Victor comes to see Vivian regarding the gala for Kate. After he leaves Vivian tells Ivan that this is the way to secure a happy life with Victor. Ivan hopes she succeeds. She is sure nothing will separate them again.

The captain comes to see Kate and tells her not to escape and that it will be two years before the next port. He offers her a better life with him and it is her choice.

Alice tells Bo she believes Hope is alive and to have faith. She asks Bo to go with her somewhere.

Hope is still trying to escape but is very weak.

Jack takes the phone off Jennifer and asks if he can be of help to Jude. Jude wants to get money from his account. He gives Jack his safety deposit number, which is the same as the numbers on the match box. Jack asks for Jude's name and phone number because he needs to track the full account. 

Vivian is deciding on the catering menu. She is determined to raise the money and wants a statue built of Kate. Ivan has found his cousin, Uri, to sculpt it. Vivian asks to see Uri.

Kate tells the captain she will accept his offer of being his woman. She insists on the relationship being romantic. He gets some whiskey to toast their relationship.

 Jack tries to get Jude to tell him where he is. He asks again for Jude's name and the name of the account holder. By this time Mr Billings is listening in the background. Jude hangs up. Jennifer and Jack realise that Jude hasn't drawn out money from the account before and the account is in someone else's name. Jack is going to try and trace the call. Jude is angry because he lost the match box and leaves the cabin to return to Hope.

 Hope is still struggling with the ropes.

 Alice takes Bo to church and tells him that God can help him. Bo prays and asks for God's help. He asks God to take care of Hope.

 Hope looks for something to cut the ropes with but she manages to untie the ropes and grabs her coat and shoes and runs off. Jude is on his way back to the cabin.

 Vivian meets cousin Uri. They discuss the picture of Kate. Uri decides on a tree with a face and feet. Vivian is delighted, she turns away and Uri pinches her bottom.

 The captain is singing to Kate while she is plying him with whiskey. He passes out and Kate takes off.

Jude arrives back in the cabin and finds Hope gone. He is really angry and goes looking for Hope. Meanwhile, she has collapsed in the snow.

 Bo is still in the church praying and saying he feels Hope is alive and talking to him. He wants to know where Hope is and what to do. 

Hope struggles up and wanders off.

Jack tells Jennifer that he couldn't track Jude. She asks "why don't you contact Abe?" but Jack doesn't want Peter knowing and Jennifer asks why not? Jacks tells her that the lady he spoke to from the DA's office had spoken to Abe and that the judge had found John guilty and given him the death penalty. Jennifer believes Uncle Mickey will appeal. They decide to try and get on the computer to find the account information. Jack goes off to find it.

 Alice believes that God will help, though Bo doesn't understand why God would do this to Shawn-D. Alice asks if God has sent a sign. Bo tells her about the bird. Bo is not sure the bird is a good sign.

 Jude is still searching for Hope.

  Ivan bursts into Vivian's office to find Uri chasing Vivian around the desk. Ivan apologises for Uri's behaviour but Vivian still wants him to do the statue. Uri eventually leaves and Ivan keeps apologising. Vivian is pleased that the design will be ugly. Victor comes in and asks what they are talking about - she says it is a surprise. Victor leaves and Vivian and Ivan discuss Kate being dead.

Kate comes on deck of the boat and unties the life raft.

Alice is lighting candles in the church and asks God to show Bo a sign that Hope is still alive. Bo is at Hope's original grave site talking to her. (He hadn't gotten around to removing it after Hope was found alive). He puts a rose on her grave and asks God what to do and where she is. He turns to leave and turns back to the grave again and sees the bird is sitting there.

 Jude has found Hope and drags her back into the cabin. Hope collapses on the floor.

 Jack is talking to one of the female bankers about using the computer. He asks her to teach him the basics and she agrees. Mr Billings catches Jack and tells him off. Jacks explains that he is excited to be there and wanted to learn about the computer but Mr Billings tells him that the day is over. He then issues room keys to the trainees saying they must all stay in the same hotel. Jack and Jennifer agree to stay together for the sake of John.

