Episode #9010 (Sweetened)
Directed by: Randy Robbins
Tape Date: 2/22/01
A Night Out For Hattie
Hattie and Rolf arrive at the Blue Note (WOW Andrea looks
gorgeous in that periwinkle blue dress!). The waiter compliments
her and she doesn't want to believe him. Rolf keeps on telling
her that she is beautiful as he gets flustered in his bumbling
attempt to flirt with her. The waiter brings them their drinks
and a bowl of nuts. Hattie jumps on the nuts, cramming them in
her mouth and ends up dropping some down the front of her dress.
Rolf scolds her and says she must stop eating like a chimpanzee.
She gets insulted and says that he says things like that just to
make her mad. She feels that he is playing some kind of game with
her. He denies it and she points out that bad things happen when
she is around him, like finding dead bodies. He tries to convince
her that body wasn't real and just a prop. She keeps talking
about the body and Rolf tells her to just forget about it or she
could be in danger. Hattie is afraid she will be next. She wants
to know what Rolf is up to and he assures her nothing is going
on, but she doesn't believe him. She wonders what it would be to
go back to her old life and just be Hattie Adams, waitress. Rolf
suggests that they dance and she is taken aback. Later we see
them on the dance floor dancing quite awkwardly (about 4 feet
apart). He tells her that he is no adonis, but they could dance
closer. She obliges and they begin to get better as she tells him
he is really light on his feet, and then he dips her.
The Marlo Investigation
At the police station, the cop comes in and gives Bo the note
about the tip on the body. Bo doesn't recognize the name, but
Hope blurts out that Marlo is Isaac's mother. She backs up and
says she is only speculating as they both wonder if it could be
the same Marlo. Bo questions Hope as to what Lexie told her, but
she plays dumb with him. Bo assumes that Marlo never left town
and that Stefano murdered her. He gets excited and says that this
may be his chance to hang the bastard as Hope tries to stop him.
Bo won't listen to her and determined to get the goods on Stefano
and sees this as his chance to take him down. Hope tries to stop
him and he wants an explanation. She explains that if it IS the
same Marlo, Lexie could lose her baby. Bo questions her further
and she feels bad about betraying Lexie, but tells him about her
fears. Bo thinks that Stefano killed Marlo and that Lexie is
protecting him. Hope can't believe that Bo is accusing Lexie of
being an accessory. She tells him that this investigation will
end up destroying Abe ane Lexie's lives and asks him if he MUST
investigate, to do it quietly and not tell Abe, upsetting them
for no reason. She bets Bo and he finally caves and agrees not to
tell about this new lead. He says if this lead pans out, Lexie
will find out the truth, whether she likes it or not.
Lexie Runs To Daddy Again
Lexie beats a path to the DiMansion and is upset. She explains
what happened as he tries to calm her down and assure her that no
one will go to the police. She is a nervous wreck as he tries to
put her mind at ease. He tells her that if someone does show up,
there will have to be DNA tests and even then, this whole thing
can be tied up in the courts for a long time. She points out that
lawyers take money to which he replies "That's what Daddy is
for" (AAARRRRGH!, he playing her like a cheap violin). She
gets to feeling better and thanks him. He tells her to stay calm
and keep Abe in the dark, they have only one goal, that is to
protect Isaac. Lexie leaves and decides to stop by Hope's on the
way home. There are no lights on and she hears on the radio that
tonight is Jazz Night at the Blue Note, so she decides to stop by
there and have a drink.
Bye Bye Will
We get a replay of Lucas signing the custody papers as Kate
assures him that he will never lose Will's love. Sami rushes off
to find Will and get him packed up. Lucas goes for a drink as
Kate tries to stop him and takes away his car keys. She offers to
go and get Will so he can say goodbye privately. Sami and the
rest are in the foyer as she bundles Will up to head outside.
Austin stops her and tries to get her to let Lucas have some time
with him first. She refuses and heads out the door. Brandon
pushes past Austin and offers to take her home and they leave.
