SEE!! Also, no Garden of Eden, No Italy..all Salem today. Between
fight with John, Hattie encounter and then Brady, poor Marlena had a
rough night at the mall! Thumbs up to Deidre on a great
performance.
Episode #8904
Directed by Randy Robbins
Tape Date: 9/14/00
Serenading 101
Chloe is in her room, throwing a cd in her portable player when she
hears a noise outside. Alas, it's Philip tossing rocks at her window.
She asks him if that's his surprise, throwing rocks at her window,
but he tells her he wanted to see her in the moonlight. He picks up
his guitar and we hear him playing (but never see his hands moving,
nor does he look down while playing either ;-) He sings the Everly
Brothers song "Dream, Dream, Dream" (not bad, a little off tune at
times, but I give him 10 points for just knowing an old song like
that ;-) We come back later and he's still singing the song with
Chloe smiling down on him. When he finishes, she sits down on the bed
while he calls up to her that he's no Marc Anthony (LOL), but he was
just trying to blow her away and show her how he feels. He was hoping
it wasn't too late for them and walks off when she doesn't come back
to the window. She looks out (without her glasses) and tells him it's
not too late. He wants to climb the lattice up to her room to just
look into her eyes (this guy's got it bad!), but she tells him no. He
tells her to lower her hair and he'll climb up it, LOL. She smiles
and tells him she'll come down on her own, just not tonight, okay?
She needs the night to be alone with her feelings. She bids him good
night and tells him how she liked his song. He rushes off with his
guitar, anxious to call his dad and tell him how it went. Inside
Chloe chastises herself for sending him away.
Bye Bye Bo
Hope helps Bo pack for his trip. She suggests they go upstairs and
fool around a little before his trip. He's all for it until she
brings up they can make a little brother or sister for Johnny. He
feels they've got their hands full with Johnny right now and don't
need another baby right now. She disagrees, but he tells her now is
not the right time to get into this with him as he's leaving..she
does agree with that. They kiss and she asks if he's going to stop by
the pub for a minute. He tells her he is. She tells him that she's
going to take Johnny to see Dr. Maxwell (at night?). He offers to go
with her, but she's just happy he asked and said she'll be fine
alone. She reminds him to be back by Johnny's christianing and he
promises to. Bo stops by the pub and Pop isn't happy he's going, but
knowing he can't stop him, tells him to take care. Pop warns Bo not
to be telling people over there things that could hurt them. Bo tells
him he's just going to check out the Brady/DiMera connection and not
for Pop to worry about the cousins over there. Pop warns Bo to talk
privately with Ian in Ireland. He reminds Bo of his family here in
Salem that need him.
Back to the pub in Ireland, we see a few guys eating a sandwich. The
owner tells the other two that he talked with "himself" just an hour
ago. Himself told them to scare Bo Brady back to Salem as quick as
they can, but without hurting him. The waitress (Jen?) delivers
something to their table and smart mouths them, calling them the 3
stooges, LOL. She tells them she's had enough of men to last her the
rest of her life. After she leaves the table, the other two tell Ian
to fire her, but he tells them she's had a hard time of it and he
feels sorry for her. She goes to the bar and claims she doesn't need
men. All husbands do is bring you grief.
SALEM PLACE.... WHAT ARE THEY PUTTING IN THE COFFEE TO MAKE PEOPLE SO
MEAN???
John & Brady
A replay of John and Brady where Brady tells John he'd never hurt his
baby sister. John asks Brady if they can work through this and Brady
tells him no way as long as he's living with the shrink from Hell.
John tries to justify Marlena's thinking bad about Brady by the way
he's been acting. He tells Brady that Marlena was good to him when he
was a kid and they both thought going away to school was good for
him. Brady continues trashing Marlena and as long as John's sleeping
with the enemy, won't listen to his father. Brady tells him if John's
wife doesn't let up on him, he doesn't stand a chance and walks off.