 Kate asks God to protect her and she climbs overboard and jumps, but she curses Vivian.

 Vivian and Victor are having a drink at work, they kiss and end up knocking over one of the drinks onto Kate's photo. Vivian gets a cold chill and stares at Kate's photo.

Bo walks towards the bird and kneels in the snow. He asks God if this means that Hope is with him. He starts crying and says goodbye to Hope. He gets up and leaves.

 Jude puts Hope in to the bed and tries to wake her up but he realises she has a fever again and he thinks she is dying.

Tuesday 13 Feb 1996

Carrie is called to an urgent meeting at Titan. There is a bunch of her favourite flowers there. Lucas comes in and said the flowers are from him. He starts to talk about the kiss they shared the other night when Austin walks in. Victor comes in and tells them the meeting is about Kate.

 Kate is in the life raft congratulating herself on being free and finally going home to see her family. 

Stefano is reading Tony's entry about being ill and his plan to frame John for his murder. Celeste comes in and they discuss Tony. Celeste is against Tony's revenge against John.

 At court the judge opens the court of appeal when Kristen walks in to announce that she has something to say.

 Everyone sits down at the meeting at Titan. Sami arrives to see Austin and Vivian invites her stay. Vivian announces the plans for the gala in Kate's memory. Victor is moved by her speech and adjourns the meeting. Austin and Carrie stare at each other again.

Kate is trying to stay focused on getting home.

Kristen tells the judge that she was wrong and believes John to be innocent and of how he wouldn't try to escape from jail because he believed so strongly in being found innocent. She begs the judge to reconsider the verdict of the death penalty. John gazes at her when she sits down.

At her office, Victor thanks Vivian again for what she is trying to do for Kate's memory and remarks how much she has changed - he leaves. Ivan comes in with Uri's sketches of Kate. Vivian doesn't like them.

Stefano is still reading the diary and admires what Tony has done and thinks he was right to set up John.

The court is adjourned and John is given papers to sign. Marlena offers her support again. Kristen is given Tony's personal belongings and amongst them is the pen. Lexi tells Kristen she has to sign forms for Tony's things and Kristen leaves the things on the table and goes off. John looks for a pen, sees Tony's and comments that it belonged to Tony.

At Titan Jonah is going on at Austin about not talking to Carrie while Austin is adamant that Carrie is with Lucas now. Sami is listening in the hallway as Jonah tells Austin he will regret not being with the woman he loves.

Stefano and Celeste are going on about Tony's setting up John. Stefano is sure that John won't find out and they discuss the pen being the remote control for the firing device.

 John is unable to use the pen and uses Mickey's. John and Marlena discuss the pen and John points out that the pen didn't have an ink cartridge. Kristen comes up and takes Tony's pen and the other things. John goes and thanks her for what she said to the judge. John and Marlena then leave so he can ring the folks in Salem.

 Jonah tells Austin to talk to Carrie and wishes him good luck then leaves to go to work. Carrie comes out into the hallway and they stare at each other, Sami interrupts them and the phone rings. Marie picks it up and tells Carrie it is John. John tells her the verdict. Carrie is shocked and upset. John tells her to pray. Sami take the phone off Carrie as Carrie rushes off.

 The judge goes to Stefano who is delighted with the verdict and asks if the appeal will be granted. Stefano says "if only I had a friend on the appeals court". Kristen comes in and asks why the judge is there.

 John finishes talking to Victor on the phone. He tells Marlena that the girls are upset, Marlena promises to ring them later. She is also being her usual supportive self. They hug and Marlena goes on about the Woman in White. Lexi tells Marlena to go to the Parrot Man. John eventually agrees and tells her to be careful. She leaves and John is taken back to his cell.

 Vivian is upset because the sketches are too good.

Kate is still paddling but manages to lose an oar.

 Stefano tells Kristen the judge was looking for Peter. Kristen asks the judge to consider what she had said and he leaves. Stefano asks Kristen what she said in court and she tells him that she told the court that she believed in John. They are interrupted by a maid who has a package for Kristen. She opens it.

