Lexie is shaking her DiMera Boots!...John sees Marlena
and Roman in what HE thinks is a compromising position.
Episode #8965
Directed by Randy J. Robbins
Tape Date: 12/09/00
Little DiMera Shaking In Her Boots
Abe and Lexie are at home as he reads the paper. The headlines
are screaming about the body found in the ice. She acts really
odd about all of it and Abe is puzzled by her behavior. Lexie
rushes of, not telling Abe where she is going (she says to run
errands, but we ALL know she is going to see Daddy Dearest!)
Meanwhile, Stefano is at the mansion playing with some stupid
board game (not sure what it is, maybe Stratego?) when Aliana
comes in with the paper, but he doesn't want to be bothered with
happenings in Salem and runs her off (so HE doesn't know about
the body). Lexie shows up and wants to see him privately. They go
into the study and she is furious with him. She demands to know
what happened to Marlo. He is in the dark, so she tells him about
the body as she cries hysterically and shows him the paper. She
is mad that she followed his advice and that she should have
followed her own instincts and went to the cops in the first
place. She is terrified that she will end up losing Isaac.
Stefano blurts out that Isaac isn't Marlo's child. He covers to a
stunned Lexie by saying that Isaac is HER child. He tells her not
to worry, he will take care of everything (famous last words,
huh?) After finding out all the details, he promises to help her
under one condition, she finally gives in and admits that she is
a true DiMera. She promises to make him a part of her and Isaac's
lives and hugs and thanks him. (Well, I guess it's offical, the
character of Lexie has now been officially destroyed). After she
leaves, Stefano yells down to the basement for Rolf, telling him
they have a body to steal. After Lexie leaves, Abe goes to visit
Brandon. Before Abe shows up, Brandon is on the phone with
Angela, telling her to stay in Italy with her father . He will
join her later and they will get married. Abe wants to talk with
Brandon, but Brandon is extremely rude to him, calling him a kid
killer or something equally mean. They argue over Abe's
relationship with Fay as Abe tries to explain that he was only
trying to protect their family. Brandon accuses them of having an
affair and goes on about how Abe destroyed their lives and broke
his mother's heart. Abe tells him it is a lie and Brandon tries
to choke him. Abe gets him by the arm and twists him down to his
knees and yells at him to stay off his back. After he storms out,
Brandon has flashbacks of his dad beating him, then thanks Abe
for giving him the ammunition he needed.
The Teen Scene
Belle and Chloe are at school headed for class as Shawn pumps
Philip as to what he gave Chloe for Christmas. He asks if he gave
her a ring. (Hey, she only got a poem, but it looks as if she is
the ONLY one in Salem to get a gift!) Mimi and Jan are discussing
their plan as Jason shows up and teases Jan with a stuffed mouse
(LOL!) They all head to class as Shawn sits by Belle and Philip
by Chloe. Jan, Mimi and Jason watch them from the door. Mimi is
scared of Chloe and wants to call off the plan, but Jan is
determined. She comments on how Nancy must be a witch as well, as
Mimi defends Nancy. She drags Mimi into class as she chants ìwitch,
witch, Shawn and Belle both yell for her to shut up. The two
young couples are day dreaming, with Belle thinking about she and
Shawn skating as Chloe remembers the poem. The teacher calls on
Chloe to answer a question, which embarrasses her. Jan giggles
and the teacher scolds her (we learn her last name is Spears...
hmmmm... any relation?) After class, Philip and Chloe talk as
Shawn refers to them as Romeo and Juliet to Belle. Jan and Mimi
rush off to check on the camera as Mimi is still trying to talk
her out of the plan. Shawn asks Belle about Brady, but she
brushes him off. Jason comes by and tells Belle that if Philip
ever dumps Chloe, Shawn would surely go after her.
Roman Offers Marlena A Shoulder To Cry On
Roman and Marlena are at the Java Café. Roman is offering her
his support and reassuring her that all isn't her fault. But she
blames herself for all the troubles and doesn't feel worthy of
anyones support. They talk about Brady's hatred of her and she
says that she doesn't really blame him for the way he feels (excuse
me, but he hated you BEFORE he got hurt, so you have EVERY right
to blame him!) Marlena can't understand how Roman can be so
supportive after the way she hurt him years ago. She tells him
that she knows that he still has feelings for her. He tells her
his feelings are of friendship and he wants her to fight for her
life and marriage. He assures her that he just wants to help. She
tells him that she needs a friend right now. She considers him a
friend and that is all they can be. He accepts that relationship
as he holds her hand.
