Looks like this is "Couples Day" in Salem, as
we see John/Marlena; Bo/Hope; Abe/Lexie; Sami/Brandon all have
heart-to-heart chats. If you like the one-on-one discussions, you
must see this one. WAY too much going on for me to catch it all.
Oh, and yea (how could I forget?) the Garden of Eden storyline
takes yet another turn towards the absurd. I STILL give this
episode 3 stars - mainly on the strength of J&M's discussion
and DESPITE Austin (the gladiator).
Episode #8948
Directed by Herb Stein
Tape Date: 11/8/00
Greta & Austin
In the garden, the monster (the one who ate the little rabbit)
comes after Austin, Greta tosses him a light saber and Austin
kills him. Charles appears (well, his head anyway) and asks them
if they have had enough yet. He tells them that he believes that
they want the money for themselves and don't care about the
orphans. For them to get the money, one of them will have to make
the ultimate sacrifice and something about dying on the Altar of
Avarice and Selfishness. He says no matter what they say, they
are human, and humans are greedy. They stand up to him, denying
his claims. He asks which one will give their life. He tells them
it's tough to be a martyr and the final test will include tests
of virtue, faithfulness, obedience, loyalty and the capacity to
love. Greta lights into him but he just asks who will go first.
Both of them volunteer and then argue over it. Austin pleads his
case to her and wants to do this for her because she is the most
caring person he has ever known. Charles reminds them that Austin
MAY pass the test, but he could also die. Greta points out that
this is virtual reality and even though it may appear that way,
Austin cannot really die. Oh, really? And Charles shoots darts at
him, ripping off his shirt and then making a huge red bloody X on
his chest. As Austin squirms in pain, Greta panics, then the X
disappears, and Charles reminds her that the pain IS real. He
tells them that it is time for the final test to begin, it's all
or nothing and that if Austin fails, he WILL die. Then Austin and
Greta are transported to what looks like Ancient Rome. He is
dressed as a gladiator and she as a princess. Gina appears
alongside Greta. Then Lilith and Curtis are also there, taunting
him. Charles announces to the cheering crowd (you don't see them,
only hear them cheering) that Boston Austin is about to enter his
biggest challenge, a fight to the death. Then three other
gladiators appear.
Abe & Lexie
Lexie returns home and asks about the window. He tells her it was
just a misunderstanding and changes the subject, asking how Hope
is. He is distant with her and she asks him about the window and
he blows up at her. She tells him that she saw Fay Walker leaving
and asks point blank if he and Fay are rekindling an old romance.
He tells her that he loves his wife and resents that question.
She calls him on it and says that he is sidestepping the issue.
She needs the truth and he agrees to tell her. They sit and he
tells her the story about Fay and Paul Mendez and how he was
always called over there for the fighting. He says that after
Paul went to prison, Fay changed her name and that he never knew
her as "Walker". He never knew that Brandon Walker was
Fay's son. He also tells her that when he was little, Brandon saw
them kissing and misunderstood. When she questions him further,
Abe says that Brandon remembered incorrectly and walks off. Lexie
demands the truth and he tells her that he doesn't owe her any
explanations or history of his past before he met her. She asks
him again what is going on between him and Fay now. He tells her
that Brandon will never give up against him and that the only way
they can have peace is to leave Salem and start a new life.
Sami & Brandon
Sami is at Brandon's apartment and wants to talk. She wants to
know more about him, but he asks her if she loves him. She
professes her love for Austin, but Brandon keeps questioning her
which makes her doubt herself. She says that maybe them
pretending to be in love has confused her. But he says that he
was NOT pretending and is NOT confused at all. He thinks that she
loves him as well and it scares her. She denies loving him, but
says that she deeply cares about him. He asks where they are
headed and she doesn't know, saying that she really doesn't even
know him at all. He tells her that if she knew the real Brandon,
she would be scared. He suggests that they dance and as they do,
she assures him that he can tell her anything, she will always
care, no matter what. Then he kisses her and tells her that he is
ready to open up to her and tell her the story about
Abe Carver.