Lexi introduces Marlena to Logan Michaels (the Parrot Man). Marlena asks him for help in finding the Woman in White. She begs for his help.

 Carrie tells Austin the verdict and he hugs Carrie. Sami spots them and goes in all forlorn and asks Austin to hold her, which he does. Lucas rushes in and hugs Carrie. Sami says how guilty she feels about being mean to John over the affair with Marlena. Vivian and Victor come in and say they will do everything they can to help John. Victor tells them that they will continue organising the gala because that is what John wants them to do. He then tells Carrie and Austin that they have to work long hours together on the gala.

 Kristen pulls out a Victrola (an old gramophone). Her and John had seen it in a shop and she breaks down. Stefano tells Kristen to go to John but she says that he has got Marlena but Stefano pressures her to go. She walks out of the room, upset.

Marlena tells Logan that the Woman in White is trying to help John and asks where the lady is. Logan decides to help and draws a map for Marlena.

 Victor, Vivian, Lucas, Carrie, Sami and Austin are discussing the details of the gala and Victor comments again that he can't believe Kate has really gone.

 John is in his cell when he hears music - it is a song that he and Kristen used to love. Kristen comes in with the Victrola and tells John she had bought it for him for Valentines Day. She declared her love and says she is here now for him. They hold hands.

 Marlena is wandering around in the snow trying to locate the Woman in White but can't find the entrance to the secret place. She goes to leave but falls.

Wednesday 14 February 1996

At Titan Victor comments about Kate being gone, again. Ivan comes to the doorway and Vivian leaves the room to talk to him. She laments to Ivan about how everyone is acting like Kate died recently and not a year ago. She reminds Ivan the point of the gala is to put Kate in her place - gone! 

Kate is still struggling to get home and the sea is getting rough.

John breaks the hand hold from Kristen and is still shocked about being convicted and ponders about a conspiracy against him - but who would do that?

Celeste and Stefano are again arguing about John but Stefano wants Marlena to himself and believes it will happen when John is gone.

John tells Kristen that he has gone over the whole thing piece by piece and knows the clue is out there. Kristen says that Mickey and Abe are doing everything they can to help but John feels helpless being in the cell.

Kristen offers to help him and leaves.

Celeste tells Stefano that no good will come of allowing John to die. Stefano says he wants Marlena and "what must be done, will be done". He goes to a drawer and gets a pearl necklace which he is going to give to Marlena. Celeste comments that Marlena refused to accept it but Stefano is sure she will eventually. Celeste ask him "if John dies and Marlena still does not want to be with you, what then?" Stefano is convinced he and

Marlena are destined to be together.

The Woman in White finds Marlena lying on the ground.

Back at Titan, Vivian is upset talking about the gala - Victor urges her to continue - and she says that the goal is to reach $1,000,000. Victor assigns Austin to work with Carrie and Sami says she will help too but Austin tells her to take Will for his Doctor's appointment, Sami tries to get out of it but he insists so she leaves. Everyone goes. Lucas calls after Sami who comments about Vivian being over the top about her tears for Kate. Lucas believes that she was sincere and Sami told him to get real. Lucas tells Sami she is sore because Austin and Carrie have to work together but not to worry about them.

 Vivian asks Ivan about the new sketches and Ivan informs her they are on their way. Victor, Austin and Carrie come back in and Vivian and Ivan leave. They start going through photos of Kate and Victor points out his favourite one. It is of Kate with Austin and Carrie. Victor tells them how fond Kate was of the two of them and wanted them to get back together - it was her dream for the two of them. Victor leaves to start calling people and wishes them Happy Valentines Day. Austin and Carrie start to work while gazing at each other.

 The sea is getting rough and Kate is telling herself to hold on and survive the oncoming storm.

 John is in the cell when Mickey comes in. There is no news about the appeal. John tells Mickey what a great lawyer and man he is and how grateful he is to him. Mickey says there is not much more he can do and goes to make phone calls and check sources. John plays the Victrola - he goes to turn it off but Kristen tells him not to. She brings a picnic basket and wine to help escape and forget everything. John isn't sure but Kristen begs him to let her do it. John says he'll try. They start dancing.

