Episode #8899
Directed by Herb Stein
Tape Date: 9/5/00
Pretty good show. At least everyone is a LITTLE nicer today!
And is Sami a goner???
Chloe's Troubles
After seeing the display in her bedroom, Chloe stands and cries and
says that Nancy DID remember. She opens a gift. I think it is some
kind of hair clip, and she also finds earrings. She is upset, saying
that Phillip will never see them. She has flashbacks and begins that
perhaps he HAD been trying to tell her the truth. She hears a noise
outside and rushes to the window, thinking it is Phillip. But, it's
Brady and Belle (Now, just WHAT are they doing in the Wesley
backyard???) More on that below. She is disappointed it isn't Phillip
and returns to her gifts, praying that Phillip will call her. In one
of the gifts she is shocked to find Nancy's old diary. She wonders
why she gave it to her and begins to read. What Chloe doesn't know is
that earlier, Phillip (after talking to his dad) is heading out of
the Kiriakis Mansion with a guitar over his shoulder. Nicole stops
him and tells him that what he is attempting is a bad idea. He tells
her that he is just following his dad's advice and she finds this
amusing, the thought of Victor serenading someone. They talk about
Victor and Phillip loves and trusts his dad's advice. He inquires
about her father and she clams up and rushes him out the door. He
thanks her for being there for him and being nice to him and tells
her that he is glad she is around. After he leaves, she says she
isn't going anywhere. He shows up at the Wesley house, to be greeted
by Craig, who proceeds to rail him out. He explains that he is sorry
about what happened but ended up falling for Chloe and now wants to
make amends and must let her know how he feels. Craig tells him that
he had better be sure about his actions before he hurts her again and
tells him to leave.
After Phillip left, Victor calls. Nicole tells him that she was
thinking about him and he says he was thinking of her as well. (Then
he tells her that must be why he has a splitting headache (LOL) They
talk shop and she ends up coming on to him and says that she can't
wait to see him back in action. He asks to speak to Phillip and she
tells him where he is. She also (in a round about way) insinuates
that she may possibly try and seduce Phillip, telling Victor that she
will treat him as "her own" which gives Victor pause for thought.
Marlena's Troubles
John and Marlena walk in and see Brady holding Belle on the terrace.
They are just goofing off, but Marlena thinks he is trying to hurt
her and demands that he put her down. He does and Marlena rushes to
Belle and hugs her, asking if she is alright. Brady understands what
they were thinking and storms out of the penthouse. Belle tries to
explain that they were just picking, but Marlena thinks there is more
to it and tells John she wants Brady arrested before he hurts
someone. John and Belle are both dumbfounded and Belle can't believe
what she is hearing and rushes after Brady. John and Marlena argue
over the situation and she says that they must protect Belle,
believing that Brady is a threat. John tries to assure her that he is
no threat to anyone, but Marlena points that she felt the same about
Sami a few years ago. She turned a blind eye to the situation and
Sami hurt a lot of people. John gets upset with her and says that all
of this is a result of her anger towards him. he tells her that she
must accept what he told her earlier and deal with it. But she tells
him that this is 2 separate issues. John storms out to go and find
Brady, but before he leaves, he tells Marlena to crawl down off her
pedestal, find reality and deal with it. Alone, Marlena picks up the
Bible and reads from Matthew. (They don't give the chapter and verse,
but if you want to read it, it is Matthew 7:1-2. Of course, they
paraphrase it, but I recognized it immediately for it is one of my
favorite scriptures). It reads (from the King James Version) "Judge
not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgement ye judge, ye
shall also be judged and what measure ye mete, it shall be measured
to you again." These powerful words give her pause for thought. Belle
finds Brady in the Wesley's back yard (again, WHY there?) and they
talk. She is worried about what happened earlier. Brady apologizes
and asks if she is okay. She assures him that she is and she tells
him that she can't understand why her mom thought what she did. He
tells her that he knows she loves her mother and refuses to run her
down. She talks about Isabella and how beautiful she was in pictures
and he is sad that he doesn't remember her. She says that she is
honored to be named after her. He changes the subject and calls her a
munchkin and they pick and start tickling each other and laughing.
From the bushes, John watches and wonders why he can't relate to
Brady the way Belle can.
Sami's Troubles
Angela continues to seduce Brandon, but he keeps trying to stop her.