Kate comes out wanting to know where Will is and finds out he is
gone and she is furious. Lucas comes out to see Will and Kate
tells him and he falls to pieces. He sinks to the floor in a
crying heap (as everyone watches him) calling for Will. Even
Mickey says that what Sami did was unconscionable and says that
both she and Lucas need to attend parenting classes. Kate says
she will live to regret it as Lucas continues to blubber in the
floor crying for Will. (geez, this is heart breaking). Austin and
Henderson help him up and Lucas vows to get his son back. Austin
tries to calm him down, but Lucas goes for a drink. Mickey tells
Austin there were no winners tonight and that he is very
disappointed in Sami's actions. He then asks Austin if he
believes that HE has a future with Sami. Lucas sits alone by the
fire (in the den) and drinks. He picks up one of Will's toys and
begins to have flashbacks. (Bunches of flashbacks, beginning with
when he found out that he was Will's father). The flashbacks are
set to music (not familiar with the song, but I think the title
was "Always and Always"). These scenes are
heartbreaking as Kate watches from the doorway. She comes in and
puts her arm around him and holds him and strokes his hair as he
sobs uncontrollably. Lucas picks up the fire poker and says that
this is where it all started. Kate tells him that it is over now
and the lies are locked away. She tells him that they are
starting with a clean slate, he WILL move on from this and it
won't keep him down. She reminds him that both she and him are
SURVIVORS. He starts sobbing again and she simply holds him and
comforts him.
Home Sweet Home?
Sami, Brandon and Will arrive at her apartment and she is excited
to have him home. But Will keeps asking about "daddy".
She tries to talk with him, but with no luck. Brandon gives it a
shot, telling Will that his mommy wants him to be happy. She
rushes Will off to his room and then thanks Brandon for
everything he has done for her and hugs him, telling him she
loves him. He realizes that she only used him and now wants
Austin. She tells him that it is Austin she loves and always will.
He gets mad and storms out. Brandon goes to the Blue Note and
drinks at the bar (having flashbacks of Sami). Someone comes in
and asks him if that seat next to him is taken (you don't see
her, but it's Lexie's voice). Later, Sami is in bed with Will,
reading him a story. She tucks him in and he asks for Daddy. She
tries to smooth it over, but he keeps asking for Lucas. With a
disgusted look on her face, the credits roll.

Greta and Sami extend their claws over Austin, the
Black's pair off and have light bulb moments, Lexie and Brandon
have a chat at the Blue Note.
Episode #9011 (Sweetened)
Directed by: Roger Inman
Tape Date: 2/23/01
Home With Sami & WIll
Sami set her hair in curlers after putting Will to bed. Austin
drops by and she invites him in. He asks if she's alone with
Will, or is Brandon with her. She explains that Brandon left and
Austin gives her champagne and flowers to celebrate getting Will
back. He admits being upset how she left, but after a while,
realized what it meant to her. She agrees Will needs two parents,
but had someone else in mind to help raise Will. After Austin
pops the champagne cork, there's a knock on the door. Guess who?
Greta. She walks in smiling and greets Austin as Sami starts
yanking the rollers out of her hair (wow, sure dried fast ;-)
During surgery in Paris they must have beefed up Greta's back
bone as she gives Sami a run for her money in getting Austin's
attention. She tells Austin about how well the plans for the
orphanage are coming along and wants to show them to him. He's of
course interested, but Sami asks if she's referring to now. Greta
apologizes, probably catching her just as she was going to bed.
You can almost see the claws on both women as they both know how
to manipulate Austin. Greta finally wins as Austin leaves with
her to go to his apartment to look at the plans. Sami tries to
have Austin stay for some of the champagne he just opened so it
won't go to waste, Greta suggests they bring it over to his place
so it won't. Austin tells Sami she's had a big day and he'll get
more champagne tomorrow for them to celebrate. Sami mocks Greta
through the door as she listens to them talking. The two women
glare at each other as Greta catches Sami watching her as she
walks away with Austin.
In Austin's apartment, Greta and Austin sip their champagne. She
offers her help with his problems with his family and talk about
their journey. She admits not thinking twice about popping over
to his place and didn't realize he'd be on a hot date with Sami.
She tries to find out how he stands with Sami. Greta tells Austin
that Sami has always wanted him, as any girl would, saying how
he's so handsome and strong. He laughs saying he's not good
enough for a princess and she teases him that he might have been
a prince turned into a frog in a previous life. She pulls out the
orphanage plans.