John & Marlena John shows up at Marlena's office and jumps
her for what she said to Belle about their marriage being over.
He preaches her a sermon about how they should set an example and
how Belle is counting on them and how this is too much to lay on
her. He tells her that he doesn't want Belle hurt and he doesn't
want their marriage to suffer anymore. She is surprised to hear
him say that and expected him to say that the marriage was over.
John says that he doesn't blame her for what happened, but she
must accept some responsibility for her actions. She explains
that she thought Brady hurt Belle and that when she came out of
the coma, thought that Belle was lying to protect Brady. She
didn't think John could ever forgive her for all the trouble she
caused. He tells her that he came there to tell her something, he
loves her, still loves her, with all his heart and that will
never change. Marlena breaks down and says that she doesn't
understand HOW he could still love her after all she did to his
son. He says that when Belle told him that Marlena thought the
marriage was over, he said to himself "like Hell" and
what they have is worth fighting for. He says that he has asked
her to accept a lot lately, like fathering Hope's child, but
whatever happens, for her to remember that he loves her and that
he will do anything to save their marriage. Both are crying now
as they hug tightly. Marlena tells him that she knows he loves
her, but isn't sure of herself anymore. She doubts herself as a
wife, mother and a professional because of what happened. She
tells him that she can't accept his love or forgiveness until she
can make things right with Brady. He offers to work with her, but
this is something she must do herself. She says that she doesn't
deserve his love and that she needs time alone right now. She
thanks him for his graciousness and kindness. He reminds her that
it is NOT kindness, it is love and for her to never forget it,
then leaves her alone.
Bo & Hope
Hope tells Bo again that she wants honesty and that it isn't good
to keep secrets. She tells Bo that she knows that Bo isn't JT's
father. She tells him that she started questioning it all due to
the timing and knows that it is physically impossible. She
suggests that they sit down. She tells him that she has loved him
for so long that it kills her to even think that she could have
been with anyone else. He means everything to her along with her
sons. She then beats herself up over Princess Gina shooting Shawn
and Bo comforts her, reminding her that wasn't her. He tells her
that he wants to spend the rest of his life loving and protecting
the 3 most important people to him, her, Shawn and JT. She thanks
him for accepting JT as his own, even though they both know he is
not. She tells him that she and Marlena talked and that she
forced Marlena into revealing information about her pregnancy. Bo
gets furious with Marlena. Hope defends Marlena and tells him
that there are things that he doesn't know. She says it's John's
son. Bo asks why she is talking about Brady. Hope explains and
says that Marlena is an emotional wreck because of other factors.
She tells him that she knows the truth and it doesn't matter how
she found out. Bo agrees and apologizes, saying that HE should
have told her himself. He says that he always knew but didn't
want to hurt her by telling. But now he wants to be a family. He
doesn't care who the father is. After all, he says the kid is 1/2
Horton and that's pretty good DNA, who cares who the other 1/2 is.
She asks him if he thinks Stefano is the father. Yes, that is
what he believes and Hope assures him that he is not. Bo suggests
that maybe she was programmed to be attracted to Stefano. But she
is SURE that Stefano is not the father. He then asks what about
John? This catches Hope by surprise until Bo asks if John knows
that Marlena told her. Hope says yes and Bo wants to know why she
has discussed this with John. He says "tell me Hope, who
does John think JT's father is?" and the credits roll.

....COMMENTS TO OUR SITE VISITORS....
Many of you have emailed us about Bo & Hope now living in Jen
& Jack's old house. We think they are just using the same
set, but don't think literally bought Jack and Jen's house. Just
like Abe & Lexie using the set for Roman & Marlena's old
house (no wonder Roman never goes home, haha).