 Marlena comes around and wonders where she is. She gets up and continues looking for the Woman in White, who is watching her.

 Vivian and Ivan are looking at the new sketches of Kate and Ivan remarks how unglamourous they are but Vivian is delighted with them. He asks her how she can do this to Kate and disgrace her memory that way. Victor interrupts them and invites Vivian out for a Valentine's Day dinner, just the two of them. Vivian accepts and Victor leaves. Vivian tells Ivan that Victor is her passion and she is going to have him no matter what. Ivan asks if she has to use Kate and Vivian replies that Kate is past rivalry and won't begrudge her any happiness.

Kate is in the storm cursing Vivian.

Celeste asks Stefano what he is doing. He replies he is going to take Marlena to a property which is very private and beautiful but the house needs to be redesigned into the perfect place for Marlena. Celeste laughs and tells him he is living a life of illusions. Stefano is sure she will be with him but Celeste says Marlena cares for the new Stefano and he is not that any more. He comments that Marlena will never know.

 Marlena sees the Woman in White and runs after her and catches her. She wants to know how to help John. The Woman in White tells her she can't help and Marlena wants to know why and who would ever hurt her.

 At Titan, Lucas is looking in through the door window at Austin and Carrie working. Sami comes up and catches him. Lucas enquires why she didn't take Will to the Doctor's, Sami replies that her grandmother took him instead. Lucas and Sami start to discuss how close Austin and Carrie are working. But Lucas is confident that he is getting closer to Carrie. He tells Sami to stop torturing herself and then takes her to show her his new office.

 Austin and Carrie are looking through the photos when Austin finds a photos of them together on a previous Valentine's Day. They just gaze at each other.

 Victor comes and picks up Vivian, who is looking stunning. They discuss that fate is bringing them together.

 Kate is knocked out of her life raft.

 Marlena tells the Woman in White that John will be executed and she needs to know where the proof is to free John. But the Woman in White is too scared and tells Marlena she is afraid that "he'll hurt me". Marlena promises the Woman in White that she will help her and take on anyone who tries to hurt her. The Woman in White tells her that he will hurt her like she was hurt. Marlena asks if she knows him and then after some protesting the Woman in White cries, "Stefano".

 Carrie tells Austin that she was never happier than when she was with him and in spite of everything she still loves him more than anything and that she wants him back. She swears it and they start kissing.

 Back at the jail, John and Kristen are still dancing. Kristen tells John that if he closes his eyes he will be somewhere safe where it is just the two of them and nothing else.

Marlena is shocked and asks how the Woman in White knows Stefano. The Woman in White tells her that Stefano is evil, Marlena protests that he was evil but he lost his memory. But the Woman in White tells her that Stefano lied to her and that he knows and to ask him. Marlena says that she must be wrong and confused but the Woman in White tells her that she is the one confused and that Stefano is evil. Marlena can't believe it - the Woman in White runs off.

 Victor and Vivian come back to the office from dinner and they share a bottle of rare vintage champagne. Victor makes a romantic toast to Vivian and she returns one about their future together.

 Stefano is still discussing the design of the house. Celeste tells him that Marlena would never be his lover and he replies that she is wrong. Marlena comes into the hallway and listens at the door. Celeste and Stefano are still discussing things when Marlena realises that he has regained his memory and she leaves.

 John and Kristen are finishing a meal, though Kristen didn't touch hers. She goes on about being sorry and that she believes he is innocent with her heart and soul and that she really means it. John says they are going to put all their energies into hopes and prayers. Mickey comes in to tell them the appellant court has made its decision.

Carrie and Austin are still kissing. They tell each other that they love one another and want to start again and they will make it work. Carrie asks Austin if there is something on his mind, Austin replies that there is but is interrupted when Lucas comes in and reminds Carrie they have dinner plans so Austin asks Sami (who just come in also) if she wants to go shopping for a dress for the gala - Sami says yes and they leave. Carrie picks up the photo again but Lucas comes over and takes it out of her hand and hugs her.