Alone, Sami talks to herself, vowing that Austin is hers, not
Greta's. She calls Roman to tell him the good news, but gets his
recorder (must pick up on first ring!). She doesn't tell Roman
her good news on the recording, just that she has some. She calls
Brandon next and gets his recorder (also must pick up on first
ring). She thanks him again for his help getting Will and how
he'll always be part of her life and in her heart, thinking of
their kiss.
At The Blue Note
Brandon sips his drink and remembers dancing with Sami. (aren't
Rolf and Hattie at the Blue Note too?) Lexie pops in and the two
catch up at the bar. He misses her at the hospital (gee, he
hasn't been there that much either, haha). She's loving being
home with her son (he was born June 9th of last year, how long a
leave is she going to take?). He tells her about losing a "good
friend" of his and she remembers Angela's name. Brandon
orders another beer for himself and Lexie a Chardonnay. She's
feeling more relaxed after her visit with her father and tells
Brandon that Abe won't be joining them at the bar as he doesn't
know where she is. (Gee, all that time away from Abe and Isaac in
Paris, yet she isn't in any rush to get home after Abe took off
time from work to be with her?) Brandon boosts Lexie's ego and
tells her he'll have more time on his hands, hoping she can help
fill some of it. He tells her about how Sami and Austin are now
together again. He brings up Abe and tension hits. They talk
about Abe and Faye and he tells her no one hurts his mom and gets
away with it. She tries to talk him into thinking more about
love, not hate.
At The Penthouse
Belle drags her mom back inside. A repeat of John and Brady
arguing and Brady's threat that John would lose him forever if he
brings Marlena back in his life. After Brady leaves the room,
Marlena if John's all right and he tells her no. They have to fix
this problem with Brady. John tells Marlena that Brady is just a
kid. As he vents about the animosity between his wife and son,
Brady hobbles in on his crutches saying it's not HIS fault and
you don't see Marlena on crutches. He leaves and Belle insists on
going with him, pleading with her mom to find a way to work this
out.
Brady and Belle go to (drum roll) Java Café, their home away
from home. He bad mouths Chloe, Philip and her mom and she
finally asks him why he does that to people she cares about.
Maybe her mom is right and he is the bad guy in the situation.
Cue a startled look on Brady's face. She refuses to listen to him
trash her friends and tells him how happy they were when he got
feeling back in his legs. He claps and says Bravo as she sounds
just like her Mom's psycho babble. Belle knows a lot of this has
to do with his mom's death. He tells Belle how he'll never
forgive Marlena for how she treated him in his youth and then
shipping him off to boarding school. She reminds him it's HER
mother that he's bad mouthing and it hurts her to hear that. He
hobbles off, telling her maybe they should each go their own way
then.
Meanwhile, Back At The Penthouse
John asks Marlena if she has any suggestions how to handle the
situation. Marlena's flat out of them, but asks how can he be
objective. He sees Brady as a boy on crutches who's hurting over
his mother's death and tolerates his rage and anger and his
cruelty to her. John tells her Brady's his flesh and blood and he
can't turn his back on him. Marlena feels Brady's already won
then. She tries to explain to John how Brady likes to remain a
victim and uses everything she says and does as fuel for the fire.
She finally tells him she hit Brady because she loves him (John).
She tells him about the argument she had with Brady in the
hospital and the names Brady called her. She didn't want Brady to
say those things to John as it would hurt him and it happened so
quickly, but she wanted to protect John. She had almost lost him
after the shooting and she was so scared. John has his back
turned as he listens and she asks about his silence. He remembers
a time when Brady came home with some stuff, saying he had stolen
them. He didn't realize Brady was baiting him as he hadn't stolen
them, but admits shoving Brady so hard down the hallway that he
fell down the stairs. She thanks him for sharing that with her,
but still can't believe she hit a child. John finally says that
Brady isn't a child any longer. He's 6'2 and a young man that's
extremely strong, even now. She confesses never being afraid that
Brady would hit her back and John thanks her for telling him that.
John admits that Brady is putting their family through emotional
hell and he's got to put an end to it. He has to let Brady know
that he can't get away with everything. Marlena tells him keeping
the family together is the most important thing. She doesn't want
Brady to think John's taking her side. He admits their children
are a part of him, but that she's his soul and he wants her with
him. She promises to be strong for him and he suggests they be
strong for each other as he pulls her into his arm and hugs her
as the credits roll.