Lucky me, no garden today ;-) More serious talks among couples
today. The teens are plotting and irritable (except for Belle and
Shawn of course). Will Bo find out the truth about John being
JT's father? (well, sorta the truth, he's really Isaac's father).
Episode #8949
Directed by Randy Robbins
Tape Date: 11/9/00
Salem Place
Mimi rushes to a clearly shaken Jan's rescue to knock the rat off
of her. Chloe watches anxiously for Mimi to appear to get her
next. Elsewhere, Belle is enjoying the festive decorations and
caroling while shopping and Chloe rushes up asking if she's seen
Mimi. Shawn walks up behind Belle, shocked there are no shopping
bags on her arms (lol) and Chloe asks him if he's seen Mimi as
well. She rushes off, clearly on a mission, when they both tell
her no. After Jan retches in the bushes, Mimi tries to talk her
out of more revenge, reminding her that a lunatic is on the loose
and she herself is the next target. Mimi says they'll move into
her house on Whitley Street by New Years Eve, but until then,
fears living with Vampira. Jan has a plan to scandalize Chloe so
that Philip will never want to be with her again (nothing like
planning evil deeds to perk Jan's spirits up again!) Shawn tells
Belle he was looking for her to make sure she was okay after the
silly string incident and she's touched by that. Light hearted
talk about last minute guy shopping and the tree decorations as
he comes close to kissing her as they stare into each other's
eyes. As carolers are singing Jingle Bells nearby, Shawn picks up
Belle and sings along bouncing Belle in his arms. She has him put
her down as she has to buy a gift for a special person, Brady.
She got him sports related things the last two years and under
the circumstances, won't do so this year. Shawn suggests CD's.
Belle's worried about how Brady's going to do everyday things and
Shawn tells her she'll be there to help him. He tells her his
parents are getting married soon and she fears her parents might
be splitting up.Later we see Mimi and Jan lurking in Salem Place.
Apparently Jan coated herself with perfume to get rid of any rat
smells and is swigging mouthwash. They groan seeing Belle and
Shawn together and Jan tells Mimi that's one less guy Mimi will
get (this girl was just born rude, I swear!).
The Hospital
Brady's not a happy camper. Apparently he threw his food at
Brenda as Craig walks by the room and hears the shouts and Brenda
emerging with food on her uniform. She's ticked off as Brady's
complaining about the food and the cable channels on the tv.
Craig tells her to take a break and get cleaned up, reminding her
Brady's father is their largest benefactor. He tries to calm
Brady down, but Brady growls at him about everything and orders
him out. Craig offers to have real food delivered to him, but
Brady just throws the remote at him. Brady is impressed the way
Craig caught it and Craig seizes the opportunity to talk. He
confesses playing football when younger and can relate sitting on
the bench during games after getting a broken collar bone. Brady
assures him the situation's permanent for him, but Craig offers a
patient ear. Chloe barges into the room demanding to talk with
Craig, who tells her this is not a good time. Brenda scoots
through the door (in clean uniform) and puts down another tray of
food for Brady. Chloe notices it's his room and exchange rude
greetings (what's with these Salem teens??) and leaves.Craig
follows Chloe out of Brady's room (leaving the door open) and
Chloe vents about hating everything, her school, the kids, her
mother, etc. Craig will not tolerate her saying that about Nancy
and tells her that her mother has bent over backwards the last
year for her. If he talked like she is to an adult when he was
her age, he would have been grounded for a month (ain't THAT the
truth!). She wouldn't mind that so she wouldn't have to go to
school. She tells him she's filled out an application for a pre-college
program at Julliard in NYC, knowing she has the talent and can
make it big, all she needs is her guardian's signature to go
there (and a fat wallet). Brady finally speaks up yelling out
that Chloe was doing great until THAT line (about her talent).