 Vivian and Victor talk about Kate's memory. Victor tells her how hard it has been for him since Kate dies but thanks to Vivian he will get through it. They begin to talk about their relationship and the future ...

 Thursday 15 February 1996

Deke came to see Peter and they discuss the whereabouts of Jude.

 At the hotel Jennifer is in the bed and Jack is on the couch. She gets up to take a shower and Jack wakes up. He sees Jennifer gone and assumes that she is at breakfast so he walks into the bathroom to see Jennifer getting undressed.

Bo is dreaming about being in bed with Hope. He wakes and comments how alive she seems and that he can't let her go.

Hope is at the cabin calling out for Bo. Her fever is worse and Jude is worries she will die.

Jennifer and Jack come out of the bathroom arguing about Jack walking in on her. They then start to talk about the account again and Jack says they don't have much time. He then comments on how quick the judge made up his mind and wondered if Peter didn't pressure him at all. Jennifer asks if he thinks Peter threatened the judge but Jack says no and comments on how slow trials usually are but this one has been very quick. Jennifer is sure the Court of Appeal will consider the new evidence and Jack says he hope she is ready for what they may find. She tells Jack to relax and that it is not Peter. They continue arguing about Peter but Jack tells her that he doesn't want her hurt again. She goes into the shower.

Deke tells Peter that the police investigation into the Blue Moon is over. Peter is pleased that Jennifer won't find out about him and Jude and that Jack will have to give up.

Shawn and Caroline come to see Bo. They can see that Bo isn't okay and Shawn wants Bo to talk about Hope. Bo says it won't bring her back and Caroline agrees but it might make him accept that she's gone and Bo admits that he can't do that. He tells them that he can't get her out of his mind. Bo decides to go back to work.

Hope is still calling out for Bo and Jude is worried so he tells her that he'll be back soon with help for her.

Shawn and Caroline tell Bo that he shouldn't be going back to work so soon. Bo tells them that he and Shawn-D need to get their lives back together - Shawn-D has gone back to school and he will go back to work. Caroline tells him she loves him. They hug and he leaves but his parents are very worried.

Shawn says "as Roman used to say, a cop with nothing to live for is as good as dead". They wonder how they can help Bo and Caroline gets on the phone.

 Hope is delirious and dreaming about being with Bo and how he didn't give up on her. She continues to call out for him to help her. Meanwhile, Jude goes back to the cabin he stole food from and sees it is still empty. He starts searching for medicine and finds some aspirin. A boy comes into the cabin and asks who he is.

 Jennifer asks Jack to go to breakfast with her. Jack tells her that he is flat broke because he has spent all his money on the investigation, his credit cards were used to buy the plane tickets. Jennifer comments that he has spent every cent he owns helping someone he doesn't know that well - why?

Bo goes into the office, Hal, a colleague, comes in and says he's sorry about Hope and that she was liked and will be missed. Bo asks if there is anything going down. Hal tells him that the new cases are on the desk and to help himself - he leaves. Bo starts going through the files when Laura comes in to see how he's doing and that she wants to help. Bo says he doesn't want any so Laura pulls rank as Police Psychiatrist and says they will talk professionally.

Hope comes to and sees she is in the cabin and tries to get away with no luck. Back at the other cabin, the boy shouts to his father that someone is there and Jude takes off.

Jennifer asks why Jack has given up so much for John. Jack says that he hasn't given up much - John has been the one that has been unjustly accused and convicted of murder and will be executed unless somebody comes up with evidence. He says that he couldn't live with himself if he gave up.

Jennifer says that maybe he has really changed. Jack shrugs it off and tells her to go and have breakfast, she offers to pay for the plane ticket but Jack says he'll eventually get reimbursed by the station, so she offers to buy him breakfast and he agrees, they leave.

Someone comes to Peter's door and Deke hides in the other room. It is Wyatt Jansen - he introduces himself to Peter and tells him that he and his family are staying in the mountains and holds up a flyer of Jude and says he knows where Jude is.