Someone touches John's shoulder and he jumps, but it's just Hope
carrying Johnny. John smiles. She's happy to run into him as she and
his name sake like the way he fusses over the baby. She asks if it's
a bad time, but he assures her it's okay. She tells him she ran him
over to see Dr. Maxwell, but he was tied up. She didn't have any
specific reason to see the doctor, just feels reassured by taking him
to see him. Johnny's asleep and she asks John if he wants to hold
him. He takes the baby and tells Johnny that he and his mom are going
to do everything they can to help him stay good. Hope smiles. They
sit over a mocha and she tells him about Bo going off to Dublin to
get away from them. She's not sure how Bo feels about the baby. She
wants to change the subject, but John wants to be there to help Hope.
He offers to help Hope with Johnny anytime she needs it and she asks
why. He tells her they're friends. She doesn't buy it and wants the
real reason, NOW!
Marlena Sees A Ghost?
GREAT flashbacks folks!!!!
Hattie accuses Marlena of thinking she's so important that people are
following her around. Marlena takes a good look, seeing Samantha's
(sister) face and asks if it's her. Hattie thinks Marlena's crazy.
Marlena remembers her and Samantha arguing (wow, don't miss this show
if you want to see Deidre (Marlena) and Andrea (Samantha/Hattie) way
back when!) A long flashback about when Hattie took Marlena's
medicine. She remembers Samantha calling her a phony and Marlena is
amazed at the similarity. She looks at Hattie and tells her she's
dead (thinking of Samantha). Hattie asks if she LOOKS dead? A
flashback of Don Craig (one of Marlena's ex-husbands) with Marlena
when he thought she was dead. He's so relieved she's still alive and
tells her about the woman who was murdered in her apartment looking
just like her and she realizes it was her sister who was killed.
Back to present with Hattie telling Marlena she should be locked up
as she's the one who's crazy. Marlena remembers back to Samantha
acting like her, proud that she fooled both Laura and her doctor into
thinking she was Marlena. Marlena is a little dazed as Hattie goes
off on her about Dr. Higley and how first she's accusing her of being
a stalker and then saying she's dead. One of them is crazy and it's
not her, LOL. She calls Marlena a phony and claims she won't make a
victim out of her. Roman walks up and Marlena is so relieved to see
him. He greets both Marlena and Hattie. Marlena asks if he knows
Hattie and he tells her yes, but what's bothering Marlena? Marlena
tells him to LOOK at Hattie (yeah Salem's finest, notice a
resemblance?) and tell her what's bothering her.
While Hattie watches, Marlena pulls Roman aside and tells him what
happened. She tells him he and this woman may be acquainted, but it's
the first time she's seen her. She tells him this woman starting
ranting at her about her show, but lowers it to verbal abuse, then
maybe she's just reacting as it hit her so hard. He offers to buy her
some infamous Salem tea, but she rushes off upset. (can't take any
more of that tea, ey Marlena?)
Brady stops Marlena in the street by the mall and asks where she's
rushing off to. She tells him to let her pass and he tells no and to
shut up. He can talk with her any way he wants, but she won't. She
better keep her mouth shut, or she'll be sorry. He tries to assure
her he would never hurt Belle and she doesn't buy it. She reminds him
how he's acted all summer and she has just cause to be concerned. He
threatens her she'll be out of the house before he is. Marlena
promises to tell his father about this conversation in detail. He
isn't worried, his father will just realize what a slut she is (oh,
slap that kid!) She tells him they were married and he starts off on
Roman and how she split his parents up. He tells her to take off and
see how far her lies will take her this time. He congratulates
himself on how well his payback is working.
Roman asks Hattie what happened and she asks him if he has an hour,
she can tell him, ending with Marlena accusing her of being dead. He
asks her to let it go. She tells him she can't let it go. Marlena
gets on the radio to help people, but after what she said to her, she
wants answers. He tells her that Marlena saw a ghost when looking at
Hattie. He tells her about Marlena's twin sister Samantha who was
murdered. She gets goose bumps and wants to know what happened. She
didn't know anything about the Salem Strangler and learns Samantha
was his last victim. Hattie realizes when Marlena saw her, she
thought she might have been her dead sister. Roman tells Hattie if
she keeps losing weight, she could look just like Marlena's sister
(gee, he JUST realized that?) Roman goes off to see Marlena, but
Hattie asks him again if she could look like Marlena, and he tells
her yes, with hard work she can. She warns him that Marlena will only
chew his head off, but he knows better and leaves. Hattie is so happy
that Roman won't be able to tell the difference between her and
Marlena and won't that be a blast? As the credits roll.