Jen & John Swap Stories
Jen is sitting outside on the bench near the stairs (where they
shoot a lot of scenes) and John comes by and offers her hot
chocolate. Seeing she is troubled, asks how she is. She starts to
talk about her situation with Jack but stops. She turns the
question and asks about he and Marlena. He doesn't want to talk
either. He promises if she will...so will he. He tells her some
of his problems (especially between Marlena and Brady). Jen can't
understand the problem, but he tells her that there is more, but
he can't go into it. She offers encouragement and support. Then
she talks and you can tell that she still has feelings for Jack.
John wants to know what he did to hurt her, but she says that she
can't talk about it right now. She thanks John for being a friend
as he encourages her to stay in Salem amongst family and friends.
They talk about how excited Alice is to have her and Abby there.
John offers to buy her a coffee and she accepts. As they walk,
John talks about Roman's involvement in his problems and how he
thinks he is still in love with Marlena. As they turn the corner,
they see Roman and Marlena at Java Café and John gets upset. Jen
tells him that things are not always as they appear, but, he says
sometimes they are. He tells Jen that he told Roman to stay away
from his wife. Jen tries to stop him as he storms over to their
table, and the credits roll.

Episode #8966

Tape Date: 12/07/00
PGII (Princess Greta)
Walking into the restaurant in France, Princess Greta (and Austin)
are welcomed with whispers and applause as everyone recognizes
her. She feels bad that he didn't get anything out of their
adventure like she did. Greta is too self conscious to eat as
everyone is staring at her, but it doesn't stop Austin who's
happy to have real, not virual food. He offers to take her out on
the balcony for a breath of fresh air. We learn that he tried
calling Billie to see her, but she's away on business. Cue the
fireworks and music as Greta watches excitedly. Austin watches
her and asks if she recognizes the music. Gee, it's the Von
Amberg family anthem she replies. It was playing as they left the
castle. She realizes the music and fireworks are in her honor. He
asks for a dance and she agrees. He tells her that if he were a
prince, he would be looking for a princess just like her.
Salem
Back in Salem, Sami is doing some power shopping at Salem Place (she
hasn't worked since returning from Italy, she must be maxing the
plastic!) Brandon, Java Café's favorite customer, sips his mocha
remembering his fight with Abe, when he walks into Sami. He tells
her about what happened with Abe and how he threw Abe out. She
asks if he wants some coffee so they can talk about it (hello,
he's drinking coffee already Sami). He suggests she go home and
get dressed up and they'll go out and relax and refers to it as a
date. Later she meets him at The Blue Note wearing a long low cut
sleeveless black dress (how many of these numbers do YOU have in
your closet?) hoping he's not going to propose to her again. He
tells her no, but figures she must be having doubts about her
relationship with Austin. (note, Jen and Roman are still sippin
coffee in the daylight in the next scene) We come back from Paris
where Austin and Greta are dancing to find Sami and Brandon
dancing. She tells him her future is with Austin and Will and
apologizes if that hurts him. His cell phone rings and it's
Angela calling from Italy. She tells him she's ready to marry
him, right now! (Hard to believe she's even flown home to Italy
already) She asks when he (and Sami, her bridesmaid) can be there
and he assures her they'll be on the next plane (fire up that
plastic again! and don't worry about trying to take time off of
work, right?) Sami and Brandon rush out to get ready to fly off
to Italy.
As John watches Marlena and Roman holding hands at Java Café (hmm,
maybe Brandon's not Java Café's best customer), Jen tries to
hold John back. Roman agrees with Marlena that they should keep
their distance from each other for a while so that she can mend
her relationship with John. As she hugs him in appreciation, John
launches in and tells Roman that he thought he told him to stay
away from his wife. He has his fist raised and ready to punch
Roman when he changes his mind and turns aside. Marlena and
Jennifer talk Roman into walking away from it. Marlena and John
get into it and the subject turns to Brady. John can only tell
her Brady will recover and how much he (John) wants her home with
him, Belle and Brady, now and forever. He holds her face as he
tells her this. Staying away from Brady isn't going to make this
go away. He asks her to trust him and come home with him. She
agrees and he hugs her.
Jen and Roman go to Java Café (where else?) for a cup of coffee.