She gets upset and calls him a player saying he just wants something
in return the tape. He starts kissing her again and tells her that
they will make love when the time is right. She gets upset and tells
him to go back to Sami. He sweet talks his way out of it and she
swears that she can become the woman he wants. She goes home and
Brandon is glad everything is under control. Meanwhile, we get a
replay of Sami taking a nose dive over the cliff. Kate takes a peek
over the edge, but before she can see anything, Lucas comes up and
startles her. He is terribly upset in the car, she tries to explain
what happened. She tries to pass it off as an accident, but he knows
she killed Sami on purpose. Below the cliff, Sami's sweater is hung
on a tree branch and she is dangling there. She comes to,
calling Will (as she has flashbacks of his life). The branch snaps
and she falls. In the car, Kate and Lucas continue to argue and she
sticks by her story that it was an accident, but admits she is glad
Sami is dead. Now they can get on with their lives - she is gone and
is NOT coming back. But Lucas is an emotional wreck. Finally, Kate
tells Lucas that she is not absolutely sure Sami is dead, but Lucas
is sure she is, saying there is no way she could survive that fall.
Sami drops to a small ledge and passes out again. When she comes to,
a terrified Sami sees the ocean below and wonders how she got there.
She cries and screams for help. Back at the cottage, Brandon sees her
open window and takes off, looking for her. He is at the edge of the
cliff, calling for her. Down below, Sami (after almost falling)
decides her best chance is to jump. Above, Brandon hears her scream
as the credits roll.

Episode #8900
Directed by Herb Stein (?)
Tape Date: 9/6/00 (?)
Belle & Brady
It is morning and Belle and Brady are at home. They continue their
talk from the night before. Belle still can't believe that John and
Marlena thought Brady was trying to hurt her, because they always
pick like that. Belle discusses the possibility of fixing Brady up
with one of her friends. He asks her if Shawn Brady is her boyfriend,
which she strongly denies. Eventually, Belle leaves for school. After
she is gone, Brady raids John's private hiding place and finds $400
and his Barron's credit card.
The Diner
Hattie shows up at the diner and Faye is thrilled to see her. Mel (or
whatever his name is) doesn't share the sentiments. He threatens to
throw her out and she threatens to sue him if he touches her. She and
Faye (who calls her "girlfriend") high-five. Hattie tells Faye about
her plans to have some plastic surgery and Faye is against it.
(Hattie says that she is sure that Dr. Marlena has had a few nips and
tucks). Faye encourages her to spend her money on a cruise or
something. Roman shows up and Faye goes back to work, leaving them to
talk. He says he was just going to go by and check on her. He offers
coffee and a doughnut, but she declines, since she is watching her
weight. I can't remember what else they talk about, but it must not
have been too important.
Chloe and Nancy Make Up
Chloe comes down for school and sneaks out without speaking to Nancy.
Nancy hears her leave and is crushed. Chloe comes back, however and
apologizes to Nancy for her behavior the night before. She returns
the diary to Nancy (she read it) and Nancy tells her that she never
forgot about her. Chloe thanks her for remembering her birthday.
Phillip and Nicole
Phil is on his way to school (anxious to see Chloe) when Nicole stops
him, telling him that he must have breakfast. While they are eating,
she asks some personal questions (like if he and Chloe have had sex).
Phillip gets offended (telling her it is an NYB) and leaves. After he
is gone, Nicole can't believe how simple this is going to be. Later,
she slings a picture of Victor up against the wall. At school,
Phillip is talking with some other kids when he spots Chloe from
across the hallway. They just stare at each other.
Italy
Kate, Lucas and Will return to the house and Kate is thrilled to tell
Victor that Sami is gone. After Lucas puts Will to bed, he isn't so
thrilled. Victor questions them about evidence and Kate assures him
that she scoured the area and left no trace. Sami is down on the
ledge and Brandon is calling for her. She tells him that she is going
to jump and he talks her out of it. He finds a rope and climbs down
to her. After seeing that they can't climb back up, convinces her
that they MUST jump. She is screaming and he grabs her by the hand
and they jump...as the credits roll.

Episode #8901
Directed by Randy Robbins
Tape Date: 9/13/00
Philip apologizes and Chloe forgives him, Nancy plots to take over
the show and John gets tough with Brady.
