April 22-26, 1996 Updates
Mon 4-22-96 (Thur 01-27-00)
Lucas tells Carrie how much he cares for her & how he would never hurt her. They kiss & move to the bed. Austin arrives at the hotel & searches for Carrie's room. When he finds the room, Lucas answers in a robe & he sees Carrie in the bed. Kristen is concerned about Peter's reaction to the Woman's story that he wasn't the man with Jude. Peter confessed to Kristen that he was involved with Jude & that the Woman lied. Kristen confesses to Peter that she stole John's letter to Marlena in order to keep them apart. Abe, Lexie, Wendy & Jonah go out to dinner. Lexie sees Celeste & they talk. Lexie tells Celeste that she never told Abe about the flowers Stefano sent. Some champagne is sent to their table. Lexie & Celeste suspect Stefano is responsible. Celeste learns that Stefano is on his way back to Salem. Marlena tells John that she wants to leave & return to her own apartment. John doesn't want her to leave. Later, Marlena looks for a book to read & John suggests one of Kristen's books. He hands her the one where Kristen has hidden the letter. The Woman regains more memories & decides to look at her face. She lifts her veil. Kristen checks on the Woman. She sees her face & screams.
Tue 4-23-96 (Fri 01-28-00)
John & Marlena rush into the Woman's room & find Kristen has fainted. Marlena puts down the book to get Kristen some water. When Kristen comes to, she says the Woman's face was horrible. Marlena tries to look at the Woman's face but she has put her veil back on & won't take it off. Later kristen tells John that there was something beautiful in the Woman's eyes. Austin tells Lucas & Carrie that he came to Chicago to tell them that Sami & Vivian conspired to keep he & Carrie apart. Carrie wants to return to Salem straight away to sort this out. On the plane trip Carrie & Austin dream that they may be reunited & Carrie tells Austin that nothing happened between she & Lucas. Lucas worries that if Sami is exposed, he will also be exposed. Vivian calls Sami to arrange a meeting. She tells Sami that Austin has gone to Chicago & that she can help Sami keep Austin. She suggests a plan to Sami. Sami says it is too crazy for her. Sami & Viv are almost spotted by Kate & Victor. Victor goves Ivan a message that he wants to see Vivian. Viv mistakenly believes Victor is interested in her again. When he arrives, he hands Vivian divorce papers. Kate summons Sami to Titan. When Sami arrives, she is shocked to find Austin, Carrie & Lucas there. Kate tells Sami it is time she faced the people she hurt.
Wed 4-24-96 (Mon 01-31-00)
Kate accuses Sami of scheming with Vivian but Sami denies the allegations. Carrie & Austin question Sami but she rushes out. Lucas, worried that Sami may expose his role in the schemes, wants to go after her, but Austin does instead. He convinces Sami to return to answer the charges against her. Lucas tells Kate that he plans to fight for Carrie. Sami returns. She admits that Vivian did call her for help & that she visited her in prison but she denies keeping Carrie & Austin apart. Vivian is despondent that Victor gave her divorce papers. Ivan tries to lift Vivian's spirits to no avail. Victor returns and offers Vivian a fantastic job as head of Titan's European office. In return all she has to do is go to Titan & tell Carrie & Austin the truth about her schemes with Sami. Victor has a dizzy spell in front of Vivian. She is worried but he tells her it is nothing. Vivian goes to Titan. Bo & Hope go to the club where they see Jack, who is drowning his sorrrows. Jack tells them how the Woman said Peterw as not with Jude & how he believes the Woman is mistaken or lying. Hope thinks Jack may be right but Bo says there is no proof. When Peter & Jennifer also arrive at the club, Jack physically attacks peter & has to be pulled off him by Bo. Jennifer tells Jack that he must give up trying to proove Peter is a criminal & that she has resolved to stand by Peter. Hope tells Peter that she & Bo will get revenge on whoever was helping Peter. The Woman in White decides to run away so she does not cause pain for anyone. She is followed by a man (?) who reports her movements to someone else (Stefano?). Peter sees the Woman outside the club & continues to wonder whys he lied for him.