She refuses to talk about her problems and suggests Roman give up
on Marlena. He admits asking himself that all the time, and
suspects she and Jack have the same question going on. He's glad
to hear it sounds like she's decided to stay in Salem. He excuses
himself to make some calls and she tells him he's a good man. Jen
checks her hair in the window at Salem Place, but reminds herself
why bother. The last thing she needs is another man in her life.
DotCom
Shawn teases Philip about how hung up he is on Chloe. They talk
about opera and Philip hates it, but can't tell Chloe that. Shawn
teasingly asks if Philip's in love with Chloe and Philip admits
he is. Shawn tells him he's out of his mind and that he's
finished. Shawn tells him that telling a girl he loves her is the
ultimate mistake. He's too young to commit to just one person.
Philip reminds Shawn's about his parents and Shawn tells him that
even they'll admit they were too young and how Bo went off to the
merchant marines. Now they're older. Shawn warns Philip about
using words like love will just mess up his life.
Back At The Penthouse
Brady is getting some PT in the penthouse and the therapist asks
Brady how his laryngitis is. Brady croaks that it's better. Brady
asks the therapist if he'll be able to resume normal activities.
The therapist tells him with some hard work, he could be back on
his feet in six months.
Chloe pushes the emergency stop button in the elevator she's
riding in with Belle up to the penthouse. She tells Belle she
just wanted to see what would happen. Belle mentions she hopes
the war between Chloe, Mimi and Jan is over. Chloe tears into
Belle, saying she just doesn't like things out of the ordinary
and that her life is just a Brittany Spears music video of fun
and hair make overs. Belle fires back that if Chloe wasn't so
sorry for herself she would realize that other people's lives
aren't perfect either. On cue we hear Brady wailing in pain (guess
that laryingitis is getting better ;-) when Belle tears into the
apartment to find out what's going on. Both guys assure her
everything's okay. The therapist leaves and Brady vents about
Chloe being there and wheels off, only to fall out of his
wheelchair. He refuses help back into his chair and manages to
get in the chair by himself. Chloe and Brady start fighting (must
be an upcoming romance here) about music. Belle gives up on them
and goes upstairs to do her homework. She calls Shawn on his cell
and finds out that Shawn and Philip are at dotCom. She hopes no
more bets are being made and he assures her not. He overhears
Chloe and Brady fighting and Belle tells him she gave up trying
to mediate. She holds the phone out for him to listen in. Phil's
ears pick up as he hears Chloe is fighting with Brady. He gets
concerned if Chloe's okay and when Shawn asks Belle that, she
tells him no problem. She figures Chloe is good for Brady.
Downstairs Chloe and Brady argue about opera singers. The two end
up laughing. Shawn asks Belle if they're still duking it out
downstairs after talking about their homework and she tells him
they're now laughing and it's hard to figure them out. Philip
asks Shawn about Chloe and Brady, but Shawn just answers it's
hard to figure them out. Philip figures maybe he better (figure
them out).
John and Marlena return to the penthouse. He kisses her and says
it's the best thing that's happened to him all year. They hear
Brady (and Chloe) laughing inside and hope that's a good sign. As
they walk in, Brady spots Marlena and asks what the hell she's
doing there as the credits roll.

Another slow show as international flights begin to carry
off various Salemites, and Lexie is beginning to panic.
Episode #8967
Directed by: Phil Sogard
Tape Date: 12/08/00
At Alice's Doughnut Factory (LOL)......
Gran is telling Jen how happy she is to have her there, and how
much she missed her. But, she says something seems to be
troubling her, and Jen says she was just reading news in the
paper. Jen goes to the kitchen for a doughnut fix, and Alice
spots a circled ad "apartment for rent". Jen comes back
out and Alice starts telling her it is time she and Abby found a
place of their own. Jen begins to protest, but realizes Gran saw
the ad and was just making it easy for her. Hope calls, inviting
Jen over to Lexie's, and Jen agrees to come. She tells Gran she
wants to check on Abby at school, since it is her first day, and
they have a wonderful heart to heart chat. Alice says Abby is
dying to see her own father and what is Jen going to do about it.
Jen says she cannot do anything, she hoped she & Jack could
work it out this time, but "Fool me once, shame on you.....fool
me twice, shame on ME". She talks about going to Ireland to
make a new start, then Bo came and she returned to Salem, so this
is where she will try. They hug.