Salem High
Phil begs for 5 minutes with Chloe to explain about the bet. They
step outside and he admits being a jerk and going along with the bet.
He tells her that was the winner though and how hooked he is on her.
He tells her he didn't fake anything with her after the dance, all he
wants is to be with her. She asks why he didn't tell her the truth
before and he confesses he's tried, but was worried how she'd take
it. He can't change what he did, but promises to never do something
like that again to anyone. She contemplates that and as he starts to
walk away, she tells him she believes he's sorry. She asks what now
with a smile. He asks if they can be friends as he knows he's not the
right guy to be dating her. He finally admits he really wants only to
be with her, but she's too good for him. She needs a guy who deserves
her. She asks how she's suppose to meet the right guy and he tells
her once this guy gets to know her, he won't be able to stay away,
just like he can't. He raves about her singing and how her heart is
into it. She tells him she thinks Philip is good enough for her and
he said if that were true, she'd forgive him for what he did, not
just believe him that he was sorry. She tells him eye to eye she
forgives him and wants him in her life. He takes her into his arms
and hugs her gently. He asks if she'll go out with him again and she
doesn't think she can. She doesn't want to go through this again. He
asks if she'll be home tonight and to be by her window when the sun
goes down.
The Penthouse
Brady returns home loaded with shopping bags and finds John at the
"scene of the crime" on the terrace. His usual technique of smart
mouthing and running upstairs isn't accepted by John this time. John
asks Brady how he got a new watch and all the stuff he brought home
and knows Brady didn't have any cash and his ATM was maxed. Brady
tells him he stole them. John believes him and Brady is hurt his
father would believe that. He takes the bags up to his room and kicks
the door shut with his foot. John angrily rushes up the stairs, grabs
Brady by the coat and forces him down the stairs to the couch. Brady
is shocked by this and accuses John of trying to kill him. John
assures him if he had meant to do that, he would have. They talk
about Isabella and John tells him the only way he was able to go on
after Isabella died was because of Brady. John defends Marlena during
their talk and tells Brady that he'd see and hear things from him
that Isabella would have said and felt her presence through Brady.
Brady listens, but doesn't buy it. John tells him that he Marlena,
Belle and Brady ARE a family. John doesn't take Brady's guff. Brady
knows he's the loser son and they want him out of there. Brady does
admit stealing the stuff, but not from Barron's, but from John.
The Radio Show
Nancy tells Marlena about the bet. Marlena tells Nancy she knows
these boys, especially Shawn, and she feels they didn't do it to hurt
Chloe. Nancy reminds her about what you read in the paper about how
everyone thought kids were nice, until they do something bad. Marlena
comments on that, referring to Brady without using his name, and
Nancy senses Marlena's maybe in danger. Marlena tells her she was
speaking in general terms and changes the subject to Chloe. Marlena
compliments Nancy saying she sounds like a talk show host. Nancy
backpedals and finally says she's had people saying she should be one
and Marlena catches on. She tells Nancy after she spends 8 years of
her life to get her MD, she'll turn the show over to her. Slam dunk
and leaves the room. Nancy isn't discouraged and sits in Marlena's
chair. She said Oprah never took any Hippocratic oath and has done
very well. She speaks into the microphone, TO HEAR, TO HELP, TO GO TO
HELL and giggles.
Marlena returns and the show starts. Calls come in that Nancy doesn't
think are WOW enough. She calls Miles and he agrees. She feels
Marlena (Pollyanna on steroids) isn't cutting it. She tells Miles to
buy Marlena out and she'll (Nancy) work for free. Nancy warns him
their ratings are going down so fast, he won't have long to think
about it.
Belle comes to the studio and Marlena comments she likes Belle's
haircut (parted in middle and falls smoothly at her chin line. She
tells Belle to see less of Brady and Belle tells her they were only
playing around and he's her brother. Marlena warns Belle that Brady
is troubled, but Belle doesn't buy it. She says Brady wouldn't hurt
anyone and is a sweet loving guy, just like dad (oops). Later they
are trying to talk and Nancy interrupts, saying Miles' is on the
phone for Marlena. Marlena tells Miles she's busy and will call back,
but he's upset about the ratings and wants to talk now. Marlena tells
him she'll call him back and hangs up, much to Belle's surprise. She
never saw her mother so abrupt with anyone before. Marlena blames it
on sleep deprivation. Belle refuses to see Brady less and tells
Marlena she's wrong about him and leaves. Nancy wastes no time coming
in and telling Marlena she seems to be upsetting everyone today.