Thursday 25April96
On Thursday, Kate tries to get Sami to confess her part in breaking up Carrie and Austin. Sami puts on the performance of her life, denying Kate's accusations and playing up her role as a victim. [Boy, you need hip-waders to get through the crap she fed them! It works on everyone but Kate.] Vivian arrives a little later, still undecided about whether or not she should take Victor's bribe and blow Sami out of the water, in exchange for control over Titan's European businesses. [When confronted, Vivian supports Sami's story. Victor is disappointed, but Vivian claims to be telling the truth as he asked. Tired, Victor tells Kate he wants to go home. Austin takes Sami home, and Lucas tells Carrie that things worked out for the best. Vivian tells Ivan that while Victor's offer was tempting, one key element was missing -- Victor. She has decided to set her sights on *all* of the Titan companies. After all, Victor did say she was a shrewd businesswoman. And if she is unable to win Victor back in the process, at least she'll have the power of owning Titan. Ivan is thrilled to see Vivian excited about life again.] Hope and Bo go to a club for a fun night on the town [though they continue to argue about her job as a cop and the danger she puts herself in.] Hope goes outside for a breath of fresh air and witnesses a mugging. She goes after the mugger and shots are fired. Bo hears the noise and rushes outside. The doorman [our very own Peter Elliott, who has been posting on RATSm. Good looking guy! And he can act. I say he should replace Austin Peck] tells him that someone was shot in the alley. Bo prays it isn't Hope. [It isn't. She shot at the mugger because he reached for his gun. Hope is excited about what happened, but Bo tells her he was scared to death. He just wishes she would stop being a cop and just be his wife. Now I figured Hope could cuff Bo upside the head for that comment, but she melts when she realizes he referred to her as his wife. Does he want to marry her? Bo says that he does. Now that he finally knows how much he loves her, he wants her to be his wife (again).] Jonah runs into some buddies from pre-med, and suddenly the pain of all he has lost hits him. Lexie wishes there was something she could do. Stefano's 'shadowman' sees this and makes a mysterious call to one of Stefano's cronies. [Jonah is shocked when he receives a call from a doctor at the hospital. He informs him that they're reviewing his case again. Jonah is absolutely thrilled to think that he could be re-admitted to med school. The woman in white wanders around Salem, trying to figure out a way to get away so that no one ever finds her again. Unfortunately, she wanders near the Salem Club and Stefano's man spots her. He shoves our favorite doorman :) aside to rush after her.]
Friday 26April96
On Friday, Peter hears through the grapevine that Jack is planning to question the woman in white [that is, he overhears Jack talking to Laura about it.] He knows Jack won't give up until he finds out why she lied for Peter, which is why Peter must get to her first. [Since Peter and Jennifer and Abby are leaving for Europe soon, Peter suggests that Jack spend the day with his daughter. Jack is unable to refuse, and he and Jenn and Laura take the little twerp to the park.] Stefano's shadowman calls Peter with the news that the woman in white is missing [actually, Peter runs into this 'shadowman' and recognizes him as someone who works for Stefano. He denies it at first, but then admits that he's trying to find the woman in white.] Luckily for Peter, he catches up to her on the docks. [She was planning on stowing away on a boat to Aremid.] The woman tries to make a break for it, but Peter grabs hold of her, insisting that she tell him why she lied. [Jack, determined to get info out of the woman, pesters Jennifer about postponing their trip if he can get proof of Peter's involvement with Jude. She reiterates that he is not going to get her to doubt Peter again, until Jack spots Peter struggling with the woman. They rush over to her, but the woman takes the only way out -- she jumps into the river.] Kristen and John wake up in each other's arms. Marlena dreams of being with John, and is disturbed by her thoughts when she awakens.] Because Kristen thinks everything is great, she plans to get pregnant soon. Then she realizes John's love letter to Marlena is missing. In a panic, Kristen goes to look for it in Marlena's room. Unfortunately for Kristen, Marlena catches her. Marlena knows something is up, and demands to know why Kristen is invading her privacy. [Kristen claims to have knocked, but she didn't answer. She and John wanted to invite her to join them for breakfast, she claims. Later, as they are all about to have breakfast, Kristen says she has to make a phone call. She rushes back to Marlena's room to search for the book containing John's letter. Again, Marlena catches her. This time Kristen manages to snatch the paper from the book before she enters, and then she says she and John wanted to get Marlena a little token of their appreciation for her help with the woman in white (whom nobody has noticed is missing?!?), so Kristen was looking through Marlena's things to see what kind of gift would be appropriate. Kristen quickly exits, relieved to have found John's letter. Downstairs, John sees something in Kristen's hand and asks what it is. Upstairs, Marlena picks up the book and opens it. She finds pages of a letter to her from John. She discovers he wrote it before he was to be executed, and she sits down to read it. Hourglass..... AHHHHHHHH!]