Ciao, Bambinos..........
Brandon and Sami are toasting each other aboard the flight to
Italy. They make nice-nice with each other, discuss Angela,
Austin and Brandon's anger towards Abe. (We have heard all this
dialogue before - nothing new here). Brandon gets mad at
reference to Abe, and Sami says "see what I mean", then
talks about how her own anger towards Carrie almost destroyed
family relationships. (Wonder if Sami said BYE to her beloved
Will!) Brandon claims he tries to protect his family, and protect
her in the same way. Sami begins to say how much she cares about
Brandon, but he tells her to cut out all the mixed signals she
send out. Flight attendant announces they will be landing (another
super fast overseas flight) and to fasten seat belts. Brandon
calls Angela, says they are landing and he will see her soon. She
starts to tell him something, but abruptly says she will tell him
when he gets there.
Over At The Kiriakis Mansion..........
Victor is confirming reservations to Mexico on the phone (what
happened to his jet?), and Kate comes in. She butters him up with
lots of compliments and talks of love. Our eavesdropping vixen,
Nicole, wisecracks to herself "Love? Fear of being poor and
out in the gutter is more like it". Kate bids Victor a fond
farewell and he leaves. She immediately calls Maroni, to find he
has checked out. She calls Italy and scolds him for leaving
without saying good-bye. She proceeds to flirt like mad, talks
about the tape and how she would reward him for it. She tells
Maroni she will be out on the next plane. (Amazing how these
folks can get last minute overseas flights so easily...but then
the planes are always nearly empty....lol) She packs her bags and
yells for Henderson to bring them down.
In Italy.........
Angela joins Maroni as he hangs up on Kate. He starts to leave,
saying he is going to listen to the tape. Angela stops him,
claiming she is tired of hearing about the tape all the time.
Maroni says o.k., he will wait for Kate to listen to it, and see
what she will do to get it. Brandon calls Angela, and she is
about to tell him that her papa wants to hear the tape, when
Maroni walks in, so she tells Brandon she will see him soon and
quickly hangs up.
Victor's Limo
In Victor's limo awaits who else, Nicole. She puts the moves on
Victor right away, and they talk a bit. She asks him if he knows
what Kate's doing, and then begins kissing him. He wants to know
what she meant about Kate, and Nicole promises to tell him all
later. Victor talks of Philip, and how he would be affected by an
alliance between Victor and Nicole, She assures him that she and
Philip have grown close the last few months and it would be no
problem. More kissing and Nicole fantasizes about being Mrs.
Kiriakis in the limo with Kate as the chaffeur, and Victor
berating Kate as he gifts Nicole with diamond necklace. Victor
starts to call to reserve a room for Nicole in Mexico, but she
has already done so. She pours them brandy, and toasts "to
my divorce" and thinks about becoming Mrs. K, and then
dumping Victor.
And At The Carver's.........
Lexie is playing with Isaac, and has flashback to her screaming
fit when she first sees the body in the canal. Loud knocking on
the door reveals Hope with JT. Hope is dying to talk about her
honeymoon, and calls Jen to join them. But Hope cannot contain
herself, and excitedly tells Lexie how romantic it was, and how
wonderful Bo has been, especially ever since he accepted JT as
his son. (OOPS!) Lexie questions her about this, Hope makes
excuses, but Lexie is not buying it. The subject of the body
arises, and they discuss various scenarios....accident, murder,
etc. Hope tells her that Bo is confident forensics will tell them
what they want to know. You can see the panic arising in Lexie,
as she abruptly leaves (her own house!!) and asks Hope to take
care of Isaac. Outside, she says something absolutely has to be
done and takes off. Inside Hope has Isaac on her lap and is
playing with him, telling him how lucky his parents are to have
him and how perfect he is... fade out.

THURSDAY, JANUARY 11, 2001**
All Salem today. The commissioner chews out Roman and
Marlena and Brady have a short talk.
Episode #8968
Directed by: Randy Robbins
Tape Date: 12/11/00
The Penthouse
After John and Marlena return home to Brady's warm reception,
Belle runs downstairs and hugs Marlena. John quietly reminds
Brady that Belle needs her mother and to give Marlena a chance.