She bustles into his room and asks what he means. He tells her
she has a good voice, but shows no emotions while singing. The
two exchange barbs and she flees the room as Craig watches. Craig
apologizes for Chloe and Brady tells him it's okay, at least she
treated him like a whole person. After Craig walks out, Brady
smiles and says she sure is a bitch (LOL!). Craig asks Chloe to
apologize to Brady and she refuses and rushes off.
Bo & Hope
Hope admits talking to John about JT. Although she doesn't tell
Bo that John is JT's father, she does assure him that John knows
it's not Stefano. She tells him how John told her that he had an
affair with PG 14 years ago and Bo inquires if John was sleeping
with PG when Hope got pregnant. She remembers her earlier
commitment to no more lies between them and simply answers that
John was planning his wedding to Marlena, the love of his life,
at that time. Bo accepts that answer, but comes unglued thinking
that Hope's resemblance to PG is so close that John must feel
something for her even after all these years. The thought of him,
or any other man, making love to Hope is unbearable. Stefano is a
controlling monster and although an unbearable thought of his
being with Hope, one he realizes was not out of passion. Hope
tries to get the focus back on their upcoming wedding, but Bo
asks her if JT isn't Stefano or John's son, who's is he? Hope
just asks Bo to love JT as his own son and let it drop. He
promises to raise JT as his son, but she wants more. She wants
him to love JT for who he is and he promises to do that. Hope
asks him to watch JT while she runs out and he suggests bundling
the baby up and they accompany her, but she shines it off saying
JT is finally asleep. He figures she's going Christmas shopping
and suggests a new motorcycle helmet, but she tells him it's
something for the wedding and rushes out, anxious to see John and
tell him he was right about not telling Bo the truth.
The Penthouse
Home alone, Marlena opens a book entitled Human Behavior and
realizes she isn't going to find an answer to her problems in a
book. John arrives home and she hugs him and tells him he was
smart to come see her at her office and smart to then leave her
alone. She can tell he's troubled about something and asks if
it's Brady. He tells her no and to sit down. He shares that Jen
and Abby are back in town and Marlena is happy to hear that,
especially for Alice. John tells her Bo came back with them and
in lieu of what's happened lately by withholding the truth, feels
they should come out about JT's being his son. Can Marlena handle
it, he asks. She doesn't feel the time is right yet. How will
Belle react to learn her father had an affair with Hope? After
her being responsible for Brady's becoming paralyzed, Marlena
admits being insecure about John's being around Hope more if the
truth is known. John feels strongly that the truth needs to come
out and leaves, determined that the truth will prevail. Marlena
rushes to the closed door telling him no, no and sits on the
couch in tears after he leaves and the credits roll. (why aren't
John and Hope using their cellphones to call each other?)

Confrontations abound, the teens shop Salem Place and Abe
& Brandon open up with Lexie and Sami.
Episode #8950
Directed by Randy Robbins (he's been a busy guy lately!)
Tape Date: 11/13/00
Salem Place
Chloe and Philip are shopping at Salem Place. She had called him
and asked him to meet her. The two hug while shopping and Chloe
spots Belle and Shawn who are holding hands. Philip wants to go
say hi, but Chloe doesn't and he agrees to continue shopping with
her. Too late though, as Belle spots them and shouts out a hello
while walking towards them. The guys talk about shopping while
the girls talk about Belle's dress she bought for Bo & Hope's
wedding. Chloe asks if Belle's going as Shawn's date, but Belle
tells her that he's in the wedding and will be busy. She hopes
Chloe will be there as Philip's date (being he's Bo's half
brother..I'm glad they're elaborating more on the family
connections). Belle hears the guys mention Brady's name (Philip
was telling Shawn what happened between Chloe and Brady at the
hospital). Chloe tells Belle how Brady was rude to her about her
singing and explains that she and Brady met on the pier and sang
a little opera together. Belle is surprised her brother even
knows opera. Chloe doesn't think Brady sings that well. Belle is
surprised at the Brady/Chloe connection, but Chloe reminds her
she has a boyfriend. Belle explains she didn't mean it like that.