Later Nancy calls DADDY and tells him how badly she wants a radio
show. Sounds like he agrees and she takes Marlena's nameplate and
throws it in the trash can.
Belle returns to school and a picture of their family falls on the
floor. She wonders what's going wrong with them.
The Cafs
Roman and Hattie sit together with a plate of 4 donuts on the table.
She eyes them hungrily and although Roman offers her one, she is
determined to stay on her diet. Gotta love him for telling her not to
become a "walking transparency". Marlena's talk show starts and she
tells Roman how much she hates that show and Marlena's a phony. She
knows her better than Roman ever could. He starts to tell Hattie how
he met Marlena, but a customer sneaks behind the bar and turns up Dr.
Marlena again. Hattie interrupts him and yells for Faye to turn the
radio down again and proceeds to tell Roman she knows how wonderful
Marlena was and how she left her husband and children for Mr. John
Black. Roman doesn't tell her yet that HE was that husband, just
tells her it may have been more complicated than that. Hattie goes on
about how John Black is so rich and that's why Marlena liked him. She
tells Roman how she saw John Black at Tuscany and how rude he was to
the woman owner. Roman is surprised and mentions Maggie's name.
Hattie assumes that Roman knows everyone in his official capacity and
tells Roman that Marlena will be flying solo soon the way John's
acting. Roman again tries to tell her how he knows Marlena, but
Hattie goes on about Marlena. She even bets Marlena's ex husband is
glad to be rid of her. He tells her no and just about to tell her the
truth when he gets paged and has to rush off to work. He tells Hattie
they will talk later and she's worried she upset him. (Note: if she
knows so much about Marlena, isn't it strange she doesn't know the
ex's name was Roman, not a common name, and put 2+2 together.)
Stefano is sitting at the Café's counter, talking to Rolf on
the phone. He's worried that Hattie is with Roman right now. He hopes
Hattie doesn't know what's really going on and nervously sees Faye
standing in front of him, not sure what she heard. She didn't hear
and he asks about Hattie. She tells him Hattie was let go and is
happy she found a friend who cares about her (referring to Roman). He
calls Rolf back to confirm Roman and Hattie are friends and figures
Roman will go "bonkers" over her if she looks like Marlena. Marlena's
show starts and that's when Hattie yells for Faye to turn it down.
Later Stefano tries to get as much info about Hattie from Faye as he
can.
Marlena returns to the Penthouse after the radio show (doesn't she
still have patients at the hospital?) and finds John and Brady
arguing. Brady sees her at the doorway and leaves. Marlena tries to
assure John that he's a loving father and he's not responsible for
Brady's problems and unhappiness. John looks at Marlena and tells her
no, you are, as the credits roll. (Note: using different music at the
end).

The teens hit Salem Place while Sami hits both the Garden of Eden and
the ocean.
Episode #8902
Directed by Randy Robbins
Tape Date: 9/7/00
Salem Place
Belle and Chloe run into each other shopping at Salem Place.
Belle wants to know what happened with Chloe and Philip and if she
and Chloe are still friends. Chloe smiles and assures Belle is fine
and that Craig even gave her his credit card to replenish her
wardrobe again. The two happily go shopping together. Later, armed
with bags, Belle remembers something to do and splits. Philip sees
Brady and jokingly taps him and calls him loser. Brady acts insulted
and kids Philip about being a spoiled rich brat. Philip laughs and
Brady does too, asking how Grandpa Vic is doing (Isabella was
Victor's daughter). (So, Philip is not only Shawn's uncle, but
Brady's too for those trying to keep track). Philip tells him Vic and
company are in Europe on business and Brady envies Philip having the
house to himself. Brady shows Philip his football that he just bought
with John's card, but Philip sees Chloe by herself and rushes off to
see her. Chloe asks what's in his bag, but he tells her she'll find
out later. He only tells her he has to rush home to practice and to
be by her window when the sun goes down. Chloe smiles as Philip walks
away, but Brady watches from the background. He sees Chloe looking at
herself in the window, figuring she's in love with herself and plans
to go put her in her place when Philip spots him and tells him to
throw the ball, which he does, but with one eye on Chloe.