Laura tells Bo that his parents are concerned and think it is far too soon for him to be on active duty. Bo replies that parents worry and that's what they should do and Laura should know better. She tells him that she will check him out, Bo says she has done that but she replies that there is more to it than that and doesn't think Bo is ready emotionally. Bo insists he needs work to stop thinking about Hope but Laura says as a cop that he can put him and everyone else he works with at risk. Bo says he is aware of it and will pull himself off a case if it gets to be too much - the last thing he wants to do is make Shawn-D an orphan. He insists work will keep him sane. Laura agrees but there are two conditions: 1. Work load must be light with no double shifts. 2. He must check in with her regularly. Bo agrees and she leaves. He then finds a case that is extremely dangerous and decides to handle it.

Jack and Jennifer are at the bank before classes start and the teller that

Jack was talking to about the computers, waves out to him. Jack is worried that she might find out that he is "married" and have nothing to do with him. He goes to see her. Mr Billings comes in and calls the trainees together. Jack says he is able to get on the tellers computer. Mr Billings interrupts them and tells them to go to class - Jennifer says that Mr Billings could be a problem and Jack says they need a way to distract him and will think of something.

Peter asks Mr Jansen what makes him think he knows where Jude is. Mr Jansen replies that his son saw him at their cabin less than an hour ago and that they left straight away. He mentioned that the guys at the pub suggested he go and see Peter. He tells Peter that his son saw Jude in the cabin and even though he personally didn't see Jude, his son is positive that it was Jude. They go inside the cabin and Peter pretends to take down the details of what happened. He asks the father if his son is prone to telling lies and tries to make it look like the boy wanted to go back and tell his classmates a story. Mr Jansen tells Peter that the cabin had been broken into the day before and food was taken but this time only a bottle of aspirin. Peter tries to down play the incident and say that it couldn't have been Jude. Mr Jansen asks if he is calling his son a liar and Peter insists he isn't. Mr Jansen wants it checked out and Peter assures him that he will do that. Mr Jansen then leaves and Deke comes out and asks Peter if he thinks the boy saw Jude.

Jude returns to the cabin and gives some aspirin to Hope. He covers her over and is worried that she will die because he will be nailed for her death and Tony's and then he comments that he has no money.

Jack and Jennifer come out of class and they meed Shannon, who invites Jack to lunch but he replies that he only has a short lunch break and she asks what about after class? He says he will let her know - Shannon leaves. Mr Billings comes out and sits at the desk in the bank. Jack realises that he will be unable to get to Shannon's computer and Jennifer says he had better come up with a plan. They bicker about who was supposed to have a plan, then Jennifer decides she will make it but has to make a phone call first.

Peter can't understand why Jude hasn't gone. The phone rings and it is Jennifer. She tells him that the opening of the clinic went well and that she wants to tell him something when she gets back. Peter asks if anything is wrong but Jennifer says no and hangs up. Peter tries to call out but it is too late. He wanted to know where she was. Peter says to Deke that he is glad she isn't around in case Jude is still hanging around Aremid.

 Laura goes to the boat and sees Shawn and Caroline. They discuss Bo but Laura reassures them that Bo has promised to have a light case load. Shawn disagrees and says Bo will do what he wants.

 Bo picks out his assignment and Hal comes to say that it is a really bad assignment but Bo says that's what he wants. Hal says that as Bo doesn't have a partner any more he would back him up. Bo agrees and Hal leaves to get a car. Another police officer comes in with Hope's things from her locker. He goes through her things and finds some photos of him and Shawn-D - the officer comments how much Hope loved them and Bo says he loved her.

 Hope comes around and Jude is still looking after her. He tells her that he got her out of the snow and not Bo. She comments that Jude hates her so why does he help her. Jude says he wants to pay her back for what she did to him. She asks for his help and not to let her die.

 Pete and Deke discuss the whereabouts of Jennifer. Deke says that the phones at the Blue Moon have a call tracing feature and can find the number of the last person who called and asks if Peter has it. Peter dials a number and gets the number and asks the operator of the area location from the last phone call. He finds out that it was from a pay phone at the Cayman Islands. Deke says "talk about a co-incidence". Peter believes that Jack is behind them being there and he has to figure out a way to stop them.