Lexie & Brandon, Fay & Abe, John, Marlena &
Belle discuss relationships, while Chloe realizes at last what is
going on around her and tries in vain to rectify it.
Episode #9012 (Sweetened)
Directed by: Randy Robbins
Tape Date: 2/26/01
Still At The Bar.........
Lexie and Brandon talk about Sami & Austin. Lexie tries to
show Brandon why Sami might be attracted to a straight arrow like
Austin, with no hidden agenda. Whereas with Brandon, one is not
quite sure what is on his mind. They talk about Abe, and
Brandon's hatred towards him. Lexie tries to encourage Brandon to
let his anger go, and tears into him about hanging onto this
obsession for so long. Abe calls, and Lexie leaves, kissing
Brandon on the cheek with a "See ya". Brandon mutters
to himself that with his plan, she is going to be seeing a lot of
him.
At The Salem Place Mall.........
Fay sits on a bench and flashes back to her husband, Paul,
mistreating her, and then him about to beat Brandon with a belt.
(We see his face, and it is hard to believe Fay would have ever
married such mean, nasty looking person, but then Kate married
Curtis, didn't she?) She then flashes back to uniformed cop Abe
bringing her a birthday cupcake, complete with candle to be blown
out. Her eyes tear up as she thinks how she thought her life
would have been so different. She spots Abe talking to a travel
agent (he is making plans to take Lexie on a surprise trip to
Green Mountain Lodge) and purposely "bumps" into him. (It
does seem obvious Fay still has a "thing" for Abe) They
chat and he invites her for a cuppa at the Java Cafe. She talks
about the two of them 25 years ago, and time has gone so fast.
Abe mentions Brady's lawsuit, and then asks about Brandon. He
says he knows Brandon saw them kiss that one time, but they were
always so careful... and met at a motel in a completely different
neighborhood. Fay says the motel is still there, (she happened by
while returning a purse to a customer who had left it at the
diner) and the evergreens have grown so tall, and how pretty it
still is. Abe is still puzzled by Brandon's vendetta, and asks if
Paul ever contacted Brandon, to say he might be suspicious, but
Fay says Brandon never mentioned such a thing. Abe has to leave,
but first calls Lexie to meet him at home.
At The Penthouse.........
John & Marlena share a tender kiss, and discuss the kids. The
door opens and Belle comes in. When John & Marlena ask her
about Brady, she tells them how they went to the Java Cafe, but
Brady just was so negative about all her friends & family.
John reassures her that things are going to change around the
house. Everyone is going to abide by new rules, in which the key
word is "respect". She pleads with Marlena, who says
she has tried to use all her training and experience to no avail,
and now her father is taking over. John says he realizes that he,
himself, has allowed Brady too much leeway, and so he is changing
his attitude. If one cannot talk to another with respect, then
not to talk at all. Belle protests that Brady won't agree, &
mentions a lot of "what ifs", but John says anyone who
doesn't want to live by these conditions has to leave. Belle
looks stricken, as she comments that Brady will probably not
cooperate and feels he would leave.
Outside The Hospital.........
Craig & Nancy are walking Chloe towards the hospital doors.
She still seems dazed, but refuses to go inside. Craig tells her
to wait there, and hustles Nancy inside, telling her Chloe is
still in shock, and he is going to find the rape counselor.
Outside, Chloe flashes back to the stable, Philip & her under
the horseblankets, and Victor appearing. Phillip find her sitting
there, and tries to talk to her. He explains about Victor making
him promise to keep the secret, and that he wanted to tell her.
He tells her how much he cares for her, but she tells him to
leave or she will scream and he will have to leave. As he
protests......she just opens her mouth and begins screaming (Jeez,
to whom do we give the screaming award... Mimi, Lexie, or Chloe?)
He is startled, and runs off when he sees people running out of
the hospital. Inside, Craig, Nancy, the rape counselor and
security guard hear the screams and go barreling outside. The men
take off after Philip, as Nancy gets Chloe inside the hospital.