Shawn and Bo meet at Java Café where Bo tells him he's going
out of town on business. Shawn teases him about what he's going to do
and assures him he'll take care of mom and Little John. He tells Bo
he and his baby brother are tight. He figures Little John can move in
with him, his wife and kids when he's (Shawn's) in his 30's and will
be part of his life forever. Bo is proud of his son's dedication,
tells him so and leaves. Belle walks up and tells Shawn to sit, she
needs to talk with him. Belle starts ragging on Shawn about the bet,
but he wonders why after she tells him that Chloe and Philip are okay
again. She doesn't know, but asks Shawn if he wants to be Chloe's new
boyfriend. She finally tells him why she's upset and about the
problems at home with Brady and wished her parents would just leave
Brady alone.
Belle and Shawn walk by Philip and Brady playing football. They're
happy to see Brady looking happy and having fun. Chloe spots them and
wonders who the "tight end" is playing with Philip.
Brady Pub
Lexie and Isaac stop by. Caroline raves over him and Lexie tells
Caroline a casting agent gave her a business card after seeing Isaac
in the park and how she's still loving being a mom. Stefano peers in
the window, thankful Lexie doesn't know who her baby REALLY is.
Caroline asks Lexie if she's ever heard from Isaac's birth mother and
Lexie tells her no, and probably won't (gee, wonder why? Ha!)
Caroline asks to show the baby off and wheels him away. Lexie grabs
her head thinking about Marlo and Stefano walks up to her table. He
explains it was a coincidence running into them. Lexie tells him
about having to lie about Marlo again and she can't live like this.
He tells her to get past what happened to Marlo. Stefano orders her
to even lie to Isaac about the truth in the future or be prepared to
face the consequences. She questions how Marlo really died and
Stefano takes offense (oh gee, poor guy). Stefano tells Lexie he's
her father and she must learn obedience. Lexie asks if this is the
stone age and is being a DiMera mean killing people and being a
heartless monster. Stefano gets serious and tells Lexie he's her
father and will always protect her and her child. Lexie gets up and
leaves. Stefano tells himself that Lexie will become a DiMera, even
if she has to learn a few hard lessons along the way.
Caroline's walking Isaac around and Bo walks in, not even recognizing
Isaac. She asks him to hold Isaac, which Bo does. He kisses Isaac's
head and bounces him around smiling. Shawn Sr. (Pop) thinks he's
holding Little John and Bo corrects him. He lectures Bo about sharing
the responsibility of raising the baby and regrets not giving him
100% when he was a baby. He subconsciously must have known Bo wasn't
his biological son, but grew to love him as a son anyway. Caroline
wheels Isaac away as Bo and his dad talk. Pop tells him he's relieved
Bo's dropped going to Ireland to investigate Stefano and Bo corrects
him. He needs to know everything Pop can remember, but is only told
not to go again. Pop tells Bo he's using this as an excuse to run
away from his problems in Salem.
Garden Of Eden
Yes, we're back to seeing the two Salem-sickles. The dog got a clue
and ran the other direction, LOL. While frozen, they can still think
and Austin is determined not to let Greta die. She can see his heart
beating in his body (a red glow) and the ice melts off of him. He
tells the frozen Greta- sickle to remember why they're there. We see
a red spot (supposedly her heart) and the snow melts off her too.
Austin falls to his knees to thank God and Greta collapses in his
arms (oh brother) while the garden turns warm and the sky blue again.
Austin sees an envelope in the tree and opens it to read something
that they gasp at. It says they've passed the test of generosity, a
true virtue. She hugs him in appreciation, but a witch in a red dress
(?) appears, supposedly Sami (?) accusing Austin of being unfaithful
to her. Austin tells Sami she's mean and ugly and he didn't recognize
her. She spits in a leaf and a mirror appears. She blames Greta for
what happened to her and points a red beam at Greta, moving her to a
mini volcano where Greta starts melting. Austin is zapped behind a
force field and tells Greta to think positive thoughts while Sami
cackles.
