is driving her out of her own home and she can't take it
anymore. Downstairs, John jumps Brady, as he innocently explains
that he actually opened the letter by mistake but couldn't tell
her that. John tell him to "get his butt" upstairs and
apologize to her right now.
Meanwhile back at the hospital, Lexie is still working on Hope.
She tells Hope that she heard enough of the argument to know that
Bo isn't JT's father. Apparently BOTH she and Marlena know just
WHO the father is, NOW Lexie wants to know as well as the credits
roll.
