MONDAY, NOVEMBER 20, 2000**
John and Marlena find out that Belle can't help either of them as
Brady makes his escape from Salem. Brandon is forced to commit to
Angela.

Does Anyone WORK at Titan??
Nicole has Mickey in her office going over her offers from other
publishers. She wants the other companies to make their offers
through Victor. (EEK! Shield your eyes--she has flashbacks of her and
Victor in the back of the limo--oh, God--I'm going blind!) When
Mickey questions her, she tells him that she wants Victor to know
about the offers. Mickey tells her that this is unprofessional and he
has had enough. She needs to get herself another lawyer. She talks
him out of quitting, but he wants to know what she is up to. She
tells him that she wants to know just how desperate Victor will be to
keep her. Kate and Victor arrive at work and speak to the
receptionist Denise. (Denise???--what happened to Marie? Did they
fire her?) Victor finds out that his lawyer Gene Briscoe is waiting
in his office. Kate questions him about it and he tells her it's
about Brady and doesn't concern her and goes on in. Victor finds out
that Brady is on the run and is upset about it. Then he asks Gene
what he has to do to get out of the mess that HE is in. Gene tells
him that he needs to get Lucas and Kate out of his life--permanently.
Gene informs him that if he is implicated in the cover up, he can use
the excuse that he was in the nursing home, heavily medicated and
didn't know what he was doing. He tells him that he may have to
testify against Kate if it comes to it. As Gene leaves, Victor sees
Phillip in the hallway and he asks him about marrying Kate. Victor
gets agitated and asks if he has been talking to Nicole, which leads
them to talk about her. Phillip thinks Nicole is attractive and
interesting and if he were 10 years older--who knows? Phillip asks
him whatsup between him and Kate and Victor rushes him out the door.
He tells his dad that he is sure they will be married by Christmas.
In fact, that's all he wants for Christmas--that and a new car.
Nicole hears them and thinks to herself that little Phillip doesn't
always get what he wants--but SHE sure will.Kate goes to her office,
upset. Phillip shows up and can tell that Kate is upset. She assures
him that she is okay and questions him as to what he and Victor
talked about the night before. Phillip is sure that Victor will marry
her eventually. She changes the subject and they talk about Phillip.
She offers him pretty good advice about Chloe, telling him that she
is just a teenage girl and the mood swings, etc. are normal and that
things will work out. She ends with telling him that she just wants
the 3 of them to become a family again, then rushes him off to
school. As he leaves, she spots Vincent Moroni in the waiting area
and invites him in. He tells her he is there for the wedding and she
tells him that Angela is making a mistake and that he and his
daughter are both fools. She also tells him that Brandon and Sami are
just using Angela to frame her for Franco's murder. She also tells
him that if Franco's murder investigation is reopened, then Roberto's
will be too and he doesn't want that, does he? (Help me out here--.I
forget, was Moroni the one who killed Roberto?) Vincent gets her
point and tells her that she has nothing to worry about.
BUSTED!
We get a replay of Sami getting the tape and Angela watching. As
Brandon and Sami hug, he sees Angela headed their way. She confronts
them and is upset. She tells them that she must tell her father that
she isn't getting married and he is going to be very disappointed.
Brandon tries to explain, but she isn't buying it. She tells Sami
that the tape in her hand is blank and that it was all a set up. Sami
takes full blame and tries to explain that it was all her idea and
she forced Brandon to help her (against his will). Sami plays the
"mother card", turns on the tears, and says she did it all for Will.
Angela tells them to stop--it's all over--they are both lying. They
keep trying to cover, but she does not believe them. Brandon grabs
her and says "believe this" and kisses her long and hard. (hehe,
watch Sami turn into the green-eyed monster as she watches). He tells
Angela he will do anything to prove it to her and they leave together
(to make love), her all starry-eyed. This leaves Sami alone, upset
and jealous.
Belle Speaks--But Not What Anyone Wants to Hear
Shawn and Belle pick up talking where they left off. Out in the
hallway, Shawn hears a ruckus and goes to see what is going on. Well,
what is happening is that John and Roman are having a shouting match,
fueled by the fact that John saw Marlena and Roman hugging (she was
thanking him). But John demands to know what the hell is going on.