Italy
(Hey, it's actually night time in Italy while it's daytime in Salem,
hallelujah!!). Lucas is hating playing a waiter and what happened to
Sami, threatening Victor and Kate (patrons at the restaurant) that
he's going to take Will back to Salem. He goes back to sweeping when
Angela sparks up a conversation with him. He learns she's planning on
living in the U.S. with her new husband, Brandon Walker. He tells her
he doubts that and she asks why. Lucas talks in U.S. slang and
accidentally blurts out he wouldn't be there if it weren't for Sami.
Oops. She asks how he knows Sami. He claims to have said salami and
she leaves in disgust. Victor compliments Kate on her beauty and she
takes advantage of his good mood and hints about their getting
married.
Brandon gets to the ledge where hysterical Sami refuses to jump.
Brandon pulls her off into the water. He swims around and finds her
unconscious. He carries her to shore and works on her to spit out
water and breathe, which she does. Apparently they're on a beach
where the sheer mountain cliff (500 ft) is the only way out. She
cries and tells him about seeing Will again and what happened.
Brandon listens but can't believe it happened. She thanks him for all
he's done for her as he tells her they will get out of there safely,
and together. She gets up and her ankle feels sprained. We see the
back of her sweater is torn and bloody as the credits roll.

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 6, 2000***
Episode #8903
Directed by Steve Wyman
Tape Date: 9/11/00
If you can get by the Garden of Eden absurdity, the rest of the show
is pretty good...as Marlena and Hattie come face to face...AND we get
our first glimpse of Melissa Reeves (aka Jennifer Rose Horton
Deveraux!). Welcome back, Missy!!!
The Garden of Eden
I will just tell you what happens and try to hold my comments on this
absurdity. Greta is sinking in the volcano as Austin encourages her
to believe in herself. She begins to rise up and Witch Sami attacks
her again. She calls Greta dull, a loser and says that she has no
chance with Austin. During all this Greta is warbling an ear
shattering scream. She starts sinking again as Austin tries to talk
her through it and prays for God to save her. Greta rises out of the
volcano and thanks Austin. They find another golden envelope with the
message "You have passed the test of fortitude". Austin tries to go
to her, but Witch Sami stops him and tries to get him to make love to
her as she licks on his chest (gross). He pushes her away as she
damns him. She starts spinning around and turns into a buzz saw,
threatening to kill him unless Greta admits that she still loves
Eric, which se does. Witch Sami makes Austin drink her brew and then
Greta has visions of Witch Sami and Austin in bed. She turns into
regular Sami as they kiss. Greta tries to get away, but vines come up
from the ground and hold her in place and makes her watch as she
yells for Austin to stop. Austin calls Sami "Carrie" which infuriates
her. Greta breaks free and magically now has a light saber (good
grief). She stabs the vision and now Witch Sami is there with her own
saber. They fight (ala Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader), with Greta
ending up with the upper hand and stabbing Witch Sami. She rushes to
Austin (who is lying on the ground) and tries to wake him up. It
turns dark and begins thundering and lightning. (Okay ENUFF of
this!)
Visions of Leprechauns Dancing in His Head
Bo is still at the pub, telling his dad that he is going to Ireland
to investigate DiMera with or without his help. Pop Shawn calls him a
true Brady - stubborn and bull headed. He tells him where to go and
who to see when he gets there. Bo tells him that he is leaving
tomorrow and takes off home. After he is gone, Pop Shawn says (to
himself) that this isn't going to work out the way Bo plans. He picks
up the phone and calls an Irish Pub. The phone is ringing as the
barmaid continues to serve drinks (we only see her from behind and
she speaks with an Irish accent). Some guy (I think the owner, named
Ian) tells her to get it. She mouths off at him but finally answers
it. She is rude to Pop Shawn (who asks for Ian) and hangs up on him.
Someone is yelling for their drink and she tells them to just hold
on. Cut to the eyes of the barmaid and it's UNDENIABLE -it's Jennifer
Rose Horton Deveraux (aka Missy Reeves!). Welcome back, Jen!
Hope is at home with Little John. She coo coo's with him and then
plays "Tonight I Celebrate My Love " (B&H's song) as he fusses.
She talks to him, telling him that his daddy will come around and
love him. She dances with the baby and later Bo arrives. He hugs her,
telling her that he loves her. Then he starts telling her about his
trip and she tries to stop him from going - at least postpone it. He
is determined and will be gone only a few days (famous last words -
remember how Sami was only going to be in Italy for a few days???).