Marlena and Belle talk about Brady, Sami's rushed to the
hospital, Nicole does her Sharon Stone impersonation
Episode #8905
Directed by Herb Stein
Tape Date: 9/9/00
Salem
Brady must have also bought a new basketball with John's credit card,
as he's now shooting hoops in the park. Philip joins him. Brady
notices Philip looks happy and asks whatsup. Philip has to tell
someone or he'll burst. He confesses serenading to Chloe and Brady
teases him about it. Brady can't believe his grandfather (Victor)
serenaded someone at their age and reminds Philip he's younger than
he is. Laughing to the two start playing b-ball one on one. Philip
has the ball and bouncing it, teasing Brady. He finally shoots and
gets a basket and while Brady tries to block the ball, elbows Philip
in the face (ouch) knocking him on the ground. Philip gets up rubbing
his face, reminding Brady it was just a game and leaves, mumbling to
himself that Brady is totally whacked out. Marlena returns home,
clearly still upset, as she hurts her finger while trying to unlock
the door. She sits down to take a breath and Belle quietly comes
downstairs, putting her hands over her mom's eyes and asks guess who.
Marlena jumps. After realizing Belle is okay (much to Belle's
surprise) Marlena tells her she just had a run in with John about
Brady. Belle reminds her she's grown up now and Marlena can talk with
her about what's wrong. Marlena agrees and asks Belle about Brady.
Belle (pouring some of that Salem tea for her mother, tells Marlena
that Brady's different, but a good different. Belle has childhood
memories of how Brady use to always stay in his room. She would join
him and watch tv, play board/video games, etc. with him and sometimes
he would confide his deep dark secrets. He use to tell Belle he
thought he was from another planet and Marlena calls Brady
delusional. Belle can't believe her mother said that and tells her
Brady just made up stories as he knew how much she loved them. She
goes on to tell her mother how she knows Brady knew Marlena sent him
away to school to get rid of him. Not so, Marlena says. John AGREED
it was the best thing for Brady to be around other boys his age and
the school had a good sports program. Belle flat out tells her mom
that even she could tell Marlena didn't like Brady and always had
John deal with him. Marlena tries to rationalize being a step mom,
she didn't want to overstep her bounds, but Belle reminds her Brady
was just a kid and needed her. She thinks Marlena's the one with the
problem, not Brady. Marlena tells Belle to be responsible and mature
and spend a lot less time with her brother.
Guess Nicole didn't like eating alone at home. At Java Café
she sees a headline in the newspaper reading "Tycoon Dies and Assets
Seized". She hopes Kate and Lucas rot in prison, but has other plans
to take down Victor.
Cop Shop
Roman tells Abe about what happened with Hattie and Marlena. Abe asks
who Hattie is (another Salem's finest who didn't see the Marlena
resemblance, sigh) and Roman tells him she use to work with Faye.
That sets off a flashback of Abe telling Faye he'd always be there
for her. Abe downplays his knowing Faye as a beat cop helping a
battered wife and Roman tells him how Faye seems to be Hattie's only
friend. He likes Hattie's spunk and knows she's trying to get her
life together and wants to help her. He brings up Faye's the mother
of.... when Nicole poses at the door in her mini skirt, SUNGLASSES
(it's night time lady) and a black scarf over her head. She takes off
the glasses and lowers the scarf, glad to see Salem's two top cops
together as she needs to talk with them. They try to tell her they're
too busy to talk until she says two magic words, Franco Kelly. (Oops,
got their attention.) She tells them she wants to do a story on
Franco Kelly and crosses her legs seductively while talking to them,
them crosses them the other direction (reminds me of the movie where
Sharon Stone was being interrogated). She has Roman and Abe's full
attention as they remind her someone confessed to Franco's murder.
They share barbs back and forth and Abe finally tells her if she
knows something, to talk or suffer the consequences. Nicole peels off
her suit jacket, wearing a black camisole top underneath. ROFLMAO!!!!