Marlena tells Roman and Shawn to give them some time alone with Belle
and they go to her. In her room, Belle starts asking them questions
and is upset to find out that she has been out so long. She tells
Marlena she remembers a party and Marlena tells her about how her
friends were all there for her birthday. She asks where Brady is and
Marlena tries to change the subject. She tells them that Shawn
mentioned an accident but she doesn't remember what happened. Roman
gets a call from the cops that they have Brady cornered at the motel.
After he gets off the phone, he and Shawn talk about Brady being
wanted. Shawn is confused and is certain Brady would never hurt
Belle. Roman talks to the doctor about Belle's memory loss (Just how
unethical is THIS?--he's not even family!). He tells him that it may
be short term or she may never remember the accident. Roman is upset
because if Belle can't remember, that means his whole case will fall
through. He vows to keep his promise to Marlena.
Brady Escapes
Replay of Brady at the motel as the cops bang on the door. He refuses
to go outside and kicks down the door of the adjoining room. A woman
starts screaming and the cops rush in. In the next room, a man starts
blabbering about how he didn't know she was a hooker! (ROFLMAO!!!) as
Brady and the cops rush through. As Brady climbs a fence a shot rings
out and they think they got him. But he gets up and steals a cop car
and takes off. Later, he is in a grimy bathroom washing up. He can't
understand why the cops are after him if Belle is awake. Surely she
has told them the truth. He says that Roman and Marlena want him dead
and blames them. He takes off and is later seen hitchhiking. A woman
stops and picks him up. She asks him where he is headed and he says
where ever she is going--as long as it's far away from Salem--and the
credits roll.Laney
TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 21,

IT'S A NEW DAY IN SALEM (but still night on the Irish sea).
Marlena has a light bulb moment and Hattie's nose job gets
started.

Honker Job
Hattie proceeds with her nose (aka "honker" job). She's a little
surprised to hear Rolf's planning on doing it in his office and
leaves telling him to forget it. She's not doing it unless she's in a
hospital with a lot of George Clooney's running around. (LOL!) Rolf
chases her and assures her it's safe and saving her hospital fees as
well. After telling her that Roman will want her after the nose job,
she agrees. She puts on lipstick for her "before" pictures and turns
and smiles when he tries to get a profile picture of the nose. A sexy
nurse (Ingrid) walks in that's popping the buttons of her mini skirt
uniform and Rolf tells Hattie she was flown in from Munich for the
surgery. Hattie doesn't want to be knocked out for the procedure and
agrees to just "float" on a valium drip. Ingrid and Rolf share growls
and grabs when Hattie goes to get in her gown. They get ready to
start the surgery and Rolf numbs the area, but not too much. Hattie
dreams about seeing her reflection and looking like Marlena and
smiles. She wakes up as Rolf aims his hammer and chisel over her nose
and screams as he starts pounding away (OW, knock her out Rolf!)
Hope & Her Boys
Hope is glowing with John Thomas home. She remembers John telling her
that he's the daddy and is willing to live a lie to make everyone's
life happier. Shawn comes down the stairs and shares light
conversation with his mom. He's happy to see her in a happier mood
and asks about his dad. She tells him she's thankful for Bo. He tells
her how Uncle Roman feels Brady tried to kill Belle and Hope is
shocked. He tells her about the fight her overheard and knows
Marlena's not Brady's biggest fan. Gran arrives carrying her basket
of donuts for the homeless shelter for Thanksgiving Day (those
suckers are going to be rocks by then!), and gives ShawnD a kiss.
Gran is surprised Bo's not home yet. Hope asks Gran to babysit for an
hour or two while she runs an errand. Shawn will be Gran's back up.
Hope's determined the truth will never come out.
Nancy's Tough Love
Nancy & Miles watch Marlena calling for Belle's latest test
results. She's a little testy with the person answering the phone
(must not have been Sami as she even had to spell BLACK) and mutters
to herself if the person had to take a literacy test to get the job.
Nancy goes to in to spread sunshine with Marlena and mentions needing
to put their own problems aside to help others with theirs. Marlena
reminds her that she just answers the phone and she's the one who
helps others. Being Belle was recovering, Nancy thought Marlena would
be in a better mood, and tells her she has been a royal bitch. Oops,
Doc didn't like that comment. Nancy tries to explain that everyone
has problems, but Marlena's losing her grip and taking her anger out
on everyone else. Marlena finally agrees that Nancy might be right.