Belle and Chloe go upstairs and John suggests that the 3 of them
talk. He gives Marlena a kiss and tells her that she's his wife
and he loves her, points at Brady and tells him that he's his son
and he loves him. Stakes and emotions are high, but there's a lot
invested here. The fact is, they're family and need to solve this
problem. He asks who wants to talk next and asks Marlena if she'd
like to go first. Desire is 99% to achieving a goal and he thinks
they're at that point now. Marlena finally talks and explains she
doesn't want it to sound like she's making excuses. She figures
saying she's sorry would probably be more for her own benefit,
not his and maybe the anger inside him would help him get back on
his feet. She can understand his anger, but the first step to
emotional healing is to know that she wants the best for him and
that's what she's always wanted.
Brady knows she'd like him out of the house, but (as he looks
down at his legs) he can't. She remembers they're reading
Charlotte's Web together when he was younger and how it upset him.
She refers to the book about spider's silk being stronger than
people think and so is their family. She'll do anything it takes
to help him. Brady asks anything? and if John will leave them
alone for a minute (don't go John!) She suggests they go to
counseling together, but he figures they're all her friends and
partial already. Marlena asks John to leave them alone and he
reluctantly agrees. Alone the two stay civil for a minute or two
and get into it. He vents about her telling John what he said at
the elevator and reminds her that he loves his sister and notes
she didn't thank him for saving Belle's life. She tells him all
she wants to do is work things out, but he figures all she wants
to do is make nice so she can sleep with his father again. He
calmly tells her that her whole life and marriage is a lie. He
loves his dad and sister and wants them happy, but what she did,
she did to herself. Everyone will eventually know who she really
is. She gets up and he tells her to go upstairs and tell his dad
how emotionally abusive he was. He thinks to himself that she
taught him something, emotional warfare is best.
John impatiently waits in their bedroom and picks up the phone.
He calls to check on JT (see below). Chloe and Belle go to
Belle's room to study, both knowing they can't. They talk about
the situation downstairs. Chloe tells Belle she's really smart,
so why is she the only person in Salem who doesn't see Brady for
what he really is? Belle explains kids at school say the same
thing about her (Chloe). She's seen Chloe's good side just like
she's seen Brady's. Chloe mentions Brady had mentioned surfing in
Malibu, but guesses that's on hold now. Chloe tells Belle she
doesn't care to know Brady any more than she already does.
The Morgue
Rolf and Bart slip into the morgue by pretending Rolf is wheeling
a body (Bart) into it. (Bart's worried they'll accidentally slip
him into one of the cold compartments.) Another worker in the
morgue gets suspicious after seeing Rolf talk to the body and
then Bart's moving around. The attendant is worried the corpse is
still alive and almost buried someone alive once and not taking
any chances. Bart holds his breath and looks dead, but his foot
is warm when the attendant tickles it (Rolf covers Bart's
laughing by covering Bart's mouth and laughing himself). The
attendant worries that Bart's foot still feels warm. Rolf feels
the attendant's forehead and says he feels warm and may have a
fever and disses him to get a sweater. They pull out drawers (Bart
complains it smells like bad sushi, but hasn't liked fish since
their last expedition (at the lake). They find Marlo and Rolf
orders Bart to lie on the bottom shelf of the cart and he lies
Marlo on top of him so he can wheel out an empty cart (ewww). She
must have been very light (and a lot shorter) the way Rolf's
holding onto her. After adjusting the cloth cover over the cart,
the now sweater clad attendant returns for a signature.
Cop Shop
Lexie arrives to see Abe and Roman tells her that the
Commissioner is there with him. Abe and the Commissioner come out
from his office and tell her that Abe is back on the job and
Commander again. Roman tells them he knew the slate would be
wiped clean and the Commissioner tells him the investigation is
still ongoing and Roman gets defensive, figuring it's due to
John's money and influence. Abe asks to be included in the
discussion between Roman and the Commissioner. The Commissioner
is chewing out Roman for conducting such an intensive manhunt for
Brady and mentions he forgot to put in his report that he's the
step son of his ex-wife. The Commissioner gets upset at Roman for
not telling him about the situation and he would have been
removed from the case had he known. Concerned about a lawsuit,
the Commissioner explains to Roman (love Roman's expression while
he explains it..a MikeR Spoiler Companion must-see picture
tomorrow!) that this young man was portrayed in the media as an
armed and dangerous person, yet all he did was step in front of a
moving train to save his sister's life. The Commissioner orders a
strict NO COMMENT order about this case to anyone, including the
media, friends and family and especially John Black's wife, to
Roman. He wants a tight ship in the department to avoid any more
media attention.