Roman gets up and gets a raincoat off the back of their door and
blankets it over Nicole's lower half. He figured there might have
been a "problem" with her legs. She tells him he's gallant like his
son and throws the coat on the floor, asking if Roman's hot too?
(what a ho!) She finally asks what would happen if someone knows what
happened and comes forward. They tell her the person could probably
get immunity (thinking she's talking about herself I think) and she
figures Victor would probably get off scott free if he testified
against Kate and Lucas. The top cops know Nicole knows something, but
maybe blackmailing the real killer. Roman's determined to find out
what she does know. Outside Nicole gets a call on her cellphone from
Lucas, telling her he's coming home. She's happy about the
timing.
Italy
Brandon carries Sami into the only place in town apparently. He lies
her on the floor and before collapsing there himself, tells Victor
and Kate it's all their fault. Victor feigns surprise to see them and
Lucas (to himself) is relieved Sami is still alive. An older patron
gets up saying he's a doctor. Angela pulls herself away from her
father and latches onto Brandon as he's trying to sit up and help
Sami. The doctor rolls Sami over and says she's bleeding and a waiter
gives a cloth napkin to put over her wound. The doctor says she has
no pulse and is in shock. The camera pans Victor's and Kate's faces
watching anxiously and Kate even smirks a little. Lucas hopes Sami's
ok as the old doctor says they need to stop the bleeding and restart
Sami's heart. He does one or two compressions (very cautiously) and
feels a faint pulse. He slowly goes to put his head on her chest
(LOL) when the paramedics arrive. The paramedic by her head on the
gurney listens to her breathe and tells the other guy they'd better
hurry (that from a listen to her face?)
Later Lucas rushes in Victor's villa asking about Sami. Kate says
Sami's too mean to die. Victor reminds Lucas they're the only 3
people that know what happened the night Franco was shot as Lucas
flashes back to telling Nicole. He tells them he's taking Will home
and calls upstairs for Henderson to get Will ready. Kate brings up
their marriage again and Victor can't believe that's all she can
think about in lieu of what might happen to them and goes upstairs.
Kate is determined not to lose everything and has to have Victor sign
those papers before Sami gives him another stroke (yeah, she really
loves him, doesn't she?)
Sami is wheeled into the ER area and the doctor tells Brandon to wait
outside. Angela overhears Brandon talking to himself, hoping Samantha
doesn't leave him. Later the doctor tells Brandon she's stabilized,
thanks to Brandon saving her. X-rays are on the wall and Angela's
lurking in the doorway crying as Brandon sits and takes Samantha's
hand (she's asleep). He tells her that he'll always be there for her
and the doctor asks him to step out. The doctor (who NOW speaks
English, huh?) tells Brandon it will take Sami time to get strong
after all the blood she lost. Angela cries just feet away knowing
that Brandon still loves Sami.
Back To Salem
Brady returns home and overhears Belle telling Marlena she can't
believe her wanting to stay away from her brother and rushing
upstairs. Marlena steps out on the terrace with her tea. Brady
quietly walks in, telling himself he'll get Marlena back for that,
and sneaks upstairs.
Continuation of Hope's interrogation of John's motive for being so
helpful with Johnny at Java Café. John blows up and asks if
she's angry at him because he's doing what Bo should be. He
apologizes, but Hope agrees it's true and tears up. Hope tells John
how she's trying to be a good mom to Johnny, but it's so hard. John
rationalizes it's taking Bo longer to adapt to the situation and Hope
admits she hasn't told everyone the whole truth yet. She knows Bo
doesn't love Johnny. She tells John that Bo once hinted he wasn't
really Johnny's father. She would never have been with anyone else,
but has a sick feeling about it and needs John's complete honesty.
She asks if there's a remote chance that as PG she might have been
with another man? She doesn't remember stealing artwork, so maybe she
reconnected with an old love. (Just TELL her John). He asks if she
has any idea who? She looks him in the eye asking, DO YOU? As the
credits roll.

WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 11,
2000**
All Salem today. Chloe and Nancy have a nice talk, the Blacks
are out and Hattie runs to Faye.