Jennifer and Jack comment that Shannon hasn't left for lunch yet. Jack asks if she had spoken to her grandmother, she says that she spoke to Peter but told him nothing yet but feels Peter should know. Shannon leaves for lunch and Jennifer goes over to Mr Billings to distract him. Jack goes over to her computer.

Friday 16 February 1996

John is in his cell when Marlena comes in. He tells her that the appeal has failed and that he has to be realistic and unless a miracle happens he will be executed that night.

Stefano comments to Celeste "that this time tomorrow John Black will be dead". Stefano goes on again about the set up and how brilliant Tony was and how vulnerable Marlena will be when John has gone. Kristen comes in and asks what he said about John. Stefano replies that he had heard that the appeal had been turned down and that they are in shock. He hugs Kristen and looks at Celeste, who turns away in disgust.

 Jack is at the computer trying to figure out how to work the system.

Peter knows that Jennifer would never forgive him if she found out his name is on the account. Deke tells him he is jumping to conclusions and that she is there at the opening of the clinic in memory of her grandfather and would she lie to him? Peter doesn't think so but maybe she didn't tell him the whole truth. He is also wondering where Jack is and if anyone can convince Jennifer to go looking for Jude it would be him. Deke asks how they would know about the bank account. Peter thinks maybe Jude said something to either Jennifer or Jack. Deke tells him that the accounts are strictly confidential so they wouldn't know about it but Peter says that Jennifer is extremely smart and if she is trying to save John and there is a way to access the files, she'll find it and anyway, Jack will do anything to bring him down. Deke comments that it is a pity he can't make the files disappear. Peter says that he has just figured out a way to stop them.

 Jack is saying that this system is different from any that he has worked on and signals to Jennifer to keep distracting Mr Billings. Jennifer asks Mr Billings questions but he tells her that he had explained everything quite clearly and that they should be on a break and asks where Jack is but Jennifer asks him to explain things one more time and Mr Billings agrees. Jack continues working at the computer. 

John says "this could be my last day on earth" and that he is not afraid to die. Marlena says that he is not going to die and cannot believe that God would let something like this happen to a good man like him. Mickey comes in and tells them he is off to see the Governor but John in not hopeful. Mickey leaves. John is worried about Belle and Brady but Marlena tells him not to give up and that there is something that just may save him.

 Jack is still trying to find the information and gets into the account area. Jennifer is still trying to distract Mr Billings. Jack keys in the information and is waiting while Mr Billings has answered enough questions. Jennifer drops all the papers that she was holding and he helped her to pick them up.

 Peter is working on a plan to stop Jack and Jennifer finding out the account information because his life with Jennifer is on the line and she is worth any risk.

 John asks Marlena what she knows. Marlena tells him that she has spoken to the Woman in White but she is afraid of Stefano. John asks how the Woman in White knows Stefano but Marlena doesn't know except that Stefano had hurt her somehow but she also told her that Stefano has his memory back and that Marlena should ask Stefano for help, but then the Woman in White got scared and took off. Marlena continues to tell John that she overheard Stefano talking to Celeste and that it sounded like he had his memory back and if the Woman in White is right, that there is evidence in that house and then John could be freed. John is stunned.

Stefano tells Kristen that she needs to go to John to be with him and that she has to be strong for him. Kristen thanks Stefano for being so understanding. Stefano tells her that he will always be there for her. Kristen leaves and Celeste returns. She accuses Stefano of using Kristen to come between Marlena and John and asks him again how he can let John die. Stefano says "I do what I have to do". Celeste says that she will do what she has to do and go to the Police about the diary. Celeste is adamant that she will not let John die. Stefano threatens her that she will lose who she loves the most and he leaves. Celeste says "Alexandra".

 Jack is still looking for the account and Mr Billings looks at his watch and says break is over. Jennifer asks him to help her organise the papers again. Jack finds out that he needs a code to access the accounts.

 Peter has organised for a computer guy (nameless at this stage) to access the bank account in the Cayman Islands. The guy sets up his laptop and modem and says he will try to get to the account and erase Peter's name from it.