Lexie goes into Abe's office as soon as the Commissioner leaves.
Roman explains he's on the hotseat now and Abe comments that was
more than even she should know. Abe's gotta work late on budget
cuts and she suggests they drop the Jane Doe investigation then.
She claims no one's looking for the body and if they release it's
a murder investigation that Bo & Hope's backyard will be like
Bundy Drive and not a pleasant way to remember their honeymoon.
Abe comments if they bring in the forensic artist it's an extra $20-30,000
(WOW). Abe and Roman agree to back burner it to save money and
also grief to Bo and Hope. Abe may be home for dinner now that
he's saved all that money. Lexie freaks while leaving the office,
knowing she's become a DiMera.
The Honeymoon Continues
Hope returns home with JT and gasps as she opens the door. Bo is
in black pj's and has candles lit around the living room (yeah,
that happens to me all the time, haha). He explains they are
still on their honeymoon (he's still off work and she's shopping
and visiting girlfriends?). She shows him her NEW shoes (he
replies MORE shoes, LOL). JT fusses, so she rushes up to change
him. She comes down in a satin negligee and he tells her it's
prettier now than in the store when he bought it. They toast (sparkling
cider again?) and kiss as he tells her he did the laundry and
emptied the dishwasher, LOL! She sounds like if he cleaned the
bathroom she would follow him anywhere, but the phone rings. He
can't stand it ringing and they kiss their way to it, haha. It's
Shawn. Hope won't stop kissing Bo as he has to move the phone
from one ear to the other. Shawn asks if he can stay somewhere a
little longer and Bo tells him no problem as he hangs up and
carries Hope to the couch.
Later Hope runs out back and Bo follows. Everything's perfect for
them, but she'd like the mystery of the woman found in their
"cozy little backyard" during their backyard solved. Bo
just wants to get back to the "business of the day"
LOL, and on cue, the phone rings. (John?) He wants to ignore it
this time, but she tells him it might be Shawn. Nope, it's John.
He tells Bo that he knows Hope took JT to the Dr. today and wants
to know how it went. Bo chews into John about how they didn't
report back to him on that and John explains he was just giving
them the space they requested. Bo tells him JT is okay and hangs
up as Hope comes inside. They talk about John's being so
concerned about JT. Bo explains he's trying to make up for lost
time even though JT isn't really his son. She tells him to never
say that again and he agrees and hugs her.
After hanging up, John knows he's responsible for a good part of
what for Brady is going through downstairs, but will be there for
his other son! As the credits roll.

FRIDAY, JANUARY 12, 2001**
Argue, argue, argue! Brandon, Sami and Angela argue over
the tape (nothing new); John and Marlena argue over Brady (no
surprise); As Brady, Chloe, Belle and Philip play a game of
"Tag-Team Arguing!" Hmmm...could it be something in the
water?
Episode #8969

Tape Date: Various
Planning The Coronation
Austin and Greta have returned to the castle and are joined by
Charles. Needless to say, they aren't too happy to see him.
Ingrid informs Greta that it is up to her to decide Charles' fate.
He pleads his case and promises to be a humble, faithful,
obedient servant to her. But Greta has no faith in him. She
promises him his pension, but from this day forward, he is
banished from the castle and Ingrid leads him away. Austin tells
Greta that he is proud of her and how she has taken charge of her
life. Greta asks him about Sami and he admits that maybe he was
hard on her earlier on the phone. Ingrid returns to confirm plans
for the coronation celebration. She gives Greta a list of
invitees. It includes basically anyone/everyone who is either
rich, famous or royalty. Looking over the list, she sees Victor
Kiriakis' name. After looking some more, she also sees the name
of Vincent Moroni. Austin recognizes the name as the guy that
Franco worked for. Austin asks Greta if it would be okay for him
to invite Sami. Greta stumbles around that question, until Austin
realizes that Greta wants him to be her escort. He obliges and
says that Sami probably wouldn't want to come anyway.