Episode #8906
Directed by Phil Sogard
Tape Date: 9/11/00
Chloe & Nancy
Chloe wonders if her musical ability was inherited or self taught and
asks Nancy when she walks by her room. She tells Nancy how Philip
serenaded her. Nancy realizes Philip must really care for Chloe as
that's something right out of a movie or an opera. Chloe smiles and
feels maybe she and Philip can start over again. Nancy reminds Chloe
of all the bad stuff that happened when she first came to town and
realizes it DID bother her daughter after all. Chloe tells Nancy of
an overweight gal at school named Marge and about other kids they
pick on. The kids call Marge, who's overweight, Largey Margey. They
call Marge other names as well and do cruel jokes like filling
Marge's locker with peanuts, etc. Nancy gets upset and calls the mean
kids bastards. Chloe says Marge gets a glazed look in her eye and
Nancy explains that Marge may realize it's not how others see you,
but how you see yourself. Chloe tells Nancy she doesn't know how she
feels about herself and she is frustrated that she doesn't feel
comfortable with herself. Nancy rationalizes it's probably because
she was adopted and Chloe actually tells her this isn't Nancy's
fault. Chloe tells Nancy she was alone all those years and now that
Nancy is there for her now, it feels hollow. Nancy assures Chloe that
she is not a freak and everything she's doing tonight is normal.
Maybe there's something about Philip that doesn't fit with Chloe. A
lot of men are going to be interested in her and if nothing else,
they can be friends. Chloe figures that's the kiss of death to a guy
to hear that and Nancy disagrees. She and Craig were friends before
they fell in love and still are friends. Nancy suggests Chloe talk to
Philip and Chloe smiles, agrees and leaves to do so.
Belle & Shawn
Belle visits Shawn. Brady is following his little sister. He
remembers Marlena warning Belle about him and pulls his switchblade
out and opens it, commenting there's more than one way to hurt
someone. He wonders why Belle's there, but will wait. Inside Belle
tells Shawn about Brady dropping out of college and the hostility
between her mom and Brady. She leaves and Brady follows her with an
open knifeShawn . He asks what she's doing out and she tells him
about visiting and telling him Brady dropped out of collegeThey .
Brady wished she hadn't done that (why?). talk about how she knows
Brady's not dangerous and he isn't so sure of that and leads her to
see some danger.
Hattie Visits Faye
Hattie rushes to tell Faye about her meeting with Marlena. She's
confirmed her suspicion that Marlena is not only a phony, but mad as
a hatter. She tells Faye about overhearing Marlena's arguments then
their face to face encounter. (the wardrobe department sure must be
having fun with Hattie's outfits, that top is something else!) She
calls Roman Mr. Wilbertson (?) and how he came and defended her.
She's going through all this dieting and exercise for him. She's lost
15 pounds already and Faye comments she can tell. She pulls her face
back to pull off all the wrinkles (like a conga drum she said) to see
what it looks like. Peering into the mirror, Hattie asks Faye for a
glass of water. She calls Dr. Steiner (knows the number by heart).
She asks him how much weight she has to lose before the surgery and
he tells her about 30 pounds. Faye gets concerned about Hattie who
keeps sending her out to get water for her as she uses her phone to
call Rolf. Rolf tells her it normally takes 3 weeks to prepare for
the surgery (?), but, and she hangs up quickly on him. (How many
doctors answer their own phone? Not mine.) She tells Faye she might
go away and if she does, she'll come back an entirely different
woman. (note the glass is only ? full when Faye brings it and Hattie
still leaves 1/3 of the water when she asks Faye for more water,
haha). She calls Rolf AGAIN and he knows it's her and even offers to
take her out to dinner to answer her questions. He asks if she's
going to come and see him and she slams the phone down again. Faye
wants to know who she's calling when she leaves the room. She tells
Faye this person is giving her advice on what to do to go on living.
She drinks some more water and goes to run home. Faye's concerned as
Hattie lives miles from her and suggests she use the bathroom first
after all that water (my thoughts exactly, LOL). Hattie tells Faye
it'll just make her run faster.