Roman arrives to tell her about their not catching Brady. Miles comes
to tell them the show's about ready to go on and Roman tells her they
have a guard posted by Belle's room, not to worry. Marlena grabs her
purse and runs off saying her baby is her first priority (guess she
knows how good those Salem PD guards are, haha) leaving Miles
screaming the show must go on. Nancy sits in Marlena's chair and puts
on the headsets, ready to take over. Miles announces Marlena had a
family emergency and Nancy Wesley is filling in. He explains she's
not a doctor, but a philosopher of life. The first caller is "Linda"
from Des Moines about her husband cheating on her. LOL. After hearing
about Linda's situation, Nancy straightens this chick out (IMO she
called it right too!), but Miles is pulling his hair out in the
control room at her comments. The next caller, a 15 year old girl,
complains about her parents not letting her watch tv until her
homework is done, get her tongue pierced or stay out after 10 pm.
Nancy tells her she may not be a doctor, but is a mother. She doesn't
feed, clothe and house her daughter to go brain dead in front of the
tv, get her body pierced and run around with the wrong crowd. Gotta
love Nancy!! (except what time was Chloe out until the night before?)
Miles hears the switchboard is lit up as everyone loves Nancy's tough
love manner. Miles is pleasantly surprised. Marlena and Roman return
to her office after she confirms Belle is sleeping and with a guard
outside her room. Roman also tells her she can't be everything to
everybody. Marlena tells him she's been selfish with her heart and
she doesn't even know herself lately. She tells him how John asked
for her unconditional love and support and she didn't give it. Roman
tells her John didn't deserve it, but Marlena now sees herself
through John's eyes and it's not a pretty site. She wants to find him
and work things out before it's too late. Roman leaves to go check on
Brady. Hope catches Marlena, who's looking for John, in the hall and
tells her about knowing John's the baby's father.
Back To The Rockin' Boat
The boat's rocking a little and Annie feels a breeze coming from the
southeast, predicting another storm. She's confident she can direct
them back into port and goes downstairs to look at her charts. Jen's
upset about Bo's wanting to return to Dublin (didn't Jen just say she
wanted to be on dry land and not risk Abby's life out at sea?) Down
below, Annie pops another nitro, praying for a wee bit more time so
she can finish her work. Bo and Jen argue about his continuing his
snooping into DiMera's factory. She admits to him that Jack's
selfishness is responsible for screwing up their life and Bo should
examine his motives unless he wants to have the same happen to his
family. He's worried about taking care of Stefano so nothing else
will happen to Hope, but Jen reminds him if he gets killed, he won't
be around to protect her or the boys. Annie calls Declan and we learn
she was pretending to shoot at him. She finds a manual drill and
proceeds to drill a hole in the boat (oh yeah, an Irish Alice all
right (NOT!). She returns top side and has another pain. She finds
her nitro container is empty and comments home is where the heart is
and her heart is with the sea. Jen notices something's not right and
Annie collapses into Bo's arms. Bo checks and tells Jen that Annie is
dead. Jen is upset and the two of them wrap Annie's slicker tighter
on her (get her cell phone too!) nd find a piece of paper in Annie's
pocket and after reading it, says Oh dear God, as the credits
roll.
Linda
Oh damn... we almost were finished with the GOE storyline, but Austin
and Greta returned.
WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 22,
2000***
No one is giving thanks in Salem, as there is not a turkey in
sight. In fact, not even a tiny snack! Brady is on the run, Hope
& Marlena talk, & Bo & Jen run into trouble on the
boat.

At The Hospital...
John is speaking into his cell phone, making sure someone has
installed everything properly. He enters a very sleepy Belle's room
and she calls him Daddy. She asks about Shawn a couple of times, and
is happy to know he was there. She asks about Marlena and Brady, too.
She wants to know what happened to her, but John says she has blocked
out a small bit of time, and the doctors want her to remember on her
own. John says she should consentrate on thinking about all those who
love her and to get some rest. He leaves the room as Gary arrives,
telling him that everything is installed and working perfectly.
Evidently John's car is now hooked into policy frequencies.Meanwhile,
Hope and Marlena are in Doc's office. Hope cannot understand why
Marlena did not tell her that John was the father of her child, not
Stefano. They have a long, heartfelt discussion. Hope tells Marlena
"Don't counsel me, just listen". She says Marlena is standing there
like she is feeling nothing. But Marlena is very much on the edge.
They talk about not telling Bo that John is the father, and why.
Marlena leaves.
On The Road.......
