At Tom's wake, Mickey reads a letter Tom left in the event of his death. Shawn D thinks Gina is angel. Bo tells him who she is. Gina tells Bo she wanted Shawn D to say she was his mother so that she could become a part of Horton family. She feels so alone. Vivian is OK after her fall from the stairs and by doctors orders she must stay at the Kiriakis's. Kristen and John visit the priest for advice. He confirms that Kristen can get an annulment. She tells John that once Tony is well she will tell him and won't make love with either of them. Alice, Julie and Doug go to see Gina in hospital. They show her Hope's Christmas ornament but she doesn't recognise it. She tells them if she was Shawn D's mom, she would feel it. Billie and Kimberly share a moment. (Both were abused).
It's Mike's first day back at the hospital and Gina is his patient. Abe and Roman continue to question Leo, (Peter's drug man). Alice tell Jennifer of her disapproval of her relationship with Peter. Gina overhears Bo and Shawn D talking about Hope. Bo and Mike decide to do a DNA test on Gina and Shawn D., but Gina sneak out of the hospital and hitches a ride to California. Peter takes Jennifer on a romantic picnic and continues to plead his innocence.
Jennifer & Peter make love on their romantic picnic. Bo and Billie go to Salem Place in search of Gina. They ask some women if they recognise Gina from a photo of Hope. (One of these women is Leeza Gibbons). One of the women remembers seeing Gina get in a car heading to California. Bo follows. The guy that Gina has hitched a ride with tries to get fresh with Gina. She tells him to pull over and Bo catches up with them. Bo scares off the driver as he prepares to take Gina back to Salem. His motorbike breaks down.