Back To John And Hope
when Hope asked John about whom she might have slept with as PG. She
can tell he knows something and asks him. He hesitates and Marlena
pops up and tells him to go ahead and tell her (doesn't ANYONE in
this town stay home at night?) Hope didn't realize John was meeting
Marlena and Marlena tells her he didn't know he was. Hope takes her
cue to take Johnny to the changing room (all he wants to do is sleep
though). John asks Marlena what she was doing and realizes he doesn't
mind hurting her, but doesn't want to hurt Hope. He calls Marlena
rational about all this and she takes exception to that. John asks
Marlena for a little respect to Hope and Hope returns. Marlena
questions her about what she and John had talked about and Hope gets
uncomfortable, feeling maybe she should wait and talk to Bo about
this. John watches nervously as Hope realizes maybe they can help
her. (take the baby home to bed, if it's cold enough for them all to
wear coats, shouldn't he be inside?) Hope asks about hypnosis. John
tells her it didn't work with him. John warns her it will take too
much time and energy and doesn't she have enough on her hands with
Johnny right now. Hope tells Marlena she enjoys her talk show and
knows she's busy, but surprised she hasn't come over to spend some
time with her and the baby. Marlena agrees and will do so. John keeps
rushing Hope to leave and finally asks John and Marlena if
everything's okay. He tells her it is and Marlena doesn't even smile.
After Hope leaves he tears into her about how she acted and more
concerned with shielding Hope and the baby then his own family.
Brady's name is mentioned again.
Later Hope is home with Shawn and Johnny. Shawn holds his brother and
Hope can tell how much he loves him. She tells him everything's okay
and she took the baby for a walk to Salem Place. Johnny starts
breathing funny, then starts crying. They stick a pacifier in his
mouth and Johnny starts sucking it. Hope goes to get a bottle for the
baby and Shawn realizes Johnny's turning blue and calls for his
mom.
Back at Java Café, John defends Brady to Marlena and tells her
that Brady's not a threat after Marlena tells him that Brady
threatened her. She reminds him how he use to always say their love
would overcome even Stefano. Marlena figures maybe John liked the old
John and doesn't want to lose him. She reminds him how he was with
Hope on their honeymoon and he starts walking away saying this isn't
even happening. She tells him it's a stinky exit line and suggests Go
to Hell Marlena so he can stomp over to Hope's and be with her and
the child they made together. He tells her he is about to lose the
most precious thing in his life because he told the truth and NOTHING
DiMera does to him can compare to what it would do to him to lose her
and his family. Marlena chokes up on that statement as the credits
roll.

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 12,
2000***
Greta and Austin go from the Garden of Eden to the ocean,
Brady plays dare with a train and John turns into a
caveman.
Episode #8907
Directed by Phil Sogard
Tape Date: 9/12/00
At The Java Cafe...
John & Marlena continue their argument, with Marlena saying she
always thought their love & trust was strong enough for them to
withstand anything. John blames DiMeara for turning him & Hope
into other people and orchestrating events leading to their eventual
coupling on the sub, but says when he was tossed into the ocean, his
love for Marlena is what saved him and brought him back to her.
Marlena notes it is in John's nature to always be there 24/7 for
Hope's baby, and then starts in on Brady. John says he realizes his
problems w/Brady stem from his own problems and he is going to start
working on them. Marlena says "Not in my house". John says he thought
the house was "ours" and mentions never giving her a hard time when
Sami caused all the strife in their lives, and that he always treated
Sami well. Marlena replies that she needs to have some time away from
John. (Uh, oh...) And Mr. Caveman says, no, we are going back to the
house and "I am going to have my way with you"!! (Oh, yes, the
neanderthal approach is soooo welcome when one is upset). She turns
away, he grabs her, throws her over his shoulder, kicking and
hollering, and strides off with everyone in Salem Place watching. One
guy tries to intervene, but John just pushes him away.
In Italy...........