Craig returns, saying Philip got away. As they start to talk of
having Chloe get an exam....Chloe is appalled and wants to know
why. Says she does not need an exam and just wants to go home. (She
seems to finally be out of her stupor, and realizing just what is
going on). Craig talks her into going with him to his office,
saying he has to explain to Nancy, then locks her in and tells
the security guard to stand guard. Chloe begins pounding on the
door, crying out that Philip never touched her, but Craig and
Nancy are in search of the rape counselor. No one believes
Chloe's denials that Philip is innocent of any wrongdoing. Chloe
opens the window to find a steel screen across the opening. In
the hallway, as the rape counselor tries to rationalize why Chloe
is acting as she is, Nancy's reactions alert Craig. (Looks as tho
Nancy may not have had sex willingly with Chloe's father) He
demands to know the name of Chloe's father NOW, and wants to know
exactly what happened to her that night.
Brady arrives at the hospital after leaving Belle, looking for
Carl to get some additional exercises. Carl says he has to check
some patients and will be with him in about 1/2 hour. Brady
overhears Craig and Nancy telling the rape counselor that it was
Philip Kiriakis who raped their daughter. He figures that cannot
be true, and Chloe has to be lying.
Brady comes upon the cop guarding Craig's office door, hears
Chloe' s cries and pounding on the door. He asks the cop to let
him in there, but the guard says no one is allowed in. He goes
outside to the window and calls Chloe, asking her why she accused
Philip of rape. She denies ever doing any such thing, says he did
not touch her. Brady goes away and comes back with a crowbar (Wow,
isn't it lucky that such a thing is just lying around on the
ground! LOL) and pries the screen off the window.
Chloe is reluctant to climb out, but he says her parents are
coming. She turns her head to see the door handle turning and the
credits roll....

A busy night in Salem as John and Marlena go to
Tuscany's, Chloe's on the run and two couples head to Green
Mountain Lodge
Episode #9013 (Sweetened)
Directed by: Phil Sogard
Tape Date: 2/27/01
Chloe & Philip
Philip calls Belle asking if she's heard from Chloe (does he know
she left the hospital? I thought he left her screaming at the
hospital entrance?) Brady helps Chloe escape from the hospital. (I
think Salem should be nicknamed the horn blowing capital..ever
notice how many horns are blown during the show???) After Chloe
thanks him, he tells her to take off and to himself, plays the
revenge record about getting back at Marlena for crippling him.
Chloe runs off and Philip finds her hiding in an alley (hope he's
thinking about joining the Salem PD, they need him) They see car
lights approach, so she jumps into his car and tells him to shut
up and drive. After bickering about how he lied to her, he tells
her he loves her and that's the truth. She finally gives him 5
minutes to explain what's going on. He tells her about his mom
and the codicil to the will and what his father is doing. Chloe
softens, not knowing if she can trust Philip after he lied to her.
Brady returns home and he and Belle talk about Chloe. He tells
her about helping Chloe escape. He tells Belle that Chloe's evil
parents locked her up in the hospital, just like in a fairy tale.
She asks if this had anything to do with Philip as he called
looking for her. Belle realizes Brady is enjoying her confusion
and goes to call Chloe to find out what's going on.
Craig and Nancy panic, thinking Philip got Chloe. They drive
around looking for her and decide it would be better for them to
go home and wait for news. They talk about the situation and
Chloe. He understands Chloe is young and scared, but she's also
gutsy like her mom. Belle calls them after they get home and
Nancy thought it was the police calling. Craig takes the phone
and tells Belle that they're looking for Chloe and to call if she
hears from her. Belle stares at Brady after hanging up and he
tells her not to look at him like that, HE didn't rape her (Chloe).
He doesn't think Philip did either, but admits not knowing what's
going on.
Green Mountain Lodge, Here We Come
Lexie returns home to find Abe and Celeste on the couch laughing.
Noticing suitcases by the door, Lexie thinks Celeste is moving in.
Abe tells her about his romantic plans for Green Mountain Lodge
for a few days and how Celeste is there to babysit. Lexie freaks,
not wanting to go anywhere without Isaac. Abe goes to pack while
Celeste shares how she gave up so much to be part of Stefano's
life. She compromised her morals and integrity to do so. She's
proud that she was strong enough to give up Lexie as a baby so
she wouldn't be swayed by Stefano's influence. She tries to
comfort Lexie that she won't lose Isaac, but Lexie tells Abe
she's not going anywhere without her son. Abe finally backs down
and tells her they'll take Isaac with them. Lexie is very happy
at that news, excited about the trip now.