The woman who picked up Brady says her name is Leila (pronounced
Layla). She wants Brady to fix her CD player, and he gets a twinge of
pain as he fiddles with the dials. They talk about riding horses, as
both of them seem to know quite a bit about it. Brady turns on the
radio, and quickly changes the station when the news comes on
(talking about the manhunt). Brady gets skittish, and asks her to
drop him off up the road. As she drives off alone, Leila turns on the
radio, hears about the search for the blond guy, and picks up her
cell phone.
At The Cop Shop......
Roman and Abe are discussing Brady, and Roman is adamant about
Brady's guilt. (Hey, Roman, ever hear of innocent until proven
guilty, remember when SAMI was accused of something SHE didn't do (?)
Abe tries to point out that there is no case against Brady unless
Belle can remember and tell them (yay, Abe) They talk about Marlena
and Brady and Abe says Brandon used to be a nice kid, too. He tells
Roman how furious Brandon became that Fay told Abe that Brandon was
her son. He asks if Roman is interested in Fay, and hints maybe he
really is interested in Marlena (DUH! ya think?) A policeman enters,
notifying them both about a call. Roman takes the phone and Leila
tells him about picking up Brady on Rt. 12. They leave to go on the
hunt.
On The High Seas.......
Jen reads the letter from Annie, who says she knows this is her last
adventure and that she is ill, and wants to be with her husband who
was buried at sea. Down below, the boat is filling with water from
the hole Annie drilled (Knew we could not trust her! or she is
determined to be buried at sea one way or the other). Jen tells Abbie
about Annie dying, (WHY is that child not wearing a life jacket?)and
they all have a small service, and bury Annie at sea. Declan calls on
the mobile radio (well, it is good to know they DO have a radio on
board, still wondering how Annie's cell phone worked in the middle of
the ocean....do they have transmitting towers bobbing around on buoys
out there?). Bo tells him about Annie, and Declan taunts Bo, saying
that Annie died a patriot, but that he is just going to die, period.
The boat begins to list, as Bo & Jen discover the hole in the
keel, with no way to stop the water coming in.
Back On Rte 12.....
John is listening to the police frequency, hears the latest about the
search, and realizes that Brady is no longer at the motel. Meanwhile,
Brady is still hitching, gets lucky (??) and another woman picks him
up. Ethel is dressed like a real floozy, and appears to have perhaps
been drinking. As they drive along, she keeps eyeing Brady, and
licking her lips, (figuratively speaking! LOL). She comes on to
Brady, who is not in the mood. She draws a gun, points it at him and
says "No free rides, you're gonna put out for me". Brady naturally is
pretty alarmed, draws back into the corner, opens the car door and
jumps out. He rolls on the ground, and as he wipes the dead grass and
leaves from his face, he hears a noise.......and looks up to find
himself face to face with a rattlesnake as the credits roll.

At The Hospital
Most of the action takes place at the hospital today as Nancy is with
Craig and can't contain herself. She is bubbling over telling him
about her debut on the radio. (She says that she will be bigger than
Dr. Ruth, at least taller. LOL). Craig reminds her that she is NOT a
doctor and goes on about his work. She says that she has a flair for
it and Miles called her a "Philosopher of Life". She is sure she can
do a better job than Marlena.Elsewhere in the hospital, Marlena is
with Belle, fixing her hair and getting her dressed. (BTW, she DOES
have all her hair after the brain surgery, simply AMAZING!) She tells
her that she has invited some of her friends over to celebrate her
getting to go home tomorrow. Belle asks if Brady and Dad will be
there as well. In the lobby, Shawn and Mimi wait as Phillip and Chloe
arrive. Well, Mimi and Chloe immediately get into it. Mimi mouths off
something about Chloe "putting out for Phillip" and Chloe slaps her
(and Mimi calls her a bitch) and the guys have to separate them.
Phillip demands an apology and tries to calm Chloe down as Mimi
pretends to barf. They finally all enter Belle's room as Marlena
tries to keep Belle calm. Marlena excuses herself and asks the guard
if Brady has been there. After a little bit, Phillip tells them he
has to get home for Thanksgiving dinner (he isn't inviting Chloe?).
Mimi and Chloe trade ugly looks from across the room, then Craig
comes in to check on Belle. Nancy catches up with Marlena in the hall
and fills her in on stepping in for her and how she was a hit. She
tells Marlena she doesn't look well and should take a break from the
show. Marlena tells her no. Nancy goes into Belle's room and prattles
on and on about how much better she was on the radio than Marlena.