Brandon is at Sami's bedside in the hospital (doesn't anyone think of
notifying her family back home??) where she is saying how much she
loves Austin, and he flashbacks to several different scenes of him
and Sami in the past, especially kissing her. Sami begins to come to,
and spots Angela listening, (who figures Brandon really loves Sami)
warns Brandon, and they stage a conversation about her great love
back in Salem, Austin. Angela buys it, and comes out of hiding. Sami
"comes to" and Brandon explains what happened to her. Angela insists
she is going to make her father let them get married immediately and
kisses Brandon, while he reaches out behind her back and holds Sami's
hand as she's a little emotional watching him kissing Angela. (Talk
about having your cake and eating it, too)
Moroni pays a visit to Victor and Kate, who again warn him against
Brandon, claiming he is just taking Angela for a ride. Moroni tells
them Brandon blames them for Sami's accident, and wonders why. They
admit knowing both, and Kate even mentions Austin's name as the man
back in Salem that Sami loves, but say just a coincidence they are
all in same place. They inform Moroni that back in Salem Brandon is
quite the ladies man, but Moroni says his daughter's happiness is
most important, there WILL be a wedding, probably in Salem, and they
will be invited. He leaves, and Victor tells Kate it is time to give
Sami what she wants......full custody of Will. He tells Kate to call
Lucas (who is on way back to Salem) and inform him of this.
Back In Salem...........
Brady takes Belle to his favorite childhood "thinking" spot, along
some railroad tracks. He really gets some strange looks on his face
(shiver). As they walk, he tells her how he used to spend hours
there, imagining where the trains were going, and that his mother was
still alive. He proceeds to tell Belle that he knows John and Marlena
had something going for them before his mom...and that he thinks
J&M tried to kill her. That Isabella got amnesia or something and
is still alive, that the story of her dying in John's arms is a
crock. Belle defends their dad. Brady then talks about how he used to
"challenge the trains" as a kid. He would stand on the tracks til the
trains were nearly there, then run off. He enjoyed giving the
engineers fits. Belle is shocked that an 8 yr. old would endanger
himself this way. They turn to leave, when they hear a freight train.
Brady, despite Belle's pleas, decides to play "chicken" with the
train.
The Infamous Garden Of Eden........
Greta is trying to rouse Dudley Do Right....oops...I mean
Ausdum.....oh, shoot....I really mean Austin. She asks God to help
her. Austin comes to, and they see a white dove with a note attached
to it's feet. Austin retrieves it, and Greta reads how they have so
proved their fortitude, they have earned a day of rest, along with a
change of clothes! (I am needing a barf bag about now). But they must
remember they have to always be righteous (??). They look up, and
find themselves at the seashore (probably same one Chloe romped on
with Phillip, lol) with waves crashing. Austin is in swim trunks and
Greta in a bikini as they find an inflatable kayak for Austin to go
paddling away in, while Greta floats around on an inflatable raft.
The play around with a ball and frisbee along with knocking each
other into the water. The camera pulls back, and we are at the
shoreline, with a huge rock. Standing there is a figure in a long
cloak, the wind blowing her beautiful white hair. Tis Alice, watching
the two cavorting in the sea, and saying "Be careful, children".
(This storyline cannot end too quickly for me). Greta once more gets

Back To The Ocean Of Eden
We return to find Austin swimming to save Greta. The cloaked Alice
tells Austin to use his inner strength to save Greta. Austin prays
while swimming for God to help him save Greta, a good person, so she
can save others. Greta goes underwater, blub blub. He gets to her and
she's doing the dead man's float and carries her to shore (what's
with the seaweed on them?) He stands to shed the seaweed and she pops
up, saying she heard a voice. In pops Alice who tells them they
passed the test and for them to listen to their hearts. Alice
vanishes. They're back in their leaf outfits again and find a card
with the King of Hearts on it. When Greta says what the card is, a
man appears with a blackjack table and deals cards to them. Austin
gets a King of Hearts and Greta a Queen of Diamonds. He turns it from
a diamond to a heart as well. Greta tells Austin she doesn't think
this guy is playing with a full deck. He tells them he's from another
planet which means the planet of love (oh brother) and does a little
movie for them showing them where his planet is. Austin asks if he's
going to take them on a virtual tour of it. The man tells them no,
their mission was to bring everlasting love to their planet. This guy
tells them how they came to save the orphans and how Greta is a
virgin. He tells them why Austin hasn't made love to Sami yet and
they're both pure of heart. He wants Greta to bring a child into the
world (WHAT?) She tells him she's not ready to be a mother, but he
tells her she'd just be a surrogate mother and everyone in the
universe would know when the child is born and the brightest star
would shine (oh, gag me!).