Glen and Barb are driving towards Salem. She's made reservations
at Green Mountain Lodge and looking at the trip as a fun one
while Glen's only focus is on finding his son. Thoughts of the
spa, massages and all night romps are all Barb's thinking about.
She reminds him SHE'S paying for the lodge. They check in and the
desk clerk inquires if it's a personal or business trip. Glen
tells him it's personal business. Barb gushes how the place is so
luxurious where they don't even have to carry their own suitcase.
(Don't know how a guy like Glen got involved with a chick like
this!)
Dinner At Tuscany's
John and Marlena dress up and go to Tuscany for dinner to
celebrate his escaping death in Paris. Maggie greets them at the
door and gives them her best table (the one right by the door..gee,
that's what they always tell me when I get the one by the kitchen
door, haha). Maggie welcomes them, happy to see how well John
recovered from being shot and tells them dinner is on the house,
even a special chocolate mousse for dessert. The two hug, kiss
and even dance. He tells her to brace herself for more magic
moments and feels their future is bright. He wants to make sure
Basic Black's hiring practice includes the handicapped after
seeing how Brady's self esteem was lowered in the wheelchair and
she loves the idea.
While John steps away to make a call, Maggie chats with Marlena.
Marlena tells Maggie about the new plan, but Maggie tells her a
leopard never changes his spots. John walks up behind her, asking
if she's talking about him. Maggie responds "if the spots
fit" and walks away. John keeps his
cool, and when Marlena comments that he doesn't like Maggie and
how she's her best friend, tells her Maggie's all right and means
well. He's following the new ground rules and says he meant what
he said about everyone in the family following them, or they're
out of there, including his son. They laugh about how life's not
like The Partridge Family where after an hour show, some family
member would learn their lesson (was waiting for them to refer to
The Brady Bunch, LOL!).
Brady's Fireside Chat
Bo and Hope are hope alone with JT. He asks if Shawn is on a date
and she fills him in that kids don't "date" anymore,
they "hang". They talk about the situation with Lexie
and the possibility of the woman being identified as Marlo and
maybe Isaac's birth mother. Bo feels they should tell Abe about
the call identifying Marlo, but Hope convinces him to wait until
after they return home from their vacation. Her heart goes out to
Lexie as she and Bo watch their son sleeping in his swing,
grateful they aren"t having to worry about losing him as the
credits roll.

Show #: 9014 (sweetened)
Director: Herb Stein
Tape Date: 2/23/01
An Evil Plan Is Hatched
Victor and Nicole are at Gene Briscoe's cabin (at least, that's
where I THINK they are) and she is ready to celebrate. She has an
idea to get back at Kate. She has a bottle of sedatives (that the
doctor gave her during her cancer scare). She wants to drug Kate
and scare her good via Victor's "ghost". Victor thinks
they may be taking things too far, but she encourages him and
asks if he doesn't want to see Kate crash and burn. He finally
caves and says maybe it IS time for Kate to pay the piper.
Mother & Son
Lucas is still moping around the mansion, mourning the loss of
Will (as he fixes himself a drink). Kate tries to talk to him,
but he is really bitter with her and blames her for his troubles.
She wants him to stay sober and is convinced that Sami will
realize that Will needs Lucas and will turn to him. Lucas thinks
she is wrong and tells her that she can't help him, reminding her
that she has lost Philip as well. She tells Lucas to never give
up. From Lucas' talk, she thinks he is planning to kidnap Will
and refuses to help him. They continue to argue and Lucas says
that his life is worthless without his son, not even sure he
wants to live. She is worried that he is contemplating something
drastic, but he assures her that he isn't exactly ready to "check
out" just yet. She tries to get him to look at the bright
side, reminding him that they are in charge of Titan and he can
personally throw Nicole out if he wants to. He assures her that
firing Nicole won't make him feel better, Will is more important
to him than that. He still wants to grab Will and run, but she
reminds him that Sami will never give up. If he takes off, she
will play that tape for the world. Kate is finally exasperated
and gives up, leaving the room. Putting down his drink, Lucas
decides that she is right, he must stay sober and focused, but
not for the reasons Kate stated.