The Quest For The Tape
Sami and Angela arrive at the Moroni's to find Angela planning
the wedding. Angels slobbers all over Brandon as Sami watches on
with green tinted eyes. Sami asks her about the tape and Angela
promises them that she does have it. Angela prattles on and on
about the wedding. Looking for an out, Sami offers to get the
door when the doorbell rings. She flings open the door to find
Kate standing there. Kate storms past Sami as Vincent welcomes
her to his home. Brandon demands that Angela tell him what is
going on and she promises to tell him later. Angela suggests that
she, Brandon and Sami leave and to to some restaurant. While
there, she tells them that Kate is there to try and get the tape.
Sami asks how she even knows about the tape. Angela fills them in
about the switch and Sami is afraid that they will listen to it
and realize that they have been duped. Angela tells Sami to leave
so she can have time alone with her Brandon. Sami demands the
tape or else. She storms out of the restaurant wondering how Kate
plans to get the tape from Moroni. Angela promises Brandon that
if Sami keeps pushing her, she will destroy the tape herself.
Brandon makes her promise to keep her word to Sami. Meanwhile,
Kate and Vincent talk about the tape and Vincent wants to know
what he gets in return. Kate turns on the flirt machine and
promises him that he will also get that territory that he wants
so badly. He points out that she is not in control of Victor's
estate, so she whips out the codicil and shows it to him. He
realizes that this document is only in effect if Victor is dead.
So she subtly asks him for his help to remedy the situation. They
discuss what would happen if Victor met with an "accident".
Vincent declares that Kate is the kind of woman to kill for. As
they kiss, the camera pans back to show Sami watching through the
window, smiling like the Cheshire cat.
The Brady Factor
Philip is in the car on his way to the penthouse, upset and
curious as to why Chloe and Brady have been fighting. We are
treated to the scene in the penthouse living room, where Marlena
gets upset and rushes up the stairs. Meanwhile, Chloe and Belle
are in Belle's room. Belle chatters on about such senseless stuff
as cheerleading and Chloe could care less. (Quite frankly, so do
I). Chloe is more interested in hanging near the door trying to
eavesdrop as to what is going on downstairs with Marlena and
Brady. She comments that it is really quiet down there. They talk
about the relationship between Brady and Marlena and Chloe wants
to go and snoop as they go downstairs. (Actually, they should
have heard/seen John and Marlena in the upstairs hallway). No one
is downstairs and they start talking about the opera Carmen.
Belle asks Chloe to sing a few bars and when she does, Brady
wheels in and starts criticizing her again. They start to argue,
just as Philip arrives. Chloe gets insulted and storms off with
Philip right on her heels. As he leaves, Brady rags him. After
they are gone, Belle lights in to Brady about being so cruel to
her friends. As they argue, she defends Chloe and Philip.
Finally, she apologizes for being so rough and he shows her his
progress by standing. She asks how it went with her mom and he
tells her that Marlena doesn't trust him. They talk about Chloe
again and Belle accuses him of being interested in her. He claims
that he detests her and has NO interest in her. He tells Belle to
just keep her away. In the car, Chloe thanks Philip for driving
her home, but he is upset. He demands to know why she was even
there. She declares that she hates Brady and he demands to now
what is going on. Finally he pulls over and apologizes and admits
that he is jealous. Chloe is touched and thinks it is so sweet
that he cares that much as they kiss
More Of The Brady Factor
After Brady crawls all over Marlena, she stares at him blankly
and then heads upstairs. John meets her in the hallway as she
tells him that Brady is sadistic and only wants her to suffer.
Downstairs, Brady says that he has her right where he wants her
and is pleased with himself. Marlena tells John that she can't
stay there and they argue (again) over Brady. John (of course)
jumps to Brady's defense, saying that if Marlena disowns Brady,
then she is in fact, disowning him as well. She walks off and
John follows her to the bedroom as he turns it all around and
blames Marlena. (If I haven't said it lately, what an ass!) He
demands to know exactly what Brady said, but Marlena refuses to
play Brady's game. She says that John wouldn't believe her anyway
and would end up blaming her. She tells him that she doesn't feel
safe there. John (jokingly) asks if Brady threatened to kill her.
She says that Brady sees her as his nemesis and an obstacle in
his way. John tells her to take control, but she says that she
can't, because she isn't even sure who she is anymore. She has
tried to diagnose herself, but can't even help herself. John hugs
her and reassures her that she is strong and asks why she lets
things get to her. She admits that she is in some kind of
depression and it has taken over her life. He tells her that he
can help, but she must stay there with him. He promises her that
her family can help her overcome this crisis. As he hugs her, the
tears flow freely from Marlena and the credits roll.