She finally gives in, calling him pig headed and stubborn (and adds
she wouldn't have it any other way). But she warns him that he had
better not miss Little John's christening, or she will come over
there and kick his butt all the way back from Dublin. (Hey, THAT's
our Hope!)
Marlena and Hattie Come Face to Face
Marlena is at Java Café, having flashbacks of catching Brady
holding Belle over the balcony. John joins her and she tells him
about being worried about Belle's safety. This leads to round 10 of
their argument over her treatment of Brady. She, in turn bashes him
for lying to Hope. She feels that Brady is a danger to them as well
as himself and wants to get him some help. John is nasty and
sarcastic with her (nothing new there) and she goes to leave. He
grabs her telling her that he wants to help too. She pulls away and
tells him to leave her alone. She adds (for good measure) that she
can certainly see where Brady gets his temper and leaves.
Meanwhile, Hattie is jogging through Salem Place, exhausted. She
stumbles to the ground out of breath. She convinces herself to
continue. She sees Marlena and John arguing and stops to eavesdrop.
She says to herself that Marlena is showing her true colors and is
meaner than a junk yard dog. As she talks to herself, people see/hear
her and think she is crazy. She chases them off, vowing to show
everyone some day. She sees Marlena leave and follows her.
After Marlena leaves, Brady shows up, asking John what's the matter -
wife getting on your nerves? John tells him that it's none of his
business and tells him to leave him alone. Brady states that the evil
stepmother must have chewed him out really good, which really punches
John's buttons. He forces him to sit down. Brady spits out more venom
about Marlena, as John says maybe she is right and he DOES need some
professional help. Brady tells John that maybe he does have a problem
and they can call him a psycho all they want but he can't believe
that they thought he was going to hurt Belle. He gets misty as he
says that he loves his little sister and promises that he would NEVER
hurt her. He goes to leave and John says that he believes him.
Marlena strolls through Salem Place and stops at a street vendor to
buy (a purse?) for Belle. The sales clerk first tells her to wait her
turn, then tells her that purse is already sold. They get into it and
Marlena calls her rude, ill mannered and arrogant. Watching from the
background, Hattie decides that Marlena is "rotten to the core".
Marlena apologizes to the clerk and says that she is just having a
bad day. As she turns to leave, she wonders what is wrong with
herself. She senses that she is being followed and turns to Hattie
and asks her WHY is she following her?
Sami is BUSTED (literally)...and So are Victor and Kate! (I
know...bad pun) Lucas is at the restaurant, really feeling guilty
about Sami. Angela and Moroni are there discussing Brandon. Kate and
Victor are also there celebrating. Sami's demise. Moroni tells Angela
that Brandon had BETTER not hurt her or he will pay, but she tries to
assure him that Brandon loves only her. Victor tells Kate it is time
and asks her to marry him. She is thrilled by this as he tells her
that it is her strength that helped him fully recover. She asks him
when did he discover that. He tells her that while he was watching
her get dressed for the evening (Oh, my - can't you just see it?
SCHWING!! Okay, let's not even go there ;-). Kate wants to go back to
the villa for a romantic evening. Lucas comes by their table and asks
them if murder is an aphrodisiac for them. (ROFL!) He chastises them
for their actions and is sure that Brandon will find out the truth.
He gets disgusted with them and walks away.
Meanwhile, out on the beach, Sami is confuses and tells Brandon she
feels woozy, like she has been drugged. Brandon (who must have
control of the Salem brain today) deduces that she was indeed
drugged. Sami is sure that she saw Will and he concludes that Kate,
Victor, Lucas are all in Italy and using Will to drive her crazy. She
says that they have to find Will as she becomes convinced that they
are trying to kill her (nah, ya think?) Brandon hugs her and sees
blood on his hand, then informs her that she has a piece of rock in
her back. He removes it as the pain gets to her and she passes out.
He picks her up and plans on carrying her back up the cliff. Later,
he is seen carrying her saying "Don't you die on me Sami". He carries
her into the restaurant and puts her down on the floor right next to
Kate and Victor's table. As everyone watches in shock and Angela
screams. He looks straight at Kate and Victor and says "You did
this!" and
the credits roll.
