April 1-5, 1996 Updates
Mon 4-1-96
(Thursday 12-2-99)
Ivan tells Vivian that he has seen Stefano in the hotel & they worry about the dangerous criminal on the loose. Rudolf returns to Vivian's room & Ivan passes out when he sees him. Rudolfo tells Vivian that he is Stefano. Vivian is aghast and tell shim to leave & that she & Ivan will keep quiet about seeing him. Stefano announces that he never leaves behind witnesses. Bo & Hope's party continues. Bo becomes frustrated that he cannot be alone with Hope. Kate & Victor arrive at the party. Caroline talks to Kate about Carrie & Austin. Sami contrives things so that Austin walks in on her while getting dressed. Later she offers to give Austin a massage to relieve his tension. They learn of Hope's return & go to the Horton's for the party. Carrie & Lucas spend time in the hot tub & return to Carrie's room. They begin to kiss when Kate calls to tell of Hope's return. They return to Salem and go to the party. Kate watches Sami's reaction when Carrie arrives. Sami asks Austin to take her home as she is tired. Alice & Victor help Bo & Hope leave so they can be alone together.

Stefano locks Vivian & Ivan in the bedroom while he tries to find a way out of Salem. He calls Celeste for help but she is being questioned by John & Abe. John guesses that it is Stefano on the phone & talks to him while Abe traces the call. Stefano hangs up before the trace can be made. Celeste tells Abe that she wants to change for Lexie's sake. Marlena apologizes to Kristen for John's rushing off to find Stefano. Marlena talks to the Woman In White who is convinced Stefano is coming. Stefano arrives at the DiMera's to talk with Kristen. At first Kristen will not speak with him but he is insistent. He tells her that John still loves Marlena & that eventually Marlena will come between them. He urges her to get regnant to keep John. He says that he is taking Marlena with him & it is in her best interests to do nothing to stop him. Bo takes Hope back to the boat. She reads some notes he made about the memorial service. He apologizes for temporarily giving up on her but she is thankful that he never did totally give up.

Stefano goes upstairs and gets Marlena. As he comes down, Kristen is horrified that Stefano has gone through with his plan. He tells her to say nothing & they both will be happy. The Woman In White sees Stefano & screams, waking Marlena. Kristen then sounds the alarm & fights with Stefano. When John & Abe arrive, Marlena tells them that Kristen saved her. Marlena thanks Kristen for saving her life but Kristen does not want to hear it. She starts to tell Marlena that it is her fault when the Woman interrupts. She says she remembers her past. Vivian & Ivan frantically pack, planning on leaving Salem to get away from Stefano. As they drive away, they discover Stefano is stowed away in the back of the car. Vivian begs for him to let them leave but he tells her that they are already too involved. John & Abe talk to a hotel employee who saw Stefano get into a fancy car. Sami & Austin see Lucas & Carrie kissing. Sami fantasizes about being with Austin. Carrie & Austin each get to thinking about New Years when they were supposed to meet on the roof. They both go to the roof but don't see each other. Lucas tells Kate that he loves Carrie & is upset when he realizes she wants Austin to reunite with Carrie. Kate tells Victor that she suspects Sami schemed to break up Austin & Carrie. She swears to do all in her power to find out & reunite them.
Thursday 4-4-96

Peter & Jenn tell Jack & Laura their plans to go on an extended honeymoon. Jack is furious and makes accusations against Peter. Laura tries to soothe Jack and encourages him to forget his plans to prove Peter a criminal. The Woman In White is still anxious about t. Jack tells Laura that he is determined to find out the truth from the Woman. Jenn arrives home and announces she is going to trust her husband. Peter is relieved but Jack does not lose faith that the Woman will reveal the truth. Marlena is about to open John's letter when the Woman cries out from a nightmare. John helps her pick up her dropped letters but does not see his letter. When Kristen arrives home, Marlena watches her & John kiss and is heartbroken. Kate & Victor invite Lucas, Carrie, Sami & Austin for dinner. Kate proposes a project for Carrie & Austin to work on & they both agree. Carrie tells Austin they can put their personal problems aside for work. Sami overhears Kate tell Victor that she suspects Sami is responsible for keeping Carrie & Austin apart. Sami tells Kate she wants to try & reunite them. Kate believes she may be wrong about Sami. Sami gets a phone call that upsets her. Henderson tells Kate he believes the call was from Vivian.

Bo & Hope spend the the morning together on Smith Island reminiscing about the past. They go to the Horton cabin & begin to make love.
The Woman In White tells Marlena, Kristen & John that she remembers seeing Jude talking to Peter. Kristen rings Peter to tell him. Peter & Jenn go to the DiMera's & Jack & Laura follow. The Woman becomes nervous & will not talk about it anymore. Peter claims the Woman is crazy & leaves. Jack wants to talk to the Woman more, but John dissuades him. Peter assures Jenn he had nothing to do with Jude & continues to make plans for their extended honeymoon.
Marlena tells Laura that it is breaking her heart seeing John with Kristen. She realizes that with Stefano gone, she can move out of the DiMera house. She plans on telling John. She learns he is in the wine cellar. Kristen goes to the cellar to have a romantic rendezvous with John.