The guys rescue them as Phil takes Chloe off for hot cocoa and
Shawn and Belle continue their shopping. Lexie and Abe are also
shopping at Salem Place. She tries to cheer up Abe and convince
him that no one blames him for what happened. She finally asks
what's going on with Fay and Brandon. Being there's an internal
investigation on the diner shooting, he tells her he can't talk
about it and she understands that, but continues to try having
him open up about other things. He finally tells her about how
controlling and jealous Brandon's father was and deserved the
time he spent in jail. Unfortunately when he got out he took it
out on Fay and the kids. Abe would have loved relocating the kids
on the other side of the country so their father couldn't get to
them. He admits having an affair with Fay. Lexie realizes that
was over 20 years ago, but still uncomfortable that Fay was in
their home. She suggests he ask Brandon for his forgiveness and
remind him what really happened back then. People at the hospital
have seen Brandon's good side and knows he has one if Abe looks
for it. She offers to invite Brandon to their house to talk, but
Abe asks to meet Brandon man to man first. She agrees.
Sami/Brandon
Sami continues trying to get Brandon to open up about what's on
his mind. She shares her childhood wasn't exactly idealistic and
pleads for him to tell her about his. He finally tells her about
his father being a sociopath and how he would come and go at will.
He use to hit his mother too, especially after finding out that
his mother was sleeping with another man, Abe. He explains their
last name was Mendez, but his mother changed it to Walker (her
maiden name) while his father was in jail. Sami remembers hearing
about the Mendez family in high school. (guess she went to school
with them and didn't know them then) Brandon tells her that his
father use to take Nicole out of algebra class to help him in his
scams. Sami asks Brandon to give up on the revenge and from
personal experience tells him the one getting the revenge is most
often the one hurt most. After more talk Brandon refuses to give
up on his revenge and tells Sami she can't ask him to be a man
now. She grabs her coat saying her definition of a man differs
from his and leaves.
Confrontations
Hope arrives at the penthouse, continuously ringing the bell and
pounding until Marlena answers the door. She demands to see John,
alone, and Marlena asks what she needs to tell John that she
shouldn't hear. Hope agrees, she needs to speak with both of them
and learns John is ìoutî. Marlena finally invites Hope in and
Hope explains what she's there for. Marlena gets angry and
jealous sounding prompting Hope to remind her that she loves Bo
with all her heart and John is passionately in love with Marlena.
They can't ignore the fact that John is the father of her son
though. Hope tries to reassure Marlena that all she wants is to
marry Bo and for them to raise their two sons together. She wants
John and Marlena to be token Aunt and Uncle, period. Marlena asks
about what Hope will say if Bo asks if John's JT's father and she
states he has and she replied to him that John was planning his
wedding to Marlena and on his honeymoon at the time she got
pregnant. Marlena starts crying, remembering that and tells her
she wasn't prepared for a discussion like this yet and has so
many things going on in her head. Marlena does not like secrets,
but promised to not tell Bo the truth. She can't, however, say
that for John whom she believes was on his way to tell Bo. Hope
can't believe Marlena didn't tell her that when she got there.
She calls home and tells Bo she's at Marlena's and they're trying
to track John down. Bo tells her John's there, but JT starts
fussing due to teething and Bo hangs up on her. Hope rushes out
asking Marlena if she hates her that much to do this to her.
