April 15-19, 1996 Updates
Mon 4-15-96 (Tue 01-18-00)
Kristen reads John's letter & is devastated by its content. She spends the afternoon/evening thinking about all the signs that John does love Marlena. She decides it is best never to let John know she has read the letter. As she makes this decision, John walks in. Marlena & John continue to play with the children & enjoy each other's company. They both believe it is best to keep quiet about their feelings for each other. Jen tells Peter that she will never doubt him again if the Woman says he had nothing to do with Jude. Jack tell sLaura he wants to speak with the Woman again to find out what she knows. The Woman In White begins to sort out her confused memories. She tells Marlena that she remembers things. Marlena calls Laura. Jack, Jen, Peter & Laura go over to see the Woman who starts to tell them what she remembers about the night of the arbour fire. She says she did see Peter with Jude.
Tue 4-16-96 (Wed 01-19-00)
Kristen tells John the letter she has is an old one from her mother. She then distracts John from asking questions by sleeping with him. Afterwards she hides the letter & vows not to let John go. The Woman announces she is sure Peter was the one with Jude. Peter insists of being able to question her & when he does, she seems confused & dazed. Jen is still shocked by her accusations & goe sto the pier to think about things. She talks things over with Hope. Jack & Peter argue & get into abrawl. Jen, upon returning home breaks up the fight. Marlena & Laura discuss trialling a drug on the Woman that may help restore her memory. When the Woman starts speaking of John, Stefano & Maison Blanche, they decide to trial the drug tomorrow. Bo & Hope have an argument over Hope's duties when she returns to the force. She wants to take ona dangerous assignment but Bo organises for her to take a less dangerous one. Hope storms out. After talking with Jen, Hope returns to Bo & they decide to sort their problem out.
Wed 4-17-96 (Thur 01-20-00)
Marlena & Laura give The Woman In White a drug to help her with her memories. She tells them & John & Kristen of how Stefano killed her husband & children and took her to MAison Blanche. She tol dthis toa priest, John, & Stefano brainwashed him to keep the secret. John is stunned to learn this part of his past. Kate manipulates things so that Sami & Vivian will be together. She listens in to hear what the connection between them is. However she learns nothing. LAter, she has a chance to overhear & hears Viv speak of how they have helped each other in th epast. kate is convined that Viv helped Sami keep Carrie & Austin apart. Lucas convinces Carrie that Austin has no feelings for her & the photo shoot meant nothing to him. Carrie decides not to join Austin on their business trip. Kate encourages Austin to speak with Carrie & change her mind.
Thur 4-18-96 (Mon 01-24-00)
Kate overhears Sami & Viv talking about Sami scheming to break up Carrie & Austin as well as Vivian helping Sami but none of the details. She confronts them & tells Sami she is going to tell Austin & carrie what she did. Sami runs away crying. Kate says she is also going to tell victor & Vivian wonders how she will get out of this mess. Austin tries to talk Carrie out of taking a trip with Lucas. Carrie wants Austin to say he is against the idea because he (Austin) has feelings for her but Austin believes Carrie does have feelings for Lucas so he says nothing of how he feels. Lucas takes Carrie away not realising thats he is dreaming of Austin. Laura helps the Woman rest before calling Jack, Jen & Peter about the news of the Woman's breakthrough with memories of the past. Jack is excited that the Woman is remembering & tells Alice he hoped Jen will break things off with Peter when she learns of his connection to Jude. Jen tells Laura & Alice that she will believe the Woman if she is lucid & accuses Peter. Peter worries that the Woman will destoy his happiness so goes to her room with a syringe. Just as he is about to inject her she stirs in her sleep & sings a tune that has a strange effect on Peter. Later, just as Laura is about give the Woman an injection of the drug, Peter has a chance to switch syringes but cannot do it. They all watch as Laura gives the Woman the injection that will help return her memories.
Friday 19April96
On Friday, while amid the influence of the drug Laura gave her, the woman in white recalls more of her background. This time she remembers the distant past of her family, and the tragic loss of her children and husband. She also sees Peter and Jude together, but when it comes time to point the finger, she hesitates. [Peter is certain his marriage to Jennifer is over. He knows she saw him with Jude.] Peter, Jennifer, and Jack wait with baited breath for the woman to continue. [For some strange reason, she says she doesn't know who the other man with Jude was. She then has horrible visions of Stefano, and asks to go to her room and rest. Once there, she can't sleep. She approaches the mirror and begins to lift up her veil. Elsewhere, Stefano plots his next move. He tells his assistant to fetch him all of the files regarding Aremid, even though he's been through them thousands of times before. If this woman is who he thinks she is, her identity will have disastrous consequences. Since the woman did not identify Peter, Jennifer apologizes to him for doubting him. Jack is upset because this was his only chance to get Peter away from Jennifer.] Lucas and Carrie fly to Chicago for a romantic getaway. Lucas is determined to make Carrie forget Austin, but that is a lot easier said than done [all she does is dream about Austin. Though Lucas says he will not pressure Carrie into a physical relationship (they arrange for seperate rooms), it's clear that Lucas wants more than kisses from Carrie as he arranges a romantic dinner for them.] Kate tells Austin the details of the conversation she heard between Vivian and Sami. Austin can hardly believe it, but there's no time to ask questions, not when he has to go to Chicago to stop Carrie from making a big mistake with Lucas. [To hell with that business trip, eh? Sami sobs as she realizes her life with Austin is ruined. To make matters worse, Kate finds her and informs her that she told Austin everything, so she might as well get her things out of his apartment, because he won't want her there anymore.]