(Craig keeps trying to stop her). Finally Chloe yells for her to just
shut up and storms off, with Craig going after her. In the hallway,
he tells Marlena that there has been a bus accident and asks if she
could help out in the ER, and she heads that way. Nancy rushes out
after Craig and Chloe and walks up to hear them talking about her (as
Craig tries to smooth things over). Chloe doesn't want to hear it and
storms off. Earlier in the show, Hattie is at home nursing a sore,
bandaged nose. She has flashbacks of telling Roman that she loves
him. She gets all excited and her nose starts bleeding. She thinks
she has ruined her nose. She tries to call Dr. Steiner but can't get
him and decides to head to the hospital. In the ER, Marlena sees two
orderlies talking and laughing and tell her she has to see this. She
pulls back the curtain to find Hattie. Marlena becomes upset
demanding to know why she has had plastic surgery and what she is up
to. Hattie yells for the nurse to get that "crazy lady" out of there.
Later, she says that she will take over Marlena's life and she will
disappear.Dr. James comes by and tells Belle that she can go home.
Shawn and Mimi help her (Shawn pops wheelies in the wheel chair as
they leave). Marlena returns to Belle's room and becomes really upset
that Belle isn't there. Marlena looks as if she is on the
verge of a nervous breakdown.
Brandon Takes Angela
Else where in Salem, Angela and Brandon are toasting each other. She
wants him, NOW and starts undressing him. As they kiss, he fantasizes
about it being Sami. (Geez, it looks as if Angela is going to eat him
ALIVE!) He carries her to the bedroom as the telephone rings (It's
Nicole, see below) but they ignore it and go at it. Later, they are
basking in the afterglow and Angela is all happy, but Brandon is
thinking about Sami. Angela assures him that they can help her as
soon as they are married
Thanksgiving At The Kiriakis Mansion
What a lively bunch at the mansion! Lucas is bitching, and Kate tells
him that Sami is their biggest problem and that they should be
thankful she doesn't have anything on them. Sami strolls in and tells
them that it won't be long. (She is there for a belated birthday
party for Will). Will rushes in yelling "MOMMY". As Sami and Will
have a mother-son reunion, Kate and Lucas roll their eyes. Sami takes
Will to the den and is joined by Nicole. They get into it at first,
but Nicole assures her that she is on her side. Sami wants Nicole to
call and check on Brandon. She calls but gets no answer. Sami asks
Nicole what she has on Kate and Lucas. Nicole tells her that it would
take hours. Sami wants proof that Nicole has something on them and
Nicole plans to "torture the bastards".In the other room, Kate has to
stop Lucas from drinking while Sami is around. Victor asks her what
is wrong, noting that she is pale and she storms off. Phillip comes
in and asks her what is wrong. She hugs him, telling him that she
isn't sure that Victor loves her anymore. She wanted them to be a
family, but isn't sure that will happen. Henderson calls everyone for
dinner.During dinner, Everyone goes around telling what they are
thankful for and everyone is a bit intrigued by Nicole's toast to
Victor (which is a thinly disguised come-on, IMO). After dinner
Nicole and Sami plan a surprise for Lucas. Phillip corners Victor and
what's to know what is going on and why he and Kate aren't married.
Kate goes upstairs to lie down as everyone else retreats to the den.
Victor basically tells Phillip it's none of his business as they
argue. Phillip tells his dad that if he hurts his mom, he will never
forgive him. Victor tells him that love is not easy, and you never
know what will happen. Phillip goes to check on Kate and almost
catches her with a hand on her breast as she says that she can't take
this. As they talk, Victor comes in and excuses Phillip. He tells
Kate that it's time for them to talk about their future. He starts
kissing her and tells her that he wants her.Downstairs, Will tells
Lucas that he wants to live with his mommy as Nicole and Sami are
huddled in the corner. Lucas asks why they are "thick as thieves".
Sami tells him that she knows what he did and that he is "dead in the
water". Lucas immediately denies being a murderer and almost spills
the beans. Sami says that wasn't what she was talking about as Nicole
smiles. Lucas storms off and Nicole asks Sami if she is convinced
now. To herself, Sami says that she must nail Kate and Lucas soon,
before it is too late for Brandon and the credits roll.
Laney