After Hope's gone, Marlena tells herself that Hope, Belle and
John will never forgive her (don't forget Brady too!). John is
convinced Bo should know the truth as he knocks on Bo's front
door. Bo lets him in and asks about Brady when JT whimpers. John
rushes over, grabbing JT out of his bassinet and starts flying
him around much to Bo's dismay. John sees JT now has a tooth that
he missed out on and tells Bo he was there every day during Bo's
absence. Bo thanks him for that, but he's now home and can take
care of his son as he takes JT from John's arms. Bo thanks John
for his taking so much interest in his family, but tells him
frankly he's overdoing it and both John's family and his would
appreciate John spending less time there. John is about to tell
Bo, but Bo tells him that this is what Dimera wanted, to divide
and conquer. John agrees and changes the subject to Bo's trip to
Ireland and what Bo found. Bo tells him some, but one day will go
back to investigate further. John gets upset at that and Bo
finally tells him to take care of his son and he'll take care of
his too. After hanging up with Hope above, Bo steps over to JT
and tells John this little boy only needs one father. John smugly
tells him that may be out of his hands, causing Bo to look up
questioningly. Just as he's about to tell Bo the truth, Hope
strides in, grabbing John's arm and pulling him to the door (he
grabs his coat on the way out) telling him to take his mercenary
memories and get the hell out of her house. Don't come back until
he can accept her and honor her family which is hers, not his and
shuts the door on an amazed John. Bo watches as Hope walks over
and picks up JT and asks what the hell that was all about as the
credits roll.

Oh, wonderful show...that is if you like Hope as a liar,
John as a spoiled brat and Bo & Marlena as door mats. Oh, and
let's not forget Chloe plotting even more revenge! Don't know
about you, but it makes me feel warm and tingly all over...NOT!
The only saving grace of this episode are the scenes between
Alice and Jennifer.

A Change Of Heart For Brady?
At the hospital, Brady is reading and pitches another
fit, slinging his book (which looks like the Holy Bible) across
the room into the wall. Carl, his physical therapist comes in and
Brady lights into him (acting like a real ass) and refuses his
help. Victor is in the hallway listening to all this and is
disturbed. He comes in and tries to talk to him and Brady starts
to get smart with him as well. Victor tells him to just shut up
and listen as he gives him a pep talk, assuring him that he has
been through these same feelings himself. Later, Carl returns and
Brady apologizes for his earlier behavior and is now ready to get
started. As he leaves, Victor tells him if he needs him to just
call. Out in the hall, Victor assures Isabella that her son will
be fine.
Alice & Jennifer
Also at the hospital, Alice and Jen are having a visit. Alice
wants to know what happened between her and Jack, because she
wants to help, but Jen isn't ready to talk about it and asks
Alice not to pressure her. Well, at least tell her how they ended
up on Doug and Julie's cruise ship. Jen gives her the Reader's
Digest version and tells her that it is a miracle that they made
it and that Grandpa must have been watching over them. She tells
her that it was horrible in Africa and Alice pushes for more
details, but Jen clams up. She assures her that when she is ready
to talk, she will be there for her. Alice asks her to stay with
her to make her rounds, despite the fact that Jen has a busy day.
They pass Brady's room as Alice explains the situation. Later,
after making rounds, Jen tells Alice that seeing the children
with all their problems helps put her problems in perspective.
She thanks her for helping her and they hug. (Hey, isn't that
what "grams" are for?)
Chloe's Revenge - Part Deux
We first see Chloe at a store purchasing something, with the man
warning her that it is very dangerous and not to get it on her.
Outside, she runs into Mimi and scares her almost to death. She
acts all happy and assures Mimi that she is not ìafterî her.
After Mimi leaves, Chloe says that she will get her Christmas
present early this year and it will be something she will NEVER
forget. Philip meets up with Shawn and Belle and they talk about
the Bope wedding and whether Shawn will take Belle as his date.
As they talk, Jan rushes up still swigging the mouthwash. They
ask whatsup and Mimi tells them that Chloe gave Jan a ìrat
facialî (LOL). Chloe walks up and the 2 girls take off like
scared rabbits. Chloe admits to what she did and Belle is shocked.
Philip, however, sides with Chloe and says that Jan got what she
deserved. Philip and Chloe both laugh about it, but Belle and
Shawn are both disturbed. Chloe informs Mimi that Chloe was in on
it as well and she hasn't learned her lesson yet. After Belle
shames her, Chloe assures her that she will leave Mimi alone.