Back To The Railroad Tracks
With Belle yelling at Brady to get off the track. He yells for the
train to "beam him up" (if he's a trekkie I'll have to cut him a
little slack being one myself) and how he's not destructible. He
jumps just in time as Belle yells her mom is right, he IS sick. She
tells him he's not crazy, just WATT (weird all the time). She
confesses she does like fitting in with school, cheerleading,
fashions, etc. The two goof around and she finally insists he tell
her why he dropped out of school. He just needed a break, but tells
her staying at the penthouse is like staying at the dark hole in
Calcutta. He remembers Marlena's threat if he hurts Belle and doesn't
want to talk about her. She doesn't give up on helping him and tells
him to start doing things that make him feel good about himself. All
Brady will tell Belle is that Dad will pay for what he's done to him.
She reminds him that he wanted to go to that boarding school and how
John loves him. Another train comes along and she gets up on the
rails. Brady panics and tells her to get off of there, but she's just
showing him how it feels. She starts hopping around and gets her foot
stuck. Brady thinks she's kidding and doesn't move, but she tells him
she's serious.
Back To Caveman Hauling Marlena To Bed
Without breaking a sweat, John carries Marlena into their room and
plops her on their bed like a sack of potatoes. He starts kissing her
and she resists at first, but can't help herself and melts in his
arms. He's glad to know he hasn't lost his touch and tells her to
remember she is the love of his life and not to forget that. She
tells him she loves him too and they go back to kissing and
stripping. Later we return to them in the after glow, under the
covers snuggling. He tells them the secret to a happy marriage is
non-verbal communication and offers to get her something to drink.
She suggests he pour ice water on her and when he gets up to get the
water, she sees his tattoo again, making her tear up. She admits the
tattoo on his back reminded her what's happening. He wonders if
they're ever going to get past this as she reminds him about his new
son.
Back To Johnny Turning Blue
After Shawn called Hope back into the room saying Johnny was turning
blue, Hope rushes in and takes Johnny. Johnny starts crying and they
got a reprieve, but leaving them anxious about what happened. Hope
tells Shawn about Johnny's respiratory problems and calls the one
person who said they'd always be there for them (oh phew, not John,
but Lexie). Lex is only 2 minutes away and will be right there. Lexie
gets there and assures them Johnny's okay now. Hope says hi to Isaac.
Alice must have been there too as Hope carries out a plate of donuts
from the kitchen as she and Lexie talk about the upcoming
christening. She shows them the gown Gran found in her attic for
Johnny to wear. Johnny starts making faces and Hope and Lexie realize
he's turning blue again. They rush him off to the ER.
Shawn call John per Hope's request to tell him what's going on. After
saying he'll be right there, John hangs up and jumps out of bed.
Marlena asks if it's Belle, but John just rushes out of the room.
Bo Arrives At The Pub
Bo asks for Ian at the pub. Ian and the other 2 men saw him enter and
prepare for what lies ahead. When Bo identifies himself to the
waitress at the counter, the other waitress (Jen), drops her glass
mug and draws his attention, but he only sees her back. Ian tells her
that's the 4th this week and this one's coming out of the paycheck.
She quits her job (after seeing Bo there) and Ian asks about how
she'll feed her daughter? She rushes into the next room and gets her
daughter (no faces yet) and they leave quickly. The other two leave
to go outside to get ready to beat Bo up per orders while Ian greets
Bo. They sit down over a pint and talk. Ian asks about Caroline. Bo
tells Ian he knew Pop told him he was coming and did he tell him why?
The two thugs evesdrop. Bo asks him about the DiMera factory and Ian
tells them he doesn't know anything. Bo calls his bluff and everyone
in the pub stops to watch them. Finally Ian tells him not to look for
ghosts and goblins and sorry bucko, he's not talking. He tells Bo he
has something to do and about the shortcut through the alley to his
hotel. Bo leaves and cautiously proceeds through the alley (where Jen
and Abby are hiding behind some boxes). She sneezes and he asks who's
there. Before he can look over, the two thugs knock him on the head
and drag him away. Jen pops her head up and we see her full face as
she whispers BO as the credits roll.