Sami Pulls A Fast One
Geez, she has Will all of what 30 minutes and she's back to her
old tricks? She looks in on Will and is happy to have him back,
but is stewing in her juices over Austin and Greta. She sneaks
out in the hallway to eavesdrop at Austin's door. (At the door,
she makes the comment that Greta has a "butter wouldn't melt"
voice). Inside, Greta thanks Austin for all his help as they look
over the plans. He decides he is hungry and decides to make some
popcorn. As she is helping him, the get really close in his small
kitchen and she thinks back to the time he kissed her. (LOL, Sami
now has a glass up to the door so she can hear better). She hears
all she needs and storms back to her apartment, muttering about
and mocking Greta. She gets an idea and goes in and rousts Will
from his sleep (how mean) and drags him into the living room. She
says something about helping him sleep (LOL, he says I WAS
sleeping). Sami changes into a sexy red nightgown and sprays
herself all over with perfume. She says that Austin won't be able
to resist Will. Austin and Greta continue to goof around (as he
tries to teach her to toss up popcorn and catch it with her mouth).
He tilts her head back and they almost kiss, just as Sami starts
banging on the door. Austin says it must be Sami and Greta cracks
"Well, it sure isn't the Avon Lady" (I seem to like her
more and more, Sami may regret sharing her blood with her). Sami
tells Austin that Will is upset and can't sleep (as Greta rolls
her eyes) and Austin agrees to help. He tells Greta goodnight and
hopes she understands. Later, Austin is reading Will a story and
he falls back to sleep. As he goes to put him to bed, Will calls
out for "daddy". Austin goes to leave, but Sami
persuades him to stay a while. They talk about Lucas and Kate and
Austin says that Will belongs with Sami. She tells him that she
has everything that she wants and all her dreams are coming true.
She leans in and kisses him, then asks him to make love to her.
After she leaves, Greta is strolling through Salem Place mumbling
to herself about Sami. Jack (who is mumbling about Jennifer) runs
(literally) into her, both of them spilling their drinks. (Jack
is on his way over to see Abby - see below). They discuss their
respective problems as they sit on the bench. A photographer
snaps their photo for the paper. Jack tells Greta that he used to
be a reporter himself. She can't believe him, but he tells her
that he was the Michael Jordan of journalism. After chatting a
bit, he rushes off to "chez Horton". After he leaves,
she puts 2 and 2 together and figures out that his ex must be
Jennifer Horton.
Jennifer Caves In
Jennifer walks downstairs to find Abby by the phone begging for
her daddy to call. The phone rings and it IS Jack. He jokes
around with her and Jenn listens from the stairway. Abby asks him
if they are going to be a family again. She begs him to stay in
Salem and tells her that he wants to be a family too. He asks to
talk to her mother and Abby tells him to come over right now, she
wants to see him. Jenn gets on the phone and they bicker as Abby
leaves the room (but listens from the hallway). Jennifer finally
gives in and tells him to come over in a hour. As Jenn
straightens up the living room, Abby comes in and asks her mom if
she is mad at daddy. She also asks her if they are going to get
married again. Jenn tries to talk her way out of it, but Abby is
persistent and practically begs her. Jenn tells her not to get
her hopes up, but on the way upstairs, Abby stops and says a
little prayer for God to help her get her mom and dad back
together.
Philip Gets Caught
Craig and Nancy are still hanging around the house waiting for
Chloe. Nancy is hysterical and thinks that Philip has kidnapped
her. They take off to find them. Meanwhile, Philip is still
trying to explain things to Chloe in the car. All he knows is
that he loves her and needs. She seems to soften a bit but is
still mad at him for lying to her. He keeps apologizing but she
feels humiliated at getting caught by Victor. Finally, she says
that she understands, but doesn't necessarily forgive him. She
realizes that he doesn't know the entire story and when she tells
him about the rape issue, he is furious with her for playing
along. He just can't believe that she was that mad at him. She
goes on to tell him about Craig locking her up and her escaping (but
she doesn't tell him who helped her). They arrive at the house
and she asks him in. They continue to talk and he goes to hug her
and she pushes him away. Meanwhile, Craig and Nancy have arrived
back at home and Nancy is on the cell phone calling to the
mansion. She gets Kate on the phone and lights into her. She
tells her that Philip raped Chloe and that he is going to pay.
Kate is shell-shocked at this news. Craig goes on inside to find
Chloe pushing Philip away and assumes the worst. He grabs Philip
and starts yanking him around, then punching him in the gut.
Chloe rushes over trying to break it up, yelling for Craig to
stop, and the credits roll.