Philip and Chloe return to their shopping as they are watched by
Mimi and Jan. Jan tells Mimi she had better be careful. Chloe
turns and looks at them and they take off. To herself, Chloe says
that Mimi will get her present tonight. Shawn and Belle also
return to shopping as he offers to help her with her list. They
clasp hands and smile.
Hattie's Transformation
Hattie is also out and about and admiring herself in her mirror
and flirting with men in Salem Place. Rolf gives Stefano an
update on Hattie, but Stefano wants him to work faster. He wants
his mercenary John back now to help him remove Abe from
Alexandra's life. Then, he will use John to orchestrate his
complete destruction of the Bradys. Stefano is a bit baffled that
John hasn't visited him lately and wonders whastup. Rolf suggests
that Bo learned something in Ireland, but Stefano assures him
that he didn't. Stefano does tell him that some Irish woman (Jen)
helped Bo and that he doesn't know who she is, she will dearly
pay as well. Hattie arrives as Stefano hides behind a 2-way
mirror. Stefano sees her and says that this will never work, that
she has about as much class as a baboon. Rolf has a bunch of
beauty experts there to perform a makeover for her to give her an
idea of what is to come. After they finish, Rolf gives her a pep
talk and leads her to the mirror. After seeing her, Stefano gets
excited and says that it might just work after all.
Bo & Hope
After Hope puts JT to bed, Bo demands an explanation of what she
did to John. Hope says that Marlena told her that John was going
to do something that could destroy their lives and she had to
stop him. Bo wants to know what and Hope lies and tells him that
John was going to ask them to join him in destroying Stefano. Bo
doesn't really believe it and tells her that John seems really
concerned about her and JT and frankly they are none of his
business. He is upset that John wants to be JT's second father.
Hope questions him as to what John said and Bo explains. He tells
her that John was about to tell him something else just as she
charged in. Hope lies again and tells him that John wanted to
talk about Stefano. Hope changes the subject and tells Bo that
she loves him and is so happy that he has accepted JT as his own
and will raise him with the same love as Shawn. Bo tells her he
feels guilty about not helping with the wedding, but she assures
him that all is taken care of, thanks to Lexie. She says that the
bridesmaids are wearing red and green (Huh? Didn't we see Lexie
in a BLACK dress last week?). Jokingly, Bo asks if he has to
dress as Santa Claus. Hope says only if she can jump in his lap
and tell him what she wants for Christmas. They talk about the
wedding some more and about how their love has survived through
all their trials. He says that this time the vows will be filled
with more meaning, experience and love than the first time and
they kiss. (I'm sorry folks, but I'm not buying this storyline.
The dialogue between Bo/Hope; Hope/Marlena and John/Marlena is
all over the place and I'm having trouble following it. They are
all acting SO strange and out of character, it's like we are
seeing strangers on the screen - but what's new?). Anyway, on to
John and Marlena.
John & Marlena
John returns to the penthouse and Marlena wants to know what
happened. He tells her about Hope throwing him out and demands to
know what Marlena told her. He gets angry with Marlena for
interfering and she tells him he should leave Hope and her family
alone. He says that he can't, won't. She tries to explain what
went down and talk some sense into him, but he gets even angrier.
He says that it seems that everyone is getting what they want,
but him (Excuse me, but what a SELFISH bastard!) She asks him to
let it go, because of the destructive consequences his actions
could have. He gets smart with her and tells her that he will do
whatever the ìdoctorî wants and will deny his son. He really
shows his ass and she tells him that he is acting like a child (he
almost destroys the Christmas decoration on the table). She
reminds him that what Hope wants and the child's welfare and
happiness are what are important. The needs of the child should
come before the parents. That is how it must be, as John shakes
his head (still looking angry) and the credits roll.