 John doesn't believe that Stefano is involved in Tony's murder. Marlena agrees and John says there was no motive for him to kill Tony. Marlena says she will go to see Stefano but John doesn't want her to because Stefano is not going to admit to her that he has his memory back and that he has been obsessed with her. Marlena says that time is running out and she is going to see Stefano. John agrees but tells her to leave at the sign of any danger. He also asks her to keep it from Kristen and Marlena promises she will find the evidence if it is there. John tells her to be careful and Marlena leaves.

 Celeste is in the room when Stefano comes and asks her if she has thought of the consequences of trying to save John. She says that John is innocent but Stefano believes that John should pay for stealing Kristen away from Tony. Celeste says that it was all Tony's idea but Stefano threatens her and says that he will have Marlena "one way or another".

 Marlena goes to see Stefano. They discuss John's appeal and she is watching him closely. Stefano offers to help her and he invites her to dinner, she doesn't reply so he asks her if anything is wrong.

 Kristen goes to see John, she tells him they need to be together. John tells her that Mickey has gone to see the Governor. Kristen is hopeful. They go through the trial again and all the evidence. They can't figure out why Tony made the videotape.

 Jack is still trying to get into the account. Meanwhile Peter and the computer guy have accessed the accounts and they find out they need a password, Peter asks if he can get in and the guy says he'll try overriding the security codes. Jack sees a photo of Shanna's daughter, whose name is Jolene, so he tries that and it works. The computer guy breaks through and gets into Peter's account but sees there is someone else in there. Peter tells him to erase his name.

 Mickey comes in and tells John there are arrangements to be made. He tells John that he can have anything he wants for dinner and does he want a priest. John answers that he will think about it. Mickey tells him to hang in there and leaves. Kristen can't believe that he needs a priest, she then says that Father Francis spent a lot of time with Tony before he died and maybe Tony told him things. She decides to go to Salem to see Father Francis. John says that the Father has been in a coma for months but she says she has to try and that she loves John. John replies that he will die knowing she believed in him. Kristen says they will find a way out and leaves.

 Stefano asks Marlena again if there is anything wrong. She replies "no" and that she hasn't been sleeping because of John. He insists that she shouldn't be alone but she says she will be with John. Stefano offers her his support and as Marlena reaches the door she has a flashback of Stefano putting something in the drawer. Stefano turns and asks her if there is anything wrong. She says no and leaves. She goes into the hallway and wonders aloud if Stefano has his memory back and if he is hiding anything from her.

 Jennifer can't hold Mr Billings any longer and he turns and sees Jack at the computer - he goes rushing over and tells Jack off. Jack apologises and says he will return to the original screen. Meanwhile the computer guy has managed to erase Peter's name.

 Marlena goes to John again and he tells her that Kristen has gone to see Father Francis because Tony spent a lot of time with him before he died. He also thinks it is a long shot. Marlena is hopeful. John asks her is she saw Stefano and she tells him that he had asked her to supper and that he seemed supportive. She mentions that she thought Stefano was really angry when she refused his invitation and it made her think that he did have his memory back. John tells her to stay away from Stefano because he is dangerous.

 Mr Billings tells Jack to stay away from the computer and not to go near them again, then he walks off after getting Jacks word. Jennifer asks Jack if he got the information and Jack says he got a first name and it was "Peter".

 Barry (the computer guy) packs up his gear and leaves. Peter thanks him and tells him there will be a big bonus for him. Peter goes and lies down on the bed, confident that he can't be connected to Jude.

Jennifer doesn't believe Jack. He tells her that she doesn't want to face the truth that Peter is involved with Jude and that he is not going to let her go until he convinces her that Peter is working with Jude. He pushes her into another room and closes the door. She asks him what he is doing and he replies that he doesn't want Mr Billings to overhear them. Jennifer goes over to the door and exclaims that no one will hear them as they are in the vault!

John wants Marlena to promise him not to see Stefano but she says she can't because she believes he is hiding something. She tells John about Stefano hiding something in the drawer and that it is probably the evidence that they are looking for. John is not convinced.

Stefano is reading Tony's diary again!
